ive just realized something--since fae show no signs of aging (ex. lilia being like 80 in fae years and still looking young) and since malleus was literally born out of an egg.. does that mean that this dude literally hatched fresh outta the egg as a whole grown man.. 😭😭

Serious answer though: I think physical aging depends on the type of nocturnal fae, and the forever young feature is unique to Lilia. Grandpa Baul Zigvolt, while probably also slow aging as he's a full-blooded fae, looks like a typical adult compared to him. This might be because Lilia is specifically a bat fae. Bat + fae probably means vampire in their world, and vampires in pop fiction are notoriously youthful-looking their whole lives.

Now, going to the dragon fae. It's assumed unless proven otherwise that they are born as little dragons instead of humanoid, as Malleus mentioned multiple times that his true form is the dragon one. They might just gradually learn how to turn human because being a dragon upon birth provides better odds at survival for a species so rare. As for aging, if we'll go with pop fiction like the vampire formula, their aging might be multiplicative(/divisive?). Like, they grow fast the first year, a bit slower the next, slower again the next, until they reach a point where they barely age at all and have basically become immortal! In pop fiction, dragons grow stronger as they grow older, which probably means they are indeed immortal and don't die a natural death. They need to be killed.

This goes with canon so far as it's known that grandma Maleficia is extremely, extremely old yet she's still heralded by Malleus as having power far beyond him, an active 18-year-old. This means our boy still has a lot of growing to do; both in strength and in height! 😂

This Disney Twisted Wonderland collage is par of a series that showcase the parallel comparisons between the original TWST characters with the classic Disney villain characters (or trademark items) that they are based on upon and inspired from. In which has those Twisted Wonderland characters be seen as the TWST counterparts of those Disney characters. I got the idea for this series after seeing Tumblr posts of the TWST Housewardens and Vice-Housewardens being featured beside the original Disney characters that they represent, and I didn't want to limit myself to the Dorm Heads and overblot victims, but also for the other TWST characters. That's why I didn't leave out Lillia Vanrouge, Sebek Zigvolt and Silver (like I did with Jack Howl and Ortho Shroud). Although it has been clear that Malleus Draconia and the Diasomnia dorm are modelled after Maleficent, who the other three are based upon is a bit of a mystery.

From what I read on Google, they say that Lilia's bat motif is a reference to dragon!Maleficent, Sebek is of Maleficent's thorn and lightning magic and Silver's tiredness is a hit to the spindle of the Spinning Wheel that put Sleeping Beauty to sleep. Spoilers from chapter 7, however, has me question these claims and I don't really trust the source that this information came from. In case I turn out to be wrong and there might be some truth to this, I featured the three in the same collage to be safe. It is also why I dubbed the collage as "Magic of Diasomnia."

If you want my opinion, I believe that Lilia might have been inspired from one of Maleficent's goons, the same with Sebek. The reason for this thought is due to face of the goblin-like goon being part of Lilia's Pop Music club wear and Lilia was a knight who served the royal Draconia family. The same with Sebek's grandfather, and there is Maleficent goon that has a crocodile-like face. Sebek is also the name of an Egyptian god with a crocodile face, unless it is only Grandpa Zigvolt alone who is based on that Sleeping Beauty character.

Another group is saying that Lilia's character could be a reference to the bat style of Maleficent's throne, or that part of his character is drawn from the Three Good Fairies. Since Silver has some Aurora-like traits, not only does be nod off and animals are drawn to him, but it is mentioned that Lilia raised him a prince. If you take a look at the later parts of chapter 7, you'll see that the story of how Lilia came to be Silver's father paradelles with the 2014 Maleficent film. There was also a reference to the Three Good Fairies in a chat between Silver and Lilia about Lilia's cooking, from how he placed candles on a cake when it was still being made and put eggs in the bowl without taking the eggs out of their shells. Along with Lilia's groovy Platinum Jacket card having him looking at a portrait of the three fairies in question.

If you don't think any of these are the case, please share your thoughts and keep them kind. I'm still new to the TWST fandom, and still learning about it.

Colored my Haley dragon form redesign!

I'd love to do sketches like this for some of the other dragon characters. I headcanon that while many features (horns, wings, ears, basically every other trait) are genetic, a dragon's scale colors are actually based on the color the dragon is surrounded by as their powers are developing. I think of it as a developmental characteristic that originally evolved as a form of camouflage, but in modern times expresses a dragon's individuality!

