rebecca wants a pet
this is just a silly little ditty but here <3
Amongst all these things and more, he has learned that she does not do subtlety. Her opinions, thoughts, wants are shared unflinchingly, in a way he admires as someone who tends towards pleasing others over himself. She doesn't demand and criticize but simply shares herself with him – her opinion is always a prompt to hear his, her thoughts are little hands reaching out to know and be known by him, her wants passed along in hopes of him wanting too. And she makes it easy to respond in kind.
There's probably half a million things he's learned about Rebecca Welton in the first year of living with her. Big things and small things – she can destroy a bowl of berries and nuts in a matter of seconds. She has an almost frightening ability to hold her alcohol. She does a tiny bit of yoga everyday and those minutes of solitude are important to her. She loves him voraciously, would do just about anything for anyone in her club, and doesn't believe she will ever uncomplicate her relationship with her mother.
And because she so rarely employs subtlety, he doesn't think it's anything notable at all when she finds a new minor interest.
"Look at this."
He turns his eyes from the TV to her, stretching an arm along the cushion as she scoots closer along the couch. She angles her phone so he can see – it's a video of a tabby cat with a mouthful of leaves, chirping as it crosses someone's yard. He grins at it, chuckling as it drops them and sits with satisfaction next to its contribution.
"She brings them a little pile of leaves everyday," Rebecca chuckles.
"Look at her go. Doin' her part."
"She's a good girl."
"Lot better than a mouthful of mice," he remarks.
She gives him a horrified look.
"What?" he chuckles. "You never had a cat?"
"No," she says, shaking her head. "Have you?"
"There was an outdoor cat when I was growing up that hung around our house. My mom hated it 'cause she's scared to death of mice and loves the birds and he would come around with either one or the other dead in his mouth and leave it. Tryin' to get on her good side, I guess."
She stares at him. "That's disgusting."
He laughs a little bit, tilting his head. "Yeah. He brought a bird up on the stoop once, still movin', and Mama was so mad, she smacked the back of his head for him to drop it. And he did. And then another little bird came flutterin' out of his mouth and flew off."
She shakes her head, a smile pulling at her mouth. "You're full of shit."
"I am not," he laughs. "Saw it with my own eyes. He was a big fella."
She snorts, looking back down at her phone. She stays close, leaning against his side as she scrolls on.
It takes him a while to take notice of the running theme. They send all kinds of silly stuff back and forth – videos and pictures and jokes. She sends him screenshots of funny tweets she sees, sometimes about him or the team, sometimes just random things she thinks will amuse him.
But suddenly there's a very large uptick in cat videos.
×××
She blames Keeley. It's Keeley's fault entirely.
She doesn't know what possessed her friends, if it was the influence of Phoebe or what, but they've adopted a cat – a beautiful, lithe, sleek one that could nearly be taken for a tiny leopard for its coloring. She's a lively little thing, playful and talkative, but she seems to adore Rebecca. When she goes over, she spends the length of her visit circling her feet or pacing her lap on the couch, purring like a fiend, pushing her head into Rebecca's palm.
And, goddammit, Rebecca likes it. She likes watching her prance around, flopping around on the floor for attention, just in general being entertaining and sweet.
She sees them everywhere now – or at least is really noticing them as she scrolls through social media, seeing Leslie's sons posting videos of their new kitten and Keeley and Roy's little minx chasing her tail and random strangers with unnaturally gorgeous felines.
She hasn't any idea how Ted feels about getting a pet. And normally she'd just tell him, have all her arguments outlined, or just recklessly show up with one one day, but they have quite literally just settled into living together. She doesn't want him to say yes just because she wants it and then hate it and hate taking care of it – she wants him to want it too. So she's going a little more insidious. Or trying to, sending out feelers by sending him cats and seeing what he says.
She's not having much luck. He will aww and ooh, but doesn't express any disdain or desire to get one. Which isn't helping her.
"Who's idea was the cat?" she asks Keeley.
"I wanted a dog and Roy wanted a cat," she says, stroking Camilla's back as she arches on the couch next to her. "But we settled on her 'cause she's so cool and active and spirited, she's like a low maintenance dog."
Keeley gives her a little grin. "You want one, don't you?"
"I do," Rebecca admits, scratching Camilla's neck as she crosses to her.
"You guys should get one then," Keeley says. "They're so easy."
"I haven't asked Ted what he thinks yet," she says.
"Well, I don't think he would refuse you anything, first of all," she says, sipping her wine. "And also how cute would he be with kittens all over him?"
"Stop," she says, tilting her head. "Or I'll show up at home with a box of them tomorrow."
Keeley giggles. "I think he would like a cat. Or a dog, but I would guess you–"
"I do not want a dog," Rebecca says. That's a lot more mess, care, and maintenance to jump right into when she's never even had a pet.
She hopes he wouldn't rather have a dog.
She supposes she's going to just have to bring it up outright – he's not catching on and she's already tired of trying to be slick about it.
×××
"Hey," he calls out when he hears the front door open. He gets one in response as she comes in, kicking her shoes off. She's earlier than he expected – she usually lingers late into the evening when she goes over to Keeley and Roy's.
He looks up at her from his sprawl on the couch as she rounds the sofa and immediately plants a knee between him and the cushions, crawling up and laying over him.
"You weren't gone long," he remarks as she settles herself against him, his arm landing on her back, her head on his middle.
"No," she sighs. "I left when Roy got back from his sister's. Keeley seemed…eager to be alone with him."
He chuckles, pushing his hand through her hair. "Well, cheers to them."
She giggles a little bit, rubbing a hand along his side over his t-shirt. She relaxes against him – the loveliest blanket he's ever had the pleasure to be covered with.
"I like their kitty," she remarks and he smiles.
"She's a lil' firecracker," he says. "Cracks me up."
She rolls her head until her chin is planted on his chest to look up at him. Her eyes are a little wide, eyebrows tipped up.
"Can we get one?"
His smile grows as he tilts his head. He never would've taken her for a pet person.
"Sure," he says. He likes cats.
She almost scoffs, closing her eyes.
"Of course you're going to be that easy about it."
He chuckles. "Do you want me to argue with you about it?"
"No, but I thought it would take at least a little convincing," she says and he squints at her a little bit.
"Is that why you keep sending me cat stuff?"
She does scoff then, rolling her eyes. "Yes."
"Why?" he laughs. "What do you think I have against cats?"
"I don't know," she says, laying her head back down in exasperation.
And since when does she do sneaky?
He chuckles again, smoothing a hand over her hair.
"We'd have to go get some stuff," he muses. "But I remember Higgins saying he can't go to the pet store on Saturdays 'cause the shelter sets up with a bunch of kitties and he knows he'll go home with one. We could go then. Get the stuff and peek at the cats."
"I already have everything saved to order online," she mumbles and he laughs.
"You could've just said something, Rebecca."
"I was trying to sniff you out first," she says. "But you gave me nothing."
"I'm sorry," he chuckles. "What kinda kitty do you want?"
"A soft one. Sweet one. Not so crazy as Camilla."
"Alright," he says. "Kitten?"
"I would like a kitten, I think," she says, lifting her head again to look at him. "Start from scratch."
"Okay, then," he smiles. "Sounds like fun."
×××
He didn't know what he expected when she said she had stuff saved, but he really shouldn't be surprised. The things that arrive over the next couple days look like something straight out of a housecat's dreams. A water drinking fountain and several very soft beds, toys, dishes, food that now has a shelf in the fridge, and, good lord, the litter box.
He just laughs when she sets it on the kitchen island.
"It's automatic," she says, then lifts her hands, defending herself. "Do you want to do it? Because I don't."
He reads the side of the box, still grinning. "It connects to the WiFi?!”
"Oh, stop," she says. "Like I was going to skimp out on this."
"How much did this cost you?" he asks, looking up with a grin.
"What does that matter?" she says innocently.
"C’mon, tell me," he says.
"No."
He looks in the shipping box, spying an invoice and snatching it before she can stop him.
"Give me that–"
"Seven hundred pounds?!" he says, laughing. "Oh my God, Rebecca."
"Stop," she says, swiping the paper from him, smiling at his teasing.
"You know it's gonna poop in it right?"
"Exactly. And then neither of us has to touch it."
"Now I feel like we're not adopting a cat but selecting one lucky winner to come live a life of luxury and refinement."
She laughs, wrapping her arms around the box, giving him a haughty look.
"If you'll excuse me. I have a cat shitter to set up."
He chuckles, watching her go, but following after a few minutes to help her.
×××
"I was excited, but now I'm just sad," she remarks as they walk through the narrow room.
"Yeah," he laments. "Now I feel like adopting a nice round dozen or two."
"I think we'll have to start with one," she says, taking another step, giving the next cat its due attention. "Hello. Aren't you lovely?"
They wander through at a slow pace, having been told the kittens they have are at the far end of the room, but she stops at every cage, offering her fingers and compliments to each kitty.
They don't make it to the far end – he didn't really expect them to.
"Oh," Rebecca says, coming to a complete stop at a cage. "Oh, look at you."
The cat inside is a pale gray that fades into white at its paws and nose with long fur – not the longest they've seen, but longer than the shorthairs – curled up in the little bed in the corner.
"Oh, he's pretty," Ted says, stepping closer.
"How do you know it's a he?" she remarks, sticking her fingers into the cage, greeting the kitty. "Hello."
It lifts its head, peering at them with lovely gray blue eyes. He sticks his own fingers in, watching the cat take an interest, standing and stretching.
"Oh," Rebecca says sadly, and he turns to her, finding her reading the information card hooked on the cage.
"Hmm?"
"'My loving owner died and I had nowhere to go'," she reads aloud. "'I'm an affectionate, easygoing kitty that enjoys lots of lap time.'"
She turns to him with a frown, then to the cat as they both feel him rub himself along their fingers. Ted curls his fingers into his soft fur, turning back to Rebecca, finding her watching the kitty with a little heartbreak in her eyes.
"I like him," she says.
"I thought you wanted a kitten," he reminds her softly.
She doesn't respond, watching the little guy push his head against her knuckles. He steps around her, trading spots to read the rest of the card for himself.
"He's already ten years old," he says, sliding a hand over her back. He doesn't have a problem with it – he wouldn't mind an older cat, but she seemed set on a baby.
"I know," she says slowly, like she's realizing she's pretty much made up her mind. "But I think he deserves a nice retirement."
He smiles at her, watching the kitty sit close enough for Rebecca to brush her finger over the soft fur at his chest, primly adjusting his big white paws in front of him before curling his tail around. He peers at them, then lets out a soft little mow that has both of them chuckling.
"See, you agree, don't you?" she says. "You're a little sweetheart, huh? I didn't even look to see what your name is."
Ted looks, having skimmed over it too, smiling at what he finds. "Arthur."
"Arthur?" Rebecca chuckles.
"What a name, huh? Who picked up this little guy as a sweet little puffball of a kitten, looked at him on the most exciting day of his life and then gave him the most old man name possible? I'm so sorry, buddy."
"Oh, stop," she says, scratching at Arthur's chin as she reassures him. "I think it's a great name. And I don't think Theodore has any room to talk."
He laughs fully at that, hearing Rebecca chuckle with him. "Well, that's me told," he says, squeezing her side, pulling her attention as she turns. "Should we see if somebody will open his cage up so we can meet him?"
She nods, giving him a bright smile.
×××
Of course they brought old Art home. And it doesn't even take two days before they're both absolutely smitten.
He's taken to following them around curiously, as well as flopping and rolling against the shag rug in the living room. He'd been absolutely riveted by the dining room, chirping and chattering at the birds through the windows – to their endless amusement – and surveying the backyard as if it were new domain he's claimed.
He's just adorable. And quickly growing very comfortable here.
Clearly.
"Well, he didn't take long to settle in, did he?" he remarks.
Rebecca's laid out on the couch with Arthur stretched along her front, his head nestled against her chest, paws stretched toward her chin. He can hear the little guy purring from where he stands at the end of the couch as she strokes his fur from ears to tail, grinning with pure delight.
"And he found the best spot already."
She chuckles, bending her knees to make room for him to sit. Arthur lifts his head, eyes opening at being jostled.
"Oh, relax," she mutters. "We share with Ted, alright?"
She lays her legs over his thighs as he chuckles.
"I see you're having no trouble bonding with our new resident," he says as his arms stretches along the back of the sofa.
"Of course not," she almost coos, rubbing at Arthur's cheek. "And don't think I didn't see you carrying him around like a baby yesterday."
"Oh, c'mon. He was lookin' up at me and making the saddest little noise. And you know what, I ain't even gonna pretend I wouldn't die for him already."
She chuckles, holding Arthur's little face as he just purrs and purrs. "You hear that? You have Ted's eternal devotion."
"Christ, he looks more in love with you than I am," he muses.
She laughs at that, glancing up at him. "I'm pretty sure he's very happy to not be in that cage anymore."
Arthur stands at the disturbance, stretching his back before he traverses Rebecca's body to see what Ted has going on.
"I think you made a good choice, darlin'," he says to Rebecca as Arthur just stands on Ted's thighs, pressing up into his hand as he strokes him.
"I love him," she mutters.
He smiles as Arthur throws himself against Ted's abdomen, rolling in his lap.
"Me too."
×××
When she steps into the bedroom, she just has to grin.
Ted's lounging on the bed, scrolling his phone with Arthur cradled in his arm against his chest, dead asleep.
It's almost hilarious to think about now – that she was uncertain if he'd enjoy having a cat. More than half the times she comes upon him in the house, he's either holding or talking to Arthur. He carries him around like a little prince and he just purrs like a madman.
Maybe they didn't end up with a box of kittens, but it's still unbelievably cute. And she hates to disturb it, but, right now, she's going to.
She crawls up onto the bed, leaning on an elbow next to him.
"What's going on here?" she asks, scratching the top of Arthur's head, startling him if his little mrrp is anything to go by.
"He needed snuggled apparently," Ted says as he drops his phone next to him. "And I think I make a pretty good bed if I do say so myself."
"I can confirm," she nods. "But he might have to go."
Ted frowns at her, stroking Arthur's side almost protectively. "He's fine here."
"Okay, but what if I'm trying to have sex with you?" she asks, watching Ted's brows lift again.
"Ah, well, I think you're a little late," he says, gesturing to the cat. "I think I'm otherwise engaged for the evening."
She gives him a flat look, getting a little grin back.
"Arthur, buddy, I think you're in danger," he whispers to the cat, who has no reaction whatsoever. Ted shifts him to get him up and he just lifts his head and glares at him, dead weight against his chest.
"Oh, c'mon man, don't do this to me," Ted chuckles as Rebecca pantomimes looking at a watch. "Look at her. Be a little wingman here, huh?"
He's unenthused as Ted lifts him up and leans to put him on the floor.
"There," he says, immediately rolling into her until she's on her back, grinning up at him.
