I also believe this happened as he was getting something and turned his back to her so she tried to get his attention. His ears immediately shoot up and his eyes open wide. Pretty!- You’re always saying this to your husband so she eventually just picks up on it. Also hears other people saying it about either you or Vil; not to mention you and Vil do occasionally call her “pretty girl”. So she’s just surrounded by the word so it's no shocker when it’s her first word. Vil just beamed at his daughter, truly feeling the sentiment. He almost left early after you told him over the phone. But he could be more proud of his kleiner engel.

Up!!- Now this is because this little Hunt loves being picked up, especially when her father is flying on his broom. They love the feeling of being high up and flying through the sky with her father. Rook is always open to giving his petit oiseau what they ask. When his little one said their first words he couldn’t help but outburst with joy. He couldn’t stop praising them for speaking, then when you came in or called out to him/your child, he began praising you for giving this wonderful child.

Play!!/Uh oh- Now 2 things to establish, 1. Ik “uh oh isn’t a word” but I’m just gonna have to count it and I will explain why 2. Why are there 2 different words, well if you read this fic here!!, you’ll learn that I believe Idia has twin boys therefore I wrote 2 different words. Now onto my explanation; for ‘play’ it just makes sense, sitting on his dad’s lap watching him play games that say and display the word ‘play’ on the title screen ofc that would be his kid’s first word it just makes sense. Now for your other twin boy this was his first “word” because whenever Idia gets frustrated on the game at a certain point he hears you say “uh oh”, meaning “Dad’s about to burst”. They also have learnt(bc they're a very smart child) that they can use this for other times when something is about to go wrong so they do say it when something might go wrong. he would let them down gently. he wouldn’t break up with someone for no reason, so if it was out of his control, he would by flowers and do it somewhere privet but with no real sentimental value to anyone. he’d cry doing it too. but like i said, unless they cheated of him, bby wouldn’t break up with anyone, ever. it probably meant he had a toxic high school relationship that one of his sisters had to get him out of because he didn’t want to make anyone upset :(

if he won an aus gp he would so take you out to dinner at his favorite place (he looks like the kinda guy to take you grilld at any and every opportunity) and propose to you at a park with ice cream afterwards. i think he would have no problem settling down. it’d give him some peace of mind that he always had someone in his corner to go home to after a bad race or stressful day.

he would treat you like glass, even if you could kill him with your bare hands, he’d still be so so so gentle with you. he’d always ask you how you’re feeling, and would tilt his head while listen to you talk about your emotions. the king of communication. 100%.

he loves hugs. i will not be elaborating. (especially if you lay on top of him, he loves it, it makes him feel so safe.)

depends on how long he’s known you. if you met as kids, he’d probably say it to you before you got together (in a platonic way.) but otherwise he’d wait until you said it to him.

he gets jelous so easlity, but he wouldn’t show it. if someone was flirting with you, he’d go all quite and moody as he holds your hand tighter or hugs your waist. he won’t outwardly do anything to anyone because he trusts you so much, he knows you would never do anything.

k- kisses (what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss you? where do they like to be kissed?)

he loves to kiss you. he would kiss your cheek then blush and run away. if you had tattoos, he would so kiss them. if you kissed him, anywhere, he would melt into a pile of goo and mark would have to stop him spacing out every five minutes for the rest of the day.

he loves children. did you see him with the grid kids at the aus gp? he didn’t look like he stepped on lego for once. if you had to baby sit a small child (between 4yo and 10yo) he is so coming with you. he’d probably enjoy the toys/shows you give to the kid than the actual kid.

if you had a whole day off, you would just never leave the bed. he’s be so cuddly and soft. if you try moving before 10 am he would complain that it’s too cold without you. then you’d make breakfast and eat on the balcony/porch together. until lando or logan comes over unannounced and insist that you all play a video game.

n- night (how are nights spent with them?)

so so so soft. he goes to bed a 7 pm on the dot every day. the golden light from the setting sun would be so cute. he’d look like a teddy bear. he’d also insist that he childhood toy would sleep with you guys.

