What’s so interesting about star trek tos is that all this crazy batshit stuff happens but it’s never brought up again. BUT not only that, the characters still gradually change. Their relationships with each other grow. Stuff evolves. It’s not like, ‘well that happened, time to reset!’ It’s more like, ‘things happened that are never going to be mentioned ever again but we have still changed.’ And it’s fucking baffling

I had a thought earlier: What if Ezio was Desmond's Sage?
Basically, the usual setup with Desmond using the eye to contact Ezio in the library and offering to send him back in time to save his family, but due to the damage he's sustained from the Eye, he can't come with. Once this moment in the Grey is over, he would die. Ezio begs him to come with him, through any means possible. He refuses to leave behind the divine being he is the chosen Prophet for. The being who is going against Fate itself to give him his family back. Desmond just can't say no to Ezio and tries to see if there's anyway he could come with Ezio. He doesn't want to die if he can avoid it. It's then, through the connection with the Eye and the Apple, that he learns about Sages. With a few modifications for Ezio's safety, that could work. Instead of consuming Ezio's mind to take over, he would just live alongside him. When he tells Ezio of it, Ezio accepts.
.
.
When Ezio wakes up, it is to his childhood bedroom. Everything is how it was when he was 17. Is 17. It worked! His family is alive and well! Did the Sage thing work?
"Desmond, are you here?"
'Yes Ezio, i am.'
.
Just a thought i had. I imagine that Ezio could let Desmond have control of his body, but Desmond is pretty chill with just watching though Ezio's eyes.
Ezio would have mind conversations with Desmond, which worries his family a lot when they catch him just staring emptily though the air. That and his complete switch in behaviour.
There's probably so many routes to go here, but i'm too sleep deprived to think atm. XD
It doesn’t take long before Desmond realized that all the modifications he made for his consciousness to become part of Ezio had turned him to be the least invasive Bleed to ever be conceived.
Did this count as possession?
Was Ezio even a Sage or was Desmond simply a sentient Bleed?
Wait.
Did that mean that the Bleeding Effect mimicked the experiences a Sage goes through when they start ‘getting’ the Isu’s memories.
Didn’t that mean that there was a possibility that the Animus was based on the research the Isus made to create the-
“Desmond, as interesting as your thoughts are about this subject, I’d prefer it if you were to. Focus!” Ezio was unable to stop himself from raising his voice as he punched one of Vieri’s hired muscles as Desmond liked to call them. The man staggered as he took a few steps back and Ezio swiped his feet before stomping on his groin.
There was a few scandalous looks thrown his way at that attack and Ezio just shrugged.
It wasn’t his fault that Desmond’s skills in unarmed combat bled through to him during these situations and Desmond fought shamelessly dirty.
‘In my defense…’ Desmond quipped from his mind, ‘I was taught that honor and shame have no place when you’re getting ganged up by Templars.’
Ezio grunted as he dodged a punch aimed for his chest, quickly grabbing the wrist and pulling him forward to unbalance him before delivering a high knee strike, making the man gasp as Ezio kneed him on the throat.
Okay, that one was from one of Desmond’s Bleed, not Desmond himself.
But then again…
Desmond was his Bleeds and his Bleeds were him. When he thinks about it that way…
“Desmond…” Ezio gritted as he smacked an incoming kick from another man, quickly jabbing the man’s side before suckerpunching him.
‘Sorry, sorry. My brain’s wacky at the moment.’ Desmond said.
That was an understatement.
Desmond had been in Ezio’s body for only a few hours. They had went outside to try and get a lay of the land and found out the date by Vieri throwing a rock at Ezio and giving Ezio the scar on his lips.
So yeah…
Desmond was still not used to being this… entity inside Ezio’s mind.
“Don’t think too hard.” Ezio backhanded a goon’s cheek hard and fast enough that he was able to topple the surprised and hurt goon with his mind quickly making it known that it was a common technique Altaïr used to do. Ezio tried to focus as he said, “Let’s just get this over with then we can have our mental breakdown in our room, okay?”
‘Yeah, okay.’ Desmond answered and Ezio felt Desmond focus.
It was like his senses became clearer.
His body became lighter.
And…
He could predict everyone’s next move.
To borrow Desmond’s expression at the moment.