"I'm all yours," he mutters against her neck, his hands immediately bunching her shirt to get to her skin. "Though you might have to work out a schedule with the little man."
She snickers, pulling him down hard against her with a leg, sliding her hands against his back as she catches his lips with hers. She hums as he grinds against her, the little fever in her core telling her this probably isn't going to be especially leisurely–
They both freeze at the sound of the sheets rustling. They look towards the end of the bed, where Arthur's jumped back up, ears pinned back, feet braced against the duvet. Before either of them can say anything, he dives forward, chasing nothing, then does a fast loop before freezing again.
She can't help but snort when he looks back at them, eyes wild before he does another circle, then gets distracted with licking his leg.
"What is he doing?" Ted chuckles, then startles when Arthur spins and leaps at his toes.
"Oh, Jesus, man!"
She barks out a laugh as he jerks his foot away and she's in stitches as Arthur chases after it before finally doing another loop, leaping off the bed and sprinting out the door.
"What the hell–" Ted laughs, turning back to her as she catches her breath, pulling him against her again.
"He's not the forgiving kind apparently."
"Who wanted a cat again?" he asks, his grinning mouth falling to her jaw.
"I did," she laughs. "And it was so worth it."

Trafalgar Law, B-6 ~ Master/Servant
Summary: Part 3 to Trafalgar Law as a Fylgja: A supernatural being associated with fate, usually an omen of one’s impending doom, who can shapeshift - his favorite form is a Snow Leopard. You're his new little pet and this a little treat on how your life with Law would be.
Part 1 | Part 2 Author's note: This needs to the final part for Fylgja Law, I'm exorcising him from my brain space and back into the friendzone where he belongs (for me, Raven, personally.)
Warnings: Spicy, pet play kink, master/servant relationship, Monster Law, hybrid Law/leopard form. Adding dead dove in case people take issue with monster fucking/hybrid fucking or whatever. Word Count: 643
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Law is quick to bring you into his home. He doesn’t mind you keeping the apartment if you want, but he wants you around at all times when he has the time to be home. Being a Fylgja and moonlighting as a surgeon means he seldom has down time. Any time he does, he wants to spend it with you.
When he’s gone, you do whatever you want to entertain yourself in his absence. You won’t need to work because his pay is phenomenal, but if you do its fine by him – so long as you wear a token of his ownership on you. A stunning golden choker with a dangling crystal heart charm. Never take it off unless you want to be in the doghouse.
You take care of his place when you’re under that roof, not because he expects you to but you do it anyways, and you always wear your cat ears – that’s the only rule. Your real catsuit only comes out whenever its play time. He loves shopping for you too, absolutely adores seeing you wear the outfits he buys.
He always starts by having you change into your ‘house’ outfit, the same outfit he gifted you that first day he made you his pet. He washes your hands and feet, drying them with a soft towel before slipping your gloves and socks on. He slips on your panties and bra and you admire the way he restrains himself when his eyes eat you up with a predatory gaze. If you give him a teasing look he’ll flick your cat ear and give your ass a slap. Law looks ravenous by the time he clips on your collar. Before he can indulge – can’t forget your tail plug.
Law will make you purr, hiss, mewl, and downright yowl with what he knows about the human body. He wasn’t an expert at first but when he figured out your cues he was on them like a hound. Loves taking care of his Kitten, in every single way. He saved you and now you’re all his so he wants to spoil and protect you.
He’ll fuck you however you want. Human form, hybrid form – he’s game for anything, he’ll make sure to never hurt you and heavily enforces safe words and check-ins to make sure you’re not lying to him or yourself about being in situations you may not enjoy. Enjoys watching you in the mirror, alone, with him, him making you pleasure yourself, he just loves watching you and watching himself fuck into you. It releases a deep growling that normally doesn’t come out during any other times you are together.
If you’ve ever in your life thought – I wish I could quit everything and become someone’s pet, Law’s the guy you want to be adopted by.
Also: the King of Aftercare. He knows that he’s rough sometimes, especially when he’s shapeshifted (oh yeah, he’ll appeal to your appetite if you want a different breed of cat. Or marine animal), so he performs medical care under the guise of aftercare but honestly you don’t mind it much. He disguises his prodding for discomfort as massaging your muscles, ‘stretching you for the next round’ to make sure nothing is broken or sprained, applies several kisses to remedy any scratches or bite, and teases you with playful snatching of comfort items to check for concussions or brain damage. He’s a natural worrier.
But then – the snacks he brings, taking charge of clean up, the vibe he sets to just hang out with you in post-sex comfort, making you laugh and feel cherished as he feeds you little bites and just talks with you. He might treat you like a plaything, a pet, but make no mistake, you’re his little house cat. He’s in it for life. Well, the rest of your life anyway.

Will Louis have big cats as pets? They are well suited for his vampire-strength than house cats. There is a video on YouTube of a tiger saving a man from a leopard's attack. Louis seems like that guy who fosters love and loyalty in unexpected places.
I love videos like that that show that animals have compassion for other animals (including humans), too, even putting their own lives in danger.
Well, canonically, his vampire nature itself repels animals, sadly. Lestat mentions something about this re: horses. It's especially hard on Lestat re: dogs, here's when he meets Mojo:
I'd caught its scent as soon as it approached, but I did not see the animal until I came over the roof to the back of the house. I'd expected to hear from it before this time, for surely it would pick up my scent, know instinctively that I wasn't human, and then begin to sound its natural alarm of growls and barks. Dogs had done that enough to me over the centuries, though they don't always. Sometimes I can entrance them and command them. But I feared the instinctive rejection and it always sent a pain through my heart. This dog had not barked or given any clue that he knew I was there. He was staring intently at the rear door of the house and the butter-yellow squares of light falling from the window of the door onto the deep snow. - TOBT
---
Louis seems like that guy who fosters love and loyalty in unexpected places.
Yes, I love that!
There is fanon from a popular Louis roleplayer from years ago ( @merciful-death) that Louis did adopt a black cat (or she adopted him, really) named Harriet. She leaves him dead mice often, and according to Lestat roleplayer @devilsfool: “She hunts them to try to feed you. She’s convinced that you are a terrible hunter.” I love that! 🐁🐁🐁
(...I also see Louis as being visited frequently by a big stray tomcat, and Lestat doesn’t approve of this one either bc MORE CAT HAIR ON VELVET FURNITURE. Velvet is very cat-hair-ophillic. This cat doesn’t have a name but Louis calls him by a lot of baby names (”Mon chou,” “Sir Fluff,” “Kitten,”) and Lestat calls him by a lot of rude names (”Hairball,” “Trashface,” “Loaf”). This cat actually followed Harriet to their home one night, and he likes to nap with her when she allows it.)
As far as big cats, I think Louis would be fascinated with them as he is with most natural beauty, including plants, constellations/space (the new pics from NASA's Webb!), the simplicity and complexity of a crackling fire... I like to think they go to the zoo at night and admire the animals from afar.
As far as owning a big cat, that might be a danger to his towers of books and other collections! But I also like to think Gabrielle has taken him out to hunt in far off places and they've gotten close to sit among mountain lions and tigers.
I think Louis has a wide array of plants, night-blooming flowers, a lot of succulents 🌱🌱🌱

“Time for bed, darling.”
Serenity hugged Ivy roughly before following after her mother, looking back at Ivy every so often as she trailed after her up the stairs, with a slight bounce in her step after every time she made sure Ivy was still there.
Ivy waved until Serenity was out of sight, she then slowly deflated and curled in on herself, tucking her legs up under herself as she took a seat on the chair provided for her.
Siegfried went about his work quickly, preparing to escort Ivy up to a spare bedroom, but he put his paperwork down quietly when Ivy’s voice piped up, breaking the silence that had overtaken them.
“Do you want me out of here by morning?...”
Ivy whispered, looking up from a stuffed animal that she had cradled to her chest, her fingers fidgeting in it’s fur.
Siegfried smiled softly and shook his head, stepping around his desk to stand in front of the young girl cowering and frightened in his study.
“Dear, darling girl...”
Siegfried soothed, kneeling down in front of Ivy and holding out his hand, giving Ivy a chance to flinch away from him before he reached over and brushed her hair behind her ear tenderly, trying to get her to relax.
“You can stay here as long as you want.”
Ivy jumped and held up her hands quickly.
“No! no! I can be out of here by morning, Mr. Hortensia! you don’t need to worry about me!”
Siegfried gently pushed Ivy’s frantically moving hands back down, quieting her with a soft shush sound.
“Dear girl, you are welcome here, as long as you want to be here, no matter what. baring the fact Serenity would hate both me and her mother if we let you be on your own, and neither I nor Azalea could stand the thought of you out there by yourself...I actually have something to ask you, but that can wait until tomorrow, for now let’s just get you to bed.”
Siegfried stood up, offering Ivy his hand, smiling gently when Ivy took it and pulled herself up.
“Um! wait!” Ivy squeaked out, releasing Siegfried’s hand and clutching her stuffed animal more firmly to her chest. “Can I...sleep with Serenity...? at least for tonight?”
Siegfried nodded softly, offering Ivy his hand once again, “Of course you can.”

Dionysus and Ariadne headcanons!!
dedicated to @greekmythologymemes and anyone else who loves this couple :)
Dionysus does NOT drive. He’s usually a little too intoxicated for that so he never officially learned how, and Ari is a better driver anyways. She has to scoot the seat all the way up to reach the pedals but he dare not tease her about that (or he risks walking to the destination).
They visit the island of Naxos sometimes. The place of Ariadne’s biggest heartbreak has become a favorite vacation spot, and she loves her husband for being the reason it is.
They don’t fight often, but when they do, they’re good at apologizing and not holding grudges. Their making up usually involves sex, much to their children’s disgust.
When Ariadne is sad, her husband turns into a leopard and playfully pounces on her and purrs and licks her tears away and tickles her with his whiskers until she’s laughing and smiling again.
Speaking of cats, they own many of them. Dionysus will text his wife “guess what I got today!” and she has to guess whether it’s a new bottle of wine or another cat from the shelter he couldn’t resist adopting. Usually it’s both.
Ariadne is a huge puzzle lover. Any puzzle — crosswords, sudoku, jigsaw, word-searches — is no problem for her. As the goddess of mazes, she demolishes the competition when in a corn maze. Dionysus is so amazed at her for that, always bragging to people how smart his wife is.
Dionysus’ favorite color is purple, no surprise. Ariadne’s is gold (related to the whole golden thread thing). They’re undeniably two of the best dressed on Olympus. Everyone’s a little jealous of how majestic of a couple they look when together.
Dionysus sometimes still has nightmares from when he was a child (he watched his foster dad and mom slaughter their kids and them themselves), and Ariadne never fails to pull him into her arms and remind him that he’s safe and rub his back until he feels better.
Sometimes Ariadne will braid her husband’s long hair and interweave flowers into the hairdo. The other gods tease him because it looks very feminine, but he adores the styles and wears them proudly.
Ariadne has a high alcohol tolerance. She can out-drink pretty much any of the gods except for her husband. He’s so damn proud of her for that.
They both love fuzzy things: fuzzy socks, fuzzy blankets, fuzzy pajamas…anything warm and cozy. The material attracts so much cat hair but neither of them care. They have about ten opened lint rollers in their house at all times
Ariadne, as much as she loves Dionysus’ wild parties, often goes to bed before they end since they last until sunrise. And when she does, her husband, no matter how drunk, always takes breaks from dancing like crazy, entertaining, and drinking out the beer/wine bottles to go check on her periodically :’)
Ariadne is close with Athena. They weave and chat together all the time <3
They’re always coming up with new remedies for hangovers. When the other gods come to them the morning after a party for help, the couple always know exactly what to do. Apollo swears they’re even better than him, the medicine god, at curing post-drinking headaches.
Dionysus and Ariadne love going to bars around the world to try the different alcohols of the globe. They watch the bartenders closely to ensure they’re watching out for girls’ drinks from being tampered with from predatory guys (and vice versa), and if they don’t, they’re punished appropriately. Dionysus may be the god of wine and love a good drunken crowd, but he takes the safety of the vulnerable very seriously.
Other than the parties, they live a pretty calm life together. You can find them going to the beach and running into/visiting Poseidon and Amphitrite often.

Well anyways I'm thinking a spicy chapter might be joining us soon but I've never written that kind of stuff before so I'm a little hesitant. Also, I have a lot of School shit piled up but I hope to write another chapter within the next two weeks.
Date Posted: 10/14/2021
Seokjin was staring at me with a mildly amused expression from across the dinner table. Jungkook was leaning his head on my left shoulder, his eyes closed as he waited for Taehyung to bring us our dinner plates- something the snow leopard insisted on even more vehemently after our talk a week ago. I knew what he meant by the staredown- he wanted to tease me for going from a single mother who swore off men to turning around to fall in love with the two hybrids being housed with our parents. The day after the big talk was a bit awkward for us all as we decided to break the news to my parents who were wholeheartedly accepting and my mother was downright giddy at the fact that her daughter now had two men to take care of her. My father on the other hand had thought we were already together and merely shrugged at my announcement. They both helped me file the paperwork for adoption and helped me with breaking the tension between my brothers and my boyfriends.
You see, Hoseok and Namjoon were very upset with both of them for ‘taking advantage ’ of their pregnant little sister. While that is probably the farthest thing from the truth it had been the source of some tension in the family but a couple of days was all it took until everything settled. It was a big help that the twins’ confirmation was probably the most exciting news in the house and they all seemed to use the excitement as a way to bridge the gap. Well, that was with Seokjin’s exception. Jinnie didn’t bat an eye at the news of my love life but instead doubled his texts when he found out he was getting both a niece and a nephew.
We were having a celebratory family dinner- all thanks to Mom who was excited that the two were officially adopted by me yesterday but Namjoon, Yoongi, and Seokjin weren’t available to come until today. Hoseok sat to Seokjin’s right and was animatedly talking to Dad about his favorite show that had released another episode that morning. Dad was nodding along to the chattering with an endearing look on his face. Mom sat at the opposite end of the table, at the head, Yoongi at her left and Namjoon at her right. Hoseok sat sandwiched between his two brothers and dad occupied the other table head.
Taehyung finally made his way into the dining room with Namjooon on his heels, both balancing two plates in their hands. Namjoon set a plate in front of Yoongi who sat next to Jungook and was silently observing us all. Taehyung laid both plates in front of Kook and me before rubbing his cheek on top of my head at my soft thanks. He happily trotted back to the kitchen to retrieve his own plate. With all the seats filled Tae had to pull up a mismatched chair to sit on my right side.
“Darling we’ll need to get a new table by Christmas.” Mom commented as Taehyung made himself comfortable at the table.
Dad surveyed us all before nodding along at the request. “Especially if Hobi finally confesses to that boy by then. Maybe we could get matching high chairs for the twins.”
