-Hehe their relationship starts very awkward :) uh for one Tyler thinks he's straight (he's not) and Logan is still nervous about his queerness (intersex gay guy because I SAID SO)

-so...it's very...slow

-Corny ass pet names but only in private, surprisingly Tyler uses them more often. "Starboy" when he wants to tease him, or "Cielo" when he's feeling soft.

-Logan makes them take selfies all the time on dates which Ty says is annoying cuz he's "unphotogenic"

-Tyler in his baseball uniform makes Logan flustered as hell LOL. Ty knows this and WILL use it to his advantage 🤡

-Ngl when he's comfortable in the relationship Tyler is super flirty and likes making Logan blush. His affection manifests by being Hella mischievous lol. Is sauve without even trying, but when he does try sometimes it'll just fail lmao, Logan still thinks he's super cute tho <3

-Um they go stargazing and look at meteor showers or shooting stars and Logan will just be nerding out like "have you ever seen anything so beautiful?" And Ty will just look at him. He's thinking it but he's not gonna say it 🫥

-Tyler gives really intense hugs that usually lift Logan off his feet. He really likes that.

The funniest thing is watching people cling to articles with no real credible sources that Jikook spent no time together in Japan and stayed in seperate hotels and ate alone. LMAO then left to go to another town and spend no time together. Disptach literally said Jikook were going together to shoot a documentary TOGETHER. We know that is not the real reason, but there is no way in hell they are gonna set Jikook up in different hotels, just for them to meet up to film whatever it is they need to film. How fucking dumb are you people? Insecure jikookers, antis and tkk are all losing their fucking minds and making up scenarios at this point to explain away Jikook's gayness. Acting like while JK is filming a performance for a show, that Jimin can't sight see. Clinging to articles with no real confirmation, making up scenarios about it being only for work. Here is the second chapter of the newest installment in the Hawkins Halfway House series, which I've named Tradition on ao3. It was hard to meet people as a queer man in rural Indiana. Harder still when the ‘man’ part of that description was…malleable. As if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, it was far more difficult when the queer man in question wasn’t particularly interested in sex.

Sirens used what people would consider ‘sex appeal’ to attract humans but that was only because sailors, having spent months at sea surrounded by the same faces, tended to desire newer, prettier faces that could be convinced to warm their beds. A siren’s song created an illusion of something a human could not resist. Sirens themselves, as far as Eddie had learned, had no real sex drive and not only couldn't copulate with humans, but also didn’t procreate in a way humans would recognize.

Eddie, however, was a freak of magical happenstance so he really couldn’t tell if his own minimal sex drive was due to his siren heritage or if it was a trait uniquely Eddie. He didn’t mind kissing and petting his partners. He actually quite enjoyed it, but things got awkward when his chosen partner would start fumbling at the fastenings of his pants. He’d have to redirect their hands and attention elsewhere before they encountered something unusual.

In the end it didn’t really matter how Eddie came about his lack of sexual appetite. It always resulted with a lonely Eddie after his partners finally had enough of his reluctance and left him. So when a charming man with gorgeous eyes and kissable lips seemed perfectly happy with Eddie’s boundaries, Eddie was over the moon.

He had been such an idiot.

“I could do other things,” Eddie told the man shyly the first time they met, after taking the man’s hands from where they’d wandered to the fly of his pants and placing them back on his waist.

“I’m sure you could, baby,” the man said in a way that made Eddie shiver pleasantly. “But we don’t have to do anything at all if you’re not feeling it right now.”

Eddie scoffed.

“This is the whole reason people come to these clubs,” Eddie said with a roll of his eyes. He was lonely. He wanted company and some physical closeness. “Besides, I’m very good with my mouth.”

“With lips like those, I believe you, but I’d love to get to know someone as beautiful as you in other ways, too.”

“Yeah?” Eddie asked, surprised and stupidly susceptible to flattery.

