Embrace Ethical Beauty: A Guide to Cruelty-Free Makeup Brands
More and more consumers are prioritizing ethical choices. One such choice gaining momentum is the switch to cruelty-free makeup brands. As awareness about animal testing practices grows, individuals are seeking alternatives that align with their values. In this article, we explore the world of cruelty-free makeup brands, shedding light on the importance of making ethical choices in our beauty routines.
Why Choose Cruelty-Free Makeup Brands?
Cruelty-free makeup brands are committed to producing cosmetics without subjecting animals to unnecessary harm during testing. This commitment extends across their entire product development process, ensuring that consumers can enjoy guilt-free beauty without compromising on quality. By choosing cruelty-free brands, you contribute to the global movement advocating for the well-being of animals.
Tips for Identifying Cruelty-Free Products:
Check for Certifications: Look for logos such as the Leaping Bunny or PETA's cruelty-free symbol. These certifications indicate that the brand is committed to cruelty-free practices.
Review Ingredients: Familiarize yourself with common non-vegan ingredients and scan product labels accordingly. Cruelty-free brands often highlight their commitment on packaging.
Research Brands: Visit the official websites of makeup brands to learn more about their cruelty-free status and commitment to ethical practices. Social media platforms are also valuable resources for community feedback.
Making the switch to cruelty-free makeup brands is a powerful way to align your beauty routine with ethical values. By supporting brands that prioritize the well-being of animals, you contribute to a positive change in the beauty industry. Embrace the beauty of compassion and make a conscious choice for a cruelty-free, glamorous lifestyle.

Transfer proof- L. Norris
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lando Norris x Influencer reader!
In which a makeup brand sends you a lipstick that claims to be 100% transfer proof and you need your boyfriends help to put it to the test
Warnings?; making out, hints to sex/oral, can’t think of anymore
Part of my 1k celly :)
“Hi guys! Today we are trying this liquid lipstick from the Brand Lynn’s beauty! This liquid lip claims to be one hundred percent transfer proof, vegan, and cruelty free! You started smiling at your phone that was being held up by your tripod.
“I am going to be wearing this throughout the day and putting it up to multiple different test.” You explained.
Opening up the lipstick you gave it the basic smell tests, before applying.
“There’s no fragrance which I like, and it’s a beautiful red color so I’m very interested to see if it’ll actually hold up to its high claims! You smiled.
“I’m going to be putting it up to a few test! One will be how it lasts while eating, the second will be with drinks, the third will be how pigmented it stays through the day, and the last is to see how it lasts with kissing.”
You give a small goodbye and stopped the recording for the clip to be later added into a whole video, and set off the find Lando for his help.
“Lan baby?” You called to the man as you entered the living room.
“Yeah?” He smiled at the sound of your voice.
“I need your help with a video” you asked giving your best puppy eyes.
“Nope, not again. You’re not staining my face with whatever crap you have this time” he denied at the flashbacks of the last time you had brought him in for help.
“But I promise you’ll like this one!” You tried but all he did was shoot you a pointed look.
“Don’t look at me like that! I’m being serious, it includes one of your favorite things” you smiled as you sat next to him.
“What is it?” He groaned dramatically.
“I need you to make out with me” you spoke
“You need me to make out with you?” He laughed gently.
“Yeah! And it’s not funny, I’m trying to test out a lipstick and I need to find out if it’s kiss proof.” You explained
“Oh baby, you should’ve just said that in the first place. I’ll never turn down getting to kiss you” he smiled as he sat all the way up and pulled you onto his lap.
His hands immediately slipping under his shirt you sported as you made yourself comfortable on top of him.
“Thank you” you smiled.
“Anytime baby” he softly replied before dipping down and pressing his lips against yours.
You two sat like that for a while, lips attacking each others while his hands ran from your hair down your body and yours ran through and tugged on his soft curls.
All was well until you could feel him beginning to grind his hips up and his hands move up your back in attempt to unclasp your bra.
“Lando!” You scolded as you pulled away from him.
“What?!” The boy laughed
“I asked you to kiss me, not fuck me” you depended.
“You’re literally on top of me kissing me like your life depends on it! What did you expect from me?” He whined as you once again smacked his hands away.
“To not be a horny little shit for once” you laughed as you got off of him, not caring to mention the lipstick that had in fact transferred and now covered his lips.
“Wait! Where are you going?”
“To make lunch and test this lipstick out other ways” you called out behind you.
“But babyyy, I have plenty of other ways for you to try it out” he whined, getting up and following you to the kitchen.
