RV AU on hybrid souls for uty/ut

So in my Revelverse (Or Revelry Verse/RV!) for UTY and UT, Boss Monsters and Elite monsters (who can become boss monsters and are either well trained or related to a boss monster) can handle diluted injections of soul traits. This results in an unnatural Hybrid Soul.

Attempting to bind with a trait always makes them sick until they get acclimated to it. They get sicker and stay sick longer if their soul rejects the trait.

Binding sickness is flu-like, and can leave monsters that reject the trait bedridden and delirious with fever for up to four days. Those that accept the trait have a much milder sickness that lasts up to three days, but can wear off in six hours.

Human-monster hybrids naturally have Hybrid Souls. Not all of the monsters were banished when the barrier went up in RV. The monsters that stayed behind, and their hybrid children, all have illusory and/or shapeshifting magic, which allows them to pass as human. They start coming out of hiding gradually a few years before the barrier breaks.

So who has what trait in RV, and how does it affect them?

Starlo: KINDNESS. His soul is tinted green, and he has weak healing magic and fire magic alongside his attacks showcased in UTY. He is a multi-phasic monster thanks to his hybrid trait and how much influence he exerted over the Dunes, which means he has a Zenith form I dub Nova. More on that later.

Dalv: PERSEVERANCE. He's a gentle, shy monster... most of the time. Don't force his hand. Dalv is a tesla coil with a heartbeat, and in RV, once in a while, he stands up for his friends and for himself. He learned special magic designed to capture, not harm, hostiles.

Ceroba: DETERMINATION. No surprise there.

Orion: PATIENCE. This hinges on a personality headcanon I developed without playing UTY. Orion is a quiet man who doesn't bear his heart too easily, but is always a beacon of support for his friends and family. He does what he can.

Martlet: INTEGRITY. Obvious reasons are obvious.

Now, about Starlo's Nova form. His Nova form has two states: True Nova and Neutral. In True Nova, his skin brightly glows a bright shade of sunny yellow, almost white, which shifts to cyan in a gradient towards his outlines. His spines and the markings on his head simply become brighter in this state. The tendrils on his head may fold backwards, mimicking a comet tail, though they will still move to emphasize his expressions and how he's feeling. In his neutral state, his skin is the same color as the night sky. He blends in perfectly with it, also, save for the fact that his body will not mirror shooting stars. He takes this state when he has managed to get his emotions under control for the time being. He can sometimes be seen rapidly switching between Neutral and Nova, then back to Neutral as he attempts to calm himself down. This results in bright flashes of light. Unfortunately, he is quite impulsive and emotional in this state. Will try to attack people and monsters he's mad at, but will be unable to bring himself to. Such is the curse and blessing of his Hybrid Soul.

Riddle Rosehearts

Riddle is a learn as you go kind of parent. Breaking the chain is hard. It takes generations. He knows that, so was always hesitant to ever raise kids. But with you he thinks he can speed up the process. He is a little strict, you can't win every battle, but he's much more understanding. And that's the difference between him and his mother. If he makes a mistake, or upsets your child, he takes the time to understand and grow from it.

Trey Clover

He's a jovial father. He's calm but everyone can see he's just so happy to have this life. He's the kind who will quietly sit with the kids to help them with homework, boop their noses with chocolate frosting, tell the worst dad jokes ever that make them laugh so hard they pee, and tucks them in snuggly so "the monsters can't reach them". A soft man, who when he passes, the kids will always remember dad as someone who had a smile for everyone.

Cater Diamond

0-2 kids

Honestly, Cay Cay is one of the ones who if you wanted to have kids, you'd have to try hard to convince him. But for the sake of these HC's, we'll ignore the 0. In all honestly, he starts out incredibly scared and tense. He's worry he'll break the kids. But he slowly gets over it, and becomes the cool dad. The dilf at pta meetings His holiday cards are always the best, he sets up a haunted house for the neighborhood during Halloween, puts on a light show during the winter, dresses the kids in modern fashion…a lot of parents are so jealous. They wouldn't be so jealous if they knew the literal blood sweat and tears he puts into it all though. You need to tell him to calm down from time to time.

