#i have a lot of feelings about this elsa looking man

Note
Silly little request but how do you think LKB would dress like casually? Like once every blue moon they have a day off and ding need to wear their uniforms? Can you do this in bullet points?
Them not in their uniforms is such a normal concept but it seems so weird for them if you know what I mean. Like, wdym they don’t wear those outfits to sleep? Also this is probably shorter than other posts because it’s about outfits, yk?
Bi-Han
Black. Moving on-
On some real shit though, I feel like this man’s entire wardrobe is in greyscale
Someone’s like “hey there’s this event coming up! Can you wear a blue shirt?”
You’d think he’d have blue but nope. Nothing but blacks and greys and maybe a white in there
I saw a post of biker Bi-Han and I definitely see it now
Idk if the pictures imma attach at the end are really biker tho so that’s why I’m saying mainly blacks
Like Elsa, the cold doesn’t bother him anyway so jackets aren’t really a thing he has to wear. He kinda just does because it makes the outfit look better
That’s all the brain power he puts into it though because this man doesn’t care about his wardrobe at all
He cares enough to not look sloppy but he doesn’t care about piecing shit together or brands and designer. If you look closely you can see he’s wearing the same shirt he was wearing yesterday
He wears black because he’s still thinking like an assassin. The whole “I shouldn’t be noticeable” thing
Which is wild when you think about how he’s definitely noticeable in that blue outfit but idk
He also wears black because… he doesn’t know
He checked his closet and realized that shit looked like a black void but refuses to actually wear more color
I don’t see him accessorizing much either. He only carries stuff he can fit in his pockets
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kuai Liang
Lazy
Bi-Han adds a jacket for a bit of razzle dazzle but Kuai Liang doesn’t
In all fairness, he gets hot easily (this is stereotypical but idc) so a jacket isn’t gonna work
He wears the most basic t shirts and pants
Like he legit got the same white shirt 50 times
The shit is despicable
I don’t think he adds many accessories either. He probably doesn’t carry much on him
Long sleeves never really happen either
Honestly I don’t think of any them dress with any special aesthetic in mind
But him? Extra lazy
I am being so serious when I say he buys the same clothes over and over again. He forgets he has a white t shirt in his closet so he buys another and the cycle repeats
Probably doesn’t care as much because what are the chances he’ll be out of uniform?
You know how people say men's outfits are so boring? He’s the main example they use because there’s no personality with his shit
I don’t see him doing much on his off days though so that’s probably why he just throws something on
He’s just getting dressed to go grocery shopping
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tomas Vrbada
The one with the most style
Which isn’t saying a lot
Wears multiple layers
Why do I think this way? Idk. But if I said they all dress the same, it’d be boring so here we are
He probably has a normal type of body heat since he’s not a pyromancer or cryomancer so he’s wearing hoodies and jackets because he’s genuinely cold
He accidentally has style
Wearing a hoodie and jacket is stylish to people for whatever reason. He doesn’t get it but he’s like “yeah, I definitely have fashion sense. It’s definitely not because I’m cold all the time. That just doesn’t sound like me”
May accessorize a bit but not as much
As a whole I think accessories can become heavy and get in the way and our boys gotta be ready to bust a move if something pops off. Just because they’re off duty doesn’t mean they’re not paying attention or in danger
So that’s why our boys travel light
He has those smoke bombs and shit so he might have a little pouch with him but I don’t think he’d carry a backpack. Goes back to being too heavy
If something can’t fit in a pouch, it’s staying home
Dresses in neutral colors. I don’t think any of them are necessarily into bright colors
Doesn’t have the same exact clothes but wears them the same exact way. His outfits look like a skin variation
He’s doing his best
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember all I do for you because imagining them in normal clothes fucked me up more than I’d like to admit

you had been welcome by a hostess who offered you a cold champagne flute. the busy atmosphere made it hard for you to spot your acquaintances, but luckily, you could see max and charles across the room. the monegasque was listening attentively to the dutchman, who was explaining something to him (very) passionately.
the notification sounds of your phone caught your attention. your sister jolie, who you had been trying to find, was texting you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
léa had always been complicated and you were sure that if it had been anyone else, things would have been a lot easier. it all started when you told her you were leaving monaco to study abroad. you had handled it privately and you did not tell her about your plans until everything was already decided. léa wanted you to be by her side and she did not take well the news. she started acting cold, not responding to your texts in days and she wouldn't answer your calls. somehow she had made you feel like you had betrayed her. and when you left, you decided to leave this friendship behind.
almost two years later, you had been told that léa was dating your ex-boyfriend, which caught you by surprise. she had never shown interest in charles, not in that way at least. she had been friendly with him while you were dating, but they never were close. not that you knew.
"hey, y/n". you heard someone call your name from behind. "you look gorgeous".
you turned around, knowing it was max just by the sound of his voice. he was wearing a black suit that fitted him perfectly. he looked handsome, more than how he usually did.
"hi max". you said smiling at him.
"i saw you standing here alone and i was wondering if you wanted to join us". he said and pointed at charles and lando, who had recently joined the conversation.
"yes, i'd love to". you replied. max put out his hand to you and you took it as he guided you to where your friends were. "i think we're seated together. for the dinner, i mean".
"yeah, arthur sent charles a picture of the seating chart". he explained and you chuckled. arthur and jolie were truly made for each other. "you know you can count on me if you want to run away again".
"is it too soon now?". you asked and he laughed.
"yeah, i think we're gonna have to wait a bit".
· · · · ·
the dinner went surprisingly well. max, who sat next to you, kept the conversation going, making sure he included you so you wouldn't feel left out. jolie and arthur joined him, explaining childhood memories you shared. lando listened to the three of them and actively participated in it. it was obvious that léa and charles felt the most uncomfortable. for the whole dinner, léa tried to pretend like you didn't exist, never looking at you or engaging when the conversation revolved around you and speaking directly to charles instead. the monegasque, on the other hand, listened to his friends, but kept checking on his girlfriend. if you could only talk to léa and solve this, but it wouldn't be that easy.
· · · · ·
save your tears by the weeknd was playing, drink in hand, you danced to the beat. the alcohol had started to have its effect on you, clouding your mind and helping you loosen up. from the dance floor, you could see charles and léa who were outside talking.
"they've been arguing for like an hour". arthur said from behind and you turned around to face him. "i don't get them".
"what do you mean?". you asked.
"i don't think charles is in love with her, at least from what i've seen". he explained. "you know, i can't help but compare it to how he acted when you were dating. look, i know it's not the same, since he's not a teenager anymore, but- i don't know, he just looks uninterested".
"arthur, y/n!". you heard lando call out. "come here! shoots!".
max, lando, carlos, alex and jolie waited for you, shoot in hand, to join them. a few shoots after, laughter and chatter filled the atmosphere. alex and lando danced to the music, attracting the attention from all of the group. max had moved to by your side to let his friends dance comfortably.
"you should go join them". you said and max smiled at you. god, he was so attractive when he smiled.
"only if you do too". he replied. you guessed he thought you wouldn't want to join them, but he was wrong, you craved a bit of chaos.
"right, let's go!".
you grabbed his right hand and brought him closer to his friends. his left hand found its way to the end of your back as you pulled him closer to you. you could tell dancing wasn't his thing, but he loosened up as he moved his body with yours. you could feel his breath on your neck and it gave you goosebumps, but you could also feel the stares of the attendees looking at the two of you.
"everyone's starring". you pointed out.
"let them". he whispered in your ear.
you chuckled at his words, trying to hide the real effect these had on you. he spun you around and held you closer. his masculine cologne filled your lungs and your heart started racing. you would've stayed a long time in his arms, but you saw charles storm into the room and you separated from max. charles came directly towards you.
"i'm leaving". charles announced, without giving any explanations.
"hey, charles!". you said to stop him from moving. "and léa?".
"honestly, i don't care". he replied, shrugging his shoulders. "good night, y/n. max, take care of her".
charles left the event in a rush, without saying goodbye to his acquaintances. he was angry, you could tell, otherwise he would have never acted like that with his girlfriend, and that worried you. you couldn't understand what was going on.
"i think i'm gonna find léa". you told max. "i can't stay here without knowing if she's alright".
"i'll go too".
you searched every single room of the building, from the bathrooms to the staff only rooms, and, ten minutes after, you spotted léa. she was sitting in the cold on the staircase of the back the building. her head rested on her knees and her arms hugged her legs. you looked at max, who replicated your worried face expression, and came closer to her.
"léa, hey, are you okay?". you asked crouching down to face her. max, who had been holding your hand for the whole time, didn't let go of it.
"don't". she said. her eyes were teary and her face red. you could tell she had been crying. "everything was fine and you came and wrecked it all. you should leave monaco again".
those words struck through you like a knife and froze you in place. you didn't understand what was the reason behind her words, but you didn't have the courage to ask. max pulled your arm softly, helping you stand up again.
"let's leave, y/n". max said. "don't waste your time".

for the kiss prompts - a playful kiss to make the other stop rambling + geraskier, pretty please 🥺
Jaskier has never been one to suffer stage fright. Since the first time he gave an impromptu performance at one of his parents’ banquets at the age of seven, he’s soaked up the spotlight at any chance he can get. There’s nothing he delights in more than having a crowded tavern or ballroom watching him with starry eyes, hanging onto his every word. He knows he’s good at what he does, a far cry from the boy who used to get bread pelted at his head while he sang about hags and abortions.
Except that as he stands behind the stage at the Oxenfurt Music Festival, listening to a pair of Nazairi troubadours sing a lovely duet, his insides roil with the same queasy nervousness he’s carried with him all day. He glances over at Geralt to make sure the witcher doesn’t notice. Geralt is leaning against the wall, looking remarkably stoic for a man who has been dragged to a music festival entirely against his will.
Jaskier can’t let him know how nervous he is, not when Geralt took on two wyverns singlehandedly only three days ago. The fact that Jaskier, who has been a traveling bard for years, who has faced far scarier things than a crowd of onlookers (usually while cowering behind Geralt, but his point stands) has stage fright is too mortifying to admit. Luckily, Jaskier is excellent at keeping his feelings under wraps after years of traveling with his witcher. He’s sure Geralt has no idea.
“You’re nervous,” Geralt says.
Fuckity fuck.
“Nervous?” Jaskier breaks off in a monologue about how he lost the Student Bardic Competition to Valdo Marx his final year due to trickery and biased judging. “I’m not nervous! Merely excited to claim yet another in my long list of accolades.”
“You stink of anxiety.”
Jaskier just manages to resist the urge to sniff himself. “Why, thank you, Geralt. How kind of you to say. And here I thought you liked this new perfume.”
Geralt just stares at him, unimpressed.
Jaskier sighs. “I seem to have come down with the tiniest case of stage fright.”
“Stage fright?” Geralt arches an eyebrow. “But you perform all the time.”
“Not at places like this.” Jaskier waves his hand in the direction of the stage.
“You just told me in detail about all seven times you performed here before. You said you won five times.”
“And it would have been all seven, if Valdo Marx weren’t a cad and a cheat.” Jaskier puffs up in remembered outrage. “But that was the Student Bardic Festival. Everyone expects the acts there to be a little bit shit. Melitele help them, but my classmates didn’t give me much of a run for their money, save for Valdo and Essi. This is the first time I’ve performed in a professional competition.”
“And that’s why you’re nervous.”
“Yes!” Jaskier throws up his hands in exasperation. “I know this isn’t a wyvern or an angry mob, but I don’t want to make a fool of myself in front of thousands of people!”
Geralt gets an expression on his face like he’s valiantly refraining from pointing out that Jaskier doesn’t normally care about making a fool of himself. “You perform all the time.”
“For drunks in taverns who won’t notice if I make a bunk of the pronunciation of an elven ballad or courtiers who wouldn’t know a wrong note if it hit them in the face. Many of these people are trained musicians themselves who have come from all over the Continent to be here today. I have to be perfect.”
“Then be perfect.”
“Geralt.” Jaskier moans and slaps his hands over his eyes. “Have you ever heard of Elsa Svensen?”
“You know I haven’t.”
“Of course you haven’t! She was a cautionary tale when I was at Oxenfurt, a rising star in the bardic circuit until she tried to sing The Six Swans at the Lan Exeter Bardic Festival.” At the blank look on his witcher’s face, Jaskier elaborates. “It’s a famously difficult ballad in Elder. Very long, lots of tricky notes. She butchered it so badly that she was laughed off stage! Suffice to say, there was an unfortunate mispronunciation and she sang a line about the hero committing unspeakable acts with a donkey in front of the entirety of Lan Exeter, including the king and queen. It ended her career. Rumor has it that she changed her name and is now working as a traveling player.”
Geralt doesn’t look suitably horrified, in Jaskier’s opinion.
“A traveling player, Geralt!” Jaskier practically shrieks, which isn’t good for his voice, but he can’t stop himself. “I can’t act! There isn’t a single troupe of traveling players that would have me. I’ll starve. Gods, I should never have let Essi talk me into this. I’m too young to live in disgrace. Can you go out there and tell them that a horrible tragedy has befallen me and an evil witch has stolen my voice? Ooh, yes, say I’ve ruined her for all other men and this is my punishment. Do you think we can find an actual witch in—”
He doesn’t realize Geralt is approaching him until the witcher presses a brief kiss to his lips.
Jaskier blinks, surprised. Geralt isn’t one for displays of affection where anyone else might see. “What are you—”
Geralt kisses him again. Jaskier can feel the curl of his lips.
“Geralt, this is—”
Another kiss, this one accompanied by Geralt nipping at his lower lip.
“Geralt,” Jaskier says through another kiss. “Are you trying to distract me?”
“Trying to shut you up.”
“How dare—”
Geralt kisses him again. “You were working yourself up.”
Jaskier opens his mouth to protest, then realizes he was just plotting to find an actual witch to steal his voice in order to get out of a performance. Perhaps Geralt has a point. “Right.”
“You know Elder too well to accidentally sing about donkeys. And if you do manage to fuck up so badly that you ruin your career, I won’t let you starve.”
Jaskier melts into him. “Geralt, that’s the sweetest—”
“Because you’re right, you’d be a shit traveling player.” Geralt’s lips quirk.
“You—”
Geralt kisses him again, slow and sweet, and Jaskier feels the last bit of tension drain out of him.
“Jaskier the Bard!” a woman’s voice calls from the stage. “Also known as the Dandelion!”
“That’s you.” Geralt pushes him towards the stage. “You’ll do great, Jask.”
Jaskier can’t help but smile at him. “How can I not, after a sweet pep talk like that?”
“Hm. Probably not as great as Valdo Marx did earlier.” A full-on smile spreads over Geralt’s face at Jaskier’s outrage. “But we’ll see.”
And just for that, Jaskier gives the best damn performance of his life. Which is probably what Geralt intended, the terrible man.

