Danny's life had been going well, his parents had accepted his Ghost Half, Dash is less of an asshole and is trying to better himself, same for Vlad, and Dan had reformed! That's when things began to go south. The world around Danny began to crumble around him and the Halfa tried to save as many people as he could.

He could only save three people... Jazz, Dash and Wes... he tried to save others... they were killed before he could even reach them. And when Danny found out that the Observants were the cause of his world being destroyed? He attacked them, nearly wiped them out, it took the might of Dan, Dani and Vlad to hold him back and get him back to his senses.

Vlad was trusted to be Regent while Danny grows up, as he is too young to inherit the Throne of the Ghost King, Clockwork even found a dimension that Danny, Dani, Jazz, Dash and Wes could live in, it's similar enough to theirs that they wouldn't destabilize the dimension by being in it.

Dan remains with Vlad to protect him, while Fright Knight goes with Danny to protect him. They were set up with a good apartment to live in which is located in a city called Gotham, as it's the only city they have learned that allows minors to live in the apartment if their adult guardian(s) give the information themselves.

All four of them are going to Gotham University, paid for with Danny's fortune he inherited with the Ghost King title. Jazz is in Psychology, Danny is in Aerospace, Engineering and Programming, Programming because he wants to remember Tucker in a way, he'salso got the smarts for it, he even helps take care of plants to remember Sam, Dash is obviously going for a sports major, and Wes is living in Gotham, but going to Metropolis for his journalism.

Things have been going well, but there are people snooping around them, they don't know it, but Danny is an Alternate Jason, Dash is an Alternate Oliver Queen, Wes is an Alternate Wally, and Jazz is an Alternate Barbara, and Danny knows that the Heroes are snooping around them, because he can feel them entering his temporary Haunt.

A Brothers Reunion

The small summoning circle lit up, casting a soft green glow, as two eyes watched it with weary hope.

Two demons argued violently about a soul, and Danny sighed from his spot on the throne that fully claimed him a month ago. While he still found it hilarious how thoroughly this guy managed to swindle so many of the high ranking demons, it had started to cross into annoying territory. Danny was seriously considering making a whole office dedicated specifically to hold all the paperwork one ‘John Constantine’ was seemingly generating with his very presence. Suddenly, Danny felt a soft tug on his core, much gentler then the summoning rituals of all those crazy cultists that keep popping out of nowhere used. More like the circles he gave to Sam Tucker or Jazz. But he could feel the summoner’s emotions, and the poor guy on the other end felt like he was about to cry.

Danny mentally went through everyone he’s given his personal line to. Then, he shot up and called for Fright Knight to send the demons away while Danny quickly allowed himself to be pulled through the summoning circle to where his brother waited anxiously.

The circle flared, and a large eldrich like figure quickly crawled through. Then, a very familiar voice muttered

“Man I wish these things weren’t so dramatic. I already scared the shit out of the justice league because of it” as the being’s form shifted to the more familiar form he took when seeing Damian for the first time in a decade. His white hair looked a little longer now, and his eyes a less toxic green.

“Danyal” Damian said stiffly. Danny looked up, making eye contact with Damian before responding

“Damian” in response Damian lunged, pressing a blade to Danny’s neck before asking a question only Danny could answer.

“What’s the last story you told me?” Danny simply smiled nostalgically,

“There’s the Damian I know. I told you about Canis Minor 16 days before I died the first time.” Damian heasitated before putting away his weapon and paused before he quickly started to hug Danny, who returned the hug.

“… first time?” Damian asked, still in Danny’s arms.

“Mother didn’t tell you what happened to me after, did she?” Danny asked into his twins hair. Damian didn’t even bother to say anything and just turned his head to look at Danny balefully, before Danny sighed and said

“Of course she didn’t. I was dunked into the Lazarus pits, before mother dropped me off in the middle of nowhere America, where she forbade me from ever talking about my old life or ever attempting to contact you.” Damian paused to process this, before saying

“And the second time?” Danny sighed at that, his face set into a grimace. Damian started to move, bringing Danyal over to his bed, where Danny realized Damian had summoned Danny in his room. Damian sat them both onto his bed, and curled further into Danny’s arms, while gesturing to continue.

“I was adopted by a couple who claimed to be ‘ectobiologists’ who already had an older daughter named Jazz. She’s my sister.” Damian nodded solemnly at that, mentally adding ‘Jazz’ to his list of siblings. Danny pulled out his brick of a phone and started showing Damian pictures of his adoptive parents, his sister and everything else as he spoke about it. “They’d been working on a project in their lab since before they adopted me, longer then they’re had Jazz even. When I was fourteen, they finally tried to turn it on. It failed. It was a portal to what they called ‘The Ghost Zone’, but that realm is much more. The Infinite Realms are the glue that holds all universes together, and its a kind of afterlife. They didn’t know half of that, only that some souls of humans who died stay there, and even then, they thought that these ghosts were only a husk of their former selves, and couldn’t feel pain.” Damian started to connect the dots at that and asked

“You’re one of these ghosts?” It was almost a statement, but Damian wasn’t going to make many assumptions. Danny nodded before continuing

“I had two friends who convinced me to show them the failed portal. I walked inside of the portal we assumed was completely defunct, and I tripped over one of the many wires on the floor. When I tried to stabilize myself, I hit the on button.” Damian’s eyes widened, and he froze while Danny paused. After a moment, Danny continued, saying “My adoptive parents had connected the portal to the towns power grid, and the portal opened up on top of me. Electricity and ectoplasm, what ghosts and the Infinite Realms are made of, clashed inside my body, killing me and reviving me repeatedly until the portal finally spit me back out. I only half died that day.” Danny put his phone away and focused on playing with Damian’s hair. Damian reveled in his brothers affectionate touch like when they were small.

“Half?” Damian asks after a minute or two.

“Half. I technically have several ghost forms, and I have a human form” Damian looked up from Danyal’s arms, his eyes asking the obvious question he was a little afraid to ask, though he’d never admit it. Danny smiled at the unasked question, and rings of light formed around him, before dissipating and revealing a very much alive eighteen year old Danyal Nightingale. He grabbed one of Damian’s hands and pressed it against his neck, allowing Damian to revel in feeling his former dead brother’s pulse. Damian tested Danny’s wrist, and put his ear against Danny’s now warm chest.

Damian will deny the appearance of tears to his death, but Danny didn’t say anything, he just held Damian closer. After a while Danyal started to talk about the stars. Filling the silence with quiet but passionate rambling about stars and space. It was familiar. It was safe and warm and then Richard ruined the moment by slamming open Damian’s door yelling about a ‘Family Game Night’ and got a knife for his troubles. Of course he dodged with practiced ease, but then he realized Damian wasn’t alone in his room. Time seemed to freeze at the stand off. Dick had frozen, as the joy on his face seemed to leach away at the realization that there was an intruder.

I am back with my Dadknight bullshit after procrastinating on the Danny Phantom fandom for so long-

Anyway, you know that feeling of putting so many headcanons on a character that they become another character?

Me @Fright Knight.

I will separate this into 4 "Acts".

His Childhood, his Adulthood, his ghostly afterlife, and his servitude under his kings.

1. His Childhood

Fright Knight or Ferdinand (the beautiful name @jadenoryuu came up with a few months ago) was raised by his older sister after their mother died during childbirth and his father died of an infection.

He also had 6 younger siblings, though only 2 of them survived past the age of 10.

(What can I say? Dark age and all of that.)

From a very young age, he had to help his sister with raising their siblings and spend most of his time working in the fields of a minor noble to ease their debt of living on his land.

Despite his rough upbringing, he used to be a cheerful child.

He liked to create fairy tales and stories to make others happy.

Then, at the ripe age of 13, small but bloody battles started to happen around the borders of the minor noble, as another blue-blooded idiot had taken his place and now wanted to expand his lands.

It's important to say that said noble couldn't count on his fellow nobles to help him and also didn't want to lose parts of his lands.

So he did the unorthodox thing and gave his workers and villagers weapons.

It was a stupid thing to do, but he was able to manipulate his men into thinking that this was for their own protection.

Ferdinand was 14 when he killed for the first time.

As the battles became more violent, it happened again and again, till his hands stopped shaking whenever he had to use the sword and people started to see him as a ruthless monster.

He was 16 when this battle stopped for him after he was sold by the noble to a group of mercenaries, who saw his "talent" at killing other people.

There, he was given some actual training with the sword, learned to ride a horse, and even the basics of reading and writing.

It was pretty much the best thing that could have happened to him, even if it meant that he never saw any of his siblings ever again.

2. His Adulthood

Ferdinand spent most of his adult life as a hired blade for various nobles and as such backstabbed his way into infamy.

As long as you could pay the price, he'd do any deed for you.

(Most of his earned money still went to the group that trained, fed, and clothed him)

It was only after he was 29 that he found his permanent Master in the form of an equally infamous noble that he was supposed to kill.

