Trump Wants to Merge Government Data. Here Are 314 Things It Might Know About You.
Elon Musk’s Team is Leading an Effort to Link Government Databases, to the Alarm of Privacy and Security Experts.
— By Emily Badger and Sheera Frenkel | April 9, 2025 | The New York Times
Tumblr media
The federal government knows your mother’s maiden name and your bank account number. The student debt you hold. Your disability status. The company that employs you and the wages you earn there. And that’s just a start.
These intimate details about the personal lives of people who live in the United States are held in disconnected data systems across the federal government — some at the Treasury, some at the Social Security Administration and some at the Department of Education, among other agencies.
The Trump administration is now trying to connect the dots of that disparate information. Last month, President Trump signed an executive order calling for the “consolidation” of these segregated records, raising the prospect of creating a kind of data trove about Americans that the government has never had before, and that members of the president’s own party have historically opposed.
The effort is being driven by Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, and his lieutenants with the Department of Government Efficiency, who have sought access to dozens of databases as they have swept through agencies across the federal government. Along the way, they have elbowed past the objections of career staff, data security protocols, national security experts and legal privacy protections.
So far, the Musk group’s success has varied by agency and sometimes by the day, as differing rulings have come down from federal judges hearing more than a dozen lawsuits challenging the moves. The group has been temporarily blocked from sensitive data at several agencies, including the Social Security Administration. But on Monday, an appeals court reversed a preliminary injunction barring the group’s access at the Treasury, the Department of Education and the Office of Personnel Management.
And this week, the Internal Revenue Service agreed to help the Department of Homeland Security obtain closely held taxpayer data to help identify immigrants for deportation, over the objections of career employees. In the wake of that decision, the acting I.R.S. commissioner and other top officials are preparing to resign.
The categories of information shown here are drawn from 23 data systems holding personal information about the public across eight agencies that Mr. Musk’s aides are seeking to access, according to people familiar with their efforts as well as internal documents and court depositions. In all, The New York Times identified more than 300 separate fields of data about people who live in the U.S. contained in these data systems.
Personal Data Held In Systems DOGE Has Sought To Access

If anything, this list is an undercount. Through his executive orders, Mr. Trump has sought to grant Mr. Musk’s group access to “all unclassified agency records” — a category that leaves out national security secrets but that includes personally sensitive information on virtually everyone in America.
With such data stitched together, Mr. Musk and the White House have said they could better hunt for waste, fraud and abuse.
“The way the government is defrauded is that the computer systems don’t talk to each other,” Mr. Musk said in a recent Fox News interview. Link the data, he suggested, and the government could identify swindlers who collect aid from one agency when the I.R.S. knows their income is too high or when the Social Security Administration knows their age is too low.
But critics such as privacy groups, public employee unions and immigrant rights associations who have sued to block the group’s data access warn that so much accumulated information could be used for far more than detecting fraud — and would be illegal.
This assembled data, they say, would give the government too much power, including potentially to punish critics and police immigrants. It would create a national security vulnerability that could be targeted by hostile nation states. And it would break a longstanding covenant between the federal government and the U.S. public rooted in privacy laws — that Americans who share their personal data with official agencies can trust that it will be secured and used only for narrow purposes.

Privacy advocates say that all this data could enable the government to punish its political opponents by weaponizing information about an individual’s personal life (bankruptcies, criminal histories, medical claims) or halting the benefits they receive (housing vouchers, retirement checks, food assistance).
“They have not demonstrated a single case in which fraud detection has required some universal governmental access to everybody’s data,” said Representative Jamie Raskin, Democrat of Maryland. “In fact, the creation of a monster uniform database of all information on all citizens will be an invitation to fraud and political retaliation against the people.”
That is how personal data is tracked and used in authoritarian states, Mr. Raskin added. Both Russia and China stockpile data on their citizens to track opponents and squash dissent of the ruling party in government.
The White House declined to directly address how it would safeguard and use the data it is seeking to consolidate, including whether the administration is trying to create one central database, citing only its focus on fraud.
