Sorry to just drop into this, but another thing to consider with handmade good and the ‘overpriced’ idea is that you also have to factor in how much stock might sell at any given time.
For example, if you make 100 pairs of earrings in a month but might only sell 30 (because you need to give people options etc.) then the profit from those 30 should reasonably cover the time you spent making all 100.
Also, it should pay for the time you spend at craft fairs, replying to any commissions/ purchase requests, packaging time and going to the post office, any online marketing you might do (tumblr posts etc).
Peolle don’t often factor these in when thinking about the value of crafts they buy, which is a bit unfair.
yes there are other overheads but the thing is. basically all of those to some extent also apply to fibre arts
but sure. to be thorough. i spend 10h a week at my market stall and an hour... let's say 2 be generous with it... updating the shop
if i made 50 pairs of earrings and sold 15, the "materials" cost of 1 pair, to cover their unsold breathren, goes from 42p to £1.40
earrings are far from the only thing though, and account for less than half of the sales. so. we can say that about 5h of stall/shop time is covered by those
(plus the hour it took to make them)
sale price - materials cost but split over 6 hours of labour instead of 1.5 is still £12 an hour

aot men and where they would take you for a date
with: levi ackerman, armin arlert, eren yeager, jean kirschtein and erwin smith
──────────────────────────────────────────
levi ackerman
levi is the type of guy that dislikes being basic and takes you out to a movie theater or something like that, so i can totally picture him taking you on more classy dates. he would definitely take you to an art museum, or to a play, like a show on broadway. I also picture levi taking you to a christmas market, or to an adorable small bakery, where he can also share tea with you. lastly, he’s the type to invite you to a dance, a real evening dance. levi is definitely not the type to just hang out with you at his place, when he wants a date he puts everything in it.
armin arlert
armin is a total sweetheart, and it is not surprising that he likes nature dates. I picture that he’d take you out on a picnic by the beach or in a field of flowers during summer and spring. During fall, he’d go to a pumpkin patch with you and in winter he’d definitely go ice skating with you, even though he may not be the best at it. he absolutely loves spending hours with you out there in the cold, watching how your nose and cheeks grow rosy because of the cold, and he would warm you up by giving you light pecks on the tip of your nose
eren yeager
eren is probably a little basic, he would take you out to a movie theater or to a restaurant. however that doesn’t mean that he puts little effort in it, because he pays attention to what you like or not, and he wants to make sure that it’s the perfect date for you. For example, when you go to a restaurant, eren would harass the staff to make you your favourite meal, even if it’s not on the menu. this boy is also the type to take you to the movie theater to watch a scary movie, because he hopes that you’ll get scared and cling to him for comfort. It may be a classic thing to do on a date, but eren still manages to make it adorable for you. even when you simply hang out at his place, eren will organise many things for you to enjoy, like baking together, or even drawing, despite the fact that his skills are very questionable in that matter.
jean kirschtein
jean definitely wants a date where the two of you can have fun and spend time together. of course he’s always down to go to a fancy restaurant with you or to just watch movies and cuddle, but he also likes to be adventurous. I feel like he would take you to an amusement park, and you two would end up clinging to each other while going down a rollercoaster. jean is also the type of boy to spend his money on a fair game, where he could win you a big stuffed toy. finally, jean would probably take you stargazing in a field at night, which is his idea of a perfect calm date.
erwin smith
i can picture erwin taking you on dates where the only purpose is spoiling you. i mean that he could take you on a shopping spree, and buy you all of your expensive jewellery and clothes. erwin would also book a spa massage for the two of you to enjoy. he would also bring you gifts and flowers every time he’d take you out, because the man loves spoiling you. finally, if the two of you want to go on a more creative and interesting date, erwin would probably take you hiking, or he would teach you different new sports. during the winter, the man would gladly go sledding with you, or even just take a walk in a snowy forest.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
her bedroom looks something like this. very girly in the delicate way where you can tell she hasn’t really done much redecoration from when she was a little girl. a little bit less neat than these pictures, and always has crumbs in her bed that john b has to dust off before he gets in— muttering something along the lines of “how do these even get in here, pup?”
has a lot of random stuff that doesn’t go with the aesthetic of her room just from finding them at yard sales / thrift stores and was unable to part with them like ratty teddy bears and lava lamps that she sometimes sits infront of and stares at for ages and loses track of time completely. lots and lots of polaroids of her with her loved ones hung up. pics of her w the pogues, fav family members, john b, a random polaroid of rafe with his thumbs up and no one even knows when she took it or why or why rafe looks so friendly it’s honestly a mystery
kitty!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
always a little on the messier side. bed is haphazardly made for when jj comes over (as if he cares) and she has a clothing rail that’s always overflowing with outfit choices and shoes. lots of posters and random trinkets. definitely has a knife or something stuck in the wall from a fit of rage and now uses it to hang up underwear or jewellery. a pair of handcuffs on her wall just for decoration.
her bed has to be veryyy soft and comfortable because she is so sleepy and will sleep all day if you let her. this being said, she spends a lot of time on the floor too. whether jj is finding her curled up napping on the carpet when he comes over, or she’s wanting to play fight with him on the rug and eventually end up holding him close and riding him when the bed is right there.

very very organised for all her fashion / self care related items. she may be ditsy but she has a very specific way she likes all her girly stuff to be organised so she knows exactly where to find it when she’s getting ready. the only times she really gets cross with rafe and starts thumping her foot about is when he comes over and curiously starts looking through her stuff and ruining her whole system.
her bedroom is literally a pink princess palace, honestly took rafe a while to get used to all the pink — and he can never hide where he is in pictures etc because everyone knows your iconic bedroom from your instagram!

getting her own post because there’s a lot of stuff to her bedroom and i want to go through it all <3

my good looking boy
tachihara michizou x reader headcanons reader is the same age as tachihara, reader's organisation is unspecified he won this poll which was SO CLOSE!! i put the hirotsu thing on as a joke and expected it not to get votes but i do have one rotting away in my drafts. and tecchou will come next, i will deff write him next but idk if i will post a draft before that.
tachihara michizou, a double spy but also your boyfriend. who tells you the drama from both organisations. who tells you about how freaky he finds gin but can't place who she looks awfully similar to.. when you suggest a resemblance between her and akutagawa he claims you are seeing things that aren't there.
tachihara michizou, who is the life of the party. and you get to go to both port mafia parties and hunting dog parties as long as you keep his secret! from jumping off of balconies into pools with you on his back, singing karaoke together and truly showing how young you both are.
tachihara michizou, who picks up scrap metal and manipulates it to make you intricate pieces of jewellery. speaking of manipulating metal, he will lift up your necklace when you least expect it.. entertain you by pulling tetcho's sword away from him.. anything for a smile.
tachihara michizou, who has you dye his hair. you tease him about willingly being a ginger (sorry to all the gingers) but you think it suits him so much!
tachihara michizou, who has a rebellious side that you enforce and you both cause chaos to whoever you work with. if you went to highschool together, god bless your teachers! but, he also shows his calmer side around you.
speaking of a calmer side, tachihara michizou, has a 10/10 cuddle game. you heard it here first! he has to see a lot of violence from the port mafia so getting to relax is his favourite time and he pushes his lively self away for when you two can have sleepovers.
tachihara michizou, who is great with kids. he doesn't need to babysit a lot but if you have younger siblings? he can entertain them for hours. whether it be an 8 year old or a 15 year old, he has stories to tell from his school days.
proof:
Tumblr media
tachihara michizou, who tells you about shunzen. about what happened and how much he looked up to him. i like to think michizou also wears a dogtag like shunzen.
tachihara michizou, who plays with your hair. like in the screenshot above, when he hangs out with elise he probably talks about you so she tries to teach him how to do hair.
tachihara michizou, who wants to be as built as tetcho. i know they don't have any canon interactions but TRUST.
tachihara michizou, who matches earrings with you!
tachihara michizou, who is one of my many bsd bfs and i hope this post converted you to be a tachilover as well.

