Hal Jordan

Hal is first to prove a POINT, as @britcision decided. Also because the bastard made it waaaay too easy. Remember- Hal was Joking. He genuinely thinks Batman isn’t going to try, because he’s way too straight-laced boring.

So when he’s at a bar in Coast City, and he sees this absolutely ravishing man lounging casually against the wall, bar lighting making him practically glow (he CALCULATED that) subtle makeup making his bright blue eyes pop as he looks Hal up and down… Well. Hal makes the first move.

Hal: “All on your own, handsome?”

Bruce, with “Mastermind” by Taylor Swift playing in his head, smiling sweetly at Hal: “Care to change that?”

They start talking. Hal doesn’t recognize Bruce Wayne at ALL (canonically he does not know who Bruce Wayne is, a point brought up by @help-i-need-a-cool-username) so all he knows is Bruce is a single father who works at a company he inherited from his parents, which is just (brucie voice) “so much less interesting than a test pilot!”

Bruce, grimacing internally but wrapped around Hal’s arm with the awed and interested eyes in full effect: “you have such a nice voice, tell me more about planes…”

He KNOWS what a fuselage is, thank you, Jordan. Whatever. He gets to gush about his kids, when its his turn to talk, good enough tradeoff. He can survive Hal Jordan’s bad pick up lines and pretend he’s into them. At a certain point Bruce breaks and kisses him just to shut him up. One down.

Diana Prince

I looked it up- kissing in Ancient Greece wasn’t always considered romantic, but also a greeting between two similarly-ranked people. Therefore, I think Diana would be pretty chill with kissing and honestly an easy target at a gala if Bruce plays respectful/clumsy/earnest himbo starstruck with the tall pretty woman, just a peck would make him the happiest man alive. But I wanna go a little more in depth.

Now, I’ve seen Flash and Martian Manhunter save Bruce and/or his kids and Bruce lays one on them, but honestly I think it would work well with Diana too, because she loves kids. Dick and/or Jason (whichever you want to imagine, I want them to team up screw canon) are WAY to excited for this, they’ve got a little script and everything.

WonderWoman, a kid in each arm, delivering them back to their tearful guardian: “Here we are, Mr. Wayne. Whole and healthy.”

Dick, playing into his role eagerly: “Oh my gosh, Bruce! Bruce we got saved by a princess! It’s like a fairytale! Except, you know, the princess is the hero this time, which is so freaking cool!”

Bruce, tears of gratitude rolling down his face (and he knows how to still look perfect while crying, its a skill): “I’m just glad the two of you are safe, Chum.”

Jason, big baby blues in full effect, absolutely asked Wonder Woman to be his mom earlier (to set groundwork, no other reason): “You know, usually the princess and the hero gets a kiss at the end of a fairytale, Bruce. But this princess is both. So how will she get a reward?”

Still choked up with relieved tears and now laughter, Bruce looks up at Diana and smiles: “Well, if the Princess wants a reward… then I would be a fool to refuse.”

Bruce kisses her on the lips, Dick and Jason both kiss her cheeks, Diana leaves charmed and amused by the sweet family. Such a good father, humoring his children and thier little fascination with her, so very respectful…

Two down.

J’ohn Jones

Okay, martians are telepathic. So this goes one of two ways, at some sort of charity or something-

Option 1, Batman is a realist: the charity event is a masquerade, and he wanders over to where MM is while thinking “it would be so funny, give me this.” As loudly as he can. And Martian Manhunter, who appreciates the audacity, gives him a kiss. (I don’t like this one because it technically breaks the rules of the bet, bc MM knows it’s Batman, but eh)

Option 2, Batman is a different breed: he manages to up the ante with his Himbo Persona. Creating a “slippery void” mental facade that blocks of his real thoughts and makes him read as really just that stupid. This would require functioning with two trains of thought at once, and making sure that the Martian can only read the surface level, “oh, this one is pretty” “I really wouldn’t mind kissing him” and other such decoy thoughts, instead of “target is approaching, signs of interest present despite this not being his natural form-“

Bruce also researches and copies Martian courting styles and copies them “by chance,” catching MM’s attention. (He offers him Oreos)

Martian Manhunter: “this man… he is so empty headed and yet clearly kind and willing. I would not take him for a life partner, but for some simple fun as he seems to desire…”

(Edit: Maybe, if B is confident enough, he lets through his loneliness. Missing his parents, wanting affection, an ache so strong it’s like a physical wound. J’onn feels the same ache for his lost family, and decides to try this human’s strategy to fill that void. Either way…)

Batman 3, League 0

Barry Allen

I’m strangely blank when it comes to the Flash let me just spitball and let it snowball

As I said above, people have had him save Bruce, had Bruce seduce him at his workplace while taking a tour, I even saw @help-i-need-a-cool-username have Dick set up a petition for Bruce to kiss the Flash. (An idea that I personally think would also go really well with Superman lmao.)