“Waste, fraud and abuse have been deeply entrenched in our broken system for far too long,” the White House spokesman Harrison Fields said in a statement. “It takes direct access to the system to identify and fix it.”
Technologists warn that trying to match complex data sets to make decisions about government programs — including by using artificial intelligence to identify waste in government spending, as Musk allies have discussed — could produce rampant errors and real-world harm.
And national security experts note that a large collection of data about American citizens would be an enticing target for enemy nation states, hackers and cybercriminals. Countries including China, Russia and Iran have been behind major breaches of U.S. government databases in recent years, U.S. officials have said.
Private companies and data brokers that buy and sell data know plenty about Americans, too. But a crucial difference lies in what the federal government alone can do with that data, privacy advocates say. Google doesn’t control the apparatus of immigration enforcement. Target doesn’t have the power to halt Social Security payments.
“This gets to a fundamental point about privacy: It is not just the question of, ‘Does anyone else in the world know this about me?’” said John Davisson, the director of litigation at the Electronic Privacy Information Center, which has sued the administration to block DOGE’s access to financial data at the Treasury and federal work force records at the Office of Personnel Management. “It is a question of who knows this about me, and what can they lawfully — or as a practical matter — do with that information?”
Privacy Over Efficiency
Congress debated that question 50 years ago as it considered passing a law to protect the privacy of Americans’ data in the wake of the Watergate scandal and with the growing computerization of personal records.
“Where will it end?” said the Republican senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona at the time. “Will we permit all computerized systems to interlink nationwide so that every detail of our personal lives can be assembled instantly for use by a single bureaucrat or institution?”
With the passage of the 1974 Privacy Act, Americans chose privacy over efficiency, said Julian Sanchez, a libertarian privacy scholar.
“We made a very conscious choice to say we’re accepting the costs of inefficiency,” he said, “because if a unified database came into the hands of someone who wanted to put state power to some repressive purpose, their task would be made too easy by that centralization.”
At times, he said, libertarians have been called paranoid for suggesting such a scenario was still realistic in America in the 21st century.
“I think it’s very evident,” he said, “now it is.”
In Mr. Trump’s March 20 executive order, he called for “eliminating information silos” across the government. Within 30 days, the order states, “agency heads shall, to the maximum extent consistent with law, rescind or modify all agency guidance that serves as a barrier to the inter- or intra-agency sharing of unclassified information.” The administration has not specified who would be able to view data that gets consolidated across the government, but the order broadly grants wide-ranging access to federal officials “designated by the president or agency heads.”
The president also is targeting information held by states, seeking “unfettered access to comprehensive data” related to programs that receive federal funding.
The White House did not respond to the concerns raised by critics about the risks of pulling these data streams together.

It remains to be seen whether the courts will ultimately permit the administration’s efforts, some of which appear to run counter to the Privacy Act and other laws.
The Privacy Act prohibits agencies from disclosing personal information without your consent. Agencies also generally aren’t supposed to share data across the government for a purpose unrelated to why it was originally collected.
That means, for example, that the government shouldn’t use personal data you handed over to apply for student loans to later carry out immigration enforcement against your parents. Or use information you filed to itemize your tax deductions to later identify you as a supporter of left-leaning causes.
“The government is not necessarily supposed to be thinking creatively about how it can combine all of the information that it has ever collected about you and your family across dozens of databases over the course of your entire life to find out new things about you,” said Aman George, senior counsel with Democracy Forward, a liberal-leaning legal group that has brought some of the lawsuits against DOGE.
There are some exceptions to legal privacy standards, including for criminal investigations and for government employees who need restricted data to do their lawfully assigned jobs. But courts that have blocked DOGE’s data access, for now, have found that Mr. Musk’s team probably doesn’t have such a need given the group’s vague and shifting mandate.