“I’m not giving you head Lando!”

Advertising Hero Makeup
Hero makeup brand- what the advertisements look like.
Characters: Bakugou,kirishima, Shoto,Denki, Shinso x GN!Reader
I’m back! Hope y’all enjoy this! There maybe another one of these- idk I really liked doing this and I liked the concept.- if you have any other makeup ideas or characters, feel free to list.
Warning:Suggestive themes for some. Reader is wearing makeup.
Tumblr media
“New Pro Hero makeup brands have been released to the public as of yesterday. And all I can say is it is no bullcrap branding. There seems to actually have been a lot of thought out into these product- cruelty free and safe. There even seems to be ointments in the makeup to help with skin… actual care was put into these products.”
- Vlogger
Bakugou
Tumblr media
Bakugou: Eye shadow palette. Very pigmented. Holds the colors of his hero uniform.
Advertisement: The background is completely white. Bakugou is in his uniform (minus gantlet) and leaning down towards you, a heavy hand resting on your upper face as he kisses you. The other wrapped around your waist to pull you towards him. The top part of your face is covered in bright eye shadow. The colors form a copy of his mark over your skin.
Kirishima
Tumblr media
Kirishimas: Lipstick-Fire Red.
Advertisement: Kirishima in a suit. The tie was loose around his neck and one of his large arms on the armrest and the other around you. You are on your lap, dressed in your own- somewhat tight- business attire. Your face shifted towards camera, with the powerful red lipstick on. You have this look, the best way it can be described as ‘fuck around and find out’. And your hair- thanks to the stylist, gives the same attitude. Kirishima- to his trouble- has a smug and self-satisfied look.
Todoroki
Tumblr media
Todoroki- Concealer and foundation line(hear me out!)
Advertisement: It’s you and Todorki, both smiling brightly at the camera. His arms are wrapped around you as you stand in front of him. His hair is brushed out of his face and yours is too. Both of you are wearing concealer and foundation on certain sections of your face. It’s smooth, having no light bounce off of it while evening out your facial tones. The concealer and the foundation are specifically meant for people with sensitive skin- caused by burns, cuts, or any outcome due to their quirk. It comes in both light and heavy coverage. One of the other more popular advertisements is an image of Shoto holding a Sharpie, a small smile on his face as looks at you. There a heart drawn on your cheek- but half of it is covered. Completely- nothing can be seen.
Denki
Tumblr media
Denki- Highlighter
Advertisement:It's a side view of you and Denki standing face to face. One of Denki’s hands, the one not facing the camera, is on your cheek, lightly rubbing it. This advertisement- with its flashing lights- is startling to say the least. Denki’s other hand, the one facing the camera, rests on your jawline, his thumb on your lower lip. The whole room is dark, minus a yellow flash- fake lighting- illuminating the two of you. It would come on at random- bright and shocking. The camera catches your silhouettes and sections of your and Denki’s face. It catches the highlight, causing your cheekbones and even the tip of your nose to shine a bit. It catches the thumb on your lip, and Denki smirks as though he was about to lean in.
Shinso
Tumblr media
Shinso: Black lip gloss
Advertisement: (Background in the photo is black.) It’s of Shinso, his voice changer hanging on his neck. His purple hair is slightly wild as if just coming off patrol. He’s smirking at the camera, his eyes slightly lidded (fuck me eyes). Around his face are slight dark kisses. The shine from the gloss catches the light and causes them to shimmer. His own light pink lips shimmer, a slanted kiss having been pressed there by you. His tongue is peeking out, licking some of the black shine that lays there.

A new video has been posted to MonkieKid.
The camera flicks on to reveal a person's chest, covered with a black tank, and lower face. Their eyes and hair are out of the shot, leaving their identity a mystery. Soft music plays.
QI XIAOTIAN pops up into view to hold up a tube of lipstick. It's designed to mimic the legendary Ruyi Jingu Bang with the company's name done in gold on the side. He pops off the cap, showing the lipstick's ruby red color, before carefully applying the lipstick.
Once his lips are done up, he turns to his mystery guest and grins before leaning forward and softly kissing them on the lips. When he pulls away, their lips are now slightly red. He grins again at the camera before returning to his partner and beginning to kiss on all the available skin.
When he finally pulls away, his partner is covered in ruby red lipstick marks. XIAOTIAN once again holds up the lipstick to show the camera the brand name before winking. The video ends.

DismalSea: WTF. Is that allowed?!
RibhCute: The Monkie Kid has a partner?!
