Killer x Reader (Gender-Neutral/Nonbinary)

Warnings: Fluff, slight angst with reader’s past, comfort, technical spoilers on Killer’s past

“Are you sure, (Name)? Drinks are on me,” Your captain says with a huge smile.

You are all docked on a perfect wintery island currently celebrating the holiday through festivals and partying. It was a nice change to have your crew welcomed to the island when citizens usually try to scare you off or fear your captain and crew.

You nod your head with a small smile. “Yeah. I am sure. I think I’m just going to turn in for tonight. Drink lots for me, Kid!”

He waves you off as he chugs down a drink. You shake your head with a smile as you begin to leave the bar to head back to the ship, but not before giving your current lover, Killer, a smile of reassurance so he knows you are okay.

The second you are outside in the snow and can no longer see your crew members, you let your façade drop. You let the frown on your face form and the sadness in your heart come out. It feels like forever since you felt like this. You have been so happy with Kid’s crew that you haven’t thought about your family in ages… It was not until you saw the holiday lights and cheer that you got reminded of them, that you felt off.

As you watched the crew take a quick island tour before heading straight for the bar, you realized what it was. You miss your family. You miss them badly. The loneliness without them feels like it can tear you open, and it worsens since you aren’t that close to your family anymore. It worsens since you are estranged from them.

You remember all the good and sweet times with them when you were younger and how those holidays slowly took a turn for the worse as you grew older. It hurts. While you would love to join the crew and drink to your heart’s content, you honestly still feel out of place here. Even if you have been with them for a while and they have been so welcoming, despite their harsh appearances, you love them all. You adore them and feel that familial connection you have been craving.

As for Killer… you fell for him hard when he proved himself to be such a loyal friend. The talks you had when you first joined were almost non-existent. That was until you found out the man has a thing for historical facts and with that simple fact, you found… It was quite easy to talk to him. You would talk about everything, no matter the topic and he would give you more facts on said topics. You learned quite a lot with him and eventually, the both of you just turned into more than friends.

You have a soft smile gracing your features when you think about how Kid found out. He was elated for his best friend. Since you truly got to know the Kid Pirates, you have had nothing but good feelings for them. This is why you get angered quickly when citizens are so quick to judge them, then you have to remind yourself that is the life of a pirate.

As the both of you fell more in love, you realized quite a few things about the man. The number one thing you wish you could help him with was the fact he hates his own laugh. Upon finding that out your heart would not stop aching for him. It made you upset, but of course, you were understanding and promised that there was nothing wrong with his laugh.

You remember your first technical fight. You wince at the thought of that memory. It was over something small too, or well not small, but something you wished you knew about sooner. How the captain named his ship after his and Killer’s first love, Victoria. You wished you knew just because that alone is important to know. Naming something after someone is a huge thing to do. It is keeping their memory alive.

You regret the way you told him he should have told you – it made you sound insecure, but you weren’t. You just really wanted to know the important stuff about him. While the fight lasted a mere half day, the awkwardness that followed that was a few days. But it made the both of you stronger together.

You chuckle to yourself now. Your cheeks feel warm as your fingers feel a bit too cold from the snow. You shouldn’t be reminiscing about how far you have come in life, how you left your family and feel lonely now. You feel guilty for feeling these things because the crew you are with now has proved multiple times that you are part of their family.

You feel the wetness in your eyes coming and you are quick to rub at them. Then out of nowhere, you feel a warm arm pull you into a chest. You recognize the smell immediately as they hold you and you let out a small sniffle as try not to cry in front of them.

It takes but a few minutes to take in Killer’s scent and feel a bit better before you pull away. As you do so you notice he holds something in his hand, a cup. You raise an eyebrow, and you wish you could see his face right now but given that you are in public, that’s not happening.

“What are you doing here?” You ask softly.

He hands the cup, and you are surprised to feel that it’s warm. You can hear the warmth in his voice as he answers, “Checking on you. I know how much you like chocolate stuff, so I got you hot chocolate.”

He asks a silent question. You can feel it in his gaze, and you answer softly, “I just felt lonely for a second. It overwhelmed me. I am fine now. Thank you, Killer.”

He stays silent as you take a sip of your beverage, allowing the warm drink to dance on your tongue and warm up your body from the inside. It tastes good. It tastes even better when Killer grabs your free hand and says, “You never have to feel lonely. I got you. I will always have you.”

The unspoken words are, he is not going anywhere. He will always be by your side. You feel genuine happiness as he tries to comfort you through his silent presence.

You bring him into a side hug as you sip your hot chocolate. “Thank you, Killer.”

And he is right. You can feel the loneliness that overwhelmed you slowly fading away as Killer gives your hand a comforting squeeze.

I know you all probably don't wanna hear me ramble yet again, so I'll get straight to the point lol.

I got the inspiration for this idea from @creativepromptsforwriting and her Holiday event "24 Days of Gift-Giving" which I have linked right here. So please go show her and her blogs tons of love!

Instead of 24 days though I'll be doing 12 as you can see from the banner of this little announcement.

For the next 12 days, I will be posting prompt lists for the holiday season and the winter season. Some will be short, some will be long, some will be cozy, and some will be scary.

But no matter what they are I hope you all enjoy these prompt lists and use them how you see fit! And like always if you do use these prompts please tag me so I can see what you’ve made!

It couldn’t have been very long, but after an uneventful trial Jake arrives back at the campground to find his stash—sadly—empty. Leftovers taken by the Entity, presumably.

Except for one, which jar definitely not been there before.

“Well… that’s suspicious.”