Haley's design is meant to evoke a lot of the ideas I had for how her grandmother would look, which is why she doesn't express any eastern dragon traits. She looks pretty different from her brother and Grandpa, but she has her grandpa's eyes!

I imagine she would grow some pretty impressive horns into adulthood, but they're still teeny for now.

So if you saw the last one of these I made, then you would already have the assumption that Eruhaben is a constellation. He mainly became a constellation so Rok Soo wouldn't be alone but he would never admit that.

His modifier is 'Dragon of Golden Dust', and he is able to give people he sponsors, the ability to manipulate mana, dragon features, and dragon abilities. He mainly sponsors people who he believes would be good with mana.

Before he became a constellation, he would help Rok Soo since Rok Soo was basically on his own quest to save the world even if he denies it. He helps because he believes it's his responsibility as a dragon.

Eruhaben will eventually come to sponsor Rosalyn and Raon. Him and Rok Soo have grown very close after being stuck with each other, with only Gods knowing how long.

The characters in this post, and GaleNation, are part of the lore in the Windscaleverse, you don't have to be part of the Windscale community to make an ask but do keep that in mind. About GaleNation

GaleNation (pronounced Gal - En - Aytion) is a science company spread out in multiple sites across the continents. They frequently do research relating to diseases, wildlife, the ancient times, and the elements, though they have other subjects as well. The company is viewed as a face of the science community, and it's considered an honor to work in their mixed species environment, however, most employees rarely get to leave their sites and are often not seen by friends and family for long periods of time. The CORE site is the central site for GaleNation, all types of research are done within the site, which also holds higher danger entities and experiments, is the final storage place for documents not being publicly released and has all the top scientists of the company within it. It takes a lot of work to get into the site, but many still strive to reach that goal. MOCK is able to shift our perceptions of each member into a consistent species for ease of communication.

In which a robot toddler is dropped off with its dragon grandpa

Link has had enough of the rude robot Scrapper, and decides to hand him over to Lanayru.

“So, Master Shortpants! Will you ever let me play with Mistress Fi, vrrm?”

Link sighs. “I told you, no! Now stop blabbing, we’re almost there!” He flies straight forward on Crimson, with Scrapper close by, over the vast sands of Lanayru Desert.

“Aww, that’s not fair, voo-weep! I can handle a sword just fine, you watch me!”

“I said no, Scrapper.” Ugh! Will this guy ever shut up?!

“Why not, zrrrbt!? Huh?? Am I not old enough or somethin’? Cause I know what I’m doin’! I—“

The Skyloftian glares at the robot. “No. I can’t trust you with a sword. You’ll chop someone’s head off! Or, you’ll drop it and lose it. That sword is too precious for child’s play. And that’s final.” He exhales loudly, relieved that the border of the desert is quickly approaching. A bit longer and he can drop Scrapper off with Lanayru…

“I hate you, Master Shortpants! You won’t let me do anything, zzzazt! You took Mistress Fi away from me! And she was the reason I carried all those stupid things for you, ker-dizzt!”

“Well, I’m sorry, okay?!” Link snaps back. “We’ve been over this!”

“Yeah, and I still hate you, bzzrt! You stink!”

Crimson speeds up a bit, apparently just as tired of the robot’s pointless ranting as the hero. Luckily, Link can make out Lanayru’s yellow robe in the clearing ahead. Just a little longer…

“What, you’re not gonna say anything now, krrboosh-CLANG?!” Scrapper laughs from behind. “Pathetic. There better be a dragon here soon, voo-weep!”

“He’s right there.” Thank Hylia. He doesn’t know how much longer he can stand this. Not only does Scrapper hate his guts already, the robot is also convinced he killed Fi despite many assurances otherwise.

“Wait, what do you mean, bzzzt?” Scrapper pauses before seemingly having noticed Lanayru. “Is that it? The big yellow thing, zrrm?!”

“Yes, that’s him.” They are close enough now that more of the Thunder Dragon’s features come into view. He’s sitting in his usual spot, arms folded across his chest.

“What is that thing, vrrt?! Ew! Is he going to eat me? Please, I don’t want to get eaten, zrrbt!”

“Shh!” Link whisper-shouts, eyes going wide. “Stop that, you idiot! He’ll hear you!”

