“I hate London.” 

George rolled his eyes and let out an overexaggerated sigh, closing the fridge and carrying the two water bottles back over to the couch that a very grumpy Sapnap currently occupied. He held his arm out towards the smaller boy, handing him the water and sitting down next to him. 

“You don’t mean that! You’re just mad because you have a double ear infection,” The brunette opened the lid of his water bottle, waving the cap in the air at Sapnap as he spoke. “That’s definitely not London’s fault.” 

Sapnap let out a whine from beside him, wincing when he took a sip of the water. He quickly twisted the lid back onto the bottle before dropping it onto the cushion next to him. George was watching the younger boy, expecting to hear a rebuttal but receiving nothing instead. He could tell that Sapnap actually wasn’t feeling good and was trying to brainstorm ways to make him feel better; or at the very least, something that could provide him a much needed distraction. A small blush filled George’s cheeks as a passing thought caught his attention, knowing that if he offered this to Sapnap he would definitely take him up on his offer.

“Hey Sapnap?” George spoke softer than normal, immediately gaining Sapnap’s attention at the new tone in his voice. He looked down into his lap, fidgeting with his fingers.

“Hm?” 

“You could…uhm,” He brought his hands up to his face, pressing his palms against his cheeks for a moment before running his right hand nervously through his hand. “You could tickle me..if that would make you feel better.” 

George could feel Sapnap staring at him, but he refused to look up from his pants. He couldn’t. He had just offered himself up to be tickled! How could anyone look someone in the eye after that? He dropped his hands back down into his lap, about to lace his fingers together when he was pushed over, landing on his right side on the couch. 

“Wh-What the hell?!” He looked up at the younger boy with wide eyes, not expecting to be manhandled and maneuvered like he weighed nothing. Sapnap smirked down at him, climbing up to take his place on George’s waist while he adjusted the elder to lay on his back. George let out a whine, covering his face with his hands again while it grew impossibly warmer. 

“What do you mean ‘what the hell’? You offered!” 

George moved his hands from his face and opened his mouth to reply when he stopped himself, closing his mouth and biting on his bottom lip when he realized he had nothing to argue. He watched as Sapnap formed his hands into claw shapes, making him break out into nervous giggles and bring his arms down to cross them over his stomach. 

“Y-Yes but I-” 

“What? Didn’t expect me to agree?” Sapnap snickered from above him, beginning to wiggle his fingers as they began their descent towards the older boy’s torso. “I wasn’t even touching you yet, George. How are you gonna survive this?” 

“I-”

“Don’t answer that - you won’t.” 

Sapnap dropped his hands against George’s ribs, kneading quickly and causing the older boy to break out into a bright cackle, squirming and trying to grab at Sapnap’s hands to stop him. One of the tickling hands had suddenly disappeared, Sapnap bringing it to his left ear and cupping his palm over it.

“Fuck, George, be quieter! I have two ear infections, you can’t be screaming like that!” Sapnap was speaking as if he was angry but wore a huge grin stretching from ear to ear, clearly enjoying his suffering. 

“I cahahan’t help it! You’re tihihickling me!” George whined through his laughter, giving up on trying to block the sensitive spot and instead opting to cover his face instead. 

“Oh is that what I’m doing? I had no idea!” The younger boy was heavy on the sarcasm, acting as if he just learned brand new information on the boy below him. “No shit, George. But I’m sick! And you need to be quiet if you don’t wanna hurt me.” 

George moved his hands to glare at Sapnap through his giggles, knowing he was playing dirty so that George would give in to what he was telling him to do. And as much as George didn’t want to, Sapnap was right - he didn’t want to hurt his best friend. So despite Sapnap adding his second hand back down against his ribs, he did his best to cover his mouth with both hands, hoping to keep any squeals or shrieks in. 

He squirmed when Sapnap sat back slightly, reaching his left hand behind him to squeeze the top of George’s thigh twice. This sent a ticklish wave through his body, causing him to buck up with a squeal. Judging by Sapnap’s smile, he could tell that his hands were indeed doing their job of keeping the louder laughs from escaping. 

“See! Look at you, you can do it, kitten!” 

“D-Dohohon’t push it!” 

“Wouldn’t dream of it…kitten.” 

George considered lifting his hands slightly to let his squeaks and cackles reach the younger boy’s ears, knowing it would cause him to stop, but changed his mind; Sapnap looked so happy, and George didn’t have the heart to take this moment away from him. 

Even as sapnap found the sensitive spot on the back of his ribs, ripping a scream from the back of his throat that was so loud he was sure it would have deafened even those with fully working, healthy eardrums.

Seeing Logan in the TVA makes me laugh so hard for some reason? Like I know he’s lived to see technology evolve and stuff, but there’s something so funny about a guy from the 1800s standing in some kind of retro-futuristic timey wimey agency to me. Man is confused as hell.

academic bias is so funny because you’ll be reading about the same historical event and one person is like “Despite the troubles that befell his homeland and near constant criticism of the court King Blorbo remained strong in the face of adversity” and the other one is like “after letting his people carry the brunt of his cringefail decisions Blorbo the Shitface refused to listen to any reason and continued to be a warmongering piece of shit. Also he was ugly.”