he’d be so mysterious and would suddenly drop lore like he’s a dad or something. you wouldn’t know anything for months, then you suddenly know his favorite flower is a daisy and he once had to go the hospital because he ate a dandelion. then you have to wait months for any new information.

he is a saint. unless your lando, logan or fredrik, then he is perpetually annoyed at you. if you had a disability (both visible or invisible) he’d be so so patient with you if you were slower to get somewhere/do something/understand him. and if you spoke a different language, he’d learn it in secret so you could talk. he’d probably be more comfortable talking in your native language than in english, he gives me the vibes of “i don’t like speaking English to people i’m close to, it doesn’t feel special enough for them.”

he would remember every little detail you ever tell him ever. your favorite pen brand you mentioned as you walked though officeworks or your Favorite teacher from when you were 5. he will remember everything. until you ask him, then he forgets his own name.

when you brought him flowers for the first time when he was still in f3. you brought them for him when you went on your first in person date since covid started and he took them home and pressed them so he could put them in a frame and keep them forever. he’d set the photo of you two from that date as his wallpaper and would always show it to people like “look at my man :D”

he would wrap himself around you entirely when he wants to protect you but he also cried when he almost killed a spider so i don’t think he’d be capable of anything else.

he puts so much effort it making things special for you were ever he can but it’s all or nothing. it’s either pizza on the living room floor with a shitty film, or the most expensive wine he could find with a home cooked, three course meal on a balcony in Paris. he’d always make is special for you, but it depends on his mood and what he can do.

u- ugly (what would be some bad habits of theirs?)

he’d bite your fingers if you put them too close to his mouth. he’d get the overwhelming sense of love and would bite your fingers to keep your hands on him or at least close to him because he would cry otherwise. this wouldn’t be a problem for you if it weren't for the fact he has sharp teeth and a strong jaw.

he does not care. he does not give two fucks about how he looks. until it’s a fancy date, then he cares. he’d learn how to do eyeliner so he’d look extra good for you. (him in eyeliner, i’d pay money to see that)

absolutely. he would cry every night he couldn’t be with you or call/talk to/see you. he would take your clothes so he could feel even just a little but closer to you.

The Grabber as a dad

Al never imagined having kids but when he found out you were pregnant he seem to have a gender preference.

Though he lowkey was scared of having a girl because he felt he’d understand a boy better.

But he was also scared of having a boy because well, he worries about someone like him taking his boy away.

Ok he’s just scared in general. What if the kid doesn’t like him? What he hurts the kid? I mean, this a human life and thoughts and needs and emotions, is supposed to just not be scared?!

As I said in the first part of grabber headcanons it takes a lot of convincing to get to hold the baby once it’s born. However when you finally do, he never lets go.

If your breast feed he always wants to be there, just to get to spend more time with the baby and keep an eye on both of you. If you prefer he’s not there though he won’t fight you, he’ll give you the space you need. (He learned the heard way when he was trying to baby tf out of you while you were pregnant)

If you give the baby formula or any other method of feeding he always requests to be the one to do it.

Literally, if he didn’t have to work he would be a stay at home dad and he would be so happy and proud to be one he’d probably get a shirt made.

Unfortunately, he does work. He does it so he can provide and protect you and now your baby.

He’s the overprotective dad. Not so bad that he snoops through all your kids stuff and doesn’t let them have a life, he just wants to make sure they’re safe.

He 100% doesn’t let them go out alone or stay home alone until they’re like late teens. Even if they go out alone he has to know where they’ll be and who they’ll be with and about when they’ll be home.

It sounds like an interrogation when both him and the kid are having a bad day.

He tries to be nice about it though. He doesn’t want this information because he distrusts your kid, he wants it because he doesn’t trust people.

He knows just how ugly humans can be. He knows just how hurtful they can be. All he wants is for his family to be safe and happy.

If you ever brought up the possibility of another baby he’d be a little conflicted at first.

