have this idea for a story that's like one of the best I've come up with but everything I have written out for it so far is just sooo cute and it's not meant to be cute!! I'm not a Super Big horror person but that's what I want out of it! there are TWO developed characters in the entire thing because pov character cannot recognize other people! (it's kinda a steampunk vibe so they're like. blank faced machinery. idk I'll flesh it out more later) but it's like. he literally is not human enough to even comprehend others of his own species. he doesn't know who he is anymore, not really, because he's become so comfortable in the perspective the only other real, existing character has of him. and everything I have in my head right now has been OMG THEY CAN GO ON CUTE DATES literally I have a whole scene in a coffeeshop planned out. what am I doing man. even my working title is adorable and absolutely not meant for this
#I didn't mention the time travel in that rant did I#yeah part of the mcs lost identity is from time traveling#don't think too much about it let me#also I didn't mention that they're gay#they're lovers they're silly they're fated to die together#oh who said that#not me definitely not me#my working title is âsee you back at the beginningâ btw#because time travel. death. y'know#now will I ever finish writing this. no#especially not without any google docs storage

The Siren, or The Heart of the Matter
Chapter One: The Book, or Inez is a Fucking Goddess
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x OFC
Warnings: language, eventual smut (but not in this chapter), fluff. MINORS DNI. A/N: This story takes place roughly after the events of Captain America: Winter Soldier, but it is an AU where Bucky comes to live at the Tower to heal and work with the Avengers. It will probably not be at all canon-compliant because we're really just here to have a good time, so let's go with the flow! <3
Summary: Cleo's trip to the library does not go as planned.
Chapter Directory
âInez?â I lean over the librarianâs desk for the third time. âAny luck yet?â I hear a faint rustling coming from the back office where requests are processed and brought up from the bowels of the library, and I triple-cross my fingers inside the sleeves of my oversized cardigan, begging the universe for even a speck of luck.
âYES!â Inez shouts, uncharacteristically loud in her victory. She bustles out from the back room with a stack of ancient looking books. âSorry, sweetheart, I donât know whatâs taken them so long!â
Donning my reading gloves, I gingerly accept the stack with an enormous grin. âNo worries, theyâre here now and thatâs what matters.â
Inez and I glance up at the clock together, realizing the same thing at the same time. I frown, reluctant to hand the stack back over after waiting nearly all day for the assistants to find them in rare book storage. Before I can speak, though, Inez winks at me. âI think we can let you stay until we wrap things up back here, just this once.â
I huff a massive sigh of relief. âYouâre a fucking goddess, Nez. I donât know what Iâd do without you.â
Inez waves her hands. âDonât mention it. Just act like this never happened if Dean Wharton asks, yeah? And bring me some cookies.â
With promises of a lifetime supply of any flavor of cookie Inez could desire, I make my way to my favorite table in the back corner of the reading room. Itâs quiet back here, sound muffled by the shelves and shelves of books, and thereâs only room for a few smaller tables. Itâs almost always deserted, especially this near closing time.Â
I take a few moments setting up my workspace - opening my computer, getting the word doc pulled up, arranging my stack of books chronologically⊠and then I dive in. I know the extra time from Inez will buy me an hour - two at most - so I have to be efficient. Fortunately, I only have a few texts to review today. Unfortunately, itâs one of those days where I really have no clue what Iâm looking for.Â
Still, I crack on, making note of anything that seems remotely relevant to my research and jotting down a few referenced texts to check out next time I have the chance. With maybe half an hour left of my borrowed time, I sigh in relief - only one book left. Which is curious, now that I think of it, because Iâve reviewed every book on my list already. I run a gloved hand over the front cover, feeling a little tingle as my fingers trace illegible gold-leafed words.Â
Maybe Jack is working today, I think. He sometimes throws in an extra book or two if they seem related to my study. Meg likes to say itâs his nerdy way of professing his undying love for me, but Meg is often full of shit and just enjoys stirring the pot. Â
Still, Jack knows the handful of languages Iâm capable of translating on my own, and whatever language this is, Iâve never seen it before.Â
Couldnât hurt to peek inside, though, could it? I muse. Maybe Iâll be able to pick out something familiar. Better yet, I could find an illustration and use that to place it in history so I can at least google it later.
Holding my breath (though not really knowing why), I ease the cover open. The unfamiliar letters are still in that gold leafing, I note, but before I can make any other observations, my vision begins to swim. The letters dance on the page before me, rearranging in countless different combinations, and I briefly wonder if Iâm finally losing my mind from months of over-work. Iâm finally able to make out a single word, type it out hastily, before everything goes black.
******
âHey!â Inez hisses, shaking my shoulder. âYou gotta wake up - if I let you stay any longer the night crew will see you.â
I blink sleepily, lifting my head from the desk. Luckily, I seem to have nodded off on my computer instead of one of the rare books Inez has already gathered in her arms.Â
âShit, Nez, Iâm so sorry. This dissertation is kicking my ass. I must have fallen asleep.â
Inez is already walking away. âItâs two batches of cookies, now. And you have five minutes to get out!â She glances back over a shoulder and shoots me a wink, letting me know weâre okay.
I frantically gather my things, head still spinning a little. Clearly, I need more rest - Iâve never fallen asleep while researching before, and I have certainly had plenty of opportunities.Â
Iâll have to do a deep dive later, I think, mulling over the origins of the mystery book. Before nodding off, I hadnât managed to type out more than a single, haunting word: Atlantis.Â
Jack doesnât know enough to have done this on purpose, and neither Meg or Dr. Sapros are cruel enough to fuck with me. Well, Sapros might be, but heâs in Europe right now.
