Could u explain the catwoman AU ? I’ve seen some doodles that u posted ab it but I didn’t understand it😓

i might as well make a general post about it now so!!! if you don't wanna know anything before going in when it's eventually one day posted, don't click below!

Peter has just been bitten by the spider and ran away from his last foster house (like a few months i think?), and he gets caught up in some wacky shenanigans while trying to spider-man for the first time. he ends up stuck in Gotham, and while trying to configure a way to get back home (read: stealing from a bunch of people and having some pretty loose morals because he hasn't had his moment of clarity about revenge on the man who murdered Uncle Ben), Peter meets Selina and Tim (still debating on if to call him Stray or something else), who became Catwoman's partner instead of becoming Robin. (meaning that this is an au of an au lol). Selina is sort of used to the whole teaching thing by now and thinks Peter is funny, so she basically tricks him into being her student, and then tricks him into living with her. AKA Selina brings home the most feral cat she's ever found.

Peter starts going to Gotham Academy upon Selina's insistence that he continue school, and he meets Damian and Maps there. Damian is very suspicious of Peter, but the two of them keep getting pulled into Maps' stuff and find out they're a pretty good team. I think Bruce meets Peter at some school events too and I have some very funny plans for that.

Peter is still Dick's kid from another universe because i can't separate them now... maybe in one au they won't be but i just feel like i'm breaking up a real family if i do that... anyways, Tim figures that out first. and he's like, Dick Grayson's biggest fan, of course, so he's determined to befriend Grayson 2.0 before the Bats can (it works). Tim's dynamic in this fic is that the Bats know he figured out their identities and they work together often, but they don't know his identity. Bruce and Tim have like silently agreed that it's only fair Bruce gets a chance to figure out his identity, too, and so Tim hasn't been adopted yet because Tim is just as overcompetitive as Bruce can be

the entire fic, Peter will be struggling about his reasons for wanting to go back (there will be no glitching in this au), because he doesn't really have one, outside of emotional reasons. he's never met the Avengers, he doesn't have any living family members, etc. but his family is buried there, and what if there's something he's missing? he's also struggling with Ben's death being his fault (his foster history will be different here) and Bruce will be a central player in that arc
