Well my kind friend, it works like this.

You ask a question, I provide an answer. I've been doing divination for a couple years now. Pendulum and dowsing rods are my specialty, and I'm no stranger to tarot. Now, I am not as seasoned as other people, I do admit. But so far I've had quite good reviews on the readings I've done, and I'm not charging any professional prices, either.

Tarot is a 3 card pull. Tarot provides much broader answers. Great for vague questions or ones that require a lengthy answer. Tarot is 5$

Dowsing rods and Pendulums are much more straight-forward for yes/no/maybe questions. If you have a complex question, I can ask multiple questions to build a sufficient answer for your question. It's 2$ per initial question, 1$ for each subsequent related question for these.

Aunuran Form Mewtwos

Info on each variant can be found below the 'Keep reading'

Central Aunuran Form: These Mewtwos would mostly dwell in desert and bushland environments, their colour scheme/pattern is based on the Tasmanian Tiger. 'CAF' Mewtwos' pupils' are generally narrower than other Mewtwos given the extreme light and heat they generally endure. They carry a spork as a way to heighten their psychic abilities and find water sources like a dowsing rod. They can be often seen finding water sources for other desert dwelling pokemon. Lastly, they survive like hunters, and will hunt small pokemon for food, mostly water and bug types.

Coastal Aunuran Form: Coastal Forms could be mistakenly referred to as City-dwelling Forms, as that's where they mostly choose to live out their lives. Their coat pigment and pattern are boxy and darker hued to blend into metropolitan environments. They're also excellent at evading the Aunuran city's Mewtwo-defence-systems, having learnt how to turn invisible and block their aura from specialised Pokemon. They scavenge, steal, and loot from the human cities to survive, often finding it rather entertaining to prank the local humans in packs.

Domestic Aunuran Form: Okita is the only one who is in this category, as she was raised with her human parents in a domestic setting. She will have grown shorter over her lifetime than the other Mewtwos, but what she doesn't make up for in size, she makes up for in extra critical and punctual thought processes. Much like her birth mother Unova (Grannewt).

For additional context: Aunura is my fan-made region based off Australia. There are 76 surviving Mewtwos that were created by Team Helix Rocket around the 2030's. They would have all started out looking like Okita (Domestic Aunuran Form), but when they all eventually refused to obey Giovanni one-by-one, they scattered themselves around the region, slowly changing their coat pigment and eye composition over time, to match their respective environments.

A large pile of nuisance puyos fell on Ringo's next chain, causing the match to end. However, before She could even congratulate Maguro, the pair found themselves into quite the dilemma.

Bursting out of the sky? That's what Amitie did all of the time... But somehow, she and Maguro found themselves doing exactly that...

"What a peaceful day... Almost too peaceful... Actually, I don't think it's ever been this quiet before. It's actually kind of scary..."

A certain, brown haired nerd sat on a bench, studying an old book on an even older Legend. Klug was so engrossed in his book, that he almost didn't notice the purple haired toddler running at him...

Except it wasn't a purple haired toddler. It was Feli and her tiny body. She only reached up to Klug's neck. What made things weird, however, was the fact that he was scared of her.

"Hiyah!" Feli yelled, pointing her dowsing rods at Klug.

"Meep!"

Klug immediately jumped back, hugging the book he was reading. His body was trembling all over at the sight of this miniature gremlin of a girl.

"What do you w-want?!"

Feli scowled, putting her hands on her hips.

"That purple haired boy and his red haired girlfriend are here. They were lost so I asked the stars for help, and they told me to tell you to go and help them because APPARENTLY you're of use to them. Goodbye, four eyes. I hope fate allows me to never see you again.

Feli quickly scampered away, off to find Lemres no doubt. After all, he was visiting Primp right now.

Purple haired boy? Red haired girlfriend? Surely she didn't mean... Sasaki and Ando? So they were dating, huh...

Klug was never one to meddle in relationship business, but he couldn't help but feel a bit disheartened that his crush had found somebody... Especially when that somebody was smart, beautiful and Maguro's childhood friend.

Klug quickly brushed off these thoughts, realising it wouldn't get him anywhere, and so, with a sinking feeling in his chest, he hurried off to find Maguro and Ringo.

[With Maguro and Ringo]

"Hey, so what was that girl's deal? She seemed weird and creepy..." Ringo sighed.