The first one wasn’t easy but what if this one was even harder? And doing that toddler phase again oh dear someone help him.

But after seeing your child happy or after seeing something cute they did or even if they say and rested their head on him, he would tell you that night in bed he wanted another baby.

So, now it’s up to you if you want another one or not.

He’d never force you and he wouldn’t be disappointed or upset if you didn’t want another child, he might be bummed for a small amount of time and then everything would be back to normal.

If you did want another child, he’s gonna be on you like a fly to a pile of shit.

I mean it. Whenever you two are alone, oh look at that it’s quickie time. At night when you get bed, oh wow it’s time again!

It’s not rushed though for the pure purpose of baby creation, that’s the goal yes but he listens to you. He’ll drag it out or slows it up depending on what you want. There’s still plenty of foreplay too, don’t worry.

With this second baby I think he isn’t the cliche of the parent being more lenient with the second child. He’s just as protective and caring with them as he is the first.

I feel like he’s really good at being fair to the kids as well. Regardless of age difference with your kids he doesn’t baby one or the other more.

He very much so does not have a favorite. He loves both of his kids and has never even thought about if he loved one more than the other. The idea seems preposterous to him.

I feel like by the time you have a second baby or could have had a second baby he completely trusts you. Like you could go outside and talk to the neighbors if you wanted too.

So if you wanted a job you could get one.

If you chose to get a job and it paid well enough to support the family he’s quitting his ASAP and making his dreams of being a stay at home dad come true.

Now all he talks about is getting a shirt made that says “proud stay at home dad”

Your kid(s) make him one or buy him one for Father’s Day but instead did “proud” it says “best”

He cries.

He cries more once you and him are in bed getting ready to sleep.

Literally he will not let go of it. That was essentially a core memory.

It is now his favorite shirt and he’ll wear it even if he gets a job again.

He will wear it to the job just to try and flex his kids on his coworkers

He’s super proud of his kids even if they’re mediocre🥰 (not that they are mediocre just saying, he literally thinks they’re perfect regardless)

Once again I say, an overall great dad. A bit overprotective and competitive with your kids but a caring father.

Kraaph/Sraaph Doodles +Rant

ok, first of all, remember the au I made with the two new alters? These Tendrils Run Deep? Do you remember that??

I sure do! And I’ve been neglecting them, the poor things!😢🥺

Soooo, I have some doodles to compensate! Just of Sraaph tho (the name is a combination of Savage, Krang, and Raph)

The next doodle has it’s left eye blank, similar to Savage’s—I just wanted to see how it looked

Ok, so from here I’m just going to ramble—

Basically Sraaph is a combination of Savage and the possessed Raph from the movie.

That means that it has a lot of issues relating to being left alone—it needs to be lead and for at least one family member to be close at all times—so abandonment issues like regular Raph and Savage.

other than that, Sraaph is quiet, and obedient while in a space it seems as ‘safe’ like the Lair.

outside though, it acts more like how it did in the movie: very violent, prone to bursts of anger, extremely protective of bale, yet also still obedient to it’s bale as well—if one of its brothers were to tell it to stop, it would stop.

honestly, I have ideas for a fanfic with Sraaph and the aftermath of the movie, but the concepts and ideas my mind are coming up with are way too dark and heavy, so I’ll need to tone it down. Not only that, but I would need to do character analysis’ on EVERYONE, which is going to be a hassle.

That is not including the fact I have work to do and that life exists, so it is not likely you’ll see a fic from me anytime soon. My biggest worry would be concerning the characters—I would constantly be wondering if I wrote them correctly, and that would just drive me insane if I didn’t have a beta reader.

I would also need to be confidant in my writing enough to release something; I do love writing, but 1) I only write original stories with my own characters and 2) I’ve never written a fanfic before 😅 Being me, I would also constantly compare my writing to those with great stories—like @debb987 and The Eldest Brother, among others. I know realistically that every skill requires practice and patience, but I am a very lazy and impatient person. Ok, so to summarize: I have an idea I want to write, but don’t have the time nor the patience to write it—at least, it wouldn’t come out anytime soon.