PrettyTarnya: Wish I was them! RibhCute: FR.
JohntelBrave: Ignore the guy. Let's focus on the lipstick! Do they come in pink?
DragonQueen (mod): I'm glad you all enjoyed the video! Qi Xiaotian is happy to announce his partnership with Liptake Cosmetics, a company that prizes in cruelty-free makeup! They come in all different colors, not just red, and half of the proceeds will go to charity. More info on our profile!

i feel like your taste is so chic and effortlessly cool, so what are your current favorites? anything as far as trinkets, skincare, movies, foods, creators, music ect! I feel like you spend so much time giving advice that it would be fun to learn a lil more about what makes you happy lately! hope you're having a good day!!!
That's so nice of you! I've been collecting the things I've been loving over the past few days and here's what I came up with:
Clothes, makeup, and hair:
Essie Expressie Seize the Minute quick dry nail polish, which is a really nice red with blue undertones
Lisa Says Gah Museo Bianco Elizabeth Dress, which I bought secondhand off Depop. I got it for my trip to Greece but I'm worried it's a little too on the nose so I'm not sure if I'll bring it yet (still very cute though)
Uniqlo Wide Straight Jeans. They're just the right amount of slouchy
This matching set from Amazon. I've been wanting a set like this for a few months now and I ended up being so pleasantly surprised with this one. It ended up being way cuter than in the product pictures and fitting really well
Inkey List Vitamin C Serum. It's made my skin tone way more even and bright, and they're a clean, cruelty free brand
Tir Tir Red Cushion foundation. Mostly I bought it because I think the packaging looks really chic, but the product provides a really nice, buildable coverage as well
Jones Road Miracle Balm in Au Natural. This one I got as a gift and at first I didn't really get how you were supposed to use it, but now I'm really into it. It gives the nicest dewy glow without looking shiny.
Video Essays:
Jenny Nicholson's "The Spectacular Failure of the Star Wars Hotel". She hated the part of the experience that I worked on as much as I hated working on it, so I feel vindicated 😭. If you've ever wondered what it was like to stay at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, this answers that question in such intricate detail that by the end of it you'll feel like you actually went
Quinton Reviews' "The Failure of Victorious" and "The End of Victorious". As you might guess from the titles, it's about the Nickelodeon show Victorious and why it was such a failure. Is this the second time I've watched all thirteen hours of this? Yes. Do I regret it? No, not really.
PhilosophyTube in general, but especially her recent video "I Read The Most Misunderstood Philosopher in the World" which is about Judith Butler's philosophy of gender.
Music:
Chappell Roan. It's Pride month, I'm a queer woman, enough said
I've been getting back into Marina lately, especially her newest album, Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land. She's always been my pick out of the Tumblr sad girl musicians and I'm really impressed with how her music (and her public persona) has grown and changed over the years
I Only Have Eyes for You by Tashaki Miyaki. I heard this song years ago and it randomly popped into my head the other day and would not leave. It's just very vibey
TV:
Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa. I'm in love with him and I think his take on The Doctor is perfect.
Legion. I mostly started watching this because my girl Lauren Tsai is in the third season, but I love it. I think it's a really unique take on the superhero genre.
Bee and Puppycat. This is a show about a girl named Bee and her best friend/pet who is a mysterious creature who looks kind of like a cat and kind of like a dog. They take temporary jobs so that they can afford to buy snacks and leather jackets. It's a really special show, and I've watched it a few times now. The original series is on YouTube, and there's also a series on Netflix that expands on the original episodes.
Books:
Babel by RF Kuang. I'm reading this for a book club and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's about a child in an alternative-reality 1830s England who is adopted from China and taken to Oxford University to study the art of translation.
Emily Wilson's translation of The Odyssey. I've actually never read The Odyssey before because I am bad at being Greek and also at being a supposed descendant of Homer. Dr. Wilson is the first woman to translate The Odyssey into English
Games:
I just finished playing Planet of Lana, which is a really gorgeous puzzle-platformer inspired by the aesthetics of Studio Ghibli films and the gameplay of Playdead games such as Limbo and Inside. It has a great story about a girl who's looking for her sister, who has been abducted by hostile alien machines.
Places:
Wasteland secondhand stores in LA. I've been finding a lot of really great pieces there in the past few weeks, and the pieces I've found there have been around 75-90% off their original price.
La La Kind Cafe. I go to these when I need to convince myself to leave my house. They have a good vibe and the drinks are great.