He wasn't able to assassinate him and when he was at the end of the others blade, he had taken a liking to him.

The noble paid off his debt to the Mercenary group and made him his knight, which was a great honor to a lowborn man like him.

Ferdinand looked up to that noble.

He was strong. Stronger than himself and anyone he ever had to work for, unlike the other, fearful and weak nobles.

He was also kind, despite being known as a cruel ruler.

Ferdinand was allowed to read and create stories and poems.

Nightmare stems from one of them. She was originally a creature that he had created as a child to help his siblings fall asleep.

An Alicorn that appeared to those with the purest of hearts, turned into a being of Ruthlessness that hunts down those who stand in her way by the trauma he had gone through in his life.

He died in battle at the age of 35, after his ruler turned his back on him, to flee against the lowborn villagers that revolted against him.

3. His ghostly Afterlife

He formed because of his obsession to find a master who is strong and wouldn't turn their back on their subordinates.

Ferdinand spent most of his time tearing down and destroying ghost after ghost to find that master, giving him the name Fright Knight.

Due to this unrelenting fighting, he became strong enough to create Nightmare into reality.

4. His servitude under his Kings

Pariah Dark was the first ghost that was able to beat him and he started to follow him like he did with his former master when he was alive.

It was comfortable for him.

Easy.

It was his King that gave him the soul shredder and he did like to fight alongside him.

But he was also more than aware that he did not care for him or anyone else outside of their power.

After all, there were times when he forced his hand with his crown of fire and ring of rage.

After Pariah Dark was sealed away, the same fate awaited him in the form of a pumpkin, a throwback to his beginnings as a farm worker.

Meeting his current King for the first time was an... event.

Having the gift of his former king stolen from him was worse than the joy of getting free.

He ended up defeated, sealed back, by him and it made him furious.

How could someone so young and foolish do that to him?

Somehow, he was more angry about not getting a real fight against him and wanted to remedy this.

Because there is a difference between losing a battle and getting tricked.

This was abandoned after Vlad promised him a way to free his (former) King.

So he decided to follow him and train that potential.

Then that kid showed up again, beating not only him and his army but also his king, solidifying his potential over them.

This boy could become a real monster, if someone trained him, similar to how the group of mercenaries had helped him become one.

His King wasn't amused about this in the beginning, not trusting him for the things he had done before.

But he didn't have a chance, because he needed more allies in the ghost world and Fright Knight was a powerful creature.

This is it for this post! I hope that I was able to build a okish backstory for him.

I will make another one detailing more of his relationships between Danny, the rest of the everlasting trio, Jazz, Dani and Mr Lancer.

A lot of the bs given to us in the show can be explained using a few throwaway lines or (more commonly) a handful of theories that tie the whole thing together T_T

disclaimer: I dabble in science and such but this is all theory and speculation, and should be taken with a grain of salt. If any of the information is factually incorrect as far as anyone can tell, please do not hesitate to call out on it.

I'll be working in the order of the tags screenshotted above mostly, staring with Pariah Dark. I'll be coming back to Dan later since it's mentioned both at the beginning of the tag list and later towards the middle-end. The instances mentioned in OP's list will be included here and there. Pariah Dark and related segments; keyword: pariah_dark

Personally speaking, I don't think the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms needs a specific ruler, or ever had one. Pariah Dark was most likely a stray ghost that was set on gaining power and having control over the realm. We've seen other characters with similar desires (Vlad with ruling earth, Technus trying to take over the world, etc.) and it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that this was the case with Pariah Dark as well.

No one knows how old Pariah Dark really is, but we do know he's old as fuck. If he succeeded in taking over (most of) the Ghost Zone, and reigned as the supposed king for some length of time, then the realm would have adapted as such and so would its inhabitants. This would explain why Fright Knight flocked to Pariah Dark's side so easily, for he would have been in that position way back when Pariah Dark appointed himself as the king of the Ghost Zone.

My theory as to why he's so strong comes from two sources: The first one being the amount of time he's spent being a ghost and the strong emotions/desire to be conqueror of the Ghost Zone. This plays into ghost anatomy a bit (which will be explained a bit later), but to shorten it, the stronger a ghost's emotions and such are, the stronger the ghost themself is. Being a ghost for longer means that Pariah Dark would have had the adequate time to learn the powers he has and perfect them.

The second reason also ties into ghost anatomy, but in a different way. Another reason Pariah Dark is so strong could be caused by him consuming other ghosts (their cores). This is where speculation gets heavy considering absolutely none of this is talked about in canon ever. I theorize that all ghosts can merge cores, but it's just a super taboo/horrid thing to ghosts--almost like how humans see cannibalism. Dan grew much stronger than Danny or Vlad and he was a combination of the two ghosts' cores. Similarly, Pariah Dark could have consumed a bunch of weaker ghost cores and fused them into his own. If his was stronger (for the reason stated before this one), then I don't think it would have changed him much. The only change I do think would have occured is that it made him more vicious, violent, and emotional, which only helped him further his goals. This all will be expanded more when talking about ghost anatomy, btw.

The physics and such of the Ghost Zone; keyword: GZphysics

The Ghost Zone is mentioned as the Infinite Realms a handful of times, and is honestly the name I prefer to use for it lol. There isn't any character that calls it this continuously, but I think it's a better name when you consider what exactly it's used for. I think of the Infinite Realms more as a hub for people to transverse in, and ghosts happen to find it the easiest. We know that portals that open in the Ghost Zone can lead to any place and any time, so using the realm itself as a connector between places, realms, and times make a lot of sense to me. This also explains why figures such as Clockwork and the Observants operate in the Infinite Realms. Think of it like a commonly frequented gas station, basically. Kind of. I've never taken in a gas station before idk.

The Infinite Realms is also called the Ghost Zone because of how it's basically a home to ghosts now. This is most likely because of it's property of naturally producing and housing ectoplasm, something that forms ghosts and keeps them stable. This would cause a slow shift in names and thus, it's now called the Ghost Zone. (This aligns with only the older ghostly figures calling it the Infinite Realms).

I'm also going to talk about the observants here, since they're also a pivotal part of the Ghost Zone's workings imo. I consider them a bunch of overseers or psychics maybe, and the ghosts of such. They work with Clockwork to make sure everything goes smoothly in the context of present and future and the workings of the world (which is really just Clockwork's job but I guess they have some sort of moral standing and whatnot). Maybe they update him on things via ghost mail. Their origins could be from any dimension, any time, as long as the basis is someone who has history as a seer/psychic (an actual one, which isn't ghost related and more of a divine blessing i guess).

Ghostly anatomy, my favorite! keyword: ghost_anatomy

I love exploring ghost anatomy because biology and anatomy & physiology is a favorite of mine lol. Anyways I won't be covering every topic on ghost anatomy, just the ones mentioned in the original post and first reblog, and the ones that are needed to clarify things I've said throughout this word vomit.

To make this easier, I'm going to explain how I think a ghost is formed, because that's probably going to come in somewhere and I do like a nice preparation before everything else. A ghost is formed when a person dies with heavy emotion and desire. This would be someone who has heavy regrets, someone who experiences strong feelings upon death, or someone who strongly believes they still have unfinished business. To form a ghost, there also needs to be ambient ectoplasm in the area that ties to the emotions formed upon death, thus creating a ghost. Ectoplasm in canon is seen as a glowing, neon green, viscous substance in canon. Properties of ectoplasm would be numerous, but one of them is reacting to strong emotions (this would be because of electrical waves and such, I'm assuming. Perhaps ectoplasm is a good conductor?)

Once these two criteria have been met, a ghost can form! The amount of ectoplasm and the strength of emotions upon death determine how strong and cohesive the ghost is, which is why a lot of the ghosts we see Danny engage and interact with (Ember, Skulker, Desiree, Technus, Johnny 13 + Kitty, etc.) have strong emotions and strong desires, with leads us to obsessions. Minor ghosts (ecto-pi and blob ghosts) are either strong emotions and weak ectoplasm, or strong ectoplasm and weak emotions.

A ghost's obsession forms in relation to their how they died, their emotions upon death, and strong interests/obsessions during their life. These are the kinds of things people tend to flick through during their 'last moments,' so it makes sense as to how it ties in to their ghostly obsession. Taking Ember as an example, her death isn't expanded on (like many other ghosts), but we can assume it was with her dying in a fire (assuming since her hair is fiery). Her obsession tends to do with music and being remembered (as can be seen by her song, Remember), so one can draw the conclusion that her interests were that of music, and her emotions and dying thoughts were those of wanting to be remembered, causing her obsession. This line of thought confuses me a lot when thinking about the box ghost, lmao.