I am also more concerned with at least finishing/giving a satisfying end to Pools of Acceptance, as well as making art. I have many ideas for future projects and gifts to other creators on Tumblr, so look out for that! Too many ideas and too much work(which is honestly my fault because procrastination has me in a chokehold at all times)

on a lighter note, I just want to say thank you to all that like, comment, and reblog my posts! I hoped I would get support eventually, but I never thought it would come so fast, nor that there would be so many of you who liked my art! I’m just greatly appreciative that you all gave me a chance and decided to stay!! I now have more followers than I do posts and i will do something big to commemorate 100 followers! Yoongi: 3. NOW I WANT TO CLEAR SOMETHING UP, there was an interview back in the day where the boys talked about how many kids they wanted and everybody said Yoongi said he only wanted one but that was a mistranslation he said he wanted at least “one boy”. So in my imagination Yoongi ends up being a girl dad and has two girls first 🤭 and then he tries for one more and ends up with a boy ✨

Hoseok: 2 to 3. Now with Jhope I see him as a boy dad idk why but I feel his first would be a boy. And since he has a sister he would want his son to have a sibling and then the next baby would be a boy. Now I say two to three cause in my head I imagine Jhope wanting at least both a girl and a boy so when he ends up with just two boys I think his decision on another baby would be up-to the mother of his boys. If he did have another his youngest would obviously be a girl 🤭

Namjoon: 3. A boy and a girl as his first in that order is what I picture Namjoon with. And I know you’re asking so why the 3? Well i’m glad you asked because the answer is… ✨an oops baby✨ his last baby would be an oops baby 🤭 i am taking no counter arguments to this because it would happen to him and I’d bet my left toe on it 😭 so with Namjoon his oops baby would be a boy, idk why I see him having only one daughter but thats what i came up with lol

Jimin: 4. Jimin is one out of two of the members who is having a bit of a bigger family, to me in my head. For him I see him having and even number of both boys and girls but he has two girls first and two boys last. Now idk why but I can absolutely see Jimin having twins 🥺 specifically twin girls 🤭

Taehyung: 5. Now… we all knew this was the answer for this man lmfaoo but truly he’s gonna have the biggest family out of all the members. I see him having more girls than boys but his first child would be a boy and his last would be a girl; so overall three girls and two boys ✨

The line kept ringing as the tears kept flowing down her cheeks as she silently cried.

All she needed was to hear Eddie’s voice.

“Hello?” His voice says from the other end.

“Eddie…” She sniffles through his name, clinging to the spiral phone cord.

“Hey, what’s wrong? Are you crying?” His voice was quiet as he spoke, she could hear him shuffling around on the other end.

“My parents… they’re going at it again.” She sobs, wiping the tears from her eyes. “I just need you.”

Eddie’s heart clenched at that phrase, between her sobs and the sadness in her tone. Just as he was going to speak, he could hear Chrissy in the bathroom, getting ready for their date tonight. “I wish I could be there, baby. I just-.” He started.

She knew once he muffled the word “baby” that she was there. “She’s there isn’t she?” The pain more apparent in her voice.

“Y-yeah…” He sighs, lightly banging the back of his head against the wall he was pressed up against.

“What happened to you leaving her? Isn’t that what you promised me?”

“It’s more complicated than that.” Eddie starts, his own heart aching. “You know why I’m with her, and once I’m able to, I’ll go. It’s just not time yet.” He whispered into the phone.

More tears rolled down her cheeks and down her chin. “You’re never going to leave her, are you? It’s been 6 months Eddie. You promised me.” Her voice crumbles at the last sentence, followed by a broken sob.

He felt like an ass hole. Mostly because he was.

He was in love with 2 women, one of them for the wrong reasons… and she was the one that was in the next room.

The one that he was going to be making love to by the end of the night, but in reality, he wanted to be with the other.