“Mmhm. I’m Billy. Why don’t I give you my number and we can get together for coffee tomorrow instead?” Billy smiled, all gleaming white teeth and fluttery lashes.

How could Eddie say no to that?

So, because Eddie was lonely and dumb, he said yes. They went for coffee, during which Eddie was the center of Billy’s undivided attention. When Billy asked him out to dinner, Eddie said yes. Their pretty waitress spent the whole time flirting with Billy, but all of Billy’s sweet words were given to Eddie. When Billy invited Eddie to his place for a movie night, Eddie said yes.

Halfway through the movie, when Eddie was in Billy’s lap, kissed breathless and squirming, Eddie decided he would say yes when Billy’s hands wandered. Instead, Eddie’s muscles locked when Billy tried for the button of Eddie’s jeans. Billy pulled back to look at him and Eddie squeezed his eyes shut.

“No, it’s fine,” Eddie said.

He could weave a subtle little song so Billy wouldn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Sure, he hadn’t sung since he was a teenager, but it must be instinctual to him as a siren, right? He could make it work.

He could make sure Billy enjoyed himself. Then Billy would continue to hold him and shower him with honeyed words. They could keep having dinner dates and movie nights and things would be fine. Good. Maybe even better.

“Go ahead,” Eddie insisted.

“Baby, do you want to?” Billy asked, voice soft and coaxing. Eddie wanted to say yes. He’d done sexual stuff before and enjoyed it well enough. He could figure this out, too, and enjoy it. Probably. If he had to.

“It’ll be fun,” Eddie said. For you, it’ll be fun for you was better left unsaid. Billy didn’t move. Eddie tried to dip into another kiss to break the sudden awkward atmosphere. Billy’s hands cupped his face, halting him midway.

“Eddie, look at me,” Billy said.

Hesitantly, Eddie did as he was told. He liked to believe that Billy’s beautiful blue eyes reflected the color of the ocean Billy grew up alongside. Not that Eddie would know; he’d never been near any oceans. Eddie loved having Billy’s ocean eyes on him, normally. Now he was afraid to see them dim in disappointment.

“We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do,” Billy said. He sounded so sincere, Eddie cringed. Billy said that now, but would he say it again in three days? In two weeks? Months later? Better to break his own heart now, Eddie thought.

“What if I never want to?” Eddie asked through a lump in his throat.

“Then we never will and I get to keep you as my boyfriend,” Billy said with his charming smile.

“Boyfriend?” Eddie asked, stunned. Billy’s smile grew wider.

“Yeah. That alright with you?”

And foolish, needy Eddie laughed out a yes and pulled beautiful Billy into a kiss.

After that, Eddie began slipping vague details about himself into their conversations where before he had been reticent. He told Billy how he worked at a community center that helped the disenfranchised.

“Where’s the community center? Would I know it?”

“Nah, it’s a tiny nonprofit out of town.”

Eddie told him about his annual fishing trips with his uncle.

“I used to go fishing with my dad. Where did you go for it? Maybe we’ve bumped into each other before.”

“No, you probably wouldn’t have seen me. We switch it up every year to keep things interesting,” Eddie lied through his teeth.

They always went to Lake Michigan, but it was a special time with his uncle. As smitten as he was, he didn’t want to have to share those moments with Billy. At least not yet, Eddie had thought to himself, maybe a couple years down the line. Instead, he distracted Billy by telling him about Jeff, his best friend since childhood.

“That must be nice. I never had one of those. When did you guys meet? Was it here?”

“Man, I don’t even remember. It was so long ago! We must’ve met through family friends or something since I was homeschooled for a while,” Eddie half-lied.

He had been homeschooled when he hadn’t yet learned how to wear a more human guise, but he remembered perfectly the circumstances under which he and Jeff met. Jeff had been the first person to ever say Eddie’s name right. It had taken him a few tries, but he’d nailed it in the end. That wasn’t something Eddie would ever forget.