Ghost cores are the points in which ectoplasm is at its strongest power, and is where the fundamental basis of a ghost is stored. Think of it as the 'soul' of a ghost, while the body is ectoplasm. They naturally produce ectoplasm after being formed, and the ectoplasm of a ghost has its own signature, like a fingerprint. Core affinities (like Danny's ice core) could be affected by personality, or simply by environment and random chance. There isn't a specific reason as to why Danny has an ice core, but Frostbite mentions that a lot of his people have ice cores, which makes me think the cause may be environmental. I still don't know why Danny's core is ice, since there weren't any icy things in his environment upon death except perhaps coolant for the portal or other lab equipment.

Ghost cores can merge, as they're just points of condensed power. It would be like merging two stars, however. Or galaxies. Very explosive, and the result destroys a couple things there, such as some of the 'soul' being held in the core. Some of it is destroyed while more takes its place, somewhat 'fusing' the cores and its power. Since a ghost is made with strong emotions as well as ectoplasm, this would make a fused ghost more emotional as well as strong. I assume that attempting fusion may risk destruction of both ghost cores, which also explains why many ghosts don't talk about it or try it more often in canon.

The tags in the first reblog talk about ghosts aging and having kids and such, to which I think the aging in true ghosts comes from self perception (also affects things like Vlad's ectoplasm not being green i think). The human aging of a half-ghost would occur until mature, but there wouldn't be any cell death, and thus growing old, since those cells aren't exactly alive. Peak physical state forever! Vlad looks like he's in his 20s because of this. Same with Danny in a few years. As for children (think Box Lunch), those would be formed out of strong emotions (think love) and a minor ghost, most likely (like a blog ghost). Adopt and grow, kind of. As well as feeding ambient ectoplasm produced by the parent ghost(s) to the child, thereby cultivating the child into a ghost and growing it as such until it becomes a ghost of its own.

Ghosts that aren't exactly ghosts (halfas, gods, etc); keyword: deviant_ghosts

A have a post on half-ghosts here, but to summarize, half ghosts are actually full ghosts with the power of turning alive due to the nature of their death, which was just a whole bunch of ectoplasm and strong emotions of a violent death. Their ability to turn alive comes from the fact that their whole body was present during their death, and easily malleable, and there was a lot of ectoplasm and it's a whole thing. They're just ghosts with the power to turn alive.

Gods and such (including entities like Clockwork and Frostbite) could be formed by belief of said ghosts (very iffy but works in a pinch) or through the concept of sacrificing other beings. A lot of gods and such are provided sacrifices to appease them, and the combination of those deaths could come together to form a being. This would also work with beings devoted to certain figures (think a priest, maybe). Clockwork can be thought of as the god of time (present in many religions), thus letting this work for them. This would also work with many monsters and cryptids due to the fact that some people do worship those beings, and many believe that that is their death, leading them to the end result of beings like Frostbite (based off yetis, I think). Or perhaps mothman.

I'm expanding more on Clockwork since their entire schtick is confusing. They haven't existed forever, in my opinion. As explained earlier, they were created through the actions of other people, which wouldn't have been that far back in history, in the scale of everything. However, the Infinite Realms can access any location, any dimension, and more importantly any time. This allows them to act from very early points of time, essentially creating a paradox. (???)

I've covered several points related to Dan in this post already, but to summarize his creation: he was created by fusing the cores of Phantom and Plasmius, creating a stronger and more emotion-driven/violent ghost, while eliminating some features that made Phantom and Plasmius their own selves. After the events of The Ultimate Enemy, Dan exists outside of time, as his timeline and outcome is erased, but he still exists thanks to Clockwork. After the events of A Glitch in Time, Dan now uses one of Vlad's Danny-clones as a vessel for himself in the current timeline. I'm not sure what exactly the user in the tags meant when they said "the ENTIRE thing with dan," but I tried my best to summarize it.

Danielle !!!! keyword: dani_expo

Dani is the product of Vlad's experimentation to try and clone Danny. Not sure what exactly he did in his lab, but he tried to create a stable half-ghost body. I'm going to assume that to do this he found a few stable and/or strong ghosts, got a copy of Danny's ecto-signature, and tried to align the signatures of the existing ghosts to Danny's signature. There were probably a few cosmetic changes as well to the bodies, which I'm not sure where he acquired those from, but let's assume they were just rapidly growing cell cultures he either had on him for some reason or acquired through dubious means.

The core of ghosts made like this would be very unstable, as they would be heavily tampered with and destabilize. Danielle's existence is mostly a stroke of luck that she didn't turn into goop within seconds of being tampered with. this also explains why she needs the ecto-dejecto to survive, as it strengthens the core (think steroids).

Dani's human half isn't really a human half, I'm pretty sure. It's just very complex shapeshifting, similar to what Spectra can do. She can't acquire a human half like Danny or Vlad because she never had a solid one to begin with. Danny and Vlad's deaths with their respective portals allowed for their ghosts to utilize their human remains instantaneously. Dani did not have this opportunity. Because of this, her experiences with aging will likely be much different, and more focused on perception than actual biological growth.

Time to figure out Vlad's problem; keyword: dalvco

Can you believe this guy named his company after his own name backwards? Vlad -> dalV. Come on man. Anyways, Vlad is an emotionally driven person, considering his ghostly nature. This also applies to Danny. Because of this, many of his actions and beliefs and such are boosted to seem much more significant than they are. One example is his hatred for Jack and his desire to kill him. He doesn't actually want him dead, I think. If he did, he would have killed him ages ago. He does, however, harbour a hatred for the man and blames him for his own death. His obsession with Maddie is also not as strong as he thinks it is. It used to be more of an idle infatuation that morphed into a full-blown obsession. I think his true obsession is related to that of wanting a family, or a sense of connection and such, which is also why he focuses on wanting Danny as a son-figure. His evil deed and such are just his character though. I think he wanted drew away from ecto-science once his portal accident happened, and he then went into business, did his little schtick, probably committed a few crimes, the whole thing.

The reality gauntlet, the christmas truce, etc.; keyword: minor/other

The christmas truce may have just been the ghosts starting it among a few people, then it grew into a larger tradition, much like how we humans spread holidays and traditions and such between ourselves. It would have taken a long time, but it makes sense.

The reality gauntlet is (quite obviously) a parody of Marvel's Infinity gauntlet, which is somewhat hilarious to me. I think the gauntlet wasn't present originally in canon. It's probably a much more recent development that another Marvel fan (in universe) created after learning of the stones, which probably also had different names.

The stones themselves are most likely some sort of ghostly artifact, similar to the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Rage. Its origins are probably lost to time, and are most likely sourced from some sort of cosmic entity that no longer dabbles in the present time.

A few other things are immortality among ghosts and 'halfas' (i'm pretty sure it was used as a slur by Poindexter originally, but idk). Assuming a ghost 'dies' when it's emotions are quelled/calmed and the ectoplasm holding them together dissipates, ghosts will not die as long as they act upon their obsessions/emotions and have contact with the Ghost Zone every once in a while. Half-ghosts would take longer to dissipate because of how much ectoplasm was used to make them. Suffice to say, they could be immortal if they wanted to, but even if they stayed out of the Ghost Zone, they would be alive for a very, very long time.

Last thing I'm gonna talk about is the mass mind-wiping/mind control exhibited by Freakshow and mentioned in the tag screenshot above. I'm pretty sure that was a ghost helping him out, or perhaps the staff he used was a ghostly artifact/infused with ghost energy. Honestly the show confuses me too lol.

Danny and fright knight (yea i know)

I think adter danny becomes ghost king fright knight would accept him with open arms, he's proven time amd time again to be facing stronger and morw experienced ghosts and still win, himself included.

So yeah, he has a great deal of respect for him, and just like the king before, he swears his loyalty to him.

But it dosent go as planned when, wjen fright knight did swear his loyalty to danny he gained knowledge of how long dannys been a ghost, how long he's been in existence, how much he's never been told about the ghost zone.

(danny is a minor and as the kings right hand man he needs to prepare him, so if a minor becomes king-to-be all this information gets deposited into his brain, this isn't just danny, theres just never been a minor as king, human or ghost)

Fright knight is shocked, amazed, pissed, and concerned.

Shocked that aomeone so young, not only defeated him and became king, but he deals with the struggels of having human responsibilities and dealing with getting attacked twice a day

Amazed that he could handel it, and even take it in stride, he adapted to being a ghost faster than anyone he's ever seen and adapted to the revolving wheel of enemy's, he rolls with the punches and still gets up

Pissed that they, KNOWING, still decided to make his life harded and not give him ANY information of the ghost zone! Yes he breaks rules and traditions, but thats because NOBODY TOLD HIM! he's going on a little spree tonight.

And concerned that danny dose roll with the punches, he dosent quit, stop or even hesitate, he was throwen into different world with no help and gets attacked constantly, yet he dosent quit.

Fright knight, has developed complicated feeling over danny becoming ghost king, and that he has so little information on the ghost zone.

It was Wednesday so fright knight decided to wait till Saturday to talk to the future king, help him with his responsibilities and give him a helping hand in his afterlife.