Eddie was with Chrissy for all the wrong reasons, and he knew that. Her family was nice enough to help his band pay for time in a recording studio so they could record a demo. That had already been done months ago, but for some reason he didn’t have the heart to break it off with Chrissy even though he wanted to be with someone else.

Maybe it was the fact that he and Chrissy had shared trauma they talked about the first night they shared when she came over to his place for a stronger drug than weed. They ended up talking all night and from that night they were inseparable. Chrissy broke up with Jason the next day, and it took everyone at school by surprise that the cheerleader and the freak were an item.

But once Eddie met his other girl a few months later, he knew he was in trouble because he was head over heels in love with someone else.

He met her at a bar where she was a waitress the night he went out to celebrate graduating. They spent all night talking, even though she was supposed to be working.  

She took him home that night, and they hooked up all night.

Eddie fell for her right away, he had never felt this way about anyone.

They had the same taste in music, movies, and they were similar personality wise. The only thing that sucked was that she lived far from Hawkins; almost 2 hours away.

It was hard for either of them to see each other on a regular basis, but they did make it work.

Eddie told her he loved her way before he told Chrissy, and part of him felt bad about it. But he couldn’t help the way he felt. They had such a different connection than him and Chrissy.

Many nights that he and Chrissy were in bed together, he pictured his other girl. Flashbacks of their first night together were in his mind while he was with Chrissy, all he saw was someone else’s face. All he wanted was someone else.

One of the nights that Eddie and Chrissy went out on a date, she just so happened to be there, and she saw them together, Chrissy hanging off his arm.

Eddie knew she saw them together, and when he was able to slip away from Chrissy, he did and had to explain everything.

That night he promised to leave Chrissy for her, but here they were 6 months later.

As angry as Chrissy was that Eddie canceled their date in the midst of her getting ready, he was able to leave. It was a long drive to her place, but he knew he needed to be with her. He wanted to be with his other girl, rather than the girl that was just feet away.

She heard the rapid knocks at her window, and Eddie standing outside of her bedroom window. She practically ran to let him in, waiting for him to climb in.

He didn’t even get a word in before she wrapped her arms around his waist for a hug.  “I’m sorry baby.” He whispers in her ear.

She shakes her head, sniffling against his chest. “It’s okay. I just need you.”  

“I’m right here.”

She quickly stretches up on her toes and presses a kiss to his lips, knowing that his body could take away the pain that she was feeling in her heart.

It was quick after they had kissed that they ended up on her bed; lips, hands, and clothes everywhere.

“Eddie, fuck.” She whimpers in his ear as she was coming down from her second orgasm in less than 10 minutes.

Eddie was painfully hard next to her, pressing kisses to her neck. Just hearing her voice was enough to make him rock hard. “Again, say my name again.” He whispers in her ear, going back in with his fingers to play with her just to hear her whimper his name again.

A moan, that neither of them can believe came out of her, fills her room. Her head rolls to the side as she gasps loudly. “E-Eddie! Baby, I can’t again! Eds please.” She begs, trying to run from his touch.

Eddie kisses her mouth hungrily, his other hand gripping her face. “I love you. I love you so much.”

“I love you, Eddie.”

“It’s you, you know that? It’s always going to be you, angel. Only want you.” Eddie continues to whisper in her ear, desperate for her.

They laid in bed together afterwards, her telling him about the fight her mom and dad were having that night, telling him about all the glass she could hear breaking, all the words they were throwing at each other.

“I don’t want to be around them anymore. I want to get as far away from here as possible.” She sniffles.

“One day. I promise.” Eddie says softly, playing with her fingers.

“There’s still another promise you need to keep.” She says, flipping to her stomach to look at him.

Eddie sighs heavily, reaching into his jacket pocket for his carton of cigarettes and his lighter.

She gets up to give him the ashtray at her bedside table, laying it next to him on the bed.

“I will. It’s just…”

“Do you love her like you love me?” She asks as he trails off with his sentence.