Miscellaneous Stuff:
Nicola Coughlan. I've been watching all of the interviews she's doing for Bridgerton and I'm obsessed with her whole vibe. Her new dark comedy show about a woman with bipolar disorder, Big Mood, is also really great.
Earscapes. I reopened a bunch of old piercings I had and I'm having so much fun trying different combinations of earrings in them. I honestly can't believe I left them closed for so long.
Using lipstick as blush. I have such a hard time finding blush colors that work for me and then finding a blush that goes with my lipstick. So instead what I've been doing lately is putting on my lipstick, blotting it with my finger, and then using the leftover on my cheeks. It works super well and it means I can stop buying new blush products
This sardine tin makeup pouch. I haven't gotten it yet so I can't tell you how it is, but I just thought it looked so cute, and I needed a makeup bag for travel. I'll let you know if it ends up being good
Baths, just as a general concept. My old apartment didn't have enough hot water to fill up a bath, so I never used to take them, but they're so great? I got this full body bath pillow, which has made it was more comfortable to just relax there.

Not saying he's a beauty guru but Kid knows a thing or two about make up and he has OPINIONS. He knows what's good and can give recommendations. If he knows something you're using his trash and will ruin your skin he'll throw it out and replace it with something better. Punks gotta look out for eachother 💅
since you sent me this a week ago, i haven't been able to get the image of Kid being the One Piece world's equivalent of a beauty youtuber... it was james charles i was thinking about.
but yes, Kid is incredibly educated on makeup and skincare. originally he probably sucked at it and would just plaster on whatever he could find onto his face without caring. then Quincy joins his crew and is just horrified by everything he does to his face. so she sits him down and explains everything she knows about skincare to him. the poor red head is just sat there getting progressively more worried for his very flawless skin.
Quincy easily succeeds (no one wants to argue with a former stylist about makeup) and even helps Kid to develop his own skincare routine. by the time you come along, he knows more about makeup then Quincy does and has a large cabinet full of various serums, creams and eco-friendly/cruelty free make up.
i can't stop thinking about Kid demanding you give him your makeup bag when he joins your crew so he can sort through it and just casually throwing most of it away without explaining why. he's so pretentious about makeup and will outwardly shit on your make up/skincare routine. but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about making sure you have nice skin and a good makeup collection. he'll often be found figuring out what products you need for your skin type or which Kid approved lipstick brands make shades in your favourite colours. he's doing you a favour, but he still would never miss the opportunity to show off how good he is at something.

Ethical fashion | Where to shop
Okay so today we will be talking about ethical shopping, specifically for fashion so today we are going over, what is fast fashion, why would you want to buy from ethical sources, why is it okay to buy from fast fashion and where to buy if you want to shop ethically so lets get into that
What is fast fashion?
ast fashion is cheap articles of clothing made at an increasingly fast rate. Now, just because their cheap, does this specifically mean that the clothing is badly made? Well, not always, but most of the time the quality control is badly managed and so the clothing is not always the best quality. But some people don’t really care about the quality of clothing, they just want cute clothing, now I’m not going to tell you all the reasons you shouldn’t buy from fast fashion but instead all the solutions of what you could instead do if you’d like to have higher quality clothing. lets go onto that section.
Why would you want to buy from ethical sources?
What are some reasons that you would want to buy from ethical sources? Well firstly, as stated before, the quality control will be better therefore you will get better textures, less broken/ prone to breaking items and an article of clothing that will more likely match the picture you expected to get when buying. So generally it’s for you to buy clothing that you’ll wear for longer, more and for comfortability. But thats just some reasons that it would be better for you, does it help anyone else when you buy ethically? Well for one, it helps the planets, ethical brands try their best to be free of animal cruelty and to be environmentally friendly so that the planet we live on stays inhabitable. Another reason is most ethical brands also will not put their workers, and or co-workers in dangerous working conditions and give them lower then minimum wages. Finally, most ethical brands also have ethical views/ mindsets, such as:
Not stealing from artist and even supporting artist by paying them for their time and or collaborating with them by sponsoring them
they might be pro equality by supporting lgbt+, BLM and or research foundations on making the world for minorities a better place
speaks out against injustice by either spreading the word or helping other financially
These are just a few reason of why you might want to support ethical businesses
Why is it okay to buy from fast fashion?