Ace Trappolla

2-5 kids

Hybrid of cool dad, and concerning dad. He'll let the kids do pretty much whatever they want, as long as they don't disrespect you. Sure you and your friends can go snowboarding, but your room better be fucking spotless, or you'll be praying to the seven for your soul. Yeah you're friends can- what the fuck do you just say about Y/N? No more friends. You're grounded. You'll have to try your darndest to get him to watch his language. Spoiler alert, he never will.

Deuce Spade

Deuce is the kind of dad where, when people asks if he wants to raise a boy or a girl, he says boy. Not because he doesn't want a girl, he's just scared he'll fuck her up on accident with some of his behavioral tendencies. But in the end…he's a girl dad. He raises three girls, whether by birth or adoption, that's just how his luck turns out. And he's the best goddamn girl dad ever. By kid three, he only wants girls, cause how the fuck do you boy dad? Even as the girls get older, he isn't scared of some of the things that come with women. He always carries pads and pain killers. Anytime they need advice on relationships, and societal problems, they know they can go to dad.

He…to his surprise…turns out to be exactly the way Mufasa raises Simba. Stern when necessary, but totally down to rough house and play. He loves his little rat more than life itself, and will do anything to prep him for life so that he can have the things Leona never did.

Teaches his kids early on to be light fingered. Imagine a bunch of hooligans running through the street, and when they're gone, you realize you're wallet is gone too. That's your kids. But only when you're not looking. He's raised them to understand not to snitch on dad. 😒 Otherwise no one can have fun. Other than that, he's a really soft dad. Playing with the kids, good for hugs, cooking meals that get them all their nutrients, but also provide comfort. The moment he can afford it, Ruggie is becoming your perfect little househusband.

He's the kind of dad that outsiders worry is a little cold and distant. But that's not the case. They just don't know how to read him. He has his own language that his kids perfectly understand. Left eyebrow quirked=what do you think you're doing? Right side of mouth quirked up=I'm so proud of you. Left side quirked down=that's not funny. Etc etc. The kids can always count in dad for snuggles if they are sad or have a bad dream. Even if he doesn't always remember to verbalize it, they always know they are loved.

He's the one who has every step of his parenting and finances planned, to flawless perfection. And then immediately panics when he realizes you can't plan for everything, children are unpredictable. The first kid that breaks a bone, he's just wanting to go back to his octopus pot. Not to mention if your kids are birthed, he's not prepared for half octomer, half human, kids. He's unprepared, and very scared, but he's a loving dad…even if he seems too tense sometimes.

Then they'll look over and see eel merman wrestling three of them and laughing like a mad man. He'll bandage them up, and give them kisses on their boo boos, but he won't calm down. Not that he needs to, they don't want him to calm down. Dad's fun!

Party dad! He's a, "we rather you tried it at home than with strangers" kinda guy. By the time he is parenting, he's a little better at self control though, so he's willing to be that buffer, and help kid's stop before their limits. Also, he's the kind that pouts if his kids don't say, "I love you" when he drops them somewhere.

Strict dad. Old habits die hard. Or don't at all. You'll have to be self aware if he's too hard on the kids. The thing is, he has only had his freedom for so long, and his kids. The reason he's like this is because he's scared. His kids have a freedom that previous generations of Vipers never had. He doesn't want them to throw it away. He's terrified one misstep and they'll lose everything. You'll have to calm him down sometimes. But the kids, especially the older they get, will understand that this is how dad protects them. He also gives out expensive gifts if he thinks he's taken things a step too far… the kids love that.

There's no way this man doesn't raise a high achieving, future ex gifted child. So at first, he'll beam with pride as his child produces the best results, grades, magic, appearances, etc. It'll be a bit of a learning curve when the crash hits, and won't understand right away. But once he does, he becomes the biggest advocate for mental health services,and getting kids the care and enrichment they need. He does speeches, runs rallies, becomes the face of any movement that has to do with his kid.

He has to raise the future heir. So on the one hand, he has to be strict. But he makes it clear early on, that there's separation from work and home. Aka, sometimes he is father, king of darkness, and sometimes he is dad, server of applesauce. The kids are smart enough to know the difference, and figure out which Malleus they are talking to.

