I hope you haven't been asked this before. I've looked through the tags I don't think I've seen one that relates. I've just finished syrupfactory's Ineffably Ever After series, it was so sweet and adorable. I loved the idea of exploring them in the far flung future.

Do you know of any other fics that explore them in the distant future or do you have #farfuture or #distantfuture or equivalent tags that I've missed?

Finally, thank you so much for this amazing resource. You are basically my GO fic encyclopedia. Whenever I've finished a fic, I come back here pick a tag and find my next obsession! Keep up the amazing work ❤️

Thousands of years into the future, the Earth is dying, and the angels have fled with the humans. Only one demon remains to try and make the Earth habitable again. (Alternate Universe inspired by Wall-E)

Angels are from Heaven, Demons are from Hell by Mrs_Cake_Is_Here (M)

Angels have created new alien species, 24th century Earth has turned into paradise, and Aziraphale and Crowley are Bored and in a Rut. Their once spicy Partnership is now steeped in monotony, miscommunication, and a significant amount of doubt about their future. Aziraphale believes a vacation filled with five-star travel accommodations and a stay on a pleasure planet is the solution. But even the best laid plans of angels and demons can go awry. Aziraphale and Crowley will have to overcome travel disagreements, contact embarrassment, transporter phobia, boring archaeology lectures, Deanna Troi, and the Essentialist Movement's sabotage of Risa, while trying to find time to physically and emotionally reconnect and start communicating (eventually). Basically, a lighthearted Good Omens-Star Trek crossover romp that follows Aziraphale and Crowley through the world of 90s-version 24th century Trek. They eventually find themselves in DS9 season 05 episode 07 (essentially as extras), where their vacation is inconveniently interrupted by a bunch of fundamentalists whose dastardly deeds inadvertently help an angel and a demon realize how much they love one another.

After watching the world suffer total ecological and societal collapse, Crowley is forced to live and work in a warehouse growing and supplying food to the powerful elite living 'Above', his only source of entertainment his attempts to flirt with one of the guards, who just happens to be insanely attractive. Crowley is shocked when the guard ends up offering him a position as his personal assistant, with an ulterior motive that might be too good to be true. The two of them agree to work together, but can't let anyone from Above find out what's really going on, hiding the true nature of their association under the guise of an intimate relationship, although it isn't long before Crowley starts to yearn for the closeness he shares with Aziraphale to become something real.

he loves non-compulsory rain, by which i mean he likes to Enjoy and Appreciate Storms, but he does NOT (!!) appreciate being required to Do Things in it. he likes to curl up with a book and tea when it's real bad out there, and he has been known to enjoy the occasional rainy run on his own terms, but he WILL make Very Bad Decisions if someone oasis demands that he Participate In Activities In Rain.

🦷 - Would this oc ever bite someone? (dealer's choice)

jorge has and would (although not lately). driscoll, my beloved monster child to whom i am returning next month, has one (1) close call, and feels bad about it for the rest of their very long life. (jury's still out on whether or not FarFuture!Driscoll bites marshall or crimson, although i'm currently leaning toward nah--biting your fellow semi-eldritch horrors is the recourse of those who can't do Weirder Shit although we could do Weird Biting, i spose.)

💛 - Are they ‘good with children’, or awkward? (dealer's choice)

jorge is good with kids! driscoll actually is, too, although they sometimes feel awkward around them (because driscoll can't always tell how old a kid is and/or how much they can handle, and dealing with Tiny Humans and their Huge Feelings during Active Misplacement Events with a side of Monster Activity is. fraught.).
