Will my suffering never cease
- went to good Friday evening service even tho it's not a day of obligation, didn't go yesterday evening to Maundy Thursday for a variety of reasons
- priest manages to fit homophobia and transphobia into his sermon. Not even gay marriage. Just unions, that let ppl share taxes and have hospital visiting rights. And big bad scary surgery. Like. Completely unrelated to the matter at hand. Says SO LITTLE abt the Passion, managed to talk for 10 minutes without really saying ANYTHING. Takes Pilate's 'what is truth' and instead of engaging in the long philosophical and theological discussion around that question, decides to use it as a rallying cry against wokeism and a godless progressive society.
- my two ex best friends were there. Ran into them. + One's husband, who I introduced her to a decade ago. Like I'm mostly over that, no longer shitty and resentful, fully know that it was partially my fault and born from my own terribleness at 19 and undiagnosed untreated mental illness. Still uhhh hurts tho??? As a reminder?
- music bad. Ok I'm petty. I'll give the trads (1) point. I don't like guitar mass. I will NOT agree with the trads in assigning moral weight to my aesthetic preference. It's simply a preference, which does not make any musical form inherently superior to the others. But the triduum really lends itself to Latin hymns and chants, in my heart. My other fave church music is traditional Black spirituals. I would greatly prefer either. But just. If it sounds like an acoustic version of a pop love song. I just. I can't. I KNOW I'm the weird about Jesus romantically girlie. But I am not vibin with this folks
Literally would have simply Walked Out. Hit da bricks during the homily. But was with my family so 1) cannot out myself 2) did not have house keys on me, so I was suck regardless
Anyway I said I wasn't going to do fun things today but I'm so upset and cranky and I did chores all day, I am going to catch up on dungeon meshi. Marcille is my best favourite cringefail girl I'm obsessed with her and surely the wlw neurotic fussy mage who loves her friends will not betray me like this

People say Disney is flopping because they got political and added "woke" culture. Go woke go broke.
Then we Trolls 3, Dreamworks fruitest and gayest franchise gaining all the love as this holidays best animated film. You can't tell me the Trolls are all straight!!! They gay as hell. Veneer and Velvet back flipped out of a glittery gold car crash in flipping platform heels and crop tops!!! You can't get any gayer than that. And the Queen of Drag making an appearance as a priest was a treat.
Not to mention, Disney had the gayest witch show in history that was gaining success, and they canceled it all of a sudden. And didn't let Gravity Falls, a successful show, have a gay couple.
I don't think going woke is the problem.

In Love With The Boy
Richard couldn't care less that his son was gay. Quite the opposite, actually. He’d had his fair share of dalliances in his day, and he was glad Steve got to be open about that part of himself.
No, Richard Harrington had a problem with who his son chose to date.
“I don’t like this,” he said as he leaned against the doorway.
Helen touched up her lipstick in the bathroom mirror. “Like what?”
“This whole situation with the Munson boy.”
She fixed him with a glare. “Now, you swore to me that you’d love our son no matter what.” Even after all this time, she couldn’t drop her drawl when she was ticked off.
“No no, it’s not that. I just don’t think Eddie’s a good idea for Steve.”
“Oh. Well, can’t help love, I suppose.”
“I’ve heard some rumors about him from Darlene.”
“Baby, Darlene’s older than Moses. You ain’t gotta listen to her.”
“I do if I don’t want my coffee poisoned. That woman’s mean.”
She rolled her eyes. “I’m sure Eddie’s perfectly fine. Steve’s happier than he has been since he and Nancy broke up, and we are not going to ruin that for him.”
He put his hands up. “Alright, but I’m allowed to not like him. Father’s intuition.”
“What was it my daddy said the day we got married?”
“When he told my great-aunt I was dumber than a box of rocks or when he called me a no-good papist bastard in front of the priest?”
“Exactly. And it’s been twenty-three years since then. But,” she sighed, “if it makes you feel better, we can come home a bit early tonight, and I’ll talk to him before he leaves.”
He pressed a kiss to her temple. “Thank you. If we hurry, we can get seats by Alan and Brenda.”
Helen flashed that beautiful smile that’d caught his heart so long ago. “No, sir. You and Alan are trouble together.”
------
It was a lazy date, but one Steve wouldn’t give up for the world. He and Eddie were curled up on the couch, a movie playing in the background that he didn’t give a damn about. Instead, he was distracted by the feeling of the man in his arms.
These moments were so different from how Eddie portrayed himself. Out in the world, he was larger than life, eccentric, untouchable. But here, under the blankets, he shared his softest smiles, undid him with the lightest touches. He told Steve stories he’s never told before, shared the little details of his experiences and questioned the meaning of the universe. He drew the same from Steve, until there was nothing in his life that he would hide from these intimate moments.
He traced the scars along Eddie’s sides. If Robin was his other half, Eddie was his compliment, fitting around his curves and edges just so. They moved with each other in intricate patterns, calming and encouraging in turn, bringing out the best and tempering the worst. He adored Eddie and felt adored.
No one had ever made him feel that way before.
“Stevie?” Eddie asked.
He hummed, pressing a kiss behind his ear.
“Where do you see us in the future?”
“Wherever. As long as you’re there, I’m happy.”
“Really? Anywhere?”
“I’d follow you to the moon if you asked.”
Eddie smiled. “I followed you into hell, so it’s only fitting.”
Steve laughed. “Of course.” He took a beat to consider it and continued, “I mean, we can get a little house somewhere and have a couple pets, babysit for the neighbors, grow a little garden. I’d like that.”
“I would too.” He flipped over so their chests pressed together, faces mere inches from each other. Eddie had a mischievous grin on his lips. “I get to pick at least one fight with someone on our street.”
“What for?”
“Blood feuds are the staple of suburbia, sweetheart. How am I to be properly domesticated if I can’t have that basic right?”
Steve rolled his eyes. “Fine, but if it comes to blows, I’m not bailing you out.”
“What if they really deserve it? Not even then?” He pouted, giving him those puppy dog eyes he couldn’t resist.
“You’re a menace.”
Eddie pressed a kiss to the tip of his nose. “Yes, but I’m your menace.”
Steve pulled him close, basking in Eddie’s smile as he kissed him soft and slow. A few years ago, he wouldn’t have imagined that he’d be here with the whole world in his hands, content to let the hours pass by as they clung to one another.
He was safe. He was home.
Eddie drew back, fondness in his eyes as he posed the next question. “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?”
His heart soared. “You mean…”
“Marry me, as soon as we can. Even if we have to run away.” Eddie slipped off the silver skull ring he always toyed with and held it out. “I’ll save up for wedding bands, I swear.”