I choked at that comment, I wasn’t used to the idea of twins even though it had been confirmed several days ago. Apparently, they were laying back to back and it was hard to detect her, especially her heartbeat that was quieter than the boy’s own. She was smaller than him too, something that concerned me but the doctor said that it wasn’t uncommon with fraternal twins. He did say that while I was carrying large for one baby, I was smaller than average for carrying multiples. He advised me to take it easier though, something that the family had come together more forcibly than before to enforce.
Jungkook patted my back softly as I chugged at my glass of water. Seokjin broke out in laughter across the table. “Y/n, you good?” he asked with yet another teasing smirk.
“Yeah, just went down the wrong pipe,” I bit back, tonight I will not let him get a rise out of me. But when Seokjin got it into his head- it was practically impossible to stop him.
“Now that we’ve mentioned it, how are the twins today?”
“They’re good, been kicking a lot today.” My responses were perfectly monotonous, something that will instead get a rise out of him.
“Ah, you pick any names out yet?” At my silence he continued, “for one, I think having a niece or nephew named after me would be so endearing. How else would you show your appreciation for your eldest brother?”
“Good thing you’re not on the naming committee,” Namjoon chimed in from down the table, my eyes darting to the speaker to convey my gratitude at being saved from his trap answer. Knowing him I would be tricked into committing to whatever name he suggested. ‘It’s just how older brothers work,’ he would repeat growing up whenever he weaseled his way into getting his way.
“Mom, don’t you think that another little Seokjin would be adorable? Imagine another Jinnie running around.” He pouted at Mom who laughed at his pitiful expression.
“When you have my next set of grandbabies you can give me another Jinnie. For now, Y/n is still figuring out what sounds good for them herself so don’t give her a hard time.” She then turned back into conversation with Yoongi and Namjoon, asking her oh-so-typical motherly questions about their new romance. She was insatiable when it came to getting the answers she wanted from us. Jin didn’t look like he had been subdued though and he quickly turned his attention away from me and to the man on my right.
“What about you Taehyung? You got any names you’ve brought up to Y/n?” His tone was verging on accusatory, what he was accusing? I hadn’t the slightest clue of what went on in the drama queen’s head.
“Well, we talked about the name Minseok but Jungkook vetoed it.” Taehyung shrugged and shoveled another bite into his mouth. He was more focused on the turkey leg than any conversation Seokjin could provide.
“Minseok? What’s wrong with that name?” Dad asked while Jungkook and I shared a look at the can of worms Tae just opened. I had been clear to everyone that I wasn’t ready to settle on a name just yet and they all respectively had kept their distance from the topic until the shit-stirrer across the table finally showed face.
“Y/n wants the names to match and we didn’t like the options for a girl. Taehyung also suggested Yongsu go with it. Of course, I vetoed.” Jungkook explained as he pointed a fork at the said name murderer.
My Dad nodded along at the explanation before rubbing his chin thoughtfully. Oh gee, I could feel his brain churning out a million names before he opened his mouth. “What about Yoomi?”
“That’s worse than Minseok Dad. Have we considered Soohyun?” Hoseok butted into the conversation, and I couldn’t help but grimace at the suggestion. I knew a Soohyun, she was the girl Mark was cheating on me with. I’d rather not recall walking in on infidelity every time I called for my daughter.
“How about they have renditions of the same name? Like Joohyun and Hyunjoo? Those would be hella cute.” Namjoon was the new naming murderer and he seemed to be proud of his contribution. Even his boyfriend grimaced at how cliche the names were for twins.
I shook my head and leveled them all with a lifeless expression.“This is why I never talk about names with you guys.”
Joonie took that personally and he frowned at me before exclaiming: “Hey I picked out your name!”
“Out of a list we gave you Namjoon,” Mom reminded him quietly with a sofy pat on his arm and he scoffed at it before turning back to his plate with a grumble.
“Speaking of, I was the one to come up with all of your names.” My dad supplied before turning his attention to me once again and mouthing ’Yoomi’ at me.
“What about Minso and Chunso? I saw those names on a tv show before.” Said Yoongi, his face showing apprehension.
I could tell the apprehension was twofold- he hadn’t been able to establish his place in the family and I was shutting down every suggestion so far. I made sure to smile at him softly as I replied; “You know what, I actually kind of like that. Thank you Yoongi.”
“I like the name Minso. It’d be lovely for the little princess.” Dad spoke around a mouthful of broccoli and quickly held a hand up at Seokjin’s disgusted face. Minso for my little girl? It didn’t feel quite right for her but it was a good suggestion and I hadn’t the heart to negate him.
“Chunso is kind of a mouthful though,” Hobi interjected and proceeded to mutter it while exaggerating the lip movements. I knew I could count on Hoseok to be on a similar wavelength as me so I wouldn’t feel guilty for eventually brushing off the names from the list. Jungkook and Taehyung kept quiet when we’d discuss names, claiming I got the biggest say and they didn’t want to discourage any exploration. With that, I knew they wouldn’t dare speak out against any names I complemented halfheartedly.
Joonie leaned out to the center of the table and turned his phone to me. “I’m looking it up now and Minso means one of a kind.”
Wanting to distance myself from the conversation at hand, I glanced over at the thorn juxtaposed to me before suddenly recalling another name suggested by Taehyung the night prior. “Well, I was thinking of naming her Duri, since it can mean two. She just so happens to be labeled baby number two on the ultrasound.” I smirked at the pun enthusiast across the table to watch his face morph into one of horror.
Mom clapped her hands at the joke; “Then what are you thinking of naming him to match?” Her genuine excitement at me finally picking a name made me feel a little guilty. Naming a small human is hard and nothing has really felt close to ‘it’.
“That is such a pun- you can’t name my niece after a pun.” Jin slapped his hand down on the table before I could respond to Mom and I had to fight myself to keep from laughing at his expression. Never had I seen such pain on him but before I could tease him some more mom was snapping for our attention.
“As the matriarch of this family- I have lovingly thought of two names that could be cute for the babies.” She declared proudly as she crossed her arms in front of her.
“Oh, you have?” Jin stole words out of my mouth but unlike me, he had tangible doubt laden throughout his words. She nodded at the snarky man before turning her attention to me.
“Yes, and since you’re forming your own family with those two lovebirds then I would like to suggest Taehee and Junghee.”
Jungkook had been silently observing the discourse amongst us all as he rested his head on my shoulder but perked up at Mom’s words. “Those are beautiful names Mom, I can't believe we hadn’t considered those.”
“Because it’s insane to name them after you both.” All eyes slowly turned to Seokjin in various degrees of anger and shock. Hoseok had leaned away from him at the comment and Namjoon was coldly staring at him.
I was one of the shocked, what could he possibly mean by that comment? Was it a racist implication? From our family? We have a hybrid brother and both of his human siblings were dating hybrids. Was it against the polyandry? The monogamous-centric views were a bit dated even for our parent’s generation so it wouldn’t make sense. Was it because Mark was their sperm donor? Seokjin hated their biological father so that didn’t make much sense either. In the tense air, I leaned into Jungkook’s side- almost as if I was trying to hide in his embrace.
“Seokjin. I would carefully watch your next words.” My mother’s voice was cold and you could slice cake with how sharp her words came out.
The offender held his hands up in surrender before defending himself. “It’s not what you’re thinking, it’s because Jinhee is obviously a better name and should be considered first.”
The room was eerily silent for a hot minute before Hoseok turned and almost shoved Jin out of his chair. There was a playfulness that masked the lingering bits of anger in his face. Mom let out a breath of relief at the joke before going back to her dinner.
There was an almost silent scoff from down the table on my left, I turned to see Yoongi pushing his food around on his plate. “If we’re taking their dads’ names into consideration we could go with Yoontae or Yoonjung.”
“Those both have a part of your name in it too.” Hoseok pointed out with a small pout.
“That’s obvious, since I got invited to this family dinner, I’m now part of the family. I’m obviously going to be the favorite uncle.” He dramatically shrugged his shoulders and flicked his hair out of his face. I couldn’t help but smile at the declaration.
“Oh hell no you’re not, I’ve been vying for that spot since she told me,” Jin argued, his cheeks puffed out in anger.
“Must suck to have that spot pulled out from under you. I’ll make sure to send my condolences to your place later.” Yoongi shrugged yet again with a smirk before taking a big bite of the broccoli.
Namjoon gently reached out across the table with a placating expression on his face as he placed a hand on top of Yoongi’s upturned one. “Honey, I love that you’re feeling comfortable enough to joke with my brothers but I need you to know that it’s literally impossible to get that title while I’m still alive. I am the favorite brother so I will be the favorite uncle.”
Hobi’s ears perked up atop his head, he turned to Joon and shoved his harshly at the self-proclamation of the favorite brother. “Oh hell no you’re not. I AM.”
“Oh, Nams I’ll make sure to let your doctor know that you’re going senile.” Seokjin snarked from behind the angry canine hybrid, he too looked insulted at the prospect of not being the favorite. Mom and Dad both joined in the bickering to try and keep them from bursting into a full-blown brawl.
“I like the idea of the name Sujung,” I commented quietly and only the two hybrids glued to me noticed. Jungkook perking up visibly at the name suggestion. Tae leaned into my side more and I could feel his warm tail wound itself across my lap.
“It’s very pretty love, have you thought about one for the boy? I know you’re always tied up with the names for him.” He complimented me with a blindingly bright smile and pressed a soft kiss to my cheek.
I could help the blush that was threatening its way across my face so I pressed more into his touch. It was nice to have them both curled around me, especially now that it was growing colder. “Well, if I name her after Kookie, wouldn’t you like to have him named after you?”
Tae shook his head quickly at the question before resting his chin on my shoulder so he could talk to me in an almost whisper. “ I’ll love them no matter what we name them. You could name them both after Jungkook and I’d love them all the same.”
“I know you’ll love them, that wasn’t the question.” I reached a hand out to lace out fingers together.
“Baby, in the end, it’s your choice, maybe I’d like him to be named after me but if you choose otherwise then I wouldn’t care.”
“What about Taewon? I knew a man with that name before and he was very kind.” Jungkook decided to suggest suddenly making me jump slightly at the surprise. His mouth was centimeters from my ear and I could feel his warm breath fanning its way down my neck.
“I used to know a Kitae. What about that instead?” He suggested when I didn’t respond fast enough for his liking. I guess my hesitation spoke volumes.
Kitae was much cuter, cute enough to rival Sujung. “I like it, Kitae and Sujung. How cute.”
At my grin, Taehyung pulled away with excitement, “So we’ve settled on their names?”
“For now, they may change. Mom said she changed her mind a couple of times throughout her pregnancies.” I reminded him as I pulled him back into my embrace.
“For now, they’re perfect. They are going to be so cute! Now I can use their name when I talk with them.” He was almost shaking with excitement at the prospect. I didn’t know he’d be this enthusiastic about their names. “Love, we can use their names in their bedtimes stories from now on.”
I nodded at the exclamation and smiled as he rambled on about how he was going to write out the classics with their names so they can be the heroes of their stories. While he continued to chatter Jungkook curled an arm around my waist- well as much as he could with my growing stomach. I glanced over at the rest of the table and couldn’t help the smile that stretched across my face, My family was all happily broken into small conversations and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Jin and my dad were chatting and Jin was obviously fighting back his laughter. Hoseok and Yoongi seemed to be talking about Jimin if the raging blush on Hobi’s face was anything to go by. Mom and Joonie were quietly talking before she reached a hand out to ruffle his hair while he whined at the action. I turned my attention back to my still rambling boyfriend to catch on to the tail-end of his rant.
My family was here, together and happy. And my newly forged family unit fit in perfectly- something I was ever grateful for.

a little unconventional (part one)
[foster au]
this is set in America because i don't know how Romania works
---------------------------------------
rapture rising
“Alcina, my beloved sister, are you sure all of this is necessary?”
Alcina shot a glare over her shoulder at her toddling younger brother, who she was making carry in several boxes full of various items into one of the many rooms in her mansion. This one wasn’t one of the bedrooms, but rather a temporary storage room for all the things she had recently bought. She was going to have everything set up for the children to choose from when they eventually arrived. Just thinking about them getting to pick out their bedsheets and paint for their new rooms made a smile come to her lips, excitement rushing through her like dozens of butterflies flying for the first time.
…And then her idiot brother bumped into the doorframe and caused an avalanche of boxes to come down on top of him.
“Be careful!” Alcina barked, whirling around to him. She bent down to start picking the boxes up. “You’re lucky there was nothing fragile in here.”
“I’m fine, thanks for asking,” Heisenberg grunted, rubbing his head.
“And to answer your questions, dearest brother, yes, this is all very necessary,” Alcina said. “I need this to be perfect for them. This may be the first time those little girls get a real home.”
“Inflating your ego, aren’t you?”
Alcina stepped on his foot.
“I have the paints.” Moreau, Alcina’s other brother, shuffled inside, holding several cans of paint on his arms. If they were hurting him, he didn’t say anything. He seemed pleased with himself for being so useful.
“Thank you, Sal,” Alcina said. She took the cans from him and placed them against the wall. “Yellow, green, red, blue, pink, purple… Do you think that’s enough? What if they want, like, a mauve room?”
“Mauve?” Heisenberg echoed as he was crow hopping on one foot, still recovering from being stomped on.
“It’s a shade of purple,” Moreau supplied.
“I know what mauve is, asshole,” Heisenberg hissed. “I was just saying.”
“And I’m just saying, what if they want a lighter-colored room?” Alcina said. “This purple is dark. Should I go buy more?”
“You could mix white into the paint?” Moreau suggested.
Alcina thought it over, then nodded. “Yes, I could do that. Good idea.”
“Who wants a mauve bedroom, anyway?” Heisenberg muttered.
“Alcina!” A fourth voice echoed throughout the house, and Alcina’s sister entered the room. Donna looked uncharacteristically bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. She was clutching something in her hands. “Alcina, I have finished them!”
“When did you get here?” Heisenberg looked at her.
“Just now,” Donna said. “It doesn’t matter. Look!”
A beautiful doll was presented to Alcina. It was hand-stitched and dressed with great care. All the little details, down to the freckles and shiny eyes, were incredibly-made, and Alcina couldn’t help but pick it up tentatively, as though she were afraid of accidentally destroying it.
“Oh, Donna,” she said. “It’s beautiful! Thank you.”
Donna beamed. “I have also made stuffed animals and toy clothes for them. An entire wardrobe, in fact. Many selections.”
“Damn,” Heisenberg looked impressed. “Toys dress better than I do.”
“We know,” the other three said in sync, eyeing his ratty trenchcoat and old cowboy hat that he insisted on wearing everywhere.
“You weren’t supposed to agree!” Heisenberg barked like one of his dogs.
“Shouldn’t have said anything,” Alcina shrugged daintily. She looked back at Donna and smiled. “Thank you, Donna. I really appreciate your support. I appreciate all of your support. Even yours, Karl.”
“Sure, sure…” Heisenberg said, though Alcina didn’t miss the glint of fondness in his eyes.