“Instead, the government simply repeats its incantation of a need to modernize the system and uncover fraud,” wrote district Judge Ellen L. Hollander in issuing a temporary restraining order at the Social Security Administration. “Its method of doing so is tantamount to hitting a fly with a sledgehammer.”

The Internal Revenue Code and Social Security Act add even stricter protections to tax data. And other laws have set security standards for maintaining government data and made it a crime to access a government computer or share data without authorization.
Mr. Musk’s team, according to Times reporting and court filings, has also targeted dozens of systems that track federal employees, government acquisition and contracting, and government spending to businesses and outside entities while pursuing widespread staff reductions across the bureaucracy.
The Cost of Wrong Results
The notion of connecting government data systems is much harder than it sounds, former officials said.
When the I.R.S. tried to study if it could identify people eligible for the earned-income tax credit about a decade ago, it ran into different programs and data sets using different definitions for “family” and “income,” said Nina Olson, the former national taxpayer advocate at the I.R.S. from 2001 to 2019.
Try matching data across an even wider array of government systems, and the incongruities would multiply.
“The data is not fit for the purpose that you’re trying to use it for,” said Ms. Olson, the executive director of the Center for Taxpayer Rights, which is also suing the government. “And you’ll get wrong results, and there’s consequences to those wrong results.”
People could be cut off from benefits or identified for deportation for suspicious indicators that have benign explanations. However, Mr. Musk has shown little interest in the details of those explanations. He has repeatedly misrepresented data about dead people and immigrants receiving Social Security. He has suggested something nefarious must explain a surge in tax credits that can be traced to expansions of the child tax credit and pandemic relief.
What happens if a family claiming a tax credit for the first time is flagged for fraud — and has their Medicaid cut off, too?
“What will their resolution process be? Will they act first and deal with the fallout later?” said Elizabeth Laird with the Center for Democracy and Technology. “People who maybe are like, ‘Well, I got notified my data was breached 10 years ago and I’ve been fine’ — I don’t think they’ve been subjected to what we may see this used for.”
About This Project
To identify the data variables shown here, The Times compiled a list of data systems DOGE has sought to access, relying on reporting and legal documents. For each data system, we then gathered the data collection elements listed in Privacy Impact Assessments or System of Records Notices required by law. Where that information was vague (for example your “tax records”), we relied on other documentation to compile more specific data fields (like the line items on a 1040 individual income tax return). In some cases, DOGE has sought access to data retrieval systems and data warehouses that pull information from many separate systems. In such cases, we tried to identify information in those interconnected systems, too.
While we identified about 80 data systems in total that have been targeted by DOGE, this analysis illustrates only those that contain personal information about the American public. We excluded data systems that hold personal information only on federal employees; those that contain primarily information about businesses and institutions; and those that manage internal processes, like setting up emails and sending out invoices. Our definition of the American public includes many smaller subpopulations, like anyone who has ever applied for a federal job, a student loan, a research grant or unemployment benefits. Data collected about those groups (for example, the college you attended if you had a student loan) may not be known by the government about everyone in America.

Merging Different Databases: A Guide to Seamless Integration
Merging different databases is a crucial task for businesses and organizations aiming to consolidate data, enhance operational efficiency, and improve decision-making. Whether you're integrating databases due to a merger, system upgrade, or need for unified reporting, the process requires careful planning and execution. This article outlines the key considerations, challenges, and best practices involved in merging databases.
Why Merge Databases?
There are several reasons why organizations may need to merge multiple databases, including:
Business Mergers and Acquisitions: When companies merge or acquire other businesses, they often need to consolidate their data to ensure operational consistency and unified reporting.
System Integration: Organizations might use different software platforms or databases for various departments. Merging databases ensures that all information is centralized, leading to streamlined operations.
Data Unification: Merging databases can help eliminate data silos, allowing all departments or stakeholders to access the same, up-to-date information. This leads to better collaboration and more informed decision-making.