Now directly over the clearing, he whistles to Crimson—the okay signal for a dismount—and jumps off the Loftwing, holding up his Sailcloth as he falls to slow his descent. He hears a frantic “WHAT ARE YOU DOING??” from Scrapper, who quickly follows.

“Don’t yell like that, I’m fine,” he replies, feet touching the grass. He ties the cloth around his waist as the robot lands next to him, and Lanayru greets him.

“Link! I was just thinking about you, boy! How’ve you been—“

Before the dragon can finish, Scrapper interrupts. “Wow, it’s even weirder close up, zzzrrt! It’s so chubby!”

Lanayru’s eyebrow furrows in confusion. Link gasps and claps a hand over Scrapper’s mouth, utterly horrified.

“Stop that! You do not treat dragon deities that way, do you understand me?! Where are your manners??”

The robot mutters something behind Link’s hand. And Lanayru…A hint of recognition appears in his eyes.

“Oh my Hylia…” The Thunder Dragon mutters. “Is that—?!”

Scrapper slaps Link’s hand away. “LD-301S Scrapper, at your service, voo-weep! Now tell me, what’s with that long beard?”

Link nudges the robot’s side, whispering “Stop it!” Then he glances up at Lanayru. “I must apologize…I believe he’s yours?”

The old dragon is speechless for a moment, holding his hands over his mouth. “I…” He pauses, lowering them and gaping at the flying robot. “…That’s my transport robot! Ah, Lanayru built that thing, Link wonders, wishing for a moment that the dragon never had.

Scrapper flies up so he is just out of the hero’s reach. “Who the fuck are you, bzrrt?!”

“LANGUAGE!” shouts Link. Hylia above, where did he learn THAT word??

“Now, surely you haven’t forgotten me!” Lanayru chuckles deeply, folding his arms across his chest. “But perhaps, I didn’t make you capable of long-term memory like the others.” He sighs. “I was your Master Thunder Dragon. You used to carry things for me, and the other robots. But you took quite a liking to me, I recall.”

“Wait, hold on, vrrrrt! You do look a bit familiar…Oh! I might know your name! You’re named after some goddess out there or something, zrrat!”

The old dragon nods. “Yes, I’m Lanayru. After the goddess Nayru.”

“Lanayru, voo-weep!” Scrapper spins around in the air. “That’s fun to say! Lanayru! Lanayru! Ooh, I need a nickname for you, like I have with Master Shortpants!”

“Master what—?!“ The Thunder Dragon stares at the hero, who simply laughs.

“He’s got quite an attitude,” says Link. “I don’t know where he got it from, but it’s almost as if he was raised by the Water Dragon. He has no manners whatsoever, and it’s infuriating.”

Before Lanayru can respond, Scrapper shouts excitedly. “Ooh! I got it, bzzzt-CLANG! Master Chub-Chub! ‘Cause of that big belly, heehee!”

“Oh boy.” Lanayru sighs again. “No. You are not calling me that.”

“Awww, why not, vrrrpt? You’re no fun! Boring old dragon!” He turns around to glare at Link, presumably for taking him here. The Skyloftian ignores the robot and focuses on the Thunder Dragon.

“Please, Lanayru,” he begs in frustration. “Just take him. I can’t do this.”

“He’s bothering you, I see? My deepest apologies, boy. I will take him off your hands.”

“Oh, thank you.” Link sighs with relief. Thank Hylia, thank Farore, thank them all!

But Scrapper, unfortunately, is too stubborn. “Master Shortpants, you can’t leave me here, vrrrt! It’s weird over here, zrrrbt! There’s nothing to do! And this weirdly familiar dragon is ugly, voo-weep!”

“That’s enough!” Lanayru scolds, throwing his hands in the air. “Don’t you know how to treat your own creator?! Unacceptable! I taught you better than this!”

Link winces, hoping the old dragon hasn’t just changed his mind with the frustration in his words. Where did he get this attitude anyway?, he wonders, staring at Scrapper who spins around impatiently.

“I’m sorry,” he tells Lanayru, “I know I’m asking a lot of you, but…”

“Oh, please. He’s one of mine, you think I would turn him down? Sure, this one’s nothing short of a nuisance, but it’s really nothing I can’t handle.” The Thunder Dragon pauses as Scrapper suddenly flies past Link and toward the dense gathering of trees. “Hey! Scrapper, where are you going?! You get back here!”