“This is so exciting,” Donna said. “It’s a wonderful thing you’re doing, Alcina. Do you remember when we were all adopted by Mother?”
Heisenberg snorted. “I remember being kidnapped as a child and held for ransom, and then being one of the abduction victims to be actually found alive, only to discover that my parents had been killed while trying to get me back, to which I was then thrown into a home with you three.”
Donna winced. “Not…quite what I had in mind.”
“And you say ‘you three’ like we weren’t your best friends growing up,” Moreau pointed out idly, not looking at Heisenberg as he was helping unload some of the boxes. That one in particular held a wide selection of different bed sheets, ranging from leopard print to floral to plain blue.
Heisenberg raised his nose and huffed. “Well. Still.”
Alcina shook her head with a warm smile.
She vividly remembered life with her adoptive mother, Miranda, and her three other siblings. She was reborn from ash and flame after her old family estate burned down to the ground, smoldering the life she used to have and taking her parents with it. Yes, she could still smell the smoke, taste the embers on her tongue, even now, thirty-five years later. She was so small back then, only nine years old when the fire started, and she watched her home crumble to pieces right before her teary eyes. She thought it was over, that she had nothing, that she was going to be alone forever without her mother and father, but then a woman in a black cowl whisked her up into tender arms and took her under her wing as though she were the chicken to a nurturing mother bird.
She was the first of Miranda’s ragtag rascal children with harsh upbringings. For two years, it was just the both of them, reading books and watching movies in a beautiful countryside manor that quickly became her new home. Though the wounds had still been raw, the burns were very fresh, Miranda filled the void in her heart that her parents’ death left behind, extinguishing that eternal fire of survivor guilt and mourning.
And then the others came along.
At the time, Alcina had been rather indignant at the idea of having siblings. She was an only child with her birth family and she preferred to stay an only child with her new one, too, but she never voiced this opinion to Miranda. She grinned and bore it, even if it meant losing the attention of her mother.
Though, they didn’t end up being that bad…
The first of the “intruders” as she used to call them was Salvatore Moreau, a boy her age, though three months younger, and with a story similar to her own. He had been in a car crash after his drunken father got into a pretty nasty collision. The engine caught fire and it wasn’t long until the rest of the car followed. Moreau was trapped in the inferno, but managed to get out, running towards a nearby lake to extinguish the flames that were trying to make him its newest pyre. Unfortunately, the event left him badly burned, the scar still lingering all these years later, and nobody wanted to take in such a “disfigured child.” Miranda, however, stepped up to the challenge and fostered the boy, eventually adopting him fully later on.
Alcina was, admittedly, rather uneased by her new brother’s appearance at first, but she quickly got accustomed to him, even protective. There were several moments in school where she verbally (and sometimes even physically) pummeled any kids who dared to make fun of him, drilling into the bullies that he was not to be messed with while she was around. Some of her best retributions were when she threatened to leak unwarranted dick pics to the entire school, as it wasn’t uncommon for horny teenage boys to try to get into her pants, and that always shut them up quickly, especially when she loudly proclaimed details on their pathetic excuse for a penis, like the size and shape.
She and Moreau grew close rather quickly, much quicker than Miranda had been expecting. They both enjoyed more mellow things, like reading books and going on walks through the forest. Moreau was the sole reason she passed any English assignments done on Shakespearean literature, as he actually knew how to discern the confusing text, while she had to reread the same page over and over again to simply get a loose grasp on the grammar. He enjoyed cheesy romcoms, birdwatching, and swimming, the last of which he had a strong affinity for because of how the lake beside the car wreck very well could have been the only reason he survived. Now, he owned that very lake and made it into a popular fishing and boating destination for locals and tourists alike.
The second to arrive was Donna Beneviento, when Alcina and Moreau were both twelve. She was a full five years younger than the two of them and didn’t talk very often, at least for a good chunk of the first year she was there. She was put into the foster program after her parents commit suicide, leaving her with nothing but anxiety, trauma-induced selective muteness, and a doll named Angie.
It took time, but Donna eventually started opening up. First to Miranda, and then to Alcina and Moreau. Alcina strongly remembered a time when her little sister came to her room during a thunderstorm, lips quivering, tears glistening in her eyes, Angie clutched in a vice from her thin arms. She didn’t say anything, just stared from the doorway, whimpering and shivering.
“Alright,” Alcina had sighed. She flipped open her comforter, welcoming Donna. “Come on.”
Donna had brightened and skittered into the bed, snuggling right up against Alcina’s side. Alcina didn’t mind and resumed the book she had been reading before--Animal Farm, she believed. Donna pointed at the pages and then looked up at her curiously.
“Oh, this?” Alcina had said. “It’s called Animal Farm. It’s about these talking farm animals overthrowing their farmer to gain freedom, only to then be ruled by a communist pig.”
Donna blinked. “What’s a communist?”
“Well, you see…”
Her late-night explanation was certainly aided by the fact that they were in the middle of the Cold War at the time.
Overtime, Donna slowly grew out of her shell. Though she was still soft-spoken and reserved, she was also very kind-hearted and incredibly creative, which she showed through paintings, arts and crafts, and doll making. She would make dolls out of anything she could find--wood, thread, clay--so it made sense when she eventually became a toymaker once she grew up.
Finally, there was Karl Heisenberg when Alcina and Moreau were thirteen and Donna was eight. Right from the start, he was a loud, spitfire ten-year-old that broke the serene silence that used to hang over Miranda’s estate. He caused a great amount of mischief and mayhem, though Alcina would later discover it was to hide the fact that he was deeply traumatized by what exactly had happened to make him a foster child.
Even now, so many years later, Alcina still didn’t know the full story. Miranda said it wasn’t her tale to share and Heisenberg simply didn’t like talking about it very much. But from what she did know, Heisenberg used to belong to an incredibly wealthy business owner that ruled over their company with an iron fist. Due to the harshness his parents inflicted on their employees, it caused the workers to revolt against the abuse. A certain group took this way too far and kidnapped Heisenberg, holding him for ransom so they could get better treatment and pay at their work. Something ended up happening during the time between Heisenberg being held hostage and his parents paying up, and it left his mother and father in a way that he could never bring himself to explain. She only got snippets of the brutality of their deaths through brief moments when he would come to after vicious nightmares, one of which she actually stepped in to stop when she heard him struggling one night.
“Their heads, Alci,” Heisenberg had gasped, clawing manically for a desperate grasp on her arms, his body jerking and spasming in terror as his nightmare was still releasing his small, twelve-year-old body. “Their heads-- their brains were--” And then he stopped and keeled into her chest, sobbing in a way Alcina had never seen him do before in the two years he was living with her before that moment. Despite her occasional vex towards the boy, he was still her little brother and she was still his big sister, so she had wrapped her arms around him and held him close while he trembled and cried.
She never did find out what Heisenberg meant by “their heads,” but she had a hunch. Still, she never asked.
Nowadays, Heisenberg ran his own factory, where he treated his employees the way his parents should have treated theirs, learning from their mistakes. He also fostered all different kinds of dog breeds until they found their forever homes and rescued the more ‘vicious’ ones, like pit bulls and rottweilers, all of which he treated like royalty.
A freakishly tall girl, a burned boy, a selective mute, and a dog lover… They certainly weren’t the epitome of the stereotypical nuclear family, but they were family through and through, if not by blood, then by bloodshed.
“Do you guys remember the time Karl tried to clean the dishwasher with Kool-Aid?” Donna reminisced with a giggle.
“You’re never going to let me live that down, are you?” Heisenberg said.
“Absolutely not,” Donna grinned at him.
“I still don’t know how you came to the conclusion that that would work,” Alcina shook her head.
Heisenberg threw his arms up into the air. “John said it did!”
“John also tried to steal a school urinal.”
“Also, you’re supposed to take all of the dishes out before you try to clean it with Kool-Aid,” Moreau spoke up. “You left all of the pots and plates and silverware in it.”
“And he didn’t even put it in the right spot!” Alcina joined, cackling. “You’re supposed to put the powder in the detergent dispenser. Karl, you just poured it out all over the dishes!”
“It wasn’t even the right powder,” Donna put in. “You’re supposed to strictly use unsweetened lemonade only. You used tropical punch!”
Alcina, Donna, and Moreau all burst into laughter, while Heisenberg crossed his arms and glared at them.
“John never specified any of that!” he blustered.
“Never trust John, dear,” Alcina tittered.
“Well, it happened!” Heisenberg said. “It’s over! What other boxes do you need to move!”
More laughter.
“I’m serious! I’ll get the boxes! Also WHAT IS THAT.”
They all turned to see a patchy tortoiseshell cat lazily strolling into the room with them. It looked like it had been run over, dismembered, run over again, and then put back together by a blind surgeon, but it held itself like it was the most pristine lion to ever walk the earth. It glanced over at the four siblings, meowed at them, then continued on its stroll to one of the empty boxes, which it jumped into and made itself comfortable inside.
“It’s a cat,” Donna said as if it should have been obvious, earning a snort from Moreau and then a glare from Heisenberg.
“It’s not funny,” Moreau said quickly after Heisenberg glared at him, too, but it was obvious Heisenberg’s leer was all in good fun.
“No, no. Tom from Tom and Jerry is a cat,” Heisenberg said. “THAT is an overgrown street rat.”
“Well, one could assume the same about you, but you don’t see us pointing it out,” Donna said breezily.
Another bout of laughter, this time with Heisenberg included.
“Okay, okay, you got me there,” Heisenberg said.
“Must you insist on reacting the same way every single time you see Tea Cake?” Alcina finally spoke up through the playful bickering. She crouched down next to the cat and stroked its back, which caused it to purr in content.
“It’s my trademark,” Heisenberg said with a shrug. “That old woman is still alive?”
“And kicking,” Alcina smiled fondly at her pet.
Tea Cake had been with her for a long fourteen years, witnessing more than a few existential crises and drunken concerts put on to chase off her lurking PTSD. That cat came during the worst part of her life, and Alcina owed everything to that little beast. She learned how to laugh and smile and genuinely feel again, not hide behind the facade that she was a strong, powerful woman who could take on everything and come out without a scratch.
And, yes, Alcina had known- still knew, that she had Miranda and her siblings, but sometimes they were not enough, not back then, not when she was filled with so much shame and self-hatred and disgust. Animals were different in a way people couldn’t be. Animals didn’t lie, they didn’t judge or think about how messed up you were in their heads. They didn’t share your secrets or give you false hope. They just--be there. They listened and lent their presence and, sometimes, that was all that was needed, and some people didn’t seem to understand that.
Tea Cake’s fur had dried more of Alcina’s tears than anyone else ever had because she never let them fall in front of others. Tea Cake didn’t get upset when Alcina touched her; she didn’t understand the concept of emotional trauma and sexual harassment and body image issues. She just cared, even if she didn’t quite get it.
Alcina would probably be dead if it weren’t for her.
Yes, she remembered that fateful night… The wind in her shaggy hair she hadn’t washed in days, the moonglow on her ashen skin, the tears burning in her eyes--all of it was so clear, even now. She remembered how horribly, hopelessly depressed she had been and how she drove out to a field with a note on the dashboard and a gun in the passenger seat.
At the time, nothing had helped her. Her antidepressants weren’t working, going out only made her feel unsafe, and her family’s presence no longer brought her comfort and happiness, rather guilt and shame. The only thing that ever helped was when she drowned herself in the alcohol she made for a living, drinking away her despair and trauma until her body tingled and the phantom hands went away. She was surprised her liver never exploded inside of her during those awful few months.
She had sat in her car for a while, leaning her head on the steering wheel and wallowing in silence and darkness. Then, she got out, made sure the note was visible, and grabbed the gun.
She considered calling or texting her mother and siblings, but that would make it hurt worse. It was better to leave them with their last memories of her than to have this sudden news of a goodbye that they wouldn’t be able to stop.
She placed the pistol’s barrel in her mouth and rested her finger on the trigger. Her life didn’t flash before her eyes like some movies or books say it did, and she was quite thankful for it. She didn’t want to relive the agony she had been put through that led her up to that point. She just shut her eyes as tight as possible in preparation for the bullet to pass through her brain…
Then, there was a rustling from the grass nearby.
Alcina hesitated. The metallic taste of the gun left her tongue and she looked in the direction of the noise.
“Hello?” she had called out in her best possible not-about-to-kill-herself voice.
A tiny meow answered her.
“Your roadkill wants you,” Heisenberg’s voice cut through the daze that had momentarily descended upon Alcina’s mind.
Blinking, Alcina realized that Tea Cake was gnawing on her finger and meowing. She smiled.
“It’s probably dinner time,” Alcina said. She stood up straight. “Come on, children. I have news to share.”
Curious, her three younger siblings followed her out of the room and to her kitchen, Tea Cake padding after them eagerly. Her house was a beautiful creation of the finest wood and the most luxurious stonework. Top-of-the-line appliances filled the space and every little detail, down to the hanging droplets on the chandelier and the grooves in the staircase railing, were customized to her preference. 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 17,182 square feet, 14.99 acres filled by lush vineyards, and $5,500,000 later, and you had the Dimitrescu Estate.
And it was a barren prison.
It had always been there, ever since she moved in: that lingering loneliness that seemed to shroud every hallway. She had so much space, but nobody to fill it. Nobody except herself, Tea Cake, and her maids, of course. Lying awake one night, thinking about this issue as she often did, a solution had finally come to her.
After pouring some wet food into Tea Cake’s food bowl, Alcina grabbed a bottle of sweet butter wine out of her wine fridge and poured a glass for herself and each of her siblings, all of which were staring at her curiously. After taking a long sip, she finally began: “As you all know, I have plans to foster a child. And I greatly appreciate all of the support you three have provided me up until now.”
“Is this an award ceremony or something?” Heisenberg joked light-heartedly. “Can I have the award for most boxes carried? I think I deserve that one.”
“You mean most boxes dropped?” Donna giggled, earning her a playful poke in the side.
“No, it is not an award ceremony,” Alcina glared at Heisenberg without any fire in her gaze. She opened up a drawer in the stainless kitchen island they were gathered around. “Though, this may very well be an award…” She pulled out a blue folder packed full of papers and set it on the marble countertop, grinning brightly. “I just wanted to let you all know first that my training is done. I’ve completed all the classes.” Her heart swelled in her heart as she spoke her next words: “I’m a foster mom now.”
All at once, her younger siblings lit up brighter than the sun’s supernova, throwing their arms up into the air and letting out a celebratory shout. Donna and Moreau even raced around the island to hug Alcina, which she returned with a laugh.
“Oh, that’s so wonderful, Alcina!” Donna said, squeezing her with surprising strength. “I’m so happy for you!”
“Me too,” Moreau agreed.
“Sal, are you crying?”
“No!” Moreau yelped, then sniffled. “I just have something in my eye, that’s all.”
“You mean tears?” Heisenberg teased. He then looked at Alcina. “That’s amazing, Alcina. I’m really happy for you. You deserve this.”