It had to be a wild coincidence, then, and even though Iâm reluctant to start down that path again - Therein lies madness, Sapros had told me once - I am of the mind that coincidences donât really exist. My dad liked to say that a coincidence is just the work of the universe pushing you where you need to go.Â
I step out into the chilly evening, pulling my cardigan tight around my chest to stave off the cold, and for the first time in a long while I let my mind wander wherever it pleases.

I'm Unpeeling Myself from Big Tech!
"Unpeeling" being any act you take that limits the amount of data a large tech corporation can gather from you, decreases your reliance on products of those corporations, or increases autonomy over your technology. I'm ripping the term from a line in this review by Joanna Nelius, where she writes, "People are looking for ways to peel their eyes from their smartphones like a layer of Elmerâs glue from their hand â to remove a part of themselves that really isnât a part of themselves." It's different than "unplugging" because the goal isn't to go off the grid, or even to limit one's technology usage. The goal, instead, is to extract from the invasive, addictive, destructive capitalist vision a set of tools that are useful to YOU.
It started when I realized I don't need a smartphone. I've deleted most social media from my phone, and the stuff I still have I prefer to check on my laptop. Not all "dumb phones" (I hate this term) offer the same features, though, so I began to think on a granular level about what I need from a cell phone. Eg, not all "dumb phones" provide MMS, but my family lives 3k miles away. I wanna still talk in the groupchat.
On the more complex end, I write on my phone. I've been using Google Docs to move seamlessly from scribbled writing drafts on my phone to formatted, finished works on my computer since I was fourteen.
Except, Google Docs is useless now. I've been unable to use it since they lowered the storage capacity. The only other cloud storage writing thingy with similar functionality is Office 365, which sucks.
Could a dumb phone with a basic "notes" feature work? Maybe, but I'd have to re-type everything to get it into a formatted document. Ideally, I'd have like, a mini-laptop just for writing - something I could fit in my pocket or in a small bag, so I could bring it to work without looking like a dick - and then, in addition, a basic phone for calls/texts/GPS stuff. But does a device this specific to my use case even exist?
Yes. Yes it does.
This is a GPD Micro PC. GPD mainly sells handheld gaming machines, though this product is designed for mobile IT professionals. It's probably too chonky for a pocket, but mark my words, I will figure out how to make it work for me.
It's stupid, but this gave me a rush. I've been struggling along, tied to the bloated corpses of three gmail accounts, for years, because I needed Google Docs for my writing workflow. But now I don't. I have the power to actually tailor my tech for my life.
By this point, I was like, alright, I don't need Google Docs anymore, I don't need a smartphone, what else? Do I need Windows? No, probably not, right? I can use Linux Mint on this new guy, especially since he'll mostly be a basic writing machine. LibreOffice is less intrusive and bloated than MS Word - a better experience for free than I'd have from the paid program. If I go all the way and install Linux, I also won't have to deal with ads in my start menu, or pre-installed spyware screenshotting my activities.
In fact, if I back everything up on an external drive, I can delete my old Google Drives and switch my main computer to Linux, too! So, I finally bit the bullet and invested in an external hard drive.
This is the problem with "product ecosystems," by the way. When one part of that ecosystem - Google Docs - fails, the whole thing collapses. All the bloat and corruption you dealt with just stops being worth it, and it's easier to make a radical change to a new system. I witnessed something similar happen with comedy tech youtuber Dankpods earlier this year, except with Apple's ecosystem: he was a lifetime Apple guy - seemingly not in a worship way, but he liked their products, and was certainly in Apple's ecosystem. Then a couple things went sour for him, and now he runs Linux.
I'm doing this for personal and ideological reasons. I'm personally sick of Clippy - I mean, Copilot - peeping in to tell me how to write what I'm writing on Office 365. I abhor the idea of paying Google for a service they offered for free until recently, knowing they can flip the script at any point. And while we're talking ideology, I'm a communist, and even though this is far from a shift everyone can make, I believe that taking any available steps towards shutting Big Tech out of our lives is a net good. If all you can do is delete Instagram, or use a screentime tracker, or switch to Firefox, do it. I'm finally in a position to make this more drastic change, and I'm excited.
Get in the weeds about how you use technology. Do you need everything at your fingertips, all the time? If not, what, specifically, do you need? Is there a way that you, now or in the future, can trim out the parts you dislike? And what can you change now?

After Smiley is defeated and the Sala-Sala Fruit acquired, is anyone in Team Prime interested in eating it? Or not really?
Oh Boy. This is gonna be a long one so buckle up.
No one even suspected the dark blue fruit showing up at all until Jack presented it to CorazĂłn. And oh boy did everyone in the OPverse flipped out. Especially those who fought Smiley before. Katakuri had to pull his copy of the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia to confirm it.
Katakuri: Other than the slightly darker coloration, this is no doubt an exact replica of the Sala-Sala Fruit, Model: Axolotl.
Miko: Cool...
Now there had to be a google search on axolotls as Zoans do gain the powers based on the model. For axolotls, it's their insane regeneration since they can regrow not only lost limbs but also vital organs such as the brain or heart. A regeneration that will carry onto whoever eats the fruit no matter the species.
Such an ability would be a massive game changer if eaten by a Cybertronian as not only can they repair any injury but donate parts to their fellow bots. I also gonna add something else to the fruit's capabilities. Axolotls eat their food using a form of suction.
Now translate that into the good ol' Suck n Chuck strategy found in Kirby games. Taking in air, water or sand then spit it out like a bullet. Zoans tend to develop crazy abilities so this would be fitting.
Now I have three possible scenarios for the Devil Fruit.
Eaten by an object, Accidental Consumption, Stored Away only for Accidental Consumption in RiD15.