plot: Disney movies…but you guys are the mc and love interest; fluff!
reader: fem! Reader, Black! Fem! In nanami’s part
characters: gojo (x elsa reader), yuji (x rapunzel reader), yuuta (x belle Reader), nanami (x tiana reader)
warnings: just me and my weird ass mind, mention of killings
(a/n): THIS IS HOW THE JJK FANDOM COPES WITH SHIBUYA. Some of these apply to the princess canon storyline, some of these do not 👍
Tumblr media
✰GOJO
I kinda see a enemies to lovers with him tbh
like he would be so mad that he can’t make snow
and you would be mad that he has infinity so you can’t attack him
basically you n him met bc he was sent to your ice castle to attack you cuz you were causing arendelle a lot of problems… and the village was really mad at you so they called the higher ups to send gojo over
and gojo was shopping and everything in arendelle ☠️☠️ and he met a lotta children there so he asked them if they were close with you and they replied yeah so he told them what you’d done and the children were like “no!!, (name) would never do that :((“ and that made him guilty for slacking off so off he went!
he’s not too worried about you so he walked up the mountain, he didn’t wanna teleport cuz he just wanted to take the longest time possible (he’s mean that way)
Gojo also meets Olaf on the way and they have the STUPIDIEST CONVOS EVER.
anws he pulls up to see your castle and he’s like “woah who’s sweet crib danggg”
and then he breaks down the ice door with red
and then he screams “where the baddies at?”
you rush out to see a weird ass man holding Olaf in his hands
so you’re pretty sure this man has kidnapped Olaf
you shoot icicles at him, he dodges
and this continues for an hour or so, until you’re tired so you just ask him to leave
but then he’s like “teach me to make ice girl”
and you (try) to teach him, but you just wanted to make him look stupid and you just laugh at him
gojos heart skips a beat when you laugh…IS THIS A CRUSH??!!!!!! 🐺‼️‼️🤐🗣️🗣️
you guys sit down and talk a lil
and he learns that you were treated as a prodigy as a child and he’s like “girl…me too!!!!”
you two really connect…and then Gojo remembers why he’s here ☠️
he explains the whole “everlasting snow” thig and you feel super guilty
so he teleports with you… as he holds you in his hands bridal style 🤫
you both arrive and the snow has cleared due to “Gojo healing a broken heart 🥺🥺🥺” corny!!!! You two get married Happy Ending
✰YUJI
you guys would be sunshine x sunshine ☹️☹️
ITS SO ADORABLE
Anws y’all met when yuji was like bored after a mission and wandering around the forest where the mission happened
then he feels a HUGE amount of cursed energy behind some vines
he then goes through them to find you tower and he’s awestruck cuz the cursed energy is OVERFLOWING.
and basically he tries to run up the tower??? But he can’t he’s so stupid n silly
and you hear this goofy mf trying and you thought it was mother gothel so you let you hair down
and YOU KNOW WHAT HE DOES????
HE PUTS IT IN HIS MOUTH. AND HE LICKS IT.
you’re extremely grossed out…but eventually he finds out that “oh wait I have to climb the hair”
so then he goes up and he’s knocked out by a pan 😭
he wakes up to find himself tied in hair and he tries to punch though the hair or cut it but it’s too tight
you interrogate him and he explains that he just felt a lotta cursed energy and he thought it was a monster, he then asks if it was because of your stress or sth
you admit that you were under a lot of pressure due to mother gothel always locking you in
he sees a couple curses spawning from this and he points this out, saying that you could just leave if you wanted to
But you say that it’s your mom and he replies with “family wouldn’t control you like that”
man’s then you do the scene where he promises to take you to see the lights blah blah blah
and he acts the boat scene 🥺 ITS SO CUTE
it was at that moment when he realized he’d fallen for u
✰YUUTA
I think that yuuta is kinda like the beast cuz he’s got Rika right? And he’s actually just a nice lil guy BEHIND the monster
anyways when you stumbled upon his lil castle and oooo Rika was REAL mad
she literally k!lls everyone who gets close to “her prince”
which causes yuuta to isolate him from the world cuz he doesn’t want to hurt anyone anymore
but that just caused Rika to get stronger due to his depressive state
anws Rika kidnapped your dad cuz he plucked one of the roses in yuutas garden
and you are here to save him!!!!
you and yuuta communicate through Rika cuz she doesn’t want you “to fall for him”
and she only lets you stay cuz yuuta commanded her not to hurt you and she then tells yuuta about kidnapping your dad
so he asks you to stay to “heal his heart” and he’ll let your dad go
and you agree. For your dear ol pa
you”re exploring the palace and you see a garden with a rose in it and you try to touch it but oh looky here! Rika tries to kill you again for touching it!
you learn from the pots and pans that yuuta’s room is right across yours so you slip letters under his door day and night
and slowly he starts getting better and he passes notes with you as the days go by (Rika doesn’t know ofc. Or she’d be PISSED.)
BUT THEN YOUR DEAR OL PA BRINGS THE WHOLE VILLAGE WITH HIM TO KILL YUUTA 😡😡
and then Rika goes all ape shit and tries to kill everyone from the village
and then yuuta comes out of his room to stop her
and then he kisses you and Rika vanishes :3 yay
happily ever after
✰NANAMI
I like this ship actually
nanami’s abroad to exorcise cursed spirits and he meets YOU. At a restaurant as a waitress
and he doesn’t think of ya much at first but your charming smile and dimples… MAN HES WHIPPED. (I am too) 🤧🤧
and you’re really nice too cuz you are a really good cook and you wanna serve him some of your own recipes in secret (cuz your boss would flip)
and he THINKS ITS SO GOOD!!!!! He actually wants more but he’s a lil shy
anyways you two meet again…but this time nanami’s a frog. He wasn’t careful enough and got turned into one by a cursed technique
and he’s frantic, asking you to kiss him cuz he thought that he could just be kissed by a random person and turn back…and then you turn into a frog :)
he has to get kissed by a princess btw
and you two find mama odie and act out your lil love story as frogs <3 and you stay like that forever
jk, you turn back to human as he kisses you at midnight
and you get to have your own restaurant and he’s so supportive of you!!!!!
But you sometimes overwork yourself a little and he doesn’t want that (even though he sometimes does it too) so you two try to spend more of your time together and it works!
he actually quits the jujutsu world cuz of you. he doesn’t want to get hurt and to see you get sad 😭

TBP characters x somehow famous reader ? ( It's up to you how ) thank you for reading my request 👍
so I wasn't sure whether or not you wanted the cast or the characters themselves, so I just went with cast because it made more sense.
If you wanted characters I can redo it! 💗💗 (this looks way longer than it actually is btw)
Mason
he definitely stalks you
like not in a creepy way, he's just always on your social platforms, literally waiting for you to post.
he's totally your biggest fan, and will literally attempt to fight all of your haters.
Before your relationship, I feel like he was very nervous to talk to you.
Like if you two were ever at a screening together, or a fancy event back when TBP was popular, this man would legit stare you down from across the room. Then proceed to duck under a table if you catch him staring.
But during your relationship he would be way more relaxed and confident.
He would be chill about pda and taking you on dates in public, but your fanbase would be doing cartwheels, cause everybody ships yall.
Miguel
He's so obvious about his crush on you that it's hilarious.
If you seen those lives where he's just reading comments, then one mentions your name. He's gonna ramble on about you for the rest of the live.
WILL NOT SHUT UP ABOUT YOU, and his friends are tired of it tbh.
bro literally forgets he's famous too and turns into the ultimate fangirl.
But during your relationship he's so sweet.
Always wanting to hangout with you, taking you out in public almost every day.
If yall ever broke up, yalls fans would explode.
They be acting like yalls children with how lovey dovey yall are.
Brady
I feel like he'd try to hide it.
Like he's not in denial, but he don't want nobody knowing about his crush on you.
"conceal, don't let it feel" he's literally elsa.
He kinda keeps to himself around you, in public and all that.
He wouldn't want to overwhelm you, especially with how the media reacts when two popular human beings get together.
So you'd def have to approach him and ask for a date.
During your relationship, he would thaw the ice a bit.
You'd have to reassure him of your relationship a lot.
He just wants you to be comfortable. Lazy nights at home, introverted hangouts, cooking together.
Pretty chill.
Tristan
literally the opposite of brady.
IS YOUR BIGGEST FAN AND DOESN'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT.
He's definitely trying to rizz you up at a fancy event, and you're just like 😐
Like whispering random shit in your ear, trying to make you blush, posing with you at every opportunity.
Kinda annoying tbh
But if you give him a chance he'll tone it down. He'll start be more genuine and less flirty.
Taking you out to dinner, not wanting to take pictures with fangirls even though you scold him for being rude.
def starts arguments with you for fun. Starting light hearted arguments with you for fun.
this mf is still annoying.
but overall very cute.
Jacob
He's honestly pretty chill about you.
He just casually approaches you strikes up conversation.
In the middle of an interview? "These lights are bright, am I right y/n?" Talking with a fan? "Y/n, don't you have that same shirt?" Signing an autograph? "Do you think aliens are real?"
like shut up 😭
He really just enjoys talking to you, hearing your voice is the highlight of his day.
Yall would ease into a comfortable friendship before he ask you out.
From there on its late night ft calls, stealing each other's clothes, and going on casual excursions.
def the easiest to date.
Madeleine
She's so funny.
Either confesses right off the bat, or confirms you're hers after yall lock eyes.
kinda reminds me of that one audio, YOU ARE MINE, YOU ARE MINE.
Yall could be talking about pregnant hyenas, and she'll randomly be like, "I love you".
like girl what?
During your relationship she would be super cute.
Yall always out together. You can never catch her inside for more than 10 minutes.
Mason be feeling like a third wheel every time yall three are in the same room.
Yall just in the corner flirting and mason's just sitting there like 😐.
def your hype girl, yall always turning up.
srry, this was so long 💗💗

Dark!Elsa x fem Reader
Chapter 2
The wind blew relentlessly, making you clutch the cloak around your body even tighter in fear of it flying off and leaving you with nothing to protect yourself from the ongoing blizzard. The white coat of snow has already reached your knees, and in few hours, people might start getting burried alive. This is what became of Arendelle. A once thriving kingdom, with blossoming flowers and lush trees an entire year became an ugly land of mud and bare trees. Quite litrally a graveyard for the living. Once you were finally home, you pushed the door open to be met with welcoming warmth.
"Auntie is here!" A (your hair colour) haired little girl shouted joyfully, earning her twin brother's attention who came running to hug you "Autie, you're back!" you smiled in return and ruffled his fluffy hair "Of course Jude, I told you I'd be back soon." It was like this everytime you left the house. The kids would wait for your return instead of going to bed and jump in delight as soon as you were home. It was heartwrenching, how at such young age they were aware of the callous weather behind many deaths, including their mother's. "and look what I got here with me." you pulled out two apples from the groceries bag for the twins, receiving simultaneous 'Apples!' and 'Thank you!'s.
"I love apples." came Flora's soft, tiny voice.
"I'm glad you do, Flora" you went to put away the rest of the groceries. Luckily, you could get your hands on some fresh fruits and meat, otherwise the market in Arandelle was in a miserable state, the food production nearly non-existent. But how could one raise animals and plants in such climate. It was a risk not worth taking for farmers. You almost wanted to tear up when the shopkeeper told you that they don't have the medical herbs you requested since you ran out of them, so you bought meagre ones instead. "Grandpa was coughing a lot. like 13 times." your niece stood by your side, while you lit up a fire under a pot of water to brew a herbal drink "is that so?"
"Yes, I got worried. it means he's not getting better" your eyes met her own big ones, while Jude was highly optimistic, Flora was a realist. She doesn't accept something unless she sees it, but she looks up to you. She takes your words to heart. "Coughing means his body is fighting." you gave her a tiny, reassuring smile "and that's a good thing. every medication I give him will help him be stronger, but do you know what's the most important and efficient remedy?"
The girl scratched her head thoughtfully "uhm, sleeping well? I heard you talk about it last night."
"Well, that too, of course. there's also the state of the heart, our feelings affect our health. The happier one is, the higher the chances of recovery." Her eyes lit up in awe and wonder, and hope. "So...if we make him laugh, we're actually healing him? Like you do?"
"Of course sweetie, you two have an important part as well." Once the drink was ready, you poured some in a mug and went to your father's room, the old man was laid in bed, looking sickly pale and tired. He saw what you were holding and groaned "Oh no, no more of that awful thing."
"I added some honey this time. It should be bearable." You patiently said. In your many years of practicing medicine, you've encountered a good number of difficult, stubborn patients. Honesty, you cracked sometimes in the beginning, crying behind a big bush or in a brooms' closet, but you eventually learned to get your way and keep a clear conscious. "Come on, I didn't go all the way out there for nothing."
"...Fine. but I'll drink it on my own pace!" you chuckled, partly satisfied with his response "As long as you do drink it, old man." you placed his mug on the bedside table and turned to leave when his voice spoke again "and (y/n), thank you... I saw the new clothes you got for the kiddos. they needed them for a while now...I couldn't-"
"It's good." You couldn't let him loath himself further for not being able to provide for them as a parent should. As illness striked him, your father worked extra hard and past his limits, so much that when he got bedridden, he couldn't walk "It really is. Their happiness means the world to me."
You knew he still blamed himself for that cursed day. The day your late sister offered to go get groceries instead of him. As soon as you received his letter, you gathered your belongings -eyes puffy from crying and lack of sleep- and took the earliest ship back to Arendelle.
A rough knock on the door grabbed your attention, glancing one last time at the man "I'll go get it." the twins were peaking from behind the curtains of the kitchen's window and let out audible gasps "Oh my god, they carry swords, so cool!"
The visitors were no other than the royal guard, four men in significant greenish robes which had the kingdom's symbol the Crocus, and long columnar shaped hats. Swords safely and readily strapped to their hips. "We came to speak with Doctor Isaac Karlsen." the one at the front said.
"Yes?" you said.
And he arched an eyebrow at you, sarcastically "You're Isaac Karlsen?"
"I'm his daughter. Tell me what you want to say and I'll deliver it to him." you politely smiled, at such times, the royal guard was no good news.
"Right." The guard faked a smile "Don't waste our time and bring him here. It doesn't concern you."
"It does, in fact. He's sleeping."
"Oh I'm pretty sure He will want to wake up once he finds out it's an order from her majesty, queen Elsa."
You internally cringed. Similar to your father, you disliked Queen Elsa. It's why he bought a house at the border of the capital after retirement, where life was peaceful and simple. He couldn't depart from Arendelle but preferred to be as far as possible from the icey palace and its surroundings. Serving poor people without charge until he fell sick.
"What is the order and why involve my father?"
You seemed to be getting on his nerves "It doesn't concern you." He firmly repeated, moving to walk past you but you blocked his way. His hand instantly flew to grip the hilt of his sword threateningly, and out of nowhere, the kids appeared behind you, eyes gleaming with excitement and admiration. "Hello guard sir good sir!" Jude blurted out. "you guys are awesome. I want to be like you one day!" Flora joined in "slashing enemies with your swords and protecting us!"
"kids, go back inside. now." out of the corner of your eye, you spotted the guard hesitating at the sight of children and his hold on the weapon dropped with a sigh "An ill person in the palace is in need of a doctor, urgently." He plainly explained to which you nodded.
"Very well, I'm doctor (Y/N) Karlsen. I've been working for a while. I'll be there first thing in the morning." you extended your hand for a shake and received none in return, just a bewildered and sceptical glare from the man. Another, friendlier looking guard stepped in to whisper something in his ear that he didn't like from his reaction, he replied with "Are you serious?" and slowly faced you again, both hands on his hips "Very well. pack as much clothes as you need, we will be waiting."
He grinned at your dumbfounded expression "No occasional visits. the doctor is required to live in the palace and be by the patient's side 24/7. That includes not leaving the palace boundaries for uh weeks, perhaps months."
"I can't." you shook your head "Impossible. I have kids to take care of and my father is old and bedridden. They have nobody else. I can't leave them for months at once!"
"Auntie is leaving already?" A crestfallen Jude tugged at your dress and Flora tried to comfort him despite her own sadness.
"We can't keep her majesty waiting." The guard spoke. "sir Erik, we have to tell her highness-" The other man went quiet when their lead guard, who's apparently called Erik, raised his hand "It seems you have to make a decision and quickly, miss (Y/N). We'll give you one day to think about it. but I suggest to start packing your things." With that, they left and you closed the door, still shaken from the encounter.
"Aw you both..." you bent down to hug them "A hurricane won't separate me from you. So don't worry, I'm not going anywhere."
"But the queen. she's powerful isn't she?" Flora whispered. It was true, in her few years of ruling, the young dictator has done terrible things to her enemies and opposers that made even the most fearless of men tremble and give in to her. She was a cruel and merciless tactician with a stone, cold heart.
"And your auntie is smart and capable of handling herself." The girl was embarrassed that she doubted you for a second and nodded "She is."
"Uhm, by the way auntie." Jude timidly interrupted your moment "Please don't get mad but..."
"hm, what's wrong Jude?"
"the tea you made was awfully bitter, it had veeery little honey." he put his index finger and thumb closely together "the more sweet, the better!" Flora snickered at him "It's called 'sweeter' Jude, not 'more sweet'".
"Okay but where did you get that tea from? I didn't make any tea." you asked.
"Grandpa gave it to me."
you were unimpressed, and highly disappointed with your father for giving his herbal medicine to the little boy so he wouldn't have to drink it. And for a moment there, you thought maybe you should've let those guards take him.