"Heck if I know... ★"

Maguro and Ringo had been walking around for what felt like hours now... Even though it was only around ten minutes. They had ended up in an unfamiliar part of Primp's markets, passing by a few strange individuals in the process.

"Ugh... Why are people in Primp so strange?!"

Ringo seemed annoyed now. She was just trying to have a Puyo Puyo battle with Maguro, and somehow she ended up in the one part of Primp that she didn't recognize. They had both challenged a few of the people they vaguely met at some point, but to no avail.

"You know, Ringo... What's even stranger is the fact they just assume we're dating. What if I'm into a boy or something? ★" Maguro stated, putting his right hand in his pocket while the left one kept playing with the kendama.

"So you are into a guy, huh?"

"W-Wait! No I just m-meant... You know what, fine, you win... ★"

Maguro's face was a bright red now. Ringo was right, he was into a guy. A guy he knew so much yet so little about. Maguro didn't even realize he was going off on one of his excited rants before it was too late...

"Well... He's a really cute nerd and... ★"

[With Klug]

He had been searching for ages now, even running into a couple of strange individuals who pointed him in the right direction.

"Just my luck... I ran into that annoying Witch lady and that creeper with the sword... Oh well at least I have some lea—"

Klug quickly cut himself off as soon as he saw Maguro and Ringo walking down the streets, laughing and chatting, like a couple would... It just served as a reminder that he would never be good enough for Maguro.

He quickly dashed up to the pair, putting on a smile to seem friendly.

"I heard you love birds needed assistance?"

The pair quickly turned around out of confusion and curiosity.

"Love birds?" Ringo asked.

Ringo was definitely confused. Why did everyone assume that she and Maguro were dating? It was kind of getting on her nerves.

"Not you too, Klug ★" Maguro sighed, clearly disappointed.

It was Klug's turn to be confused now... What was that supposed to mean?

"What do you mean, Sasaki?"

"I mean that you've got it all wrong! Ringo and I are just friends! ★"

Klug's face flushed red out of embarrassment.

"So you're telling me that you and Ando aren't dating...?"

"Of course not... In fact, I love you, Klug... ★"

This time, both of their faces flushed red as Ringo chuckled.

"Klug, I would just like to inform you that, if you hadn't gotten here so soon, I might've had to endure an hour's long rant about why Maguro thinks you're hot, so thanks...!" Ringo smirked, clearly trying to fluster the pair.

"R-Really? You love m-me that much?... I... U-Uhm... I love you too..."

Maguro smiled softly, planting a kiss on the cheek of the slightly smaller male.

"I love you to the edge of space-time and back... ★"

WIP INTRO-CAST OUT

Title: CAST OUT

Genre: YA fantasy

Setting: the wastelands beyond the Plenary Cities

Tropes: deaf MC, chaste teenage romance, sapphic, plague, hallucinogens, prophets, human dowsing rods, secrets and lies, a beloved animal dies (I'M SORRY!), religious fanatics, pilgrims, almost everyone is disabled or different, plot-relevant allergies, one trans side character, disability is not cured

Story:

On her sixteenth birthday, the Plenary Cities cast Zisha out for the crime of being born deaf. Also exiled is Thesil, a depressed and bitter young Imperfecta. Zisha wants nothing to do with her negativity— until she sees Thesil's face in a vision.

Everyone has visions when they consume Oracle Ore. But they're not supposed to mean anything. Zisha persuades Thesil to stay with her. As long as she's helping someone else, she can't give up. She can't let the despair get her. But the visions get worse. They show her pyres burning outside the cities.

Before Zisha can figure out her visions, or confess her growing feelings for Thesil, a man dies of the plague. The same plague that the Plenary Cities blamed the Imperfectas for, decades ago, and exiled thousands to stop. This time, it's unstoppable, and no one can blame the Imperfectas because it strikes at the heart of the cities, where everyone is perfect.

Nothing will stop it, unless Zisha finds an answer through her visions. But the only way to control them is through use of oracle ore. And every hit of that destructive drug would take her a step closer to losing her personality — and no longer caring whether Thesil lives or dies.

The Characters:

Zisha- a young painter born to hearing parents and taught to hide her disability as best she could. But she couldn't fool the Justry.

