I'm Grateful For...
I'm grateful for all that my heart feels. I'm grateful for the way it beats with pride and joy. I'm grateful in the way it floats with excitement and swells with tenderness. I'm grateful when it feels heavy and anchored. I'm grateful when it feels like it's being crushed alive. I'm grateful when it swoons with delight and wonder. I'm grateful when it beats slowly and gently. I'm grateful when it races to the rush and thrill of it all. I'm grateful when it aches and I feel every time it bleeds. I'm grateful when it rushes off the cliff and suspends itself for a moment in time. I'm grateful because my heart reminds me I'm alive.

The correlation between self-awareness and success (in any field)
Self-awareness is a cornerstone of personal development and success in any field. It is the profound understanding of oneself and the objective exploration of our inner landscape. Success, in this context, refers to the holistic fulfillment and achievement that transcends mere external accomplishments.
Tumblr media
Self-Awareness and Personal Growth: Self-awareness is the fertile soil from which personal growth blossoms. By delving into our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, we unlock the key to self-improvement. Recognizing our strengths allows us to leverage them wisely, while acknowledging our weaknesses empowers us to transform them into strengths. This journey of self-discovery and growth nurtures the seeds of success.
Self-Awareness and Interpersonal Skills: The foundation of success extends beyond individual growth; it rests upon the ability to connect authentically with others. By cultivating self-awareness, we cultivate empathy, compassion, and deep listening skills. Such qualities enable us to understand the needs and desires of those around us, fostering harmonious relationships that propel us forward on the path to success.
Self-Awareness and Decision Making: Conscious decision making is a crucial element in achieving success. Through self-awareness, we gain the clarity to discern our true desires and values. This clarity, coupled with the ability to recognize biases and patterns of thinking, empowers us to make wise, balanced decisions. By harnessing the power of self-awareness, we navigate the intricate web of choices, embracing those that align with our authentic selves and lead to long-term success.
The Correlation between Self-Awareness and Success: In essence, self-awareness is the guiding light that illuminates our path to success. While success is influenced by external factors, the depth of self-awareness determines the quality of that success. By cultivating self-awareness, we create a strong foundation for personal growth, nurturing fulfilling relationships, and making conscious decisions. As we integrate self-awareness into our lives, we unlock the boundless potential within us, realizing that true success lies not just in what we achieve, but in who we become.

Learning to Detach
Learning to detach emotionally or physically isn’t easy, but it is healthy. It’s something you may put off, but it’s something to be considered, if you’re emotionally struggling with a situation or a certain person in your life.
If and when you are able to detach, detaching can help you see things in the longer term, in a different way. If you’re feeling irked, or angry, detaching can help your anger dissipate, to give way to other feelings. It can help to manage your emotions and help you consider your life better.
Not everyone carries their emotions with them, but for those who do, emotions can be powerful, overwhelming and hurtful, particularly if there is a build-up of negative emotions, stemming from the past.
Emotions stem from experiences, childhood, and the environment, therefore it is important to bring distance between you, the issue and those you’re struggling with. It is equally important to deal with emotions, and not to bury them.
Detaching isn’t always a bad thing, but at the same time, it can feel like the ‘end of the world.’ Detaching gives time to regroup, to think about things, it gives us time to change certain aspects of ourselves. It is important to observe.
As time passes, detaching can feel less irritating. But like all other skills, detaching is a skill. When we detach, we learn to be less controlled and irked by people, by our emotions. If detaching feels big and scary, why not see it as ‘time out’ or ‘me’ time and we all need a bit of that.

Setting clear, healthy boundaries is one of the most important things you can do to nurture your wellbeing and start living authentically. There are a lot of people who will try to take advantage of you, or walk all over you if you allow them to. There is nothing selfish about putting yourself first.