Quiet dad. A lot like Trey. He's soft and gentle, and the kids can count on him for snuggles, whether he's awake or not. A man of few words, but perfect for a lullaby, deep life advice, and snuggles.

Soccer dad. Angrily yelling at his kids when they are subpar, and angrily yelling at other kids when they come for his kids. Fiercely loyal to the end, and to a fault, he will protect his family at all costs, even if he does grump and groan about it the whole time.

Okay hear me out.

If Mumbo turns partially into the same species as whatever he eats, and he ate Grian's soul. Mumbo is now partially whatever Grian is, wether you think he's a bird hybrid, human, or a watcher or something else entirely.

And this mostly caries over to how Mumbo looks. Like he may look like a potato when he ate a bunch but he could still do whatever he could before he shape shifted.

When mumbo ate Grian's soul, he mostly looked human and like his regular self again. Mostly. all that changed is that he now has a waffle pattern on the back of his hair just like Grian.

Thus, we can draw the conclusion that if hermitcraft Grian is a watcher, all the watchers have waffle-like hair. (or if you hc Grian as smtn else, that others of his species still all have waffle hair)

allow me to be not normal about grumbo for a second and present a hc of mumbo jumbo, an immortal, but not (just) bc he’s inhuman, but bc he’s a time traveler who keeps messing with his own time continuum. he messes with his own body aging process to the point where he figured out the perfect balance.

meanwhile grian was a watcher (outside of the current realm) forsaking his old form to be /human/ (well a lil bit avian hybrid), thinking that in that way he could live with mumbo, grow old together, feel human emotions.

mumbo never divulges the fact that he’s achieved immortality to anyone. for him that’s just his side gig, he’s done this before meeting others, it’s just how he runs his own body bc there’s so many things to do, to invent, to discover; yet so little time.

tying to the previous waffle comic; mumbo took grian’s soul for fun at first but it became something he’s so attached to the point he couldn’t live without it. enter the rut era. mumbo giving back grian’s soul as a ‘birthday gift’, or so he thought. grian’s soul has fused with him so much that letting it go also took out bits of mumbo himself, hence his slight aging appearance.

grian, on the other hand, when he received back his soul, felt bits of mumbo attached to it. and that really destroys him bc to grian, it’s his soul being attached so much with mumbo that it took a portion back, as if refusing to let go. but it was detached nonetheless. (even though on mumbo’s part, it was his own that clung to grian’s)

Alright, it's not finished because BB isn't finished SO bare with me.

This thing is five years in the making and I really got serious about improving it last year.

Note this au includes certain ships, hcs, rewrites, and fan kids for the second part, since it's kinda evolved into mashing my two aus together.

Offical Black Butler Au rundown

Part one:

Part one of this section is mainly focused on how differently I made the supernatural species in Black Butler, messing around with the more horror like aspect of them.

Subject one: Demons

●Demons are born from fallen angels, created through sacrifice, and of course born.

●Fallen angels are those who have fallen from grace, either by disobeying the lord or committing sin, and have been cursed to turn into demons for eternity until they are killed.

●Sacrifice only happens through rituals, in which a person's soul is handed over to another demon, where it will be eaten and the husk of the person will turn into a flesh hungry demon focused on feasting on human flesh instead of souls. This is a loose use of the term demon, but it's commonly used.

●Being born a demon has cursed you, and you will live like the fallen angels.

●Demon-human hybrids are typically normal until they hit puberty, where they begin to become violent and prone to eating more meat, and as they grow they reach their full potential as demons and hide under the mask of a human being, while being blood thirsty monsters.

●Demon-angel hybrids don't live long, typically just 100 years, and they're at constant war with themselves and their existence is painful. These hybrids often kill themselves through whatever means by the time they reach adulthood.

●Demon-reaper hybrids are more like the Reaper side, just hungry for souls and at times, flesh.