Not everyone can afford ethical fashion, does this mean they shouldn’t buy from cheaper fashion brands that have cute clothing, No! Everyone deserves to feel cute no matter what their financial status is, just don’t do anything that is hurting you for example, if you buy forma makeup company and they come out later saying that their products have given peoples skin rashes and or any other bad reactions, don’t use the makeup. Your health comes first before anything else, yes you deserve to feel cute. But don’t put your physical health or any health for that matter, in danger in the name of beauty. So is it right or correct to buy from fast fashion brands, whos really to say? I for one am not that person to make a decision on something that is not so black and white. Also a lot of fast fashion brands have more sizes being more accesible to plus size people, again, everyone deserves to be cute and if you cannot find your size in an ethical brand. do whats best for you to be your most authentic self. But what about all the people who have taken this into factor and want to stop buying fast fashion and want to buy ehticaly but don’t know where to start? That's what the next section will then cover
Where to buy if you want to shop ethically
o There are a couple of shop I’ve gathered and I will give you some reasons as to why you personally might want to buy from them. Also some places that seem ethical but actually aren’t so just some do’s and don’t of ethical fashion shopping

Makeup. P2
Part one
Tetsu, Shoji, Tokoyami, Aoyama x Reader
Hello, all my bubble bees. IM BACK -for a limited time only. As requested, we have another hero makeup! I did these while taking a break between work, and it was really enjoyable to do. I also can't get over the idea of Deku’s makeup being cosplay makeup—that boy definitely costplayed all might. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
Warnings: Reader wear dress and makeup, possibly suggestive if you squint.

🩶 Tetsutetsu 🩶
Tumblr media
Tetsu: Luid metallic eyeliner
Advertisement: The background was black, allowing all focus to be on you and Tetsu. You stood facing the camera, arms crossed and legs shoulder width apart, a power pose. The tight version of Tetsu’s hero costume was barely visible on your frame. The room was dark, minus the sliver of light that crept in to catch the liquid metallic linear that adorned your face; its mirror-like quality allowed the shape of Tetsu’s signature ‘mask’ to be seen. A mysterious, dangerously flirty smile played on your and testus lips as he ‘looked’ over his flexing arm, his eyes covered in shadow. Tetsu stood behind you, back to yours, as he flexed his arms, his quirk causing the tiny sliver of light to shine over each defined muscle in his bicep and catch on the points of his sharp white smile.
💪 Shoji 💪
Tumblr media
Shoji: Wet Eye Liners - Water Activated Dry Liners Pallet
Advertisement: It was a sweet scene with a calming blue background. You and Shoji sat face to face as the camera caught your side angle, the warm lighting only causing the two of you to rest in your golden hour. You sat on your knees, leaning over to reach the towering man sitting before you. Shoji’s mask remained on, but it was clear from his eyes that he was smiling widely. Your hand held a small brush, a light blue pigment at the end of its bristles as if caught in mid-motion of painting on flowing hearts to his upper cheeks. Your own were adorned with small, beautiful pink flowers that reached the corner of your eyes. The open pallet played to the side, and its light colors were fully displayed to the camera. The label ‘inner calmness’ with all the color's names splayed open.
🖤 Tokoyami 🖤
Tumblr media
Tokoyami: Gothic Eye Shadow Pallet and Black Lquid Linear
Advertisement: It was a dark mansion setting, with a dark background and an almost throne-like chair where you sat. Slightly leaned over to rest your chin on your palm, elbow resting on the armrest. You glanced over at the camera, a confidently dangerous grin on your dark-painted lips. Your hair was woven in a way that portrayed a crown, with silver strands woven in. Your eyeshadow was dark purple blended to black with a slight touch of a dark grey shimmer nestled between the two colors, a sharp glossy cat-eye cutting through the blended color. Tokoyami stood by your side, leaning against the relatively large chair. You both wore black; Tokoyami a suit and you a simple dress with a slight shimmering bottom to compliment the look.
✨ Aoyama ✨
Tumblr media
Aoyama: Fine Body Glitter- Safe to put on eye lids
Advertises:You were standing on the red carpet with Aoyama, your arm resting on his as you turned to model for the many paparazzi. You stare at the camera, a large smile on your lips, a hand on your hip, and the other resting on Aoyama’s. Your strapless shimmering dress with elbow-length matching gloves complemented the shimmering body glitter on shoulders, eyelids, and even hair; which was elegantly pulled up. The lights of hundreds of cameras only made the sparkles more beautiful. Aoyama stood off your side, seeming perfectly fine not to be in the camera flash for once, his eyes glued to you.

