i agree with and love and understand trans man saiki but at the same time i hold a separate reality in my mind where he doesnt Care At All. just happened to live as a guy and was like "whatever" about it (its also? simply easier. hashtag society). and he doesnt think about it all that much unless he has to (ladies only sweets discounts) (time/universe hopping to save the world)... i cant recall a time he has blatantly expressed a particular preference <- but im aware its saiki we're talking about

Looking at the bright side, Zuko now had a three-year-old younger brother to look after. Looking at the dark side, Zuko now had a three-year-old kid he needed to parent while also keeping him a secret from his father because—may Agni help him—the Fire Lord would have to go through Zuko first if he dared to even look at Lu Ten II.

(AKA an AU in which Zuko is a good big brother and doesn't want another kid to grow up like he did.)

He's just a (previously) regular guy who has to live in this weird urban portal fantasy world so he cares about stuff like tax brackets and zoning laws and fair contract-writing and alternative uses of everyone's crazy supernatural powers. I can't count the number of times I started thinking "wait, couldn't you-" only to have it answered the next sentence. When his internal monologue mentioned dungeon resets being used for public waste disposal i practically cheered

They get married the way Fairies do!! By becoming a bonded pair!!

Bonded Fairies are magically connected! Magic and food is shared between them and they can feel the distance between each other when apart! Bonded Fairies share half their soul with the other.

Bonding can be used for a multitude of reasons beyond romantics, such as platonic or medical. So long as two (or more!) fairies trust and love each other in a mutual form, it can be invoked. The longer the bond lasts, the more connected the fairies become!

the canon examples of demigods “fading” after overexerting their powers is really interesting to me, because the ones we have are Nico, Leo, and Hazel. Nico starts becoming shadows, Leo literally becomes made of fire, and in Tyrant’s Tomb Hazel is described as her “eyes turning the color of clay” and otherwise being implied to be becoming earth.

the obvious extensions of this would be like Jason fading into wind, Will fading into light, and... Well Percy can’t really fade into water so my hc is he just gets really dehydrated and that’s part of why he kept falling asleep so much with the Curse of Achilles.
