Love...

Love... It's a big word... I couldn't quite fathom it when I first heard about it. I shunned away from it, thinking it was just about the infatuations... I shunned away from it, thinking it was no more than those giddy love songs.

I thought they exaggerated—the poems, the songs, the paintings. No, how can I drown in someone's eyes? That's too ridiculous. How can I see my everything in someone's singular being? That's too extra. How can I fall deeper for the same being every single day? That's just too absurd, isn't it?

That's what I thought. Love was a ridiculous exaggeration until it hit me- I was already in love. I was just too haughty to admit it. The love I deemed 'absurd' and 'unrealistic' came to me in a form I never imagined.

I found the eyes that drowned me in their blissful waves. I found the lips whose smile lit up my soul. I found the being into whom my whole world fused. I found love. Ridiculous love, absurd love, love that is just love...

Love is still a big word, but I can somewhat fathom it now. I fall for my love harder every single day... It's ridiculous how my love makes me giggle, but maybe love is meant to be ridiculous. It's absurd how my love has become my identity, but perhaps love is meant to be absurd. My love, He heals my soul just like in those songs, those poems, those paintings...

It's silly, laughable even, but you won't know until love finds you as well...��🦚🪷