Holy shit.
(Desmond doesn’t know it but because he made Ezio his Sage, he is technically a being that has access to Isu senses which he can pass down to Ezio. Ezio’s human body can’t take much of it though so there’s a time limit and that is how Federico comes in and save them because Ezio and Desmond starts getting a headache after using it too much.)

So I don't think this is actually the case but what if Eliza and Isaac's deaths werent over a petty amount of cash and a robbery gone wrong? What if, instead, Dutch had seen Arthur spending time with them, had perceived him slipping away as a threat: a threat to himself, his gang, his security, his family, afraid of losing his lead enforcer - whether he truly at that point did love him like a son, or not. And in his insecurity or fear or whatever other reason, he finds someone rotten, unrelated to the gang, and he pays them to murder Eliza and her little boy, so no one will ever tempt Arthur away from the flock, and he instead puts all his energy and time into the gang, the only family he has left.

Found this tea towel online while I was looking for pictures of Mojo Jojo in a state of misery and…?
Tumblr media
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this design? It’s amazing! I love it so much! 😍 What the heck?! I want this on a t-shirt! If anyone knows if it’s actually being sold as a shirt or something or what the source is (I mean other than being from CN) I honestly want to know.
The towel’s being sold here if anyone is interested! Also, I seriously wish I could just find a master list of where PPG stuff is being sold right now, it’s a miracle I even find these things to begin with.

BNHA Fanfic idea that won't leave me alone:
All for one is Midoriya Hizashi, but...
Nobody knows. Like, literally, nobody knows. Inko never figured out his identity, and with him getting busier after Izuku's fifth birthday it looks like he left bc he's quirkless, so she never much cared for trying to find him and neither did Izuku. All pictures of him are banished into a box in her closet and haven't seen the light of day since Izuku was six or so, when they had a fight over the telephone over him wanting to fix Izuku.
AFO himself suffered obviously a lot of head trauma when fighting All Might, and this gave him partial amnesia. He has no or only very few memories of the decade or so prior to the battle, so he has none regarding his family that he meticulously kept from everyone else's awareness, including the Doctor's. He does see the monthly payment to Inko but assumes it's from a bribe or keeping a corrupt official in his pocket. Given that he can't recall whom it's to and immortality made him extremely wealthy, he doesn't cut it off, nor tries to follow it and make the memory loss obvious.
The only one who does know?
The ghost of Yoichi, who suddenly had another person he could haunt and went to see what's going on. Maybe throw in Nana too, if you want Inko to secretly be a Shimura.
Cue Yoichi fretting over his baby nephew the very moment Izuku gets OFA, up to and including giving him in-depth instructions on how to use the quirk and helping him manage it without harm to him while the other vestiges (minus Nana) are busy laughing their asses off.

It honestly baffles me how people are dunking on Sada and Turo for being shitty parents much more than I saw when Sun and Moon first came and Lusamine was first revealed to be the villain like huh 😭 where was that energy before??? Because I feel there’s more nuance with Sada and Turo’s characters and their motivations than there were with Lusamine’s (I’m talking about her in the games of course, not the anime. I will also leave discussion for what happens in Ultra Sun and Moon for another post, so I’m only talking about the plot of the original Sun and Moon here). I’m honestly just tired of all the bashing on the Professors and them being watered down to “typical shitty parent in Pokemon” when the game clearly states and implies the exact opposite.
Lusamine is very much shown to have abandoned her kids, openly berating them and saying she has no children right in front of her daughter’s face because they “abandoned her love” and going forth with her plan to open the wormholes and summon the ultra beasts with no consideration for anything else. She doesn’t have the headspace to care about her children anymore in her plan, in huge contrast to Sada/Turo’s plan where despite how extreme it was, was at the core still centered around their son and their family. I think chalking it down to just “well they’re still both bad parents anyway” takes away some of the complexity surrounding their characters in the first place. Also I’m only bringing Lusamine as a comparison mostly because Ghetsis and Giovanni do not have any other depth to their characters in the core games lmao, and I feel Lusamine is a great example of a parent who used to care but had lost that love after her husband’s “death” and along the way of achieving her goal, while Sada and Turo are examples of the complete opposite: parents who still held onto that love and care throughout their goal, but took it so far that they hurt the one person it was for the most out of everything. It really feels like people are portraying the professors’ flaws in the completely wrong way. The problem was never “they never loved their son at all and intentionally abandoned him” it was “they became so invested and deluded in their plan they ended up neglecting the treasure it was supposed to be for.” which is exactly what distinguishes them from all the other parent antagonists we’ve seen so far. There’s a certain tragedy present in seeing a broken family that used to be so happy together that I feel was also in Sun and Moon’s story, but was muddled due to the story focusing on other aspects.