He almost couldn’t get the words out, the way his heart pounded. “God, yes,” he whispered. The warm metal was snug on his finger, and then, then he was being kissed like the Earth was on the verge of collapse.
They held each other tight, joy and need spinning into something desperate that kept their lips moving against each other, hands tangled in clothes as they let gravity overtake them. Steve felt it snare around his heart, hook them together in a way he’d never protest.
He never had to let Eddie go again.
The crunch of tires in the driveway cut through his bliss. “Shit!” Eddie squeaked. “You didn’t say they’d be home early!”
“Maybe it’s just someone turning around.” The car came to a stop and cut off. “Son of a bitch.”
They sprang apart, rushing to make themselves presentable. His mother’s heels clicked up the steps.
Eddie’s eyes were as wide as saucers. He grabbed his wrist. “Hey. I love you, okay?”
One short nod. “I love you.”
The key rattled in the lock. He took a breath, composing his face into casual coolness before the door opened.
“Boys!” his mom called, wrapping him in a hug.
“Hey,” he replied, “how was tonight?”
“Oh, it was fine. I’m just a bit tired today, so we figured we oughtta come on home.” She frowned. “We did miss dessert, though. I think I’ll have a slice of pie before bed. Come have some, Eddie.”
She had him by the arm before he could protest. He threw a panicked glance over his shoulder, but Richard’s grip on Steve’s arm stopped any interference. “Steve told me you’ve got family in Tennessee. What part?”
“Just outside Savannah, ma’am.”
“You don’t want to get involved in that.” Richard let him go. “Let’s talk in my office.”
Steve felt like he was going to puke. He followed his dad down the hall, carefully sitting in the armchair across the desk.
Richard fell into the desk chair with a sigh. “You and him are seeing each other, correct?”
Cold sweat dripped down his spine. He tried to swallow the lump in his throat. “Yes.”
His dad pinched the bridge of his nose. “Why couldn’t it have been a good one like Tommy?”
Steve wasn’t normally this slow on the uptake, but it took a few moments for the dots to connect in his mind. “What?”
“You understand that you being with a man is going to make things harder for you, right?” He nodded. “And him having murder accusations worsens it.”
“Obviously false accusations.”
His dad smiled wryly. “Not the way a lot of people in town see it. And your mom went over those NDAs with a fine tooth comb. They’re watertight.”
“Hold on, are you mad that I’m in love with a guy, or are you mad that the guy is Eddie?”
“The latter, and I’m not mad, just disappointed.” He leaned forward to rest his elbows on the desk. “I’m not losing my only son because of who you fell in love with.”
The confusion must have been apparent, because he continued. “Your mother and I love you, and nothing’s going to change that. We just want to make sure you’re safe and he’s treating you right.”
Steve ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah, um, yeah. Sorry, this… this is not how I expected this to go.”
“You know how to be a gentleman, and you shouldn’t tolerate any less from him.”
“He’s been perfectly sweet. Why— Why are you not freaking out about this?”
Richard gave him a look. “Have you ever really thought about how we call Terry your uncle even though he’s just Mark’s roommate and we’re not really related?”
“Well, yeah, they’ve lived together for fifteen… Oh.” The final piece clicked into place.
“Yep. Kinda saw it coming, to be honest. You’re a bit vain for your own good.” He shrugged. “You boys are being safe, right?”
“Dad!”
“And not just with the sex stuff. You can handle yourselves in a fight?”
Steve, despite never having won any fight against a human person, nodded.
“Good.” He stood and walked around the desk to wrap Steve in a brief hug. “You’re my son, and you’ll always be welcome here.” Just as briskly, he let go.
“Thanks,” Steve winced at the sound of his voice cracking.
Helen’s voice rang out warmly. “Good night, Eddie! Drive safe!”
He took that as his cue to step out. In the hall, he found Eddie, face pale and eyes wide as they flicked back and forth from his parents’ bedroom and the plate in his hands.
Eddie turned to face him with a haunted look. “I’m scared of your mom.”
Richard clapped him on the back. “We all are, son. You boys don’t stay up too late.” With that he walked down the hall, shaking his head. Eddie was smarter than he looked. Maybe it’d be good for Steve to keep him around.

If you are a Jared or Sam fan please don’t read this. If you are a Jared or Sam fan and you leave a comment I will block you without reading it so don’t bother. The end of season 6 (ep 20, 21 and 22) seems like a turning point for Destiel to me. Maybe I’ve read too many gay fan fics but it just seems like their relationship changed in these eps. Like before this point they obviously had feelings for each other but they both thought it was a crush and they both thought it would go away. Then in these eps it feels like because of the storyline they both kinda accepted their own feeling but too afraid to say anything.
In The Man Who Would Be King (think that’s right) from the very beginning of the ep there was a difference in the boys.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They were lying to each other and couldn’t even look each other in the eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It looked like it was physically hurting Dean to lie to Cas and to even think that Cas was lying to him. He’s been lied to before usually by Sam and he gets pissed off but this isn’t a hurt by your brother look.
Tumblr media
If Cas is just a friend to both Dean and Sam why is it that Sam had no problem believing Cas could lie to them and go behind their backs (that to me isn’t even friend behaviour) yet Dean defended Cas. I find it funny that Cas and Dean think they are hiding their feelings yet Bobby and Sam had to question Dean to find out what he said to Cas so obviously they know what affect they have on each other and that it’s not just friendship.
“You’re distracted.” “I’m holding up my end.” “Yes but what else are you holding up. The stench of that impala is all over your over coat angel.” So Crowley thinks Cas and Dean are haveing sex in the car by the sounds of it. I just found this funny considering only a few eps before the angel told Dean Cas was in love with him.
The fact that Cas was loosing his mind yet he still had to protect Dean and yet again he protected Dean first before Bobby and Sam and there was a small pause before he said “my friend.” It was like he wasn’t sure what to call Dean. Even at the end when Dean called Cas his family I think it surprised him. As soon as Dean said family Cas looked shocked. I think sometimes in the season he thought Dean just called him because he needed help not for any other reason and then knowing Dean thinks of him as family really surprised him. I know Dean said Cas was like a brother to him but I think he just didn’t know how to express his feeling without actually saying the truth and that was the easiest thing to say.
The moment tho that for me it all changed was when Cas was in the oil fire. Dean told Cas to look his in the eyes. It sounded like I know Bobby and Sam are here too but how could you do this to me. I’m different from them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They both looked like they were trying not to cry. Both their eyes were glassy. Even Dean looking back at Cas before he left was emotional. He didn’t want to leave Cas in that fire. That whole scene to me was them admitting the truth to themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In ep 21 I can’t believe how emotional this scene was. Like all Dean said was that Cas and Crowley can kiss his ass. Cas looks so hurt and scared and Dean has to actually put his hand up to his mouth to stop from crying.