Anyways, I think it would be funny for Bruce to take it slow with Barry. For the irony of it all. Because Batman is doing this to prove a POINT. So he’s in central city, spots Barry coming his way, and “accidentally” slips right into his arms. Ooh, or covered in coffee, like a wealth disparity drama base script, and Barry’s like “omg i am so sorry let me pay you back.” And bruce is all “this shirt costs (stupid amount of money)”

Barry: (fear)

Bruce, rolling with it rn: “yes, it is horrendous, isn’t it? Hows this- I’m in central city for a day. You can pay me back by showing me around?”

He then proceeds to string barry along on an honest to god DATE for shits and giggles. They go clothes shopping, they go to restaurants, Bruce pays for a big meal bc this is after a fight or something and Barry got hurt, his speedster comrade needs to EAT, damnit.

After all this, he gives a cheeky smile and lightly smooches Barry. “Thanks for the fun day, Mr. Allen.”

Barry, bright red and goo brained: “hah- mmhmm. Yeah…”

Batman 4, League 0

Oliver Queen

This one… Oliver is on guard. He’s twitchy and suspicious, turning down men flirting with him, people are starting to notice. But Bruce? Bruce just walks up at a party while “tipsy” and lays one on him. Straight up. He wants to show just how EASY it is. Because Oliver doesn't even register it. He just laughs and goes: “Hey Brucie! Miss me?”

Batman 5, League 0

Dinah Lance

Of course, immediately after above, he turns and pouts at canary.

Bruce: “Dinah darling, you are a saint, I don’t know how you put up with the mess he’s got on his face. He was so much nicer to kiss when we were in (fancy private school name drop) together and didn’t have all this nonsense.”

Dinah, laughing at Ollie’s offended noises: “Oh, I don’t mind it. He’s a good kisser.”

Bruce: “Of course he is, I taught him. Care to compare?”

Dinah: “Don’t mind if I do.”

Batman 6, league 0

Clark Kent

For Clark, Bruce is originally talking to Lois before he turns his eyes on a quiet Clark and croons: “So, Miss Lane, does this lovely specimen have his own questions, or is he arm candy? And if he’s the latter, can I either tempt him off you, or secure an invitation?”

Lois, an excellent friend who will absolutely set Clark up with the hottest bachelor in Gotham: “Well, Mister Wayne, I’ve got all I need. Clark, take a page from my book and honeytrap a good quote out of him, hm?”

With an obnoxious wink, she pats a spluttering Clark on the shoulder, and leaves him with a very smug Batman.

(Bonus Superbat- Clark and Bruce’s conversation is going REALLY WELL and to the point where both of them seem on board with more than a heavy makeout when Bruce puts a hand on Clarks chest.

Bruce: “Stop.”

Clark, freezing immediately: “I’m sorry, did I go too far-?”

Bruce: “No, no. I think I might be though. See, I have all of you now, and I’ve won the bet.”

Clark: “What are you- oh. Oh- HUH?”

Cue sudden and shocked revelation, Clark’s mind going a hundred miles an hour, and then skidding to a stop on- he only did this for the bet. He’s not really interested. He stopped because I went too far-

Bruce: “You only consented to a kiss without knowing my identity. Right now, I’d like to do more, if you’d let me.”

Clark has the dial-up tone ringing in his ears, he has no idea whats going on anymore, the hot billionaire and his reclusive teammate aren’t quite slotting into place, because he wants both but rhey’re so different but they’re the same but-

“Yes.”

Lois doesn’t get Clark back that night and she is delighted.)

Anyways, final results:

Reveal:

Batman talking shit about their secret identities again, Green Lantern is scoffing about it again, says something along the lines of: “You still think you’re sooooo great, huh? Hows the bet going, spooky?” Fully expecting Batman to get huffy with him.

Instead, Batman smirks.

He leans in

And purrs: “So you didn’t notice?”

The League freezes. The implications are dangling over their head. Did he… did he really?

Green Lantern, absolutely terrified: “No. no, there’s no way…”

Batman: “Oh, there absolutely was a way. I’d say you were a good kisser, but honestly? I think it might have been the euphoria of getting you to shut up.”