Considering objects can 'eat' Devil Fruits, a funny scenario in my head is that Sala-Sala Fruit gets stored wrong. The place being a large 20 ft storage Doc Greene made for Wheeljack to store various liquids from water, mercury, etc. Next day a quite large metallic axolotl that looks too much like Wheeljack's container waddles into the common area.
Miko squeals cause holy shit is the thing cute while everyone else is freaking out as this was a CHEMICAL STORAGE. (Thankfully the hazardous stuff can easily be removed and the creature didn't seem to care about getting rummaged.) Considering no one wanted to kill the poor thing to get the fruit, Wheelie, becomes part of Team Prime. Part time emotional support companion, part time storage. (Wheeljack would've named the critter Wheeljack Jr decide not to.)
The second and third scenarios revolve mostly around subspaces. For the third scenario, Bumblebee takes the fruit for protection reasons as it wouldn't be safe on Cybertron. Considering subspaces are part of the bots in general, transporting the fruit in bot mode runs a high accidental consumption risk. There are some warnings signs if this is about to occur.
Nasty taste in the mouth, lack of weight, and the fruit being completely unreachable. Any bot who eats a Devil Fruit will get a special coating applied to them if any mission revolves around deep water. This coating will keep water from touching their frame so they can operate without sinking like stones.
It's quite awkward for the Autobot in question to walk on all fours in animal form as no frame schematic comes with eating a Devil Fruit. Hybrid is easier to manage but having a tail will take some time to adjust. A lot of factors overall.

The Hidden Advantages of Using PDFs Over Docs
When it comes to sharing and storing documents, many people stick to traditional formats like Word or Google Docs. But have you ever wondered what youâre missing out on by not using PDFs? These seemingly simple files come packed with a plethora of benefits that can make your life significantly easier. Think of PDFs as the Swiss Army knife of document formatsâcompact, versatile, and equipped with tools for a variety of tasks. In this article, weâll dive into the often-overlooked advantages of using PDFs over conventional document formats, revealing how they can enhance your workflow and protect your important information.
One of the standout features of PDFs is their security options. Unlike standard document formats, PDFs can be password protected and encrypted, making them a fortress for your sensitive information. Imagine sending a confidential report to your boss without the worry of it being intercepted or altered. With PDFs, you can confidently share documents, knowing they are safeguarded against unauthorized access. This level of security is especially crucial for businesses handling sensitive client data or proprietary information.
Have you ever opened a document on your phone only to find that it looks completely different than it did on your computer? Frustrating, right? PDFs eliminate this headache by preserving the formatting across all devices and operating systems. Whether youâre viewing a PDF on a desktop, tablet, or smartphone, the layout remains intact. This consistency ensures that your audience sees exactly what you intended, no matter how they access the document.
Another advantage of PDFs is their ability to be compressed into smaller file sizes without compromising quality. This means you can easily share large documents via email or upload them to cloud storage without worrying about hitting size limits. Itâs like packing a suitcaseâPDFs allow you to fit more into a smaller space, making them ideal for anyone who frequently shares files online. Plus, if you need to convert documents, check out Convert Run for a seamless transition.
PDFs come equipped with a variety of tools that make annotation and collaboration a breeze. You can highlight text, add comments, and even draw on the document while keeping the original intact. This feature is perfect for teams working on projects together, allowing for real-time feedback without the risk of altering the primary content. Imagine being able to brainstorm ideas and provide input directly on the document itselfâitâs a game changer!
PDFs are universally compatible with a wide range of software and devices. This means whether youâre using Windows, macOS, or even Linux, you can open and view PDFs without any hassle. Itâs like having a universal remote for your documentsâno more worrying about whether your files will open correctly on someone elseâs computer.
Are you tired of documents becoming obsolete due to changing technology? PDFs are designed for long-term preservation, making them ideal for archiving important documents that need to be accessed years later. Think of them as a time capsule for your digital filesâsecure, reliable, and ready for the future.
Finally, PDFs include various accessibility features that support users with disabilities. This ensures that everyone can access and understand the content effectively. By using PDFs, youâre not just making your documents easier to share; youâre also promoting inclusivity and ensuring that your information reaches a broader audience.
1. Enhanced Security Features
When it comes to protecting sensitive information, PDFs shine with their robust security features. Unlike traditional document formats, PDFs offer advanced options such as password protection and encryption. This means that you can confidently share your important files without the fear of unauthorized access. Imagine sending a confidential report to a colleague; with PDFs, you can lock it down tight, ensuring that only the intended recipient can unlock and view the content.
Additionally, PDFs allow you to set permissions, which means you can control what others can do with your document. For instance, you can restrict printing or editing, providing an extra layer of security. This is particularly beneficial in environments where confidentiality is paramount, such as legal and financial sectors.
Another standout feature is the ability to add digital signatures. This not only verifies the identity of the sender but also ensures the integrity of the document. Think of it as a virtual handshakeâconfirming that the document hasnât been tampered with. In fact, many organizations are now adopting PDFs as their go-to format for official communications, thanks to these security features.
If youâre looking to convert documents to PDF format, you might want to check out Convert Run. This tool simplifies the process of converting various file types to PDFs while maintaining the security features that make them so appealing. With just a few clicks, you can transform your documents into secure PDFs, ready for sharing without compromising on safety.
In summary, the enhanced security features of PDFs not only provide peace of mind but also ensure that your documents remain safe from prying eyes. Whether youâre dealing with personal information or corporate secrets, PDFs offer a level of protection that traditional document formats simply canât match.