Big Roles
Hailee Steinfeld x Male Reader
Request - Hailee Steinfeld x actor/singer!male!reader where y/n is a 26 year old single father who has a 5 year old daughter. His old girlfriend passed away due to an illness (you can decide what illness). Y/n meet Hailee during filming Hawkeye he was cast as the clone/son of Natasha Romanoff. During the few months of filming y/n develops feelings for Hailee, so does Hailee. During Christmas Hailee kissed y/n under the missile toe and they started dating. He doesn't let Hailee meet his daughter until he is very sure that the relationship between them lasts. After 6 months of dating y/n tells Hailee about his daughter. Ending fluffy and sweet.
Tumblr media
You arrived on set late due to traffic and you apologized for being late. You rushed to put on your suit and makeup, Hailee smiled at you.
“We get to do our scenes today,” Hailee said.
“I feel a lot of pressure being Natasha’s son,” You said.
“I felt that too when I took the part for Kate. You will do fine, Y/n” Hailee smiled.
“Thanks. I came late because the babysitter arrived late due to traffic and when I left home the traffic got worse” You said.
“Oh, she is feeling better?” Hailee asked.
Last week you told Hailee that your daughter had a stomach ache.
“Yeah, she is doing better. Apparently, she was sneaking candy into her pockets and eating it when I wasn't looking” You said.
“Smart girl but that is funny” Hailee laughed.
You show Hailee the Halloween pictures and Hailee loves it.
“You made a cute Olaf. And oh my God, she is a cute Elsa” Hailee smiled.
“Thanks. She is obsessed with frozen. What did you do for Halloween? I just took Rachel to get candies” You said.
“That sounds nice. I went to a party here in the city. And this was my costume,“ Hailee said.
Hailee takes out her cell phone and shows you pictures from the party. Later, you and Hailee started to work on the scenes with Jeremy and Scarlett. You have a similar accent to Yelena but a little heavier because your character Clone was raised with Melina Vostokoff and Natasha. And your character Clone doesn't fully understand what is sarcasm.
“I'm always impressed that you can change your accent easily,” Hailee said.
“Thanks,” You said and winked.
Hailee smiled then you do scenes with Scarlett and Jeremy alone. But Hailee watched you act on set and she is impressed with your acting skills.
“It seems you have a crush on Y/n,” Florence said
“What!... What are you talking about?” Hailee nervously said.
Florence giggled and she can tell that Hailee has a crush on you.
“You always smile at him. And you laughed at that lame joke, he told us about a few weeks ago” Florence said.
“The joke wasn't that bad... It was a little funny” Hailee said
“Whatever. Y/n is single and he is good looking man, and he is a gentleman and he cares about his daughter a lot” Florence said
“But I don't know if he would go out with me,” Hailee said.
“You are hot and I think he would go out with you,” Florence said.
“I guess... I don't know” Hailee said.
“Don't be scared” Florence said.
-----
You are in Hailee’s trailer and you will do a live Q&A on Instagram. She has on her purple suit and you have a similar suit to Natasha's but your suit shows more dark grey. You start to read the question first...
“Do you like working with Hailee?” You said.
“Do you like working with me?” Hailee asked.
“Hailee is such a diva. She hasn't paid me back that time I took her and Flo out for lunch, and she always makes me mess up my lines” You teased.
She smacked your arm and you gasped.
“Wow, that is assault” You laughed.
“Jerk” Hailee teased.
“I’m kidding. I like working with Hailee and she is fun to work with” You said.
“Y/n can sometimes be annoying but he does make me laugh a lot. And I like how he always changes his accent back and forth easily” Hailee smiled.
You and Hailee smiled at each other. Some fans start to write that they ship your Character Clone with Kate.
---
Later, you and Kate do another scene with Scarlett and Jeremy.
“We can't keep calling him ‘Clone’ I mean it can be his hero name but not his real name. Didn't you give him a name?” Kate said.
“I didn't get a chance to name him. They took him away before I can hold him,” Natasha said.
“What you would have named me if you didn't give me away?” you said.
“I didn't know what to name you,” Natasha said.
“How did all of this happen?” Kate asked
“Dreykov was making clones. He managed to get Natasha’s DNA and make a clone. When Natasha found out, she asked Melina for help but they found a baby boy in the lab. Natasha didn't know how to be a parent” Clint said.
“I wanted him to have a normal life,” Natasha said.
You didn't say anything but you walked away. Natasha feels bad and the scene ends.

Hailee has been working on a song and she wanted you to sing the song with her. You agreed to it, you would meet up with Hailee at the studio to record the song.
“Sorry, I'm late. Rachel wanted to play with her toys with me” You said
“That is adorable, Y/n. She with her mom now?” Hailee said
“No. She passed away when Rachel was two years old, she had breast cancer. Since then, I haven't been in a serious relationship. I don't want to bring just any woman around my daughter. I have to make sure she will be a good role model for my daughter” You said.
“I’m sorry about your loss. But I understand what you mean. Ready to start singing? We have to do the chorus” Hailee said.
“Yeah, I'm ready,” You said.
You and Hailee go into the booth and started to sing.
“Y/n, I think you should sing that part again with more energy,” Hailee said.
“Oh, again. Okay, I will try again. Is it just that part?” You said.
“Maybe, sing the whole part again but with more energy,” Hailee said.
“Okay, I will try again,” You said
You start to drink water then you try to sing again. While singing, you and Hailee did argue about which chorus should go first and last, etc. The argument didn't turn into a huge fight, she managed to fix the problem.
----
You have the week off and you have been spending time with your daughter. She is happy to have you home and play with you.
“I don't want tomatoes,” Rachel said.
She doesn't like tomatoes on her burger.
“If you don't eat it then I will take your french fries and you won't watch frozen,” You said.
“Really?” Rachel asked.
“Yes, really. Eat your tomatoes” You said.
“I want to see frozen” Rachel said.
“Later, before you go to bed,” You said.
“Yay!” Rachel smiled.
Minutes later, Hailee called you on facetime. And you picked up, you smile at her.
“Hey, Y/n!” Hailee smiled.
“Hailee, I like your outfit. You look beautiful “ You said.
She blushed.
“I called to see how you been doing and Rachel too. Like my outfit? I'm going to a fashion show here in Milan” Hailee said.
“Sounds fun. I'm here about to see Frozen 2 with Rachel” You said.
“That’s cute. I saw the movie, it's actually very funny. And I love Olaf” Hailee said.
“Dad, I like Olaf too!” Rachel yelled then she smiled.
You spoke with Hailee for a little while then you watched the movie with Rachel then she wanted to play tea party and you dressed up for her.
------
You had to go to a party to celebrate the success of Hawkeye. At the party, you start to speak with friends and your manager introduced you to new people. But Hailee is across the room, you stare at her. Hailee is talking to her friends and she starts to look at you. You and Hailee stare at each other
✯ ✯ ✯ ✫
Florence invited you and Hailee to a Christmas party at her house. Hailee sees you and she is smiling at you, and Florence did notice how you and Hailee are smiling at each other.
“I will let you two, lovers talk. I have to make sure there are more cups” Florence said.
Florence left and you keep smiling at Hailee.
“Y/n, you came. I got something for you” Hailee said.
“Really?” You said.
“Yeah, it's in the room. Come with me” Hailee said.
You followed Hailee to the room and she gives you a gift bag. You take the items out of the bag.
“I got a gift for you and Rachel. Since she likes frozen I got her a coloring book and mini toys with Olaf included. And for you, I wasn't sure what to get so... I got you a gift card and a watch” Hailee said.
“Wow, Hailee this is great. Thank you so much and she will love it” You said.
You hugged her and you smell the perfume on her. She stared into your eyes and she wants to kiss you, but you got nervous and moved away.
“Again, thank you. Do you want to get a drink?” You said.
“Yeah, sure. Oh, Flo got these amazing cupcakes and you have to try them” Hailee said.
“I like cupcakes,” You said.
You follow her to the kitchen and you try the cupcakes. Then You take selfies with Florence and Hailee, and they posted the pictures on their Instagram account and tag you on it.
You are having a good time at the party. You and Hailee are making each other laugh, and she would gently caress your hand. You and Hailee grabbed the drinks and headed to the living room...
“Y/n, look up,” Hailee said.
“What?” You said
You look up at the ceiling and there it's a mistletoe. You moved closer and you leaned in and kissed her and she kissed you back.
-----
Time Skip...
You are celebrating Christmas with your daughter. And you are opening the gifts with her and she is loving the gift Hailee got for her.
“I have a girlfriend,” You said.
“Eww,” Rachel said.
You start to laugh and she starts to laugh too.
“Her name is Hailee and I want you to meet her,” You said.
“Why?” Rachel asked.
“Because I want you to meet her. I care about her and I want to meet you” You said.
“Dad, she is your best friend?” Rachel asked.
“Yes, she is,” You said.
You stand up and you pick her up. She asked if she can eat cookies and you said yes, she starts to smile.
✯ ✯ ✯ ✫
6 months later...
You are in Hailee’s trailer. You and Hailee are kissing each other but didn't take it further. Now you cuddle with Hailee, you have your head on her chest.
“Do you see us being together long term?” You asked.
You sit up then she sat up.
“I do see us being together long term. I really like you, Y/n. Plus, I have told you stuff that I never told anyone before” Hailee said.
“Same with you,” You said.
“Do you want me to meet your daughter?” Hailee said.
“Yeah, I want you to meet her. She knows I'm dating but I want you to be sure before we can take the next step” You said.
“I know how much she means to you, Y/n. Yeah, I will like to meet her” Hailee smiled.
“This is great!” You smiled.
She pushed you down to the bed now she is on top. You and Hailee are smiling and she starts to kiss you. Her lipstick is on your lips and you can't stop smiling.
-----
Today Hailee will meet your daughter and you are feeling nervous. You and Hailee agreed to spend time at your house. She knocked on the door and you opened it.
“Hailee you made it” You said.
“Y/n, I'm nervous about this” Hailee said.
“Do you want to reschedule?” You asked.
“No, I still want to meet her. I got donuts for us” Hailee said.
“Sweet. Her favorite snack is donuts besides pizza and French fries” You smiled.
Rachel runs towards you and she hides behind your leg.
“Hi, Rachel my name is Hailee,” Hailee said.
Rachel looks away and she has her arms around you.
“Rachel, she said hi to you. What do you say?” You said.
“Hi,” Rachel said.
“I got donuts for us to eat,” Hailee said.
Hailee followed you to the kitchen, she gave a donut to Rachel. Later, you go to the backyard, and Hailee is pushing Rachel on the swing. You see them having a good time and you start to smile. You take a picture of them and you don't post it online.
You went inside the house to grab something to drink while Hailee and Rachel are playing together, but Rachel fell. She scrapped her knee and she starts to cry. While you go towards Rachel, Hailee picked her up
“Put her on the counter,” You said.
“Dad, it hurts” Rachel cried.
Her knee is bleeding but it's not too bad. You went to grab the first aid kit, and Hailee wipe the tears away.
“It will be okay. Don't cry, your knee will heal and you will be fine” Hailee said.
You start to clean her knee.
“She is right. Your knee will be okay and you will be okay too. Now you can pick any band-aids you want” You smiled.
“I want Mickey,” Rachel said.
You the band-aid of Mickey on her knee. Hailee picked her up and starts to rub Rachel’s back gently.
“Looks like, you two are friends,” You said.
“It looks like we did” Hailee smiled.
You smile at Hailee. Later, Hailee helps you cook the chicken, and Rachel tries to eat a donut.
“No donut,” You said.
You take it away and put it in the box. During dinner, Rachel starts to talk about frozen and who is her favorite characters. Hailee thinks it's cute and you are happy that Rachel likes Hailee.