Eddie felt a knot in his stomach at the question, mostly because of the answer. “No, baby.”

“Then why is it so hard? That night, you were the one that said you were going to break up with her because it was a one sided relationship. You said you wanted me. But here I am being the other woman.”

Eddie took a puff from the cigarette, holding the smoke in for a few seconds before he exhaled. “It’s hard because I don’t want to hurt her feelings, okay. I might not love her, but I care about her. I need to find the right time.”

“Eddie, I’m not going to wait forever.” She admits, looking him dead in the eye. “What if Chrissy picks up the phone up one of the times I call and hears me on the phone?” She spits angrily. “I don’t want to fight with you, Eddie. But I need you to know that this can’t last if it’s going to be a secret. What if she finds out?”

Eddie places the half smoked cigarettes in the ashtray, and takes his favorite ring off his pointer finger, sliding it onto her much smaller finger. “This is my promise, that I will end things with Chrissy, and it’ll just be you and I. I’m not going to keep you a secret, I promise.”

“Please. I want to be with you, only you. But I need to be the only one in your life. My father always had other women, I don’t want to be ‘the other woman’.”

Eddie kisses the back of her hand, stroking her knuckles. “You won’t. I promise.”

It had been 2 months since Eddie had ended things with Chrissy, and it was harder than he thought it was going to be.

He thought that he was only with Chrissy for the money for the band’s demo, but now that she wasn’t around anymore, he missed her. Her cute little smile, her laugh, her presence. He wasn’t expecting to miss her as much as he did.

Eddie was strumming on his guitar on the couch while his girl was making them dinner. He had a clear view of her, and part of him pictured Chrissy being there instead. He couldn’t understand why he was feeling this way when he was with the girl he wanted. He watched with soft eyes as she walked around the kitchen, stirring the contents of the pot on the stove as she hummed along to the song Eddie was playing.

It’s not that he didn’t love her, he did. But for some reason, he secretly wished that Chrissy was here with him.

“Eddie?” Her voice taking him out of his mind. “Are you ready to eat?” She asks with a sweet smile.

He puts his guitar down on the couch and gets up. Once he makes it over to the kitchen he presses a kiss to her temple, wrapping his arm around her waist. “I love you.”

“I love you too, baby.” She smiles up at him, stretching up to kiss his lips.

He does love her.

You're 100% correct about the vibes. 🤣🤣 I don't like Apollonia at all, whatsoever and it's because the Godfather fandom completely ruined her character for me. 🥰

It's not just the new Godfather enjoyers, like gen z or millennials but also the boomers. Apollonia is sadly a vessel for misogyny in the Godfather from Apollonia stans alone. I can't look past it even if I tried; I get Apollonia stans commenting nasty shit on my gifsets of Kay (that's how annoying + bothered they are) and trying to start discourse over any post that highlights a miniscule positive thing about Kay Adams.

It's disgusting to see how Apollonia is glorified for being the quiet, submissive and obedient housewife. She's what Michael "needs" and is the "perfect wife" and the ones that put Apollonia on a pedestal like this are misogynists, vehemently sprout the nastiest shit about Kay and women like Kay that you'll ever hear, talk about how Apollonia could have "changed" and "fixed" Michael (dude is beyond redemption and is almost a sociopath) and could have birthed him "lots of babies". Putting aside the misogynistic culture some Godfather fans have placed upon Apollonia here, I don't like the character itself. To me, it's obvious she was a filler, empty character Mario Puzo wrote and used to develop Michael's character development because she's literally never mentioned again unless you want to count Michael confessing to Kay he "slept with someone" in the book while he was abroad.

Apollonia was never in love with Michael and Michael wasn't in love with her. Apollonia's father got giddy at the idea of his daughter's beauty bringing in a rich, powerful and influential man who was the son of a Vito Corleone. Nobody cared what else Michael had to offer the Vitelli family besides reputation, wealth and physical protection. Nothing even mentions if anyone cared how Michael would treat Apollonia but oh boy, Michael showed it well. He literally refused to let her leave home for a week and all he did was have sex with her over and over again. And every single time, Apollonia would just get up, shower, fuck off and do something and Michael would just lay there. She would just do whatever he wanted and yet somehow, the Godfather fandom is screaming "true love" and "soulmate" when it's literally just Michael being horny. I need y'all to understand this man was thinking with his dick only.