2. Consistent Formatting Across Devices
When it comes to sharing documents, have you ever experienced the frustration of opening a file only to find that the formatting is completely off? Itâs like trying to read a book with missing pages! This is where PDFs shine. The beauty of a PDF lies in its ability to maintain consistent formatting across various devices and operating systems. Whether youâre viewing a PDF on a desktop, tablet, or smartphone, you can rest assured that the layout, fonts, and graphics will appear just as intended.
Imagine sending a beautifully designed report to your colleague, only for them to open it on their computer and see a jumbled mess. With PDFs, thatâs a worry of the past. The fixed layout of PDFs ensures that what you see is what you get. This consistency is crucial, especially for businesses that rely on professional presentations and branding. You wouldnât want your carefully crafted marketing materials to lose their impact due to formatting issues, right?
Moreover, PDFs are particularly advantageous when it comes to sharing documents with people who may not have the same software installed on their devices. For instance, if you create a document in Microsoft Word, thereâs a chance that someone using Google Docs or a different word processor might not see the document as you intended. But with a PDF, the document is encapsulated in a way that preserves its integrity.
To make this even clearer, letâs break down the key benefits of consistent formatting in PDFs:
Professional Appearance:Â No more awkward formatting errors that can make your documents look unprofessional.
Universal Accessibility:Â PDFs can be opened on any device without worrying about software compatibility.
Time-Saver:Â You wonât spend time fixing formatting issues after sending a document.
So, the next time you need to share a document, consider converting it to PDF format. Tools like Convert Run can help you easily convert your files, ensuring that your documents look exactly how you want them to, no matter where theyâre viewed. In a world where first impressions matter, consistent formatting can make all the difference!

3. Smaller File Sizes
When it comes to sharing documents, file size matters. Imagine trying to send a hefty Word document through emailâitâs like trying to fit an elephant into a tiny car! Fortunately, PDFs come to the rescue with their ability to be compressed into smaller file sizes without compromising quality. This is a game-changer for anyone who needs to send files quickly and efficiently. With PDFs, you can easily compress your documents while ensuring that they maintain their visual integrity.
One of the reasons PDFs can achieve this smaller size is due to their efficient compression algorithms. These algorithms work behind the scenes to reduce the file size by eliminating unnecessary data, thus making it easier to share and store. For instance, a document that might be several megabytes in a Word format can often be reduced to just a few hundred kilobytes as a PDF. This not only saves space on your device but also makes it a breeze to upload and download files, especially in environments where bandwidth is limited.
Additionally, if youâre looking for a quick and easy way to convert your documents to PDF format, you can use online tools like Convert Run. This site allows you to convert various file types into PDFs efficiently, ensuring that your documents are not only smaller but also more manageable. The beauty of using a service like Convert Run is that you can maintain the quality of your documents while enjoying the benefits of a reduced file size.
To illustrate the difference in file sizes, consider the following example:Document TypeOriginal SizePDF SizeWord Document2.5 MB300 KBExcel Spreadsheet1.8 MB250 KBPowerPoint Presentation3.0 MB500 KB
As you can see, the reduction in size is significant. This not only makes it easier to share documents but also ensures that your storage space is utilized more effectively. So, the next time youâre faced with a large document, consider converting it to a PDF. Youâll be amazed at how much easier it is to handle and share!
4. Easy Annotation and Collaboration
When it comes to collaboration, PDFs truly shine. Imagine working on a team project where everyone has different opinions and ideas. Wouldnât it be a hassle to track changes in a Word document? With PDFs, you can easily add annotations, comments, and highlights directly on the document itself. This means that instead of sending multiple versions back and forth, you can have a single source of truth that everyone can interact with. Itâs like having a virtual meeting room where all ideas can be expressed without cluttering the original document!
Many PDF readers come equipped with a variety of tools that allow users to:
Highlight text:Â This is perfect for drawing attention to key points that need discussion.
Add sticky notes:Â Users can leave comments or questions without altering the original text.
Draw shapes or freehand:Â Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, and these tools let you express your thoughts visually.
Moreover, the ability to collaborate in real-time makes PDFs even more appealing. Several platforms enable users to work simultaneously on a PDF document, allowing for immediate feedback and adjustments. This is particularly beneficial in fast-paced environments where time is of the essence. Instead of waiting for someone to finish their edits, you can see changes as they happen, which promotes a dynamic and engaging workflow.
And letâs not forget about the convenience of converting documents to PDFs. If you have a Word file or another document type that needs to be shared, you can easily convert it to a PDF using Convert Run. This ensures that your original formatting remains intact, and everyone can view it as intended, regardless of the software they use.
In summary, the ease of annotation and collaboration with PDFs not only enhances productivity but also fosters a more efficient communication process among team members. So next time youâre working on a group project, consider using PDFs to streamline your workflow and keep everyone on the same page!
5. Universal Compatibility
When it comes to sharing documents, universal compatibility is a game-changer. Imagine sending a file to a colleague halfway across the world, and they can open it without any hassle. Thatâs one of the standout features of PDFs! Unlike traditional document formats that might require specific software, PDFs can be viewed on virtually any device. Whether youâre using a Windows PC, a Mac, or even a smartphone, PDFs are like that universal remote control that just works with everything.
But what makes PDFs so universally compatible? It boils down to their robust design. PDFs preserve the original formatting, fonts, and images, ensuring that your document looks exactly as you intended, no matter where itâs opened. This is particularly important for businesses that rely on consistent branding. Can you imagine sending a beautifully designed brochure only for it to look like a jumbled mess on someone elseâs screen? With PDFs, that nightmare is a thing of the past.
Furthermore, if you ever find yourself needing to convert documents into PDF format, tools like Convert Run make it incredibly easy. This online platform allows you to convert various file types into PDFs seamlessly, ensuring that you can keep everything in one universally accepted format. This not only simplifies your workflow but also enhances collaboration with team members who might be using different operating systems or software.