He turns on the rest of the league, still smirking. “I have kissed every single person who consented at least once in the time since the bet was made. Two of you with tongue. And no one has called me out on it. Now that you know it’s happened, you should be able to figure me out, so whoever can tell me my real name first, wont get thier story used as an example in the brand new “how to avoid honeypots” seminar.”

(If bonus superbat, B shoots Superman a Look and goes “except for you, superman, because I told you my name.” Which just ends up distracting everyone else until they get THAT story)

Diana wins bc she matched up the boys to the robins. Everyone else gets their stories told in excruciating detail. Batman rates them by kissing ability and how obvious he was on his approach. Oliver gets docked points for “texture.” Dinah gets docked points because “i griped about the exact same thing in and out of costume, how did you not notice-“

And what would you say his and Lunars relationship would be like? Assuming that Lunar doesn’t know anything about Eclipse yet since it hasn’t been stated he’s been informed about him; would Lunar unknowingly and naively trust Eclipse and ‘befriend’ him or would he just assume he means bad and just… not interact with him?

Isn’t usually the type to do so for no valid reason, but once he fell in love, he quickly got accustomed to this kind of “curfew.” One time, he said he was just going on a walk, but came back with a huge lego set & spent the entire night assembling it along with your guys’ toddler.

This guy is definitely the type to make sure you’re toddler has many skills despite his age. They spend a good amount of time with the family and the best activities they can offer is playing with your kid, whether there’s a good lesson involved or they’re just spending time with one another.

Is beyond QUESTIONABLE when it comes to just spending time your guys’ toddler. He isn’t sure what the hell he’s even supposed to do with the weird looking kid. Activities? What activities? He’ll be back home at any time of day he’d like, or not, one or the other. Doesn’t even understand how the hell he got to be a dad in the first place. He is the father, you’re both sure of it, but he is no figure. 💀💀 He’s a lost cause, and he wasn’t planning on starting a family any time soon. Well, your both still young and he’s got other shit planned, which is also why he only sees them as little gremlins that needs to stay as far away as possible from him. Maybe, just MAYBE, with time, he’ll grow closer to your little family and improve.

ok nobody asked but these r my stranger things unpopular opinions, inspired by a tweet where people just shared super common and well accepted opinions instead of actual controversy lol

also half of these r gonna be ronance centered because they’re literally all i think about

- first and foremost, nancy is a lesbian. i think so many of her actions and struggles can absolutely be traced back to comphet and repression and i feel like people want to cling onto her romance with steve and jonathan as a way to justify her fondness for them, when i think she can just care about them because they’re her friends and they’re trauma bonded(tm)

- while i like steve and robin being besties as much as everyone else i feel like people overestimate how close they really are in canon. of course they’re best friends but they really aren’t overly dependent on each other like people interpret them to be. they’re best friends but they also function really well on their own.

- though there’s no denying that will has feelings for mike i sincerely doubt that those romantic feelings are reciprocated and i think people are way too confident that byler is gonna be canon

- elmax is miles better than almost every canon AND fanon relationship in the show (i’d argue jopper and lumax (and biased opinion ronance) are the only genuine contenders)

- while i make a habit of being overly critical of men i think people forget that the “grumpy dad” trope with hopper that they like so much comes with him being a total dick sometimes lol

- both jonathan AND steve were weird as fuck in season 1. y’all r having a mid-off when u argue jancy vs. stancy

- and by mid-off i mean stancy wasn’t as bad as y’all act like it was and jancy is not as good as y’all act like it is

- karen is not a good mother. i think everyone can agree karen is weird as fuck for the billy thing, but i see a lot of people argue for karen that she’s really grown as a mother but i’m not seeing it. i don’t doubt that she loves her kids but there’s a reason mike and nancy are Like That

- y’all made up a ton of steve’s personality traits. i’m all good with interpreting his character a certain way but if the reason you hate nancy wheeler is because she unknowingly poked at insecurity of steve’s that u made up i have 0 respect for ur opinions lol

Sorry to bother you but I saw you were a fellow Clark lover and I feel like you were a great person to ask this question to: In your opinion, what traditions/culture things from Krypton does Clark do in his daily life? Ex, could be a small Kryptonian prayer before eating or a specific holiday, etc Clark in my opinion would do everything he can to keep his heritage alive so I was curious what your take on it was :)

first thing’s first, i believe clark has some instincual and natural kryptonian things that he does that he either was told wasn’t normal by his parents, or things that he’s done mostly in private for a majority of his life so therefore he has no idea that it’s not normal.