And I’m going to address this right now because I know people are going to say something because they lack reading comprehension: I am not excusing Sada and Turo’s actions in the game and how their neglect had affected Arven. Explanations are not Excuses. You can acknowledge that they loved their son while still hurting him in the end, both ideas can coexist. I merely just want to analyze wtf even happened here for the professor to go down this path. And it’s also worth nothing that we don’t have much answers in the game itself as of right now, since well—the original is dead and we’re dealing with an AI version of them for the entirety of the game. Most of this is coming from the original’s journals in the lab, but I think the game makes a clear distinction that they still loved Arven even after everything. Despite their delusion taking over them, I think they genuinely believed what they were doing was the best for them and their family despite otherwise. The whole point at the end was to highlight how they didn’t need to create that paradise. They had that loving family already, and it was too late for them to realize that Arven only needed them and nothing else.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I want the DLC to address Arven’s other parent and what exactly happened to them (or better yet, meet them in the story which would honestly be an interesting parallel where the professor of the opposite version is the one you get to know more than the original in game one). I know the in game Professor’s journal entry says they “walked out” but what does that even mean in hindsight? Keep in mind this is from the point of view of someone who’s continuously being deluded into their own idea of paradise, who most likely felt grief after their partner left them that they built an entire AI of themselves to help complete the project.
And yet they still say they’re going to build a paradise for “the three of them.” Does that mean the in game professor was also trying in some way to bring the other parent back? What if it was an accident? What if they were sent through the time machine and couldn’t go back, and the in game professor was so distraught their delusion out of sheer desperation made it so they processed it as “(s)he walked out on me, and now I’m all alone.” Of course this all a lot of speculation, but it just doesn’t make sense to me how Arven’s other parent would “leave” like that. Maybe I’m being an optimist about it, but it really does feel like it was unwillingly in some way, where the in game professor’s increasing delusion was the reason why they “left” so to speak.
And that’s not even addressing the 3rd legendary of the game and its role in all of this is. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was meant to parallel the snake/the devil in Genesis, as the sin of temptation since the professor and Area Zero have a lot of similarities with the Garden of Eden and this idea of “paradise” for their family. Where the 3rd legendary gave them the opportunity to create their paradise by giving them access to the paradox pokemon and terastalizing, and thus influenced them so much, it eventually led them down to a path of their own destruction consumed by the delusion that they could create a paradise for their family, but failed to recognize they ended up hurting the one person they treasured most in the end. If the other professor did indeed return in the DLC, maybe it would give the chance to separate themselves from their spouse and make things right with both the region and Arven. Having them be the antithesis to the other Professor’s motivation and making the choice to stay with Arven in the present would be a really cool way to wrap up the story ngl.
Anyways people who portray them as apathetic and uncaring to Arven in fan art and fics I wish you a very “play the fucking game again please”. Even their character design sheets say otherwise, especially with Sada like I cannot imagine the woman described as “not being able to hide her emotions well” would be a cold and uncaring mother like come on 💀 I played Violet for crying out loud and I’m still able to recognize that.

What's a popular fandom interpretation of your muse that you tend to dislike the most?
well! here’s a question that resonates deeply with me because i am, tragically, a hater and a hipster. though in all seriousness, i’m rather used to forming my own opinions about my chosen muses without any fandom influence -- a perk i gained from being in relatively barren fandoms most of my life, as well as being rather loose with what’s deemed as morally upright or morally bad, if that makes sense? like, i love my characters being heavily flawed, and i don’t care for debating on the ethics of a fictional world either. especially for a show like hazbin! these characters are in hell, and even if they didn’t start out too bad, being in such a horrific environment for far too long is bound to change anyone for the worst … so discussions like, ‘who’s the bad guy in the vox and alastor fallout?’ or ‘but ( character name ) is totally a good person guys, i mean murdering & exploiting others isn’t as bad as ( other character name )’s crimes!’ do not interest me in the slightest, usually. i find it redundant! but this more chill attitude towards moral purity does give me the benefit of not leaning too hard in either direction, when it comes to good verus evil, and this fandom is full of people who either woobify characters to hell and back or villainize them an almost humorous amount, so! with that all out of the way, let me see!