Challenges of Merging Different Databases
Merging databases comes with several challenges, which, if not properly managed, can lead to data loss, inconsistency, or operational disruptions.
a. Data Inconsistency
Different databases may use varying data formats, structures, and types. For instance, one database may store dates in "MM/DD/YYYY" format, while another uses "YYYY-MM-DD." Such inconsistencies can lead to errors if not addressed during the merging process.
b. Duplicate Records
When merging databases, duplicate entries can be a significant issue. The same data or customer may exist in both databases under slightly different names or IDs, leading to redundancy and confusion.
c. Data Integrity
Maintaining data integrity during the merging process is crucial. This means ensuring that all data relationships, such as foreign keys and unique constraints, are preserved in the merged database.
d. Compatibility Issues
Different databases may be running on different systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), and migrating between these platforms requires careful handling of queries, indexing, and stored procedures to avoid compatibility issues.
Best Practices for Merging Different Databases
To ensure a smooth and successful database merge, follow these best practices:
a. Perform a Thorough Data Audit
Before merging databases, conduct a comprehensive audit to understand the structure, data types, and integrity constraints of each database. Identify discrepancies or conflicts, such as inconsistent field formats or duplicate records, so you can address them before the merge.
b. Data Cleansing and Standardization
Data cleansing involves removing duplicate records and correcting errors before merging the databases. Standardizing data formats ensures compatibility, making it easier to merge fields from different databases without conflict.
c. Use ETL Tools
ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools are commonly used for data migration and integration. These tools extract data from multiple sources, transform it into a common format, and load it into the target database. Popular ETL tools such as Apache NiFi, Talend, or Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) can streamline the process.
d. Test Before Final Integration
Before the final merge, run tests on a sample dataset. This allows you to identify and fix any errors or inconsistencies before committing to a full-scale merge. Testing helps prevent data loss and ensures all operations function correctly in the merged system.
e. Backup Data
Always backup both databases before proceeding with the merge. In case something goes wrong during the process, having a backup ensures you can restore your data and avoid permanent losses.
Post-Merge Considerations
After the merge, it’s essential to perform thorough testing and validation to ensure that all data has been integrated correctly. Check for issues such as missing records, broken links, or mismatched data types. Additionally, update any documentation or user guides to reflect the new database structure.
Conclusion
Merging different databases can be a complex but rewarding process that brings enhanced efficiency and better data management to an organization. By following best practices—such as conducting a thorough audit, using ETL tools, and testing before final integration—you can minimize risks and ensure a seamless database merge. Whether you're merging due to business growth, system upgrades, or organizational consolidation, proper planning and execution are key to a successful outcome.

Do you have any ‘rare’ supernatural creatures?
Writing Ideas: Rare Supernatural Creatures
Bokkenrijders: Little is known about these figures from Dutch folklore, who called the name of the devil to summon flying goats that they would ride through the air, to practice untold acts of mischief. The name — "goat riders" in Dutch — was applied in the 18th century to bands of robbers that wild rumors described as the terrifying, flying goat riders of legend. Men suspected of being bokkenrijders were tortured and executed, with accusations condemning 31 people from a single municipality in Belgium between 1744 and 1776, the Belgian website Flanders Today reported.
Draugr: The resurrected corpses of Viking warriors, were terrifying, zombie-like mythical creatures that roamed the world searching for their victims. They could be clearly recognized by the stench of rotting flesh and their deathly black or blue skin. The draugr possessed staggering strength, could increase their body size as they wished, and haunted the dreams of the living. In some versions of the myth, these undead mythological creatures were also thought to have several magical powers such as shapeshifting, premonitions, and weather control. The only motivation for these bloodthirsty creepy creatures was to slaughter any living being, whether humans or livestock, to satiate their thirst for flesh and blood. The draugr condition appeared to be contagious, like modern ideas of zombies, as those killed by the draugr would resurrect themselves as these creatures. The draugr were pretty indestructible, and the only way to kill them was through decapitation, incineration of the body, and discarding of the ashes in the sea.