In addition, PDFs are widely accepted in various industries, from education to healthcare to legal sectors. For example:
Education:Â Teachers and students often share assignments and research papers in PDF format.
Healthcare:Â Patient records and medical documents are typically stored as PDFs for secure sharing.
Legal:Â Contracts and legal agreements are often required to be in PDF format to maintain authenticity.
In conclusion, the universal compatibility of PDFs not only enhances the ease of sharing but also ensures that your documents maintain their integrity across different platforms. So, whether youâre a student, a business professional, or just someone who wants to share a great recipe, PDFs are the way to go!

6. Long-Term Document Preservation
When it comes to preserving important documents, PDFs shine like a diamond in the rough. Unlike other formats that may become obsolete or incompatible over time, PDFs are designed with longevity in mind. Imagine storing your family photos or essential legal documents; you want them to last, right? PDFs ensure that your documents remain intact and accessible for years to come, regardless of the technology that emerges.
One of the key features that contribute to this long-term preservation is the PDF/A standard. This is a specific version of the PDF format that is tailored for archiving. It embeds all necessary information, such as fonts and color profiles, ensuring that the document looks the same today as it will in a decade. In a world where digital formats can quickly become outdated, PDF/A acts as a reliable time capsule.
Furthermore, the metadata capabilities of PDFs allow for detailed information to be included within the file. This could be anything from the authorâs name to the documentâs creation date. Such details are crucial for future reference, making it easier to locate and identify documents when needed. Think of it as a library catalog for your digital files!
In addition to preserving the documentâs integrity, PDFs also support a variety of compression techniques. This means you can reduce the file size without compromising quality, making it easier to store large volumes of documents. When you need to archive hundreds of files, this feature can save both space and time.
For those who are looking to convert other document formats into PDFs, Convert Run offers a seamless solution. This platform allows users to transform various file types into PDFs effortlessly, ensuring that your documents are not only preserved but also easily accessible. By converting your files into PDFs, you are taking a proactive step in safeguarding your important documents for the future.
In summary, if youâre serious about document preservation, embracing PDFs is a smart move. They provide a robust framework for ensuring your files remain accessible, secure, and visually consistent for years to come. So, whether itâs a cherished family recipe or a crucial business contract, PDFs have got your back!
7. Accessibility Features
One of the standout features of PDFs is their commitment to accessibility. This means that they are designed to be usable by everyone, including individuals with disabilities. Imagine trying to navigate a document thatâs not designed with accessibility in mind; it can be frustrating and often impossible for some users. PDFs help bridge this gap by incorporating features that cater specifically to those who may have visual impairments, hearing difficulties, or other challenges.
For instance, PDFs can include text-to-speech capabilities, allowing screen readers to read the content aloud. This is a game-changer for visually impaired users, as it ensures they can access the same information as anyone else. Furthermore, PDFs allow for the inclusion of alternative text for images. This means that if an image is present, a description can be provided, giving context to those who cannot see it.
Additionally, the structure of a PDF can be enhanced with tags that define headings, lists, and other elements, making it easier for assistive technologies to interpret the content correctly. This structured approach is akin to having a well-organized bookshelf where every book is in its proper place, making it easy for anyone to find what they need.
Hereâs a brief overview of some key accessibility features in PDFs:
Screen Reader Compatibility: Ensures that the content can be read aloud for visually impaired users.
Alternative Text for Images: Provides descriptions for images, helping those who cannot see them understand the context.
Tagged Content: Allows for better navigation and understanding of the document structure.
Keyboard Navigation: Users can navigate through the document using keyboard shortcuts, which is essential for those unable to use a mouse.
These features not only enhance usability but also demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity. In todayâs world, where digital content is ubiquitous, ensuring that everyone has access to information is not just a legal obligation but a moral one. By choosing PDFs, youâre not just opting for a versatile document format; youâre also making a statement about accessibility and equality.
For those interested in converting documents to PDF format, tools like Convert Run make the process seamless. With just a few clicks, you can transform your documents into accessible PDFs, ensuring they meet the necessary standards for all users.

Maximize Your Business Financing with Expert Guidance
As a Credit Specialist, I'm excited to share valuable insights on how to secure financing for your business, even if you're just starting out. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore strategies to help you obtain up to four car loans and potentially two credit cards with a single inquiry.
The Importance of Business Credit
Bank of America Requirements:
Your business credit file doesn't need to be extremely strong.
Authorized users, utilities, subscriptions, and rental payments can boost your credit score.
Maintain a healthy debt-to-income ratio, usually up to 50-55%.
Preparing Your Business for Financing
Essential Documents:
Articles of Incorporation
Employer Identification Number (EIN)
Business phone number (can use Google Voice)
Business address (use a commercial storage unit address if needed)
Corporate email address (more important than a DUNS number)
Building Business Credit
Establishing Trade Lines:
Nav and Fairfi can help you establish 4-5 trade lines quickly.
Fairfi reports to multiple business credit bureaus and provides funding without a hard credit check.
Setting Up Your Business Bank Accounts
Recommended Approach:
Open a personal checking, savings, and a business bank account.
Wait 60-90 days before applying for financing to establish a relationship with the bank.
Be prepared to provide proof of income, especially if you have a side gig or freelance income.
Navigating Commercial Vehicle Loans
Important Considerations:
Ensure you have commercial insurance on the vehicles to avoid the loan being called.
Classify the vehicles as commercial if you plan to use them for services like Turo, as the high mileage can trigger loan issues.
Remember, building a strong business credit profile takes time and effort, but the rewards can be significant. If you have any questions about business credit funding, personal credit funding, or negative item removal, don't hesitate to reach out for a one-on-one consultation. Does anyone have suggestions to replace Google Docs, free & no subscription?