But that means he has 3 days before he has to do anything. He wonders how much time he could give to each individual who has harmed his future king.

Danny dragged his feet to the kitchen to fetch himself a glass of water. This time, he wasn't deprived of any sleep; he'd snored his way through the entire afternoon after a particularly long morning of attending to kingly duties.

He threaded his fingers through his hair. The day marked four months since he had last heard from his mother. Her last letter had informed him about the situation of the League: the members had split into two main factions, one in support of a new leader and one in support of Talia and Nyssa's current rule. Talia never made her letters lengthy or personal, but Danny found comfort in receiving them. It told him that his mother was at least alive. 

The hairs on the back of his head abruptly stood on end when he sensed a presence by the kitchen table. 

"Dani, I told you to tell me first before you suddenly drop by," he sighed. 

But when he was met with no snark, no reply, he whipped around to see an unexpected guest. "Amira? What are you doing here?" 

Marinette gave him a gentle smile. "Sorry, I just . . . I needed to see you. It's been four months." 

"Since the letters." Danny moved around the kitchen to prepare hot drinks for the both of them. 

"Yeah." Marinette cast her gaze down. "I can't really visit Damian without compromising our identities so I thought I should come to you." 

Danny shared her sentiments. He already had half the mind to fly to Paris or Gotham out of paranoia but held back, thinking of it as a reckless move. But he was more than relieved to have his sister visit. 

He repeated the words from the last letter. "The League is split into two factions. She's probably occupied with that, right?" 

"I imagine she's taking precautions so the other faction cannot trace us." 

Excuses to reassure themselves. Danny had already known the fact that death was inevitable for any of them—they were a family of assassins after all. But he didn't know if he'd be able to accept it when it did happen. He swallowed down the bitter lump in his throat. Cross the bridge when you get there. Don't think about that right now. 

He took the steaming mugs of coffee, handing Marinette one much to her delight. He wasn't unfamiliar with her addiction to caffeine but he had the same tendencies so he was happy to indulge her. 

"Are you sure it's okay for me to stay here?" Marinette shot a wary look at the stairs leading up to the bedrooms. 

"Don't worry, Mom and Dad can't be woken up even if there's a ghost and Jazz just pulled an all nighter so she's knocked out," Danny explained and Marinette hummed in reply. 

He often wondered if she felt any different shifting into a new family. In his first days with the Fentons, there was a strange feeling accompanied by being the youngest as a transition from being one of a set of triplets. 

"Is there anything bothering you?" asked Marinette, sipping on her drink. Translation: has anyone targeted you? 

"Nothing really. The usual," he shrugged. "Ember, Technus, Fright Knight. They're minor inconveniences at this point. What about you?"  

"Hawkmoth's still Hawkmoth," said Marinette. "But, um, my partner and I are handling things better. We're together now." 

Danny made a mental note to arrange a shovel talk later on when he saw a pink blush dusting her cheeks.  

"I'm worried about you," he confessed, "I was thinking . . . Rogues will always be in Gotham and ghosts won't cease to exist here but you—you can defeat the villain in your city. There's an end to his reign. If we can help out in uncovering his identity, Paris will be at peace again." 

"It's too dangerous. I'm sorry, akhi." 

Danny took a sip from his cup. Just like that, his help was turned down. 

With his luck, footsteps sounded from the staircase. He scrambled to get Marinette into a hiding place but she was faster, effortlessly slipping inside a cabinet. Danny had just enough time to push back her chair and bring her mug next to his when Jack entered the kitchen. 

"Whatcha you doing up, son?" Jack asked. Danny pretended not to notice that his adoptive father was all geared up. 

"Can't sleep." Danny forced out a faux smile. "It's nothing bad." 

"Why do you have two cups of coffee?" 

"Uhmmm, I like to have an extra just in case." He pulled the other mug closer to his. 

Thankfully, Jack didn't seem to think twice about it. "Well, your mom and I are driving over to Springfield. One of our ghost sensors went off there and we're gonna test our newest invention!" 

"You're going right now? At this hour?" Another ghost-hunting trip. What did he expect? 

"Yup!" As if on cue, more footsteps padded down the stairs. Most likely it was Maddie, who was loading their equipment into the truck. "Who knows, we might be able to catch that sneaky Phantom!" 

A chill passed over Danny's spine. The fact that Marinette was hearing how obsessed the two were about hunting down Phantom wasn't good. He drummed his fingers nervously on the table. "Doesn't he stay in Amity Park though?" 

"You never know." Jack dug into his pocket and handed him a few bills. "Here's a lil' something for you. Get yourself something nice while we're out." 

Danny looked down at the allowance left for them. It was barely enough to buy them groceries to last a whole weekend. Jack, as usual, didn't seem to realize this and only ruffled his hair before heading out the front door. In less than a minute, the RV was speeding down the street. 

And Marinette was out from her hiding spot. 

"Danny, what was that?" He couldn't meet her eyes as she asked the dreaded question. 

"What was what?" 

"Are your parents always like that?" Her tone was firmer, voice louder. 

He didn't answer. Marinette moved closer to him and he knew—he knew—she was analyzing him, watching his every move to read the answer from him. "Danny. Danyal." She clutched the edge of the table. "What was that?" 

He had told his siblings about how he came to be a Halfa, but he only mentioned in passing that his parents were hunters. He chose to omit their neglect, and preferred to just live with it. "Jack and Maddie care about catching ghosts more than us," he told his sister quietly, "But they're good people, amira." 

"But what he said about Phantom." Venom laced her words. "How can they be so reckless? What about you? You're a good person, don't they see that?" 

Danny opened his mouth and clamped it shut. Ancients, what am I supposed to say? 'We're used to it'? He braved a look at her eyes and found them flowing with emotion, perhaps even more than what she could show back in Paris. 

"They don't know you're . . ." 

"No, they don't." 

"But Jazz knows, right?" She took a seat, accepting her cup again. 

"Yes, and she's been taking care of me ever since." He reached across to squeeze her hand. "It's okay, we're okay right now. As soon as Jazz finishes college and saves up enough money, we'll be out of this house." 

"Why didn't you tell us you've been living like this?" Her face was red, her irises were watery and her fingers shook. Marinette was good at concealing her emotions, but she was better at expressing them at the right times.  

"The same reason why we lie about our past," Danny answered solemnly. "You understand that, don't you?" 

A harsh glare was directed at him. "Yes, we lie to other people but that doesn't mean you lie to us. No matter what you think of the situation, it's dangerous for you. And don't say you didn't want to worry me and akhi, because we're always worried." 

His shoulders sagged. He did want to tell them but only when he had settled on a new life. "I'm sorry." 

Marinette heaved out a sigh, and it that second Danny felt like he was the youngest, fresh out of a scolding. She sipped on her coffee to calm herself down, rubbing away the tears from her eyes. "You know akhi will skin you alive, right?" 

His lips quirked up into a smile. "It's not like I'm not already half-dead." 

"Danyal." 

"I know, I know." His smile stretched wider. "Are you going to tell him?" 

Marinette huffed. "I should." 

"I'll tell him myself. Later today." He downed the last of his coffee, savoring the sweet taste. 

"What?" 

"You said it's difficult to visit Damian, but it's less risky if it's me. I'll drop by Gotham, check on him, and ask if he's heard anything from the League or Mother," he vowed. "Then I'll come clean." 

Marinette's lips curled. ". . . Are you sure?" 

"Yeah, I'll make it quick and give you an update after." Plus, I can always overshadow akhi if it doesn't go well. Or disappear right away.

Danny didn't find his brother in manor, so he opted to track his location to the Botanical Gardens where he saw Damian with Titus. He swiftly checked if he was truly alone before jotting down a coded message on a broad leaf. He dropped the leaf on the page Damian was sketching on, and the latter quickly deemed the coast clear. 

"Hey, akhi." Danny carefully sat down beside his brother. The setup and timing were too perfect. 

It was almost as if Damian was expecting him. 

"Amira told you, didn't she?" Danny said with a wince. 

"She concisely summarized what transpired during her visit." Damian paused his sketching, patting Titus' head who seemed to be interested in Danny's presence. "Now explain." 

Of course she'd snitch on me, Danny grumbled to himself. But then again, I promised to tell Damian. "It's exactly how it is. My adoptive parents . . . aren't the best parents. Ghost hunting has always been the topmost priority for them and Jazz has been the one taking care of me for as long as I remember." 

"Why were you keeping this from us?" 

Danny's leg bounced up and down. From their childhood, it was always Damian who asserted his elder position among the three, despite being born only three minutes before Danny. Danny always thought his brother was subconsciously pressured to be the one in charge, along with the obligation of being the League's heir. 

"Because . . . it's too messy to deal with it. I don't want court cases linked to us or CPS knocking at our door," Danny replied. "And it's better this way. They don't care too much if I'm out late or missing for a few days. At least Jazz and I have the freedom to deal with our lives, especially ghost-fighting." 