●There are three tiers to demons. The baby demon, often being only used for those born demons or turned demon, where they are weaker than most demons. This stage is where they are for around 25 years (e.i you must wait 25 years to devolp fully if you are turned into a demon, and those born demons experience this stage from ages 0-25). The second tier is the average demon, being of course the average demon you encounter in terms of power. This spot is where most demons lay. After the time period of before passes, they tend to stay here from the ages 25-10,000. The last tier is the elder demon, a demon that is quite rare due to most demons not being around that long. They are incredibly powerful and considered the most dangerous being over 10,000 years old.

●You can make a pact with a demon at the price of your soul or your body depending on what they eat, and your pacts mark will be on a certain part of your body.

Subject two: Angels

●Angels are large beings, who are sent from the heavens or are the souls of humans, whether cleansed or originally pure.

●The normal angels are your typical type, trying to purify and cleanse the world of sin, even if extreme measures are needed.

●Often, they hide their eyes, whether by hair or blindfolds, but they can still see. Under these, they have many eyes.

●Born angels act like regular angels, often and obsessed with clensing the world of filth. Its not common that they truly care for humans, only seeing them as ways to spread pureness and a way to gather more angels.

●Angels can be killed by an angel blade, holy fire, or being eaten by a demon.

●The cleansed angels act more like robots, mainly focused on their need to spread holiness.

●Angel-human hybrids look more humans, but seem to not be there in terms of mind, being more like robots with a damp feeling of emotion.

●Angel-reaper hybrids are born corrupted, and while looking like Angels physically and power wise, they are considered demons due to the sin of mingling with a reaper. These hybrids have a hard time masking as humans, especially with the mixed uncanny appearance.

●Angels have a system based on age and power like before. Normal angels are the base, being there from the time 0-25 years. Archangels are more powerful and are 25-100 years. Gifted are more skilled and as said before, more powerful, ranging 100-1,000 years. Pillars are 1,000-5,000 years. Messangers are 5,000-10,000. And the elders are 10,000+ years old, being at the absolute top and rivaling the dangers of most elder demons.

●Angels do not make pacts but many of them can pretend to be loyal to someone if that means access to a larger crowd.

Subject three: Reapers

●Grim reapers are being cursed to walk the land until their debt is repayed, after they have taken their own life.

●Reapers, in their normal form, stand very tall and skinny, and have skeleton like faces and bodies, with no eyes, but they can see.

●It takes longer for a grim Reaper to take on the look of human, and it's even harder to master turning between forms.

●Those born grim reapers are stuck being this creature until the end of time or they are killed.

●Reapers only have one level, but some reapers tend to be given the title legendary due to their long servitude and their skill at their job

●Reapers cannot make pacts and often avoid the concept of working with humans entirely

General views of the creatures.

●Angels, Demons, and Reapers can have a second form that appears more human, but more of an odd vibe to them.

●Demons, at a base level, do not often grasp the understanding of human emotion and often completely lack it. In most cases where they by chance devolp more complex emotion it's due to being around humans for extended periods of times.

●Angels have a dampened feeling of emotion but are often how like an ai experiences emotion, and even with extended human contact they do not tend to expand their emotion.

●Reapers are at base level almost exactly like humans in terms of emotion, they just often do not hold a care for human life.

●All species that are born that way tend to stop aging at 25 when the brain would fully devolp. Unless they are part human, where life expectancy ranges.

●Angel turn to mist and reform as their human forms when wanting to change, and vise versa.

●For Demons, their demonic form contorts into a grotesque scene and shifts into a human, horrifying to see but not as seeing them return to normal. Often, the human face and chest will split open, and the demon will crawl out, ripping apart the flesh and the body to become a limp, boneless piece of flesh, which they will often eat to return back to normal once they want to hide again.

●Reapers' skin will appear out of then air and so will their eyes and body fat, and seeing them return to normal is like seeing a corpse rotting sped up.

●Demons are very hard to kill. The only ways to do so are by holy water, reaper scythes, and draining them of their powers and leaving behind a destroyable husk.

●Reapers die when their debt is paid (Astronomically rare), the death scythes, or their soul is taken in a deal with a higher power, but if they are born reapers, they will stay reapers unless dying by other means previously stated.

●Angels can be killed by a holy blade, being eaten by a demon, Reaper scythes, or hellfire.

