Alpha-17 and Obi-Wan being friends (derogatory) on 17's part and friends (threatening) on Obi-Wan's part is such an underrated dynamic

They could be so funny and terrifying, like Obi-Wan went through a soul shredding experience with Alpha-17 as his only company. They're friends because what else are you gonna be after you witness each other at absolute rock bottom from torture.

It's like 'dog put in cage of cheetah who's threatening to go crazy', except the dog is a grizzly bear and also threatening to go crazy.

Emotional support trooper except the trooper in question has never done any sort of supporting in his life and is actively an emotional distress trooper to a great number of the CC batch.

I want them texting everyday, I want Obi-Wan mailing handmade BFF bracelets to Alpha and Alpha sending pics back of him flipping off the camera but still wearing them, I want Alpha using Obi-Wan to keep track of and occasionally terrorize his cadets, I want 17 ending problems in the GAR (like Krell) before they begin because Obi-Wan has him shipped out on a personal transport at the first opportunity, decked out with slug-throwers Obi-Wan got him for his decant-day.

Natborn officers think this is all just an odd indulgence of General Kenobi, the Vode, however, correctly identify it as a goddamn threat and their danger assessment of Obi-Wan ticks up significantly.

When Alpha arrives on Kamino, Shaak Ti presses a shiny new comm into his hand. It has the Jedi Order symbol painted onto it alongside a smiley face sticker, and it pings immediately with a new message: Hello! I hope you're settling in well!

Alpha stares at the message, stares at the singular contact named 'OWK' and then stares Shaak Ti in the eye as he pitches the comm straight into the ocean. Shaak Ti's serene smile only grows larger as she calmly reaches into her robes and pulls out an identical comm, only this one has a frowny face sticker, and presses it into his hand. It lights up: I'm afraid we've bonded, Alpha :). Alpha shuts it off and pockets it with resignation.

Cody arrives on Alpha-17's personal recommendation.

A-17: He's the most difficult little bastard I have. You're perfect for each other. OWK: Thank you, he's very handsome :3 A-17: No. Stop.

The first thing he asks once he gets comfortable is who his general is texting so much that has him swinging his legs and twirling his hair. Cody assumes it's Anakin, given they seem joint at the hip anyway, but little does he know Obi-Wan's ability to consistently have the Weirdest Relationships Ever.

"Oh, it's Alpha-17, I understand you're familiar with each other?" Hmm. OK. Cody.exe is experiencing a processing error, please hold. He exits the room instead of answering. The next day he peeks over the General's shoulder when he's texting and sees walls of rambling messages from Obi-Wan. Alpha-17 replies every hour with a single text: Lose this number. Obi-Wan giggles. "He's so funny." he says.

When Obi-Wan meets the rest of the CC batch, Cody makes sure to stand perfectly angled so that he can record the reactions when his general cuts off their introductions with "Oh, no need, Alpha-17's told me all about you." It's always immediate FEAR.JPG followed by a slow spiral of What The Fuck.

What do you mean by that General. What does that mean Cody. What do you mean they text. No. Cody. What the fuck is happening, Cody. Alpha-17 doesn't have friends he has enemies and enemies he tolerates enough not to shoot on sight.

OWK: Wolffe reached for his vambrace? when I mentioned you A-17: That's where he keeps his spare knife. OWK: Hm that does explain the way he eyed me up, ambitious. A-17: Clearly not enough, he should have followed through. I taught them better.

Danny had been missing for 3 years now. He was scared after the accident at 7 years old left him with freaky ghost powers. His parents didn’t like ghosts so he had to run, and run he did. His powers made him bad, ghosts were bad so if he used them he was bad. He winds up under the care of the League of assassins and was trained the last 2 years as a bodyguard to the demon heads heir. Then Ras dies and he and Damian are sent to live with Bruce Wayne, who takes in Danny as he had no where else. A couple more years go by and Danny starts to get a bit curious about his powers. He’s a bit older now and thinks if the pits weren’t bad then maybe ghosts aren’t as bad as his parents thought.

Maybe he should bring this up to Bruce? But maybe he hates ghosts like his parents did, so he starts with Damian.

Ooooooh what’s up with mob and Ritsu here? Things seem tense between them

Glad you asked! My idea is that because Mob hadn’t met Reigen, he never learned that his powers are apart of him and shouldn’t be thought of as a separate piece of him. So when the accident happened when Ritsu and him were kids, he began to hate himself and his powers immensely. Like in canon, Ritsu tried to look past it until he couldn’t anymore. He began to resent Mob, but still acted like a brother until they got older.

He also became a cop in the case that, one day, if Mob were to go awol because of his powers, he’d be able to take action in some way!

Hopefully that makes sense!

If the Kree and Nova formed a temporary alliance to overthrow the Protheans, what (aside from the script) is preventing them from doing the same to destroy the Black Order?

-Teaming up to face the Protheans was an alliance born of desperate necessity, following millenia of slavery in all but name under their thumb; facing Thanos is definitely a daunting prospect, but despite losing colonies on the fringes of their territory, neither empire currently considers the Black Order an existential threat.

-Taking on Thanos would incur a heavy cost in terms of resources and manpower, no matter what; there is a very justified worry, given their history, that if one side should lose more than the other, the other would capitalize on their newfound weakness, shattering the alliance.