Finfolk: In the Orkney Islands, an archipelago off the northeastern coast of Scotland, people once whispered of the Finfolk, a tribe of sorcerers and shapeshifters who were skilled at boating and who could bend the ocean to their will. Finfolk could live underwater or on land, though their permanent home was usually described as a marvelous city at the bottom of the ocean, and they would venture into towns and villages to steal humans as husbands or wives, according to Orkneyjar, a nonprofit website describing Orkney history and folklore.
Futakuchi-onna: This eerie creature looks like an ordinary woman, but has a ravenous second mouth on the back of her head, hidden by her hair. The mouth is insatiable; it gorges on any food it can find, fed by animated strands of the woman's hair, and usually appears as a punishment afflicting people who are extremely greedy or stingy, according to Yokai.com, an online database of Japanese ghosts and monsters.
Gashadokuro: Gigantic mythological creatures amalgamated from the bones of human skeletons in Japanese mythology. In situations of mass death, such as famines or wars, individuals could not receive proper funeral rites and thus were unable to move on after death. As their bodies decayed, their souls became twisted with wrath and resentment towards the living. Their souls and bones merged into one enormous being called a Gashadokuro, translated as the “starving skeleton.” Terrifyingly silent, aside from the unnerving chattering of their teeth, these mythical creatures skulked around deep in the night, looking for their prey. Finding their victim, they decapitated them and drank their blood. A Gashadokuro would continue terrorizing the night until the resentment of every soul residing within the creature had dwindled, no longer animating the skeletal monster.
Mare: In Norse mythology, a mare was a demonic spirit who had the ability to induce nightmares in sleeping people. During the night, this mythological creature would sneak into a person’s home through their keyhole. Climbing upon the chest of the sleeping individual, they would provoke terrifying nightmares based upon the sleeper’s fears and anxieties. Their victim would experience a heavy weight on their chest, awareness of a dark presence, and find themselves unable to move or wake up, an ancient mythological explanation of what is now known as sleep paralysis. A mare was considered a female demon who was typically depicted as either a youthful, beautiful woman or an old, hideous hag.
Nuckelavee: The Scottish Nuckelavee is a "skinless centaur" with a snout like a pig's that expels gusts of steam, a single enormous eye, and arms that drag upon the ground, according to the "Encyclopedia of Fairies in World Folklore and Mythology" (McFarland, 2013). It lives in the ocean and can kill people by breathing on them, leading them to waste away and eventually die.
Penanggalan: In Malay myth, a Penanggalan was once a mortal woman who performed witchcraft and black magic. A popular version of the myth states that one woman agreed to become vegetarian for 40 days in exchange for youthful beauty. Ultimately, she broke her pact and was cursed to become a flesh-eating Penanggalan. During the day, she resembled an ordinary woman, but at night, her head would detach from her body, floating around with her trailing entrails. This disembodied figure flew around searching for sustenance in the form of pregnant women and infants, draining them of their blood; those fed on by this vampiric creature ended up contracting a fatal disease. Returning to her abode, a Penanggalan would soak herself in vinegar to shrink her organs back into her body. A Penanggalan, therefore, could be recognized during the day by this tell-tale smell of vinegar.

The League's Property damage video nights are an insane ritual on the Watchtower, where their largest screen is hijacked so that dragged footage from CCTV cameras, government databases, and social media of the most hilarious, costly disasters can be played.