Things I've seen tumblr memeing about James Somerton doing à la "How did no one see how bigoted he was!" as if those things haven't been a significant part of tumblr culture for over a decade :

Presenting untrue and bordering on conspiratorial versions of (queer or otherwise marginalised) history without any sources

Completely disregarding and disrespecting any expertise on socio-cultural topics/humanities and distrusting academics and historians (incl. acting as if no academics or historians could be queer or marginalised)

Downplaying the role misogyny played in the historical oppression of queer women and concluding that queer men must have been more oppressed than queer women

Bi women are, at best, not as queer as "real" queer ppl, and at worst, simply equivalent to straight women

Despite nominal trans inclusivity, transmasculine ppl are functionally women when convenient (combined with the above, bi transmascs are functionally straight women)

Despite nominal trans inclusivity (bis), shamelessly attacking, threatening and actively endangering any trans woman who questions them or smth they find important (often by unfairly presenting her as violent or as a threat)

Having absolutely fucking wild and reductive takes about ace ppl, the oppression they face and their place in the queer community

Stating that marriage equality is an assimilationist fight while completely ignoring its direct roots in the horrifying consequences of the AIDS crisis for partners of ppl who died of AIDS

Praising western media creators from the past for queer coding even under censure and in the same breath condemning current non western media creators for being homophobic bc their representation isn't explicit enough

Blaming China for all existing homophobic censoring in western media

Assuming all queer media would be better told by western creators and by western standards

Only out queer ppl get to tell queer stories

Heavily criticising almost all queer media created by women or ppl they see as such (see above points about trans ppl) or involving/starring a significant amount of women for any perceived or real amount of "problematicness", but fawning over and praising and negating criticism of queer media created by and starring mostly or even functionally exclusively men (even when it could be argued that, you know, not involving/seriously sidelining women is a pretty clear example of misogyny which should probably be considered "problematic")

And I'm probably forgetting stuff or there's stuff I have internalised myself and don't recognise as an issue

Like idk but I feel like the takeaway from Hbomberguy and Toddintheshadow's videos should maybe be "be aware of such patterns in your communities bc they definitely exist" and not "this guy is uniquely awful" and I feel like a lot of the discussion I've seen surrounding this has been severely failing at that. Most ppl who've spent any significant amount of time on tumblr prob either have internalised at least one of those thought patterns, have had to de-internalise them, or have had to be extremely vigilant to not internalise them (which is done by, you know, seeking out other sources, which also seemed like an important takeaway from the videos)

Some things about Allan:

He’s the only one who reacts to the narrator

He’s the only doll (besides the Weird House) who isn’t swayed in some way by Ken’s takeover

He also declares himself as “Ken's buddy" (making canon his official box description) which makes his inability to be swayed more interesting

He has bendable legs (probably the only reason he tries to jump the fence instead of going around like everyone else)

He easily decked a half-dozen construction Kens and could probably singlehandedly win the Ken fight

He seems to know more about the real world than most Barbies

He knows what NSYNC is 

He knows about other Allan copies living in the real world (I’m trying to figure out if he made this up to convince the humans he can live in the real world, but even if he did, how does he know what NSYNC is???)

There are no other Allan models

The cult of...Danny Fenton?

So! Way back when Danny first moved into his new neighborhood in Gotham, he had some trouble controlling his Powers. The different Types and Levels of Ectoplasm in the air when compared to Amity had thrown off his control.

He was used to being in places where his Ectoplasm meshed well with the Atmosphere, like a Water Balloon in a Pool, but in Gotham that analogy would be closer to a Water Balloon in the sewers. It was too different from what he was used to to fully control his Powers.

So it's understandable that he messed up a few times and his neighbors found out about his Abilities.

They took it well at first, Danny wasn't going to go Rogues or anything, and he never used them maliciously, but eventually they got curious.

They asked what his limits were, how he got them in the first place, and what the hell the Ghost Zone was. The answers "None Really", "I died and was reborn", and "A Collective of every Afterlife at once" did spark some interesting reactions from them.

Most importantly, a few of them joked about him being an Eldritch God that they needed to worship. He was good enough friends with them that at that point they felt comfortable pranking eachother, so they did just that.

Danny woke up one day on his birthday, and saw all of his friends and neighbors surrounding the makeshift Throne they had made and put him on while he was asleep. The entire day they chanted stuff like "The Great One requires Ms. Smiths Apple Pie for his day of birth!" And "The Great One Wishes for us to sing the Ritual Song! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birth-"

After his birthday, they kept up the joke.

It didn't help that his powers had evolved Again! And now he could bestow abilities onto his friends. The jokes they made about their God granting them Supernatural Powers to rule the world with were insufferable.

Then, one day while he was just resting at home, watching a movie on his TV, he felt a Pull at his Core. The same kind of Pull whenever he was being summoned. But why would they summon hi- Oh Shit! It's Mr Jenkins Party today! He was supposed to meet them at the Warehouse they used for special events an Hour Ago!

He quickly accepted the Summoning, but was met with a suprising sight. His Neighbors all tied up in a pile to his right, a spilled table of party food to his left, and right in front of him, Batman and his Family watching him with wary eyes.

Slowly, he opened his mouth. "...so, did you come for the party or..."

listen there really was just something about how in the book, snow’s 3-page descent from hesitant lover boy to deluded mfer happens entirely in his mind. lucy gray gives him no indication whatsoever that she suspects him, that she’s going to leave or betray him. he’s just sitting quietly in the cabin waiting for her to return when that seed of calculated suspicion, which he has needed to survive the capitol, takes a hold of him and chokes the life out of any goodness left inside him. it really drives home your terror as a reader that “oh my god did he kill her? did she escape? what happened to her? why would he even think that?” in a way that when the movie had to adjust for visualization it lost some of that holy shit this guy has lost it emphasis.