I don't care who likes/stans Apollonia, all I want is for people to be respectful about the whole Apollonia and Kay thing. If Apollonia's as amazing as some people claim, then I'd sure hope she can brought up without the mention of Michael being in a relationship with her and without dissing Kay in the same sentence (IMPOSSIBLE CHALLENGE EDITION).

hi! i just finished distraction in the hunters universe and just started arcove’s bright side - i’m super enjoying them so far! i did have a bit of a question when it comes to the worldbuilding if that’s all right to ask? do the creasia have a taboo against incest, or does it not matter after a certain point of relation? i’m curious if only because carmine and wisteria are both related through arcove (arcove being his son and wisteria his granddaughter) and attention is drawn to that in the narrative, in terms of how much they both look like and take after arcove. is this sort of thing generally accepted in creasia society, or is it given a pass since they’re both higher-ranking? i’m not asking to be a weird freak or anything, it just kind of hit me as a “oh right that’s a little odd” when i realized fully, haha. genuinely just curious - but also feel 100% free to delete this if that’s not something you’d want to discuss on your tumblr blog, i get that it’s kind of A Bummer by nature. again, super genuinely enjoying the books, i really love your prose and how the world feels so deeply lived in and real and how textured every character is, even the minor ones. wisteria is also an absolute icon with her two boyfriends, god bless her lmao

I examine the potential for inbreeding depression, not just in creasia, but also in ferryshaft and other species on Lidian. I talk about the (highly bisexual) biology of real lions, the ways in which I modeled creasia on them, and the ways in which I made creasia different. In answer to your question, real lions have no inbreeding taboo. Ruling males don't usually hold a pride long enough to mate with their adult daughters. Teenaged males have a strong instinct to roam once they hit puberty. They travel far from their natal prides and seek to take over a distant pride. Females stay with their natal pride. That's how real lions avoid inbreeding. If young males are prevented from roaming (by habitat fragmentation), they may end up taking over a pride with relatives and will mate with them. I have given my creasia some degree of incest taboo, partially because I think it's too difficult for humans to relate to them otherwise and partially because I think it's a useful trait to have evolved, what with their limited range and food supply. They have an incest taboo that applies to siblings and parents, possibly great-grand parents. Those would be the most generically dangerous pairings. However, their are many other types of relatedness that humans recognize that creasia do not. In addition, creasia generations run into each other in ways that could not happen in human beings. Human women enter menopause right about the time that their daughters hit puberty. In creasia, mothers and daughters will have babies at the same time, perhaps for decades. Creasia are teenagers capable of reproduction at 4, young adults at 6, and fully adult by 8-10. Historically, most alpha males have died in fights by their 20's or 30's, while females and unambitious clutter males have sometimes lived into their 60's. This allows plenty of time for generations to run into each other. Now they're living even longer because they're becoming less violent. In this milieu, you would see generational pairings that would seem strange and impossible to human beings. Carmine is Wisteria's half uncle on her father's side and her great-half uncle on his mother's side. It really is a pretty twisty family tree. FYI, Wisteria has 2 kings in her ancestry. Ketch was Caraca's father. Creasia would not regard this as a close familial relationship or any form of incest. Indeed, it's unlikely to cause their cubs any problems. Arcove has been a very successful male creasia, which means his genes are going to be dominant in the population for quite a while. Halvery even more so (lol). In real lions, nearly all the females will contribute genetically to the population, but not so the males. A tiny percentage of the most successful males will sire all the cubs. So you have this same effect. Any deleterious genes lurking in those successful males could have outsized effects on the population, unfortunately. But real lions seems to weather this just fine.
