I'm grateful for all that my heart feels. I'm grateful for the way it beats with pride and joy. I'm grateful in the way it floats with excitement and swells with tenderness. I'm grateful when it feels heavy and anchored. I'm grateful when it feels like it's being crushed alive. I'm grateful when it swoons with delight and wonder. I'm grateful when it beats slowly and gently. I'm grateful when it races to the rush and thrill of it all. I'm grateful when it aches and I feel every time it bleeds. I'm grateful when it rushes off the cliff and suspends itself for a moment in time. I'm grateful because my heart reminds me I'm alive.

Handkerchief

I’ve been bringing my handkerchief everywhere with me lately. I was so depressed that I couldn’t stop crying every minute of the day. I am too fucked up with my whole life. And as I was crying alone, my mother noticed my handkerchief. I hurriedly wiped my tears away with it and placed it on my lap. She asked as to why I always have a handkerchief and assumed I had wounds on my feet because I normally cover my wounds with it. I smiled and told her I had a cough, but the truth is that I had wounds all over my body. Wounds that only I can feel and see.

The moon & cancer xxx . Regrann from @loreleismusings - Those Lunar-Cancerian vibes have had me crying at films and music, then channeling the emotions into some work on my book - another chapter started today called “Its a new dawn, it’s a new day” with the first section of that chapter called “...and I’m feeling good”. I’ll finish this book this year. I haven’t decided on the title yet and have considered a few but I expect that I’ll know the right title once the book is finished and I have a feel for it as an entire entity.