I find it interesting that this is when they choose to get Lisa and Ben out of Deans life. I’m happy that they finally did it but it’s just interesting timeing. They could’ve done it at any point but no they chose to do it during this very Destiel episode.
Tumblr media
I’ve heard that whenever Cas dies (which I’ve also heard is quite a few times) Dean gets depressed and suicidal. I guess in The New Boss was the beginning of it. I’m pretty sure drinking that much alcohol and watching Asian cartoon porn is considered depressed.
When Cas went to the church and the homophobic priest was trying to tell the people how god hates gay people and Cas says “your wrong. I’m utterly indifferent to sexual orientation.” They didn’t have to have the priest talk about gay people but they did. Then Cas confirming his opinion on it.
Then when they were trying to get death to kill Cas (I’m not convinced Dean would’ve let him actually do that) when death said there was more then just souls in Cas Dean looks worried for Cas. If he was willing to let death kill him he wouldn’t have been so worried.
Every time in these eps that Cas came it was always to talk to Dean never to talk to Sam. He didn’t care what Sam thought he just wanted Dean to understand what he was doing. Even when he thought he was going to die he was trying to make up with Dean. Bobby was in the room and Sam was in the building but it was Dean he wanted to make up with and it was Dean he said he was going to redeem himself to. He f*cked over a lot of people but he didn’t say I’m going to redeem myself to everyone or even you guys (as in Dean, Bobby and Sam). It was just Dean.
Last thing I think this was the first time I ever seen Dean choosing to save someone other than Sam first. When Dean went to get Sam and seen the jar of blood on the floor he had no idea what happened to Sam. Any other time he would’ve went back to Bobby with the blood and told Bobby to handle it so he could go find Sam but this time he chose to stay and save Cas. Even when those monsters took over Cas body Dean told Bobby to go get Sam. By the sounds of it he is starting to put Cas ahead of Sam. I like that.

Strawberry Bracket: Round 2, Poll 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda from submitters Under Cut
Dio Brando
A certified BITCH. You could use any adjective of that little list of yours on him and be correct
I know you said more jerks and not villains but like. He's like one of the og blonde assholes. He's just an absolute prick.
Kicked a dog for no fucking reason and then became an immortal vampire guy, killed his brother and then spent 200 years in a coffin in the depths of the ocean. Was eventually rescued. Didn’t change at all. Rest in peace Danny. Never forget never forgive
He's such a diva. He's terrible from episode one. He burns the protag's dog and tries to poison his father to get money. You think that's bad enough? It gets worse. He turns himself willingly into a vampire to be even more of a problem. From there, he lounges mysteriously in the dark and makes his minions attack one family over and over for GENERATIONS. He's literally the villain and the drama of every part. And even after he's defeated? His LEG BONE and a priest who was very gay for his blonde jerk self keep causing issues. Most mean girl ever. What an icon. He's also canonically bi
Char Aznable
He's extremely blonde and he's a total asshole. he has had a gay thing with 2 people and tried to kill both of them. he makes a new identity and its arguably more blonde and more of an asshole. look up Quattro Bajeena
Snooty little motherfucker supreme. "I have never betrayed anyone in my life" says man who spent his whole career lying to people. He's in love with his rival and he won't admit it. He's my silly rabbit. He is the "I came here to laugh at you" guy

A priest fucking me while explaining how homosexuality is a sin, feeling his hands start roaming when I showed up to explain my distress over being gay, feeling them on my shoulders for the initial reaction of comforting before telling me he wants to do a more private lecture for this problem. The gentleness as he’s running his hands through my hair and pulling it from the floor I’m pressed against when he wants me to tell him I understand what he’s saying.

The cultists' nervous but polite questioning had turned into desperate and slightly terrified pleading.
"Kids, chill out. It's just a date."
The head priest presses a shaking hand to his forehead and reminds himself to use his inside voice when talking to the literal goddess currently trying to mold a body of solid light into something that'll look good in a cocktail dress.
"Dawn Mother please listen. She's clearly a spawn of Dark birthed from the Void Between Stars. Her children are beasts of the night, her very form shifts like a shadow, and we're pretty sure she controls the tides-"
"What's wrong with controlling the tides?"
"That's not the point!" the head priest takes a breath. Inside voice. Inside voice. "Just...Please, Please reconsider inviting a powerful horror terror into our inner sanctum."
The goddess tuts and pats the priest on the head with a giant hand that leaves another sun bleached white streak in his hair.
"Come on now, I would never invite her over on the first date. She's not going to meet you kids until we think it's serious. This is just, you know, a little fun." The Dawn Mother pushes the mass of light up into an impressive bust and considers her new shape for a moment before literally pouring herself into the dress. "You know Mama needs her fun every once in a while or things start to burn."
That wasn't a threat exactly. She'd never threaten them.
But.
The head priest sighs, defeated. "Understood. Good luck with your...date. And be careful. Please."
A beam of light kisses him on the top of the head and he gains another streak.
"You worry too much. Go to the alter if you need me. I'll have all prayers on silent but I'll pick up right away so don't hesitate to call out. Lock the doors, Dinner is in the fridge, and no fighting."
The light in the grand temple dims as the Dawn Mother fades from view like a sunset. "Listen to your big brother! I love you all!~" She says as she disappears, leaving nothing but disembodied sunbeams and warm stone.
The head priest sighs. Nobody ever listens to him in this fucking cult.
over on patreon Gay Spaceship asked for 'sun and moon cosmic horror lesbians' so i made two moms ready to Brady Bunch their respective followings together. Dawn doesn't really see a problem with her new girlfriend. Luna is wonderful! sweetest being she's ever known with a unique loving family. all this Horror Terror business is just the kids catastrophising again. poor things are scared of their own shadows.
also, important size difference:
Tumblr media
Dawn can technically be any size she wants but she's usually around 9-12ft tall while Luna's illuminated form fluctuates between 3.5 and 4ft.

CATHOLIC MC WHO GETS SENT INTO HELL?! NOT CLICKBAIT!!!!! (part two)
Tumblr media
introduction, part one, part two (you are here), part three
Warnings: None? Mentions of religion (obviously) and GN but AFAB MC,Mammon being an idiot, and me not being able to type irish accents out phonetically.
The sound of the council room door beckons the brothers to look toward it, Diavolo’s gaze stays upon the litte human in front of him. How interesting! This was a rare insight into human world culture, he couldn’t look away!
Barbatos stands at the doorway, explaining that Simeon was helping Solomon with a spell and he would be in the student council room the moment it was safe to walk away from the cauldron.