“Aww,” Alcina crooned. “Is my little brother going soft?”
Heisenberg instantly steeled himself. “Me? No way! I was just saying what you would want to hear.”
Still being embraced on either side by her other brother and sister, Alcina chuckled. “I see.”
“Do you know your placement yet?” Donna asked, looking up at Alcina as though she were a child again.
“Placements,” Alcina corrected. She couldn’t help but grin again as she spoke of her future children. “Two. I’m getting two little girls.”
“Aww!” Donna and Moreau both cooed.
Heisenberg was nodding. “Girls. Yes. I can do girls.” He looked up at Alcina. “I’m getting them a puppy.”
“Oh, you don’t have--”
“I’m getting them a puppy,” Heisenberg said again, and it was clear he wasn’t taking no for an answer.
Alcina chuckled. “Alright. A puppy it is.”
Donna and Moreau began to join in on plans for being the greatest aunt and uncle, with Moreau saying that they needed to come to his lake for a swim and Donna listing off all the toys she would make for them. Alcina listened to them with a fond smile, happy to have such a supportive family. This was exactly what her daughters were going to need.
Daughters.
Just thinking about that word made her heart flutter in her chest. Her grin turned giddy. She was going to be a mother soon.
As she sipped from her wine glass, she thought about her placements. She had gotten the call four days ago and was scheduled to meet the little ones in the next two weeks. She could still hear her caseworker’s words in her ears during the conversation as she recalled it to her siblings.
“The first is named Daniela,” Duke had said. He was a studious, patient man with a warm smile and hands like chipmunk paws, keen on helping Alcina ever since she started her training to become a foster parent six months ago. “She’s a little girl and eleven years old. Her parents have, unfortunately, recently died due to a car crash. Her living relatives are unfit to take care of her, so she’s been placed into the foster system. Right now, she’s staying with her aunt and uncle, but she cannot be kept there much longer because of, ah…jealousy issues with their actual child.
The second is named Cassandra. Another girl, this one twelve years old. She’s been in the foster program ever since she was a baby when she was given up, as she was born from a teenager who couldn’t take care of her. She’s had…quite a few foster homes, all of which had given her up to someone else due to…issues. I understand if you don’t want to take this child. She’s been known to cause problems in her houses and pick fights. There is-- woo, that’s a lot of complaints… There are some notes on her left by her former families and-- Goddamn. They’re writing of her like she’s a monster or something…”
“Of course, I couldn’t turn down either of them,” Alcina concluded her retelling. “Especially the second one. Cassandra. The poor thing sounds like she needs a good home.”
“You’re so sweet, Alci,” Donna said, smiling at her.
“Think you can handle it?” Heisenberg asked. “I’m not doubting your abilities, but from what you said about the kid… Well, she just sounds difficult.”
“You were difficult,” Alcina said, grinning at him. “And everything turned out just fine, didn’t it?”
Her youngest brother’s concern didn’t diminish. “Yes, but… I don’t want anything to happen to you or my niece.”
Alcina, Donna, and Moreau all cooed. Heisenberg huffed.
“Oh, shut it! I have a heart!”
“You do,” Alcina’s smile lightened slightly. “But don’t worry: everything will be okay. I can do this. I need to do this. Those two little girls need a mother.”
Heisenberg considered her for a moment, then nodded. He smiled at her. “You’ve got a good heart, Alcina,” he said. “If you ever need any help, I’m here.”
“Me too!” Donna joined in.
“Me three!” Moreau piped up.
Alcina laughed. “Thank you. Really. This means a lot to me. Now…” She raised her glass. “Let’s drink before we have to cut back because there will be children around!”
Her siblings laughed and mimicked her gesture.
Alcina couldn’t wait.

[chapter 12 ||| chapter 14]
Jin looked up from his book when he smelled the girl entering the living room. Hope looked a little bit confused around the room, as if she was looking for something, before her gaze fell on Jin. Immediately, a smile played on her lips and Jin felt his heart skip a beat as she made her way up towards him.
“Hey.” She smile, before pulling herself a chair back and sitting down next to him. “Where are the other three?”
That had been what she had been looking for when she came into the living room. Usually, Jungkook would sit on the sofa at this time and practice his guitar, but with the two tiger living here now, he had found two friends to hang out with. It was surprising how fast the three of them had become used to each other. You wouldn’t guess that they had practically hated each other in the beginning, when now you would only see the together, joking along all day long.
“They are in our room.” He smiled back at her. “Jungkook wanted to show them his punching bag.”
Her soft laugh rang through his ears when he told her about the younger boys. He knew how much she wanted them to get along.
“They are inseparably now, aren’t they?” She chuckled, leaning back and shaking her head slightly. “I am happy though. I think he needed someone in his age to hang out with.”
“You are in his age.” Jin responded, placing his elbows on the table and resting his head on his hands.
“But I am not a boy.” She rolled her eyes, but held a tone of humour in her voice.
Both of them were laughing by now. Jin enjoyed those moments with Hope. He loved to joke along with her, because despite her age she was really mature in her personality which made him feel less old. After all, he was over 4 years older than Jungkook.
While talking to each other, Jin carefully lifted his tail and placed it in her lap. A few days ago, when the both of them had been cooking together in the kitchen, Jin accidently had brushed his tail against her tight while swinging it around. He had been scared for the split of a second, that she might had been felt badgered by this kind of affection, but she had just smiled and told him that she like to feel his soft fur.
It had wondered him that he suddenly was okay with someone touching his tail, because in the past he had felt disgusted by such gestured. But with the girl, it felt more than right.
“So, how have you been with Jimin and Taehyung?” Hope asked, as she carefully took his tail and began to stroke the soft fur. How he wished that she would scratch his ears too.
“I had a good time with them.” Jin smiled at the memories he had made with the two tigers. “I actually had a talk with Taehyung the other day. He is a good listener I think.”
Jin had already spent some time with Jimin before. The younger boy was a funny, but lovely person. The white tiger had quickly warmed up towards him, and was even hugging him occasionally by now. Jin didn’t mind though. Jimin reminded him much of his younger brother, which made Jin like him even more.
Taehyung was still more reluctant when it came to physical affection, but after all, he wasn’t grumpy or arrogant anymore. He would now join them for breakfast or dinner, or he would joke around with the two other younger boys. It was the right decision to take them in.
“Are you going to adopt them too?” The question came rather spontaneous in Jin’s head. He didn’t mean to sound harsh in any way, but he eventually noticed how the question had caught the girl off guards. “I am sorry. This was inappropriate of me. I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable by asking that.”
“No, don’t be.” Jin felt his cheeks redden when he hear the tone of shyness in her voice. “To be honest with you, I have thought about it for a teeny-tiny second. But it is way too soon to make a decision. Let’s just wait for another few weeks how it will be going with the five of us, okay?”
Jin just nodded and closed his eyes for a second. Could he imagine to live with those two tigers for the rest of his life? When he thought about that, he suddenly realized that he had never considered that the girl had her own life too. He didn’t mind having Jimin and Taehyung in addition here, but what was when someday, she would suddenly bring another boy back home.
His stomach pulled together when he thought about such a scenario. He didn’t want to see her hugging or even kissing some stranger boy, who wouldn’t even know how lucky he was to be with her. No one could ever see what she had done for him and his brother, and of course for Jimin and Taehyung as well.
What kind of boy would she even like? Would she think of him rather cute, because of his ears or because he loved to cook for all of them, or would she rather think of him as a real man even though he wasn’t as muscular as Jungkook?
“Are you okay? Did I hurt your tail?” He opened his eyes when he heard her worried voice. She must have seen the confusion in his eyes, because she chuckled slightly. “You suddenly growled. I thought that I might have hurt you.”
Jin’s cheeks redden. He had even realized that he had begun to growl. Quickly, he shook his head, gesturing for her to go on stroking his tail. It was just now that his gaze fell fully onto her face. The morning sun fell through the big window in the living room, right onto her face, lighting it up.
Hope had the deepest brown eyes he had ever seen, surrounded by her thick, black lashes. They would even sparkle when she was talking about something she liked or when the sun was shining onto her face like in that moment. Her plumb, full lips that would reveal her white teeth and cute dimples when she was laughing about something he said. It was the best feeling.
He had caught himself more than one time thinking about her in that way. He didn’t know what was happening with his body, but he did know that he loved the things he felt when he was around the small girl. He wanted to feel those emotions every day and every second for the rest of his life.
Back then, when his old owners had taken him to fights, he had secretly talked to other Hybrids from time to time who had told them about their lives. Some of them had even told him about their mates and how it was the best feeling in the world to finally find one’s mate.
Jin didn’t know how it felt to finally find one’s mate. He had never had contact with other female Hybrids, but deep inside himself he didn’t want to find his mate in another female Hybrid. He wished that one day he would wake up and realized that Hope was his mate. Of course, it was just a dream of his. He didn’t even knew if it was possible for a Hybrid to find his mate in a human.
But then, he thought back at the night he had talked with Jungkook about his feelings towards the girl. It was not a problem for him that Jungkook liked the girl as well. After all, Jungkook was his brother and they had naturally a closer relationship towards each other. It was more about what he had told his younger brother.
“Forget it, Kook.” He had told him. “It’s impossible. You will never be more to her than a Hybrid. And even if, what would the people think of her? They will laugh about her. Do you want the people to laugh about her?”
He sighed inside him. She had given him more than he could have ever asked for. Should he really be so selfish and ask this much from her in addition, risking that the whole world would be laughing about here? No, he would not do this to her. He couldn’t do this to her.
“I thought about quitting university for a long time now.” He immediately was ripped out of his thoughts. “I want to work at the library instead.”
“What?” Jin asked confused, as he looked wide eyed at the girl in front of him.
She looked at him for another few seconds, before she broke out into a small giggling.
“I was just joking. I wanted to see if you are still with me.” She chuckled and Jin felt his heart beating faster. “You snoozed out for a few minutes. Did you think about something beautiful?”
Jin blinked a few times, before he carefully nodded, hoping that she wouldn’t notice the small shade of red on his cheeks.
“Some really beautiful.”

Hope laid backwards on her bed, arms spread out to either side of her. It was the day of all days she just wanted to go over as fast as possible. The whole morning, she had already tried to avoid going out of bed, staying as far away from her laptop and phone as possible.
While trying to think of anything but the one topic surrounding her, Jimin and Taehyung slipped into her head. Both of them had lived with her and the boys for several days now, and it had been nothing but amazing. Jungkook was having the time of his life with his both new friends, and there was nothing that made the girl happier.
Sometimes, it felt so weird having four people more in the house. It all happened so fast. One day, she found Jungkook starved and injure in an alley-way, and now she was living with four Hybrids. Though she wished that they all would had met under other circumstances, there was nothing she regrated since she had taken them all in. They had –
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at her door.
“Hope?” She could hear Jungkook’s soft voice coming from the behind the door, before he pushed it open and stepped inside.
The bunny Hybrid didn’t hesitate anymore to just step in and laid beside the girl on the bed. He crawled over towards her and rested his head onto her stomach. His floppy ears were now sprawled over her chest. The girl lifted her fingers and carefully drove her hands through the boy’s full hair.
“It’s 1 pm.” The boy mumbled against her shirt, turning his head to look up at her when the girl growled slightly under her breath. “You have to check if you have won.”
“I can’t win there.” The girl slightly chuckled at Jungkook’s words. “I am – I am a little bit scared, you know? I mean, I worked all my life for this moment. What if I messed up?”
Jungkook lifted his head from her stomach and leant himself onto his forearms, facing the girl directly. Because he had laid with the left side of his face onto her, his right ear had flopped over towards the left side of his face, making him look silly. Hope chuckled at this side and lifted her hand without thinking, flopping his ear back into the right place.
When she realized what she just had done, a heavy shade of red covered her face immediately. She thought that she might had just gone too far, but to her surprise, Jungkook just bobbed his ears up and down a few times, before he began to laugh, making her laugh as well.
“I don’t think you messed up.” He eventually whispered when they both had calmed down again. “You are the smartest girl I know. And the only girl I know, but still the smartest, and we need you to fight for us.”
For a few seconds, both young adults were just looking into each other’s eyes, and it was just now that Hope realizes how close their face had actually been all the time. Her eyes flickered towards the bunny’s full lips, that seemed to glow as the light of the sun fell onto his flawless face. It would be so easy to just lean forward, making their lips touch.
When her gaze met Jungkook’s eyes again, she saw his giant, big, brown orbs that just flickered back up from her lips. He was still leaning on his forearms in front of her, and like in slow-motion, both of them leant into each other. None of them had ever make such an experience before, but it was like they were just guided by their instincts.
They were still staring into each other’s eyes when their noses were already touching, nuzzling against each other, before she closed her eyes and was about to close the last few inches between their lips, when suddenly –
“Hope! Jungkook!” The sound of Jimin’s voice made them pull apart immediately.
Hope’s face felt like it would burst in heat when they both giggled with each other like teenagers. Jungkook’s big, brown orbs were staring directly into her eyes once again, gesturing her to come over into the living room. Hypnotised by his begging eyes, she nodded and pushed herself up from the bed, following the excited bunny into the living room.
There was no going back now. In the next following minutes she would find out whether she passed her final exams, or if she had just wasted several years of her life. Just in that moment, the question what she would do if she would not have passed it hit her hard. Immediately, her breathing got harsher and louder. There was no plan B.
If she would not have passed, she would not earn money anymore to afford this apartment. She would have to move into a smaller apartment with the boys and – the boys! How should she get five people through without –
“Hey.” Two strong arms wrapped themselves around her from behind, making her snap out of her thoughts, just to see that all 4 Hybrids were looking at her wordily. “Your heart beat can be heard from 5 mile away. You need to calm down.”
Jin laid his head onto the girl’s head and wrapped his long tail around her waist, pulling her closer towards his chest and trying to calm her down a little bit more. Of course, he didn’t knew that her heart was also still beating so fast because of what had happened with Jungkook a few minute ago.
She tried to push the memory out of her mind for a second to hide her blushing face. Jin eventually let go of her when she took her seat in front of the laptop that was already placed on the dining table.
“Do I really have to –“ She turned herself away from the laptop, just to be pushed back by the leopard.
“Yes, you have to madam.” He pushed the whining girl in front of the computer and opened it.
Jungkook meanwhile had taken a seat next to the girl and was now reaching for her hand. His brown eyes were locked with hers as he carefully squeezed her smaller hands to encourage her. For a moment, she got lost in those dark orbs, before Taehyung’s voice made her look away.
“Why are you guys so nervous?” He looked between the girl and Jungkook.
She didn’t even listened to what Jimin answered his brother. Her fingers were literally shaking as she let the slide over the keyboard. Those questions, what if, were still running through her mind. It was not even about her in the first place. She would always find something else to get herself through, but the boys wouldn’t.