Danny looked at his brother. He hadn't torn his gaze away from the page, continuing to draw the pink hydrangeas in front of them. Danny leaned back. "There's also the Guys In White." 

"Guys in White?" 

"A secret government organization dedicated to eliminating ghosts." The awful memories filled his head one by one. "If Jack and Maddie are out of the picture, they might come for me and Jazz or confiscate their hunting equipment. I don't need more ghosts falling into their hands." 

Danny laughed humorlessly. "So I guess our parents' neglect is a double-edged sword in that way." 

He felt his eyes shifting in color as he imagined what the GIW could do to them and his subjects. Damian clearly sensed his anxiety as he didn't pry any further about the organization (though Danny knew his akhi would be doing a lot of incognito research later on). 

". . . I see," Damian finally uttered after moments in silence. 

Danny cocked an eyebrow. "That's it? 'I see'? You're not going to skin me?" 

"Tt. I trust that you and Jasmine know what you're doing and I see no need to interfere . . . yet." A scowl flashed on his face. "Also, I refuse to be a victim of your possession again." 

Danny blinked. He anticipated blood. A bruise or two at least. But a calm Damian was more terrifying; he took it as a promise that his brother will retaliate if ever anything happens to him under the care of his adoptive parents. 

Nonetheless, he was glad he could finally confide in his siblings about his situation and give them more clarity on his double life as a Halfa. 

"Overshadowing," Danny corrected, snorting. "That was one time! I didn't know where to hide." 

"You made a fool out of me in front of Kent." 

"Come on, he totally bought it!"

Superphantom: The Ghost King, three hunters, and an Angel.

After tons of years as the ghost king, Danny decided to take a road trip across the country both to take a small break but also to make sure the other spirits outside of Amity Park weren't causing too much trouble.

While Danny is travelling around and getting into misfit he comes across both Bobby Singer and the Winchester gang who don't know he is the ghost king or that Danny is a ghost at all, they just think they had picked up a young scrawny teenager who wants to be a hunter.

This AU has quite a few changes to it and knowledge you kneed to know before we start:

1. Since Danny become basically Schrödinger's boy he stopped ageing past 14, just gained a bit of mussel and slightly more scars for his human half.

2. When Danny got blasted by the whole power of the ghost zone he picked up ever ghost in there's abilities/powers, but can't control all of them or barely uses some.

For example: when Danny gets like SUPER angry he can cause minor storms similar to the tornado ghost but once it starts he can't control it, or for another example, he gained the ability to ride any motorcycle from kitty/Johnny.

3. The Winchester's are just doing basic hunting at this point in time, so no big bad apocalypse or anything like that.

4. Cas and Dean are an unofficial couple, they try to deny anything is between them but something is up.

5. Finally, I hope you have fun reading this story and it's mainly for entertainment.

Chapter 1: little lost ghost.

Danny looked one last time at himself in the mirror, taking deep breaths and reminding himself that he wasn't going to be gone for long and that the ghost zone was in good hands.

For weeks Danny had made sure the other ghost we're either going to behave or be okay while he will be away.

Clockwork had suggested that Danny should take a break and explore the world, he had been ruling over the ghost zone for more than 100 years, they will be okay with him gone for a year or more.

During the time Danny was packing he had visited everyone he could and gave them his goodbyes, not admitting that he half did this to stall but he knew he had to leave at some point.

As he took one last long look at himself, Danny hadn't aged for years, he was still the same 14-year-old with bags under his eyes, the odd freckle splatter across his face, and scars from his many battles hidden under blue jeans and a hoodie that had a stitched up red heart on it that hid away his black as night hair.

He was stalling again and he needed to leave now.

Daniel grabbed the overstuffed duffle bag and threw it over his shoulder and made sure the strap was right around his body, while he was messing with his bag Fright Knight came into the room to make sure his king was alright.

"My majesty are you taking your crown with you?"

Danny nodded and turned into his second ghost from where the crown floated above his head, making Fright knight nod with a smile.

Danny turned back to his human self, quickly running up to his loyal knight and hugging him tightly, Fright knight was a little confused at first but quickly hugged Danny back.

It took nearly three hours for Clockwork to get Danny to stop hugging and saying goodbye to everyone AGAIN.

He gave his usual dad speech before he left the ghost zone, the basic warnings that any parent would give;

"Don't get into random people's cars" "do you have enough money?" "If a ghost is giving you any trouble you have my permission to deal with them as you see fit."

Danny smiled as he looked back at all his friends who were waving to him as he left, he was going to miss all his mischievous friends.

The small ghost king went through the only open portal to the human realm, which led back to Danny's old home and basement, dust covering everything that had been left alone for years, the thick musty air filled his lungs as his steps creaked on the corroded metal steps.

Once upstairs Danny had to leave quickly or he would be stuck trying to recall his life before everyone had gone on with their lives, leaving the old place to its state of abandonment.

Tears welled up in his eyes as he walked through the door and out at the last bit of daylight, his human half finally breathing fresh air was colder than he was expecting.

Danny scanned his surroundings and noticed that the leaves were already transforming into spots of gold and browns, and red colours, leaving nothing but the turning of the season to be gazed upon.

With one big gulp of frozen air, Danny made his way down the cracked sidewalk, planning to leave for the road but he knew he had to see one more person before he left, someone that wanted him more than anything but had made his life a living hell for a bit.

Danny had to say his last goodbye to Vlad Masters...

By the time Danny reached the old Frootloops castle, it was past midnight and Danny was feeling actually calm as the cold wind flowed around him.

Danny was no longer scared of Vlad, and in truth at this point just saw him as an overdramatic millionaire, including since he stopped trying to get Danny to be his son.

When Danny knocked on the front door it flung right open causing Danny to nearly turn ghost but after the scare, he slowly calmed down and went inside the castle which was still very clean from what he could see in the dark.

"Hey, FruitLoop! You in?",

Danny's voice echoed loudly, soon being greeted by some kind of crashing noise coming from one of the rooms upstairs.

Just as his voice died out Vlad who was wearing striped pyjamas had rushed down the stairs, turning on the lights just as he rushed over to hug Danny in the tightest hug he had received so far.

" Daniel my boy! I heard the news already, I thought you would have left by now, but I'm so glad you hadn't yet".

Same old Vlad, always welcoming Danny in open arms even after all these years.

"Hey, I couldn't leave my old crazy fruitloop without saying something, you know me always wanting to have the last pun".

Each stared at each out then started to burst out laughing like how old friends would, being so glad to see each other even if it would be a while yet again.

Both Halfa's caught up on what they had missed in each realm, how the ghost zone was peaceful-ish and that everyone there was doing fine.

As for the human realm, things had gotten a little more interesting since more supernatural creatures were starting to show up more, and how some troubles came and went.

Danny was both relieved and a little scared that other than ghosts were being a bit bolder on coming out since it meant that he could possibly not be hunted the moment he shows his ghost self.

As Danny was about to go Vlad wouldn't let Danny leave before giving him some cash and a credit card to use while on the road.

With the last of his goodbyes done, Danny finally set out, leaving Amity Park for the first time in years and into a bigger new world.

It took only two and a half weeks, nearly a new record for Danny to be in some kind of danger, and for once it wasn't ghosts.

No, what was after him this time was an actual vampire this time, meaning Danny was unprepared to defend himself so all he could do was run as fast as he could which was surprisingly only a little faster than the bloodsucker who was hot on his trail.

Danny spirited around trees, barely avoided tripping into ditches and was not having a good time whatsoever.

He had tried a few times to turn intangible but with a vampire so close by it was pretty hard to concentrate on any of his abilities, especially since if he even stopped for one second he could be a full goner.

"Just got to last till sunrise, just till then, vampires have to hate the sun at least a little",

Danny kept on talking to himself to keep himself moving forward no matter what, just at least till the ankle bitter gets off his trail.

" oh, little boy~ you can't run forever, not even a hunter will last much longer".

Danny cursed his need to make a sarcastic quit while he is in panic mode, if only he kept looking forward he wouldn't have caught his foot on a loose tree root and sprained his ankle badly as he rolls hard into an open plain, leaving him defenceless as the vampire now walked calmly towards the boy, almost teasing the prey in front of them.

Before the bloodsucker could even get close enough Danny inhaled a ton of air and in one last-ditch effort he let out the loudest ghostly wail he could.

The once confident vampire was suddenly blasted back and holding their ears, but Danny didn't stop, his wail only grew stronger and stronger till it knocked down five trees into broken pieces.

By the time Danny stopped the vampire had left running for the hills, leaving Danny tired but half alive, which was better than being food.

Speaking of food Danny was starving to get something to eat, running for most of the night and using his ghostly wail while being in his human form made him hungry then he felt for a super long time.