Eddie was so pleased by how eager Billy was to learn more about him. He asked questions about every tidbit of information Eddie slipped him. Eddie believed Billy was genuinely interested in him. He was too charmed to ever take note of the kinds of questions Billy would specifically ask.

Two months after their first encounter, Billy showed up to their dinner date wearing something new. It was a cheap ball chain necklace. From it hung what looked to Eddie like the end of a cat’s teaser toy. The feathers, however, looked nothing like the brightly colored plastic ones found on those toys. They looked like real wing feathers, with strong, black shafts and well-groomed vanes and barbs. The feathers were a very dark red.

“My little sister made it for me,” Billy said when he caught Eddie looking.

“You have a sister? You’ve never mentioned her,” Eddie said, surprised that it hadn't come up before. Billy nodded easily.

“She’s a lot younger than me. I get overprotective,” Billy said with a laugh. “Half the time, people assume she’s my kid. She hates it.”

“Will I get to meet her?” Eddie asked hopefully. “I’m great with kids.”

“I don’t know,” Billy said teasingly. “Will I get to meet your family, too?”

Eddie, senseless in his infatuation, said yes.

He was met with resistance from the start. He figured Uncle Wayne would be reluctant because he was a solitary man; he was never really comfortable around new people. He didn’t expect Jeff, his oldest friend, to flatly refuse.

“Why not?” Eddie balked, stung by the rejection. Jeff shook his head.

“I don’t like him,” he said.

“You haven’t even met him yet,” Eddie pouted.

“No, but that shirt you wore the other day was his, wasn’t it?”

“What does that have to do with anything?” Eddie asked, exasperated.

“It had a stink on it,” Jeff said.

“What, you don’t like his detergent?” Eddie asked, purposely obtuse.

“You know that’s not what I mean,” Jeff said irritably.

“Then be more specific! Was he born under an unlucky star? Is he possessed by a malevolent spirit? What did you get from the goddamn shirt, Jeff?”

“I don’t know! I don’t know what it was but it wasn’t good, and I don’t like it,” Jeff raised his voice. Jeff never raised his voice.

“For all you know, he could’ve just bumped into someone that got themselves cursed. You know that shit clings,” Eddie said. Jeff was one of the most amiable people Eddie knew. He didn’t understand where this was coming from, and it hurt. “C’mon, Jeff. Just this one time? He’s important to me and he wants to meet you because he knows you’re my best friend.”

“No, Eddy,” Jeff said, almost sadly, but not relenting even an inch. It pissed Eddie off.

“Fine,” Eddie spat. “Fine! Then you can be on babysitting duty while he’s visiting instead.”

“You’re bringing him here?” Jeff asked, appalled.

“Yes! Just because you don’t want to meet him doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get to meet Chrissy and Uncle Wayne.”

“Dustin and El live here. They still can’t keep their human shapes consistently! You’re going to let some random human–”

“He’s not a random human! He’s my boyfriend,” Eddie interrupted. “But I’m not an idiot, Jeff, of course I’m not going to let him see Dustin and El. They’ll be upstairs while he’s here. House can hide the upper level from him easily. And since you’ll be watching them, there shouldn’t be a problem.”

Jeff had conceded with a scowl. He made sure to tell Eddie he was doing it for the kids. Eddie had sneered at him. The two didn’t speak for the days leading up to the planned dinner. It was the longest fight they’d ever had.

When Billy visited for dinner, House looked like a small, cozy one-story home. Billy was his usual charming self. He wore the necklace his sister had given him that popped nicely against the light button-down he’d worn for the occasion. He’d brought Eddie flowers and some cupcakes from the local bakery as a dessert to share as well.

Uncle Wayne didn’t speak much, but that wasn’t unusual for him. Between Eddie and Chrissy, they were able to keep conversation flowing throughout dinner. After Billy left for the night, Eddie had eagerly asked two of his most favorite people what they thought of him.

“He smiles an awful lot,” Wayne said.