Ethical Alternatives to Dolls Kill
While Dolls Kill offers kawaii, punk, goth, and streetwear fashions, they’re an unethical fast fashion company that has been accused of stealing designs from small creators. They’ve also been accused of promoting rape and racism (implying that only white people can be goth, selling a Native American headdress as a costume, and supporting police during the Black Lives Matter movement) and having a lack of transparency in how they reduce their impact on people, animals, and the environment. With this in mind, here are some of my favorite alternatives I found (you can tap on the titles to access the sites)
LOUDBODIES
Tumblr media
This Romania-based retailer offers sizes from XXS-10XL, and you can even make a custom order for free if you'd like! Many of their pieces are pricey, but they do offer an affordable line of fashion. Their values include sustainable and recycled materials, made-to-order clothing, low waste production, OEKO-TEX certified fabrics, carbon neutral shipping, body-inclusive models (see above) and locally-made clothing. They also offer worldwide shipping.
NOCTEX
Tumblr media
NOCTEX is great for dark, goth, edgy fashion. They’re based in Canada and ship internationally. Available sizes only include XS-XL, but this retailer uses reclaimed and deadstock materials, and also have low-waste production. They offer many items including tops, dresses, pants, skirts, footwear, and accessories like bags, makeup, and jewelry, so there’s a lot to choose from!
Uye Surana
Tumblr media
For lingerie lovers, this is the place! While they’re based in New York, their clothing is ethically made in Columbia, with cute designs that come in sizes XS-5XL, so it’s quite inclusive! Items include bralettes, undies, stockings, camis, and garter belts, so go on and be adorably sexy, my loves.
KILLSTAR
Tumblr media
Despite being introduced by Dolls Kill, the UK brand Killstar is actually more ethical. In fact, they’ve cut their ties with the brand over the owner’s support of police during the BLM movement. They’ve donated to charities that promote ending racism (whereas Dolls Kill promoted racism to an extent) and they also promote individuality. They offer sizes XS-4XL (from what I’ve found) and they even have men’s clothing!
Broken Promises
Tumblr media
Another brand that left Dolls Kill, Broken Promises is based in California. Offering sizes XS-3XL, this brand offers clothing that caters to skate culture for all genders. Their clothes are also sold at Zumiez, so if you don’t want to shop online and you would prefer to go to the mall, you’ll probably find them there!
Disturbia
Tumblr media
And another UK gothic brand that was promoted by Dolls Kill, this family-owned business has been going strong since 2003. Their website claims that sustainability is “a core value in [their] ethos”, and their goal is to create fashion that doesn’t harm the environment. They’re committed to recycling and reducing their carbon footprint, and all of their leather is false or recycled to reduce animal cruelty. They have a fully traceable supply chain with manufacturers in the UK, China, Portugal, Turkey, and Morocco, all with safe production facilities. Rest assured, your money will be going to a great place.
Cyberdog
Tumblr media
Ravers, this one is for you. Catering to clubbers and DJs since 1994, Cyberdog offers neon and dark streetwear. They’re based in London, and their flagship store is located in Camden Market, so anyone who lives around the area (or would like to visit) can see these rad designs in person! (P.S: A huge downside is that they only offer sizes S-L, so this brand has the smallest size range on here)
Gothic Lamb
Tumblr media
“The home for melanated misfits”, as their designer calls it, is black-owned and offers sizes from S-5XL, making this brand one of the more inclusive ones on this list. The owner, who calls herself Lucy, founded Gothic Lamb in the summer of 2016. She was inspired by brands like Killstar and Disturbia, however, she found that there was a lack of representation at the time, as she felt that none of the models looked like her, so she decided to create her own. While there is a small collection, it’s still a great collection and it’s a great place to purchase from if you like supporting black-owned businesses.
publicspace
Tumblr media
A vaporwave-streetwear brand based in Los Angeles, CA, they support and collaborate with artists to create their designs (hence why they’re named publicspace). Though they have a small collection, their size range is XS-3XL, so it’s mostly inclusive.
Shop secondhand
You can also shop on Etsy to purchase from independent designers. A much cheaper option would be to shop secondhand. Sites like Poshmark and Depop are great for shopping secondhand, especially if you want to buy from fast fashion brands like H&M and Shein without giving them your money. Alternatively, you can go to your local thrift shop (do not shop at the Salvation Army, they are aggressively Christian, homophobic and transphobic) or consignment store. You can give your unwanted clothes and other items to these places (consignment stores will give you a certain percentage of their price for the item) to help people and need.
In conclusion, please do not buy from unethical fast fashion retailers and consider shopping ethically, whether it be for new or used clothes.