Sif!Reader x Ror Thor
➩ You and Thor after a long day at Valhalla's court finally are let free! You suggest a picnic to Thor, because you know he loves food and nothing more then to spend the rest of his day with you. But he wonders how you'd be able to set one up so quickly?
➩ Reader type: Female reader.
⚠: Just wholesome romantic fluff!
A/N: Hope you enjoy it, it's my first little story after all!! <3
Tumblr media
After a lengthy meeting in the majestic court of Valhalla, Thor and Y/n emerged, the weight of their responsibilities momentarily lifted.
The couple stepped into the golden glow of the late afternoon, holding each other's hands tightly. The air was filled with a strange warmth and sense of excitement.
Y/n, with her long hair flowing in the celestial breeze, turned to Thor with a mischievous smile.
"How about we escape the formality for a while and enjoy a peaceful picnic in the fields?"
Y/n suggested, lovingly lifting the hand she had held Thor's hand with, to cup his strong face.
Thor, ever the warrior with a heart that longed for simple joys, agreed enthusiastically in his own way, his unchanging face remains the same.
Though for y/n he would crack a small grin, even blush at the touch of the goddess he loved and admired so much.
"A picnic sounds..splendid! But how do you plan to organise it on such short notice?" he asks, his yellow eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Y/n chuckled to herself, the golden jewellery she wore around her wrists clicking softly against the keys she kept hanging off her side.
"Fear not, my dear Thunderer. For I have orchestrated many tea parties and picnics, I know a thing or two about creating delightful gatherings."
"Heh, If you say so y/n..i believe you~"
Thor grunts happily, his grin still remaining. Y/n really did bring joy and more of a purpose to his life.
Later when they strolled through the celestial fields, a place they had originally met a long time ago.
Y/n brought out a basket filled with fruits, nectar from the divine flowers, and an assortment of heavenly treats.
All things she knew Thor would enjoy after such a long day!
A blanket appeared beneath y/n's fingertips, woven with threads from the golden looms of Asgard.
Y/n smiles proudly as she watches Thor's eyes widen in surprise.
"When were you able to do this love..?"
Thor asks once more, rather confused that he hadn't seen this side of her abilities. Y/n just winks at Thor, ever so gleeful to have taken Thor by surprise.
She knew how unpredictable she could be, but that's what made her so interesting and for Thor to keep his attention on her.
"Looks like you'll have to pay more attention to me now, huh~?"
Under the radiant sun of Asgard, Thor and y/n found the perfect spot with a gorgeous view of the golden fields surrounding them.
They sat down together on top of the gold woven blanket and with y/n's magical touch, she adorned the surroundings with long crops that seemed to dance around them. Pulling the godly couple closer.
The mighty god of thunder watched in awe as y/n effortlessly transformed the space into a haven of tranquillity.
Thor felt his cheeks flush red like his long locks, his heart beat raising and a familiar warmth build up inside his muscular body.
"By my father's beard, you truly are a marvel, y/n" Thor exclaimed, admiration gleaming in his piercing yellow eyes.
Y/n grinned, her basket at her side as she settled onto the blanket. "A god's skills extend beyond the battlefield, my dear. Now, let us relish in what I've packed us."
Y/n was going to reach into the basket to pull out the fruits and snacks, but before she was able to put them on the golden blanket, Thor's tall and muscular frame leaned over y/n's smaller body.
Thor reached out, his fingers gently tracing the side of Y/n's face. A mixture of vulnerability and passion played across his strong features.
Y/n couldn't help but soften in response to Thor's touch. Without uttering a word, Thor leaned in, their warm soft lips meeting in a kiss.
It was a merging of two souls bound by destiny. The world around them seemed to fade away as they lost themselves in the embrace, surrounded by the rustling crops and the fading light of day.
The kiss lingered, a testament to the depth of their connection. When they finally pulled away, a silent understanding passed between them.
No words were needed to express the complex emotions that had woven themselves into the fabric of that shared moment. As they stood together in the field of crops, bathed in the dying sunlight.
"I love you so much Y/N..now let us feast~♡"

Prompt #31
A world where demons see mortals as extremely below them, almost on the level of objects.
In a fit of almost-desperation, A makes a deal with the demon-ruler, B. Their hearts desire, for a lifetime of ‘service’. Turns out, ‘service’ means becoming a slightly glorified accessory.
A is brought to the demon realm, and immediately shrunk, four inches tall. They’re kept in a cage with food except when there’s an important event, at which point B adorns their horns with chains, and (as demon custom) they hang up their rarest or most precious object between. A is tied up by their hands in between the horns and forced to stay there for as long as the event lasts
It’s not a common thing to do with humans, but it’s not unheard of. No one pays attention to A.
Except- one servant of B, who disagrees with this treatment of humans, but C can’t speak up about it for fear of execution.
Until, the annual demon party, where everyone is considered on an equal status to the monarch for the three nights it lasts.
There’s a fight, organised for every demon to have fun. The winner gets their opponent’s jewellery and jewels forfeited to them. C sets their eyes on A’s scared and upset face between chains and challenges B
A doesn’t know what C wants with them

hey can you psychoanalyse me using one piece of information.
information: i ordered my jewellery on the wall and put the pins i used to hang them on in rainbow order
Your concept of one piece of information interests me, this seems like at least two. Otherwise, this seems to suggest you are organised, perhaps a perfectionist, and also gay.
Your psychological profile was most similar to: Lyfrassir Edda

since I can't give you the world
Heist!Mark x reader | Words: 1,279 | Read on AO3
After a job that goes surprisingly smoothly, Heist!Mark has a gift for his partner in crime.
Despite operating in part within a larger network of criminals, it was rare for you and your heist partner to take on jobs from others, ultimately preferring to work independently. You knew you could trust one another, and freelance work meant the two of you could determine the stakes and carefully plot every point of your plan with space for improvisation if necessary, all without being accountable to anyone. It just suited you better.
On occasion, though, you would take up jobs from higher criminal organisations that could provide you with certain tech or aid in covering your tracks, or from rich clients looking for individuals to do their dirty work.
This heist had been one of those such occasions.
A wealthy tycoon had offered a generous deposit in exchange for the two of you infiltrating the penthouse belonging to the family of a rival business. Your client claimed that the owner of the company had taken some precious jewels from him and his own family's possession in their youth, and it remained mysteriously lost for years until they later had them fashioned into a jewellery set and supposedly tried to pass them off as a family heirloom. He wanted you to steal it back, saying you could take whatever else you wanted to throw any suspicion away from himself.
There was no way you could confirm this story, and usually you wouldn't choose to involve yourselves in something so personal and petty on someone else's behalf, but in addition to the incredible sum of money the client was offering just for accepting the job, this would be a fairly simple heist, with him making all the arrangements for you to get in posed as guests to a soirée held at the target location. The only catch was that you had to figure out your own escape, but with your experience it wasn't much of an issue.
The client had provided you with instructions on where to look for the items (he had refused to disclose the source of this intel, which was probably for the best).
You and Mark were able to get into the lavish event without any problems and even had fun enjoying the party before you made your move, easily slipping away from the hubbub; you made your way to distract the guard on standby so Mark could get past unnoticed.
‘Got it!’ Mark had exclaimed in a proud half-whisper, his voice coming through the earpiece communication device tucked away out of sight behind your hair. ‘And I took some other valuables n’ stuff so it looks like a more general robbery, rather than us being after something specific.’
You kept up your conversational diversion for a couple more minutes, giving Mark the chance to sneak out of the room undetected, before thanking the guard for escorting you thus far and heading on your way.
‘Ah! I think I know where to go from here, thank you ever so much for your help,’ you said in an overly grateful tone that felt far too sweet (but worked wonders). You heard Mark scoff at the other end of the line.
As the two of you slipped out and into the night, the triumph and excitement in the air between you was palpable.
‘Oooh, nice haul!’ you said gleefully, peeking into the bag of loot while Mark drove you both back to base. Meanwhile, the jewellery set for the client sat safely in its own case.
All-in-all, it had turned out to be one of your most successful heists.
Later, you have everything laid out to total up your prizes, still somewhat giddy, like kids counting up arcade tickets to see what they can win.
‘Oh! I almost forgot, I've got something for you,’ Mark says, reaching into the pocket of his suit jacket, which lies over the chair behind him.
Your head perks up with curiosity.
He holds out his hand to you, and in it is an ornate, blue pendant in a teardrop shape, hanging from a delicate gold chain. You can't say for sure what kind of gem or crystal it is, but the cut of the azure stone catches the light in such a way that you can't quite keep your eyes off it. The bail attaching the pendant has a spiralling design embedded in the metal. Overall, it's a beautiful piece.
‘Now, I know it wasn't what we were after but while I was searching the room, I saw it and I can't put my finger on why, but it made me think of you. And it was just sitting around collecting dust, y'know? I just figured, might as well give this to someone who'll actually appreciate it.’
You take the necklace gently from his hands, examining the craftsmanship between your fingers. And you think you might see why it reminded him of you. Well, not really, more like you feel it — a vague sense of familiarity about the design that you can't place, like something from a dream or long-forgotten memory.
‘Yeah,’ he says with a grin. ‘Oh— of course, if you'd rather pool it in with the rest of the loot and get your money's worth instead, that's totally fine. I won't mind, I just thought you deserve to have something for yourself.’
‘Mark… Did you steal this, for me?’
He says it casually, but the whole notion leaves you feeling incredibly touched.
‘Mark. If you got this especially for me I'm not gonna sell it. This is really thoughtful, I love it.’
‘Aw, no problem, buddy. It's nothing.’
‘No, it's not nothing. Thank you. Really.’
‘Well… I'm glad you like it.’ He smiles and you hold each other's gaze for a moment. ‘Oh — here, let me- ’
He takes the necklace from you and after a second you realise he intends to help you put it on.
He leans closer, unclasping the chain carefully.
‘So, what's the occasion?’ you ask, conscious of how his hands brush against your skin as he moves them to close the clasp behind your neck.
‘Do I need a reason to give my friend a gift?’
‘... I guess not.’
He lingers in your space a bit longer than necessary, hands just barely resting at the curve where your neck meets your shoulders.
And maybe it's the tenderness and unspoken intimacy of this physical act, or that you're used to taking and not so much receiving, or the fact that he thought to keep this for you at all, but for whatever reason, your heart feels incredibly full.
‘It suits you.’
After that day, you wear your new accessory all the time when you're home.
You refuse to wear it out, even if you're simply going to meet with friends or the two of you are on a standard grocery run, out of fear that it'll get lost or damaged or, ironically, stolen.
Regardless, Mark can tell how much it means to you by the way he'll notice it hanging over your collar bones when you groggily traipse over to the kitchen for breakfast every morning, or how it is still around your neck when you fall asleep slumped against him in your living room by the end of the day. And whenever anyone comes over to visit, you wear it proudly, and he feels himself swell with happiness and pride in turn when your friends compliment it and you mention how ‘Mark gave it to me’.
You truly do love your gift, but what you cherish far more is the care behind the gesture, and the fact that he looks pleased whenever you wear it.
You'll have to find some way to return the favour.