Disney (Almost) Made an Anniversary Kamen Rider
You remember during the 2000s where Disney owned Power Rangers? It wasn't a bad era in terms of what was put out, but maybe I'm bias because I grew up with it. Running from Ninja Storm to RPM, Disney had a troubling run with the show - the quality was good for a kid's show, but Disney did not like making it. It's not a secret that they were trying to bury Power Rangers, the show only continuing after RPM because it was bought back by Saban. It doesn't feel like a coincidence they sold back Power Rangers less than a year after buying Marvel Entertainment.
Tumblr media
And ever since, Disney has had no interest in Tokusatsu as a genre. You could argue the closest they ever came was Mech-X4, a Disney XD show about a kid controlling a giant robot to save his town.
Then rolls around the 100th anniversary. Tokusatsu is still as popular as ever in Japan and, while Super Sentai isn't as popular as it used to be, Kamen Rider has been going strong ever since it's revival in the Heisei Era.
If Disney wanna make money in Tokusatsu, it makes sense to put it in Kamen Rider.
Tumblr media
This is the Imagination Belt. It was released last month and, honestly, I'm glad I got back into Kamen Rider in time to see the strangest anniversary celebration yet. It was produced by Bandai and I won't pretend this is officially a Kamen Rider product - it's made by the same company, but that's not enough to call it that.
But it sure takes a lot of the beats!
As a person who has previously rambled about a non-existent canon surrounding a Sonic Screwdriver toy, I really appreciate that this gives me more to talk about inherently. Kamen Rider historically has been getting more and more Riders with every era of the show and this toy is no different - ten different Disney icons made into marketable... keys... how did they not do Sora-
Tumblr media
Nevermind, I'm glad they didn't.
The designs aren't great, I won't pretend they are, if you're a fan of Kamen Rider. It's clear the character designs were leaning closer to Kingdom Hearts (or even Spectrobes, if you remember that), so it's hard to judge them in terms of your typical Tokusatsu outfit. That being said, the consistency of the goggles does imply something about this uniform - if it's as important as the belt to be included on everyone, that's notable.
There's also a notable detail with the Imagination Belt itself - the Keys. Half of them are Gold, half of them are Silver, inherently splitting the team of Riders (Imaginators? Imagineers? Disney Adults?) in half. It implies simply that the goals of all the Riders don't align, that perhaps they're in a battle.
The Character Selection is also brought to mind. I imagine it's based on multiple factors, like popularity in that area and inclusion of specific brands... but that doesn't stop them being weird. Including specific representatives for Marvel, Lucasfilms and Pixar absolutely make sense - the choice of Woody is textbook. Iron Man equally makes sense, but the design has him look (personally) more like Lightning McQueen, which may just be a flaw of similar colour schemes.
But Grogu? Ya coulda picked anyone from Star Wars and... I get that The Mandalorian is probably the best received in pop culture... but the implications that he's getting his powers from a space baby is quite funny.
NOTE: The specific split of teams is Gold Keys belong to Mickey, Minnie, Simba, Woody and Iron Man - Silver Keys belong to Snow White, Moana, Tiana, Elsa and Grogu.
youtube
They also have built in power-up modes, specifically "Full Max" which seems to grant a power boost based on related characters - Mickey's Full Max gets help from Donald, Goofy and Pluto, meanwhile Simba has Timon and Pumbaa for example. But in your typical Tokusatsu, if your power-up involves other iconography, that tends to involve beating monsters. Are the monsters for "Imagination Belt" other Disney characters? Were Donald and Goofy evil beasts that had to be defeated? Did Woody have to beat Buzz Lightyear and the other Toys-Turned-Monsters? Minnie's Full Max is her with a cat, did Minnie Mouse have to fight a CAT?!
But onto the Lore Implications...
There's easily enough here to build an insane fanfiction, as you're about to see, but this does continue a point that I really appreciate about toys - kids, collectibles, whatever you want. You can tell your own story and it's not even difficult. Everyone has inherent creativity and, given a small amount of time, you can make any story out of any objects.
Case in point...
"Imagination Belt", to me, feels like Ryuki or Geats - it is a Rider War (Disney Adult War) where these two factions of "heroes" are fighting. It's probably against each other, Gold vs Silver, but you can imagine there are other monsters in between as your usual plot hooks.
The "Riders" of this world likely have their powers from raw imagination - passion for something that manifests in the Keys, giving them power in return. If the imagination becomes twisted.
Based on appearances, the Iron Man and Grogu Riders probably are leading both teams, the conflict started by the both of them and spiraling from there. Mickey is the obvious protagonist, Grogu looks like he'd make a good rival to keep the protagonist moving forward.
And there may be only ten official keys but Disney is an all-consuming black hole of creativity. There could be a lot more and you know it.

Okay so I've once read a fic about Anna and Elsa having a younger brother and I can't help but wonder what if they did? Like let's say that they had brother who was like 10 years younger than them what would happen?
I mean...doesn't Olaf kind of count as a younger brother already? But anyway, sure. I'll explore it a bit.
So in this alternate Frozen world, when Anna is 10 and Elsa is 13, Iduna and Agnarr have a son. He's 5 when the parents die, 8 during F1, and 11 during F2. So I don't just call the theoretical character "the brother" during this whole response, I will give him the name...um...
*Googles Scandinavian names and tries to incorporate the Hans Christian Anderson name thing with the characters that the fandom came up with*
Sondre.
Hans Christian Anderson
(Hans) (Kristoff) (Anna) (Elsa) (Sondre).
See how clever I am? *everyone rolls their eyes*
With Elsa, it's plausible that she would approach Sondre with hesitation, the same thing she did with Anna during their separation years. Fear and uncertainty might stop Elsa from readily connecting with him, especially considering his young age. This potential distance between them could surpass even Elsa's detachment from Anna, as Anna, at the very least, retains memories of their time together.
Thus, Sondre would probably (at first) not have any ill-will or love for Elsa. He would probably look at her with indifference. Or maybe even fear, since she would probably be a scary boogie-man figure he needs to avoid at all costs.
Anna's life would probably be a lot more different with the presence of a younger brother. While she may still grapple with feelings of loneliness, having someone else to divert her attention could mitigate this. Given Anna's nurturing disposition, she might naturally assume a maternal role towards her brother, particularly following the loss of their parents, since he would only be five years old at this time. Anna would find herself stepping into the role of his primary caregiver, leading to a similar dynamic between Elsa and Anna in F2.
Anna's motivations for stopping the eternal winter in the first film would be twofold, as she would not only seek to restore warmth to the kingdom but also to alleviate the burden on Sondre. Likewise, Elsa would face heightened stress and responsibility, as she grapples with protecting both siblings, one being a child.
In the sequel, Anna would be tasked with not only overcoming her own grief but also providing stability and support for Sondre, thrusting her into a position of heightened strength and resilience. Now, I don't think that Sondre would be in the forest with them (unless he sneaks onto the carriage) however, Anna and Elsa would probably fight over him - Anna would mention how they have a child family member that needs them, so she would be even more critical of Elsa being reckless.
Anyway, those are some ideas regarding a younger brother. You guys can go ahead and throw in some other ideas.

Alright so I saw Wish a while ago and here's some controversial takes.
I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it. Hell. 8/10. I enjoyed it that much. Here's my thoughts. Under spoilers because you will get mad, especially if you define yourself by 90s and current Disney movies.
Unless you know me really well. Then you saw this coming. And I already told you.
May there be no more twist villains or WOE IS ME! I AM GOOD INSIDE HONEST! Rebecca Sugar effect villains.
Evil is lime baby!
Happy divorce! GIRL YOU DESERVE IT! When was the last time we had a nice divorce like this? Parent Trap was a sad, miserable divorce. But when did we show that divorce was a GOOD thing in some cases? Only respect for my queen.
We been knew Sleepy was a snitch.
Disability rep at long last that isn't evil or eldery AND she impacts the plot.
Dahlia is my favorite and I love her.
Dahlia has her predecessor's anxiety and public speaking problem and I could cry so much cause that's an easter egg only I know and none of you will appreciate. So there.
Golden and silver age references as opposed to the Renaissance. Chef's kiss. There's a lot of Disney out there. Seeing even the Xerox era get respect was wonderful. Renaissance? Take a backseat, please. You already get favoritism as it is. You get so much merch so seeing a few extra things just for us fans? Yeah. Yeah it feels nice to be appreciated JUST ONCE cause we never will be EVER AGAIN after this.
If you call Asha adorkable for saying her face hurts/feels like it's stuck after working a tour guide job, I'm personally coming for you. As a former tour guide. Cause I have done this after EVERY SINGLE SHIFT. Because you're an asshole. Yes I said it. I'm not adorkable for smiling so hard my muscles went numb. But I am pissed at you for being a prick. And that's what you are. A prick.
This movie suffers from 'the straights are not okay' because they keep shipping Asha with any white man (emphasis on man) they can find, including her grandpa in Star form because he looked like Jack Frost in a earlier phase. Dude it was her grandpa and no I don't want your fanart even though "BUT IT LOOKED PRETTY!" But I know the only reason he has icy blond locks is because it's her grandpa AND IT EVEN HAS SIMILAR FACIAL FEATURES TO ASHA. GROSS MY DUDE. Yeah sorry if you feel personally attacked but no, this really wigs me out. Sorry if that upsets you but I KNOW THIS AND I HAVE THE ART BOOK. Says ASHA'S GRANDPA, SABINO, before we decided he should be alive and impact the plot himself! And... YEAH. Yeah, there.
You could literally ship her all cute with ANY of her friends but you go for the old white men in her life, kinda weird but OKAY THEN!
The movie needed ten or twenty more minutes more so I could chill with The Seven or Amaya. I just wanted more. That's me though.
Bazeema. Bazeema could hide bodies. Let her.
Harvey Guillen voicing Gabo is proof that Disney knows we gay coded Grumpy and they're in silent agreement but won't do much right now other than giggle with us so... thank you, Wish, for being immature with the fandom right now. The Snow White fandom thanks you.
Music was great. No subpar show stoppers that make me go THANKS FOR THE FIVE MINUTE WAIT TO RESTATE EVERYTHING I ALREADY KNOW ELSA.
The music fits together nicely. It's a soundtrack I can listen to without skipping anything because my brain isn't thrown out of whack. Everything segues nicely. I don't hate anything. I like it all.
For example, I feel this way about the Coco soundtrack. While I dislike the contemporary version of Remember Me, I can leave on the entire soundtrack and do anything. There's nothing bad about it. It's great. I sing along or I just vibe during instrumental pieces. I can do this for Snow White, Pinocchio, and Mary Poppins. I cannot do this for many other soundtracks. CONSIDER THIS A VERY HIGH HONOR FROM ME.
No, people just went in with shitty mindsets before reviewing and I'm actually looking for a good negative review because I'd probably agree with them cause different strokes for different folks. Cause no seriously someone said Cruella had more depth than Magnifico. And I love Cruella but... friendo. She's not that deep, she really isn't. I wanna sit that person down and just ask them how deep "old friend from college envies your dog's sparkly coat and steals them cause fashion". She's not that deep, truly. Glenn Close did spectacular but SHE'S ABOUT AS DEEP AS A PUDDLE. And if you mean that Emma Stone movie, no you don't. That movie doesn't exist. Cruella doesn't have some life long grudge against dalmatians because that's stupid and why would you ever write something as stupid as that? Because you wouldn't and it was a collective bad dream we all had. tl;dr I really enjoyed Wish and it makes me realize how much bad writing exists not just in animation but in Hollywood in general and maybe we stop finding some of these things acceptable from now on.