He stumbled as he rose to his feet and started to walk again, hoping that there was a town close enough to get something to eat.

Danny's legs felt like pure lead by the time he gotten to rest inside the old-style diner, he relaxed on the soft red cushion as he dug for his wallet to make sure he didn't lose it, it was one thing to be hungry but Danny wasn't going to eat if he didn't have the means to pay.

Luckily his wallet was still there and so was the card Vlad gave him, with only 20 dollars left of cash.

As Danny waited to get his order taken, a deeply tanned waitress came up to him with her notepad, she looked at the tired 14-year-old looking kid with a look of concern and suspicion.

"Where are your parent's sweetheart? You can't be all alone just sitting here right".

Danny didn't blame her for asking, he knew his appearance was of a homeless kid, but he was too hungry to really care about the question of his parents.

He just looked up at the lady with a tired look and practically ignored her question, " does this place have cash or card? Just want to know how I should pay".

The waitress didn't like how he responded at all and was just about to tell him to leave, but before she even could get a word out an older man who looked like the kid's father sat down across from him and spoke up,

"Sorry about that Sally, my kid here was just told to pay with my money if I didn't get us a parking spot on time, please excuse his manners".

Danny was beyond confused but didn't show it, in fact, he played along and the waitress soon left in a huff to get them both menus.

The man who had saved him looked almost in his forties, with a cap on his head and a thick brown beard he did look like the dad type.

Danny was about to thank him as the menus arrived but the older man cut Danny off with just a raise of his hand.

Danny only nodded, if you count barely a month a long while, the man continued his speech "As I thought so. Now here I'll make you a deal after we finish eating. I can lend you a place to stay a night or two, but in return, you have to help me clean it up Ya hear?".

Danny was stunned but quickly accepted the proposal, the man nodded, happy that Danny had some sense in him.

Danny shook Bobby's hand, soon going back to being quiet between both of them as they were picking out what to eat, letting Danny calm down for the first time in a few days.

It was a slow week for Bobby, barely any monsters in sight, and with the Winchesters, most likely hunting someplace else left him with a lot of free time on his hands, meaning he was out on the road very early in the mornings to look out at the scenery.

During one of these drives, something had caught his eye which was five huge trees knocked down and torn up from the roots with the sounding ground looking like a bulldozer had ripped through it.

Bobby stopped his truck, grabbed his gun quickly and went over to investigate what the hell was even going on.

Bobby could see the damage was much worse up close and knew whatever caused this wasn't human, as he survived the area he could tell that the main source came from a single point and had spread out as it went further away.

He knew he needed to find whatever caused this and quickly because if something like this could do that kind of damage out in the middle of nowhere, in a small town or even a city this kind of destruction could be ten times worse.

Bobby rushed back to his truck, with a plan to call the Winchesters to help him figure out this mess, but first, he had to ask around town if anyone had seen or heard anything.

Bobby checked the bar, the then square, and now he was heading to the diner, so far the only information he got was that during the very late hours of the night half the town heard a piercing wail of some kind, in fact, a few were talking about with no hesitation since so many heard it.

This made Bobby a little more worried and needing to find it sooner than later, but since he was already at the diner he will grab something to quickly eat while he continued to ask around.

As he walked into the door he quickly noticed a very tired looking 14-year-old boy with bags under his eyes, I kept black hair and clothing that was torn and very much old.

What had caught Bobby's attention the most was both the kids piercing blue eyes and a few scars that were obviously trying to be hidden, the boy in front of him looked almost lost as the waitress was about to give him an ear full, so Bobby quickly stepped in and acted like the kid's dad to make her leave both of them alone.

Once Bobby got the waitresses to leave he took a better look at the newcomer in front of him, the kid was either a runaway or homeless from the looks of it, he gave off a tired like an aura, with the look in his eyes he would have east out any second now.

Right before either of them ordered anything the kid sitting across from him was about to speak but Bobby quickly cut him off with a small hand gesture, he took the lead in speaking.

" Now I'm just going to cut to the case here, I can easily tell your new around these parts and possibly been on the road for a long while correct?",

The scared boy just nodded leaving Bobby to continue

With a single movement, the kid showed his agreement, which made Bobby smile knowing the boy was smart enough to take a good deal.

With that out of the way, they could finally order some breakfast, Bobby ordered just the basic toast and eggs, but Danny? He ordered a big enough meal to feed a starving bear, almost matching the appetite of the Winchesters...

Wait, that can't be right, Bobby knew that Danny was barely a teenager, why would he have an appetite of a hunter? Unless, shit.

The thought of Danny possibly being a hunter was stuck in Bobby's head, he kept trying to doubt himself and just chalk it up to the kid just growing, but that still didn't explain why Danny had scars or even the usual homeless look most hunters had.

Bobby mind kept on turning that he almost didn't notice that the kid paid for the meal with some kind of silver card, another hint, hunters who have children always try to make sure their kid has enough to get by, meaning if Danny isn't a hunter then his parents must, including since the kid was all alone.

Bobby leads Danny to his truck and quickly noticed the young teen was limping, singling that he was injured in some way, to the kids surprise Bobby helped him into my truck, making sure he wasn't walking too much if he was hurting.

So much can change in a couple of hours, at the start of the day Danny had been injured trying to get away from a vampire, had to walk to town on a hurt ankle, and was almost yelled at by a waitress, but also met a man named Bobby who was willing to take him in for a few nights which was nice, and he even helped me into his truck when he saw him was struggling.

Now Danny was sitting on a couch with his foot resting and reading a book from Bobby's collection, it was nice to relax after a rough few weeks.

The first night was the best for Danny, the couch was way more comfortable than sleeping on the ground, and he was given a small time to heal up, his ankle was much better now and he could easily help out tomorrow which was the least he could do for the kind man.

Morning came way too early but Danny knew he had to get up, as he stretched out he sat up and was trying to get up from the couch but the moment Danny tried he was pushed back down gently, Bobby had placed a hit drink on the table next to Danny while was moving around like he was preparing for doomsday.

This made Danny a little uneasy but didn't speak up since he still didn't fully know the man's temper yet and if the guy who was kind enough to help Danny was nearly freaking out it must be important.

After a long period of silence, Bobby finally spoke up;

"I'm going to have some old friends over so don't be alarmed if they aren't too friendly, their hunters like me with an extra friend of theirs staying over too".

Danny nodded and gave a thumbs-up, but was left wondering if he meant animal hunter or monster hunter because depending on which could mean life or death for Danny if he slipped up on his powers.

Once Bobby was done running around the house he pulled up a chair to check on Danny's ankle, and thanks to his healing ability he was all healed up meaning Danny can walk again, and even help out.

It was obvious Bobby was impressed and let Danny clean the house a bit but was keeping an eye on him just in case.

Danny helped clean the kitchen, bring in some firewood, and was just finishing putting blankets away from his made shift bed.

As he put the blankets away Bobby walked back in with two men walking behind him.

One was very tall with light brown long hair and greyish eyes, this guy could be confused with being bigfoot or even a sasquatch.

The second man was just a bit shorter but still very tall too, he looked almost like a soldier that had too much fun shooting, his hair was shorter but had the same colour as Mr.Sasquatch so it was perfectly okay to assume they were brothers.

Both the men looked surprised to see him, and he didn't blame them.

Bobby cleared his throat and introduced each of us,

" Sam, Dean, this is Danny. Danny meet Sam and Dean Winchester"

"Uh hi? It's nice to meet you two", Danny gave a weary smile, his attention quickly moving away from Mr.Sasquatch and Soldier guy when he glanced behind them, seeing a third party member who was just walking in.

Danny had seen quite a few beings in his years, but the man before him was something else, for starters, he was wearing a tanned trench coat and a blue tie, his expression was that of indifference, but the main thing that caught Danny's eye was the huge wings coming out of the man's back that somehow didn't knock anything over as the man walked in.

All four men notice Danny staring, with an expression that wasn't frozen in fear but in curiosity and confusion.

The man in the trench coat moved closer to Danny making him nearly stubble back as the man spoke to Danny in a mix of both human and angelical combined voices asked a single question,

Alright on one hand killing Damian off for real in this prompt seems a bit much, don't you think?

But on the other... This does give a good possible opportunity for Damian's soul to be shredded and bound to the sword, ascending his ghost to become the Fright Knight he was chosen to become in true comic book fashion with a bullshit last minute power up giving him the power to return to the living world, the control over the sword to stop Scarecrow from using it for any more harm, and to show Crane what T R U E F E A R looks like.

Also I get where you are coming from, and agree somewhat. The point of a prompt is to expand on it and form your own narrative using it as a basis, to pool together people's ideas and expand a possible fanfiction universe.

But "constructive criticism" is not an excuse to put down someone's own work or idea just because it is not your preferred brand of tea. Not to say you can't criticize a fic or prompt... If they ASKED for that criticism in the first place.