“Yeah,” Eddie sighed like a sap. He didn’t notice the suspicious, unhappy slant to Wayne’s mouth. Chrissy’s smile, when he asked her, was wobbly but he hadn’t noticed that either.

“Does he make you happy, Eddy?” she asked him. Eddie nodded, tugging a lock of hair over his face to hide his lovestruck smile.

“He does, Chris,” Eddie confessed. “He really, really does.”

That time he did see how her expression wobbled. She threw her arms around him in a tight hug. They stood there for a minute, swaying in the quiet.

“I don’t know about him, Eddy,” Chrissy said, tightening her grip when he tried to pull back. “I love you so much. I want you to be happy. I don’t know about him, but I trust you.”

At the time, the brief sting of Chrissy’s doubt was easily assuaged by her faith in him. He felt relieved and hopeful. Much later, he got sick with shame whenever he remembered that conversation.

hi hi hi! thank-you to everyone who has read, commented, left kudos, and bookmarked tethered so far (and if this is the first you're hearing of it, here's my critical role / bell's hells / imodna music au)! this beautiful, musical lil world has been knocking around in my head for a little over 6 months and i'm so excited to share it with other people 💗

so as I said on ao3, to create the Full Experience of this au the way i've been stewing in it over the past 6-odd months, i wanted to also pop chapter tie-in posts on here that give a more detailed breakdown of the music in each chapter, mainly bc I'm not someone who writes songfics rly and I don't like breaking up the flow of the fic + the suspension of disbelief with lyrics etc, so: we're gonna do it this way.

(again, if this is the first you're hearing of this au and it has piqued ur interest, would recommend giving ch 1 a read and then coming back to this post)

but okay, let's start with this first chapter ⚡🎼

i gave a bit of a generic ‘vibe’ of what everybody’s music sounds like in the end-notes, but i’m gonna elaborate a bit here + also fill in some gaps!

Liliana

in this fic, Liliana Temult gained acclaim as a teenage country star, kind of like early early Taylor Swift (vibes: TS debut, Fearless, + specifically the songs Sparks Fly, Mine, and Ours from Speak Now are songs Liliana released about her high school sweetheart turned husband (Relvin)). 

*important to note: any TS songs that are confirmed as Liliana’s are re-recording versions of these songs, as the original versions of them are how i imagine Imogen sounding if she were to cover her mom’s music, plus also draws a more distinctive line in the differences in sound between Imogen and Liliana if both of them have TS music in their discographies. if you’re super hardline abt only listening to Taylor’s rerecordings, that’s chill, but just putting it out there as my distinction between Imogen’s TS songs and Liliana’s TS songs!

as Liliana got more popular, signed to a new label (Ruidus Records, owned by Ludinus Da’Leth, and Liliana was managed by Otohan Thull), Liliana’s sound changed and she spent more time away from home, in New York and LA (vibes: AURORA by Daisy Jones and the Six, Fleetwood Mac - 60s/70s-esque pop-rock with some country tinges to it). 

Imogen

more on Imogen’s music in the fic’s present-day for the ch 2 breakdown, but for a backstory vibe: the first music Imogen releases are with songs from Kacey Musgraves’ album, Deeper Well; Imogen’s EP, called If I Let Go, has this tracklist:

Sway is fairly self explanatory, and it’s the leading single for the EP.

Lonely Millionaire is about Imogen’s desperation to not slip into the wrong side of the industry no matter how alluring it may be at times, no matter how caught up she gets in the glitz and glamour and magic of it all, she doesn’t want to forget that it’s not worth it to get lost and end up on your own (like Liliana did).

The Architect is ‘small-town grew up in a christian community and maybe has some queer religious trauma’ Imogen Temult going ✌🏼don’t know if i believe i still believe in god and i don’t know if it would make it easier or harder if i did✌🏼.