The website suddenly opened up. With a last glance to Jin, who stood behind the computer, arms crossed and feet taping on the ground, she took a deep breath and entered her password. She pushed enter and immediately a list of hundreds of named popped open. She didn’t had to scroll far down, because her name stood almost at the beginning. Her heart stopped when her eyes slide over the row
“And?” Jimin asked nervously, his ears standing up highly.
Hope couldn’t talk. Her emotions were running wild, kicking into her system and spreading off all the adrenalin she had. She slowly pulled her hands away from Jungkook and brought them up towards her mouth, before she closed her eyes and a loud sob left her mouth.
The room fell into a silence and the only sounds that could be heard where her small sobs. The boys were just looking at each other, not knowing what to do.
“Hope?” Jin walked up towards her and wrapped his arms around her trembling body, before rubbing his head into the creak of her neck.
“I did it.” She finally piped, her voice was shaking slightly. “I did it.”
When she spoke the words out loud, it was the first moment that she actually realized the situation she was in. She passed her exams, those exams that authorized her to become a lawyer.
“Why are you crying then?” Jimin asked confused, taking a step closer as well. “Aren’t you happy, Hope?”
“I think she is crying because she is happy.” Jimin looked at his brother, even more confused than before.
“Human cry when they are happy?” He asked again, cocking his left eyebrow up.
The tears were still running down her cheeks, soaking Jin’s white shirt as she chuckled at Jimin. She was still too shocked to answer him, but luckily Jungkook already got her back. While he tried to explain her outburst of tears towards the white tiger, Hope’s eyes were still clued onto the passed-button.
In that moment, she felt nothing but pride and happiness inside her chest. She now had anything she could have ever asked for. She had great friends and roommates, that she already loved with all her heart and finally she also could chase her dream and help those who couldn’t help themselves. Could she ask for more?
Tumblr media
“Milk, eggs, noodles….” She mumbled to herself, as she strolled through the supermarket.
Jin was walking closely behind her, shoving the shopping cart in front of him. Jin was obsessed with going to the supermarket. She could see the sparkle in his eyes when she asked him to get the sugar all by himself or when he was allowed to pay for their groceries.
He always looked so proud and happy, and she knew that he just loved the feeling of being able to do anything he wanted to do, as long as his ears would stay hidden by his beanie and his tail hidden by the wide trousers. One day, he would never have to hide himself again, she would make sure of that, now that she had the power to change something.
She smiled when she remembered the previous day. The boys and her had celebrated her passed exams with a self-made meal and a movie night. It had been the first time that her and all 4 boys had spent time together without someone fighting with each other.
Jungkook had really got used two those two tigers, especially because they were also so obsessed with those video games. They would sit hours in front of the TV, swirling their fingers over the controllers with their eyes fixed on the screen. She even had to stop them a few days ago, since they had started playing in the morning until almost afternoon.
“What are you actually going to do now?” Jin appeared from behind her, pushing the cart faster to walk up next towards her. “Since you passed your exams, I mean.”
“For now, I will just try to gain some experiences in the lawyer business.” She sighed, as they took one last turn, making their way up towards the checkouts. “I already did some researches and there is indeed a small company for Hybrid rights here in New York. I will try to get a job there and once I saved enough money and gained some experiences, I am planning on maybe open my own business, you know?”
Jin knitted his eyebrows together for a moment, looking like he was thinking really hard.
“Will you let us work in your company?” He suddenly asked after a few seconds, stopping on his track.
Hope stopped in her ways as well, tuning fully back towards the leopard Hybrid. She had never thought about letting her boys work in her company, but it was actually a really good idea. She wanted to fight for Hybrid rights, so why not making a sign and hiring Hybrids as her assistants?
“I mean –“ She took a step closer towards Jin. “ – there is no law that Hybrids can’t go to work. I - I would love to have you guys helping me to build up an own business. It would definitely make point. But I don’t want you to be a means to an end, so if you want to help me I would be more than thankful for that and I would definitely treat you to be free in what you want to do. But I would never force you.”
Jin just stared into her eyes, making the girl think that she maybe said something wrong. But to her relief, a smile spread over his face and he started walking again.
“I would love to work for you.” He said happily. “I want to help you as much as I can. Do you think we would be the first company to have Hybrids as employers? ”
“I actually know some shops where Hybrids are working.” Hope chuckled. “Do you know that small bakery I usually get our bread rolls from? That old lady who owns the bakery adopted a cat Hybrid. He sometimes helps out when the old lady can’t go to work. He is a nice boy, I talked to him a few times. They don’t have much consumers, but I love their shop anyway.”
“As nice as we are?” Jin joked, but tensed up a little bit.
“No.” She replied, sinking her head as a small smile played on her lips. “No one could come close to you guys.”
They both broke out in small laughers, before they eventually reached the checkouts and put their things onto the band. Jin paid for their groceries, and the two of them walked out of the supermarket. Hope tried to convince Jin to let her carry at least one of the bag, since the boy had taken those two large bags. But Jin refused to let go of them and just started walking, so she had no other chance than to walk next to him.
From the first moment she had met Jin, he had always be a gentleman towards her. In the beginning more because he had been afraid to do something wrong, but by now Hope knew that it was his personality.
She didn’t mind though. It was a nice feeling when he would hold the door open for her to enter first, or when would hold her jacket so she could slip in easier. Many people in this world had unlearned what it means to be polite or courteous, which made her boys even more special.
When they were walking through the streets back home, the sun had already started to setting behind the walls of houses, making the sky sparkle in a beautiful red and orange colour. She closed her eyes for a moment and called an almost faded memory into her head.
“You know, when I was younger – “ She started and opened her eyes again. “ – I enjoyed watching the sun set. Me and my mother, we often sat down on that small hill behind our house and – “
“Jin?”
An unknown voice made her stop in her mid-sentence and in her tracks. Jin stopped walking too, turning his head around in surprise as he heard his name being called. A gasped left his mouth when he saw that person standing int front of them, making the girl wonder who this might be.
It was a boy, maybe as old as Jin or even a few years younger. The boy was smiling like crazy, showing off some slight dimples on his cheeks. He was pretty thin with just a baggy grey shirt and some dirty and ripped sweatpants but no shoes. Hope gasped slightly when she spotted the pair of beautiful, white furred ears on the top of his dark hairs and the fluffy, white tail behind his back, that he was shyly holding in his hands.
His eyes flickered happily between the girl and Jin, as if it wasn’t bothering him at all that he had no shoes one in the cold autumn evening or that a larger bruise was forming at his cheekbone. Luckily, she could not see any more of them on his arms or legs, as he took a step forward towards them.
“Don’t you remember me?” He asked in excited voice, as his ears twitched wildly around.
Jin seemed to remember whoever this was, because he placed the two grocery bags carefully on the ground and took a step forward as well.
“Hoseok?”

Too Many Kitties!
“I had six cats… Now I have six nearly naked men in my house…” you summarized out loud, rubbing your temples.
The cats you adopted turn out to be magic hybrids and they are so glad to be adopted by such a sweet mistress! You're not sending them away are you?!
Reader x Cat hybrid Bucci gang!
Wish fulfillment, fluff, cat hybrids, poly ships, surprise adoption, reader insert.
You were driving home after a long day at work. Nothing was going right at all. You had received a promotion at work a while ago, which you were initially excited about, but it really just meant you were handed off a complete dumpster fire for a small pay raise and your cat was your only salvation in these dark times.
You were actually thinking of getting a second one to keep Leone company. You’d get one from the pound when you had a little more free time. You weren’t really picky about breeds or things like that, but you wanted something cuddly.
Leone you had found on a rainy day under a dumpster. You had carefully kneeled in the filthy puddle around it and reached out to him. The look in his eyes broke your heart and you ran home with the big, soaking fur ball. He’d not even struggled when you bathed him, although he certainly howled like he was being murdered. It took him a long time to want to be touched after that first night, but now he greeted you when you came home with a rub against your legs, headbutts when you fed him, and he slept on the foot of your bed.
Thinking about it, it was raining just like that day now. Only by now you had a car. You looked into the grim alley you had found Leone in nearly steering off the road when you saw what you thought was a crate full of cats there. You blinked at yourself, thinking that had to be some kind of mistake. Who would leave a crate full of cats in this weather? You needed to check.
That U-turn you made could have landed you in prison if anyone was around, but you drove back up to the alleyway and heard the unmistakable yowling of cats. The bottom of their crate had filled up and the wet, mangy looking little gremlins were pawing at the bars, begging to be let out of the small basin they were sitting in. You slapped a hand over your mouth, shaking your head.
“Oh, no, babies. I’m not letting you out into the street, but I’m not leaving you here,” you said, grabbing the crate and tipping it over until the water was mostly if not completely out. It was hard to tell with the wet, furry sponges inside and the pouring rain that had soaked your hair and clothes as well now. It wasn’t just a drizzle, it was bad. You moved your car closer and hauled the crate the rest of the way and by some miracle got it into the trunk.
You turned the heat up for all of you and drove home, cooing soothingly at the soft meowing in the back.
When you opened the door Leone was there, joining the chorus of meows all around. You were all kinds of tired though, kicking the door shut and opening the big crate. You tore off your wet clothes down to your underwear, because it was freezing and examined the cats more closely for the first time.
They were a mixed bunch. One was white with black spots all over and bright blue eyes, almost snow leopard like, but it was most certainly a kitty. It was the first to tentatively step into your apartment and let out a less offended or scared sounding meow.
There was another white one, this one looking like one of those fancy, purebred, long haired ones, and it had bright red eyes. That one in particular was pressed as far back as possible, hissing even. You couldn’t really blame it. Your transport here had been less than gentle.
Then there was the small back one with little patches of orange. It was small and scrawny, you could tell it would be even when it was dry, but it had the brightest, most adoring purple eyes you had ever seen. It stayed cuddled close to the spotted white one, getting it all wet again trying to shake off.
Then there was a very exotic looking one. It was long and slender, with bronze fur and elegant spots and tiger like stripes. It had cheerful brown eyes and was the first to start looking around, under loud, meowing protest from Leone.
The last one was a small, fluffy one with gold fur and a slightly lighter patch in the shape of a heart on his chest. It’s green eyes studied you inquisitively, before getting out of the cage and bolting deeper into the apartment, getting a loud yowl of protest from Leone, who gave you an accusatory glare.
“Sorry for the surprise, Leone floof… I couldn’t leave them out in the rain, could I? And I do feel bad leaving you home alone all day now, so maybe you can get along? I’ll put up lost cat posters and call in with the local shelter, but I don’t think they were left out by accident…” you explained sadly, scooping the big, silver grump into your arms. He was so warm against your rain chilled skin and he didn’t even protest, just kept staring down at the other cats imperially from his place in your arms.
First order of business was getting the cats and yourself dry and warm. You toweled off the spotted white one, the exotic one, and managed to give the black one a cursory ruffle with a towel before it bolted. The blonde one had hidden under your couch, looking at you quietly with its tail twitching restlessly. You decided to leave it. You also didn’t dare get near the long haired white one.
Next was food and you wanted to be sure they all ate so you split them into different rooms, as much as possible, with a bowl of wet food each. White one in the crate, Leone in the kitchen as usual, gold in the living room, spotted white in your bedroom, exotic in your spare room, and black in the bathroom. In the minute or two they were all eating you quickly changed into something warm and dry and comfy. Dry and comfy being the dumbass giant onesie in your favorite color that you only ever wore around Leone.
You ran around to let the cats out of the rooms and checked to make sure they had eaten. They had. You collapsed on your favourite spot on the couch. You threw your electric blanket over your lap and turned it on and laid out the other over the free space on the couch where Leone liked to nap. As expected, your oldest cat curled up on it, purring happily, and the other cats caught on quickly, flopping down on either Leone’s blanket or you while you browsed your phone and decided tonight was a takeout kind of night.
The long haired white one came trotting over eventually and you slowly held out your hand to it until it dared come close enough to be lifted onto your lap. It was still kinda wet, but you could ignore that for now. The gold one peeked out from under the couch, still damp and sad looking as well, and you tried to reach, but it already hopped onto the couch and laid down on the backrest, watching you with its big, bottomless emeralds for eyes.
“I’ll probably have to name you all something, huh? Hmm…” You mused, holding the hissy baby still in your lap. It needed to dry up a little and you knew you’d never be able to pin him down with a hairdryer, so this was the best place for it. “You can be Pannacotta. Like the desert~” she told him.
The exotic looking one meowed as if to say they wanted to be named next. “Alright, you… Guido? Do you like that?” The cat meowed affirmatively and looked at the gold one.
“How about Giorno?” you asked the blonde kitten. It showed no outward response, but it didn’t seem to object. About what you could expect from a cat.
“You can be Arancia, with those bright orange spots~” you told the black cutie. Right away it seemed to meow something like the name and you laughed. “Narancia? Would you prefer that? Okay, it actually sounds cuter that way. Good call!” you laughed.
Last was the spotted one. You struggled with a name for a bit, thinking of a few and dismissing them. “I really like the name Bruno, but you’re a white kitty,” you eventually said. You’d already gotten kind of fixated on the name for him, assuming he was even a boy. You hadn’t checked. The spotted cat purred and came to cuddle up to you, which had to be the clearest consent you could get from any feline. “Alright, Bruno it is!” you agreed, snuggling with your new cats until the food arrived.
You didn’t feel like staying up late or doing much the rest of the evening. You checked a few missing pet sites and set a reminder in your phone to call the pound during your lunch break tomorrow. You were starting to hope no one was looking for them, because these kitties made you happy beyond belief in just one night, even if you felt a little bad for Leone now. However, strays don’t end up in a giant travel crate together and most of these cats looked like very expensive breeds.
You left the heated blankets on the couch on a low setting and quietly went to bed while the cats slept. Only Leone got up to follow you, as he normally did. You got in bed and he made a soft mewl that drew your attention.
“What’s wrong, Leone?” you asked softly, smiling as he rolled onto his back and exposed his soft little cat belly submissively. He’d never done this before and you giggled and rubbed his belly in slow reassuring strokes. “Don’t worry, baby. Someone’s probably busy looking for them right now. I don’t think I can take care of that many cats anyway. I’m too young to be an old lady with six cats, right? You’ll always be my favorite, Leone. Just don’t tell them, yeah? Kitty promise?” you whispered softly, smiling wider when he purred and cuddled up against your side.
The next morning you tried to feed all your new cats their wet food the same way you had the day before, but Giorno had somehow made it to the top of your bookcase and was not coming down. Panna had taken his spot under the couch and was similarly unmovable, and Narancia and Guido were both hovering by your door, ready to make a break for it.
You had a kibble feeder set up, so you fed Leone so he wouldn’t get grumpy and set out a bowl of special cat milk your first cat didn’t care for. It did catch the attention of your other cats, who were more interested in it and satisfied you hadn’t left out the new kitties food wise you got showered and dressed for work.