The Skyloftian giggles. Just like a fucking toddler. But Lanayru’s face lights up, and Link turns to see several other LD-301 robots emerge to meet Scrapper. Oh, whew. At the very least this may give the stubborn robot a reason to stay, and not follow Link back reluctantly like a whiny remlit.

“Well, let’s hope he gets along with them,” says the hero, as the robots mutter amongst themselves. “And you…do you think he’ll ever remember you?”

Lanayru shrugs. “Perhaps. You never know with robots like him. Although, I’m hoping he does. Then he’ll show respect to me, instead of that ridiculous nickname he just used. Hoo boy…” He lets out a long sigh. “301S has always been a handful. Even back then.”

“Oh, I bet. You know…there is one thing I would like to bring up with you. He, uh…” Link gulps and gazes hesitantly at a waiting Lanayru. “Well, he’s been in ‘love’ with my sword.”

The Thunder Dragon throws his head back in a bellowing laugh. “I—I’m sorry, what?!”

“Yeah, it’s more of the spirit that used to—“

“Hey! Bzzzrt, I heard that!” Scrapper quickly flies back up to them, staying closer to Lanayru this time. Another robot follows through the grass. Oh shit…oops.

“What are you two doin’, talking about me behind my back, zzzzazt?! I’ll have you know Mistress Fi was the most beautiful thing I’ve laid my eye on, vrrrrt!”

Lanayru chuckles, having seemingly understood upon hearing Fi’s name. “Well…okay? How peculiar, Scrapper.”

“Yeah, and she’s gone now, voo-weep! She’s in the sword forever…And I wanted to play with it, zrrrbt!” The robot angrily points at Link. “But this meanie-pants over here said no!”

Link doesn’t bother to argue anymore, scowling teasingly instead. He doesn’t know how many times they’ve been over this already.

“Hey, knock that off.” Lanayru frowns at Scrapper. “You do not treat the chosen hero that way! And he’s right, I won’t let you handle a sword like that. It could seriously hurt someone when used carelessly.” The old dragon folds his arms across his chest. “Are we clear?”

At first the robot says nothing, while Lanayru raises an eyebrow in anticipation. But then he briefly bows forward, out of what looks like respect to his creator.

“Yes, Master Thunder Dragon, bzzzrt!”

Link sighs with relief. It seems that Scrapper is finally remembering after all.

she’s an international big-time con artist who steals(pirates) from local corrupt, rich leaders of different islands through her sea voyaging. she rarely uses the money for herself, but for the purpose of gifting it to the poor people who really need it. it’s a robin hood allegory. she’s very bright and quick-witted. and beats people up if they deserve it most importantly

traveled usually with friends from her home village and sometimes new people met venturing. unironically, very good wayfinder. she can navigate extremely well even without the help of her best friend, who was their ship’s navigator. she did this for 10+ years. the government wishes she would explode.

garp is more or less angry about this but mostly because her bounty would only continue to rise. meaning it’s dangerous. at that point, he’s like “oi sole !! fine! whatever she can handle herself i guess. it’s not like i can stop her !” it’s so funny to me, he can’t control his kid, his grandkids to come, or his son in law who just so happens to be the most wanted criminal in the world 😭 no one listens to him. i’m sure he feels crazy. most of his aiga are considered criminals.

i figured since oda keeps insisting that luffy looks just like garp when he’s young and when he’s older, i thought yeah exactly ! luffy’s the spitting image of his mum too.

her and dragon met on her island when they were young. i’d say around the age 14-16. when they married many years later, dragon took her last name for reasons iykyk

before they married though, her and dragon went voyaging as well. they did many revolutionary missions/undertakings together. even before dragon named the endeavor a “revolutionary army.” this was the beginning.

dragon developed feelings for her and of course, it took her a long while to realize this.

luffy’s mom knows dadan. she’s an old friend of hers. wink wink. this is why garp is familiar with dadan and trusted luffy (and ace)with her.

i’d like to think(i DO think) they gave luffy over to dadan for safety reasons if we’re being honest. this is why luffy probably never saw his biological mom.

i like to paint luffy with a bit of pink in his eyes, a feature his mom and his grandpa garp, and previous maternal family members inherit. notice how gear 5 has pink-reddish eyes too !

after luffy was born she doesn’t scheme as much. things happened. with her bounty it’s not safe to stay in one place, but she does get to relax in her home village on every good occasion. she kinda has to play hopscotch between islands so they won’t be targeted.