Diavolo nods, looking back to MC, who is currently praying. (surprise surprise) Well Simeon would be here soon!
.
.
.
Simeon arrives by the door with Solomon and Luke in tow, his calmed smile slightly strained as he asks what exactly the problem is.
"What the problem is?! This!" Mammon says, or rather, shouts. "This right 'ere is the problem!" He points towards MC and Simeon's gorgeous blue eyes widen, just a little.
Hearing a gasp from Luke, he immediately turns around, concern for the young angel quickly vanishes when he sees the stars in the young boy's eyes.
Simeon nods, so the young angel felt it too. The aura was pure..someone had been praying.
That someone must be the young human on their knees. Simeon chuckled, it was an adorable sight.
“MC was it?” he asks gently, making sure to shove on his halo before the human looked up, immediately, they ceased, their tense posture relaxing.
“Y-yeah.” MC nods, Simeon can see the relief on their face. What an adorable human, Diavolo seems to agree as he coos softly and tries to cover it up.
Simeon was doing just fine in calming the little thing down, before, like usual, the brothers had to be chaotic.
“So MC, are ya normal now”
Simeon swears to Michael he is going to glare somewhat meanly at Mammon.
Thats all it takes to send MC back into panic, except this time they’re more of a logical approach and…
…bless their bottle of riverrock water.
…Making it holy water.
…And then chucking it at Mammon….
…and missing…
(moreso Mammom dived to the ground Rocky Style so it hit Asmo)
..the champagne haired demon screeches like all nine cricles of hell just went up in flames AGAIN.
Its a bit of an overreaction seeing as Asmodeus is one of the most powerful demons in the Devildom so Holy Water is more like a dull bee sting.
Lucifer sighs. Simeon tenses. Solomon is fucking cackling.
All the while MC stares at their hands, “…I can make Holy Water….Im not a priest…” they look down at their very much female school uniform “or a biological male…”
The confusion, thankfully, is what allows Solomon to swoop in like the housefly he is and take the bottle of Holy Water from the clearly dazed human.
This is an opening that Diavolo exploits. “So MC, we truly mean you no harm…! I’m Lord Diavolo, Prince of the Devildom and Acting Ruler! You’re here as an exchange student for a year as we chose you!” He says cheerfully, careful eyes watching MCs reaction.
“What.The.Fuck.” MC says, more to theirself than anyone else.
“We sent you an email.” Barbatos adds in gracefully.
“Oh. Must be in my spam folder. Also who checks their email.” MC looks around the room calmly. “So who are these emos?”
The black haired man from before steps forward a devilish smirk on his devilishly handsome face, “I’m Lucifer, the eldest brother and the Avatar of Pride.”
“Gay.” MC then turns to the Irish One who’s suprisingly not paler than milk (the Irish don’t exist)
“I’m the Great Mammon! Avatar of Greed…don't be messin’ wi’ me human.”
MC nods shakily, making a clear note to ask later if he has an Autism diagnosis.

i wanna prod at ur catholic confession post actually. like yes, murder and child rape is obviously bad and there is an inherent problem with how the catholic church shields abusers. but i think removing some of the restrictions of what a priest can or cannot say about a confession could cause some problems. like, for example, how a lot of priests considerer LGBT people to be child abusers/predatory! hypothetically if the cath church made it so preists could openly condemn confessions guilty of child abuse, and if the church considers identifying as LGBT as child abuse, then that could cause problems if someone confessed to IDing as gay/trans. or alternatively, what if someone confesses to killing a rapist/sexual abuser. a priest could use that confession to testify against them and get them imprisoned. is it ok to imprison people for murdering their abusers? idk, but i dont like the idea of the catholic church having that power having a blanket statement that priests cant mention ANY confessions makes it *slightly* more immune to corruption IMO. obviously i dont think this solution is perfect, but my alternative would be to dissolve the catholic church entirely, and i dont think thats happening anytime soon.
well as you point out there isn't really a good solution to this, and that is because the idea of confession is inherently dumb as fuck. everything the catholic church considers a sin falls into one of three categories:
failing to be pious enough (forgetting to pray, missing church, taking the Lord's name in vain). keeping these secret is fine because they aren't, like, actual crimes, and in small + devout enough communities there are definitely priests who would gossip about to their neighbors if not for the confessional seal.
really cool and good activities that are only an issue if you were raised to believe that they would send you to eternal neverending torture after death (jacking off, being gay, having premarital sex, getting/considering an abortion). these should obviously be kept secret because they're embarrassing and potentially dangerous. however, this is kind of a moot point, because any decent person (priest or otherwise) would understand this without needing a confessional seal making it official. so these need the seal to stop the average priest from tattling to a kid's parents when they confide in them.
actual literal crimes with prison sentences and everything (rape, murder, manslaughter, assault). you should not be telling anyone about these if you can help it. what the fuck guys. this isn't even an ethics thing, this is a "don't be fucking stupid" thing. if you murdered your abuser and got away with it, good for you! now shut the fuck up about it because murder is still illegal. is the guilt eating you alive so badly that you need absolution from God about it (cringe)? do what Protestants figured out centuries ago and cut the middleman out of the equation by talking to the J.C. directly via personal prayer! yes i am aware this is heretical. if you care about heresy more than getting caught you are stupid.
so looking at the three points above, the best argument in favor of confessional seal that i can formulate is "sure, it allows murderers and abusers to literally have their actions condoned by God with the explicit guarantee of never being held legally accountable or even changing their behavior (just say a few Hail Maries), but think about the consequences of removing it! priests would be even MORE bigoted than they already are! some of them might even GOSSIP!" like hm, okay, i hear you, you make some excellent points, i think we should nuke the Vatican

now i understand why people have priest kinks and wanna fuck in a confessional or on the altar bc like…imagine reclaiming your homosexuality and love in gods church. prompt below omg
u just can’t help to watch the priest every sunday service your parents make you attend. your parents- they don’t respect who you are. they think the tranny faggot you became was from how they raised you and who you were friends with. they force you to talk to the priest alone- hoping the gay will leave your soul if you talk in a small booth where no one but the father can hear you. no one but the father and the god they say hates you. n the father is not one of those homophobic older men either- but he’s just critical and mean enough that your thoughts of sex are more horrible than the fact you are transsexual and lusting after men.
he’s mean, he’s critical- but he knows his transgressions too. and he notices the way you sit in the front with your parents- strong thighs clenching together at random intervals and when you two make eye contact. he would admit to god that he craves you- craves to desecrate and defile you further. he’s got hardly any guilt about when he forces the confessional open, large form grabbing you and kissing and groping and you didn’t expect this. he didn’t ask because he KNEW how desperate you were for him.
he pets you, he grabs and manhandles you and kisses you like he’s dying without it. he forces the ugly dress your parents make you wear (because you live under their roof and being a grown adult means nothing) past your ass and bites and licks like no one is watching- like god isn’t looking down on you two fucking on the altar in his church. you will regret the way you mewl and moan but will always remember the way father praises and degrades you all at once- calling you a good boy and saying how ugly the dress is but how good it looks on your boyish hips and framing your boxer clad cunt. he devours you whole and without shame- and every time you come back to church.
you will know that you committed sin- but maybe it’s okay. maybe transgenderism and homosexuality are the least of your problems when the priest abuses his power over you and you eat it up. you eat it up because he adores you and makes you feel like a man even without trying

Here’s some crack fics I wrote a month ago that haunt my restless dreams. Behold.