Cardinal is something Imogen had written for years and years before she ever released it, but it’s a song that’s so clearly inspired by Liliana’s later career music, and it’s very much about Liliana too, and it almost gets swapped out for a different song because Imogen’s a little terrified that putting her mother’s musical story into her own at the start of her career is as good as damning her from the beginning, but Bertrand and Laudna convince her otherwise so this song ends up closing off the EP. 

(later, when Imogen puts out the rest of her album (which includes songs I haven’t figured out yet lol), she adds Giver / Taker and Nothing To Be Scared Of also from Kacey’s new album, and both of them are written about Laudna :-). (the album is also called Nothing To Be Scared Of.) 

Laudna

Laudna also got into music as a teenager (signing to Briarwood Records under Delilah) but exactly what kind of music that was, i’m not 100% on so taking suggestions + recommendations if you have any. tethered’s present-day Laudna’s music is mostly following the sound of Lizzy McAlpine. the six feet under EP referenced in ch 1 is:

The Crown Keepers

finally, for this chapter’s musical rundown: to put some context to The Crown Keepers, they are, in fact, the Full Gang. Orym, Fearne, Dorian, Dariax, and Opal make up TCK, and they started out as a folk/indie lil group who wound up being signed to Eshteross Records by Bertrand. they’re the characters i have the Most songs for bc their musical sound is my favourite kind of music, but i’ll just give you some artists to listen to + some of the key songs tied to their group’s backstory! 

vibes: Wild Rivers (both in music And in their actual Vibe as a group, go look them up, seriously) / Judah & the Lion (their song Spirit is the first song of TCK’s that blows up and they start to break into mainstream popularity) / Motherfolk / McFly / Morningsiders / Kodaline / Avalanche City (Sunset is one of the last songs they release + the very very last song they play at the end of their world tour right before they go on hiatus) / and Tiny Habits as little smaller combos of different members of the band (esp their cover of landslide).

WIP Questionnaire (2.0)

I was tagged a second time by @finchwrites, so I'll do this for my second WIP too.

1. What was the first part of your wip that you created?

As I mentioned in this post, as someone from an Irish family, I wanted to write a novel that paid homage to our folklore, so I decided to mess with the general concept of a 'changeling'. Rowan came to be when I tried to think up a character that was a faerie who, for some reason, believed they were a human - and the rest followed.

2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?

Not so much a theme song, but Rowan and Killeen's song is definitely Dying Star by Ashnikko and Ethel Cain. I'd probably have it playing in the background when Killeen realises who Rowan actually is to her.

3. Who are your favourite characters you've made? Why?

Rowan was the first character I created for this story so I do have a soft spot for her in my heart, but because I knew I wanted this to be a queer story, when I created Killeen I basically just turned my ideal woman into a lesbian fae warrior so??? of course I would die for her?? Plus being The Inquisitor for The Sidhe Court is kind of a slay, no?

4. What other pieces of media do you think would share a fan base for your story?

Never read it, but from what I've heard I can only assume ACOTAR peeps would be into it. If anyone has ever watched Zone Blanche/The Black Spot (spooky french supernatural murder drama), that is EXACTLY the vibe I'm going for - just Irish (and if you haven't watched it you should).

5. What has been your biggest struggle with your wip?

There are two parallel storylines in the story - Rowan's storyline when she is taken into the Fae realm, and the second storyline that follows the aftermath in her small town when her parents report her missing. I struggle a fair bit with actually writing the aforementioned second storyline because I get so caught up with all the lesbian dumbassery that I forget there is in fact a second layer to my plot.

6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!

Crows, ravens and other corvids are ALWAYS a motif in my stories. The Sidhe also have a strong supernatural connection to the flora and fauna so not only are there several different kinds of forest dwelling animals in the story, but most of the characters can communicate with them!

