I would like to report that apparently ignoring the book for two months before coming back to edit is a good thing actually. Can't even begin to explain how much clunk, redundancy, and just plain poor writing I've managed to find and fix up. I've always said I'm proud of my work after finishing a draft, but this time? I think I'm finally ready to release it into the wild.

I mean after one more pass to make sure I didn't screw it all up with these changes.

I can't stand how my phone corrects Kim to Kinn and vice versa while writing. On top of that, their names look so similar when you are skimming 😭. For some reason, this happens with Chat and Chay too. Apologies to anyone who catches this in my fic. Feel free to point it out in a comment or message me if you catch it in any fic.

i have such a love for characters who descend into madness or villainy out of deep, deep empathy. characters who fundamentally cannot cope with the cruel realities they find themselves in and blow up about it in spectacular fashion. fallen angel type characters with tears of outrage in their eyes. characters who break before they bend, and break so badly they splatter blood all over their noble ideals. every variation on it gets me so good

I'm still having trouble editing older posts... I just want to make a tag for our late cat that's separate from our current one.

I'm going to have to reblog those posts and add the appropriate tags, while also changing the date on them so that they appear in the appropriate place in the archive. But that might mean they appear in a different order if you're viewing the tag on my blog, and also they'll appear on your dashboard as well, so this is a warning.