Thesil- a young woman who had everything in the world, until an allergic reaction to Oracle Ore took it all away.

Grandmother- Zisha's grandma, who is deaf and was exiled decades ago. The way she was shaped by the plague and the hatred of Perfectas has left little room to love Zisha.

Divination & The Ethics of Knowing🦋

What is Divination?

Divination is the practice of seeking knowledge or insight into a situation or on the future (source: google). Divination comes in many forms and can include many different types of tools (or no tools at all). The form of divination that you choose can be more accessible (you can find tarot desk in the most unusual places now) or it can be linked to a specific tradition. When researching what forms of divination you want to learn it is important to look into the origins and historical practices surrounding that form of divination. For example, although runes can be learned by anyone, they will have particular significance to someone who worships or works with the norse gods.

Why Learn a Form of Divination Anyway?

Divination is most commonly used to interpret and receive messages from deities or spirits. For example, you may use divination if you want to ask for a spirit's permission to do something. Divination is also commonly used to receive advice or insight into situations that are causing anxiety or stress. Whatever your reason for learning a form of divination is, it is fairly common to know at least one. The most popular in recent years has been cartomancy (specifically using either tarot or oracle cards).

Some other types include astrology, runes, bone throwing, dowsing (using a pendulum or rods), palmistry, scrying (fire, smoke, etc.), ceromancy, cloud divination and many more.

Ethical Implications When Divining for Others:

Divination, like everything, is something that should be taken with a grain of salt. Readings are not set in stone and the advice being given should be taken as nothing more than a suggestion. At the end of the day, the only thing that can make an impact in your life is you and although some readings may bring difficult news (trust me I've been there), how we react to them and what we do moving forward is more important than anything else.

When giving readings for others here are some things I like to keep in mind (this will be from a tarot reader's perspective):

How I understand a reading is only one interpretation, another reader may read the same cards completely differently

Readings should never instil fear in the recipient

My opinion and relationship with certain cards may not reflect their meaning for someone else- it is important to be neutral when reading for others and not let our own biases influence the interpretation

I never read for others without their explicit permission- this may be more of a personal preference rather than an ethical guideline but you never know what kind of wards people have in place so I just avoid doing it!

I only give readings on the topic that is requested- If someone wants a reading regarding a situation, I stay focused on their request. If the reading is about a job opportunity and the cards that are pulled are cards I associate with love, I will try to interpret them through the confines of the question rather than telling the recipient what I think about their love life.

A lot of this will likely be common sense to people and that's a good thing. Being able to give readings to other or having other request readings from you is both an honour and a good way to practice. If you decide to charge for your services then you may want to develop your own ethical guidelines. In my personal divination practice, I am in the process of developing a list of questions/topics that I refuse to divine on. The more experience you get, reading for yourself and for others, the clearer your personal ethical guidelines will become.

Hello friends!

We are back, once again, with our weekly read! This week, we asked the book club to nominate some fics that had less than 200 kudos. We were hunting for gems, hidden under the more popular offerings, and looking to show our love to a fic that maybe didn't get it's due when it was published.

Thrillingly, we chose I Want Ours to be an Endless Song by sunlight_sonata.

This fic has a little bit of everything! 1920s spiritualism, well-crafted banter, a super sweet ending, a little hurt/comfort and a solidly spooky scene in the middle that'll definitely give you the chills!

Summary:

“I promise.” Shane frowns for a moment. Maybe he sees the look on Ryan’s face, because something in his own expression clears. “In fact, let’s make an oath. I swear to never abandon you, Bergara. You’ve got me hooked, goddamn. I don’t know how you’ve done it.”

For one, fleeting moment, Ryan wants to kiss Shane right there in the front yard of this random suburban home. He wants it so much that it terrifies him, and the thought of wanting something so unattainable is such a familiar feeling it’s like it’s never left him. Like his mind is a haunted house where the spirits of “what if” and “maybe” roam the halls and wake him up at night.

“I swear too, big guy,” he manages. “I… yeah. I’m gonna stick around for a while.”

Or, When Ryan puts an ad in the newspaper for a room to rent, he doesn't mention the ghosts. What he ends up with is more than he could ever have bargained for.