———
The archive is on fire
this bothers nobody.
the tape recorder is on, rolling like proud Mary.
”Martin came into work today, fucking hate that man. Wish he would die. I’m such a good boss”
the door opens, and in comes Martin Crackhorn. “Sup you sexy snake, want some leaf juice?” “Fuck off you bastard, I’m reading about the mentally Ill.”
martin blushes.
Tim bursts through the wall like the kill aid man, dressed head to dog in mr bonzo merch. And lingerie, but no one cares about that—there are more pressing matters.
“I solved the arg mother fuckers, here’s my girlfriend.” Alice hand drier walked in on the ceiling, because trans people don’t like physics or any of its motives. “Wassup bitches, gimme a twenty.”
“Why?” Sasha asks, crawling out from her desk chewing a table. “Because I’m so sexy that’s why.”
They all nod in agreement.
“Welp,” Elias says, notifying to everyone that he was still there with a slap of his 200 hundred year old knees. “I’m getting another divorce today, can’t stick around.”
“Leave my dad alone!” Martin and Tim say, glaring at each other before Martin stabs Tim in the elbow. “They! That was new!!”
Jon sighs. “I wish mr spider had just eaten me instead of billy wheeler.”
“Womp womp” says nikola, taking his ear and chewing it like Tabasco.
“I hate this life.” Gerry says, “make out with me,” says the sexy yellow door.
“No thanks, I’m a book, we will never work.” Micheal runs away crying.
“what did you just say to my grandson?” Gertrude has risen from the dead. “I think you’re confused gramma.” “No, I’m Gertrude.”
Eric is in the corner putting his eyes back in, but they’re backwards and he is horrified by the sight of his own Brian.
”marry me Juliet,” says Martin to his emotionally constipated boss. “No! I’m busy.” He picks up the binoculars and looks at Tim who is sat two feet from him on Alice’s lap.
“Omg that’s so gay.” Alice is weeping openly now.
Peter walks in, the room goes misty.
“There you are, my prized little problem.”
“Dad!” Elias gets a weird look, but no one follows up on it because Tim is missing both his girlfriend and his knees.
Peter dips out after punching Jon in the emotions.
”I can see it all.” Jon gets punched by Daisy, who immediately smooches bassira on the forehead before jumping into the coffin.
“Well,” “shit,” Berlin and Hoop are pale and normal looking, pay no attention to the zippers on their necks.
”it’s time to d-d-d-duel!” Mary has been skinned. Everyone ignores her. As they should.
“Well,” Martin wants to say he didn’t see this coming, but he did. “I’m going to marry you.”
“Oh word?” Jon and Martin have a wedding in spring. It is delightful, no one dies, and the priest is just happy to be free from the meaty clutch.
Jared hopworth is the flower girl. It does not end well.
The eyepocolypse is avoided, but Daisy still does because it’s what she deserves.
Elias gets killed by jurgen lightener, who immediately dies of Ligma.
All is well, except for Tim. He is suffering.
Click.
———
Heavy metal blasts from her mouth.
”wassup twot, where’s the cheese?” Mary sighed. “We ‘ave non.” “Bullshit, give me the cheese before I ceaseless watcher you.”
Mary visibly tenses. She pulls out an uno reverse.
Gertrude eats it.
”Dearly beloved, get wrecked.” Gertrude does a backflip.
”I want your lungs.” “No, that’s gay.”
The crusty dusty old bitches fight. Gertrude wins, the absolute girlboss.
Micheal comes out from Gerry’s room, no one ask why.
“Oh no!” Gertrude’s eyebrows run away. “The consequences of my actions!”
“I’m going to kill you.”
“Nuh uh.”
.
.
.
a gunshot rings out.
Gerry is an orphan, Mary is still alive, Micheal is single, and Gertrude is secretly John Cena, hence why the eye couldn’t see her.
”if you don’t like my killer attitude—“
Eric bursts in. “You’re cheating on me?!”
“What? No?” Gertrude is a confused old lady.
“Not you— her.” “Oh, yes. She’s a lying scumbag.”
Eric gets the rusty shears, but trips and dies. Not on the shears, but from embarrassment and testicular blueness.
“Gerry wants to die.” No one knows who said it, but it’s very true.
So he does.
momstermf enermguy. Bag for lumgs.
”I want to marry you so that we can divorce.” “Alright Elias, calm your saggy tits.”
No one is happy, and Micheal is still a door.
“Don’t @ me.” Gertrude is dead now, and all is at peace.
———
Martin was hungy. Tim owned a pet gorldfish.
Can I make it anymore obvious?
”Martini, you absolute gay barnacle, have you seen my fish Charles-Jevil—“
Marin is choking on the fish. Greedy bastard.
Jon is crying in disappointment and also because of his severe and chronic lack of parents.
Sasha is dead. No one knows why.
Tim has a gun, and breaks through a wall just to walk back in through the front door.
Will wood is blasting from every device, electronic and not.
It’s just Red Moon. Again, and again.
Elias walks in, hears will wood, and because he is a homophobe he immediately dies.
Agnes would have come, but she was on a date with her boyfriend because they deserve happiness and they get it.
Tim has been c4’d by Martin. The audience cheers, then weeps until the archive is flooded.
”My paper-work!” “Jon you fucking neek, no one cares about the fucking boxes you foolish bitch!!”
Jon is having a panic attack, and the water has eaten his shoes.
Tim has forgotten his anger, and since he is a ghost, he can get his pet fish back from Hades, Orpheus style.
Spoiler, he looked back. She died.

The Yellowjackets as things I’ve heard pt6:
Misty: Social anxiety is just conspiracy theories about yourself
Shauna: I think my problem started when I asked the priest at church what I should do to get into hell
Mari: ok I might be stupid but don’t assume I can’t manipulate anyone because of it !!
