Introjects are SO much more than "I'm Just that Character!"

Introjects, whether fictive or factive, all have a role they contribute to the system, they have a reason why they exist. Sometimes that is being source connected and an exact copy of their source! BUT THAT ISN'T ALWAYS THE CASE!!!!

To demonstrate what I'm talking about I want you all to meet Shy, Flora and Petalfluff. All three are introjects of the character Fluttershy from My Little Pony. But all three are very very different and the ways they have introjected from Fluttershy is different.

Shy introjects mainly Fluttershy's shy and innocent qualities. He himself scares very easily and his role in the system is to be a childlike part.

Flora introjects Fluttershy's love for animals as well as her assertiveness. Flora does not have any qualities of being shy - to the point where sometimes she says it's like she's introjected from Mean Fluttershy. Because of her fierceness, Flora is a protector in the system.

Petalfluff introjects the well roundness of Fluttershy's character, the assertiveness when she needs to but also the timidness. The most important part of what Petalfluff introjects is Fluttershy's ability to be kind and see the best in the world. She's hopeful and encourages us to always take the route of kindness. Petalfluff's role in the system is housekeeper.

Introjects rely on perception, and as you can see for a multi-faceted character or person there can be multiple different perceptions. Introjects themselves are multi-faceted and there's so much more under the surface than what a lot of people think.

The brain is simply taking some, or all, traits from a pre-existing character or person in an event of stress or trauma in order to benefit the well-being of the overall system. If you are an introject and are super source connected! That's so cool, a bunch of our introjects are also source connected! Just know that isn't always the case :)

Do any other systems look a certain parts of they're system and go "ohh yeah that makes sense!"

I feel like there can be a lot of confusion and mystery surrounding why some parts of your system are the way they are like having certain introjects or species or accents with alters or things in your innerworld that don't make a lot of sense to you. But do you ever have some parts that are really obvious and make a lot of sense? Like "oh of course we have that alter!","ofcourse are innerworld looks like this" or "of course that alter is like this"

Like of course we have a fluttershy fictive. My Little Pony was our special interest since like birth, fluttershy has always been our favourite in friendship is magic and we've always identified with her heavily as an autistic kid with severe anxiety and an obsession with animals which our peers bullied us over. We also lost our rabbit named Angel (like fluttershy's rabbit) in middle school the same time she split and she carries a lot of the grief and guilt surrounding that. It'd honestly be weird if we didn't have Flora around.

And then there's me (Aggie, hello!) A massive white tiger and mother figure to many alters in the system. We were also obsessed with white tigers as a kid, long before we discovered the sad truth behind them that left us heartbroken. We still have all of our many white tiger plushies and things, the first one we got as a baby we named Aggie (hmm sound familiar?) Which was also the name of our first cat, so that's three feline Aggies in our life haha. We are also a huge studio ghibli fan, one of the first ghibli movies we watched was Princess mononoke which is overall our favourite we identified heavily with San, a human girl raised by a huge talking wolf and as someone who hated most humans and loved animals we wished we could be like her raised by animals. So here I am the "system mom" a huge talking tiger. And it just makes sense.

let's be real, the brain is a very peculiar creature and it really just... does whatever it wants. discourse regarding whether you can have introjects from the same source or multi-source introjects is really dumb because yes of course you can!

and we personally have quite a few introjects from the same source (and sometimes the same character)! i wanted to share our top three :3

as you can see we tend to get many introjects from the same media and the reason for that is simply because we interact with it most and they are fully fleshed out characters who have flaws and many traits that the brain can introject off of!

as for multi-source introjects we have Milkyway and Eileen! Milkyway is an introject of Raana Kaname and Cinnamaroll whilst Eileen is an introject of Eli Ayase and Nozomi Tojo! In these cases the brain decided that traits from a singular character wouldn't be beneficial to us and instead used traits from two characters in order to help our system the best it can!

It may be pretty crazy that we have a whole ass stable (/j) in our system but when you think about how we interact with this media constantly on a daily basis - it makes sense!

16/10/2024 - Today's Mood is Okie!

Soooo 🌻 Today we were sick! But I think we are feeling better and can go to work tomorrow! Yay! We did not go to work today but tomorrow is a new day so that's okay!

We did therapy! Talked about a lot of bad things that happened but now our therapist knows everything that happened and I think it will help for future sessions! It was a good session!

I made my appearance for the first time today, I'm Flora! Still not sure if I am a fictional introject of Fluttershy or just inspired! I drew what I look like which was lots of fun! Rainbow got to play PinnochioP songs with Athena on PJSK and I heard they had a lot of fun! Rainbow also got to draw Hatsune Miku! It turned out really cute 🪻

I know there's still bad things at play, like the obsessive checking of r/SystemCringe and always in defense mode online but we are making baby steps! And baby steps are better than no steps at all 😁 I think that covered everything!

☆Systober Day 9: First Introject☆

Our first introject was Flora from winx club. We think she formed around age 8. She has since fused and I never had any conscious awareness of her. She fused with a Fluttershy introject around middle school. Both of these characters were comfort characters when we were little and I assume thats why those parts were created.

They fused to create Amy who was the primary caretaker when system discovery happened. Amy then also fused with an part/fragment named Fairy to create Lydia our current primary caretaker. Lydia 🌷, she/her, does not identify as a fictive and doesnt have any particular connection to those sources. She does have some influences from them, being soft spoken and loving nature and animals.

Lydia helps a lot with anxiety and calming the body down during episodes of distress. When she can she enjoys sewing and making crafts, also being outside.
