Okay as a preface I write on my mobile phone so there’s only a few apps that I can use when I don’t have service

So I do write on Wattpad… I don’t read or post on it but I write in it

But basically it uses my school email so I keep messages abt Wattpad to my school email which is… not my favourite

And I can’t switch it bc my old acc uses my personal email and I didn’t want to delete that acc because it has a lot of uh memories

So I decided to go through it and omfg

Who told grade six me I could write? It’s genuinely the most embarrassing thing ever.

ok i think i finally figured out what hit me about jonathan’s declaration that he’d become a vampire for mina

so we remember the last entry from castle dracula, where jonathan says he’d rather die a man than be killed by the vampire women:

and what i love about that is the very end, where he specifically says goodbye to Mina, because should he die he wants his last words to be about his love for her.

and then we have this journal entry from months later:

same subjects - death, love, and mina. but a completely different show of devotion. where before he was concerned with staying in god’s good graces, despite the fact that he may end up dying and abandoning his love, now nothing matters more than mina. he’s willing to seek out undeath, to damn his own soul to make sure that mina won’t suffer alone. and there’s absolutely nothing more romantic than that.