Van: No matter the hardships I’ve had to endure, I’m still luckily gay and stupid
Lottie: She was so off putting that I had to make her my girlfriend
Jackie: Feeling very like “Waffle House Employee circa Lana Del Ray, 2023” today
Nat: The only reason I said “I love u” to him wasn’t because I loved him- I just wanted to have the last word
Tai: If I tried hard enough I think I could fix all members of Fleetwood Mac
Travis: If anyone else says “girl” to me now I will jump

OMG propmt time! Uuuuuuuuh…. Well I uh…I KNOW where panchito abandons Jose in the middle of the night, but then months later he comes back but finds Jose in a new house about to get engaged to this other guy, and panchito is like, “ oh pleaseee forgive me! Be with me !” But Jose wan nona dat so it’s like going back and forward with panchito trying to screw up the relationship but Jose actually want to be happy for once in his life and actually loves the guy he is engaged to so idk how to end it tbh.
This is so long 😭😭😭 I’m sorry
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry this took so long. I really went crazy with it so it's pretty long! I tried to keep it as close to what you wanted as I could! I hope you enjoy it and thank you for sending me the prompt!
Having a gay crisis about one of your best friends was one thing.
Having a gay crisis after you spend a long passion-filled night with one of your best friends was something entirely different.
Running from problems was not something Panchito usually did, preferring to face them head-on so he could solve them and get on with his life. Running was something cowards did, especially when it was not only you but also involved a dear one’s thoughts and feelings as well, and this time Panchito could call himself nothing other than that.
The panic had set in as soon as José’s eyes had closed, his breathing even and soft as the cold sickening feeling of dread started to fill Panchito’s stomach. He only waited until he was sure that José was truly asleep before moving quickly, grabbing his clothes and shoving them into his bag as quietly as he could before bolting out into the dark night.
Traveling back to Mexico with memories of that night had been torture. Remembering the way José’s face had grown red as he whispered things in Portuguese that Panchito hadn’t fully understood but caught enough of the meaning. How their kisses had felt electric, the feeling of his body pressed against Panchito’s, and how tightly he had held Panchito’s hand as they both finished with groans.
It was strange how badly it hurt when he only received one text from José asking if he was okay and then received nothing else even when Panchito tried to text or call.
He didn’t blame José.
If anyone had treated any of his sisters, or brothers to be fair, like that he would have hogtied them and dragged them through the town behind Señor Martinez for everyone to shame them for doing such a thing. He had thought about doing it to himself, but Señor Martinez would have never done anything to hurt him so Panchito had settled for going to his hometown Parish and asking if he could stay there for the time being. He did not dare try to go to his parent's home with his head filled with such confusion and turmoil, they would never leave him be.
Though alone, Panchito’s thoughts were only filled with José.
How he smelled. Castile soap, Malbec cologne, and the faint hint of cigar smoke since José had started smoking outside because it bothered both Donald and Panchito.
The way the feathers around his neck and cheeks would fluff up when he started to lose his temper.
How well he could hold his liquor until suddenly he couldn’t and he became the most clingy thing anyone had ever come across.
His favorite foods. His favorite music. His favorite places.
Panchito even missed how deceiving José could be.
Father Quintero had been very kind, letting Panchito stay with him and help around the parish wherever it was needed. The man did not ask Panchito what was bothering him or why he was back, only told him that he was there to listen if Panchito needed to talk. It wasn’t until he had been there for a month that Panchito finally broke down and confessed everything that he had been thinking, feeling, and had done to the priest after Father Quintero asked why Panchito never seemed to play his guitar or sing anymore.
The reason was because it made him ache for the bird he had left behind.
Father Quintero had listened calmly, handing him tissues when Panchito had been unable to hold back tears and a soft hand on his back when he would get choked on words he had been too afraid to say before.
“I love him.” It was whimpered, words raw and cracking as they came out of his mouth. “I love him more than a friend and not like a brother.”
It had taken weeks of talking, Panchito questioning Father Quintero on every single possible thing that he could think of now that he could admit his heart truly belonged to another man. He had been surprised when the priest never seemed to judge him or tell him that his feelings were vile and sinful. Only would take his hand and make sure Panchito was looking him in the eyes before he said, “You are a good soul, Francsico. It is my opinion that it is your actions that God looks at when our time comes and not those we love. I do not believe love can be a sin because it is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.”
It was another two weeks of thinking before he packed up his guitar, thanked Father Quintero for all of his help and set off with determination in his heart.
He would go back to José, not to beg for another chance, but to apologize fully and wholeheartedly for what he had done to someone so dear.
Talking to Donald before traveling to Brazil had been one of the scariest and most hurtful moments in Panchito’s life. Donald was angry. Livid. Things were thrown at him, and truly nasty, ugly words yelled at him right on Donald’s front door.
He had told Panchito to go away, that he wanted nothing to do with someone who would treat a friend the way Panchito had, and slammed the door in his face. Panchito had gone back to his hotel room, surprised when at three in the morning a text from Donald woke him up.
Donald: You are an absolute bastard who doesn’t deserve any kind of kindness after what you did…
Donald: But you are still my friend and I love you…
Donald: Bring lunch over tomorrow. Nothing cheap. I’m pissed as hell and I will be even more angry if you bring fast food.
The lunch had lasted well into the night, from glasses filled with soda to being refilled with whiskey. The first few hours Panchito got another verbal lashing, and he sat and took it because it was what he deserved, but after that real conversations started.
“Did you know he’s engaged?”
Panchito’s shock must have shown on his face because Donald gave him a look with a raised eyebrow and Panchito had to clamp down on the feeling of hurt. It had only been two and a half months since he had held José in his arms and the other had whispered words of affection into his ear, had he been that easy to move on from? Anger sparked for just a moment before Panchito told himself he wasn’t allowed to feel that way.
He had left first.
“No,” Panchito whispered, putting his head in his hands, feeling more defeated and sad than he had his entire life. “I didn’t. Rosinha?”
Donald snorted and Panchito knew it was a dumb question to ask.
He loved José, but the parrot truly made a lot of bad decisions, especially when it came to the women in his life and how he treated them. Rosinha had been one of the most frequent victims of José’s fickle and flighty interests, putting up with so much that both Donald and Panchito were relieved when she finally had enough. She and José had stayed friends which was a miracle and some ugly part of Panchito hoped that because he hadn’t done anything as bad as José had to Rosinha maybe they could at least stay as friends.
A thought that had come up numerous times while he had been away floated up and he looked up at Donald. “Do…do you think I was just a fling?”
Donald sent him a glare. “Would that make you feel better? That running away wasn’t so bad as long as it didn’t mean anything to him?”
Panchito hunched his shoulders, feeling ashamed because it was true, but at the same time the idea of José seeing him as nothing but a friend to have a fun night with made him feel sick.