Book Club Thoughts

i really enjoyed this one, it was so cute and funny

I love that even though it’s a historical AU, it has a sweet soft happy ending where Ryan’s parents are happy for him and the direction his life has taken

I loved when they were in Shane's classroom and Ryan could just sense the Shane-ness of it, even if Shane hadn't told him it was his.

i truly wish this fic had been like 5x longer lmao but i loved the glimpses we got at the beginning of their relationship and the windows where we saw Ryan beginning to fall in love and how hard he continued to do so

I also think there's this fantastic thing where I think Ryan is very aware during the fic, even before the demon says anything, that Shane likely reciprocates, but he gets in his own fucking way!!!

i really liked the part about how ryan wanted to love the world but he also really wanted the world to love him back. that struck me as very correct.

i enjoyed the little ghost hunt and ryan's little old-timey ghost hunting apparatuses. v fun dowsing rods experience

This was such a nice fic. Sweet and real, just enough angst. Also the creepy bits were wonderful.

hi! do you have any book recommendations for working with spirits? i was looking at judika illes' 'an encyclopedia of spirits' but i saw your review of one of her other books and decided i had better not....

Hello there! Unfortunately I haven't found any books that really confirmed my own thoughts and methods for working with various spirits. If any of my followers do though feel free to throw your two cents in! A lot of people recommend Jason Miller, I cannot due to his severe appropriation and dismissal of anyone who brings it up.

--THIS IS ALL MY OWN UPG PLEASE BE AWARE--

My personal feelings on spirit work is: Vet, vet, vet! If a spirit says through divination they are ___ do research and ask them questions to clarify...prove...or disprove that claim. I've done the same practice with my ancestor guides, animal spirits, and various traveling spirits that came through on the creek.

What type of questions to ask: Just break down what talking to a person would be like. What's your name? Where are you from? What type are you? What do you want to talk about? What is your intentions? Is this okay? Would you prefer a different type of communication? Etc, etc. And remember to write down the answers for further verification and study later.

I've found some spirits prefer certain decks, dice, mirrors, etc...different means of divination for clearer responses. For example: R one of my ancestors prefers to use dowsing rods and dreams for communication, but will answer cards of any type as well. While F another ancestor guide gets upset if any method besides cartomancy and bone reading is used for her.

Trial and error is okay! Also remember to please be guarded, treat a spirit you don't know as a complete real life stranger.

ALSO: When attempting to contact spirits please for the love of the gods remember to rule out any mundane reasons for any responses you get. Both with yourself, and your tool of choice. Is a candle's flame a steady and detailed method of communication? No.

Through truthfully my experience when working with entities/spirits was actually very different as i found my first spirit companion through a shop that was willing to work with a beginner.

But my suggestion is to read, read, READ! Literally find as many sources you can on divination, energy work, and then spirit work. Contact should be last.

I find that many beginners tend to dive face first into spirit work and usually sometimes i find that they dont quite understand what it means when working with entites. And theres alot of trial and error. Not to mention the strange process of listening to ones "intution" vs "ego (aka i was chosen)" . Because working with an entity is basically like trying to get to know another person, and there are many different types. Sooooo....for a base guideline would be:

1. Learn to humble yourself and establish critical thinking.

2. Question everything....Seriously dont just take anything at face value.

3. Learn energy work. Start with the basics and work your way up. Youll have a much easier time with entities if you do.

4. Get comfortable with divining. Research and test out different ways of divining. The most common for beginners is tarot, dice, pendulums and dowsing rods i believe. I personally started with a pendulum and over time learned to use my clairvoyance.

5. Research different types of spirits. Because there is a plethera. Though i find the more easier ones to work with are angels and elementals.

6. Learn to cleanse , ward, and banish because you will end up running into a few annoying entities.

7. Dont try to establish contact until you feel confident about doing so. Leaving room for vagueness and uncertainty could leave room for alot of communication error. And if you are try writing a list of questions to ask as a basic interview.

I'll answer this one, darling. For the rating, I'll say 2/10. there's a grain of truth in this, but the Apothecary Lab is a bit more broad in its goals than that.

We're effectively casting a wide net to find any kind of compounds, substances, antivenoms, antidotes, and other such things in or produced by Pokemon in order to do preliminary tests so that other labs can refine our research.

Think of the Hoenn Apothecary Lab like someone with a dowsing rod trying to find rare minerals. If we find something, we let other people know so they can do the real digging.
