Star Fae Gender

A gender that feels like fairies in space; out of place and confused, but staying hopeful and true to oneself nonetheless!

Connected to feeling small when looking at the night sky, reflexively looking for shooting stars, mushrooms and/or the way fungi transfer biological data, floaty feelings, etc!

Changelian - A xenogender wherein ones' gender is that of a Changeling, the species of Faefolk. This is a Fae that is believed to take the form of a Human and mimic their behavior in order to live among them. Some Changelings are said to replace Human babies or young children, while others are said to be Humans transformed by Fae magic. Changelings are often considered to be under the shapeshifter umbrella. Someone who is changelian might feel like their identity is ever-shifting or adjusting to the world around them, or like their inner Fae identity is "covered up" by their human exterior. It's common for one changelian to experience their gender very differently from the next - what connects every one is the gender experience tied to Being a Changeling.

This gender is intended for people who're either on the autism spectrum or are Changelingkin/otherwise Changeling-aligned alterhuman. Due to the history of Changeling mythology, please do not use this term if you're not one of these.

The flag begins with dark green, forested colors at the bottom, going through a desaturated and hazy change in the middle before emerging as a golden-yellow, a color we personally associate with humans. It pays homage to the concept of Changeling children coming from the forest.

So...we're lesboys and non-binary lesbians. We're not even remotely women. We use the "queer attraction to women" definition of lesbian, but we don't like the common assumption that all lesbians are women/sapphic. Also, insert weird plural gender shenanigans here.

A gender that relates to fae/faery/fairies (or other spellings of these beings!) in some way. One who is faegender may have been fae in a past life or identifies with faeries in some manner, perhaps feeling mystical or having a deep connection to gender.

This identity is NOT appropriation as faeries/fae are different spellings of a being from the same root words. They are NOT exclusive to one's culture, and in this usage, they are used in their most basic form: beings who are enchanted/magical, mystical, and deeply connected with nature.

Seelie Fae flag!

A flag for seelie fae, specifically from the Hollow Star Saga by Ashley Shuttleworth.

Coined by Raleigh, not a request, if this has been coined specifically already please treat it as an alt flag!

[Flag IDs: An eight striped horizontal flag, and each stripe is of equal width and length. The colours are a gradient from dark gold to white, and there is a png image of a sun, which is a black circle with alternating long and very short triangles as rays. There are also stars, starting from the very top of the sixth stripe and going up to the fourth stripe and towards the middle, almost touching the sun, and then the same on the other side of the sun, but it starts a bit lower. Coming Out (Again)

In a move that seems to be completely unsurprising to most of my friends and family. I'm transfemme (she/they). It's a scary world as of writing this, but the fact these feelings are still here despite that after so long is something I can no longer ignore. Expect a more full comic like last time soon.