“Be good babies! I love you!” you called out, already excited to come home to your sweet cats tonight. You forced yourself not to get too excited. You also forbade yourself from shopping for an extra big litter box and collars and cat beds, because you already knew that the second you got a call about the owner being found you’d be heartbroken.
During your break you called a few of the shelters near you, reporting what had happened. They all recommended you take them to the vet to check for a chip, which you agreed to do. You booked an appointment at the vet and with gritted teeth you begged for the time off from your boss. He was not happy, since you were still in charge of a shitshow from hell and your predecessor had left a mountain of work to be sorted out for you. You were entitled to that time off though, so you got your vet visit, under the condition you worked some overtime again, which you already expected.
It was getting dark by the time you were on your way home and while you were happy there was the slight underlying anxiety your new babies might have demolished your home in your absence. You had no way of knowing if any of them had spraying issues or if they might need a special diet. Leone was a very clean and neat cat, who’s only messes were his litter box and some shed fur that couldn’t be helped.
There was also the chance they might have fought for whatever reason and you quickly forced that thought out of your mind.
You would come home and there would be six lovely kitties meowing hello and wanting food and you’d all cuddle on the couch together and you’d be alright.
You opened your door and were shocked by the smell before anything else. It wasn’t the smell of cat pee or blood, which you were happy about, but it smelled like food. Like pasta with red sauce, to be precise.
Okay… maybe your mom had come over and let herself in and made you dinner? It was unlike her to do that, especially unannounced, but it was the only semi-reasonable explanation you could come up with until a stranger came walking out of your kitchen.
“Mistress, you’re home! Bellissimo! Leone said you’re usually home sooner, so we were getting worried-”
“Who the fuck are you and why are you in my house?!” you yelled. You didn’t want to be rude, you really didn’t, but you did not know this man and he was standing in your hallway, wearing nothing except your girly white apron that you rarely ever used. The man was of medium build, tan skin and a black bob cut, with two black cat ears perched almost cutely on the sides. You weren’t sure if the not knowing or the almost naked part disturbed you more.
A few seconds later you would discover it was in fact neither of those things that bothered you most, it was that apron man wasn’t the only under dressed intruder in your house! “You don’t have to yell. You invited us in,” a tall, lean, brown haired male with leopard spotted cat ears said, coming out of your living room wearing a pair of your hipster panties with a leopard print that matched his ears and at this point you were groping behind you for the door handle.
“Vecellio is next door...” you said, thinking these guys were probably friends of your neighbors who let themselves in. Did you not lock the door? Did they find your spare key? Did they not realize they were in the wrong house?
“That’s… nice? But I don’t think that’s got anything to do with us,” apron man said.
“You’re home~!!!” a small, black haired boy yelled, coming down the stairs in a bright orange mini skirt that you had only worn for Halloween once. He looked like he wanted to come up and hug you, but your indignant yelp stopped him.
“Why are you wearing my clothes?!” you demanded, tucking yourself way back into the corner.
“Chill, you didn’t have any guy clothes. Just thought it’d be more polite to put something on than to greet you with our dicks out. We’ll take ‘em off if you want,” leopard print said, already hooking his thumb into the panties he was wearing.
“N-No, keep that on! That is not what I meant!” you said quickly.
“If she’s home, does that mean we can have dinner now?” the black haired boy in the skirt asked.
“Not yet, Narancia. I think our new mistress needs a little more explaining,” the first said, beckoning you further into your apartment. By now two more guys had appeared. One was wearing the bottoms of your strawberry print pajamas and more egregiously, holding your laptop! The other only had a white sheet around his waist like he belonged in a renaissance painting, which quite frankly, would not be wrong.
“You're damn right I need a fucking explanation!” you snapped, already at a point where you were willing to overlook the mistress part of that statement when you realized something that had you ready to escalate this situation from potential battery to potential murder. “Where are my cats?!”
Around the corner at that very moment came your big, silver fur ball and you exhaled a sigh of relief, getting down on one knee to pick him up quickly.
“Hey, Leone,” you said, considerably more calm, only for the sweet but distant tomcat you’d had for over a year to transform before your very eyes into a tall, naked, silver haired man with an impatient scowl, with you still kneeling at eye level with exposed groin as he cocked his hip and crossed his arms.
“Now will you make them leave?!” he asked.

i’m loving everything about this wip so far!!
how do you think the ROs would be in a modern setting? job, clothing choice, etc?
I’ve answered a similar ask here, but I am more than happy to add a little more!
Mal/Malik/Malika would be fashionable, but like tacky fashionable? Bright colors, leopard print, mixing prints… LOTS of accessories. They would still totally make it work though, to the annoyance of pretty much everyone. They’re also the person to accidentally gain a large social media following, by just being outgoing and positive and posting a lot of great pictures of themself in all the various places they travel to.
Silas’ fashion sense would be very classic and demure. Blazers, turtlenecks or button-up shirts and blouses, wide trousers, all in muted colors like beige, khaki, navy, etc.. They would spend pretty much every weekend with their family, not really one for going out to bars or other places with a lot of people they don’t know.
Khalida mostly wears secondhand clothes, some she’s gotten from family, the rest she’s gotten from thrift stores. A lot of accents of bright blue, which is her favorite color. She also enjoys spending time with her parents, but also with her mentor, who is the one who got her into all the various forms of self-defence classes she’s taking, and a stray cat that she has more or less adopted. The volunteer work she usually is up to is at a local animal shelter.
Rainn pretty much wears all black clothes, their style possibly a little more femme in a modern setting (dresses and skirts), but also a lot of leather/pleather. Since they probably wouldn’t have a “real” job, they’d spend their days in coffee shops and bars, and quite possibly leave a string of broken hearts in their wake.
The Unknown One would dress in suits for work, and like a lumberjack at home. In his free time, besides working on his fixer-upper house, TUO absolutely loves to cook and try new recepies. Preferably for a lot of friends and family.

Hey I love your blog could you please do 21 and 22 from the angst prompt list? With Calum?
I’m not sure if this was what you were hoping for but it’s kind cute and I like it.
warnings: cussing, very light sexual connotations, not really that angsty but also not fluffy.
Calum Hood x fem!reader
Angst 21: Its her isn’t it?
Angst 22: it’s always been her
———
“There’s no way you two broke up!” your old friend gasps, “don’t play with my feelings like that!”
You shrug, a small laugh escaping your mouth as you take a drink out of the coffee cup. “It wasn’t really going anywhere. We had a house and we acted like a married couple, but for him marriage was no where in sight, and I wanted to get married. We just had different priorities,” you tap your fingers on the cup, it’d been a year since you and Calum broke up. It was hard learning how to live without him, you hadn’t lived without him for going on six years and suddenly being single posed its challenges.
“Love’s not real,” her monotonous voice makes you laugh, but deep down you wonder if it holds truth, you were so in love with Calum, and yet you weren’t with him anymore.
“He has a new girlfriend I think,” you pull out your phone, “he’s been spotted with this new girl a few places, of course the paps are eating it up,”
“Has Calum Hood found his new Heartbreak Girl?” She reads from the headline, “Yikes,” she pushes your phone back, “first of all that’s a terrible headline, but two; no you’re his girl,”
“Beth!” You shake your head, “it’s been a year and I’m doing great without him! I have my apartment and job, I even adopted a couple lizards!”
“A lizard?”
“Yeah I have a bearded dragon named Spike, he’s cool, he eats bugs and vegetables. And a leopard gecko named Tangerine, she only eats bugs...”
“Y/N,” Beth laughs, “oh Honey you’re a mess,” you sigh letting your shoulders fall,
“It’s been a year and I still can’t go ten minutes without thinking about him... I’m going crazy!”
———
Calum smiles as he throws Duke’s toy across the yard, it was a stupid chicken toy that you had bought him years ago and it’s Duke’s favorite.
“Cally!” The high pitched squeal of Paige makes Calum want to hide but he turns around, smiling at his girlfriend. She poses, the blue swimsuit fitting her perfect and yet all he can think is how much better you would look.
“You look great,” Calum walks over faking a smile, his lips finding hers shortly. “The pool feels so good today, I got out the floaty that you like, the one with the cup–“
“Calum, baby,” Paige stops him with a sad smile, “I don’t really want to get in, I’ll just sit by the pool and tan, but you can get in,” Calum stops, licking his lips awkwardly,
“Oh uh, yeah that’s fine we can just hang out next to the pool,”
———
You drain the pasta before putting it into the sauce, tossing it with a smile before putting it on a plate.
You feel sad as you do it, Calum loved this recipe, memories of you making it for him flood into your mind.
“Damn something smells good!” Calum yells as he walks in, hurrying to the kitchen he wraps his arms around your waist, his lips feathering across your neck.
“It better,” you tease turning around with the sauce on a spoon for him to taste.
“A little more pepper and it’s perfect,” he says as he swallows, “fuck that’s so good,”
“I always forget to add more pepper,” you mumble and sprinkle more on your plate and taking a bite, perfect.
———
Calum peaks up from his book watching as Paige crosses the room naked, she crawls up into the bed and he chuckles at her. “What’re you doing?” He asks as her hand plays with the zipper of his pants,
“What does it look like?” She smirks back, but he stops her, shaking his head,
“Sorry babe, I’m just not feeling it tonight, I’m kind of tired.” Paige huffs sitting up, her eyes growing soft as she reaches down to put on her clothes.
“I knew it,” she whispers and Calum furrows his eyebrows.
“You knew what?”
“It’s her isn’t it?” Paige asks and Calum’s throat goes dry.
“W-who?”
“Y/N, you want her,” she sits on the end of the bed, “it’s okay if that’s it, I’m not hurt,”
“It’s always been her,” Calum sets his book down, “I’m so sorry Paige, I just miss her so fucking much,”
“I know, and I think you should talk to her.”
———
When there’s a knock on the door the next morning you’re not expecting to open it and reveal Calum, you blush when you look at what you’re wearing compared to him, he looks nice while you’re a mess and under further inspection you’re pretty sure you’re wearing one of his shirts.
“You got a lizard?” He asks a humored smile going to his face, “you always wanted one,”
You look at Spike for a moment before nodding, “yeah I have two, um, why’re you here?” Calum looks nervous, you know that he’s nervous; you know everything about him. “Do you want to come in?” He nods accepting the entry and you lead him to your couch.
“What have you been doing?” He asks and you laugh,
“Hanging out with my lizards... you?” Calum shrugs,
“I had a girlfriend for a minute, it didn’t last long?” He scratches his neck and you watch him closely,
“The blonde girl? Why didn’t it work out? She seemed like someone you’d like?” You weren’t sure why or how you got to this, why Calum is on your couch, but you’re thankful.
“Paige was someone I liked...” he trails off, “but I love you,”
You freeze, you’d heard him say it hundred of times but not for a whole year and it sounded nice. You cross you arms over yourself speechless.
“Sorry I don’t know why I’m here or why I said that, it’s been a year I need to get over you–“ he stands up but you grab his hand,
“Calum,” he looks at you, “I love you too.”

henry’s dragon (jj x emily)
there’s a lot of reptile talk and i’m only slightly sorry about it
It's not that they hadn't been expecting the question; after all, a pet had been on his most recent wish-list to Santa Claus. It wasn't that they didn't think Henry was irresponsible: he got fantastic grades in school, kept up with his sports and helped out enough around the house. He was even the one that took up most of the chores when it came to Sergio (he insisted). Really, there was no doubt in their minds that their son wouldn't take responsibility in taking care of another animal.
But it was too soon, and neither Emily or JJ wanted to start a habit of buying an animal on such short notice without instilling some kind of boundaries.
First and foremost, since everyone at the house had busy schedules, the new pet couldn't be something that require attention 24/7.
No mammals or birds—nothing that would be affected by significant spending some time alone.
Since the boys time was split between two houses, the animal had to be something that either JJ or Emily could easily take care of in Henry's absence.
No spiders or bugs and it had to fit in an enclosure that they capped off at 50 gallons—hey, they had to draw the line somewhere.
After months and months of researching, Henry finally decided between either a corn snake (only if it was on frozen thawed mice), a crested gecko, or a leopard gecko. Last week for his eleventh birthday, JJ and Emily had surprised him with a twenty gallon tank that would house either animal of his choice quite comfortably for a while and several necessities like a heating pad and a basking light and bulb.
To top everything off, Spencer and Penelope had surprised the boy with tickets to a reptile show that was taking place the following weekend so he could go and pick out his new pet.
(Whatever Henry decided to get, he could also get the appropriate hides, water bowls and supplements with the money his grandparents had given him.
Emily and JJ collectively agreed to pay for the animal as an additional birthday gift.)
They had both been immediately thrown out of their element when they walked into the convention center lobby and found people crowded around the hundreds upon hundreds of tables full of different animals.
"Look, momma, a dinosaur!"
Emily peers up briefly to follow the direction Michael is pointing in with a fond grin, an amused chuckle escaping her mouth as her gaze lands on the clear acrylic tank with a colorful lizard basking under a heat lamp. The blue sharpie on the tank advertises the species in quick-scrawled handwriting: "Uromastyx". Right below the name lists the price in smaller, more legible numbers: "$225".
She hums, giving Michael's ankles a gentle squeeze as she adjusts her hold to keep him from toppling off her shoulders or over her head. The lizard's face can really only be described as dinosaur like, face round and snout short and stubby with tiny black eyes that reflect the light from the bulb above. The animal's scales are mostly bright blue and green, bright yellow and orange spots stamped down the spine, visually leading to a long tail covered in stubbed spikes.
"It does look like a dinosaur, doesn't it?" she agrees with another chuckle, turning her head and resting her hand on Henry's shoulder when he comes bounding up to join them at the table, JJ not too far behind. "What do you think, Hen? You want to adopt a dinosaur?"
Henry pushes his glasses up his nose, eyes lighting up in excitement as he catches a glimpse of the lizard. "An ornate Uromastyx, cool!" he exclaims before turning back towards his mothers. "Did you know they have basking spots of up to 135°?"
A brief pause as he thinks, head tilting up to look at the ceiling. He scrunches his nose and giggles when JJ playfully sticks her tongue out at him.
"And they're mostly herbivores!" he adds as soon as he remembers.
JJ gives his shoulder a loving squeeze before glancing over at the tank. "It is a pretty lizard," she admits.
"It's too expensive," Henry shrugs, not too affected by the fact he probably would be leaving without the Uromastyx. "And I didn't research them enough. Besides, he would out grow the tank I have at home and I don't have the right things for him," he reasons.
A young woman working the booth shoots the family a polite smile before walking over. "Hey, there! Can I help you guys with anything?"
"No, thank you," Henry declines politely. "We're just looking!"
"Interested in Uros?" the woman asks Henry in attempts at conversation.
"They're neat!" he nods enthusiastically. "But not really for beginners."
The woman smiles, looking impressed. "From what I overheard, someone did their research." She glances up at Emily and JJ, politely offering her hand. "I'm Courtney," she introduces herself.