Macaque x monkey hybrid reader

Macaque watched the young girl with piqued interest as she dodged her uncle's attacks. She was far faster than a normal human. This he had learned first hand. When she attempted to swipe his lantern two weeks prior.

Macaque observed the conversation between M.k and the little dragon girl for a few minutes from a nearby alleyway. That was until the young girl turned the corner and ran right into him. Her hand slipped into his cloak,unlatched his lantern, and vanished all in under a moment.

"Oh!" The girl gasped feigning a backward stumble. "Forgive me, I didn't see you there."

Macaque felt the urge to kill her for the blatant lie. But something about her eyes made him pause.

"Heh, it's alright, kid." He excused allowing his eyes to drift over her. She wore a thick cloak with a hood that covered the top of her head. Her face held innocent features and breathtaking eyes. He contemplated calling her out and asking, or demanding rather, his lantern. But where was the fun in that?

No, she'd begun this game. He would finish it.

Macaque stepped aside allowing her to pass.

The girl's face quickly turned from innocence to confusion with a hint of guilt.

'Too late for guilt now, kiddo.' Macaque thought with a grin as she passed him.

"Thank y-" The girl turned after he hid in the shadows. She tensed startled when she didn't see him. Then took off in a run.

"So it begins." Macaque chuckled taking off after her but keeping within the shadows.

The girl was faster than he had expected, so he pressed himself slightly to keep pace.

But then she glanced over her shoulder and jumped to a nearby fire escape. Macaque all but skidded to a stop. Now that wasn't possible. Humans couldn't jump that high.

"A demon." He muttered annoyedly. "Should've known."

The girl seemed to move more freely now jumping between buildings and using laundry lines to swing where she couldn't jump.

Finally, she landed in a small temple grounds.

Macaque grinned.

"Rookie mistake, kid." He jumped to the top balcony and swung inside the first room. It was filled with books, ancient and new. "Quite the library." He mused before peeking into the hallway.

The girl's foot steps sounded on the stairs and Macaque hid.

"Grandpa will love this. It's just like the one in the texts. It's gotta be what he needs." She mumbled to herself entering the library and setting the lantern on a desk.

She glanced at a nearby clock and winced.

"I'm late! I gotta start dinner." She rushed from the room and Macaque walked to the lantern. Swiping it from the desk he returned it to it's rightful place.

Her giggles snapped Macaque from the memory and returned his gaze to the training session.

"Y/n!" Her grandfather protested. "Training is serious business. You must be ready."

The girl giggled and dodged a blow but it caught her cloak and the grandfather tugged. The cloak came off and made the girl stumble disoriented.

That was not what caught Macaque's attention. No, it was her ears and tail. They were strikingly similar to his only black with silver streaked fur. Macaque grinned.

"A hybrid, huh?"

The girl sat on the grass as her grandfather lectured her about seriousness or something. Macaque stopped listening. She was almost cute, in a way. The way her ears flicked towards her grandfather indicating her attention was on him, and how her tail curled and uncurled anxiously.

Macaque chuckled and turned away. Tomorrow was her grocery day. That was when he'd have a chat with the girl. Maybe she could be useful.

The next day

You placed the groceries in your book bag with a smile as the store owner chatted about all the wonderful boys she knew. And how lonely you looked. She was a matchmaker for sure, but you weren't much interested. You had your hands full, a relationship would only complicate things.

You waved goodbye and walked towards your home turning into an alleyway. Only, you ran into something firm. Instantly your backpack vanished from your shoulders when you hit the ground.

"Careful, kiddo." A male voice teased.

An upward glance told you it was the stranger you had seen a couple weeks ago.

"Wouldn't wanna crush your groceries." He offered you a hand helping you to your feet.

"Oh thanks." You mumbled taking the backpack from his hand. "You caught on to me last time huh?"

He rose a brow.

"Clever. You were fast, but you have to work on your subtlety."

You huffed with a pout.

"Hey! I've been working on that move for months."

"And you need to keep practicing." The stranger chuckled.

Guilt pricked you.

"Look, I... I'm sorry I took your lantern. Can I buy you some food to make up for it?"

He grinned.