Strange Sight - A Hiccelsa Story pt 1. - A Helping Hand
Some Hiccelsa goodness for anyone who wants. Title inspired by the song by KT Tunstall. Hiccup and Elsa belong to Dreamworks and Disney respectively.
Tumblr media
Provence, south of France, was the perfect region to spend the summer. Trees and vegetation were as lush as any northern part of Europe could get, but complemented by the golden tan of rocky formations upon which villages and holiday homes were situated. Adding to the sights and smells were rows of lavender, as purple as amethyst bobbing in the gentle breeze.
The tall, brown-haired, freckle-faced young man, Harrison ‘Hiccup’ Haddock, had dressed for the weather in a green T-shirt, tan shorts and moccasins. ‘Hiccup.’ as he had eventually grown accustomed to being nicknamed, headed through the front door of his newly-rented holiday cottage to unload the last of some maintenance equipment from his black Land Rover. Even on vacation, it took a lot to separate Hiccup from his very own motorcycle machinery that he would tinker with in search of a new innovation that he could soon introduce to the gear-heads that made his target audience. Toothless, his well-built black labrador lay splayed across the cooling stone floor, so Hiccup had to take big steps over those legs and floppy ears of his. He trudged to the Rover and pulled open the boot, before hoisting the case of equipment up in both hands. He had been saving his strength for the heavier stuff, but he still staggered from the weight. Not even the flexible black rods of his prosthetic left leg helped much. “Woah…” the brunette went, clinging onto the heavy case and spreading his feet, his living one and his metal one, to try and balance himself. He had trained himself to cope with a prosthetic, even ride a bike with one, but it still surprised him just what types of situations an artificial limb could bring about. “Aw, no, don't do this - no!” Hiccup yelled, the case tipping out of his hands, landing onto the pebble-strewn ground. What didn’t help was the tools and engine components spilling out, the lid half-open from the impact at which it had fallen.
“Are you okay?” A female voice from behind caught Hiccup by slight surprise. “Wha - uh, sorry?” Frustrated by his situation, he turned to find the source of the voice; a blond young woman in an ankle-length royal blue gown standing behind him.
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry, I’m - I’m sorry, can I help, ma’am?” Hiccup awkwardly asked, feeling as though this somewhat wraith-like girl must have materialised out of practically nowhere. All the girl did was stand where she was with her long wispy hands respectably folded in front of her the way someone would when attending a formal occasion. “Oh, don’t worry, I was just wondering if ‘you’ needed help.” she answered kindly, not moving from where she stood.
Despite his aggravating business with that case, Hiccup had to take a moment to notice how easily he could call this lovely-looking girl a queen. Curiosity twinkled in her ice blue eyes and her snowy blond hair was neatly tied in an immaculate Dutch-braided bun. Her thin, delicate nose and rouge lips wonderfully accentuated the light, mild-mannered expression on her heart-shaped face. Her blue summer gown flowed in the cooling air while highlighting the hour-glass hips and showing off slim arms as pale as her impressively pretty face, but not pale to the point of looking unhealthy. What completed this look was the set of flat-soled silvery-blue pumps.
Awakening from his stare, Hiccup lightly shook his head. “I’m sorry, don’t worry. I got this, I think -” And he quickly turned to pick up the case. “Would you like a hand with that” the woman asked. There was not a hint of insistence in her soft-spoken voice. If Hiccup asked, she would probably leave. Good-looking as she was, the brunette had felt more prepared for some alone time with his labrador, seeing as how he wasn’t the biggest people’s person. He wrestled to push the clips back in place, sealing the spilt equipment back into the case. “I - I don’t know, this thing’s ‘very’ heavy.” he grunted, yanking one of its handles. The thing barely even budged, crunching along the pebbles. “I could take one end.” The young woman’s voice left Hiccup simply torn between politely refusing her assistance, or getting this stupidly heavy case indoors with an extra pair of hands. “You sure?” he asked, hoping he didn’t come across as attempting to drive the girl away. “It’s got a lot of tools for, like, engineering.” he explained to the woman, though she seemed to be actually listening, not turning away in boredom like he had expected. “Wow, ‘that’ heavy.” she commented humorously. “Well, I’ve had to get ‘my’ stuff in myself too. One more can’t hurt.” She was standing in front of that bigger house facing the cottage Hiccup had rented. And behind her was a sleek, gleaming convertible as silver and spotless as a freshly forged sword blade.
Something then made Hiccup look behind and notice, to even greater annoyance, Toothless was standing outside the cottage in front of the girl.
Tumblr media
The girl was a little surprised to find the pitch black labrador staring up at her with wide hazel eyes and swishing his tail side-to-side. Next she smiled in adoration. “Oh...hello there.” she greeted and Toothless sat himself down with his mouth stretched into what seemed like a smile of his own. “Is this your dog?” the girl asked Hiccup. “Mine, and outside the house where he belongs. Sorry about this.” Hiccup bluntly replied, getting up. “Alright, Toothless, nothing to - er - see here. Go on, boy! Back you go. Ah - don’t give me that look!” Toothless was indeed giving him a look that appeared to suggest an immature pout. “Back!” Hiccup ordered, thrusting a finger to the cottage doorway. “Back you go, you useless hound!” “Don’t worry. He’s not doing any harm.” the girl assured, raising a hand. “Could I stroke him?” she then requested, and Toothless opened his mouth wide with his tail wagging even faster at this prospect. “Well…” Before Hiccup could continue, Toothless started to show his gums to the girl in that bizarre smile that gave him his name. The girl’s eyes went round in bemusement at how well the dog hid his canines, just goofily staring up at her and beating his tail against the ground. “You sure you want to?” Hiccup asked the girl, as he rather wished Toothless hadn’t brought this about. “Well…sure.” the blond answered, reaching out a fair-skinned hand for the dog’s head. When her fingers caressed Toothless’ fur, he simply reared his head back in sheer happiness. Hiccup rolled his eyes, but the girl gave his pet such a charming smile, he felt he was in no position to send him back in the house. “He’s so sweet…” the girl complemented, trailing her hand along Toothless’ head and making him pant in joy. “Oh, don’t let his good looks and charm fool you.” Hiccup mock-warned, folding his arms. “When he gets an admirer, he’s got you wrapped round his - well - paw.” “So, Toothless is it?” the stranger inquired, the smile not even leaving her ever-pretty face as the labrador flicked his head between her and Hiccup. “That’s him.” Hiccup responded, smirking at his rascal of a dog and ruffling the fur of his head.
“So, shall I help you with this case?” the girl eventually asked when she remembered the help she had offered Hiccup in the first place. Hiccup considered for a moment, then breathed out. “Okay, sure thing. I’ll take the front end, yeah?” “Yeah, got it.” the blond agreed, striding gracefully round to the other side of the case. She closed her fingers around the handle, then pulled. What made Hiccup’s jaw drop a little and Toothless quirk his head sideways was how this porcelain doll of a girl got her end of the case a couple of inches off the ground! She did grit her pearly teeth a little from the effort, but she was still managing even with such thin arms. Instantly snapping out of his surprise, he snatched up the handle on his side. Aided by the girl’s unexpected strength, he managed to get the case level, hovering above the ground despite the sheer heaviness of its equipment. With Toothless waddling behind with his tail wagging, the two slowly walked it towards the cottage, into the doorway and lowered it onto the floor.
Hiccup and the blond panted a little from the exertion, but looked at one another faintly smiling. Toothless glanced down at the box, then up at his owner and the girl as he panted excitedly, his tongue hanging all the way out of his grinning mouth. “Wow, team effort.” Hiccup commented gladly. “You led the way. I just took some of the weight.” the girl replied benevolently, rubbing Toothless’ head. “I’m sure that doesn’t make you any less deserving of a little something…” Hiccup started, holding up a finger. Now truly enjoying this unknown girl’s company, he bent down and opened the small fridge. “White or red?” “Oh, I don’t know…” The blond looked away, clearly trying not to smile. “White?” “White it is.” His nervousness a distant memory, Hiccup straightened with a wine bottle in hand and a slightly goofy smile on his strong-chinned face, opening the overhead cupboard behind him. “Ow!” The cupboard door bonked the back of his head! “Ooh! Are you alright?” the girl asked with a pained expression. Toothless gave his master a look that said he was always doing this. “Yeah, I’m fine.” Hiccup grunted, rubbing the soreness away and getting two wine glasses. “They don’t call me Hiccup for nothing.” “I’m sorry?” the girl asked, a little befuddled. “Oh, that?” the young man replied and remembered. “My name’s Hiccup -” “Your actual name?” the blond inquired. “Ah, no, not my *name* name - it’s my nickname.” the brunette corrected her, pouring some wine. “If you want my full name, it's Harrison Hickory Haddock...the third. I run that motorcycle service down in Berk.” He offered a glass, the amber-coloured drink sloshing in the crystal clear glass. “Berk...I haven't been there but apparently it's quite nice there.” the girl commented with a light smile, accepting her drink and stroking Toothless some more. Hiccup still couldn’t fathom how such hands as delicate as hers could get a half-tonne case off the ground. “If you can get through nine months of snow and three months of hail that constitute a year there…” Hiccup replied, leaning up against the kitchen counter as he and the girl sipped their drinks, a happy Toothless sitting between them. “Oh, then I’ll make sure to check it out in the snowy months. I happen to like snow.” the girl smiled, her lip rouge succeeding in drawing Hiccup’s eye. Now it was her turn to be absorbed in just how handsome he looked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She found herself enjoying the way his chocolate-brown hair flowed around his head with tufts at his ears and neck, how his nose was rounded at the end, but how well-defined and lightly stubbled his chin was. “But enough about me, I didn’t get ‘your’ name.” Hiccup told her. “My name’s Elsa.” the girl replied politely. “Elsa...cool name…” Hiccup murmured, taking another sip. Elsa grinned gently at his praise. “Thank you.” Then something about that name rang a bell in Hiccup. “Wait - aren't you Elsa from Arendelle? You run that big architecture firm?” Elsa took another sip of her wine. “The very same.” she chirped. “So what brings you out here to Provence, mon cherie?” Hiccup grinned as he asked this, exaggerating the French accent, which made Elsa smirk in amusement. “Oh, you know, an architecture company’s a huge responsibility. My family’s owned it for years.” she explained, pausing for a drink. “I’m lucky to ever go and get some time off.” “Guess you came to the right place.” Hiccup agreed. “You want to sit down?”
While Toothless lay half-asleep on his side like a sardine, Hiccup and Elsa sat at the small wooden table beside the cottage’s kitchen area, chatting and drinking. “ - Her name’s Anna. You’d love her. She’s dating this guy Kristoff; he’s employed at my firm. You’d get along with him too.” Elsa was telling Hiccup. “You do live in good company.” he said, already liking the idea of meeting the rich girl’s sister and the collection of colourful characters she had befriended. “But what about your friends?” Elsa asked with that same curiosity from when she had volunteered to help lift that case. “My friends? Well there’s Gobber, missing a right hand and left leg, helps me out at the motorcycle repairs. It’s thanks to him that I can even put in all those nuts and bolts.” Hiccup explained. “Fishlegs, that’s his nickname, he’s an old schoolmate, great at computers, helped me get set up with my tablet here.” He held up his iPad to demonstrate. “Snotlout, ah…” He bobbed his hand side-to-side. “Drives a monster truck and gets a bit egotistical when it comes to racing. Bit of a muttonhead, but means well.” Elsa just nodded. “Ruffnut and Tuffnut, they’re twins, can be a bit of a handful. Navy-trained like me, love their death metal. And their motorcycles. But you’d definitely love my mum.” “If she’s mother to someone as sweet as you, I think I would.” Elsa smiled over the rim of her glass. This complement sent butterflies fluttering in Hiccup’s stomach and his cheeks grew warmer than the French summer air could possibly be, even in the cooling shade of the rented cottage. He wanted the wine he drank to extinguish his blushing, his lips seeming to stick to the glass. “Hiccup, you okay?” Elsa was looking at him with those winter-blue eyes in which the brunette saw many things, such as fondness in finding companionship, but unusually, a bit of loneliness. “I’m fine, thanks, Elsa…” He had only just met this girl, himself a moody, gawky mechanic and a beautiful businesswoman, but rather than dwell on it, Hiccup went on drinking, Elsa doing the same.
“Well, thank you for - uh, thank you, Hiccup.” Elsa eventually said, getting up once her glass was finished. Toothless bolted to his feet and wagged his tail in the hopes of some more affection before she left. “Oh, don’t mention it.  Thank ‘you’ for shifting that stupid case.” Hiccup replied, lightly kicking said case with a clunk. “Oh, it was nothing - ” “Seriously, you got some real push - ” They paused when noticing they were talking over one another and suddenly went silent, glancing away from one another sheepishly. Toothless darted his head between them waiting for whatever was going to happen next. “Well, I think I should be getting back…” Elsa suggested. Toothless’ eyes grew round at the very thought. “Sure, I’ve got to get Toothless and my supper on the go too…” Hiccup awkwardly agreed. “Same here.” Elsa remarked. “I know, Toothless…” she continued, getting to one knee and stroking the labrador who panted in his desire for her to keep going. “Hope you’re liking that place you rented. Sure looks fancy.” Hiccup smirked. “Well I’m starting to like yours really.” Elsa replied, appreciating the cottage’s more humble, rustic design. “It just looks so…cosy.” Now Hiccup was beginning to wonder if they were drawing out their goodbyes, but nonetheless he glanced around and murmured, “Sure does.” Giving him that mild, possibly bashful smile, Elsa finished stroking Toothless and moved for the door. She paused and turned back slightly. “Hiccup?”
Tumblr media
Hiccup froze. Elsa’s tone sounded as though she was about to invite him for something. Toothless pricked his ears up. Elsa still had her back to Hiccup, but was glancing at him from the corner of those half-closed eyes. She seemed to be getting suspiciously coy. “Yeah?” Hiccup quietly responded. “The house I’m staying at has a pool.” Elsa told him. “If you want, you can use it too.” Hiccup’s heart rate accelerated a little. They had only just met, but now Elsa was permitting him to use a pool that belonged to the place she had rented! “But, Elsa - I don’t - what if you…you - wouldn’t you want to - ?” Facing him, Elsa lightly beamed. “Hiccup, you can swim any time you like. I won’t mind us sharing.” Even Toothless looked up and Hiccup and jerked his head in Elsa’s direction. He was obviously hinting for his owner to agree. “Well, thanks.” the young man replied, wondering where this whole invitation of Elsa’s was leading up to. Sometimes he hated how much of a stubborn animal Toothless could be. “Night, Elsa.” “Goodnight, Hiccup.” Elsa half-whispered with that faint grin. “See you soon…”
Stay tuned, Hiccelsa lovers...

