Lore : Raised in the Ministry, the de Roses take pride in their youngest daughter, Meliora, a bold, confident, and flirty gal. She has the third most Employee of the Month awards, as she is a perfectionist and the muse for Papa Emeritus III’s album in the Ghost project.

Her older sister Leah had left the church when Meliora was two days old due to jealousy of her parents' name choice for her. The de Roses cut all ties with her and now introduce Meliora as an only child to newcomers.

Though they haven’t put a label on their relationship, most assume they are just friends due to Terzo's tendency to flirt with every person he sees, but rumors spring up every now and again that they are dating and have even talked of marriage/Meliora becoming his Prime Mover.

Nevertheless, Meliora writes the rumors off as untrue and dedicates her time to helping Papa III, no matter what.

Some other cool facts/headcanons : in my last drawing, Meliora's green and black outfit was a nod to Sister Imperator's outfit in Kiss the Go-Goat/MOAC music videos, indicating that Meliora does have Imperator's approval. However, Imperator sees a lot of her past self in Meliora, a past that she would rather forget.

Another reason why Terzo was demoted: Meliora started to (unknowingly) build up a god complex like Terzo, and Imperator wouldn't stand for it. But she couldn't let go of Meliora entirely as she was very hard working and contributed a lot to the Ministry as a Clergy member.

Ironically I made a whole ass Tik Tok a while ago listing my faves too lol

First up, EverymanHYBRID. This might be a hot take, but despite Slenderman’s reputation nowadays, I still think Slenderverse series are GOOD and I will die on that hill. While everyone sees Marble Hornets as the superior Slenderman series, I have always preferred EMH. The story was way more interesting and Evan, Vinny, and Jeff were way more likable protagonists that you genuinely wanted to see everything work out for them, which is why is was so heartbreaking when things didn’t. Plus, as cringy as HABIT maybe seen today, he’s still a super fun villain. He’s just evil for evil’s sake, he doesn’t care if these are people’s lives he’s destroying, he’s going have fun!

This Is My Milwaukee isn’t necessarily horror in the sense you’re thinking, but I love showing it to people and watching their reaction. This video was the trailhead to an ARG that’s now defunct, but honestly I still think the video stands on it’s own as a weird little video to show your friends.

It’s one of the few Tumblr ARGs and it was made by two 15 year olds, which is SO impressive to me that two teenagers pulled off such an amazing ARG that had a satisfying ending when a lot of companies who’s LITERAL JOB IS MAKING ARGS can’t manage to do that. 

Hi I’m Mary Mary is just a gold standard. The story is engaging, and the EDITING, THE EDITING IS SO GOOD! Honestly the editing my favorite thing about the series, it’s just god tier. But the story is just as amazing as the editing, you feel for Mary’s struggles against her monsters and want to see her win and escape the house she’s trapped in. 

Mystery Flesh Pit National Park isn’t going be for everyone (especially if you’re someone who isn’t good with body horror) but I love the idea for weird stuff going on in a National Park and it surprises me that you don’t see a lot of stuff playing with that idea. I love the idea of this weird, eldritch creature being found and of course humans first thought goes to Capitalism. 

Vita Carnis is another body horror series that won’t be for everyone. This series has managed to do the impossible and has made my desensitized ass absolutely paranoid over their FUCKING MIMICS!!!!! LIKE SERIOUSLY, FUCK THE MIMICS SO HARD!!!! I BOTH LOVE AND HATE THEIR EXECUTION SO MUCH!!!!! IT’S SO WELL DONE, IT’S DOING WONDERS FOR MY INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS!!!!!

The Ningen is actually made by the same person who made the Monument Mythos series, tho I don’t believe it’s a spinoff. It follows a lot of lore surrounding the cryptid while also making it its own thing as well. The Ningen has always been one of my favorite cryptids but since there’s not a lot to it’s backstory no one ever seems to do anything with it, so it’s REALLY nice to see this obscure cryptid get some love.