I write a *lot* of poems and stories. I'm now at the point where, without a paid subscription, I donât have enough storage in Google Suite for all of it. It just glitched because it thought my subscription ended (it didn't) and now I can't access any of my newer stories because it's stolen away my editing ability due to ânot enough spaceâ. I want my shit back.
Iâve mostly been using Google Docs because it was introduced to me in 2015 when I first began writing, as a place to do class assignments. Now I canât use it because I write too much I guess. đ
But every time I search for a new writing place I come up empty handed.
Most cost money, or seem free but everything requires in app purchases to function, or they don't have all the edit abilities I need, or itâs free but super glitchy and full of ads to the point of being unusable. I also get exhausted trying to find anything that meets all the criteria for what I need.
I want to get away from Google, especially after this fuckery. But Âżwhere can I go?
~~
Lists of what I need / am trying to find:
~~
Biggest problem I canât find or replace:
- I need it to autosave (or be able to be saved) to the Interwebs so I can use my laptop *and* phone to edit the same story. Sometimes laptop works better for my brain, & sometimes phone does.
~~
Functions I use very frequently:
- bold & italic
- page colour (I need to be able to make it dark/black to read it, ADHD skips lines otherwise)
- text colour (again, need to change to see it, white & black are bad options; I usually use at least 3 colours in one doc)
- comment/suggest function
- share (suggest, edit, view separated) function
- âspace after paragraphâ (1.15 distance but I need that extra bump to distinguish paragraphs)
- alignment (right and center)
~~
Functions I use semi frequently / would be nice to have:
- checklist
- bulleted list
- ability to see definitions of words
~~
ÂżCan anyone help me out here? ÂżPiracy Tumblr, writer Tumblr, anyone who knows how or where to find options?
Iâm open to multiple suggestions, or a list. I just need somewhere to go/take all my stuff away from Google. đ„ș

Strategies for Integrating MuleSoft with GCP
GCP Connectors and Extensions:
Check Anypoint Exchange for any available connectors or extensions for GCP services. These connectors can simplify integration by providing pre-built operations and authentication mechanisms.
Custom Integration via APIs:
For GCP services without a dedicated MuleSoft connector, use the HTTP Connector in Anypoint Studio to call GCPâs RESTful APIs. This method requires handling authentication, usually via OAuth 2.0, and crafting API requests according to the GCP serviceâs API documentation.
Service Account Authentication:
Use GCP service accounts for authenticating from your Mule application to GCP services. Service accounts provide credentials for applications to authenticate against GCP APIs securely.
Store the service account key file securely and use it to generate access tokens for API calls.
Cloud Pub/Sub Integration:
To integrate with Cloud Pub/Sub, use the Pub/Sub API to publish and subscribe to messages. This can facilitate event-driven architecture patterns in your Mule applications.
Cloud Storage Integration:
Use the Google Cloud Storage JSON API to upload, download, and manage objects in buckets. Ensure your Mule application handles the authentication and authorization flow to interact with Cloud Storage.
Error Handling and Logging:
Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms, especially for handling API rate limits, quotas, and retries for transient errors.
Best Practices
Securely Manage Credentials:Â Use MuleSoftâs secure configuration properties to store GCP credentials securely. Avoid hardcoding credentials in your application code.
Optimize API Usage:Â Be mindful of GCPâs API quotas and limits. Implement efficient API calls and caching where appropriate to reduce load and costs.
Monitor Integration Health:Â Utilize Anypoint Monitoring and Google Cloudâs monitoring tools to keep track of the health, performance, and usage metrics of your integrations.

I NEED HELP REGARDING FANFICTION AND AO3 PLEASE!!!!!!!
Hey guys, does anyone know if Ao3 can let me make an account and stories that are viewable only to ME and nobody else, regardless if they are registered Ao3 users or not?
I've been wanting to make a seperate Ao3 account from my main account that's purely for the use of moving my favorite FF.Net fics from other authors there, especially since @inukag sounded the alert about FF.Net in this post yesterday. I had already been thinking about this before hand, but her post was a huge reminder to me.
It's just that I need a platform or site where I can archive these fics in a way where once I've posted them on there, than I can delete the original file that's in my phone, or computer or whatever device I'm using. A single fic file takes up storage space on said device, and a lot of it too if it's a long fic. But if I can upload a file into an archive like Ao3 or FF.Net (where once you've posted it on there, you can delete the original file from your device), than that'd solve the problem.
The thing is, if I were to do something like that on Ao3, I don't want to make the fics public in case the authors wouldn't want their stories posted for general audiences outside of FF.Net. I just want it to be for my own viewing pleasure and my viewing pleasure only. But I don't know if Ao3 will allow me to do that, which is why I'm hesitating. If I could, I'd ask all the authors directly if it's okay to do something like that, but most of these fics are OLD and their authors haven't even touched FF.Net in years and haven't provided any additional social media info within their bios, so chances are that when I try messaging them on FF.Net, a lot of them may not even respond at all.
If I wasn't worried about that, and could get the proper permission from the authors that simply, I wouldn't be so worried about posting them more publically, but because it's not always that simple (especially for the older fics), that's why I only want to archive these fics completely privately for only me. But I want to do it in a way where I can post it somewhere that doesn't take up storage space on my devices, and that's why I'm looking at Ao3 right now or anywhere similar.
Part of me just wants to throw caution to the wind and start posting my favorite fics to Ao3 regardless if they're public or not and just give the proper credit to the authors in question by clarifying who they are in the Ao3 Summary area, but would that still really be okay? Wouldn't it be just like reposting fanart without permission???