7. How do your characters get around? (ex: trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.)

Honestly for a fantasy book my setting/map is rather small so most of the travel is done by foot. I guess there'll probably be a few police cars involved and maybe some kind of sailboat at some point lmao

8. What part of your wip are you working on rn?

In the earlier stages of the first draft atm. I started this as a passion project only about 6 months ago even though I had the plot idea for a couple of years.

9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) of your wip do you think will draw people in?

Queer fae. Need I say more? Also I'm hoping the fact that there are a lot more spooky/horror elements to this story, as opposed to a lot of faerie narratives, will interest people. It's all going to be set in Ireland as well so that's another demographic that I hope will enjoy it!

10. What are your hopes for your wip?

It's a queer story where the characters are just... queer.... and in love... there's no homophobia, no "I'm gay and that's okay and normal!", no having to come out - it just is right from the get go, a gay story about gay girls being gay without that being the focal point of the narrative - so I hope that if it ever gets published, it'll be a book that queer people can go to when they need a spooky gay fantasy without any of the trauma and alienation that we feel as queer people irl. I hope people connect to the story and take some comfort in the darkness.

Happy Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈

In one of my last posts, I talked about how I wished people used real lgb people to celebrate our culture and history instead of using straight celebs and calling them "queer icons 😍😍", and it made me decide to do something : everyday, I am gonna post about a real same sex attracted celebrity, or tell the real story of real lgb people in history.

For this first day I am just going to talk about my favourite singer ! She's very famous, so you probably already know her, but all opportunities to talk about how amazing she is are good haha.

Yes, that's Tracy Chapman !

Born on 30 March 1964 in Cleveland, Tracy Chapman is a singer and song writer, whose musical style combines blues, folk and soul. She is known for her pure, beautiful voice, as well as for her strongly protesting and committed lyrics - and for her wonderful music in general ! Although she always refused to talk about her sexual orientation in public, which is totally valid, we know she had romantic relationships with women, like the writer Alice Walker.

Her songs are deeply feminist, and also denounce poverty, inequality, discrimination, and so on. For example, one of her best songs, a song lasting less than two minutes, entirely a capella, called "Behind the Wall" evokes violence against women. The entire song is a masterpiece, her voice is absolutely breathtaking and the lyrics get me everytime.

She has performed at concerts in support of various causes. She supports Amnesty International and in 1988, she played at a concert organized by Amnesty International to celebrate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In 2004, she took part in a bicycle race against AIDS.

Gotham Pride

Ok so I know Pride Month is over but I was reflecting on what pride means and the issues I have with current day pride and decided to make this post anyways

I have decided that Gotham Queers are militant they take "we keep us safe" to a whole new level. Like of course the bats and most of the rogues are there and would step up in case something happened but they've never had to because the queers WILL sort it out.

Cops won't get within three blocks of any pride event. They know better than that. If one of them is stupid enough to try the Gotham Gays will kindly give them a one way ticket to the ICU. If a cop wants to come its out of uniform or not at all.

The parade isn't so much a parade as a march. Its not like, formally organized or anything. Everyone just knows to gather in central Gotham in the morning of June 28th (its always on the 28th, doesn't matter what day of the week it is. Its basically a city wide holiday at this point.) (also for those wondering why its the 28th its because Stonewall happened on June 28th, 1969) There not contingents like there are at other prides people who wanna march show up and march with signs. There are groups who will organize to go together but its not anything formal.

In that same vein the festival isn't a formal festival either. People will just hang out in some area of the city. Small queer owned businesses will put up tents. People will bring food and drinks (always enough the share). Everyone is fed.

Doc Tompkins clinic has several tents and is giving info on STDs, administering Monkey Pox vaccines, doing testing, passing out safer sex items, helping people get on PrEP, etc.

At least one stage will be set up (often more) and drag queens and queer bands will all take turns preforming. Theres at least one stage where anyone can get up and sing a song or do a dance or whatever they'd like.