The Boys' Opinions on MC's Dog
Same premise as the one with the cat, but this time with my sweet furbaby Elsa~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Elsa, my babygirl 🥰
I adopted her a few years back during a time of heavy depression and she has boosted me up for the better.
She is a chihuahua mix (or so the people I adopted from guessed; their other guess was a terrier mix) and was found wandering the streets. They think she escaped her previous owner's backyard, but aren't sure because no one came looking for her. I adopted her when she was one and a half.
Before anyone asks though, I will explain about her eyes. Those pinky red spots are her tear ducts, as I was told. We call them her cherry eyes and she's had them since I adopted her. I've talked about them with the vet and the lady said they don't hurt her or anything of the sort; they just sorta look strange when they pop out like this.
There is a surgery to fix it, but it's was too expensive and then she might have to have eye drops in her eyes for the rest of her life (and she hates eye drops a lot). Overall, I feel like it would cause her more harm than good to do it anyway.
I made sure explain this because I've literally had people (both irl and through me messaging them her picture) react like "Dear god, what is wrong with her eyes!!!" And it's like chill dude and stop insulting my dog.
She's still a beautiful and sweet little girl 🥰💕
So yeah! She's fine so there's no need to worry about the cherry eyes. She is however partially blind in one eye, but that is because...well, she dislikes cats and in the beginning of taking care of her brother Beanie, she wasn't his biggest fan. One day she had him cornered, he swatted her, and I had a $300 vet bill on my hands.
She is a sweet girl though! She just thinks she's bigger and tougher than she actually is. I call her my little Gryffindor sometimes lol.
Elsa's other names: Elsa Mae, Babygirl, Baby Love, Little Love, Baby Angel, Sweet Girl, and Little Bitch (jokingly since the non cuss word meaning of bitch is female dog and she's little, hence little bitch lol)
And lastly
The Queen 👑 hehe~
Now let's see how the Boys' handle her! She is quite needy so let's see how this goes hehe.
•▪︎▪︎◇°●♡●°◇▪︎▪︎•
Lucifer:
Was honest less reluctant than he was in Beanie's timeline.
Lucifer preferred big dogs (evident by Cerberus), but believed small dogs have their own charms.
Elsa was just this little helpless girl and he quickly grew a soft spot for her.
She was bit annoying though since she was always crying about something
But she was easy to soothe and the pride demon did enjoy holding her close and comforting her
Once she got used to him at least.
In truth, Elsa is scared of men, something we guess to be a part of a past trauma, either from when she was on the streets or because her first owner treated her poorly.
Because of this, it takes her awhile to feel safe with any man
But Lucifer is very patient and soft with her and he soon becomes one of her favorite people.
She can often be found on his lap as he does paperwork and will gently distract him from his work with a nudge of her nose to his arm.
Though it was annoying to him at first, those brief periods of having to stop his work for a moment to pet the needy furbaby actually did wonders for his stress.
Overall, he finds Elsa slightly tiring, but very sweet and enjoys the comfort she gives him.
Mammon:
This dude likes making fun of the dog
And gets smacked by MC on the arm or back of the head every time they hear him say anything mean.
In truth, he does like the chubby little thing.
Elsa's cries for attention always make this need dude feel needed and that's a feeling Mammon really wishes he felt more.
He pretends to find her annoying, but in truth grows to love her.
Some nights he'll try to steal the pup from her mama's (MC's) bed just for the dog to turn on him and bark still the whole house knows he's doing shit.
Will sometimes bribe her with food to try to get Elsa to choose him over his other brothers and it will usually work since she's so food driven.
Overall, Elsa makes this man feel important and gets Mammon addicted to the feeling.
Leviathan:
This dog knows how to make him feel guilty and he hates it.
He can't even eat a meal without her staring at him.
Feels like she thinks he's some monster who would starve her just 'cause he eats his own food.
Elsa's big eyes are good at this so it's not just Levi.
The envy demon also hates when she tries to come into his room.
Levi isn't worried she'll mess with his stuff or anything like that since she's such a good dog.
However, his room is stuffed with things that could crush the tiny girl if they fell
And this man has too much anxiety to chance it
So instead she cries outside his bedroom till eventually she fall asleep against his door.
Almost stepped on her while leaving his room once and this dude still hasn't forgiven himself.
Overall is very anxious about her size and just tries to distance himself from what he sees as an incredibly fragile little thing.
Satan:
This man is a cat lover; we all know this.
Still, he treats Elsa nice enough.
Will sometimes have to excuse himself when she cries too much.
It really gets on his nerves and the Avatar of Wrath knows his limits at this point.
Will pet her and call her a good girl, but that is the extent of his interactions with her.
Another brother worried about Elsa coming into their room.
Satan has so many books and many cursed books.
The poor girl could get severely hurt if a pile fell on her
And there's always the risk of a curse one touching her and then Satan will have to explain to MC why her precious pup is now a baby chick or something like that.
It's just safer to keep her out.
Overall, Satan is good to her, but overall disinterested.
Asmodeus:
Omg she's too perfect!!!
Gushes over the furbaby and spoils her with love.
Will refuse to let her on his lap if she's been outside recently though; Elsa has dirtied his clothes like this in the past and it upset the lust demon when his favorite pants got mud on them.
Is usually the brother ready to snuggle her when she cries.
Overall, Asmo loves Elsa very much and will always give her the affection she craves.
Beelzebub:
The man who can never put her down.
This dog just activates his Daddy instincts and he can't help but take care of her.
Is literally terrified of stepping on her; he is a big man and she is a tiny girl after all.
This is a part of why he holds her so much; if she's in his arms then she can never be hurt.
Plus hugging her makes him oh so happy 🥺💕
Is the brother that helps with most of Elsa's needs.
Beel will trim her nails for MC, despite Elsa's loud wails the entire time like she's being murdered (she hates her paws being touched). It hurts his heart, but he knows it's good for her.
Will sometimes help MC give her a bath, but not always.
Her cry is extra sad and pathetic, enough to break the hearts of anyone within hearing distance and it's too much for Beely 😢
Finds it funny afterwards when she refuses the towel and dries herself on the carpet (she rolls around and does a funny dancer essentially) while staring at MC with accusatory eyes.
Unfortunately, Beel is always one to sneak her food as well 😅
Elsa is a bit overweight and the vet wants her to lose some pounds but this girl is always hungry.
For obvious reasons, this man empathizes with her and can't help but sneak her some dog-safe food at times.
Overall, Beel fell in love. MC may be this dog's mama but he wants to be the daddy so bad.
Please MC 🥺👉👈
Belphegor:
Gets annoyed with her easily and can say some pretty mean things to her.
Belphie doesn't mean it though! Boy is just grouchy when woken up and Elsa tends to do that a lot.
She can't jump on beds by herself so cries and cries till she is finally placed on it.
Once the pup snuggles up with him to join him for his nap, the sloth demon immediately feels like an ass.
Belphie is also the one Elsa runs to when there's a thunderstorm.
She'll hide under the blankets with Belphie and he'll do his best to stay awake long enough to give the shaking dog some comfort.
Overall, likes her but gets annoyed by her a lot.
Diavolo:
This man gets so excited when MC brings Elsa to the castle!
Barb has zero chance of getting the prince to do work when the sweet pup visits with her mama lol
Honestly, this man is probably one of the few Elsa bonds with the quickest.
Dia is just so happy and showers her in love and treats (he always has an excuse for MC for why it's perfectly fine for Elsa to have so many treats 'just this once').
Elsa will literally run to this man the very second she sees him.
This little girl loves her 'Uncle Dia' so much (and boy, does Diavolo love being called that 🥰)
Barb takes the interruption to the prince's work schedule in stride
And even will uses it a motivator to get the man through his paperwork without staring out the window for like ten minutes at a time.
Will often make deals like 'like finish x amount of papers today and I will ask MC to bring Elsa tomorrow afternoon and bam, the work is done in lightning speed.
Elsa is more of a help than a hindrance to the prince's work so it all works out well 🥰🤭
Overall, Dia loves Elsa to bits and wishes she could visit more.
Barbatos:
Honestly, this man is no where near as close to Elsa as he was was with Beanie.
He finds Elsa cute and a good motivator for Diavolo, but a bit of a trouble maker.
Elsa doesn't quite understand what the Little Ds around the castle are, but assumes they are strange animals.
She'll snarl and try chasing the Little Ds, only for some to push her back or scare her off, resulting in her running to Barbatos and hiding behind his leg as she shakes.
This prompts Barb to frown and make a small sigh before kneeling down and comforting the scared pup.
Elsa causes problems for herself and expects help from the butler; this is no different from some people he knows and so he is used to it.
I'll admit, he never completely got over the time she tracked her muddy footprints all over the castle after being in the garden on a damp day, but blames MC more than he blames the ignorant pup.
Overall, Barb likes Elsa, but is less than thrilled about some aspects of her.
Solomon:
Honestly finds the dog precious.
It takes a while for Elsa to get familiar with him and not let her fear of men include him though.
Solomon was patient though and had no issues with waiting.
Didn't go out his way to bribe or force affection onto Elsa; just let time do its thing.
Even once the two started bonding, Elsa would bark every time he comes into House of Lamentation.
Solomon just laughs it off and say HoL has a pretty good security system now.
Despite the rather loud greeting, the dog always has to sit on his lap for a bit and will whine to rush him to sit down.
Overall, Solomon likes Elsa and thinks she's funny.
Simeon:
#1 pet sitter right here.
This angel sees Elsa as one of the most precious beings he's ever seen and is always up for pet sitting when need be.
Despite her fear of men, Elsa was never the least bit scared of Simeon.
Why that is, MC has no clue, but it definitely made some of the other men jealous in the beginning.
Just Simeon's name alone will make the dog run to the door and whine, making her think he's here to visit her.
His name becomes a trigger word the residents of HoL have to spell in order not to hype her up for disappointment
Just for Elsa to somehow associate the spoken letters of his name to his name and react the same.
How the hell is this dog so good at spelling???
(She legit is. Spell 'treat' around her and she will lose her shit; idk man she is too smart for her own good lol)
They literally just have to refer to him as 'the angel' when he's not around, a fact that Simeon finds funny.
Overall, Simeon loves the sweet pup dearly and Elsa loves him to a degree that shocks others lol
Luke:
!!!!!!!!!!!
The best of friends, through and through.
Luke practically fell in love with the dog instantly and Elsa loves older kids so the feeling was mutual.
(She doesn't like toddlers because of the time my nephew hit her when he was two, but loves older kids who know how to be gentle).
Often begs MC to let him to sleepover HoL for a night so he can spend more time with Elsa and even snuggle her while he falls asleep.
Will also bake her peanut butter treats, a favorite of hers 💕
These two are freaking cute together and no one is immune to it.
Overall: Besties. What more can I say?

Previously on: Braving the Elements
In the latest episode of the official Avatar-verse podcast, hosted by Janet Varney (va for Korra), we heard from Elsa Garagarza and Angela Song Mueller, both of whom worked on the show. Bryan Konietzko was also present and this exchange happened when asked about ships:
JV: Ships! Any ships that you like, that you lean into, in the course of Avatar?
ASM: Elsa? Do you have a-? [laughing]
EG: You know what? I was very shallow so I always liked the zutara ship [laughing] because they were both tall and handsome, so I always shipped them together, but that was so shallow. But no, my favorite ship will always be k@t@@ng, so [he] ended up being quite a handsome man.
ASM: Yeah!
JV: That’s very true.
EG: I just go with the classics.
ASM: Yeah, I—Zutara for me. I don’t know, there’s something about the 12 year old or 11 year old falling in love I felt was a little like…mmmm, you know? Seeing my kids around that age right now too, it’s just a little like, I’m not ready for them falling in love [laughs].
JV: I hear ya, it’s been a large topic, I mean for being quote-unquote shallow, it’s been a real topic of conversation on Braving the Elements because a lot of people feel that way, a lot of people feel like— A@ng really feels— of course he goes through something as well, but it’s true, it can be hard for us to overcome his first moment of seeing Katara and us kind of going: Aww! Versus…
ASM: Yeah
JV: …you know, the energy between Katara and Zuko, but uh—
BK: Bad boy doesn’t always win y’all!
[laughing]
JV: He’s not that bad!
BK: I’m filling the roll of Dante right now—
ASM: I love this
[more laughing]
JV: He’s not that bad. [doing her best impression of Dante Basco] Bad boy doesn’t always win.
BL: He hired an assassin to kill Aang!
ASM: I mean…
BK: Is she just supposed to look over that on their date? You know?
JV [as Dante]: This guy…
BK: Like, “remember that time you hired an assassin?”
JV [still as Dante]: Listen, his—he had a dad that was not cool, umm. [Bryan laughing] His dad was very bad, he had to overcome that.
Regular JV: I mean listen, I could do that forever, I’m not gonna put you all, or Dante through my impression of him forever.
[all giggling]
End of topic.
I just found some things interesting. First of all, I was squirming in my seat knowing that Bryan was there, just waiting for his response! And he did what I expected which was to completely disregard Zuko’s entire arc lol!
Zuko≠bad boy!!! #zukoisaturtleduck
And zutara as ‘shallow’? But @@ng grows up to be handsome! That’s not shallow?? That argument never made any sense to me since it’s the other way around!
I do commend Janet, ever the diplomatic avatar, still fighting that zutara fight! Incidentally, she has stated on the show that she also ships zutara (and I just love her). It’s always interesting to me to hear from the people who worked on the show, especially around br¥k£.
Thoughts? Does anyone else listen to this podcast? Will I be able to sleep tonight? Find out next time on: struggling through life!

Take a Shot, Take a Chance
Prompt by @ravinewreyn :
"Is that the best that you can do?"
Warning: Alcohol use. Drink responsibly, people!
Note: Look, I know this prompt is OLD, hence why this isn't posted in @written-by-ariddletobesolved, but I feel like finishing it so here we go. I do hope it's decent. Enjoy! ♥️
Tumblr media
"Take a shot!"
"I can take three!"
"No way, Anna, that's too many."
"No, it's not! You're just weak, Elsa."
"Yes, Elsa, you're just weak."
Elsa looks around, eyes darting from Kristoff—her sister's boyfriend, to Anna—her sister, before settling on the auburn haired young man who happened to tag along with the group. Hans. The latter was smirking, and Elsa narrowed her eyes in distaste.
The four of them were sharing a round table in the corner of a crowded pub. It was supposed to be a weekly girl's night for the sisters, until Anna saw her boyfriend and one of his housemates there in the pub. Inviting Kristoff also means inviting Hans, there was no other choice which sounded like a torture for Elsa.
"Me, weak?" She scoffs. "Pfft, never!"
To say that Elsa doesn't like Hans is an understatement. She strongly dislikes him for a lot of reasons.
He is a spoiled and snobbish man child, who only cares about himself. He might be 25, but sometimes he acts like a 15 year old.
Hans shrugged. "Says the one who sprained her ankle after a few shots of vodka. It was like a double loss for you, Elsa."
At the reminder, Elsa scowled. She grew even more annoyed when the memory of her getting wasted the last time they went out flashed on her mind. Her blue eyes were on the wooden round table the four of them were sharing, glaring at the two rows of shot glasses containing clear liquor.
"Well, accidents happen. Besides, I already had a glass of Long Island Iced Tea that time before the game even started, so I had a good amount of booze in my system." She looked up, the corner of her mouth curving into a smirk. "Why, do you want a rematch?"
"Do you?"
"See, now you're scared of the potential loss, aren't you?"
Hans shook his head. "No, Elsa, I just don't want you to hurt yourself this time."
"Stop pretending that you care, Hans, it's so out of character."
There was a pause, and Elsa watched as something like hurt reflected on his eyes, only briefly, before he grinned. She frowned, not liking that look on his face, because that would mean Anna was right, that Hans might care about her more then he liked to admit.
"Alright then, whatever the queen says," Hans said, before downing one shot, prompting Elsa to do the same. "One."
"Are we playing by the same rules as before, that whoever drinks the most consecutive drinks in fifteen seconds wins, and the winner gets a week's worth of chocolate bars, yeah?" Anna said, eyeing the two competitors.
"Yes!"
"No!"
The two replied at the same time. Elsa raised an eyebrow. "Huh, why not?"
"I figured we should start slow, instead of fifteen seconds, what about thirty seconds?" He proposed, turning to Anna and Kristoff.
"Well, that can be arranged." Anna replied, flashing her sister a knowing smile, which was returned with a set of narrowed eyes. She then turned to her boyfriend and said, "Right, Kristoff?"
"That's fair." The blond guy nodded. "We have a lightweight in here."
"I am not!" Elsa scolded him.
Hans grinned, before adding, "Oh, and also, I propose the winner gets not only one week's worth of chocolate bars, but also something else." There was a mischievous smile at the end of the sentence, one that was enough to make Elsa roll her eyes.
"I swear if it's a prank-"
But before she could finish, Hans quickly said, "Go out with me." He then added, "It's a request."
The blonde was stunned, keeping her guard up as numerous thoughts ran through her head. Is he being serious? Stealing a glance at her sister, she caught a hint of 'told you so' on her face, and Elsa glared in return. Nope, he is not being serious, just like that time when he was offering her a ride home from the library. He loved to tease her, so there was no way he was being decent and well-intentioned.
Their eyes met, as Elsa observed him closely, amused and intrigued. Something told her she should just take a chance, so she did.
"Fine," she rolled her eyes.
The drinking game started with Kristoff preparing ten shots of vodka in front of each competitor. Hans led with seven shots in thirty minutes while Elsa, who was trying to get used to the burning sensation in her throat, only got to down five shots.
"Well, looks like I'm gonna win." Hans smirked, sliding his hand into his pocket. "Any plans on surrendering and just go out with me?"
"Not a chance. I propose we trade shots for beer, how does that sound?" Elsa raised an eyebrow.
Shots may not be her speciality, but she loves beer. She can probably get an upper hand on the next round.
"As long as we have shots and beer in the last round. Just because you can't take shots doesn't mean you can change the rules."
As if on cue, Kristoff and Anna came from the bar carrying two pints of beer each.
"Did anyone say beer?"
Elsa scowled when she saw her sister's teasing smile. "Ugh, fine, whoever finish these pints of beer first get to win this round. Then we have similar rules like the first round with beer and shots."
"Deal."
On the second round, Elsa didn't slack, finishing two pints like she's drinking water. Nine seconds. That was her record. By the time she put down the glass, the blond was all giggling at the fact that Hans was struggling to finish his second pint. Hans is not a beer guy.
"A tie." Elsa winked, body swaying as she began to feel the effect of alcohol in her system in just under thirty minutes.
"Oh, is that the best that you can do?"
"Nah, that's why we're starting the third round."
"No break, princess?"
"No!" Elsa scoffed, before pointing his finger at him. "And don't call me that."
Hans only chuckled, amused at her antics. She looked like an angry kitten, and he found it cute when she was scowling at him, pouting with a frown.
A pint of beer and three shots of vodka. By now Elsa was sure she had crossed her drinking number. She knew she should have stopped after two rounds, but there's no way she would surrender, to Hans no less. She wouldn't go down without a fight, and so she did. And she lost.
Her head started to pound when she downed the last shot, and Anna handed her a water bottle, helping her to sip from the bottle. It felt refreshing, yet the bitter taste remained on her tongue. Her face flushed, hot with drunkenness and embarrassment, when she way the teasing smile on Hans' face.
"Well, fuck." She muttered under her breath.
"Ouch, language, missy!" He grinned in triumphant. "I guess I'll see you next Saturday?"
"What choice do I have, really?"
"Aww, don't be like that, Elsa. I promise I'll make it memorable for you," he said as he leaned closer to her stool.
His emerald eyes glimmered under the dim light. He was so close, well, too close for her liking. She could smell his musky cologne, strong and expensive, it's the same scent in his car which she recalled from when he drove her home that one time. Her lips curved into a smile as she boldly traced her fingertips on the collar of his shirt, the fabric rough under her skin.
Leaning in, she whispered close to his ear, "Well, then, Hans, I'd like to see you try."
She probably needed to blame the alcohol because suddenly, taking a chance with him no longer sounded like a bad idea.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AIDEN PEARCE | WATCH DOGS; this man embodies older brother rage and it resonates so hard. like. the protectiveness over his remaining family. the fact he acknowledges (even if a bit harshly at times) that he is a bad guy. the fact he thinks he is utterly irredeemable… obsessed with him and his funky sense of fashion
APOLLYON | FOR HONOR; bastard woman. but i love her for it. her backstory doesn't get a lot of mention and i constantly think about how being a child when her family and such was slaughtered, and to have seen how the man who swore to protect them simply turned his back… i just. the way she's grown into someone who is willing to maintain the presence and intensity of war just to showcase its brutality. the way she took said man's armor and forged it to be her own. her brain!!! she is evil and i support women's wrongs o7
ARCADE GANNON | FALLOUT; the original "just like me fr" character, and one of the first canonically queer characters i had exposure to. my favorite companion always. his personality? incredible. his backstory? tragic. his humor? dry and awful, but i still love it and love him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
DR. VIKTOR VEKTOR | CYBERPUNK; literally the character with the most transmasc swag i think i have ever witnessed in a game. like. genuinely. this man is trans to me and i am just so head over heels for this old man and his humor and his genuine care for those within his circle
ELSA WOLCOTT | WILSON'S HEART VR; underrated game and underrated character. genuinely. she is such a good character. i love the whole "parent who will do anything and everything for their child" trope (see: my inclusion of sam fisher and, by extension, aiden pearce). but like genuinely, elsa is such a tragic character when you look past the humor of the plot (re: the game being a mish-mash of horror tropes). i wish she coulda had a redemption arc q0q
MAJOR JACK KRAUSER | RESIDENT EVIL; bastard man. but i love him for it. the dynamic he has with leon (aka his obsession over his former ally) is so… man!!!! he also has transmasc energy and i really don't know how to explain it. he just. does
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OBI-WAN KENOBI | STAR WARS; my first fictional crush fr, but also he is just. the character ever. the things he's been through, the way he uses them to better himself. the way he tries so hard to be a good man for everyone around him… obsessed
PUNISHED "VENOM" SNAKE | METAL GEAR; i am so normal about this man (lie) and the fact that he is a shell of his former self that has been molded to fit another's perfect image in an attempt to achieve a greater cause (one that would inevitably become corrupted and lead to his own death) and i just. mm. obsessed again
SAM BECKER | FAR CRY; underrated fave. i love sam's bombastic personality and how it stems from the fact that, after facing tragedy and having to adapt a role that makes him complicit in shit, he finally feels hope at things getting better (at least that's how i see it). he is my tragic little meow meow and i am still so sad about his death. i literally know it happens and every time i play the game i start getting so :((((
SAM FISHER | SPLINTER CELL; i discovered him while playing ghost recon and then he single-handedly shot me into the splinter cell series and now i am rotating him in my brain always. his character arc is one of my favorites, and a scene that always plays in my head is the one in conviction when he finds out the truth about his daughter's disappearance like. ugh!! plus i just love very involved and protective father figure characters (if you haven't noticed the trend on this list. and if you did? shush <;3)