-Speaking of history, there's a lot of bad blood between the empires. The ancient Kree performed horrific genetic experiments and ritual mass murders on Nova populations, while the ancient Nova often retaliated disproportionately, abusing the Nova Force and wiping out whole colonies, regardless of civilian casualties. Though the conflict between the two has been mostly "civil" in the past few centuries (as in, they follow rules of engagement at least), no one has forgotten that past, let alone forgiven it.

-Focusing on tackling the Thanos Problem(TM) would undoubtedly hamper each empire's abilities to patrol and protect their borders from pirates, slavers, and any illegitimate groups in the Terminus Systems that would be interested in chipping away at the might of the two main powers in the galaxy. This is an especially pressing issue for the Kree, actively at war with Homeworld as they are.

-As horrible as it sounds, the existence of the Black Order has proven...convenient for each empire; it galvanizes the population against a common foe, it keeps the Terminus Systems from growing too powerful, it keeps expansionist proponents in check, and it provides the veneer of tentative alliance between the two Empires, without actually taking any big, scary diplomatic steps. Not to say that they'd sit on their hands if Thanos took the fight to them, but the status quo is there for a reason.

WHAT IF WHAT WE SAW IN THE MOVIE WAS A NEW MEMORY SHE PUT ON HIM AND MICHEL SO THAT THEY ARE NOT TRAUMATIZED BY SEEING THE GIBBOUS BE RIPPED APART BY THE VERY GOD WHO HAD TRIED TO EAT THEM CENTURIES AGO SO TO PRESERVE THEIR INNOCENCE SHE AND THE CAPTAIN AGREED FOR A "and they lived happily ever after, the end" MOMENT PUTTING IN IT THE REASON OF BOIS DORMANTE'S DEPARTURE TOO SO THAT AS OOC AS IT IS IS POSITIVE AND WHAT WE SAW IN THE MOVIE IS JUST THE KIDS' PERSPECTIVE ? Because when the end starts sucking, see how DRASTIC AND SUDDEN it is, hence why it shocked me initially, see how the Captain is in danger of being killed and the Gibbous charges at him with an evil grin ready to do it, Pandora rushes to protect him, and SUDDENLY gives the incel who ruined her life all the time a "this is not good !" speech gently-firmly scolding him and he is sad and agrees. Come to think of it it feels like Pucci the dog going "I must go, my people need me", something created at the last moment and feeling artificial for that. Little Vampire remembers this and is weirded out because it is weird to have done and said for all parties especially for Bois Dormante's "choice", but that's what he remembers so it must have happened and he won't remember a horrific vision of an eldritch deity double-killing someone by eating them

And she did that to Michel too because she grew attached. Possibly the 3 other monsters as well, since they are essentially kiddies at heart especially Marguerite, since they didnt remember the Gibbous before I guess she had erased their memories in the prologue as well

It is NOT very ethical but she did it once, she can do it more if it means "protecting the children's innocence", Pandora isn't perfect either and even less her pirate husband

Plot twist : one day Bois Dormante coincidently comes visit out of nowhere because she does miss the Captain as her friend and old crush for his surprise and Pandora's rage ("I THOUGHT WE WOULD NEVER SEE HER AGAIN?!"), she did move on from him and presents them her new boyfriend who coincidently looks EXACTLY like the Gibbous when he was a human so PERFECT now it can be a perfect alibi to the kids and they ask her to pretend that she only remembered them recently and asks him to pass as the Gibbous which weirds him out not even knowing who he is and that poor human finds himself having to catfish children (but not weirded out as much as the Captain and Pandora themselves because they feel like seeing the asshole again and it just knots their stomachs whenever they see him at first)

Manuel Lago was a character introduced in Brian Buccellato and Francis Manapul’s run for the New 52 Flash series in 2011. he’s there for a CRIMINALLY measly 5 issue arc called Mob Rule.

He’s repeatedly called Barry’s oldest friend — there’s all these flashbacks (THAT ARE CUTE AS HECK) that show Manuel and Barry’s history together, from first meeting in college right up until Barry’s gets struck by lightning. He goes MIA after that and the arc starts off with Manuel barging back in Barry’s life after all this time.

He’s got a pretty wild backstory for a character who’s literally only there for 5 issues — his dad was killed in a plane hijacking so his natural course of action was to….join the CIA to track down the hijackers (a group called Basilisk). With the CIA he’s some sort of a deep state operative and subject to some experiments that give him a regenerating ability like a healing factor.

(That James Bond meets Batman line is the funniest thing in the world to me. No wonder Barry gets along fine with Bruce.)

he ends up getting captured by Basilisk after going rogue and they torture him for WEEKS by cutting off his hands and fingers. But those cut off pieces actually fully regenerate into straight up clones of Manuel and they start calling themselves Mob Rule.

I just really like his character bc I love the potential of what kind of friendship they must have had. They’re a bit of an odd couple but they consider each other ‘family’ and Barry’s actually knows and IS CLOSE WITH Manuel’s mom. The person Manuel calls when he’s got no one to turn to in a dangerous mission is Barry. When he thinks Barry’s dead, Manuel goes into a rage. So there’s this really close bond between that doesn’t get much spotlight besides those brief flashbacks that makes me so curious.

Honestly Manuel reminds me so much of that post that’s like men say they’re fighting their demons and then the demons are just bisexuality.

The Trapinch line is very cool, pretty smart, and clever, too. The way they control the desert with their vibrations are just really impressive and powerful.

I also need to highlight Seismatoad. They are incredibly powerful and versatile. I couldn't begin to describe all of their properties, but lucky for you, I did make a video about them explaining what makes them so impressive. Just a warning, you don't wanna make one too mad. It could really bring a whole house down.