Did/does keep a lot of mementos? I was thinking about them (RTC) again (as per usual)..
I can answer for both MC and Quinn - in there will be no answer I establish that the only thing that was MC's specifically that Quinn keeps is a leather jacket BUT, Quinn is a massive memonto and trinket keeper. Her bedroom is full of mementos like you can see in this excerpt from chapter 4:
There’s very little empty space on the shelves, though they’re organised in such a way that they don’t look cluttered. They display books, potted plants, and countless knickknacks and keepsakes. Some of them you have seen before; there’s the vintage record player that you’d bought together at a second-hand market fresh out of high school. A jewellery box your mother had gifted to Quinn for her seventeenth birthday. An ugly vase she’d made at a pottery class. But there’s many items that you can’t place; a wall of polaroids full of faces you don’t recognise, a framed travel map with pins in places you’ve never been before. The jewellery box is full of ornate pieces you couldn’t possibly afford, though you can see a woven friendship bracelet you’d made for her in school hanging next to a pair of glimmering earrings that you think might be real diamonds.
Quinn is a memento ass bitch. There's stuff I could say here re: her living in the past (cough cough resisting the current) but I won't make this a million words long.
MC, on the other hand, isn't really like this (now). Seeing all of the above mementos in Quinn's room actually upsets them. Both because it's a harsh reminder how how much Quinn has changed (and, in their mind, moved on) but also because it's a reminder of a past they feel a lot less happy about. They did collect patches on the above mentioned leather jacket that were mementos, but I don't think they'd do it anymore. After some therapy and if they reconciled with their relationship with the past, this could change.
But! MC does like trinkets in some respects! I think I've mentioned a few times that their keys are just absolutely loaded with novelty keychains - there's like, three of those pompom things, a Tamagotchi that's long died from starvation, a bunch of resin ones from various etsy stores, a mini torch, a little and basically useless screwdriver, a bunch of friendship bracelets and scoobies - you get the idea. Also, a million keys. So many keys. MC uses three of them. This keychain could be used to bludgeon someone in an emergency.

I went to the Leeds Queer Market!
Some purchases I made and some new creators to follow.
Tumblr media
I went along to the Leeds Playhouse this afternoon before we went to see Barbie later on, and I was super pleased to go along — they were up on one of the floors in the Playhouse where the kitchen is, with various tables set up selling arts and crafts, jewellery, prints, cacti, and so on.
The market is run by Quercus Craft, I think every month or so? And I just wanted to show off some of the things I picked up and link to the creators’ stores and social media!
---
Firstly, I picked up this gorgeous print from Matt David (they/them), who is a queer Scottish artist based out of London — a lot of their work grapples with queerness and sexuality, including safe sex and HIV awareness, but also layers of symbolism, how symbols are created and communicated, and there’s this big thematic trend of exploring the symbology around queer bodies, the ways in which they’re objectified through fellow queer gazes, to incredible effect.
Tumblr media
I love this piece so much — Matt David has several pieces like this one where they create these layered cyanotype portraits whilst also scanning the condoms through, and because of the material of the condoms and the lubricant on them, they have this incredible shine effect on them. I adore this piece, Hey Daddy, because of the halo-like shimmer of the condom’s ring over the figure’s head, and I’m so, so excited to put this in a gold frame and hang it up in my new place once I’m moved in.
As well as these figures using condoms, they also have some beautiful colour portraiture featuring different queer heroes — I especially love this piece of Marsha P. Johnson — and do other forms of portraiture and sketches!
They’re open for commissions, as I said, and they’re also the Art Editor for Snowflake Magazine.
You can check out Matt David and purchase their work on:
Their website / / Instagram / / Etsy
---
I picked up a few pieces of jewellery from Abigaia (she/her), a (n English) northerner and queer witch who plays a lot with themes of nature and spirituality in her work — she’s got a big focus on using sustainable materials in her craftwork as well as in its packaging, which is so awesome to see, the values of the work itself extended to its packaging materials.
Tumblr media
I was super excited about the variety of charms and pendants she had on show — I picked up a snake, a rainbow mushroom, and a serotonin symbol, but she had so many to choose from. On her website, you can buy a mystery charm for £4, or ask for a specific charm in the notes — she’s got a huge variety of nature-based and spiritual symbols, including different animals, traditional websites, flora and mushrooms, a few chemical structures, and different pagan religious symbols.
If you love tarot, she’s also got some gorgeous earring sets featuring different tarot cards!
You can check out Abigaia and purchase her work on:
The Abigaia website / / Instagram
---
From Nad (she/they), I only picked up a pair of pronoun stickers for my partners, but you should absolutely check out the broad array of their work!
Nadya Griendroheru is an Indonesian artist and illustrator who just creates some absolutely gorgeous examples of character design — they have a really awesome flow and use of colour in their work with exaggerated angles and features, bright yellows, oranges, reds, greens, with a real sense of movement and personality conveyed in each print and piece.
Tumblr media
She had a bunch of different Breaking Bad characters with pronouns printed on them (except for the one of Hank, which says ACAB), just like this one, and I just thought they were hilarious.
You can check out and browse more of Nad’s artwork on:
Their website / / Instagram
---
Tumblr media
PRALER is the Planet Repairs Action Learning Educational Revolution, which is a big initiative building and promoting resistance and organisational networks, especially to further empower communities and organisations in the Global South and to address and take apart miseducation elsewhere, especially in regards to dismantling white supremacist and imperialist systems and propaganda.
You can check out more about PRALER on their website here:
Melany was selling incense they make themselves, and also bags from Mochilas para sanar, a platform for selling mochilas by indigenous Colombian creators, Mama Zenchina and Haba Ulaca, with 80% of proceeds going to the creators and 20% going to Somos Semillas, an organisation dedicated to educating about and collating resources for the Abya Yala diaspora.
The bags are handwoven from cactus fibres and you can see them on the Mochilas para sanar Instagram!
They’re also going to be at the Queer Carboot on Sheaf Street tomorrow (30 July 2023), so if you’re based in Leeds and you’re upset you missed the Queer Market, absolutely go along and seek them out!
---
Tumblr media
I don’t think that they have any of their earrings available for sale on their online store at the moment, but if you do see them selling in person anywhere, they do a variety of earrings like this one, as well as geckos and lizards, frogs, candies and sweets, and they’re very cute! They also had on the stall a range of badges and stickers, little ornaments, and so on.
Build Your Jungle UK produce a lot of resources and guides to cultivating and looking after tropical plants at home, as well as creating some utterly gorgeous prints and stickers showing different varieties of plants and foliage, and also frogs!
The creators, Sofi (they/them) and Han (they/he) both have backgrounds in graphic design, so they collaborate on making these gorgeous illustrative posters and stickers of different plants you might cultivate in the home, and the pieces are just so vibrant and alive in their use of popping colour and really clean linework that makes every piece seem to pop right off the page.
You can find more from Build Your Jungle UK, check out their educational resources, and buy prints and stickers on:

For the relationship edition OC ask: Care: How does your OC engage in self-care, if at all? If they don't, why not? Companions: Is your OC part of an adventuring group? A band of travelers? A guild, a team, a crew? What's the group dynamic, and how does your OC feel about their companions? Exit: Has your OC ever had someone important leave their life in a way that was unremarkable, unintentional, or clumsy? How do they feel about it? Is there any chance they'll meet again?
Thank you for the asks! Answering for all 4. CARE- Aeryn Ryder - She likes to kick back when she can, usually with a drink and friends. Her meditation though, is being out there, exploring planets and fighting bad guys. Battle is a meditation for her. She also considers her appearance part of self care and is meticulous with it. Dyeing her hair takes so long it's almost become a ritual she locks herself away for. Seren Jones- She tries. She used to visit Enhance regularly to upkeep her appearance. But after what happened, she let herself go due to depression and grief. Eventually she worked through it and paid a long overdue visit. She tries to read to relax, but she could never get the hang of actual meditation. She does enjoy finding beautiful locations in her explorations and just enjoying the view for a bit. Zofie Orel- She trains if she had pent up energy she need to burn or stress to work off. If she wants to relax she reads or works on her jewellery. Her apartment has a large bath to which she does enjoy pampering herself and is forever grateful Sarif's augs are water tolerant. Kiara Black - She's practical. She keeps clean and tidy. If she wants to relax, then a good book is all she needs. COMPANIONS- Aeryn Ryder- Her crew are a mixed bunch. Some she chose, others were part of the team already that she became leader of. It's very much a dysfunctional family and although she is younger than some of them, they defer to her judgement. She gets on better with some of them then others, which is natural, but she knows they'd all have her back. Seren Jones - She was part of Constellation in her OG verse and felt at home as soon as she joined. She got on with everyone, though it wasn't until Sam died that she and Sarah grew closer, as the leader of the group was very supportive during her grief. Now it very much depends on the universe she finds herself in. Sometimes she joins up with the Constellation there, other times other groups and sometimes keeps to herself. Zofie Orel- She is part of the Coterie of Assassins, so although she mostly works alone, is part of a world spanning organisation she can call on. Her home branch in London is like family to her as she grew up there mostly. Kiara Black - No, she's always relied on herself, trusting few people. Garrett and Basso are the two she will work with.
EXIT - Aeryn Jones - Her twin brother is stuck in a coma right now after his cryo pod got damaged before his revival. She is praying he wakes up because she misses his counsel. Seren Jones- So many people, in every universe, just gone when she steps through Unity like walking through a door. She knows there is a slim chance of seeing them again, if they too pass through Unity and become Starborn. She misses Cora the most - she's seen versions of her in other universes. Older versions, but they arent the one she left. Zofie Orel - Her fellow Assassins she's worked with outside her own Coterie. Once done, that's it, she leaves and they carry one. Dean and Nick Morel who she worked with in Paris are two she'd love to work with again. Kiara Black - No one left her life, she left theirs. Left her parents in the night and crossed an ocean to try and keep both them and her safe. It killed her to do it, but she knew staying would be a death sentence for all of them. She hopes one day she can return.