Echo Rose/Nettlebrook actually stars the same person from Daisy Brown (another series I love) but wasn’t made by her, it was made by her cousin. Echo Rose is really funny and it makes you feel like you’re just watching someone’s vlogs, but in the background a mystery is unraveling with a missing girl.

this one is soooo fun for me. i wish this was in the original tracklist of The Fame instead of Disco Heaven tbh. it's fun, it fits the energy and vibe of the album so well. it would be a better closer imo :<

general comments - this album is POP PERFECTION in the literal sense im not even kidding. it's her shortest, but probably the most impactful work.

in terms of production, it has such a CLARITY that is really hard to see in many albums. the art direction and music meets the production perfectly. The Fame is an iconic album, sure. but The Fame Monster really takes a huge step ahead from that if you ask me. which says a LOT about the quality of this album

i want to say, the lyrics in this album is probably my favorite from her works. it just!!!! so good, so powerful!!! the dark side of fame may seem like an overdone concept, but she does it so well here

Every Day Like the One Before || Solo

Timing: June 23rd

Location: Stardew Valley

Description: Just another perfect day in the life of Haley Bloom, right?

“And I’ll see you lovelies next week!” Haley said with her trademark smile and wave of her perfectly manicured nails. Shutting off the camera, she let out a sigh and glancing over at her computer. Audio, video, all of it had recorded which meant all she had to do was edit and add it to the end of the queue. Fun.

Her desk looked like a disaster, which is how it always looked after she recorded a video. No one ever saw the make up pallets, the used brushes, the bottles that piled up on her armoire as she filled the silence of her room with chatter or notes to herself to time-lapse a particular section. Switching off the ring lights behind her mirror, she set about cleaning up the clutter. It was her least favorite part of filming, but it had to be done.

Once all the pieces had returned to their respective places and her desk cleaned of stray flecks of setting powder, Haley stretched her arms before pulling out her phone.

Arrange the hair, tuck the chin, back straight but not too straight, a casual peace sign because everyone loves peace—perfect. Haley snapped a picture and regarded it with a critical eye. Good enough. If there were little flaws, it made her more relatable online and people loved relatable. She was just like them! Stuck in this stupid, boring little town filming videos until she could finally move to the city.

Slipping her phone back into the pocket of her dress, Haley glanced at the clock. It was only 4 pm, which was honestly perfect timing. Emily wouldn’t be back from work until late tonight and Sam had finally developed the barest definition of a schedule, so at least he wasn’t blasting his stupid guitar now.

Haley popped her headphones in as she left the house, latching the door behind her. It was stupid—who would break into their parents’ house? Maybe the crusty old man who lived up in the mountains, but she hadn’t seen him in at least a month. But, she locked the door behind her all the same.

Flicking through her music, she put on a pop playlist before swiping to her messages.

Haley: just finished recording, what are u up to?

Alex: aw shoot babe

Alex: i just started lifting and im like, in the zone

Alex: wanna hang after?

Haley rolled her eyes. Of course he was working out. She knew it was like, his whole thing. Trying to be a pro grid ball player out of Stardew Valley of all places was almost as insane as trying to be a UTuber. But, Alex was dedicated to it. She couldn’t fault him for trying.

Haley: sounds good! tell your grandma I said hi

Alex: 😘

Wandering down the street, she glanced around the town square. The mayor was running around, probably going to poke his nose in at one of the shops to see how they were doing. Like the answer would be another other than “slow as hell.” He waved to her politely and Haley offered him a dazzling smile before turning away. No beach for her today, it seemed. The last thing she wanted to do was make awkward small talk with Mayor Lewis.

There were a few people in the town square, but Haley ignored them. The fountain was usually empty around this time and it was a nice enough place when the two little kids in town weren’t screeching on the monkey bars. But God. This town was such a dump. They didn’t even have a movie theater. Everyone had a movie theater. But no. When she and Alex had date night, it consisted of suffering through bar food at Gus’ and having to see her sister the entire time and then going back to her house to watch movies on her laptop. So romantic.

If Haley had her way, this whole town would be bulldozed down, she’d slap a mall down on the abandoned farm to the west and build a high rise with beach front property. The valley would make money, tourists would come for longer than just the stupid fish festivals, and everyone would be happy.

Maybe then her parents would decide “Oh, we fell in love with the Fern Islands and are selling that little house in the Valley. You’re off the hook! Emily can go back to the Calico Desert and Haley can get herself a condo in Zuzu City and we’ll all go back to seeing each other once a year.”

Haley let out a chuckle as she settled down by the fountain, leaning against one of the trees that shaded the area.  

No chance that would happen. The most exciting thing that ever happened in this town was the rockslide that cut off access to half of the lake. And they’d been able to fix that up quick, no one had even gotten hurt when it happened.