Donald sighed after a moment and shook his head. “No, Panchito. José can be awful, but you are his friend first and foremost. He wouldn’t have risked that for sex unless he felt that way towards you.”
By the time one in the morning came, Panchito found himself on Donald’s couch a bit drunk with Donald’s arms wrapped around him in an embrace that made Panchito’s already red-rimmed eyes water again. Donald let him stay at his house while Panchito sorted everything out and for the first time in two and a half months, Panchito picked up his guitar and started to work on a new song.
Finding José had not been hard, his new fiancée was an actress from a wealthy and respectable family in Brazil and they frequently went to and threw several events. While finding José had not been hard, getting into the soonest party he would be at was. He’d had to use his charm and disguise techniques he’d learned as a Caballero just to get in the band that was playing for the event.
He hadn’t even taken off his fake beard when he heard José speak.
“Ah. Hello, meu amigo.” José’s voice carried a friendly tone, but it sounded flat and off to Panchito’s ears. “To what do I owe the pleasure of you sneaking into my fiancée’s gala?”
Panchito felt a lump in his throat as he slowly stood and turned, terrified now that he was face to face with José. He had been thinking about this moment for so long and now that he was here nerves threatened to take over but moved past it and took a deep breath. “I came to apologize.”
There was no look of shock or anger, just a mild look of curiosity and an easy smile that did not reach the parrot's eyes. “Oh? For what, Paco?”
Panchito frowned, frustrated at the nonchalant act, before he took a step forward toward the Parrot, instinctively reaching out. He froze when José gave the smallest of flinches at the movement and Panchito immediately dropped his arms and pulled back. He let out a soft sad sigh before shaking his head and looking back up at the man who owned his heart.
“For that night. I had-“ Panchito stopped when José clicked his tongue and waved his hand in Panchito’s direction in a dismissive way.
“Oh, dear Panchito,” Jose shook his head. “You do not have to apologize. It was a moment of crazy passion, nothing else.”
Panchito’s heart hammered in his chest, courage rapidly fading as those light brown eyes stared at him as if Panchito was just another random person in the room.
“But I do,” Panchito replied, pushing past any of his feelings of fear and hurt. “I did something someone should never do to a friend. Especially to a friend that they love. Love more than anything.”
The sudden look of fear in José’s eyes made Panchito’s heart clench and he took a step back when José took a threatening step towards him. Green feathers around his neck and cheeks ruffled in anger even as his expression smoothed out into a distorted look of forced friendliness that honestly scared Panchito.
José laid a hand on his shoulder, grip tight enough to cause Panchito to wince and sway when José gave him a ‘playful’ shake.
“I said,” Jose replied. “There is nothing to apologize for, meu amigo. So let us leave it at that.”
Panchito was not given a choice, José letting go of his shoulder and walking away without even a single look back. Crying right now in front of a large group of people was not ideal and Panchito took a deep steadying breath to compose himself as José’s figure disappeared amongst the crowd.
Give up.
He clearly does not want to think about that night.
Or about you for that matter.
Give up. Go home. You failed.
He should give up. He should go home. But he wouldn’t. He was done being a coward.
Panchito went back to the band, asking them for one very large favor before he set up to play their setlist. Pure stubbornness allowed him to play through their music with no issue, his anxiety quieted as his fingers strummed the strings of his guitar. It was only when they had finished their sixth song and the leader of the band announced they had something new for the audience that Panchito felt the unsettling creep of fear.
Panchito attached the strap to his guitar with shaking fingers, slipping it over his neck as he stood and moved over toward the microphone. He swallowed thickly and nodded when the other singer clapped him on the back and muttered words of good luck before leaving him alone at the front of the stage. Panchito made sure the microphone was in the right place to pick up both his voice and guitar before taking in a settling breath and pulling up the courage he used to know so well.
He laid his calloused fingers against the frets, his other hand moving to very gently brush against the strings and he looked out into the crowd to see if he could find José. There was no sign of the parrot and Panchito refused to let the hurt and fear take over that José wouldn’t even hear what he had made.
As a last-minute thought, he decided to switch the words he had written for the man from English to Spanish. José knew English fluently but Spanish was a little harder, especially since Portuguese was so close to it that there were often misunderstandings. That way, José would hear his song but could decide for himself if he wanted to hear Panchito’s apology. It was all José’s choice and Panchito let everything go as he poured all that he felt into the first gentle cords of the song.
Hola mi amigo, mi querido, mi amor. (Hello My friend, My dear, My love.)
¿Me estás escuchando? (Are you listening?) Hay tantas cosas que quiero decir. (There are so many things I want to say.) Tantas palabras que me han llevado a llenar la página. (So many words that have filled the page.)
¿Puedes hablar? (Can you speak?) Necesito tu voz como en las canciones que solíamos cantar. (I need your voice like in our songs we used to sing.) Una hermosa armonía entrelazada como un sencillo anillo de oro. (A beautiful harmony like a simple gold ring.)
Hay muchas cosas que desearía no haber hecho. (There’s many things I wish I didn’t do.) Como no quedarme hasta que saliera el sol contigo. (Not staying till the sun rose with you.) O huir porque tenía miedo de lo que significaba. (Running because I was scared of what it meant.) No pensar en lo que eso significaría para ti.  (Not thinking what it would do to you.)
Hola mi amigo, mi querido, mi amor. (Hello My friend, My dear, My love.) Lo siento por haberte herido. (I’m sorry that I hurt you.) Hola mi amigo, mi querido, mi amor. (Hello My Friend, My dear, My Love.) Lo siento por haberte dejado. (I’m sorry that I left you.)
No sé si este llamado te llegará. (I don’t know if this call will reach you.) Sé que esto no es ni remotamente suficiente. (I know it’s not nearly enough) Mi amor es cristalino, claro como mi mente. (My love is crystal, clear just like my head.) Me tomó tiempo y ahora, lamentablemente, es tarde. (It took time and now it is unfortunately late.)
Si no es así, mi corazón y mi alma te daré. (If it is not, my heart and soul to you I’ll give) Estaré contigo y cuidaré de ti mientras viva. (Be with you and take care of you as long as I live) Si es así, por favor, no te preocupes, no te molestaré. (If it is, please do not worry, I will not bother you.) En mis sueños te abrazaré fuerte y rápido. (In dreams I’ll hold you close and hold you fast.)
Te deseo solo cosas buenas. (I wish you only good things.) Una vida plena y libre. (A life full and free.)
Buenas noches mi amigo, mi querido, mi amor. (Goodnight My friend, My dear, My love.) Lo siento por haberte herido. (I’m sorry that I hurt you.) Adiós mi amigo, mi querido, mi amor. (Goodbye My Friend, My dear, My Love.) Lo siento por haberte dejado. (I’m sorry that I left you.)