One thing i headcanon he does is bump his head to other people’s heads as a form of affection like if he likes you he’ll put his forehead on yours. im leaning into the kryptonians are like cats thing, i love that. obviously he doesn’t do this with everyone as to keep up appearances, but he does it with ma and pa and the league. Kyrptonians are a very physically affectionate people

Another thing he can do but doesn’t because it’s definitely NOT human, is clicking (similar to a raven), it’s a sound that comes from deep in his body tho so it’s not super loud and only really noticeable in a quiet room or if you’re sitting right next to him, he can control it for the most part but sometimes it happens without his consent when he’s particularly frustrated abt something.

Uuhmm oh i also like to think everything on earth tastes completely different to him, like pickles are like ghost peppers to him and marshmallows taste like cilantro or somethin. as a baby the jarred baby food always made him pull a face and spit it out and now there’s these two panicked parents completely lost on how and what to feed this alien baby. mashed up raw onions and bell peppers were like candy to him and his parents just had to hope that it wasn’t bad for him. stuff like that. he’s physically repulsed by cheese, all of it. the smell alone makes him want to vomit. (i know this clashes with my headcannon that he’s an amazing cook and makes the best meals, but that’s just a process of following the recipe and knowing how to do it cause ma taught him how, as well as all her special recipes, so to him it’s just a routine.)

i have more somewhere in my head but they’re not comin to me rn. i really gotta draw out my versions of kryptonians because i really do like to lean in to the fact that they are aliens and should look and feel a little more like it yaknow?

okay, traditions and keeping his culture alive stuff let’s see

he wears the traditional kryptonian fits on special kryptonian holidays as well as father’s day. There’s a holiday that celebrates animal companionship (pets basically) and every leaguer agrees that it’s absolutely criminal it’s not a real national holiday on earth. The league celebrates every year.

kryptonian birthday’s work a bit differently, for the entire day your eyes glow and instead of recieving gifts and having a party, the person who’s birthday it was gets an entire day to themselves, no work or anything, they just get to relax and do whatever they want, a birthday was a day of celebration of course with loved ones but the custom applied to work and such, if it was your birthday, you were allowed to do whatever you wanted that day free of charge so long as it wasn’t illegal obviously, this was customary on Krypton because a birthday was considered a very important day, in a different way that’s it’s considered on earth. Bruce does everything in his power to take all work load off of Clark every year after hearing Clark talk abt kryptonian birthday’s once, and Bruce being fully aware of how important keeping krypton alive is to Clark even if it is in small seemingly pointless ways, he does that. Much to Clark’s dismay, Bruce practically forces him to take the day off and offers to pay for literally anything he wants to do that day. Usually Clark just wants to spend time with friends and family.

Always - Diego Hargreeves

You couldn't remember when you'd begun to doubt yourself, or your relationship with Diego. It just started, the thoughts of your relationship, lingering and dark, opinions of your worthiness for him, replaying against your mind at late hours of the night.

You loved the man wholeheartedly, the way he made you feel unmatched to any other, but there were things you questioned on days when you sat on social media for too long, or your eyes lingered to someone on the street who was something you were not.

You'd thought about telling him, the concept of confessing your insecurities to Diego a much thought-over topic, but you couldn't bring yourself to do it. What if that little voice in your head was right, and what if in discussing such things, Diego agreed, maybe deciding he was better off on his own? But you knew he loved you, he told you continuously, every day before he left for work, every night before you went to sleep. Still, there were other words on your mind that you heard on the same loop. Your own doubts and fears.

You'd managed to suppress how you felt for a while, keeping the thoughts and feelings quiet for you to deal with on your own. However, as time passed, your concerns grew, and the pile of uncertainties in your mind rose until things began to tumble. And when things start breaking down, people begin to notice.

"Hey, something's up with you," Diego pauses the motion removing his jacket, sitting beside you on the couch. "Tell me about it?" His voice is gentle, question not demanding in the slightest, you love him for that, but you can't bring yourself to do what he asks.

"I'm fine Diego, how was your day?"

Diego moves from beside you on the couch, opting to kneel in front of you instead. You know this tactic, the way he gets you to look at him.

"More importantly, how was your day?" He ignores your question entirely, putting it back on you like a pro. Unluckily for Diego, you're just as good at deflecting.