Some notable mentions:
Superman got confused/distracted trying to save a building cut in half during a fight and accidentally permanently fused it onto a totally different building (they decided to merge companies)
Aquaman flooding a small space to fight someone and the resulting wave lifts all the cars on the street and sends them sailing
One of Oliver's explosive arrows blows up fireworks in warehouse district (leading to several flights getting grounded or rerouted)
Diana lassoed something flying and it yanked her so hard that she took out a traffic light and dragged it fifteen blocks with her
Barry tripped over something while running and was too shocked to phase through anything, going crashing (and bouncing) off multiple cars, a fire hydrant, taking out a post box before finally faceplanting to a halt
Hal used the classified schematics from a next-gen fighter jet to make his own construct, causing the Pentagon to lose all the money they'd invested in it

I am building so many hcs for Moon in my mind I love her so much enough so to think abt ancient politics girlie better consider herself lucky (I say, as if fictional politics becoming to long dead societies isn't my favorite shit to explore)
#rat rambles#rain posting#anyways I like the idea that moon was first built during a time when the original nation that lived in the area had been split into two#she was built near one of the borders in a location that many of the organizations that had been carrying out iterator constructions at the#time had been eyeing for a while but avoiding because of the high tensions between the two nations and how itd be hard to not use resources#from across the border from either side to keep her operational#eventually though one of them was given the thumbs up and started construction leading to a lot of conflict#for a long time it was mostly just diplomatic arguments through messages and meetings but eventually as moon neared completion the topic#of which nation she should be considered to belong to became a major point of contension and there was a minor war over it#eventually the nation that had initially backed her construction gave up due to some natural distaters#so by the time moon was activated she was considered an iterator of the other nation and as such she had quite a bit of adapting to do as#while she had both of the primary languages of the nations in her database pretty much all of her database and internal functions were#written by and with the laguage of the initial nation that backed her construction#eventually this stopped mattering as the two nations ended up merging and the newly founded government remerged the two languages#I say remerged as they were initially different branches of the primary laguage of the initial nation that had falled apart#although moon found it nice to be able to use many of the words she wasnt allowed to use before it was annoying to have to once again#adjust to speaking a different language primarily#although she definitely did find it funny watching the others struggle to use the new language organically as she had a head start in#understanding how a lot of the 'new' stuff was actually used in practical conversation as opposed to straight translation#many iterators that were around during the two nation era will still usually exclusively think in their local language and occasionally#speak in it fully in more casual settings if they get that luxury#now ofc language evolves over time so all iterators have had to adjust how they speak but generally speaking they still are most#comfortable with their original language as its what they were built to speak

Merge Database Software: Streamlining Data Integration for Enhanced Efficiency
In today's data-driven world, businesses and organizations rely heavily on efficient data management to make informed decisions, improve operations, and drive growth. One critical aspect of data management is the ability to merge multiple databases seamlessly. Merge database software is designed to address this need, offering tools to combine data from different sources into a cohesive and accessible format. This article explores the benefits, features, and considerations when choosing merge database software.
Benefits of Merge Database Software
Improved Data Consistency: Merging databases ensures that data from various sources is consistent and up-to-date. This reduces discrepancies and ensures that all users are working with the same information.
Enhanced Data Accessibility: By combining multiple databases into a single, unified system, users can access all relevant data from one location. This improves efficiency and makes it easier to retrieve and analyze information.
Streamlined Operations: Merge database software automates the process of integrating data, saving time and reducing the risk of human error. This allows IT teams to focus on more strategic tasks.
Better Decision-Making: With a unified database, decision-makers have a comprehensive view of the organization's data. This enables more accurate analysis and better-informed decisions.
Cost Savings: Efficient data integration can reduce the need for multiple data storage solutions and minimize maintenance costs. This can lead to significant savings over time.
Key Features of Merge Database Software
Data Mapping and Transformation: The software should offer tools to map data fields from different databases and transform data into a consistent format. This ensures that merged data is accurate and usable.
Conflict Resolution: When merging databases, conflicts can arise due to duplicate records or differing data formats. Advanced conflict resolution features help identify and resolve these issues automatically.
Support for Multiple Data Sources: The software should be compatible with various database types and formats, such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases. This flexibility allows for seamless integration across different platforms.
Scalability: As organizations grow, their data integration needs will evolve. The software should be scalable to accommodate increasing data volumes and complexity.
Real-Time Synchronization: For businesses that require up-to-the-minute data, real-time synchronization ensures that merged databases are always current.
Security and Compliance: The software should provide robust security features to protect sensitive data during the merge process. Compliance with industry standards and regulations is also crucial.