This is why I need your guys' help. I just want to know if there's a way I can post COMPLETELY PRIVATE, ONLY FOR ME fics onto Ao3 with a seperate account, OR if there's a similar website or platform I can do that on and have it be in a way where once it's on that site/platform, then I can delete the OG file from my device itself, but the fic would still be posted on the site I archived it on. The closest I've gotten to an alternative is Google Docs, but it doesn't do the proper spacing.
If anyone has suggestions or can help me out, that'd be awesome.
#it doesn't help too that there are literal hundreds of thousands of fics from FF.Net that I want to save#and that doesn't help my storage space issue#this is why i only have like. 3 or 4 fics saced in my actual device#but if I could post them somewhere like Ao3 privately it wouldn't be so bad#inuyasha#inukag#kagome higurashi#inuyasha fanfic#inuyasha fanfiction#fanfiction.net#ao3#archieve of our own#inukag fanfiction#inukag fanfic#fruits basket#fruits basket fanfiction#fanfiction#fairy tail#fairy tail fanfiction#nalu#nalu fanfic#nalu fanfiction#fairy tail fanfic#inuyasha fandom#kyoru#kyoru fanfic#kyoru fanfiction

Big questions here. You don't have to answer them but if you do thanks I'm just curious as a writer myself. Do you edit the grammar and spelling of your writings during the writing process or afterwards? And do you use a specific website e.g. Grammarly to help with any corrections you've missed? Do you write up your writings in tumblr drafts, word, or something like that? And when you have new ideas for writings do you note them down, start up a quick draft or how do you remember new ideas?
omg no youâre totally fine i actually. really genuinely love being asked about my writing process and habits itâs so fun to me !!!! okay i feel chatty so this got rly long apologies đđđ i tried to bold keywords from your questions so you could pick out my answers more easily :D
ngl my grammar and spelling is like. pretty damn good like any mistakes i ever catch in my stories are never genuine spelling errors theyre literally just typos đ and as for grammar, the grammar issues i ever ever find are birthed from like. inconsistency w the preexisting sentence structure djfjsjfj bc i always always always reread and edit while iâm writing especially when iâm starting out w the fic, but the longer it gets, the more exhausting it becomes to reread the whole thing sjfkdkdkd
also sometimes iâll stop writing a fic mid sentence thatâs semi-long and when i come back, i just pick up from where i left off without. rereading the sentence đđđ whenever i reread my like published works and catch mistakes just know i thought about putting my head directly through a wall đđđ
so!! i do edit it obsessively during, i proofread it after iâm done (even though iâm usually exhausted and honestly sick of the story at that point) and then i send it to a friend or multiple friends so they can beta it for me, then i make any changes as i see fit, proofread it on my own AGAIN usually very lazily, then iâm like âi cant bear to look at you anymoreâ and i just post it sjjjdkddj
i donât use any sort of online tools to âhelpâ me write apart from google docs and the built in suggestion feature they have! i hate grammarly, actually skfjskdkd it doesnât know half as much as it thinks it does and its software fucked up so often when i used it that i was just like. âwhat the fuck are you talking about.â also, i think that in very specific occasions, general sentence rules can be slightly subverted in order to achieve some sort of goal, and i enjoy doing that from time to time, so it got annoying when grammarly was like being dumb or that hemingway website said shit like âthis sentence is rly long and complexâ likeâŠ.yeah. i know. i did that on purpose.
i will never in my life trust tumblr to host any drafts of my work. never. ever. âŠ.ever. i either make a google docs draft or a notes draft for like. actual longer ideas like scenes and more plotting and stuff!! if itâs a small little idea and i have a bunch for some reason, occasionally iâll write the ideas down physically either onto paper or w my apple pencil onto my note taking app on my ipad sjfjskkd !!
but yeah tbh i was just talking to nova abt this the other day bc we were talking abt wips and our storage of them and. when i was trying to count how many wips i even have, i had to search in like. 3 different apps (technically 4 but thatâs bc i already have lists on here in my drafts that i have elsewhere but itâs easier to find them here shfjsj) in different documents until i rounded up all the lil ideas like stray sheep đđđ so hopefully soon i can set aside time to sit down and compile every single wip, at least the idea and where i have more info stored, into one single google doc for my convenience !!!!
BUT YEAH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE QUESTIONS LIKE THESE đ„șđ„șđ„ș if you or anyone else has any more writing process questions, totally feel free to ask!!!!

How do I keep my worldbuilding consistent when I have multiple timelines and alternate universes? Especially when memories can bleed over too.
Constablewrites: Really, really good notes. Youâre gonna need something that allows for a high level of organization and categorization. That might be a tool like Scrivener or Evernote that lets you create folders and tags, or if you prefer physical notes you can use different colored pens, sticky notes, or even multiple notebooks. (There are probably tools out there specifically designed for such a purpose, but Iâm not personally familiar with any.)
However you keep your lists, youâll want to have one set of notes for each timeline and universe that impacts the story. If you have characters hopping around, youâll also want to have notes for each characterâs personal timeline (so the order in which they experience events, which timelines/universes they travel between, what they remember when, etc.). These lists donât have to be super long or involved--just a brief phrase describing the scene or event can be enough to keep it straight.
Even for writers only working with a single timeline, it can be useful to have a calendar of events. You can call your start point Day 1 and go from there, assign events to arbitrary dates on our calendar, or go into detail with your own system, whatever works for you. The key is just to have a way to be sure of how much time has passed, so you donât have something like characters saying theyâve only known each other a couple of days when itâs established elsewhere that itâs been a month.
Also, this doesnât have to be done in advance. Doing it as you go is fine, and so is assembling the lists as youâre preparing to edit and untangle everything. You might save yourself some effort down the line if you sort that stuff out before writing, but not everyoneâs brain works like that and thatâs okay.