The applause startled Panchito, so lost in pouring his heart out that he had forgotten where he was for a moment. He once again tried to look through the crowd, but when there was no sign of José Panchito could only bow and step back as the band continued with their songs.
He heard nothing from José for the rest of the time he spent in Brazil.
Nothing from José as he flew back to his home where he sat his parents down to tell them of his love for another man.
Nothing as he stayed home for a few months to help around the house as well as going to visit Father Quintero, doing a few odd jobs for the priest when he needed help.
Nothing as he planned his yearly trip north to visit Donald and the family, making sure that he would not be coming around the time José did. It used to be something José and he did together, but Panchito knew that wasn’t something he could have anymore.
“Did you know your song is crazy popular in Brazil?” Donald questioned as they sat at his dinner table one morning, Panchito sipping his second cup of coffee because he had already been up with the sun while Donald stirred his first with a sleepy stare.
Panchito nodded. “Si, I know. Someone called a while back to see if I would be willing to record it.”
Donald glanced up from his coffee to look at him. “Are you going to?”
“No,” Panchito said with a small smile, time had given him a quiet sense of melancholy peace. “The song is not for everyone. It is only for him.”
Donald didn’t say any more about it and they moved on with his visit.
It was on the day that he was leaving Duckburg, bags packed and a plane ticket bought for Italy, that Panchito finally heard something.
The soft knock on his motel room door made him frown as he shoved his toothbrush and toothpaste into a plastic bag. He had said his goodbyes to Donald and the family yesterday after they had all gone ice skating so he could not figure out who would be at his door. Maybe housekeeping? But he had put the little sign on the door to refuse that, hadn’t he?
“Sorry!” He called. “I don’t need that today, but thank you!”
It was quiet on the other side and Panchito was about to go back to packing when he heard a familiar sigh through the door. His heart leaped into his throat when he heard the soft smooth voice he loved so dearly speak. “Do not leave me out here, Paco. People will start to suspect I am up to no good.”
Panchito had never moved as fast as he did to fling open that door, breath leaving him at the sight of José being there, right on the doorstep of his motel. José smiled, but it was unsure and his expression was guarded as he looked up at Panchito before looking past him into the room.
“May I come in?” José asked easily and Panchito wondered how the other bird could lock away any emotions so easily. “I would rather talk in privacy and not in earshot of the man who is filling a large trash bin with complimentary ice for a reason I don’t want to think about.”
“Ay!” Panchito cried, quickly moving to the side so that José could come inside. “Of course, of course! Can I get you something to drink? I have…water from the faucet.”
José shook his head, watching as Panchito shut the door before moving to stand next to the plain desk in the room. “Não. Thank you but I will not be staying long.”
“Oh.” Panchito hated how sad and disappointed his voice sounded, trying not to let his feelings get the better of him. José had finally reached out and he would let himself ruin it by doing something foolish. “What did you want to talk about?”
“Donald said you wouldn’t be recording your song.”
“Ah.” Panchito suddenly felt tired. “No.”
José stared down at the desk as if it had something interesting on it. “Why not? So many people would buy it. It truly is a hit in South America, especially in Brazil.”
“You know why.”
That answer seemed to irritate José, a frown suddenly on his face and an annoyed huff slipping out as he turned to look at Panchito fully. “Then why play it in front of such a large crowd?”
Panchito gave a weak shrug. “It was the only way I knew that you might listen.”
José snorted and crossed his arms over his chest, eyes moving to look down at the floor. “Do you know how frustrating it is? To hear that song everywhere? A song that I didn’t want to hear? You could not leave it alone could you?”
Panchito shrank back a bit when José looked up at him with such anger that Panchito wondered if this was it. This was when José would finally tell him that he wanted nothing more to do with him. “I’m sorry, Zé.”
“Oh. I am well aware, Panchito.” José growled. “You keep saying sorry, telling the world you are sorry and your feelings for me. Yet you keep running.”
“Que?!” Panchito cried, suddenly so confused. “How? How did I run again?”
“You came back into my life and sang one of the most beautiful songs about how much you loved me and then just left again!” José yelled, green feathers fluffing up in a way that even though Panchito knew it meant he was angry the sight made his heart beat hard with love. “Not one word from you after! For almost a year!”
Panchito stared at him in shock. “You wanted me to? You made it clear you did not want to listen to me so after I left you alone!”
“Of course, I didn’t want to listen to you!!” José cried, moving closer to Panchito with his finger raised. “Because I knew if I did I would fall again because I’m weak to you! I know I lie and people distrust me, but I have never lied to you when it was important. All those words I said that night were true, Panchito, every single one.”
The room was quiet except for José’s heavy breathing, but Panchito could swear the sound of his heartbeat was loud enough that José could hear it. It was like stepping on thin ice, the choice he was about to make was very likely to break whatever this was and have him sinking into a cold world where José was gone for good.
“Were?” Panchito questioned softly and he watched as José’s face changed to confusion, anger, and then fear.
“Ah, Escroto.” José choked out, his voice cracking as Panchito could see the parrot’s eyes grow wet with tears. “Were…and are. Of course, it is all still true.”
“Zé…” Panchito reached out and this time José did not try to move away, letting Panchito take his hands in his and stand close. “Whatever you want from me, I’ll give it. Even if it is only as a bandmate or less, I don’t care as long as I can still have you in my life.”
“You are truly such a depressing romantic,” José muttered, the humor there amongst the raw ugly feelings.
“I try,” Panchito replied and sighed in relief when José wrapped his arms around him and hugged him and he held the parrot back tightly. “But only for you.”
“Please stop,” José grumbled. “I can only take so much of your selfless declarations of love before I feel sick.”
“Alright,” Panchito whispered, the feeling of having José around him again making him feel lightheaded and he dared to rest his cheek on top of José’s head softly. “What do we do now?”
He felt José’s shoulders sag, any tension in the parrot’s body leaving as he leaned his weight against Panchito. José was quiet for a bit before he moved his head out from under Panchito’s cheek and looked up at the rooster with a determined look.
“Well, first I believe you need to treat me to lunch.” José started and Panchito was nodding before he could even think. “Then I want to hear that song again, without hundreds of other people in the room, and you will play it over and over again until I’m even more sick of it than I already am.”
Panchito let out a weak laugh, willing to sing for José until his voice could go no longer. “Of course.”
“And lastly,” José continued, suddenly seeming unsure and nervous. “I want you to buy me a ticket for the same flight you are taking tonight and if you can’t, you have to find a new one that we can both take…together.”
“Ay, Mi alma.” Panchito whispered, voice cracking as his eyes stung with tears. “Of course. Anything for you.”
