What are your wedding headcanons for Gaara x Matsuri ?

Ah you either saw the hints in the Wedding!AU or just like you some GaaMatsu lol.

I don't have any headcanons for them really, it was mostly a throwaway as I tend to make Gaara Ace or Demi and not necessarily straight.

Not to say Gaara doesn't have romantic feelings or even sexual attraction, but you get me I'm sure.

However, this is a universe where I've hinted at Gaara and Matsuri maybe being a thing so here's some little ones that are not to be taken as strictly true in the universe as things may change if I want to write a story about them.

Which I might.

GaaMatsu Wedding!AU Headcanon #1:

Matsuri was actually Temari's friend first. They met while they were clerking at a local law firm before they both started their degrees and stayed in touch when Temari moved to Konoha to practice law.

Matsuri first met Gaara when Temari had invited her round to her place before they went out for the night and Gaara had just happened to be visiting as well.

Matsuri was smitten immediately and what was meant to be a girly night out turned into Temari fielding questions about her brother the entire time. Even when they were meant to be dancing the night away.

She eventually warned her friend that Gaara didn't really seem into anything romantic or physical and that she might be wasting her time going after him. Matsuri understood and let it go, mostly.

Gaara for his part, thought Matsuri seemed nice and didn't really think about her again until the next time they bumped into each other.

GaaMatsu Wedding!AU Headcanon #2:

Gaara and Matsuri work together, very closely in fact. Matsuri is Gaara's go to lawyer if he needs to discuss changing or implementing existing laws.

Are there more qualified or experienced lawyers he could be going to? Yes. Does he care? No.

Besides, the more time Gaara spends around the rather enthusiastic brunette, the more he finds he prefers being around her than not.

There are many, many rumours surrounding them at the office. But no one says anything, Gaara's not like that and Matsuri is a professional.

And if there happens to be lingering touches and looks that neither of them are aware are very obvious ... well that's no one's business as far as you ask the staff around them.

GaaMatsu Wedding!AU Headcanon #3:

Nothing has actually happened between the two of them as of the time of the Wedding!AU's events.

Gaara is still trying to figure out what he feels and Matsuri is doing her best to remain professional and not cross a line despite a very clear crush on what is basically her boss.

But the dancing Sakura sees? Well, they're at a wedding, love is decidedly in the air and while it could certainly be dismissed as just dancing ...

Gaara's hand is very much glued to Matsuri's hip, in a respectable way of course, but it's there. And when they break apart to go get some more drinks and some food after the dancing, Gaara's hand has only moved as far as to be held by Matsuri's.

And they do spend the entire reception together.

Them rumours, they are a-poppin'.

Ta ra!

L x Misa - Death Note

This one's weird. I used to hate L's guts, yet I found him hot in a messed up/ prison fantasy sort of way. Then a few months back, I read some L x Misa fics and started to prefer him to Light. Maybe it's just AU versions of L? I still think he was pretty much as bad as Light, but at least, like Misa, he had a tragic background that drove him. Light was just an ego-maniac. And of course, I've always adored Misa!

Sebastian x Mey-Rin - Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler

My most recent otp. I had some knowledge of the series and thought Sebastian was hot. But oh, when I sat down to watch the first episode, it was nearly instantaneous! The klutzy, nervous, redheaded maid who pines for him... I want these two to get together! I need it!

Zagato x Princess Emeraude - Magic Kinght Rayearth

My second anime otp ever, from back in the 90s. Along with ZabuHaku, this one still makes me cry. It's so, so sad! And Zagato is still one of the sexiest characters in anime!

Gaara x Matsuri - Naruto

I don't know why this ship gets so much hate. (I've gathered a lot of it is from fangirls with Sue-ish OCs. Being someone who resembles and identifies strongly with Gaara, I feel no personal attraction to him. Maybe I think Matsuri is cute and sweet?) I thought they were so adorable together in the Four Celestials filler arc and have shipped them since.

Neji x Tenten - Naruto

I'm still jaded by Neji's death. So much lost potential! And it's cruel that Tenten did get to be like Tsunade, but in the worst way; they both lost their men to a war while fighting beside them.

Sailor Uranus x Sailor Neptune - Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon

My very first anime ship! Haruka and Michiru are still the yardstick by which all OTPs should be measured.

When Gaara walked onto the training field, it conjured a strange sense of nostalgia. He’d been back to this training field many times, either to train alone or with Matsuri. But this would be the first time he’d been here with Aki since their spar eight years ago. And as he watched her stretch, the memories came flooding back. He remembered her fruitless attempt to break through his sand, the first time she’d shown him her crystals, and of course, the first time she’d witnessed Shukaku’s emergence. 

So much had changed since then, both good and bad. He was just glad that their friendship was something that hadn’t.

Summary: Matsuri is a teacher and brings her young class to receive a gardening lesson from the Kazekage himself. Urashiki watches and is almost discovered by a genjutsu resistant child. Some hilarity ensues and Gaara is conflicted.

A/N: I can't help myself. This is mostly fluff and humor.

Gaara smiled. "You're right, it is. Can anyone tell me what a prickly pear needs in order to grow?"

Many hands shot straight up. All seemed to be vying for the Kazekage's attention.

"How about you?" Gaara asked a young girl standing near the back of the class.

"Don't they need sunlight, and water?" she asked.

Urashiki listened idly to the lesson, more interested in how Gaara seemed at ease and genuinely happy teaching the small humans about gardening. He tilted his head and rested his cheek on his fist, content to watch.

Another kid raised their hand, in the middle of Gaara's lecture about some other kind of plant, a Venus mantrap or something or other, Urashiki hadn't been paying attention.

"Excuse me, Mr. Kazekage, but why is there a white man watching you?"

Friendship Headcannon with Matsuri, Yukata, and Sari (ft. Training w/ Gaara)

💕These girls are not about that hardcore ninja life, so if that’s what you’re going for, this group isn’t for you.

💕They’re more about the connections, camaraderie, and having fun.

💕No one’s killing themselves over being Hokage here. 

💕These young women vary on their level of ditziness. Either you fit right in, or you’re automatically the brain of the group.

💕You might not have power on your side, but you definitely have the best communication skills in Suna. 

💕Overall a very sturdy team for small missions or recon. 

💕It’s actually pretty honorable how these three ladies just want to help. It’s not about the glory, it’s about serving.

💕You’ll end up having an admiration for Gaara in one way or another. 

💕Even if you weren’t his biggest fan in the first place, spending time with these three will create a feeling of respect for you.

💕Gaara handles your group with kindness and patience. 

💕The admiration can boarder on cringey at times, but he never says anything about it and always thanks you for your service. 

💕Gaara takes you under your wing. He acknowledges your ambitions and happily helps you hone your skills.