Considerations When Choosing Merge Database Software
Ease of Use: The software should have an intuitive interface and straightforward setup process. This ensures that users can quickly learn and effectively utilize the tool.
Customizability: Different organizations have unique data integration needs. The ability to customize the software to fit specific requirements is a valuable feature.
Vendor Support and Training: Reliable customer support and training resources can help users maximize the software's potential and address any issues that arise.
Cost: Consider the total cost of ownership, including licensing fees, implementation costs, and ongoing maintenance. Choose a solution that offers the best value for your organization.
Integration with Existing Systems: Ensure that the merge database software can seamlessly integrate with your current IT infrastructure and other software applications.
Conclusion
Merge database software is an essential tool for organizations seeking to streamline their data integration processes. By providing a unified and consistent view of data, these tools enhance accessibility, improve decision-making, and drive operational efficiency. When selecting merge database software, consider factors such as ease of use, customizability, vendor support, cost, and compatibility with existing systems. Investing in the right software can significantly improve your organization's data management capabilities and support long-term growth.

Recategorizers and unhiders for clothing from the University EP: • the recategorizers enable young adult clothes for adults + you'll also have clothing category options for some of them; • the unhiders will reveal University clothing and hats that are already enabled for adults/elders but hidden in CAS.
They come as unmerged files so you can pick & choose. This matters if you want to use default replacements for some of this stuff, as some default replacements are not compatible with recategorizers (see the note on compatibility at the bottom of the post). If you would prefer a merged version, check out this MTS post by Windkeeper.
Download links & further details under the cut.
Recategorizers
They will affect these clothes and their recolors:
Tumblr media
All will be available for adults as well as young adults. For some of them you'll have to choose between 2 categorization options (e.g. ymbodypajamasboxers can stay underwear-only or be enabled for sleepwear as well). Hopefully the file names are clear enough.
I did not include the University clothes that Maxis duplicated and gave to adults with the Nightlife EP (like ymbodyturtleneckmod / ambodyturtleneckmodep2 or yfbodyhipmicrominiskirt / afbodyhipmicrominiskirtep2).
Some of the recolors are pinned to University, some are pinned to the Base Game, I just left it how Maxis did it (the ones pinned to BG are basically age conversions of BG teen clothes).
The game has them all enabled for townies except the togas, yfbodyblazerpants, ymtopcrazybody and ymbodyshorts for some reason. I didn't edit that except to disable townie spawn on separates in their versions that are enabled for categories other than everyday. That's because I'm not too sure about the ability of the game to assign non-everyday separates properly (I've seen townies get assigned, for example, an athletic top with a nude bottom as their athleticwear) so I'd rather be on the safe side. Reminder that to be able to select separates in categories other than everyday, you need LazyDuchess's Separates4all mod.
↳ Download recategorizers: SFS / Mega
Btw the ymbodytoga recategorizer includes the recolors with tank tops under the toga, I don't think they're actually used in game (edit: nvm they are used during toga parties) but there were property sets for them so here you go.
Tumblr media
~
Unhiders
These will be made available in CAS:
Tumblr media
They're all disabled for townies, categorized as everyday. You can find the mascot hats in the unnatural bin:
Tumblr media
↳ Download unhiders: SFS / Mega
~
Note on compatibility with default replacements
[The short of it is, recategorizers & unhiders conflict with default replacements that already contain Property Sets, which you can check for in simPE.]
Each CAS item recolor has 1 associated Property Set. Recategorizers & unhiders are edited Property Sets. Some default replacements also contain Property Sets. Those default replacements will therefore conflict with recategorizers and unhiders.
Texture-only and mesh-only default replacements generally do not contain Property Sets and are therefore compatible. Default replacements that replace both mesh and textures frequently do include Property Sets. When that's the case, using a separate recategorizer or unhider alongside the default replacement won't work. If you want to change the clothing category of your default replacement, you need to open it in simPE and edit its Property Set directly (the "category" value specifically). To learn how to do it, see this guide by AlmightyHat.