A truce, among other things.
(A/N: This is set at the same time as Dancing with My Love. You can read it in my book called Soukoku Stories. This can be read on its own but it may not make much sense. (To clarify Yukichi took Mori's last name.) Also I wote this all in one go, staying up way to late so sorry for any errors. I tried to fix all the continuity errors but I might have missed one. No beta we die like Kunikida's sanity.)
under the cut due to length (3,051 words)
Mori Yukichi's perspective
We slipped away as soon as everyone else turned their backs to prepare for the event this morning, but still leaving Elise to cover for us.
When we pause for breath I can hear commotion from the main event space. “Hmm, It sounds like double black is making quite a scene at the party?”
“Don’t pay attention to them, Yuki, they don’t matter. Whatever it is, we’ll deal with it later.” Rintrou’s voice is velvet in my ear and his eyes dance with every shade of purple and red, a kaleidoscope. He wants to be the centre of my attention and I’ll gladly oblige.
“Indeed.” and as soon as I say the words his body is against me again.
Kunikida's Perspective
Dazai consorting with a mafia executive! I know that we’re on truce but this looks like something more. The Executive used his first name, nobody, NOBODY uses Dazai uses Dazai’s first name. And now they’re floating! I wonder how long Dazai has been in contact with the executive, how long they have been sharing information, and how deep the betrayal runs. I can gather facts later but the president must be informed of this, if only I knew where he was.
I scan the event space one more time and come up once again empty. More curious than ever I leave the room to search other areas, determined to find the president.
— – – – —
Every room is empty. I sigh. Did they go somewhere else? I can’t imagine both the heads of the organisations abandoning a party celebrating the unity of said organisations.
I start to walk back to the main event space when I see a hall I didn’t notice before. I start to walk down it, checking the rooms as I go. They’re all mostly closets, but I guess I should check every room anyway just in case the boss decided the best place to hold a secret meeting would be a closet. It makes sense, somewhere no one else ever thought to look.
Mori Rintarou's Perspective
Yuki’s lips are hot against my own, one hand tangled in my hair and the other around my waist, pulling me closer, deeper, and I wish so badly to be at home where we could do this properly, not in this dusty storage room.
Then he pulls away. I pout, trying to get him back.
“Now, now Rintarou, you’ve given me a gift, it’s my turn.”
Reluctantly I allow him to step back and retrieve something from his pocket. He doesn't bother fixing his shirt, which hangs open and I admire chest and torso, even in the faint glow of the oil lamp he looks dazzling.
“Hands out, close your eyes, darling.”
Amused, I oblige. Something almost . . . soft is placed into my open hands, it has a nice weight to it.
“Can I . . .”
“Mhm.” Yuki affirms with a kiss on my forehead. I open my eyes slowly, dragging out the moment.
“Nothing is going to jump out at me, right?”
He ruffles my hair. “No, darling, I am 45 not 5. I think I’ll leave the pop up cards to Elise.”
“Yes, my love, you are so very old.” I tease, looking down at the box, unassuming black velvet square, a jewellery box.
It opens revealing a red lining and resisting inside are a pair of shining silver cufflinks and a tie clip with red stones that by the looks of them are rubies. I shut the box gently.
“Oh, Yuki!” the words are breathless at the beautiful gifts, “Not one gift but two. You didn’t have to, you shouldn’t have.” I blush and kiss my husband on his nose.
He blinks in surprise. It’s adorable. “You declared a truce with the Armed Detective Agency, threw this party—”
I cut him off. “But you know how I love giving the love of my life presents, and it is our 15th anniversary.”
He continues, “You also bought me 10 new plants, a new Yukuta and Haori, and that Indian tea I wanted to try.” He blushes as he lists off the presents I gave him this morning. “So yes, I think this is very appropriate.”
Before I can protest about the surly exorbitant pricing of the items, Yuki opens the box and takes out the tie clip, “At least try them on for me, hmm?”
(A/N: Author-san has no idea how much tie clips or cufflinks cost)
“Alright, anything for my love.”
Yuki sets the box down with the clip in it and focuses on re-buttoning my shirt. I hand him my tie, and he lets his hands trail my collar as he places it back under my shirt collar, he continues to be careless with his touch as he ties it, I shiver.
When my tie is back in place he fastens the clip and pulls an old chipped mirror from behind a pile of boxes.
“You look dashing, Rintarou.”
I watch my reflection for a second then throw on my coat. He’s right, the tie clip does look good.
“You have excellent taste, Yuki.”
He smiles and rests his chin on my shoulder, observing our reflection.
“Good looking people are easy to dress.” he kisses my ear, whispering sweetly, “You’d look good in anything, Rintarou.”
“As would you.”
Yuki doesn’t answer, instead taking the cufflinks from the box and fastening them onto my shirt. They too look fashionable. I turn around and kiss my husband.
He kisses me back and in seconds the tie clip is off, returned safely to the box along with the cufflinks, my jacket is on the floor and his hands are against my collar once more, the tie being undone yet again.
The tie falls to the floor and we’re against each other again, his shirt joins his blazer and my jacket on the floor.
Kunikida's Perspective
I’ve checked almost all the rooms on the hall and they’re all closets, and all empty. But there’s still one last room at the end, it looks bigger than the others just from the size of the door.
A dull light of some kind seems to be on inside. This must be where the president and the Port Mafia boss are having their meeting. I walk towards it.
I’m about to knock when I hear muffled gasps and what seems like moaning.
Mori must be trying to smother or strangle the president.
I kick in the door and raise my stun gun.
When the door opens a most peculiar sight meets my eyes. Mori is on top of the president but there are no weapons in sight and both men are shirtless. They look up at me like animals caught in a staring contest with a car's high beams.
“Kunikida-san.” The president nods his head in friendly greeting, “we, uh, we were just—”
“I DON'T NEED TO KNOW!!!” I yell at the two men as I turn on my heel and rush to leave the scene as soon as possible, just a little guilty for yelling at my superior.
(A/N: Author-san needs jesus!)
Mori Yukichi's Perspective
"Such a shame, I was just about to tell him we were—"
I throw a hand over my husband's mouth before he can make this situation any worse, even though poor Kunikida is long gone.
"mngffshdf" he mumbles from under my hand
"What?" I ask removing my hand slowly
"I said: wouldn't it have been funnier if we'd been in a closet?"
"What? No! This space has way more room than any closet, why ever would we want to be in a closet?"
My husband just laughs but offers no answer. I don't dwell on it.
"You know, the funny thing is, Yuki, that the door was actually unlocked." Rintarou smiles mischievously.
"What!?" I'm shocked at this news.
"Yes, that buffoon had no reason to kick down the door."
"But why was it unlocked in the first place?"
"Well you said no one would come looking for us and," his voice drops into a whisper, a seductive purr, "I was in a hurry to get to other things." He drags a finger down my chest stopping at my belt buckle with the lightest touch. My stomach flutters with warmth.
"Well, now I have to pay for the damages to the door." I sigh.
Rintaruo stops touching me immediately, looking aghast, "You will do no such thing, this place was my idea, therefore I shall pay."
"By Rintarou you've done so much for me already."
"Nonsense," he argues, "it's fine. I know the owner of this place, the expense is nothing."
Hmm, he seems determined to pay, at this rate we'll still be arguing this by the time the party's over and then we'll be far too tired to do anything once we get home. I know it early in the argument but I think I'd better pull out my secret weapon.
"But Rin-chan, letting me pay would be a gift in and of itself. As you said the cost isn't that much. You can even give the money to the owner, as long as it comes from my pocket."
I watch my husband melt.
"Now, I think it's time we got back to the party, we're both due to make closing announcements in an hour or so, people will be wondering where we've gone. It will be suspicious if we leave early after all we have been gone the whole day. After the party we can do whatever we like." I emphasise the last sentence with a kiss to his neck, he sighs. I know I have his approval.
Both reluctant, we fix our clothes and begin out the broken door when something catches my eye.
"Darling, come here for a moment." I try to keep my voice steady as panic rises.
Rintarou obviously sees right through me. "Yukichi? What's the matter?"
I don't answer him but as he approaches me the heat in my cheeks only increases. I could see it even when he was two metres away but now my fears are confirmed. An array of roundish bruises stain the pale skin of Rintarou's neck, and a small one is beginning to form on his bottom lip. All of them are my doing. (I didn't mean to bite him, I really didn't.)
I groan, "Darling why must you bruise so easily?" I'm not really asking him, more myself for not remembering.
"Bruise?" he asks, his eyes becoming wide with realisation, "Oh. . . . I see."
Mori Rintarou's Perspective
“I’m so sorry, I’m so stupid. I completely forgot.”
Yuki looks so genuinely sorry that I have to laugh.
“I’m not sorry. Not in the slightest.” I tell him.
“But Rintarou, they’ll notice.”
I can’t stop laughing.
“How are you laughing about this?”
“Simple, just tell them you tried to strangle me.”
“And you lip?” He raises an extremely sceptical eyebrow.
“Nothing a punch to the mouch couldn’t have done.”
“But, did you forget that we’re on a truce?”
“We can tell them it was personal.” I let the last word hang heavily in the air.
Yuki huffs and flips the collar of my jacket up as if against an invisible wind.
“Don’t say a word.” he instructs.
“Are you ashamed of me, Yukichi?” I tease
Pain crosses his features, He pulls me close to his warm body embracing me in a different way then we have been so far today, softly, as if I’m something breakable, I don’t hate it.
“Of course not, Rintarou, I love you more than anything and I would love for the entire world to know that. But I don’t think now is the best time to tell everyone,” The words come out urgent and worried. “things are still so unstable, and we don’t need any more surprises for—”
“I was only teasing Yuki. I know all of these things, and I know you love me.”
He gives me a kiss on the top of my head in lieu of more words, and takes my hand leading me out of the door.
We don’t talk until we reach the door to the main event hall. I don’t want to be the first to let go and I know Yuki doesn’t wither but he does.
He goes in first, taking a seat in a chair next to the only one of his subordinates whose name I know. Edogawa Ranpo. The child genius hands him a book and Yuki begins to “read” it.
I slide into the room and stand behind Elise-chan and Kouyou. Elsie-chan gives me a dirty look. I shrug at her and she sticks out her tongue. Her sharp eyes dart straight to my lips. I blush. She makes a gagging gesture and looks away.
No one notices our arrival, they’re all preoccupied by something above them.
I look up as well.
My ex and current executives dance as if standing on an unseen plain. They’re dancing reflects their fighting, graceful and perfectly in sync, truly something to watch. They seem to be talking about something and then they’re kissing. I look over to my lover who shares a knowing smile. While very much their own people, the two young husbands remind us of ourselves in many ways.
Gasps of shock, squeaks of disgust and whispers fill the hall. Imagine what a scene Yuki and I would make. I chuckle, no one hears it. It doesn't escape my notice that Akutagawa-kun looks at the weretiger and blushes.
I don’t watch, instead staring at Yuki, his face is a carefully practised mask of peace. I know he must be laughing inside.
When I do look up, Chuuya is pulling away from Dazai, they banter and then Chuuya scoops up Dazai and they rejoin us on the ground floor.
Neither Yuki nor I gives a comment, despite the fact that our words would probably ease the situation.
“What?” Dazai’s words ring out and echo in the positively silent rings. I can hear someone eating.
"We're married." The boys say the words together, looking at only each other as they address the room.
Whispers become full fledged conversations and even some shouts. Chuuya is already leading his partner away. As expected, he already has alcohol in his hands and they start running. I smile a bittersweet smile. How many times have I dreamt of doing something like this with Yuki, or even running away in general.
A hand slides around my waist and then disappears, I turn. My own husband stands behind me.
“I don’t think anyone will be paying attention to anything more that we have to say. What do you think, Mori-dono?”
Our thoughts have aligned as usual.
“I think that you’re right, Fukuzawa-dono.” It feels so strange using Yuki’s former surname after all the kissing we’ve been doing today. We both smile. “How cruel do you think it would be to leave now and let them fight amongst each other until they tire?”
“I think it is unnecessary.” he doesn't exactly answer the question.
I pout, then hide it quickly and we walk to the centre of the event space. Elise-chan, like the dear she is, follows.
“Everyone, do calm down. You are not a flock of riled geese. You are members of two prestigious organisations gathered here today for peace not this . . . petty banter as if you are children fighting over the last crayon.” I turn up the disgust in my voice and I can tell even out of the corner of my eye that Yuki wants so badly to laugh.
My statement shuts everyone up. Yuki takes over.
“What you saw today was young love against many odds. It is far more than many of us will ever get to have, and for that we may applaud Chuuya and Dazai. It does not matter your personal opinions, nothing less than your respect is expected. Treat them as you would yourself wish to be treated. Their relationship is none of your business anymore than,” Yuki pauses as if deciding something. I freeze. Is he going to . . . “anyone else's. They have a right to privacy just like everyone else and neither Mori-san nor I will tolerate any further mentioning of these two men in a negative manner. We have far more enlightened topics of conversation than the love life of those two. ” He looks to me with a smile, “Gossip is for children.”
When he stops the silence is heavy and everyone doesn’t seem to know what to talk about now that we have effectively banned talk of double black couple. We retreat to the fringes of the event space.
“Yuki, this party is rather boring, don't you think?” I let the suggestion seep through my words.
“Yes, it is, isn’t it. I could use some fresh air.”
“That’s a good idea. I’ll call the car.”
Mori Yukichi's Perspective
The ride back to our house is quiet. Rintarou and I sit next to each other in the back of his limousine. My hand is over his shoulders and his is around my waist. We kiss gently. (Elsie, who opted to sit upfront with he driver, makes gagging noises)
When we reach our house. Yes, our house. We haven’t been home in such a long time. Rintarou usually stays at his penthouse at the Port Mafia and I stay in a nice Mafia safe house he fixed up. Our house, the one we bought together, is far out of the city, surrounded by a lawn and back garden and with a white picket fence that does nothing to keep anyone out, a blue post box and maple and oak trees, and a small creek with a bridge so you can get to the front door.
A place that is safe, a place where we can learn who we are outside of our violent city lives.
The driver drops us off and pulls away to park in the garage around the back of the house. I lead my husband through the homey feeling place and up the wooden stairs that creak just enough to be charming not worrying.
Our bedroom is down the hall from Elise’s (door now shut with some pop song on full volume) , a pale shade of blue, our bed a wooden four poster with gauzy white curtains. I toss my blazer aside and Rintarou starts to undo the buttons on my shirt.
<The End>
(A/N: Author-san still needs Jesus and so does the entire fandom! Also I hope you've enjoyed the closest thing to spicy content you're ever going to get from me, lmao!)