●The reproductive system of angels, demons, and reapers is a little odd.

●Demons and angels technically do have a sex when they're in their true form, but they hardly sexually reproduce in this form given how complex it can be. Instead, they tend to reproduce in these more human forms.

●Many angels are actually hermaphrodites with the fact they can switch between which sex they want to present as.

●Reapers, given they were human before, have mostly normal human anatomy but have a very low reproduction rate due to the damage of their internal organs after death.

●Cross species are not recommended but there are no real precautions against it aside for angels, who often completely reject hybrids of any kind. For demons, they tend to look down on hybrids due to their potential weakness. Reapers often do not have any notes on hybrids unless they are a reaper, in which they're often set to take on the duties of a reaper

The main overview of this au is its been around 20 years since the original series, in which Ciel's son, Charles Phantomhive, with the help of his butler Chrysanthemum Michaelis.

I've worked very VERY hard on this story despite how brief the summary is, because I plan on creating my own series based off of it one day.

I have a lot of hcs for the characters, so I like to imagine things like homophobia and tramsphobia are much more toned down (As I am not comfortable writing that).

- hes kinda anti-social (C!rek. Or cc!rek. Dunno the difference :< )

Trust issues. A lot of. He doesn't trust a single soul on this server. So why have his base somewhere people can find, when he can make it thousands and thousands of blocks away from everyone, and consequentially being safe?

- he constantly talks to himself and no one tell me otherwise

- his paranoia is so frequent its actually a person on his head

Sounds a bit crazy (I think). But makes sense to me. So, c!rek/cc!rek is so paranoid of everything being a trap and is so exhausted of this, his paranoia became a person (we're calling it rek. And we're calling c!rek rekrap). Rek looks exactly like rekrap but without the hybrid features, and without scars too (no one's telling me c!rek/cc!rek doesn't have scars). Rek is basically rekrap but... without the trauma. He can "control" the way he looks like, but instead of being a shadowy thing, rek has a more friendly look so he doesn't give rekrap a heart attack by accident. And rek's only purpose is to warn rekrap when things look too sketchy bc rekrap is so paranoid and scared and has so many trust issues and stuff like that he's constantly exhausted, always looking like he'll just lay on the ground and sleep. Also rek sometimes listens to rekrap yapping about anything

- c!rek/cc!rek has no sleep at all. Like- once or twice every 2 weeks. But when he sleeps, you're not seeing him for the next 3 days, maybe more if he happens to morph into a bear hybrid during winter (bear hybrid + winter + exhausted rek = you're not seeing him for the next 1 or 2 weeks)

- he knows where everyone lives. I can imagine he's just like talking to branzy and branzy goes "yeah I still need to grab my shulker box, I borrowed it to pangi and forgot to ask back" (I wrote branzy and pangi here bc they were the first ones that came to mind) and rek just goes "why don't you take it back yourself" "idk where his base is" and then 1 hour and a half later, rek returns with the shulker box

- I feel like he'd leave a small present after fighting or killing someone. Like let's say rek killed zam. On the next day, there'd be a shulker box infront of zam's base with a "sorry for killing you, hope we're still friends" note and some diamonds/gapples. The only question zam has us "... how the fuck does he know my base is here????"

Omg adopting cat hybrid fyodor for the first time and since he has major trust issues he would hiss and scratch if you get near </3

🎻when you first bring him home he’s cold and very untrustworthy towards with you

🎻the first few weeks that you have him home he’s hiding, Everywhere.

🎻 when you first tried to find him you searched for hours before finally finding him. In the laundry room your clothes all over the floor torn to shreds

🎻 fyodor was standing there a smirk on his face. This was his plan after all cause a mess so you can get rid of him just like all the others.