Haley sighed as she glanced up at evening light streaming through the leaves of the tree. When was something ever going to happen in this stupid town?

i’m a total noob too especially for digital so i do believe other people will have much better tips! here are some who make very high quality art explanations: (these are all on youtube!)

i watched a lot of these when starting out; now if i have time i love finding individual artists i just love and try to break down their art to see what i love so much about it :)

i’ll try my best to explain my own style and methods!!

💙 Stylized

Faces: my style is very anime / chibi inspired, so that means regular proportions but cutesified, so more exaggerated childlike proportions -> big eyes, big heads, small (dot) noses. its lowkey a cheat to draw faster but still expressively hehe,,,

Bodies: mine are so basic 😅 i often use references and just simplify them into more basic shapes

i don’t do this enough but i really suggest pushing the shape language and also having clear silhouettes of who and what ur character is doing at all times

a sense of movement makes your art more dynamic and interesting and life-like. i try to keep my characters doing something in every panel, and even when staying still i think having a clear line of action is preferable (shoutout to @alkalinefrog and @li-wri for the best dynamics in their sketches imo 😌🙏)

For shading, i explain in much more depth in the coloring tutorial! I personally only cell-shade in one block the general area that i think would be covered from light on a multiply layer, and then add different colors for transitions (between shadows and light) and for secondary/reflected light (within shadows)

💚 Realism

for the most part, i agree that u prolly wanna learn to draw realistically in tandem with stylistically if u wanna develop ur art

to study proportion, i personally think there’s no way around referencing real people. i highly suggest quick figure drawings, gesture drawings and also breaking down figures into shapes!

shading is also something u learn through practice and develop intuition for, BUT i think if u look up tutorials on shading basic shapes like spheres and blocks, u can quickly apply it to more complicated shapes. u just need to know several concepts such as these:

i did this while trying to figure out a george design lol (i’m still getting there, that’s why he looks like a shapeshifter in my comics T_T)

and when drawing real people’s face proportions, it tends to have to be pretty exact, so i often use grids!!

i also saved some digital-specific art tips for someone who migrated from tradi:

know u feel hella rich with literally any color now at ur disposal, but limit ur color scheme!! not as in the amount of colors, but more so be more purposeful about the color set u choose (personally i find it good to mix both saturated and desaturated colors :>)

take the time to learn about the functions of the magic buttons for the program you’re using, i swear it will save time in the future

editing colors and proportions after you’re already done is a thing now and its amazing

there’s gLOW ✨✨✨✨ (play around with blending modes!!)

okay i’ll bite. what is mcyt and dream smp. like i know what they stand for but what exactly... is it.... is it actually good or just your latest hyperfixation AGSHJSJSKS

oh god beware this is long and also i technically wrote it as part of a tangent to another ask but i realized this response suited this question much better but it also makes references to that ask which i will answer right after this one

“what is minecraft youtube?” well any YouTube video that features minecraft is technically minecraft youtube. i specifically only care about like. dream + friends. i follow the ‘feral boys’ (dream george quackity sapnap karl) mostly? but if ur question is: what is dream known for? the answer is minecraft manhunt and dream smp

so what’s minecraft manhunt? to understand that, u need to understand that minecraft isn’t “just blocks” because it is a beatable game haha. u beat the game by killing the ender dragon and obviously there’s a lot of stuff u need to do to do that. but i won’t bore u w the details. “speedrunning minecraft” means u beat minecraft very fast. dream used to be the record holder for beating minecraft a few months ago. he no longer is but i won’t get into that. it’s an annoying discussion n literally no one cares. all i’ll say is if u really believe he cheated and that he wasn’t being targeted by people who have since been exposed for trying to frame him for saying slurs that he never said (amongst other stuff), then u literally hate neurodivergent people so much. that’s all!