how do you think they would celebrate christmas?🎅❤️
How do boys celebrate christmas? :
🎅 Hi! ^^ How are you? I hope you are well! 🎅
It took me longer to write it than I had anticipated. I'm not very sociable and the the end-of-year celebrations drains all my energy. Anyway, I finished the headcanons you asked for. I hope you like it.
Take care of yourself and Happy New Year to everyone. ^^
Vladimir :
He remembers well the first Christmases he experienced. There was a huge pile of presents under the tree for him and his brothers and sisters. His parents didn't skimp on spending and he was overwhelmed with gifts, each one more beautiful than the next. However, he didn't have a real family meal like in other families, his mother after all didn't have any close relatives and his father had fallen out with his family and hardly spoke to them anymore. But he ate chocolate with his brothers and sisters on the sly (his parents knew about it but pretended not to notice).
Even as a teenager, when he began to hate himself and compare himself to others, he continued to enjoy that time. And it was when he left his family that he started to hate them. For him, there is nothing worse than spending a family party alone and without family. He avoided all holiday parties for a long time until Aaron came to live at the manor with him. He gave her a Christmas present, not in the hope of getting one in return, just in the hope of trying to recreate some semblance of family life.
He is always a little hesitant to decorate the manor for Christmas, on the one hand it makes him happy to see the pretty decorations, on the other hand the time that has passed since he was a child jumps in his face every time he hangs them. In general, everyone helps a little with the decorations. He is mainly involved in the interior decoration with Ivan and Raphaël. He puts mistletoe everywhere, garlands around the banister. He puts pretty Christmas roses on the kitchen table and the library and he likes to decorate the Christmas tree, he chooses the colours every year, he likes red, gold and white.
As far as gifts are concerned. For Raphaël he has no problem, he always has in mind several ideas of presents that could please him. For the others... it is a little more complicated. He knows what they like, but he doesn't know what to give them precisely, for Ethan he has got into the habit of getting together with Beliath who knows the youngest well enough to always give him something that pleases him. For Beliath, he knows that a new bottle of perfume or a level of jewellery will always please him. For Aaron and Ivan on the other hand, it's a real headache. When he asks Aaron, he says he doesn't know and doesn't want it, but he can't see himself not buying anything for him and for Ivan. They've already bought him a DS, everyone will offer him a game for his DS or comics, but he has no idea what games are in vogue and he is unable to tell the difference between Marvel and DC despite repeated explanations from Ethan and Ivan.
For Christmas Eve, he even organises a festive meal, even though he hardly cooks at all, as he is a rather bad cook. He organises a table plan, puts decorations on the table and has even bought a brand new dinner service especially for Christmas. At the table, he especially wants to sit next to Raphael and Aaron.
He often isolates himself for a while to cry during the evening, even though he is happy now to be able to celebrate a holiday he loves surrounded by a new family, he is unable to forget the happiness he felt at the beginning of his life when his parents were still around.
Béliath :
He never celebrated Christmas. It's not something that succubi celebrate and as a child he didn't get out of the succubus dimension enough to know what it was. There was, however, a party he had every seven years for young succubi and incubi. If his mother never gave him anything for this day, his sister gave him beautiful clothes.
When he first went out into the human world, Christmas was still a very religious holiday, so he was not interested in it. He became interested in Christmas when he arrived at the manor. Aaron and Vladimir had been living there for some time. The aristocrat decorated the manor every year for the holiday and when he saw him climbing on the roof to hang garlands, he decided it was safer to do it himself with Aaron. He was a little surprised the first time Vladimir gave him a Christmas present, He hadn't even been living with them for a year, but seeing that Vladimir seemed to be keen on this party, but seeing that Vladimir seemed to care about this party he gave him a present the following year.
He mainly decorates the outside with Aaron and Ethan. Most of the time, he climbs up on the roof to put up string lights with Aaron, sometimes Ethan climbs up on the roof for him while he decorates the outside walls of the manor. He is very careful not to damage Vladimir's bushes when putting up the decorations and he is always eager to see the results of his work.
As far as gifts are concerned, he starts looking in September and makes a list of ideas throughout the year to see what his friends might like. He knows that the best thing to give Raphaël are Braille books, especially if they are plays or poetry books. For Ethan, he has no difficulty in finding the right books, and it's thanks to him that the doctor has such a large collection of DC comics. For the three others, it's a bit more complicated, he knows most of Ivan's DS games by name and he often asks the people he meets at the Moondance the most fashionable games of the moment to try to get it right. For Vladimir, he hesitates and often asks Raphael for advice, who makes him a list of books Vladimir would like to read. And for Aaron, the last time he bought him trainers he didn't want to wear them for fear of damaging them.
He cooks a lot for Christmas, it's something that he can do quite easily and that he enjoys doing as well. He tries to please everyone by making several dishes. He knows very well the culinary preferences of each one and he knows, for example, that he should always plan to make a raclette for Ivan and a chocolate Yule log for Raphaël. For the meal, he does not have a preference, everyone can sit next to him.
He makes sure that everyone has a little fun and this often involves stopping Raphael from talking about Margarita all evening (by serving him yet another piece of cake) and stopping Vladimir from isolating himself too often. He organises board games with Ethan such as Uno, a musical blind test or Karaoke. It's usually quite fun, although it's always a bit of a struggle to get Vladimir and Raphael to agree to play Karaoke.
Ivan :
As a child, Christmas meant a long family meal for him. He didn't get the presents until the next morning. He didn't really like these long family meals. Nothing interesting happened, the adults talked about everything and nothing, and he never managed to surprise Santa Claus! On Christmas morning, however, He would get up at dawn and rush to his parents' room to wake them up and come to see the presents that had been miraculously placed at the foot of the tree. As a teenager, he would go for walks around town with his cousins or tell funny stories about Father Christmas to the younger kids.
When he arrived at the manor, he just thought he would be bored to death at this time. He'd never thought that any olds vampires would celebrate Christmas, but he supposed that was mostly because it was a holiday that Vladimir seemed to care about. So he was a little surprised when Vladimir gave him a gift for Christmas the first year. He hadn't expected it and at the time he was thinking mainly about his parents who had to celebrate their first Christmas without him. The gift made him cry and it remains one of his favourites to this day.
He decorates the interior of the manor with Vladimir and Raphael, which is something he likes to do a lot, even though Vladimir is quite demanding about the decorations he puts up. Sometimes he tries to convince Vladimir or Raphael to turn the other into a Christmas tree. It works every year and it's quite fun. What he didn't expect was that one year, they both teamed up against him to decorate him with garland. Beliath even took the opportunity to take a picture.
In the beginning, when it came to gifts, he always had a hard time figuring out what to give. So he asked everyone for advice. But as time goes by, he starts to get used to it. He knows that Raphaël will appreciate having a huge packet of chocolate and luckily, he knows the best chocolate maker in town.
For Vladimir, he waits for Beliath to go to the antique shop to accompany him. For Ethan, he always takes DC comics or a CD of a metal band he likes. For Beliath and Aaron, it's always more complicated. Beliath already goes to a spa every month, so he can't offer her tickets, nor does he dare to offer her clothes because of her taste in clothes. So this is the only time of the year when he and Ethan really get together to find something that would please Beliath. And as for Aaron, Beliath already gives him a new pair of trainers, so he always ends up getting together with Vladimir to get him something.
He absolutely wants to eat raclette at Christmas, so Beliath always makes him happy by leaving him enough to make one for himself. As time goes by, he is slowly regaining the taste of the food he used to eat and is looking forward to the next year to see if his taste has finally returned to normal.
The first year of his transformation, he took advantage of a moment when he was alone to go to his parents' house. Now he thinks it was a bad idea, because his heart has never been so sore. Even if his family was smiling, he wouldn't have needed to know them to know that it was just a facade smile and if Aaron hadn't joined him in time, he would have definitely gone back into the house to be with them.
Aaron :
Christmas was not celebrated in the same way when he was a child. He saw the change gradually take place and the festival became more and more a family event, especially in the 19th century with the development of toy shops. After this period, when he found a pack to stay with for a while, there were sometimes gifts given to the children for Christmas.  However, he never appreciated the habit that adults had of making their children believe that an old man would come and give them a present if he was good. Part of him finds it just creepy and he understands that some children are scared, he would certainly have been scared too if his mother had told him that an old man was going to break into their house at night, and another part of him just doesn't like lying.
It was when he arrived at the manor that he started to celebrate Christmas. He was quite surprised when Vladimir gave him a present. But on reflection he understood. He remembered quite well the distress and sadness of the young vampire he had found a few decades earlier. Vladimir only talked about his family at that time. Afterwards, he tried to give her a present every year. If that was all it took to make Vladimir happy in winter, he would not hesitate.
He decorates the outside of the manor with Beliath and Ethan. Before the younger man arrived, he always went up on the roof with Beliath. He works a little faster with Ethan, mainly because the doctor is focused enough on his task not to be distracted every five minutes by something else and also because he has a lot less nonsense to talk about, although he complains a lot more that he doesn't see the point of turning the mansion into a disco ball.
As for the gifts, he knows Vladimir very well since the time and he knows very well what to give him to please him, on the other hand, he knows that Vladimir wants to relive a family celebration so much that any gift is enough to please him. It's the same for Ivan, with whom he's spent a lot of time since his arrival, even if he doesn't really understand the difference between Ethan's DC and Ivan's Marvel, he at least knows how to recognise the two youngest's favourite characters. For Beliath, he doesn't bother looking for very long and he'll just buy him a new bracelet. And for Raphael, he always gets together with Vladimir or Beliath to give him books or he gives him chocolate and sweets, he never understood how Raphael could eat so much without ever getting sick.
He usually tries to sit between Vladimir and Ivan to please both of them or between Ivan and Ethan so that they don't argue during the meal. The meal is not his favourite part of the evening in all honesty, he is not a foodie, he always finds that Beliath makes too much food, especially sweet food, and he doesn't really enjoy sitting around listening to discussions, but he doesn't criticize and is in a good mood because it seems to please the others.
He gives in easily when Beliath offers to play games, although he almost always finds himself having to referee each game and keep the others in check to avoid arguments and accusations of cheating that are more or less true.
Raphaël :
Christmas wasn't at all celebrated in the same way when he was a child. But he thinks he might have liked it, after all, he doesn't think he would have turned down a present, but he doesn't really know what he might have wanted, maybe some wooden horses, so he could paint them or candied fruit, dragée or nougat, he was already very greedy as a child. And he thinks he would have loved Santa Claus as a child, well, he would probably have been a bit scared, but he would have loved it.
He only started celebrating Christmas when he arrived at the manor. It was mainly to please Vladimir, he knew him well before arriving at the manor and he was not really surprised to see the attachment he had for this celebration. He was a little more surprised that he gave her a present. He also gave her one in the following weeks, which seemed to please the aristocrat very much.
Ivan always manages to convince him easily to decorate Vladimir with garland. He thinks it's a very fun thing to do, although Vladimir doesn't always agree. He also finds it quite amusing when the other two try to turn him into a Christmas tree. In the end, it always takes them much longer to decorate the inside of the mansion than they had planned.
When it comes to gifts, he often hesitates. He wants to do too much and be sure to please his friends, so he does not buy anything until the last minute. The easiest thing for him to do is to find a present for Vladimir, they talk about books together so often that he knows his tastes by heart. For the others it's more difficult, he knows that Beliath likes jewellery and perfume, but he never knows what to get him so he asks Vladimir and Ethan. For Ivan, he doesn't understand anything about what he likes, whether it's the music he listens to, the video games he plays or the books he reads and it's the same for Ethan. And for Aaron, he's given up on getting him anything specific, since the wolf doesn't want anything, so he gives him T-shirts to replenish his wardrobe.
He often comes to help Beliath in the kitchen and it is mainly because of him that there is always too much dessert to eat, every year there is a new recipe that he wants to try without being able to bring himself not to make a recipe from previous years, Beliath has tried to tell him that there is too much dessert for the six of them, but nothing works, Raphaël insists too much. He eats almost nothing of the main course, not because he doesn't like Beliath's cooking of course, but because he wants to save room for dessert. If it wasn't rude, he would only eat the desserts. In the end, he eats most of the dessert and most of the time Aaron even lets him have his share.
He likes to play the music blind test with the others, mainly because Beliath has been kind enough to put classical music in his blind test and he can find all the music that is playing. He doesn't like karaoke as much because the music is much more recent. And the fact that Beliath always seems to want to prevent him from talking about Margarita.
Ethan :
As a child, he didn't celebrate Christmas, but he loved the light decorations that you could see in the city or on houses. It was something he thought was really pretty, so much so that his parents would sometimes go out with him in the evening to look at them.
He doesn't really celebrate Christmas at the manor either. If he has an opportunity to be somewhere else on that day, he takes it, otherwise he stays with the boys. He enjoys the atmosphere when he stays with them, mainly because everyone is in a good enough mood that no arguments break out. And above all, he understands the importance of this party for Vladimir enough not to be unpleasant and argue with Ivan (even if it is not always easy to refrain from annoying Ivan.)
However, he helps with the decorations every year. He mostly helps out of fear that someone might get hurt hanging the decorations up high and have to be treated. He also likes the view of the forest from the roof and it is a good excuse to stay up there and look at the stars after hanging the decorations. Normally, Vladimir and Raphael do not like people on the roof.
He's gotten into the gift-giving game because he gets so many gifts every year. Most of the time, he tries to get together with someone else to give something more expensive or rare. In any case, he gives Ivan the best gifts, admittedly he doesn't like Marvel, but he knows the characters well enough and above all he never makes a mistake about which ones Ivan prefers. He always goes with Vladimir or Beliath for Raphael's gift. For Aaron, he goes to the antique shop to look for an old weapon, the others don't really like him to make this kind of gift, but the goal is to please Aaron, not the others. For Vladimir, he usually goes with Aaron or Raphael and for Beliath, he doesn't make things difficult for himself and simply goes shopping with him to buy the clothes he wants.
He often finds himself doing last-minute shopping for Beliath and sometimes keeps him company while he cooks, but he does not prepare any dishes. He doesn't always eat with them on Christmas Eve. He usually goes to a nightclub to have fun. But if he ever eats at the manor, he definitely wants to sit next to Beliath, he's the one he gets on with best after all. He knows he won't have the patience to listen to Raphael talk about Margarita and even if he doesn't want to argue with Ivan that evening to please the others, You shouldn't ask too much of him either by sitting next to the youngest.
He chooses most of the music to sing at the karaoke. He tries to please everyone, but he prefers to die than to put on Opera as Raphaël would like, they are supposed to have fun not to want to pierce their eardrums! He often adds Disney music, he says it's to please Ivan but in reality he loves singing A whole new world at the top of his lungs.