There's a massive difference between suggesting an idea or addition that should expand upon the idea and take it in a new direction, and slamming a sledgehammer against the idea because you say the creator should have used X instead of Y.

Here the prompt was about Fright Knight being an Al Ghul, the Al Ghul family being destined to have a member of their bloodline become the next Fright Knight, and the next chosen successor was Damian because he was the best match as someone appealing to Danny's own interests.

This wasn't Fright Knight looking at the some villain who is just really obsessed with fear and going "yup he'll do" without considering the ramifications for giving him this power or if Danny would even like him.

...Perhaps the reason the fandom is so stagnant is because people getting their hard work made for fun bashed over the stupidest of reasons, creating a negative experience with writing and the fandom, and ultimately possibly pushing them away from writing and the fandom forever instead of letting them grow as a writer.

What you see as a tumor with the DPxDC community, such as DC characters becoming parodies of themselves (John "Soul Whore" Constantine, Brucie "Adoption Problem" Wayne, and so on) or including something as minor as Time Travel Codewords... I see it as a means for a potential gateway that gets people curious about the DC Comics and elements the more accessable media like games and cartoons rarely if ever touched upon.

But that curiosity SHOULD be an optional thing instead of something they should feel like they're forced to do at gunpoint when they write a DC character.

Nobody likes to feel like they should do homework, especially when there are so many different runs of DC Comics heroes that have been going on since the 1930's almost a century ago now just to know who is the top, who is the bottom, and who is in the middle of the fucking sandwich for their smut between Bruce, Clark, and Diana.

Danny Phantom in turn is a very accessible media with a 3 Season Long Cartoon with a currently just started comic with A Ghost in Time. This makes DPxDC a very easy gateway for that introduction through the show and can let them foster a love for DC to explore that side of the coin.

But I feel I'm getting way too off topic. It's clear we could just go back and forth for eternity with what are clearly conflicting ideals on writing and fanfiction, so I believe it's for the best if I walked away for good.

It's clear to me over our past debates that you remain stubbornly attached to your ideals. An admirable trait in all honesty, but an especially annoying one in this case. Just take these following words into some level of consideration if nothing else.

If you truly want people in this fandom to grow and prosper, just let them go at their own pace instead of telling them how they should be having fun unless they explicitly are seeking out said advice or opinions.

But if nothing else I at least have to thank you and give you a hint of credit for giving me some perspective, Mr. Jedipirateking. To give me a chance to sort my thoughts as a writer and what I value in writing fanfiction into words over our debates. Especially on internal vs external powerscaling and how it applies to writing.

-at this point, Danny's ghost enemies are a lot like, I dunno, batman's rouge gallery is the first thing that comes to mind. they all have their own gimmick and unique designs, but most of them are easy to beat after learning the Moral Lesson. I still get excited when any of them show up again, though. 18 is another valerie episode!!!! :D skulker really said you two will get along if I have to handcuff you together <3 and the gym teacher really said, youre married now, have a flour baby! ngl, I'm not really watching this show for the shipping stuff (which I am very scared to look at the fandom for after I finish this watch through- I feel like there's probably discourse/arguing about ships...) but. Sooo this idea inspired me and I started Worldbuilding. If anyone wants to write this you can take or leave any of my ideas. They are very loose and unformed right now.

Ghosts have very malleable forms, usually having minor shapeshifting plus multiple defined forms they switch between. More powerful ghosts have more forms, but most ghosts have a minimum of 2 (Humanoid Ghost and Weapon). Their most powerful form for battle is almost always their Weapon form. Ghosts can fight in this form without a Wielder, due to their ability to fly, but it is less efficient since they have to spend so much energy on flight. Ghosts can Wield one another, but a) that is a level of collaboration most ghosts don’t go for unless it's something serious or they get along well, and b) a human wielding a ghost is more powerful because of the balance of life and death energies, which Resonate together to boost the ghost’s powers. 

Halfas are more powerful than other ghosts of the same age/importance/etc, because they are a balance of life and death energy, and can therefore Resonate with themselves. In fact, they do this instinctually, so the boost to their ghost powers is not usually noticed because it’s their default. 

The goal of the GIW is to use ghosts as weapons. Amanda Waller probably helps fund it. Anyway they are more competent and block off Amity Park pretty early on so the Justice League doesn’t try to turn their new weapons into people, but at first that’s most of what they do, staying back and observing.

Danny’s story goes pretty similarly, with him fighting ghosts. However he frequently takes his weapon form, a Scythe, and lets Sam Wield him to fight more powerful ghosts. However, because Resonance requires a balance of life and death energy, Halfas can only Resonate with other Halfas, and being Wielded by a full human or ghost is helpful, but not as much. Sam’s Vigilante name (since she keeps being Phantom’s Wielder a secret because of the mixed reception of him as a hero) is Grim, short for Grim Reaper. After Undergrowth she gains more affinity for plants and changes it to Nightshade, since a Wielder’s magical affinities affect the powers of the ghost weapon they Wield. Plus, being more contaminated by Ecto means that while she still can’t really Resonate with Danny, she’s a better Wielder for him. 

Most ghost fights is still just the ghosts, just with more changing between Ghost and Weapon forms, but Pariah Dark Wields Fright Knight (Soul Shredder is just his Weapon form in this), and Undergrowth forces Sam to Wield him. Maybe a couple other times a Ghost convinces/coerces a human into Wielding them for the Ghost’s goals, and when Pariah attacks a couple ghosts let humans Wield them to fight his army. (Star wielding Ember, maybe? Dash Wielding Skulker? Tucker Wielding Technus? IDK) (IDK, if I put more thought into this I'd go more fight by fight to see how ally relationships cause Wielding. Also maybe the Johnny thing is he wanted Kitty to be able to Overshadow Jazz and Wield him) (OH actually maybe to fight Pariah either Danny Wields Vlad or vice versa)

Things change tone drastically once the GIW finally figures out their actual goal- a device that will force a ghost to stay in Weapon form, and remove their ability to act without their Wielder’s direction, turning them into an object just like how the GIW sees them. (I’m thinking like locked-in syndrome, completely awake but can’t do anything) However, the GIW isn’t satisfied because it can’t force ghosts to Resonate, so the Weapons are less powerful than expected.

I think I want this to be good but oblivious Fentons AU, and have a good reveal happen after the GIW starts getting more dangerous. 

The GIW manage to capture Danny and make him stuck in Weapon form. Sam, Tucker, Jazz, the Fenton parents, and maybe some ghosts idk (I kinda want Tuker and Technus as a Wielder/Weapon duo) manage to break him out, but they don’t know how to undo the effect. Amity isn’t safe anymore with the GIW taking full control, so they escape to Gotham. They pick Gotham because the rampant crime and vigilantism means that it’s a good place to hide from the government. 

However, the GIW are obsessed with Phantom since he’s the most powerful ghost, and forcing him into Weapon form he’s still very powerful since he still instinctively Resonates with himself. So they follow them to Gotham. 

Meanwhile on the DC side of the coin: 

Ghosts come in a wide range of power levels, and the most powerful ghosts usually are the ones in the Realms, because of the easy access to Ecto there. 

Deadman is a very low-power ghost, especially since he has trouble fulfilling his Obsession, which is to have a healthy, loving romantic relationship. However, he can still transform into his Weapon form, a magical amulet (maybe), and is usually Wielded by Constantine. The GIW don’t bother trying to go after him since his Justice League connections make him not worth it. A non magic user can’t get much use out of his Weapon form anyway. The Government’s part in making the JLD was part of what inspired the GIW though, since they saw what Constantine could do with Deadman and learned about how powerful Weapons Ghosts could be. 

Secret is a more powerful ghost that the GIW did take a couple attempts at but again focusing on Amity was more worthwhile. 

Jason is a halfa, but an unstable one due to the Pit’s corruption, and so he’s stuck in human form and mostly without ghost powers until he gets access to pure Ecto, which would finally give his core the power to filter the Ecto he has and stabilize him into a proper halfa.

Constantine doesn’t know about halfas and doesn’t interact with Jason after he comes back, so there’s no one to tell Jason this. 

When Team Phantom get to Gotham, GIW on their heels, this causes the Bats to learn about the GIW. 

Or really, about a strange organization that is after a strange group of people. 

The Bats are still in the info-gathering stage when the GIW’s ghost sensing devices sense Jason while he’s watching Team Phantom and the GIW attack Jason. 

Team Phantom move to help (they want the bats to help them, and don’t know which side they’ll take, which is why they didn’t try going for them. Helping a Bat (who might be ghostly?) against the GIW will help with that.) 

The fight is going poorly since the GIW have powerful anti-ghost tech, and outnumber our heroes, Jason is doing a good job of dodging the anti-ghost tech, since he’s the most trained person in the fight, and so when the GIW manage to get their hands on Danny, Jason takes down the GIW holding him and picks up Danny himself. The fight immediately shifts as Danny Resonates with Jason, which in addition to making Danny super powerful, starts the process of filtering Jason’s Ecto. This throws Jason off a bit but the powerful weapon still manages to turn the tide. 