Kink is very much at Gotham Pride. There is leather and people walking around naked. (the whole kink doesn't belong at pride thing is absolute bullshit. Queer liberation was started by kinksters, sex workers and drag queens. The mother of pride, Brenda Howard, was literally a bisexual, polyamorous kinkster. Kink belongs at pride and I say this as someone who is very much not kinky)

This is like the one day of the year that all of the bats and most of the rogues get along publicly. They are all on the same page here. Similarly this is the one event of the year that Joker will never attack because while most times Gotham Citizens will just go about their daily business during one of his attacks but during pride he will get put in the morgue and he knows it.

Gotham Queers do not fuck with rainbow capitalism and pink money. If a corporation wants to sell pride merch it better be in collaboration with queer artists and they better actively be allies to the community. Everyone remembers that one time LexCorp tried to set up a booth and got molitoved. If a company in Gotham does the publicly an ally while actually being homophobic song and dance that shit is getting leaked by an anonymous hacker (Barbara) and, well that company isn't gonna last long in Gotham.

Customarily the event lasts five days (the Stonewall Riot lasted 5 days)

Anyways I'm just tired how pride seems to have strayed so far from its roots. Why are there cops at pride. They are literally the reason Stonewall happened in the first place. Why do we allow corperations to make money off us while giving nothing in return. Why is there so much discorse about who is "allowed" at pride when it has always been a place for the freaks and outcasts of society. Pride has always been about unity why do we seem to have forgotten that.

Speaking of 'Smalltown Boy' there's a recent article about it in El País that gives some historical context to folks who might be younger. It's been 30 years since it came out and there was a reissue this year and well, if you're queer the whole cycle of it is a mood tbh.

Summer Reading/Writing Tag ☀️

Describe one creative WIP project you’re planning to work on over the summer.

I'm currently a bit less than halfway (hahaha, as if it that ever turns out as expected) into my one and only writing WIP Till Death. Experience shows I can pull off around 20-25k per month "easily", so I hope to be done with it August/Septemper.

It's my attempt at write as if no one is reading, a shamelessly whump- and angst-heavy queer love story. It's the first time in ages I actually do a whole draft again before posting (last was HmW last July and I wrote that in 3 weeks on no sleep.) I put the blurb here, but won't make a WIP intro before I am done.

Whenever I need a break from that, I still gotta do the last edits on my novel Thorns, which has a WIP Intro.

I have a theory that might seem a little controversial & wondering your opinion.

So This is interesting to me. Right after Taennie goes viral in Paris JM drops a tiktok of him dancing to a song called "Masquerade" wearing a 123 shirt (Tae's bday is 1230) and he literally starts the tiktok coming out of a closet. Look at the lyrics. "So go on and leave me 'cause I don’t think I need ya. Everything's an illusion, Won't look back and I mean it. Yeah, we can keep up the role play, I don’t care what the rules say, making up things that push me away" and this lyric "Masquerade, danger in what we're doin' It's all over and done, I don't know who we're foolin". This tiktok was also JM's idea.

So I might be losing it right now, but I'm pretty certain Tae had feelings for JM and Sweet Night echos that, about falling in love with his best friend which is JM & pretty much confirmed he had queer & real feelings for JM. Since the Taennie rumors, Vmin seem to have a bit a tension. I don't think they are divorced. I call it adjustment period. Maybe the closet got too hard on them, maybe they even broke up and Tae started dating someone new & JM is adjusting to it. If we think Tae is in fact queer (which he could be bi) and was in love with Jimin, but now dating Jennie and they were walking hand in hand in Paris. Yeah, I think that's gonna hurt Jimin and maybe even cause him to throw some shade Tae's way, esp if he thinks Tae is Masquerading in public with Jennie, while he had a closeted relationship with Jimin. Isn't it funny too that JM released a song Face Off, which mentions a Masquerade party and someone breaking his heart.

Yes...you might have a very good point there but then again, we don't know. He just might be trying to support his friend or it just might be a statement. Besides, he ended up dancing with two seventeen members as well. Maybe as a cover up? I don't know but definitely, Jimin likes to be seen on our screens. Anyway, It's too early to make a conclusion so let's simply wait and see.