so what is MANHUNT, specifically? basically, dream does a series where x number of people are HUNTING him down and trying to KILL him before he beats the game. if he dies even ONCE, he loses. he’s done this with one hunter (george), two (+sapnap), three (+badboyhalo), four (+antfrost), and now five hunters (+awesamdude)

the hunters have infinite lives, and a compass that leads them to where dream is at any given point in the game. dream is allowed to kill them as many times as he wants, as a form of self preservation

so what’s the allure to manhunt? essentially, it’s how dream plays the game. he’s incredibly skilled at pvp (fighting) and parkour (moving fast and agile that i can’t even begin to explain. u need to see this for urself. it’s even more impressive if u play the game) and “clutching” (how he saves himself from risky moves and all the absolutely CREATIVE ways he does it)

also all the traps he sets to kill the hunters since it’s hard to go up against multiple people no matter how good you are. and how QUICKLY he thinks. it’s amazing. people with adhd are amazing and dream is a PRIME example of that. it makes me less hateful of my adhd :) and more appreciative of my traits :)

how did he do this? lots of research, lots of practice, lots of training. dream used to be a really average minecraft player who had to beg GEORGE to go easy on him. now? george loses to dream even on 40/50 hearts (the usual is 10). dream poured his heart into making his videos, putting a creative spin and skillful spin to his content that had never really been seen/executed as well before. and so 1.5 years after he started actively making YouTube videos he has over 20 million subscribers. and I’m not kidding, that number could be 30 million in a few months from now. that’s how fast he’s growing

ok i got off topic. another great thing about manhunt is dream’s relationship w the HUNTERS. the hunters are friends who dream has known for many years, and also they come up with great plans to defeat him as well. in many ways, they can also be seen as the “underdogs” in manhunt, especially since dream won the 4 hunters series 3-2. anyway in manhunt, all of the players are in an open channel discord voice chat, so they can all hear each other talk, and also talk to each other. sometimes the hunters discuss strategies before the face off, or they dm ideas secretly in the game chat, or attempt to talk in code. but mostly dream can hear the things they say, and they can hear the things he says. it makes it so that they can attempt to trick each other, but they can also hear things that give them a leg up in the game. etc etc. the banter that goes on is like. BIG part of what makes manhunt fun to watch

and the editing...... it is very good and engaging n he chooses fun music :) the speedrun music is a meme by now but it still slaps unironically. he makes excellent choices n i am very entertained

OKAY. so what is dream smp?

(smp stands for Survival Multiplayer. aka: a lot of people play together in a world where u can die and monsters spawn. the dream part is because dream owns the server)

once upon a time, there were two best friends. their names were dream and george. they decided to play minecraft survival together, but they didn’t want to beat the game super fast this time. THIS was about having fun. they wanted to casually explore the world, build a house together, raise some animals, start a farm, etc! after a bit they started to add some of their other friends so more people could have fun with them. and then more people got added. and the dream smp started to include a roleplay aspect because they invited people who did roleplay on other servers

i won’t summarize the events for u. if u wanna know what HAPPENED plot wise, this dude evanmcgaming makes like. summaries that are low key documentaries. very well made, he includes clips from the actual lore streams when necessary! his channel is here and i’ll list the documentaries in order: first | second | third | fourth | fifth

and then this really cool 18 year old Filipino girl started animating events on the dream smp to look REALLY cool n it got so many views and her first animation was done on her PHONE w her FINGER and it made the people on dream smp go damn we need to step the FUCK up so that this girl can get better material for her animations. they are all huge fans of her. everyone is a huge fan of her. she’s called sad-ist, and so far there are 4 main animations: first | second | third | fourth

anyway now! dream smp is essentially what i would call gay planned theatre improv but the medium through which they perform is not a stage but on minecraft. there actually is WRITING involved in this, they script the series of events etc, but for the most part they don’t actively script dialogue afaik?

some truly AMAZING bits of dialogue has come out of the dream smp. the dream smp is basically. gamers transform into theatre kids before ur very eyes + some of these bitches WERE theatre kids and they’re showing it now!

it’s amazing watching the growth because a lot of them have improved leaps and bounds. one of the most notable improved actors is dream ❤️  yea im bringing him up ok because im RIGHT his acting used to just be him screaming but now he can give me chills. he’s very good n is the “main villain” on dream smp :)

and like. not only do we have people like sad-ist animating the smp we have members like quackity who include pre recorded elements in his lore streams to make it just. a truly incredible experience. quackity my beloved. i love him so much

hello! welcome! recently i have become infatuated with morgan frost and joel farabee for a lot of reasons but mostly because of that one post that i spent like twenty minutes searching various blogs for that said “people are freaking out about sexualising hockey players, meanwhile joel farabee is one instagram comment away from telling morgan frost he’d suck him dry.” in my head rent free. hit a girl up if you have the post.