If not for you
Leaning against his father’s car, Kristoff waited patiently for him to come out of the police station. Since early morning Kai had been trying to contact Anders or anyone at the police station who could help him find information about Marshall. For some reason Kristoff ignored, he’d had a hard time finding someone available when he called, forcing him to wait until things were settled in the office. And once they finally called back, they suggested he picked the information up in person.
Kristoff suspected his colleagues only wanted to find out the reason Kai needed it so urgently. It wasn’t unusual, after all, to check what the officers did when they requested information off the clock. Kristoff was thankful for that, especially since Kai couldn’t pretend barging into Marshall’s house was work related.
The wait at home that morning had given Kristoff enough time to explain to his parents everything he knew. He had talked about Marshall and his version of the story, as well as Elsa’s – from what he’d heard from Anna. He’d mention their quarrel in his apartment and why Elsa had finally made up her mind to go after him and talk. It had helped Gerda calm down and not worry so much, but for some reason, Kai hadn’t accepted his version of the story. He was convinced there was more to it and that had led to them quarrelling for a few minutes. Nonetheless, Kristoff had decided to accompany him – against Kai’s wishes – once the police station called. He wanted to prevent things from getting out of hand.
Even though his father was a down to earth and civilised man, someone who’d rarely use his position in the police force to get what he wanted; Kristoff was certain he wouldn’t doubt using it when Elsa was involved. After all, Elsa’s wellbeing had always been the reason he had seen his father stepping out of line in the past.
The sound of the big oaken door pulled Kristoff from his thoughts and he watched his father walk down the steps, still talking to one of his colleagues. “Thanks. I will,” he said, loudly. His tone of voice was friendly enough, but Kristoff knew he was tired of the conversation at that point. It was almost impossible for his father to hide how much chit chatting annoyed him.
“I've got the information that I need,” Kai then said to him. He showed a piece of paper with some information written on it, and before Kristoff had the chance to read what it said, he put it inside his pocket. “If Elsa shows up, call Anders.”
Trying to match his father’s stride as he walked to the vehicle, Kristoff said, “Wait, what do you mean ‘if she shows up’?”
Before opening the car’s door, Kai looked at his son over his shoulder and said, “You’re going home. Tell Gerda I’ll be back in an hour or two.”
“Kai, for the last time, I’m coming with you.” He watched his father get inside the car, ignoring what he had to say. He hurried to the other side and got in as well. “Marshall's not to blame for what happened. And I'm sure Elsa must be at the mountain. You know she spends a lot of time hiking when she's not feeling okay.”
“Let me ask you something,” Kai calmly said, as he fastened his seatbelt. “Have you ever seen Hålkesen lose his temper?”
“What?”
“Has he become irrationally angry in front of you or Elsa?” He clarified.
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“Yes or no.”
His father might have seemed calmer than before, but his patience was not nearly close to what it usually was. Choosing it was best not to get on his bad side, he decided to be honest. “Yes.”
“That’s all I needed to hear.” He started the car and began driving.
“No, wait,” Kristoff said the moment the car left the police station. “It was an unfair situation, anyone would have reacted—”
“What happened?”
Once again, he noticed that his father’s questioning was calm and collected, but it only worried him more. “Westegaard had just fired him, he was mad at his son. Where are you going?”
“To talk to him.”
“Please, let's try to find Elsa without jumping to conclusions.” He had no idea what Kai had found out, but it was best to stop him and worry about one thing at the time. To his disappointment, he continued driving, his mind set on one specific goal: finding Marshall.
Not feeling comfortable with his father’s idea, he tried to call his attention, “Dad. Dad,” he repeated when he realised he was being ignored. “Da– Kai! What the hell is wrong with you? You don’t ever act like this.”
“He spent a few days in prison five years ago,” he said, not taking his eyes off the road.
“What?”
Noticing the way he tightened his grip on the steering wheel, Kristoff worried about the answer he could give him. He had to admit he hadn’t liked Marshall at the beginning either. Two years ago, he’d have been on his father’s side. But the man who had sat with him yesterday was not a bad person. A madman prone to make mistakes? Certainly. But not someone who was inherently bad. He was certain of it now, and he had to admit Elsa had been right all along. His sister knew, subconsciously, the way a bad person acted and behaved. Even if her social skills were below standard, she had a way of knowing; and she was rarely mistaken.
“He beat a man to a pulp while he was working as a paramedic. The hospital terminated his contract immediately.”
“…that can’t be right.” Deep down he knew it could certainly be true. Marshall had scared him that night at Hans’ house. But he’d try to make sure Marshall didn’t end up on his father’s bad side.
Stopping the car abruptly on the side of the road, Kai turned to him and said, “if you don’t want to believe me, save my time and get out of the car.” Suddenly losing the last traces of patience.
“Wait, Kai, please,” he said, understanding it was best to accept whatever his father was telling him, and be there for him just in case things didn’t go as well as he was hoping. “I’m baffled, that’s it.
Even if he knew his father was overreacting, Kristoff tried to put himself in his father’s shoes for a moment. He had seen his mother struggle with the idea of losing Elsa when the whole ordeal with the Arendelles started, and now he was seeing his father go through the same. The ‘threat’ was different, but their main concern was just the same. He knew how much Kai adored Elsa and what she meant to him. Kristoff may have been their first kid; the one they’ve chosen. But Elsa was the closest thing they had to the daughter they had once lost. Even if Gerda had tried to deny it, he knew they had adopted a boy not to be constantly reminded of their unborn daughter. A couple of years later, however, when Elsa came into their lives, they realised having a daughter actually helped them. And they allowed her to fill that place in their hearts.
“Let me go with you,” Kristoff said, hoping Kai would see he was honest about wanting to help. He was relieved to see his father start the car once again, and decided to stay quiet until he was needed.
---
Once he arrived at what he believed was her parents' house, Marshall hurried to get Elsa inside as soon as possible. During the car drive, he had kept a close look on her and noticed she was getting weaker at an alarming rate. The walk to the car from his cabin had only worsened her condition, even if he had been supporting her weight the whole time.
"Els? We're here," he said when he opened her door. She was with her eyes tightly closed and she kept the blanket as close to her as possible. "Come on, let me—" He tried to help her move but she put her hand over his. To his surprise, her hand wasn’t cold as it usually was.
"I don't feel so good." Her voice was soft and he wasn't sure if she was mumbling so as not to worsen her headache or if the fever was making her struggle with her words.
"Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital?"
Glassy eyes looked back at him with determination, and Marshall couldn't believe she'd put up a fight against the idea even in her state. "I can't. I want to go home."
"Okay." It was against his better judgement, but he still took her words as a command. Help me get home. He'd do that for her and then he'd try to convince her family. "Let me help you get inside."
She struggled to move even in the slightest, and Marshall helped her support her weight again. He made sure there wasn't any ice or snow around her, and they began walking. They were a few steps away from the front door when Elsa spoke again, surprising him.
"They're mad at me," she said, her voice almost too low for him to hear.
"Who?"
"Kai and Gerda," she said, with a dry laugh. "I keep lying to them, but they already know I can't control my powers."
"I’m sure they aren’t mad at you." He had no idea what else to say. He barely knew her family, after all. But he was certain it was the fever speaking, and it wasn’t something she believed. "Come on."
"Am I snowing?"
He checked again, making sure there wasn't a trail of snow behind them. He took the opportunity to make sure there weren't any neighbours looking at them. "No. Don't worry about it."
"It should be snowing."
"You’re not snowing," he repeated, hoping she'd help him and walk the short distance to the door.
"I’ve got to—" She stopped abruptly and looked at him. "I think I need the snow."
"Elsa, you’re not making much sense. Please, walk. I can’t pick you up right now." His injured arm stopped him from carrying her the rest of the way, and so he gave a few long strides forcing Elsa to follow.
“I wouldn’t even find the door,” Elsa said when they finally reached the main door.
“What?”
“Without you.” She leaned onto him. “Thank you.”
He smiled and hugged Elsa close with his good arm, trying to offer some comfort. He then knocked and they waited in silence for someone to open.
"Mrs Bjorgman, I—" He tried to explain the situation as soon as the door opened, but Gerda was quick to react when her eyes fell on her sick daughter.
"Oh my God! What's going on?"
"Elsa's not feeling well. She's got a temperature. The options were taking her to the ER or here, and she insisted I brought her here."
"Temperature?" she asked, still trying to understand who he was and why Elsa’s eyes couldn’t stay focused. She then put her hand on Elsa's forehead to check it for herself. "My goodness, child. You’re burning!"
Elsa leaned on her mother for support when she felt her hand on her face. Gerda tried to stabilise her, but Elsa fell on her arms as dead weight.
"Easy," Marshall said, holding Elsa again and preventing both women from falling to the ground. "Let me help you get to a chair. Don’t crush your mother."
"Over the sofa, please," Gerda said. She closed the door and was soon by Marshall's side. "What happened?"
"Her hand is badly infected." It was a good thing he had met Gerda once before, since it helped him talk and explain himself, overcoming the awkwardness of the situation. "She wasn’t feeling well when she woke up this morning. I suggested she rest for a few more hours but it didn't help. It was a moderate fever an hour ago, but now I’m not so sure."
Gerda sat by Elsa's side and placed her hand on her forehead once again. She grimaced at the heat radiating from her daughter. "How high?"
"Thirty-nine degrees."
"Thirty-nine?" Gerda exclaimed, turning to look at him.
Surprised by her worried expression he said, “It’s high but there’s no reason to alarm.”
"This is not moderate. Elsa's body temperature is a degree or two lower than average." She moved Elsa's wet bangs away from her eyes and called her name. Elsa opened her eyes and did her best to hold her mother's gaze. Gerda offered her a small reassuring smile in return.
Had he known before, he would have done things differently. He felt like an idiot for letting Elsa convince him she was okay when the opposite was clear. Elsa's fever had been affecting her a lot more than he expected and now he understood why.
"Please keep an eye on her." Gerda's voice distracted him from his thoughts and by the time he nodded his head, she had already disappeared through a door.
Marshall sat down next to her and he apologised for not helping her sooner. Elsa's unfocused eyes looked at him for a brief moment and she smiled, making him feel better. At least for a short moment.
"Gerda?" she asked, and Marshall's worry increased. She was losing track of simple events going on around her.
"She’ll be back in a moment," Marshall said, caressing her back.
"I’ve got to—"
"Whatever it is you're thinking, you won't." Marshall ordered, putting his hand on her shoulder and stopping her from going after Gerda. He knew she wouldn't go far in her state, but the last thing he needed was for her to fall face first onto the ground.
"I found some antipyretic drugs," Gerda announced as she returned to the living room with a first-aid kit and a cold compress in her hands.
Marshall watched her tend to Elsa, offering a pill and some water that she reluctantly accepted. "Mrs Bjorgmam—”
“Gerda,” she reminded him. “Please, call me Gerda.”
He nodded, understanding her request, and continued, “Elsa insisted I brought her here, but I think it'd be best to take her to the ER. I've got my car outside."
"Don't worry,” Gerda said, patting his knee. “I'll call Nielsen. He'll know what to do."
"Nielsen…" He remembered the name clearly. He had been the director at the hospital the time he had worked there. A respectable doctor who had great knowledge and a calmness he envied. "You mean Dr. Nielsen? Isn't he retired?"
"He still treats some special patients." Gerda explained as she placed the cold compress on Elsa's neck, making her shiver. When she tried to get away from the cold, Gerda stopped her. "I need to lower your temperature."
"How can you stand this every day?" Elsa asked, her eyes tightly shut.
"What, dear?"
"The cold. It's unbearable." She breathed out.
Gerda and Marshall's eyes softened. They couldn't really imagine what it was for her to start feeling the cold so suddenly. Her body was a puzzle they couldn't comprehend and it made helping her a lot more complicated.
"It isn't always like this, sweetheart." Gerda moved the compress to make sure it didn't fall when Elsa’s body trembled, and so she asked Marshall to hold it while she called Nielsen.
Marshall did what he was told, and even if he knew there wasn’t much he could be doing, he couldn't stay still. He wasn't sure if it was his instinct kicking in, but he couldn't agree with Gerda's idea. He wanted to pick Elsa up and take her to the ER as soon as possible.
"Are you okay?" he asked Elsa when he saw her leaning forward.
"I feel sick." She said in between laboured breaths.
"Gerda’s calling someone."
"Am I snowing?"
"No," he said after looking around the room to make sure she wasn't. "Why are you so worried about—" He tried to ask, but Elsa interrupted him by pushing his hand away. She then extended her good hand in front of her like she had done the day before. This time, ice and snow didn’t manifest and a pained expression drew on her face. "What are you doing?"
"Elsa," Gerda called after her daughter from the other side of the room. She was still in the middle of the phone call but she rushed to her side and put her hand over Elsa's. "You've got a high fever. Don't force it. You know it's no good."
"Gerda, I don't feel so good," Elsa said, unsure of what to do.
Sitting down next to her again, Gerda put her arm around her shoulders and kissed her temple. “I know. But, please, don’t try to use your powers.”
This seemed to calm Elsa to some extent and she leaned onto her. Gerda checked on her once more and then continued her conversation. "Yes, I'm here. It’s an infection… I suppose."
"Lymphangitis," Marshall said. He remembered a case he had helped treat while he was still working in the hospital.
"What?"
"Check her arm."
Gerda did and noticed the red streak that contrasted clearly with Elsa’s pale skin. "Jonnas, please, I need you to come check on her," she begged. "She’ll need antibiotics as soon as possible. No. No snow, she just took a pill. I know. I know. We will."
Hanging up the phone, she turned to him and said, "he said he's coming." Noticing her daughter was almost asleep against her shoulder, she sighed and asked for his help once again. "Help me take her to her room before the antipyretic starts working and the ice becomes uncontrollable."