Jake was not, however, the kind to be swayed from his actions by a bit of suspicion and worry for the consequences of his actions. The peppermint liqueur was pretty good, anyway.

Maybe he should have been a little more cautious.

to go along with that post about the whole issue of Good GUys Come From Cold Places, tropical and warm places are the Other Places, the vacation spots, the places the bad guys hide out in, the go-wild-slut-era-on-the-beach spots.... idk thoughts on the whole conception of hominess and coziness being very tilted in that direction too. where are the conceptions of coziness that are thirty people’s slippers in a pile at the door, or holidays that are steam trays full of food on folding plastic tables at the beach, cozy handycrafting that looks like woven mats and paroles rather than only sweaters and socks and the physical paraphenelia of living in a cold place?

Law x Female Reader

Warnings: fluff, confession which leads to some spicy content – just a heavy makeout and heavy petting, hints of further stuff lol but we don’t get into that.

You were so happy to get off the submarine soon. The cold winter island is going to be such a blessing for all of you who have, unfortunately, got used to the heat of working in the submarine. The uniforms that you refused to wear do not help with the heat. You were glad Law let you dress casually because if you had to wear that uniform in the submarine you were sure you were going to melt completely.

You begin to hear the rest of the crew leave the submarine, meaning it is almost time for freedom and maybe barhopping with Penguin and Sachi. Or window shopping with Bepo and Law. Either way, you can’t wait to stretch your legs.

As you look around your tiny living area you wonder how much money you should bring, and what type of presents to buy the crew since the island is celebrating a holiday, one that you haven’t been able to celebrate in years. You sigh and tense up greatly as you hear a knock at your door.

You turn to see your captain, Law peering in with a small smile on his face. “Glad you’re still here. Don’t leave the sub yet. I have something to tell you. We can walk out together in a few minutes.”

You raise an eyebrow in slight confusion before nodding your head. “Sure thing, Law. I’ll see you at the door.”

You find this odd. Mainly because Law either avoids you when you stop at an island, or he sticks to your side along with Bepo. Though in both cases he is always casual. So, him wanting to talk to you before you depart onto the island is just odd and it makes your heart flutter at the thought of being almost alone on the submarine with him (aside from those who just keep an eye on the submarine while others go exploring).

In fact, you can’t really recall a time when you were alone with Law since the crew was always nearby. Your eyes widen with anxiety – have you messed up somehow? Is he displeased? Or maybe… Nah – you don’t want to give your heart false hope since you do in fact find your captain devilishly attractive. The small hope that somehow this small talk he wants to have could lead to something… hot or… thrilling does not leave the back of your mind as you force your anxiety to leave your brain and prepare yourself for whatever Law has to tell you.

When you feel confident enough, you leave your room and begin to head up towards the door leading out of the submarine and out onto the deck of it. You find Law waiting at the bottom of the staircase, and he has a pleased look upon seeing you. He has a small teasing smirk as he says, “Sorry, if I caused any anxiety by mentioning I needed to talk with you. I just wanted to bring up something that has been on my mind.”

He begins to climb the stairs at a slow pace, making sure you are right beside him as he goes up. He continues, “I just noticed how long you have been here with us… with me. I appreciate all the good work you do and your personality that helps the ship thrive. I truly do not think I could have gotten this far on the Grand Line without you, (Name).”

You reach the last step of the staircase, and he looks at you with a softness in his eyes. You are becoming confused because this no longer sounds threatening or like he is going to throw you out of the crew. No, in fact… It sounds like…

You let out a gasp once he opens the door, immediately recognizing the plant hanging outside the doorway. Law smiles widely now as you conclude this is not a dream. He really is about to say something you have been dreaming of. Your heart is beating fast as he takes one of your hands to lead you directly under the mistletoe.

“I really could not have gotten this far without you. I don’t think I ever want to imagine a life without you. You have been an amazing supportive crewmember in this pirate family and only if the feeling is mutual, I would like our relationship to change into something more romantic,” Law says coolly as his tattooed fingers draw circles into the skin of your hands.

Your face feels hot from this and you have absolutely no words at the moment from how in awe you are. So instead you opt for an action you know he will get. You get on your tippy toes and move your hands away from his to wrap your arms around his neck – your lips meeting in a sweet kiss that lasts quite a few seconds. The warmth of his lips make you feel dizzy as his arms come to wrap around you.

He pulls back and with a smirk says, “I have been dreaming of kissing you for so long.”

“I have been dreaming of you for so long – I meant dating you – I meant, oh god,” You say in rambles from how flustered your mind seems to be.

Law only lets out a laugh from how adorable your reaction is before his lips meet yours again in a sweet kiss. Only this time neither of you wants to let go of the other. You hum into the kiss as his hands begin to roam over your body, squishing parts of you that haven’t been touched in so long. You suddenly feel the cool metal of the ship against your back as Law has you pinned against the wall. One of his hands comes up to hold your cheek as the other stops and holds your butt tightly to bring your lower parts closer together.

Upon feeling something hard poking you – not realizing how excited Law is, you let out a gasp to which Law doesn’t hesitate to push his tongue into your mouth. It was getting hot and heavy fast – until Law quickly stops everything to rest his forehead against yours.

“While the submarine is mainly empty, why don’t we go warm up some blankets instead? Then I promise I will find a suitable gift for you this holiday.”

The thought of a warm blanket being on top of you both while having the submarine to yourself for the most part. Hell, you can’t pass this up. You can enjoy the cold island with Law later. You are almost embarrassed by how quickly you agree but even more by what you really think. “Law, your confession is my gift.”

You have never seen him smile so softly before. Your words making him happy as he leads you to his own private quarters.