Tex: Itâs difficult to make lists and notes if you donât know what information to put in them. This is a fairly common issue, since the plethora of information available to particularly worldbuilders can easily become a sensory overload.
A calendar of events is an excellent idea, if youâve got events to catalogue (and dates to go along with them!). Unfortunately that wonât cover the rest of a world, so youâll need to be careful in how your organize your notes. Please note that both of our suggestions are but one of many methods to arranging worldbuilding notes, especially when it comes to multiple timelines.
Scrivener, Evernote, OneNote, or even a set of notebooks or word documents can be very versatile depending on your style of note-taking. I deeply prefer an iterative process to worldbuilding, wherein I slowly collate and organize scraps of notes into a polished whole that functions as an archive. Usually I keep multiple versions, in case I need to roll back to certain timelines of development and branch off in a different direction, and keep the discarded versions in case thereâs a new way to incorporate the research and ideas.
Thereâs a lot of debate about digital vs physical copies. For digital, the pros are that you can easily edit and transmit files to a high volume capacity, as well as store them in a comparatively small container or even purely online. Its cons, however, are that theyâre easily lost, corrupted, or stolen.
For physical, the pros are that the copies are tangible, easy to visually reference in large volumes, and can usually withstand long-term storage without corruption issues. Its cons, however, are that they have a physical weight, can be cumbersome to carry around, and are difficult to edit while retaining coherency.
One of the most successful note-taking styles Iâve seen is a blend of digital and physical. When youâre still developing an idea, a digital format is very useful until youâve gotten some concrete decisions down. You can do this with some throwaway notebooks or loose paper, too! Just make sure itâs collected in the same place, or at least is annotated in a way thatâs easy to identify (e.g. headers of the same colour, washi tape, dedicated ink colours, dedicated folders, etc).
The intermediary point is usually the difficult part, because transitioning into firm decisions about your worldbuilding is where packrat tendencies kick in. âBut what if I need this?â is a very common refrain. However, if youâve isolated your first step, youâll still have all of your sketches and ideas and notes!
A basic sorting process of âIâll keep working on thisâ versus âIâll set this aside in case I still need thisâ will tamp down on a lot of that inevitable anxiety. This will give you control over the flow of development, and youâll always be able to incorporate things from that second pile if necessary.
The main characteristic of the intermediary point is the filing system, and is incredibly useful even when dividing a world into multiple timelines.
The best method that Iâve found for working on multiple timelines is to start from the most common details. Since these notes are likely to be stored with other stories, the first order is fandom vs original work. If you only write original work, it may be helpful to arrange things by title and/or genre.
Iâve made a sample worldbuilding folder on Google Drive (available here) that can be downloaded locally or into your own Drive, and am narrating the main path way; any additional folders you see will largely be blank in order to allow others to learn the overall structure. You can always copy the folders and files I mention into the additional folders, and rearrange as best suits you!
Since I made this for primarily fandom (re-title as necessary for original work), this means choosing Fandom 1 and then World Name 1. Traditionally the first world is the âcanonâ world, or the original seed, so it gets first pick.
I have in World Name 1 some things pre-seeded:
Timeline 1
Timeline 2
Unsorted
World Name 1 - Meta Info.txt
All of the individual files in there - usually .txt or .docx - have information on them regarding suggestions how to use them. If you already have a method, then disregard and populate as you prefer.
The Unsorted folder acts as a catch-all, and thereâs going to be one of these at roughly each level. For the Timeline level, this means working in conjunction with the Meta Info text file - usually discarded snippets and/or research. While you can definitely create subfolders in this one, I would recommend keeping it loose so you donât create a stressful, nitpicking situation that loses focus on your main goals.
If you have a main timeline, then thatâs going to be Timeline 1. However you choose to prioritize the other ones, just make sure youâre consistent with it, and clearly label everything.
Within Timeline 1, youâre going to have the following items:
Story folder
Plot folder
Unsorted folder
Culture folder
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - To Do List.txt
You already know how the Unsorted folder functions, so pass that one by. Iâll cover the file before delving into the folders. Itâs a text file (thatâs a bit oddly sized, apologies for that - it can be resized upon opening with Notepad or a similar program), and left without any instructions or suggestions. World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - To Do List is, as it says on the tin, meant to keep track of things that need doing for this timeline. Be it items that need updating, necessary tweaks, reminders for other things, itâs a relatively isolated way to keep track of this timeline on a meta scale.
Moving on to the rest, the Story folder contains two of its own - Chapters and Master Story. Iâve found this method useful, since itâs dumping drafts into a virtual outbox on an as-completed basis. Master Story has a preseeded doc, while Chapters is meant to contain each chapter unto its own folder (Chapter 1 has its own preseeded doc, as well). The guide docs are colour-coded and contain notes for both fanfiction and original work.
The next folder in Timeline 1, Plot, comes with three pre-seeded guide docs of its own:
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - Characters.docx
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - Plot Unsorted.docx
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - Plot.docx
You see how thereâs still an Unsorted folder, albeit in file form? Thatâs for information that canât be put into Characters.docx or Plot.docx. All three have notes and some sort of sorting and colour-coding applied to them, with some modularity for copying and pasting. Plot.docx functions a lot like programs like OneNote and Scrivener, so the formatting can be ported over if you prefer a more literal digital notebook style.
The last folder in Timeline 1 is Culture. Iâve divided this into Non-Physical and Physical. Thereâs a readme text file in both detailing the types of things would go into each folder, though otherwise both left blank so you can dive right into creating sub-folder systems of your own. As with the higher-level folders, you can always duplicate the methods of unsorted folders and meta docs!