Thennn Jason and Sam fight (verbally) cuz Sam wants Danny back (After all that’s a whole person she has been entrusted with the safety of who can’t advocate for himself since he’s stuck in Weapon form!) But Jason a) wants to question them and currently has leverage to make them answer, b) doesn’t trust them with weird super powerful magic items, and c) REALLY doesn’t want to let go of this magic item that’s calming the Pit. Like he knows he probably should since an unknown magic item is affecting his mental state but. But. And Danny keeps Resonating with Jason after the fight ends because this poor guy (who just saved him and his friends) has been suffering with this rancid Ecto for who knows how long! He has to fix it!

This idea came to me after reading this post

How about a dcxdp that is also crossovered with soul eater, with Ghosts being weapons and the humans could be Meisters

And Half ghosts like Danny can be both, like using his ectoplasm/ghost half to have himself as a weapon

With Jason also being a halfghost they could be team (and later also couple?)

And After like week of them just nervously staring at Danny and Vlad. The one day Vlad just have enough go Well I can let you dissect me if You like... They do dissect session with Vlad being full concious to get an insider opinion and Info on Halfa Bio on Halloween night caused the kid would be out trick or treating. . <Fright Knight Version of Para>. And Danny and co just comeback into lab right after the Dissect is over and Jack is Patching Vlad up and just go. -um Uncle Vlad we “brorrow” one of your sword and accidently unleash an acient halloween ghost knight into the town and it now threatening to Take over the town  -You Did WHAT? Insert fire/ Pink magical circle and ghost laser here. With Vlad looking like a Bad Vampire mummy halloween costume lying wasted on the street bleeding out surrounded by the Danny gang with the Fright knight barely Escape Vlad "To Unworld You go” Beam fly away sworn revenge  <setting up for event that make Danny Pugatory Avatar Halfa becoming the new ghost King > ........................................................................................................................ To Who ever read this entire mess. I Kudo You for putting up with my bullshit.

The Ancients

So! If you know me, you know I have Several Feelings about the Ancients. For the Folklore portion of today’s World Building Week prompt, I’m going to over-analyze this brief bit of hearsay-history and a few other scenes to explain who some of the most likely canon candidates for the Ancients are.

Now, starting from the beginning:Skulker’s first lines are “it was many years ago. Before you,” (the shot focuses on the trio) “before me,” (the shot focuses on him and the Box Ghost) “before most of us.” (the shot focuses on Walker, Sidney, and Dora.)

Sidney is from the fifties. We are told this. Walker speaks with a southern drawl that can’t place him more than a couple hundred years back - something easy to hear. But Dora? Dora, the dragon-shifting princess who lives in a realm trapped in the past, who spends her earlier episodes upset and enraged that her mother won’t let her go to a ball, and has allegedly spent fourteen thousand years being oppressed by her brother? Skulker said most, and Dora fits the bill to be the exception perfectly.

But that still leaves the issue of her missing mother.

Obviously, Beauty Marked takes place after Reign Storm and suffers a case of unaddressed missing mother syndrome. It’s also worth noting that Dora spends the entirety of Reign Storm as a dragon, implying that she is furious. Ember also states that Pariah, while only being free for a day, has already started to destroy their homes.

It’s reasonable to assume that Dora fled because her realm was targetted. It’s reasonable to assume that not everyone else managed to.

I’d like to introduce our first likely Ancient: Dora’s mother, and potentially her other parent as well, who were killed by Pariah in an act of vengeance during Reign Storm.

Of course, depending on the shot, there are between six and seven ancients, so that’s not much of a dent in the mystery. Granted, as you can see in the clip, there are only seven in the final shot - the implication there being that one was in Pariah’s Keep. The question is, why? Were they a spy or a prisoner? Or perhaps... something worse?

I’d like to introduce you to our next potential Ancient: Fright Knight, the traitor.

Vlad refers to Pariah’s Keep as “home of the Fright Knight, and before that, the Ghost King.” Here he implies that Fright Knight occupied the tower after Pariah was sealed away. Given that Fright Knight himself was eventually sealed away as well, it’s reasonable to assume that he did something awful to warrant it.

It’s worth noting that the Crown of Fire, aside from colour, matches Fright Knight’s aesthetic more than Pariah’s. The legend also shows Fright Knight riding in to present it to Pariah, who does nothing but sit on his throne and wait. This can explain how despite the Ancients taking away the Crown of Fire from Pariah, he is still locked up with it.

It’s also worth noting that Fright Knight and Pariah have very minor struggles for control - when Fright Knight tells the skeletons to act “on my orders” Pariah cuts in, much more forcefully, “on MY orders.” Fright Knight is quick to abandon Pariah for Vlad, and past that, for Dan. 

Fright Knight, for whatever reason, gave Pariah the crown. The other Ancients, for whatever reason, still believed him to be on their side. I don’t have an answer for whether they thought of him a prisoner or a double agent, but they did not consider him a threat. Inevitably, he proved them wrong and was sealed away in a pumpkin.

 For our next two, I’m going to talk about scars

And finally, Nocturne - yes, I know there’s no E at the end of his name. Unfortunately, I do not care. I think it looks so much better with one, so the E stays.

Clockwork is the Master of Time and demonstrates that by constantly shifting ages. It’s not unreasonable for his scar to still be fresh. 

Pariah was locked away. The mark on the eye he still has could still be fresh. But on the eye that matches the other two, as you can see, there’s a faint outline of a scar under the eye patch. It could be a coincidence - or it could be a consequence of turning against the other Ancients.

(it’s worth mentioning here that, obviously, we never see any hint of Fright Knight’s eyes beyond the glowy orbs under his helmet. Who knows what marks or scars he has?)

Now, Nocturne does not have time powers. He was not shoved in a magic box for who knows how long. There is no reason his scar should be fresh.

Clockwork, as he appears in the show, seems to be under contract work with the current judicial, if not full-blown ruling power of the Ghost Zone. If that’s his relationship with the Observants, it could have been the same with Pariah - or maybe it never was. Maybe the Observants pointed their Master of Time at this new ‘Ghost King’ and told Clockwork to get rid of him! Or maybe Pariah and Clockwork were close once, and this was personal. 

And then there’s Nocturne. 

Oh, Nocturne. Why would he be an Ancient? He proclaims himself to be the ghost of sleep - something that is to a blade of grass as the Master of Time is to one of those ancient redwood trees. Nocturne wants to be all-powerful, as he says in Frightmare. Ergo, he wants to become equal in power to Clockwork. He also calls himself the King of Dreams, despite being unable to fight without any dream energy to harvest.

You could say that Nocturne was the true traitor and Fright Knight was in the way - that he helped Pariah, and let Fright Knight take the fall. Or you could say that he wanted to learn from the Ancients who were, as Skulker said, powerful. With Nocturne, there’s a lot of uncertainty - an unfortunate consequence of being a season 3 villain and having most of his episode dedicated to Danny and Sam’s budding romance. Regardless of his intentions, he was the fifth Ancient.

Of course, that still leaves two to reach our final seven. Now, as I mentioned before, Pariah has Nocturne and Clockwork’s scar. He could have been one of them once, and that fact could have been lost to time. But even then, even if we want to consider that, there is still one spot left. Who was the last Ancient?

To that, I say; Fright Knight had to do something particularly awful to be sealed away, and the Frostbite’s people had to be so ecstatic about Danny’s defeat of Pariah for a reason. The last Ancient was a member of the Far Frozen - maybe even the leader before Frostbite.

So, those are my picks for the Ancients! Dora’s parents (particularly her mother), Fright Knight (the perceived traitor), Clockwork (the mercenary), Nocturne (the shifty, power-hungry one), a member of the Far Frozen who was unfortunately killed (maybe while defending the Infi-map), and Pariah (who simply was never taken off the register of Ancients, even when they were fighting him).

Danny Phantom Ghost Origin Categorization

First, for the sake of my sanity I’ll be limiting this to things shown or said on the show. Widely accepted fanon and wiki knowledge unfortunately do not count, and as usual Butch gets no say.

The categories are as follows: Confirmed Dead, which is self-explanatory; Presumed Dead, since most of the ghosts don’t have defined backstories; Naturally Formed, which were made from the Ghost Zone’s ectoplasm without any spirit attached; Artificial, which is also self-explanatory except for a minor detail that I’ll bring up when it becomes relevant; Concepts, which are the physical manifestation of a particular idea or natural force; and Other, for ghosts that I don’t have enough context to put in the other categories. And also Boxed Lunch. Boxed Lunch is weird.

With all that said, let’s begin.

The Fenton Exo-suit’s Phantom form doesn’t count, since it only has the aura if a ghost is piloting it. This is mostly just so I can add more things to the list, honestly