🎻 you stood dumbfounded but not upset. Extremely confused yes but not a single ounce of anger

🎻 when fyodor realized his plan was not going in his favor. he panickes soon he realizes that he is indeed trapped

🎻you were standing by the doorway and his back was close to the wall he didn’t even think before he pushed you out of the way, his claws scratching you leaving a deep gash on your forearm

🎻 you fall on your ass. a hiss of pain leaving your lips as your hold your forearm blood seeping through your long sleeve shirt

🎻fyodor swung the door open so fast the hinges was almost torn off. He ran to your bedroom and hid in your closet

🎻 you slowly get up and rush to the bathroom. Opening the medicine cabinet and grabbing gauze and bandages you pull up your blood soaked sleeve and with a wet rag you start to clean the wound. The rag got most of the blood. As a precaution you wrap Gauze around withy he bandages

🎻 you decided to give Fyodor some time before seeking him out considering the last attempt. You sit down on the couch and flip though the channels

🎻 it was night when you finally decided to get up and search for him. You looked in your pantry and even the laundry room again before heading to your bedroom

🎻 you looked under your bed and the jointed bathroom before opening the closet door

🎻 fyodor near you would open it. His sensitive hearing heard your footsteps before you entered the room

🎻His eyes were dilated and he looked up liked a kicked animal. A sense of both fear and a unknown emotion was in his eyes

🎻You stared down at him, he had buried himself in the Corner. His dilated eyes bore right into your soul

🎻 you slowly bend down to his level and hold out your hand. Fyodor looked at you. his slight fear was gone replaced with something you couldn’t pin point

🎻the next thing he did surprised you, he hissed at you. A full blown hiss. you were so confused. Your face was a mix of surprise,hurt and confusion

🎻after this incident. It took weeks for fyodor to be in the same room but once he deemed that you were safe enough he would be closer to you

🎻 once he realized that you wouldn’t get rid of him like all his past owners do matter what he did.

🎻 fyodor became clingy and more possessive. After months of warming up he never leave your side.

Fyi I haven’t wrote in months so my writing skills are pretty rusty, also this was written with some help by my friend who requested this.

I’m trying to find a writing style so that’s why this writing is like half a story and half hcs

I got kinda lazy towards the end because I honestly didn’t know how I would finish this

For Grian and Gem, my idea was that the ocean is... not alive, but not exactly normal either. It speaks to them and it changes them. Here, have a doodle

I mean, Doc's skin is a creeper and it has goat horns. I'd say that's pretty canon

I love the soul sand headcanon! I like to think that soul fire burns hotter than regular fire, so using soul sand as fuel makes it easier for Tango to be in cold places

Arrax here; I want Vox's full out demon form to be some horrifying eldritch being, like...I dunno maybe Vox's form is Vox's electricity--omly his, his Cyan electricity that the city uses.

Like, Vox gets shot with an angelic bullet and he falls. Everyone thinks he's dead, and yest Vox's employees are still fighting. The Vox's screen lights up, as does every single screen in the surrounding area, and you hear this draconic, viscous snarl and using all 8 screens that are around him, fully demonic Vox breaks out, and he terrifies everyone.

oh, thats a very interesting concept!!. my favourite ever FULL full demon form of vox comes from RHTVS, where he has (technically...) two full demon forms, one as a giant white electricity beast and another being like this giant kaiju mecha

i have seen gorgeous depictions of voxs demon form such as a giant mecha-shark hybrid, but i like imagining him close to the devils from csm. (actually, this kind of correlates with your hc too)

something like a cross between the gun devil and the falling devil, where he's still somewhere "close" to an approximation of a human body (bc for some reason, vox just strikes me as the type of person to cling onto what human parts of himself he still has. might just be me tho), but built up of a mixture of mechanical wires, electricity, and the souls under his contracts. id imagine like the gun devil, many many many fucking television screens would be incorporated onto his body.

also, in the situation youve posed, i cant help but imagine a scenario where vox never told anyone about this form before, and everyone (even the vees!) truly thought he might be dead for a moment, the power around hells pride ring slowly flickering and crashing as his opponents revel in having taken down one of prides top overlords- before they start screaming. limbs start to burn from an overwhelming amount of static electricity in the air, a smell of ozone and burnt bits wafting through the streets of the entertainment district as vox reaches forward with arms constructed of pure electricity and strings of wiring, pulling forward until he stands up, form flickering with static and power. every broadcast flicks on, and the unfortunate sinners too weak to resist the pulls of their screen are pulled in toward him until he consumes them too, fueling him with only more ammunition for the fires.
