had a fuckin dream where I was watching a real ass homestuck movie and I had to physically leave thee room multiple times because I hated watching it and I do not like to watch things that are bad. buncha shit happened I guess, Eridan melted into a pile of slop and had an internal temperature of either 400 or 4000 degrees I don’t remember. the movie was mostly sorta live action but every time nepeta was on screen (not that she was on screen often) she was a traditionally animated cartoon character and she could fly around with her tail. and also the first thing she did was fight Jake English in an american Football field and I don’t know how a dream could be eye straining but the entire sequence was eye straining. the plot revolved around these lord of the ring ass Dwarves and Elves for some reason. I think there was some random bronze blood troll with the exact same horns as Eridan who tripped on a small hole in the ground which I guess was supposed to be funny or something but I dunno it was just kinda a thing that happened. John egbert was there. there was this absolutely massive inconsistent character design fucker named King Hadraxyn or some shit and the only thing that was consistent about him is that he was fucking MASSIVE across all axis like basically wide as he was tall and he was fuckiing tall I think Sollux apathetically mourned the death of eridan and I have no other way to put it other than that. there were absolutely no carapacians to speak of like at all. all and all dumb stupid dream 2.5/10 needed more cowbell.

I had a dream and I have no idea what was happening or who was there, but whoever it was, they put a bunch of pride flags on a table in front of me and started teaching me about “these new representative flags” and this person had no idea I was lgbt, and I just remember really vividly that one of the flags was the AroAce flag, and I just pointed slowly at it, then at myself, as if I was some caveman incapable of speech. And the person just got the most bewildered look on their face and said, ‘that’s you?’ And I shakily nodded then started full on ugly crying. Then the dream ended. I didn’t even wake up, I was still asleep, the dream just ended.

I had a dumb dream and I really feel like I need to tell someone so it's going on the tumblr, lmao.

So I don't recall what got me to this point, but from where the vivid memory starts is when someone recommends I watch a movie so I look it up on IMDb. The Movie title is Better.

Our scene opens past the muted skyline of the City of Baltimore and into a somber courtroom. A large man is standing in the defense; he’s built like a wall and his head is shiny. He is crying.

On a rich mahogany table in the center of the courtroom, bright coloured boxes of fruit snacks are being stacked.

"They say that Betty Crocker purposely made these fruit snacks taste better than the ones they did in collaboration with [name of cartoon]," says the defense attorney representing the man built like a wall. The attorney has bright red, curly hair, and wears a suit of primary colors below a painted face with a clown nose. 

"Please," the crying man says. "My wife needs an answer. She doesn't have much time."

The attorney turns to his defendant with a sympathetic look, eyebrows scrunch in determination.

 "I will find an answer to this, Mr [name]. I may have pulled the pranks and smashed pies into the faces of people in the past, but that was my duty as a clown. This is why I am the right person for this case." 

The judge presiding the case looks down from his chair, his eyes squinting in thought. “We need to find Destiny,” he says. “He can get to the bottom of this.”

Destiny, we find out, is a culinary scientist.

Pressing the call button on Jason’s contact was the last thing he needed. You knew he was busy on patrol and you knew he couldn’t be coming back for something as trivial as your hurt feelings.

But just a phone call wouldn’t hurt, right?

Last night I dreamed there was a huge fandom on tumblr around a children's animated series called "The Wall." The series was based on a Bertholt Brecht play where characters in an imaginary country spend their days building a massive, pointless wall in the middle of nowhere. It was brutal, unsafe, labor for little pay. Workers either lived in makeshift housing nearby, or slept on the wall itself.

Most of the play was the characters talking to each other about their reasons for working on the wall. Only one of them was poor and desperate enough to do it for the money, most of them were there for ideological, philosophical or personal reasons. The wall alternately became a metaphor for capitalism, patriotism, religion, personal trauma, etc, depending on who was talking.

It was adapted into an animated series that replaced all the characters with modern-day kids who were forced to work on the wall by a mysterious, supernatural force. The plot was more episodic, i.e., stories where the kids had to deal with roadblocks to construction, or a monster that was picking off builders, etc.

The cartoon wasn't especially violent, but it was shockingly intense and even cruel in its depiction of how much physical and psychological torture the kids building the wall were going through, and how sad and troubled their backstories were.

The fandom was intensely divided between people who were like "Aaaaaah, I just want these poor kids to get a break!! To be able to rest and relax and be happy!!" and ones who were like "I want them to keep working on this awful wall forever."

MAKING YOUR PHONE TO BE INTENTIONAL

MAKE A VISION BOARD WALLPAPER. Create one that aligns with your goals and dream self, so that every time you pick your phone up, you’re reminded of your goals and future vision. Also, great for manifesting! 

KNOW YOUR APP’S PURPOSE. For me, tumblr is a way I share advice and learn, YouTube I also learn from others, pinterest I get inspired, netflix is a way for me to unwind etc. If for any app, you cannot name a proper purpose/intent to use it daily or to help with your goals, delete it. 

DECIDE WHICH TYPES OF APPS YOU WANT. If you have a new phone, or you want to completely reset your phone, write or type, the apps, that you want and those you don’t. 

E.g I want to learn a language, practice mindfulness on the go, get some mental gratification that isn’t addicting, organise my life better and have a way to track my progress. I don’t want apps that support doom-scrolling, make me compare myself and are addictive. 

BE MINDFUL OF WHAT YOU SIGN UP TO. Newsletters, social media, subscribing to YouTubers and so on, just think about your goals and vision and if they align with them, every time you think about signing up/subscribing. 

HAVE NO PHONE TIME/ZONES. For me, my phone is not allowed to be used in bed. If I must use my phone, I have to get out of bed first. My phone is also not allowed during study time, so I put it in a separate room which makes it inconvenient. 

REGULARLY DO A DIGITAL DECLUTTER. Delete any old contacts that you don’t talk to, unsubscribe from newsletters and YouTube channels, organise your socials etc. Removes space and helps us to see our phones with more clarity. 

SET PURPOSEFUL WIDGETS. These can be anything, motivational quotes, your daily to-do list, reminders of your habits and so on. However, make sure you’re looking at them and they're not just taking up space.