~
As you can probably tell from the previews, I used the sims 2 default database as reference. Hopefully I didn't forget anything, let me know if I did.

~ NEW RELEASE (WIP) ~
Everyone knows vampires: bloodthirsty, unholy creatures, some barely any better than animals. You never thought you'd become one yourself. You're a believer in the new gods - but here you are, trying not to feel that they've abandoned you. Feed, fight, and flee from the sun, all while looking for a cure to turn your life, or lack of it, right again in Glass Fangs (Twine). @glassfangsif
You are the heir to the Dracian kingdom, born of dragon blood and royal lineage—but you know nothing of this truth. To protect you from the tyrannical king of Dracia—your own grandfather—your parents sacrificed their lives. They hid you away, ensuring the prophecy that foretells his downfall would survive, even if they could not. - Rise of the Forsaken (CScript).
Dazzling phantom thief heists, romantic meetings in the dead of night, and making a name for yourself; The Mysterious Thief, Forget Me Not (Ren’Py) is a mostly linear girl's love visual novel that features multiple POVs throughout. The story is set in the fictional city of Twinbells, England, and shows how the lives of our four main characters are changed forever when a ballet company — and its treasured jewel — visits the phantom thief-loving city. @solsketchbook
Rigor Mortis (Ren’Py) is a visual novel for goths of all stripes who are surviving under late-stage capitalism. Discover the adventures of Lunis Culpeper, 12-year-old newlydead, as she learns about (un)life in the (under)world the hard way.
Your life as an alchemist has been safe and comfortable so far... but when your sister makes you one last wish before passing away, you'll embark on a dangerous journey that might change your life—and the lives of your two companions—forever. Hopefully, you'll also learn to see the world in a new light after this Trek to Dead Water (Ren’Py).
Take centre stage as a former-rockstar turned actor navigating your new career and the chilling grip of fan-obsession in Scapegoated (CScript). Your once-famous band may be nothing short of a ghost of the past to you, but the rest of the world cannot seem to let go. The split in 1968 was scandalous, abrupt and mysterious. And although you’ve thrown yourself into acting and secured your first major role with a big time Hollywood director, whispers of blame have been on your tail ever since.
You are the illegitimate child of King Aldric the ruler of one of the seven kingdoms Ceryndor, marked by your half elven heritage and shunned by society. Born under a cloud of prejudice and tragedy, you are feared as the “Black Wolf” – an omen of misfortune and a harbinger of chaos. When the son of a wealthy trader is found dead, the fragile peace in your land begins to crumble. The investigation leads you to uncover secrets that could shake the foundations of the seven kingdoms. Will you embrace the tyranny they accuse you of, or will you rise above the scars of your past and forge your own path in War of Crowns (CScript)?
A Life in a Year (Unity) is a narrative-driven adventure game that explores the emotional challenges of studying abroad. You play as Laura, a 16-year-old exchange student in a Nordic country. The game navigates themes like language barriers, cultural differences, friendship, family, and more.
Your trade as a Keeper is suffering under the rule of the current Emperor, but you've just gotten lucky – the Summit Library, the largest and most important Library in the Eawin Empire, has requested your services. But when you arrive you suddenly find yourself in a dangerous magical mystery: something's wrong with the books, and the Library is falling apart at the seams. Also, there might be a war? But The Summit Library is situated on neutral territory, so that doesn't affect you... Right?

4t2 High School Years Cabinet and some Posters
Here is a cabinet from High School Years and some posters separated from Discover University. The cabinet has all new mapping and it's own smaller texture. The original separated conversions are by @sforzcc .
The cabinet's original two colors are merged with the mesh. There is a separate file with recolors in (something close to) @shastakiss retro palette.
The posters have three swatches each, which appear twice because of how the subsets of the master object work.
Cabinet costs 80 (surfaces - misc), posters cost 2.
The five posters are repo'd to pixelry's conversion of the Display of Affections (see here in the database).
Cabinet requires Lordcrumps shadow file (not included).