A Lucky Luke Modern!AU fanfiction
Chapter I - Thief in the night
-I don't think I quite understand...- Joe Dalton ran a hand over his face, trying to keep calm at the sight of his three younger brothers hanging upside down by a rope from the spot where a precious Egyptian artefact, a necklace of gold and emeralds, had previously been kept. -We caught him red-handed, Joe!- exclaimed William, closely followed by his twin brother, Jack: -We had him, but then he pulled out a smoke bomb and...- -We were salamis a moment later!- complained the younger, Averell. Joe growled to the other officers who had arrived on the scene: -Get these wimps down and find me the director of the Louvre; I want all the details on that necklace! If it ends up on the black market, we can at least try to get it back!- -Yes sir!- three men answered him in chorus. The Dalton brothers were released, and fell abruptly to the ground; the elder blurted out: -Get up, you lot! We must devise a new strategy!- -Still? We're tired, Joe!- protested Averell, catching a dirty look from his brother:
-I'm not giving up, you know that!- he continued, muttering to himself: -I'll find you, Lucky Luke, I'll find you if I have to blow up Paris!-
For a year now, articles had been appearing in the newspapers about the sensational thefts of antique jewellery and gems, which occurred at regular intervals in Paris and other French cities, by a mysterious thief. At first, the media had nicknamed him “Lupin” in honour of the character created by Leblanc, but brazenly the thief himself had sent a letter to the police signed Lucky Luke. A name that seemed absurd, but Lucky proved to be so: when he found himself in a corner, by chance or by his own hand something happened to turn the situation around, as when a silo of water on a roof fell down, overwhelming the officers in pursuit of the thief. Charged with his capture, Detective Joe Dalton and his three brothers, all policemen, had repeatedly put him on the spot, but the man seemed elusive. They had too little information, and these they had gathered themselves in the field: the subject had probably received special military training, as he shot, just to disarm, faster than his shadow, something they had never seen. He had never said a word, and always wore a balaclava to cover his face, so his identity remained a mystery which made the brothers job even more difficult. Joe, frustrated, had tried everything, organising carefully calculated stakeouts and participating in them himself, but the outcome was always the same: Lucky Luke vanished into the night with the loot, having led his pursuers into some trap. One thing, however, became clear to Detective Dalton from the outset: his thief mainly struck museums that stored antique jewellery or rare gems without, however, reselling them in the known channels of the black market. The question then was: if not for money, because the loot was valued at several million, why was Lucky Luke committing his crimes?
Dalton, in the tactical room at the police station, slammed a hand down on the map behind him (after standing up on a chair, due to his small stature) indicating the robbed locations, and turning to his brothers and the officers, he altered:
-Listen up, you bunch of wimps! I am tired of this slimy snake slipping through our hands, and of the ridicule it is casting on our police force!- William raised his hand: -But Joe, snakes are not slimy...- -Spare me your nerdy comments!- It almost looked as if his older brother was about to have smoke coming out of his ears, so the other shushed. -We need bad manners, gentlemen; at the cost of overtime we must catch him! Jack! - -Yes?- -Get the best men you can find. I have a plan, but I need more officers to carry it out, officers who are ready for anything! William!- -I'm coming!- -Do a search, and find out which of the museums not yet hit has the kind of "merchandise" that might appeal to Lucky Luke. We'll reconvene at seven o'clock tomorrow morning. Snap!- Everyone stood up except Averell: -What about me, Joe? What do I do?- -You... Uh... You set up a canine unit, we might need it.- Pleased with the task entrusted to him, the younger man left the room with his head held high: -See you at home!- Ah, yes. The four of them lived together; Joe hadn't considered it when he had broken ranks. He went to sit at the nearest desk and rested his head on the piano. He felt nervous exhaustion at the door. He pulled himself up, retrieving a folder of documents and newspaper articles about Lucky Luke from a small table to his left. He stared insistently at a photograph, depicting a dark figure caught as he leapt nimbly from one rooftop to another, silhouetted against the moon. Very poetic, had it not been a criminal.
At first it was just another assignment for Dalton and family, but as time went by it became an obsession for Joe. He couldn't fit Lucky Luke into any outlaw category: he shot without killing, stole one item at a time and even sent one back because he discovered it was a fake! And right back to his office as its destination! "Who are you, damn you?" He picked up the photograph and frowned, smoothing a moustache: he didn't hate Lucky, not strictly speaking at least, because he was too curious. Yes, curious about what he looked like, what motive drove him to steal... If he had put a bullet in him, he would never have known.
A thud outside followed by a chorus of laughter distracted Joe from his thoughts. He went to look, finding a man in a beige suit frantically searching for something on the ground, surrounded by printed papers. -Hey, Pierre, what did you trip over this time?- an office agent teased him. Joe guessed that his colleague was looking for his glasses; he spotted them next to a plant: -Hold on, I'll hand them to you.-
At that sentence everyone stopped laughing. The detective looked at those thick lenses for a moment. How short-sighted was their owner?
-Here you go, Pierre.- -Thank you, boss.- Pierre Gerard was a shy, reserved and awkward man. He always dressed in a suit and tie, wore his brown hair combed back and was tall and thin, with a slightly curved back. It was hard to give him an age, perhaps in his thirties or so; his voice, low and nasal, could only be heard when he had to communicate information from one agent to another as he was not used to talking to others in social terms. He had such thick freckles on his face that he looked like a spray of coffee, and without his mole glasses he couldn't see anything; they often went forward because of his somewhat large nose. Everyone teased him for his clumsiness, which led him to stumble over nothing. He had been working in the archive for a year and a half now, and because of his characteristics, you could say that Joe had grown quite fond of him; he saw him as a sort of bungling puppy. A kind of Averell II. So Dalton helped Pierre pick up the papers that had ended up on the floor, under the gaze of the other officers who were afraid to open their mouths. The detective was half a notch in height, but he hit hard. -Back to work or I'll cut your pay in half!- Joe threatened them. The archivist handed him the documents: -These are the data on the stolen necklace that the director of the Louvre sent us.- -Ah, thank you.- -... Sir, if I may...- -Yes?- Gerard swallowed nervously and blushed conspicuously: -I... I... I know you'll catch that Lucky Luke!- And then he ran away, back to the archive room. One of the agents stifled a laugh, but Dalton heard him anyway: -What's funny, Bonnet?- -Oh, no, boss...- Too late the agent had realised his mistake. His colleagues huddled around him. -Come on- smiled Joe quietly, crossing his arms behind his back. -Just this nice theory... between us... about Pierre having a crush on you, sir... I mean, there would be nothing wrong considering you are...- Keeping his expression, the detective approached Bonnet, motioned him to lower himself to his height and, without warning, gave him a resounding slap. -Now get to work, or I'll send you to direct traffic!-