"It was fine, d'you want coffee?" You stand, resting a gentle hand on Diego's shoulder as you move past him to the kitchen. The most efficient way to keep everything packed inside is to not get caught up in his sweet eyes.

"Hey, hey, wait." He's up on his feet now too, following you, and you have to admit, it's annoying how he won't let it go. "Talk to me, baby."

There's no escaping him or this situation you realise because with every lie he sees through you like glass. "What do you want to talk about?" You keep your back to him still, despite feeling yourself giving in. If you don't look at him, perhaps you can hold out a little longer.

"I wanna talk about you, and whatever's going on in that beautiful head of yours."

You scoff, trying your best to seem as though you're busy with coffee, even though it's four o'clock in the afternoon and you are sure as hell you don't need it. "I told you I'm okay, Diego."

"No, you're not." He's persistent. You'll give him that. "You're not smiling like usual. You've stopped doing all your cute, quirky shit, and you won't even look at me."

"What cute, quirky shit?"

You can hear Diego let out a breath from behind you, and you feel his arms snake around your waist, pulling you close to him. "The rambling and the random humming."

You frown, "I don’t ramble."

Diego chuckles, and you can feel the vibrations of it through your back. "Oh, yes, you do. I get you started on something, and you're on it for hours." He takes a breath, and you feel that too. It runs right through you. "And that's not a negative thing, I love it when you ramble, which is why I hate it that you've stopped."

He's getting to you, breaking your walls down with each sweet word, and you have to pull away before the glass breaks. You shuffle yourself out of his arms, even when you feel cold doing so. "You don't like when I ramble, and you don't like it when I hum or fidget-"

"Who told you that?" Diego cuts you off. The frown on his face seems genuinely defensive as if he's ready to fight whoever has spread what he deems to be misinformation.

"Nobody Diego. Nobody told me, I just know."

"What'd you mean, you just know?" He takes a step forward, trying to meet you in the middle. You move back.

"I just know that I'm not good enough for you." It slips out before you can stop it, words hanging in the air like a model plane, suspended from a kids’ bedroom ceiling.

"Who the fuck told you that?" Diego looks utterly confused, though he always is.

"Nobody, it’s just—it's a feeling that I have." It's embarrassing to say aloud, and your body responds by shrinking into itself, one arm folded over your body, the other hand hiding your face. You feel sick, and you can sense the tears burning behind your eyes.

"Baby," You hear Diego move forward, heavy boots clunky angst the floorboards. "Hey, look at me."

"You're a fucking hero Diego, you have superpowers for god’s sake." You refuse to look at him, you can't. "I'm just—me."

"And I love you," Diego reaches to touch you and you move back, turning away. One touch from him and the floodgates will open. You can't put that on him, guilt trip him into staying with you forever.

"Hey, No. Don't do that." Diego captures you in his arms, your back pressed to his chest. "I love you, and you mean more to me than some stupid ability to throw shit. I fucking love you."

You try to hide a sniffle with a deep breath, hands still over your eyes. You think if you keep them there, you can trap the tears inside.

"Hey, are you hearing me?" Diego's voice is soft, gentle and so reassuring that you could get lost in it. "How many times do I have to say it for you to believe me? What can I do to make you believe me?"

All you do is shake your head. it doesn't make sense to do so, but right now words aren't your strong point. Diego kisses the back of your head, then your neck, and your shoulder. He's trying to make you laugh, smile, say something, and you know it.

"If it's between the both of us, I think I'm the one that doesn't deserve you, okay?" You sniffle again, a breathy chuckle passing through your lips. "Don't you laugh at that baby, I'm being serious."

You know he is, and even if you find it hard to believe, it does make you feel better. "I'm sorry."

"No, don't you do that either." Diego turns you around, pulling you in for a hug. "No apologising."

You hug him back because it's all you can think of to do, and you find your spirits lifting, even despite your doubts.

"I need you to make me a promise," Diego gives you a squeeze, words muttered into your hair.

"Okay."

He pulls back, just enough so that he can see your face as he takes it in his hands. "You promise me that if you ever feel like that again, you come to me. We'll talk it out, and every time I'll tell you just how many people I would kill for you."

He smiles and you try to mimic the expression. The honesty in his voice silences the racing of your mind for the minute, and you feel comfortable with yourself again.

"Now give me a kiss."

You laugh at that but do as he says before he brings you in for another hug, squeezing you so tight you can hardly breathe. It feels great, losing your breath over him, and you'll happily do it again and again, knowing that he feels the same.