there are a lot of alastor interpretations that i don’t like / don’t see -- obviously, people are allowed to do what they want! i’m all about creative freedom, and for all of my alastor mutuals who might read this, this is not about your portrayals whatsoever! but for starters, i don’t think alastor’s good at manipulation, nor that he’s a master manipulator! which is one of the most popular fandom takes out there in regards to him?? to be blunt, the deception on his end is fickle and rather poor : not once does he try to pretend to have the hotel’s best interests at heart ( aka his whole ‘i’m here to see the hotel fail’ spiel ) and he doesn’t actively engage with the guests or charlie unless it openly serves him in some way. he is soooo transparent! people give him way too much credit when it comes to this ability, and i think people are misunderstanding the difference between alastor obviously having another motive versus him actively working towards said motive through lies and mind games.
and i know people bring up the scene in ep7 to allude to his manipulative tactics but … that was nothing short of a poor & desperate attempt on al’s end to secure something he’s been vying for this entire time, yet didn’t actually possess the skills / bonds to achieve. charlie immediately clocks his intent! she knew he wanted to make a deal with her from the pilot ( he had, again, not tried hiding this from her ) , and while she probably assumed he’d given up on that endeavor, she quickly grows disappointed in him during that scene -- she is under no pretense that this deal will lead to a good thing, or that alastor isn’t actively using her here, like, she clocked him the second he offered the deal lol. idk! i just don’t believe he’s good at this : alastor, to me, perfectly encapsulates an animal stuck in a trap trying to gnaw his own leg off so that he may escape. he’s desperate, he’s at the end of his rope, he’s in no mindset to be thinking clearly enough to formulate these long term plans or execute them! so i believe calling him a master manipulator is a stretch haha. if he’s supposed to be one then man he sucks at it ngl!!! kinda embarrassing for him, really.
i also don’t adhere to the belief that alastor hates men on principle either! his tolerance for men is significantly shorter compared to women, yes, but most of the guys in the show do earn his ire in some way -- even if his reasons are petty or wrong. vox is his literal enemy and was slandering his name across all of the pride ring, so of course alastor ( someone who’s prideful and reasonably cares about his reputation ) retaliates and responds cruelly, which isn’t even touching upon their scorned history! sir pentious was mostly harmless, true, but he’s been trying to kill alastor for years and was vox’s little spy as well … alastor has no reason to care for nor trust him at first, much less treat him well when he’s attacked the hotel twice just to get to him! lucifer is not only a rumored deadbeat, but is more powerful than alastor and was just as rude to him initially! their beef is evenly matched. frankly husker is the only soul he treats rather unfairly & extremely, though even that level of reaction has a clear reason for existing! like, i’m tired of people acting like it’s purely a gender thing, when the reasons for these reactions are clearly based on other reasons than just. oh. this is a man.
we see that al has no qualms treating vaggie with complete disrespect just because he dislikes her, to the point of slapping her ass in the pilot ( a very mannish thing to do, mind you! ) , so this isn’t just about man hatred to me. and don't get me wrong, i think alastor still does have issues with gender but it shows itself more in the way he views the fairer sex as ... the fairer sex? he thinks women are superior, is softer on them based on instinct, and probably got along with women only before hell. like, i do believe he mostly killed men ... maybe a woman here or there ( since i think, as his name suggests, his serial killing spree was about revenge and vengeance and his skewed views of right and wrong! ) but i think hell changed that, or at least humbled him somewhat because now everyone around him is unabashedly awful and bad. idk if that makes sense but! i feel like it's a world view that's faded mostly, and what really remains is an urge to protect girls from men ... yes he'll get along with girls easier but he won't be aggressive to a man just because of that, usually.
anyway! yeah! those are just some i could think of off the top of my head that were juicy enough to write out. hope this was enjoyable <3