It was romantic and Chai felt like he could trust Korn, telling him about his life and how happy he was to have found someone to love - unfortunately for Chai, Korn did not possess the ability to love; only to hurt. A relationship of manipulation, gaslighting, and abuse lasted for a year and a half, until Chai broke it off with the help from his friends. Chai is still healing from that time in his life.
>> PLATONIC:
Rachi (friend, M)
Fern (co-worker turned friend, F)
Jack (co-worker turned friend, M)
>> BACKSTORY:
When a marriage is on the rocks, the solution is to communicate. Perhaps some marriage counselling, talking to professionals, trying to mend in a way that's healthy. If it doesn't work out then, that's fine too - people break apart. Not everyone gets their happy ending, even if they think they will. If working hard to save a marriage doesn't work, then maybe it's best to leave on amicable terms.
The solution is not, however, to have a baby.
Chai was brought into this world under these circumstances. His parents, Pawin and Yindee, met and married young, despite advice from their own families to wait until they were older. They rushed their relationship, severing ties with most of their loved ones for the sake of their own love, living in their own fairytale world where only they existed. That was until reality rudely came knocking on their door; expenses were piling up, and neither of them were able to sustain a well-paying job in the long term. Saving was hard, but spending was easy. Not only that but they had married young, having barely known each other before tying the knot, drunk on love and blind to the problems it might cause in the future. Like, how was Yindee supposed to know that Pawin would rather spend his money on drugs instead of food for their growling stomachs? How was Pawin supposed to be okay with Yindee flirting with her boyfriends when she was upset with him? Their relationship was toxic with shouting matches and tears almost every night. Whatever family they had that had not cut them out advised them to seek help or get divorced; but they didn't listen.
And Chai suffered.
The home he grew up in was not one of love. His parents' marriage wasn't saved by his birth - they would rather call it ruined. After about a year, the problems that they had put on hold returned full force. There was even less money now with an extra mouth to feed and extra body to clothe. Eventually, it did become too much and Chai's parents did divorce. He was 11 at the time.
They blamed him, for it. They blamed him for everything. Dad's drug problem? That was because Chai was too whiny and dad had to resort to other ways to relax. Mum flirting with another man? That's because she felt unsexy with her husband, because giving birth to Chai changed her body. No money? Ugh, Chai's school expenses, of course, they'd never have to pay for that if he wasn't born!
Neither one of his parents wanted to look after him - in fact, his father couldn't. Pawin died from a drug overdose, shortly after separating from his wife, and Yindee decided to start fresh in another country, finding another man to leech off of and convincing him to move with her to America. Pawin was thus raised by various relatives - though, they didn't really want him either. He was too much of a reminder of his deadbeat parents.
When Chai turned 18, he decided it was best to live alone, not wanting to continue being a burden on those who were forced to take him in. Because he couldn't afford university, he spent all his time working and earning money to support himself.
Extras >> FEARS: TBA >> PHOBIAS: N/A >> HANDICAPS: N/A >> MENTAL DISORDERS: Anxiety (possibly undiagnosed) // He hides it well, but sometimes, when life gets too overwhelming, he finds himself unable to cope. >> PHYSICAL DISEASES: N/A >> PREDISPOSITIONS: N/A