---
"Let me know if anything changes tonight. I don't trust this to go smoothly," Nielsen said to Gerda as they exited Elsa’s room. Tending to Elsa had proven to be harder than they both originally imagined, and Nielsen wasn’t feeling too optimistic.
From the very beginning, Gerda and the doctors involved in Elsa’s case had noticed a peculiar phenomenon occurring whenever her temperature rose above average. As the temperature increased, the ice and snow would recede and leave almost no trace in her body until the fever broke, or it was reduced with the help of medicine. Her powers would then react on their own, beyond Elsa’s control, making things difficult for whoever was trying to treat her. It had been a nerve-racking situation whenever it happened the first few years; but with time, Gerda and Nielsen had learnt to deal with it and knew what to expect.
This time, however, the drugs had kicked in sooner than expected, helping to lower her temperature on one hand, but causing her powers to start reacting before Elsa’s infected injury was properly treated. Not being able to control her powers made Elsa more nervous and a cycle started in which the powers became more and more uncontrollable, forcing Nielsen to take more serious measures to ensure they could help her. To their disappointment, the only safe alternative had been sedating Elsa against her will.
“Call me first thing in the morning. I want to know how the infection develops.” He picked his pen and wrote a prescription. “Here are the antibiotics she'll need to take,” he finally said, handing it to Gerda.
“These are quite strong,” she said, frowning. “She won't like the way they make her feel.”
“It's either this,” Nielsen said, pointing to the prescription. “Or admitting her to the hospital. And I’m certain you’d like to avoid that.”
Gerda couldn't do anything but agree with him. With the way things had gone just a moment before, she knew taking Elsa to the hospital would probably end up in disaster.
“Excuse me, Dr. Nielsen,” Marshall interrupted before the doctor had a chance to leave. “Was lying to her necessary?”
Marshall had stood by Elsa’s side when she had begged not to be given any tranquillisers, and he had only changed his mind when Nielsen convinced them both they’d only use local anaesthesia. As Gerda had expected, Elsa had fallen asleep in less than a minute, and Marshall disapproval had been obvious. He had remained quiet, though, refraining himself from saying anything at that moment. Part of Gerda felt proud Marshall was fighting for Elsa’s rights now that things were under control, and she felt guilty for not having explained to them what Nielsen was really about to do.
“Her powers can't be controlled. The tiniest mistake could result in one of us getting hurt,” Jonnas said, not feeling in the mood to explain himself. “Explaining the situation to other doctors or police officers is a lot more stressful than falling asleep, trust me.”
“I understand that but—”
“Trust me,” he repeated, letting Marshall know his decisions were not up for debate. “Oh, and, Hålkesen?”
Gerda could see his cold, sharp eyes glaring at Jonnas in disapproval, but still he remained quiet, limiting himself to answer his question. “Yes?”
“I don't know what you know about Elsa, but not a word to anyone. Am I clear?”
Gerda sighed in relief when Marshall nodded, his expression serious and trustworthy. It was clear that beyond his anger he could understand Elsa's situation was more delicate than he could comprehend.
Once Jonnas had left, Gerda closed the door behind him and turned to look at the young man still standing in her living room. She had only met Marshal briefly once; and now, there he was helping her take care of Elsa and agreeing to keep silent about things he probably couldn’t understand.
“Thank you for your help today,” she said, honestly. “You did the right thing by bringing her home.”
“This isn't the first time things like this have happened, is it?”
“You mean the infection?” Gerda said, as she began tidying up the living room. The first thing she did was fold Marshall’s blanket and lay it neatly on a small table, then she continued with her first-aid kit. Keeping busy helped her order her thoughts about everything that had happened since Elsa showed up at her door that rainy Sunday.
“I meant having Nielsen take care of her instead of going to the hospital.”
“Sadly, no,” she admitted. There was no point in keeping information from him at that point. After all, he had helped not only Elsa, but Jonnas and her too with everything they needed. “You may have noticed that taking care of Elsa is… ”
“Extremely complicated?” he said with a dry laugh.
Gerda nodded her head and felt grateful that he was understanding their situation so well. It wasn’t easy to accept that Nielsen and she had avoided taking Elsa to the hospital as much as possible during those years. It even felt like they were denying Elsa proper care. Anybody could blame them if they wanted. But Marshall seemed mature enough to understand it was for the best. “We try to avoid going to crowded places for this reason. You never know who could find out about her… abilities and try to harm her.”
“Why would anyone try to harm her?” he asked, in deep thought. Gerda found it endearing that he couldn’t comprehend why someone would try to do it. It let her see the person he was underneath and made her happy to know Elsa had found a good man in that lonely mountain.
“I need to stay alert in case Elsa needs me. Would you like to keep me company while I wait for her to wake up?” She offered, hoping he’d accept. She was dying to meet him and see what had become of little Hålkesen after so many years. Part of her was hoping he’d remembered who she was.
“I thought you wouldn’t let me stay…”
“I'm sure Elsa would love to see you after everything you did.” She enjoyed watching him turn a deeper shade of red and she understood why Anna loved pestering Elsa so much about the mountaineer. “Please, stay. I’d like to talk to you if that's okay.”
---
For the next two hours, Marshall and Gerda stayed in the living room, keeping a close look on Elsa’s open door as they talked. From time to time one of them would take turns checking on her, even though they knew it would be a couple of hours until she woke up.
Talking to Marshall had been awkward at first, since their main topic of conversation was sleeping peacefully. However, Gerda had soon found a way to win him over by telling him who she was and what she remembered about his childhood and family. And to her surprise, as soon as he realised who she was, his shy and overly polite demeanour began to change. He became more talkative and even excited to mention a few things he remembered about her. He had spoken about her raspberry pies and even admitted to having lain in wait for her to show up at Oaken’s shop to offer her his help. Carrying groceries to get some pie in exchange was one of the things he loved about summer time.
Gerda had been delighted to know he still held her in high esteem, even if he hadn’t known her name. His whole life he had called her the “Pie lady” and that made Gerda extremely happy for some reason.
“How come you didn’t realise Elsa was my daughter?””
“I was a kid at the time,” he said with a sheepish smile. “I had no idea what your real name was or what you did for a living. All I remember was you spent some summers at the mountain and at the time you didn’t have kids who’d play with me.”
“What about the cottage?”
“They all looked the same when I was seven.”
“Well, it's true you were only a kiddo—” she began to say, but she got distracted by the sound of a key opening the front door.
Kai entered the house and only then did she remember the heated argument Kristoff and Kai had shared that very morning about Marshall. Everything that happened with Elsa had made her forget about her husband and son’s whereabouts and the fact they were after the man sitting next to her. She felt stupid for not trying to contact them, or at least let the police station Elsa was home, so they could use the radio to contact Kai.
"Gerda," he said as soon as he locked eyes with her. "I need your help—" He stopped as soon as he saw Marshall sitting by her side, and Gerda stood up, knowing he’d react before he thought things through.
"What are you doing here?” Kai asked, not giving Gerda a chance to say anything. And even she felt uncomfortable by the angered stare that he sent Marshall.
The young man stood up and looked at him unsure of what to do. Something told her he was waiting for her to do or say something first. She took a step forward and blocked Kai’s path. “Before you do or say anything, there’s something you need to know…”
Ignoring his wife’s request, he took a few steps closer to them all the time keeping his eyes fixed on Marshall. “Where is Elsa? You’re the last person she was seen with, and now—”
“Keep your voice down,” Gerda interrupted. She put a hand over his chest to try and calm him down. “She’s here. She wasn’t feeling well and so he brought her home.”
“Here?” Kai looked over Gerda’s head and in the direction of Elsa’s bedroom. The door that usually remained closed was now open.
“What happened?” Kristoff asked behind his father and only then she realised her son was there with them.
“She had a high fever. The wound in her hand is badly infected.”
“Bad enough for her to be in bed?” Kai asked, sceptical, his eyes falling on Marshall once again.
“Yes,” she said with a tired sigh. “Nielsen left an hour or so ago.” She knew there was a lot more she’d need to explain to them both, but all it mattered now was making sure Kai stopped targeting Marshall over something that was beyond his responsibility.
Walking past her, Kai stood in front of Marshall and asked, “What happened between Elsa and you? And where have you been?”
“Dad, for goodness sake,” said Krisotff exasperatedly. It was clear he had dealt with his father’s anxiousness all afternoon, and he had no more patience left. “He brought Elsa home. That’s all that matters.”
“You were looking for us?” Marshall asked, unsure why he was suddenly on Bjorgman’s bad side.
“I'm talking about the accident on Saturday.” Kai said, turning around to make sure Kristoff understood what he was talking about. “Elsa doesn't lose control of her powers that easily. He must have done something to her. And she wouldn’t disappear on her own either.”
Gerda paid close attention to the two young men and noticed the confused look they shared with each other. It was more than obvious they both agree Elsa disappearing was more common than Kai realised. Even Gerda herself knew that.
“I have no idea where Elsa’s been. And as I said the other day, I didn’t do anything.” Marshall said, annoyed he had become Kai’s scapegoat. “I told you to talk to Elsa the other night.”
“Look,” Kai said, taking a step closer to Marshall. “The realisation Elsa had hurt you got me by surprise the other day. I was desperate to come here and check on her. That’s why Anders and I let you off the hook easily. But I need an explanation now. A real one. What happened between you two?”
“I didn't hurt her.” Marshall’s seriousness left no place for an argument and Gerda worried it wouldn’t sit well with her husband.
“You had a fight. That much is clear.” Kai said with unfounded certainty. “The two of you ended up being hurt.” His voice steadily rose up and he pointed to Marshall’s injured arm to make his point clearer. “There was blood everywhere… Don’t try to minimise whatever it is you did!”
Marshall frowned at him. “I didn’t hurt her and we didn’t have a fight. Elsa and I—”
“Elsa did whatever was in her power to avoid you these last few days.”
“That isn't true!” Marshall spat, and Gerda could see the hurt in his eyes behind his anger. Kai wouldn't let Marshall explain himself and Gerda felt it was unfair.
“Okay. Enough of this. Stop.” Kristoff said, putting himself in between the two of them. “Elsa made a mistake, all right?" he said to his father. "She got hurt and lost control. Marshall got hurt because of it and ended up getting caught in all this mess.”
"Is that good enough for you? Or are you going to call your ridiculous partner to help you interrogate me?" Marshall barked, unable to control the anger he felt.
"For fuck’s sake, mate," Kristoff complained, pushing Marshall slightly to keep him at bay. "Shut up and let me talk."
Kai held Marshall's gaze until he decided it was best to deal with the mountaineer at some other time. Walking towards the door, he opened it wide and ordered, "I want you out of the house. Now."
"Kai, there’s no reason to—" Gerda tried to intervene.
"It’s okay, Gerda," Marshall said, his voice softer than before. "Thank you for your hospitality."
She watched him walk out the door and Gerda felt incredibly bad for him. She had seen the concern in his eyes when he brought Elsa home. She had seen the way her daughter relied on him when she was feeling weak or threatened, and that was enough for her to know he was incapable of hurting her. Not thinking twice about it, Gerda went after him.
She looked around and noticed the door of an old SUV closing with a loud bang. She got closer and saw Marshall hitting the steering wheel repeatedly. He was letting out his frustration on the car and Gerda thought it was best to stop him. She knocked on his window, and waited, hoping he'd listen to her.
When he finally turned to look at her, his tearful eyes made Gerda regret not saying something sooner. She knew she should’ve stopped Kai from throwing all the blame on him when they were all inside the house. "Please, open the door," Gerda said with a small, apologetic smile.
He didn't say anything; but to her relief, he rolled down the window and waited.
"I beg you to forgive my husband," she said even though she knew he wouldn't, at least not that night. "I know you care about Elsa and I can't thank you enough for that."
He looked at her for a moment, only to nod his head twice.
"I'll make sure she calls you once she wakes up."
He ended up thanking her for coming after him and he made her promise she’d let him know if Elsa needed help. She did and asked for his phone number. She then bid him goodbye and watched him go.
When Gerda got into the house, Kai informed her Kristoff was in Elsa’s room. They both had argued when she had left the house after Marshall, and Kristoff had chosen to go spend some time with his sister, even if she was still asleep.
Understanding her son’s feelings, she picked Marshall’s blanket that had been left forgotten on the small table and walked to Elsa’s room as well. She wanted to spend the rest of the evening with both her children and let Kai on his own, thinking about the things he had done wrong.
---
I think I like this chapter better than chapter 42. I personally didn’t like the way the previous one turned out and there are a few things I’d like to change (about my writing, not the plot itself), but I thought it was best to continue the story rather than start making small changes here or there.
I hope you enjoy this chapter as well as the ones before. Several things I opened over 10 chapters ago are starting to come together and that might make these following chapters kind of convoluted. I hope that doesn’t make them too slow paced, but I want to start closing things, you know.
You may have noticed that Kai may seem sort of OCC in this chapter. But I did it on purpose. See, I like to think of him as that kind of person who’s calm and collected until the day the people he cares about are in “danger”, even if the danger is created by his own anxiety. I think all the stress about seeing his daughter so out of sorts finally got to him. I also revealed a bit more why Kai and Gerda are so overprotective of Elsa all the time — besides the obvious reason that’s Elsa’s past, of course. When I began this story I wanted to give every character a “backstory” of their own, and now you know more about Kai’s and Gerda’s.
As always, let me know what you think of this chapter as well as the rest. Your opinions always help me know what I’m doing right and wrong, so keep them coming.
Hope you guys are doing perfectly well! Read you soon.