Oh my goodness! This whole situation is interesting to me. You have no idea. Just some days ago and for months now, Taekook shippers wouldn't let the rest of the fandom breathe but now look at what's happening. In my last post, Didn't I tell you something will happen and everyone would change their tune? Because I have noticed something is always happening with these idols but it has never been on this scale especially in the kpop world. All these started when Big hit became Hybe. Now two extremely popular idols are publicly walking the streets holding hands to declare to the world that they are a couple, like these Hollywood celebrities do. Just on that one day not on any other day. We should have seen more of them publicly out and about if they were so brave as some people say they are. How very interesting. Yet these same people won't confirm if they're really together despite all the 'evidences' so that if you see them with someone else tomorrow or the next day, they would simply go; but we never confirmed we are a couple. If they really are in a relationship, then they are not that serious about it and feel no reason to clarify anything.

In the end, Taehyung would still return from paris and continue where he left off and People would forget what happened and continue to talk again. One thing I can tell you is that there is more to come. Until they are all in the military, you'll continue to hear plenty of things from them so sit tight, fold your arms and watch.

3) Last song: Love Me Like You Used To - Lord Huron. It hits in that good melancholy country mood for me.

4) Last film: Portrait of a Girl on Fire. I'm so behind on essential queer films, so I finally got around to watching it. Honestly, surprised at the lack of music in movie. It's saved for a moment at the end that absolutely hit. Bit slow, but in a good way. Seven Samurai. It's Seven Samurai. It's a good movie. I don't have much to say other than, movie good. Wasn't expecting Mifune's character to be as feral as he was, or how affecting the movie was. The Thing. It's The Thing, I wanna be you. The first time I saw it was Halloween 2020 during my horror movie marathon. This time I watched it in my university's movie theatre with a nearly full audience. People gasped during Child's "Then we're wrong" line delivery and laughed a bunch throughout. Seeing it on the big screen was incredible. 10/10. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (2022). This was a weird one. Gonna have to actually post my thoughts on it because I'm still chewing on it. It focuses entirely on Utterson, but the adaption decides to put him through a negative character arc. Does it work? Stay tuned.

5) Currently reading: The Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (finished it but at what cost). It wasn't very good. I got YA vibes from the character descriptions in the how they focus exclusively on eye and hair colour. Pacing was all over the place. Would spend way too long in one scene, way too short in another. The characters felt way too modern in a supposed fantasy world, mostly due to the dialogue. (Protag's best friend called her and her love interest 'slow burn' and I had to put the book down for a minute after that). The magic system felt like an excuse to get the main couple together and nothing else. That's my biggest critique of the novel. Everything just feels paper thin in this world. Things are set up, but resolved so quickly it doesn't feel satisfying. The school is set up as super dangerous and everyone is trying to kill each other 24/7, and the protag makes a best friend first day and they stay best friends. And further confirmation that no one knows how to write enemies-to-lovers, just 'didn't like you at the start'. Love interest says he loved her since he first saw her. WEAK. Why'd I read it? A bookstore clerk recommended it, I was on the library wait list for months. I needed to dissect this book thoroughly to justify me reading it. I'm also reading The Butterfly Collector by Tea Cooper. It's an okay mystery set in 1920s Australia. Garden of Earth Bodies by Sally Oliver. I'm compelled. It's horror-lite about grief, but the twist hasn't happened yet, so who's to say if it's good yet. Definitely reads as a debut novel - very dramatic prose, feels like it's trying too hard to grab my attention. It's meh so far, but I want to see where it goes.

6) Currently watching: Currently Delicious in Dungeon as it comes out. Studio Trigger is doing such a good job with the adaptation. I'm also watching Revue Starlight, which was way better than I was expecting. Episode 8 launched Hikari to all time favourite characters for me. Haven't finished it yet.