"Jennifer," JJ replies, shaking Courtney's hand with her practiced "liaison" smile, grazing her free hand in Henry's hair as she briefly introduces him, "Henry," before resting it on Emily's side. "My wife, Emily, and Michael."
"Hi," is Michael's shy greeting, lifting his hand before resting his chin on top of Emily's head as the brunette shakes Courtney's hand.
"Pleasure meeting you. First time here?" Courtney guesses with a knowing smile.
"Uh-huh!" Henry nods.
"Neither of us never been to one of these before," JJ explains. "We're not really sure where we're going."
Courtney nods in understanding, reaching under the table and pulling out a small stack of maps with the vendors and tables located on it. "This should help you guys out!"
Emily takes one of the maps, flipping i over and scanning the schedule on the back before giving the woman a grateful smile. "Thank you!"
"Not a problem at all," Courtney assures. "These can get a bit overwhelming the first time around. What are you guys looking for?"
"Geckos!" Henry supplies. "Or corn snakes."
"You'll find plenty of those around here," Courtney smiles at him before leaning in towards the family and muttering softly, "Between you and me, don't buy from that guy." She points to a vendor on the map.
"Bad rap?" JJ assumes.
"Sells sick, over priced animals," Courtney confirms just as softly. "Best vendors for geckos usually sell here..." She points to another space on the map. "And this group right here," She uses her pointer finger to gesture to a few vendors a few tables down. "Sell snakes that only eat frozen thawed, if that's something you're looking for."
JJ lets out a small sigh of relief. "Thank you so much."
Courtney shakes her head and holds up her palms with a warm smile. "Hey, not a problem at all. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up." She hands Henry one of the business cards and a sticker from the table. "You get some more experience with reptiles and ever want to get a Uromastyx, you know where to find us."
"Thank you!"
"You folks enjoy the show!" Courtney waves them away, giving them all warm smiles before heading off down the table to greet another person at the table.
"This place is awesome!" Henry exclaims, spreading out his arms to gesture around the room, eyes shining with glee.
JJ tears her gaze away from a massive Burmese python spotted like a cow, smiling down at the child and nodding in agreement. "It's something else."
"I'll say," Emily murmurs, turning the map in her hands with a small frown, bringing it closer to her face to make sure she's reading correctly. "Hey, Hen, what are "hots"?" She peers down at him, stopping briefly when they come across a table covered in plastic containers sealed shut with red electrical tape. One look at a container holding a white diamond back rattlesnake and she lets out a silent "oh" in realization. "These must be hots."
"Whoa!" Henry gasps in wonder, but stays back where he is. "Cool!"
JJ rests a hand on his shoulder, peering over him at the hundreds of venomous reptiles displayed on the table. A part of her is honestly surprised with how easily someone could come here and purchase some of the deadliest animals on earth. She personally doesn't see the appeal, but hey, to each their own.
"Am I crazy..." Emily leans in towards JJ's face and murmurs. "Or are some of these things kind of adorable?" she continues, discreetly pointing to a container labeled "gaboon viber".
The snake itself is gorgeous, short, stocky body curled over in a "C" shape. Bright orange, yellow and brown diamonds line down the serpent's back. The eyes are positioned almost directly on top of its head, one looking towards the right and the other facing the complete opposite direction. The goofy eyes, along with the chubby cheeks (most likely swollen with the venom glands) and a small horn at the tip of its nose make the snake look like a funny cartoon character.
"No, they're definitely cute," JJ easily agrees, finding another snake in a clear container with black electrical tape. The lid labels the snake inside as a "plains hognose". This snake has the same chubby cheeks as the viper and a little upturned snout, with eyes JJ can really only describe as "puppy like". "In a weird way."
"Moms, can I get a cobra?"
Glaring playfully at Henry, who points to a white monocled cobra with a shit eating grin on his face, JJ smirks, "You most certainly can not get a cobra!"
Emily reaches over and ruffles Henry's hair when he pouts in exaggeration. "Sorry, babe, your mom's the boss." She drops her voice a few octaves, smile light and teasing as she faux whispers, "Between me and you boys, I would have totally been okay with a cobra as long as you cleaned up after it."
JJ gently whacks Emily's side with the back of her hand, grinning when the brunette grabs her hand and links their fingers together. "Don't conspire with the kids to get venomous reptiles behind my back," she chides playfully.
"Busted, boys. No cobras," Emily sighs dramatically, her own smile wide when Michael giggles from above at her. "What a shame, too. I was going to name him Mr Sparkles."
"Mr Sparkles?!" Michael repeats incredulously between giggles.
"Yep, Mr Sparkles," Emily confirms firmly, grinning as they walk down the table and inspect more of the animals. "I was going to buy him a little leather jacket studded in rhinestones and everything."
"You're so weird!" Henry laughs, shaking his head before leaning into Emily, resting against her arm as they move.
"Proudly!" She grins, heart feeling so incredibly full with Henry leaning on her, Michael above on her shoulder and with JJ at her side. It felt right, so simple and so domestic to be like this. It's as if this was where she was meant to be all along. She feels even more content when JJ leans up and presses a soft kiss to her cheek as if to silently confess her own happiness.
It's perfect.
The family steadily makes their way down the rows and row of vendors, stopping every so often when specific animals catch their eye. There's a small vendor selling small exotic mammals that they spend a while at because the woman running the booth has a sugar glider on her shoulder. Michael and JJ are completely transfixed on the small animal, even more so when it decides to hop on top of JJ's head. She squeaks in surprise, while Emily and the boys laugh, the brunette quickly whipping out her phone to record a video to send to the team group chat later.
They stop at another vendor selling sulcata tortoises a few minutes later, the vendors allowing the boys to feed the giants a few leaves of romaine lettuce (another video recorded, but this time for Penelope because Emily and JJ know she would want to see as much of this as possible next girl's night).
It's nice to see how interactive some of the vendors are with the boys. Some allow them to pet certain display animals and talk to them about each one. Michael yelps in surprise when he pets a large tegu because the lizard flicks its tongue out lazily at the boy. Henry is a bit wary of a scaleless bearded dragon and corn snake, wrinkling his nose when he tentatively touches the animal with the vendor's approval.
("It looks like a ball sack," Emily whispers to JJ, eyeing the animal with as much distain as Henry. "It probably feels like one, too." Her own nose wrinkles at the thought, but a smile forms on her face when her wife laughs at her. "What? It's true! Probably!"
“Touch it and find out,” JJ challenges, laughing again when Emily shudders at the thought.
“Yeah, no thanks. I’ll pass.”)
They take plenty of pictures and videos of the boys, mostly standing back and letting the boys enjoy themselves. Though, the boys do convince their moms to participate in petting or holding certain animals. It doesn't take JJ much convincing to hold a tiny banana ball python (she thinks it's really pretty) and a pied ball python whose body consists of huge white spots (she refuses to believe it's real because what?!?) that just fit in her palm. Emily gets suckered into holding a massive carpet python with Henry, tensing only slightly when the snake flicks its tongue in her face.
Henry keeps an eye out for his perfect pet, regarding some of the corn snakes and crested geckos at some vendors with some interest, but moves on otherwise. It's not until they get to a table with a vendor selling leopard geckos that he really pays attention.
Henry looks at the animals in the tupperware containers, each shallow cylindrical container slotted perfectly in a custom black foam board. It made a lot of the animals' colors pop, especially the bright yellow, orange and white geckos in the middle of the board. The women note how Henry's gaze keeps going back to the row with several of these white and yellow geckos, obviously having peeked his interest the most. The last gecko in the row is a stunning bright orange, the tail thick and animal alert. The green marker on top of the lid lists the gecko as a "sub-adult tangerine 25% het temper $75" with the symbol off to the side listing it as a male.
Emily kneels down beside him, peeking between Henry and the gecko. “What are you thinking?”
“He’s pretty,” Henry says in awe. “His tail is thick and he looks really healthy.”
“You guys need any help?” the young man running the booth asks, coming up towards them from behind the table.
“Can I ask a few things about him?” Henry asks, carefully pointing out the orange gecko.
The young man replies with a warm smile, nodding. “Sure, go ahead.”
Emily holds her palms up in a peaceful gesture, letting Henry take the reigns. She stands up behind him, reaching out and grasping JJ’s hand when she comes up to her side with Michael on her opposite hip. “What’s happening? Did he find one?”
Emily smiles fondly at Henry, who’s asking simple, yet crucial, questions about the gecko with the vendor. “Yeah, I think so,” she replies quietly to her wife. “He really likes the orange one.”
The conversation seems to flow naturally between Henry and the vendor, the man periodically peering up at the women to engage them in the conversation about the animal, too. He asks Henry a few questions, nodding in approval when he replies with the information he learned while researching leopard geckos. “That guy right there is one of the friendliest geckos we’ve produced,” the guy adds, nodding to the orange gecko. “Really handleable and calm.”
With that confirmation, Henry turns his hopeful gaze up to his moms, silent question in his eyes.
“You guys can buy him and we’ll hold him back here if you need to pick up some more things or want to look around more so you’re not carrying him around all day,” the vendor assures.
JJ rests her hand on Henry’s shoulder. “This guy, huh?” she asks softly to confirm his choice, small smile on her face.
“I really like him,” Henry confirms with a nod.
“That settles it then,” Emily grins, slipping her wallet from her back pocket and handing over the cash for the animal, sealing the deal.
Henry beams as the man takes the cash, carefully sliding the gecko from the foam board and setting the container behind the table. Henry throws his arms excitedly around both women. “Thanks, moms! You guys are the best!”
Emily smooths her hand through his hair lovingly, smiling warmly as JJ bends and plants a kiss on his forehead.
“You guys can come back here and get him when you’re ready,” the vendor confirms for them, picking up a business card and handing it off to Henry. “If you guys have any more questions or if anything pops up, give us a call and we’ll help out, okay?”
“Thank you!” Henry says genuinely, clutching the card tightly with a grin before turning and tugging on his moms towards the back of the hall.
“Thank you so much,” JJ repeats towards the vendor, smiling warmly at him before allowing Henry to tug her towards the vendors selling supplies.
“See you soon!” the man calls out, waving to them before tending to another customer.
They look around at some more vendors, Henry stopping at a few to buy what he still needs for his new gecko along the way. Michael’s back down on the ground, following his older brother with the same enthusiasm. The two chatter amongst themselves excitedly. JJ and Emily fall in step behind them, watching on with fond smiles that never seem to leave their face even as they leave the convention hall with a new addition to the family in tow.
Emily looks back in the rear view mirror at the boys, smiling to herself as they lean their heads together to look at the gecko in the container secured on Henry’s lap. She turns when JJ leans over and presses a kiss to her shoulder, linking their free hands together in the space between the front seats, a comfortable silence falling between them. The drive home is filled with the excited chatter of their boys from the backseat, the distinct scent of the fast food they had quickly picked up for an easy dinner swarming the car.
It’s oddly comfortable in a way, Emily thinks to herself as the sun starts to set over the horizon. She’s never felt more at peace than she is right now, listening to the boys chatter in the background and feeling the warmth her wife provides as she leans her head on her shoulder.
It’s dark out by the time they get home, just ten minutes until the boys’ bedtime.
Henry and Michael immediately bound up to Henry’s room, the older boy setting the container down gently. He puts the small coleny of dubia roaches into a critter keeper with the food and gel water cubes before setting them off the side. Then, he begins to put the finishing touches to the tank, adding the hides and a small, shallow dish that he fills with calcium powder. Emily trails behind, helping out any way she could and taking the bottle of water JJ hands off to her from behind to cap off the water bowl.
The two women take a seat on Henry’s bed, watching the boys as Henry carefully lifts the container and sets it in the tank. He opens the lid and removes it from the tank, snapping the lid back in place. “We gotta let him come out on his own and get used to it before we pick him up,” he softly tells his younger brother, taking a step back from the tank and joining his moms on the bed. He climbs up between them, smushing himself at their sides and leaning against them. Emily hoists Michael up on her lap, planting a kiss on his head as they all watch the gecko slowly climb out of the container and begin to explore his new environment.
JJ plants a kiss on Henry’s head, reaching over and laying a hand comfortingly on Michael’s back as he leans tiredly against Emily. “What do you think?”
“I love him already,” Henry admits quietly, eyes following his new pet as he explores his tank.
“What are you gonna name him?” Emily wonders, rubbing Michael’s back soothingly to convince him to go to sleep.
“Mr Sparkles,” the toddler tiredly mumbles, cracking a smile at his own joke.
Henry giggles, sounding just as tired as his brother. He lets out a yawn, letting his head lean against JJ’s side. He brings up his hand, moving his glasses out of the way to rub his eye with the back of his hand. “Smaug,” he decides sleepily. “His name is Smaug.”
JJ reaches down, carefully removing his glasses and setting them on his desk before running her fingers soothingly through his hair. “I think that’s a perfect name,” she murmurs.
Her eyes flicker back to the tank, watching the gecko until she feels Henry’s full weight leaning into her. She turns to Emily, who silently confirms with a nod that both boys are asleep. She shifts Michael in her arms, pressing a kiss to his cheek and cradling the bak of his head as she stands. JJ slowly moves herself from the bed, managing to grab Henry in her arms to move him up towards his pillows. She flicks off his bedside lamp, blinking in surprise when the basking light to the gecko’s tank also goes dark before remembering that it’s on a timer. She leans down, pressing a soft kiss to Henry’s forehead and murmuring an “I love you” on his skin before moving for Emily to do the same.
They shuffle out to Michael’s room, JJ carefully and quietly shutting Henry’s door behind her. The routine is the same with Michael, laying him down in his bed, giving him a kiss goodnight and murmuring quiet “I love you”s on his skin before sneaking out and closing the door behind them.
JJ leans up, pressing a tired, soft kiss on Emily’s lips in the middle of the hallway, hoping to convey even the smallest amount of affection she holds for her wife with the simple gesture. Emily gently cups her face between her palms, melting into the gesture as she always does. “I love you,” she hums quietly on the blonde’s lips, smiling wide when she feels JJ smile against her.
“I love you. So much.”

Disabled OCs 2: Electric Boogaloo
it’s them, they’re here! Or yknow, a chunk of em. i had a LOT backlogged and there are even more in store i have saved away - the ones here are the most fleshed out!
To start, with who appears to already pique peeps interest:
Tumblr media
⬆️ Bumble Bea the flower-capybara!
Most notable is her golden and wild long flowing hair. It has green streaks through it, along with plenty of flowers; some grown by her, and others gathered throughout her life. They’re able to stay alive as long as she keeps them in her mane. Definitely the hippie type, she enjoys being around people and in nature. She is friendly towards everyone, and calls them all some variation of “honey” (hun, honey bun, hun bun..,), she’ll even sometimes pluck a flower to give to you!
Her original dream was to be a rockstar sensation, specializing in psychedelic rock. She even has her own custom guitar (which looks like a bumblebee!). Has hyperthyroidism and fibromyalgia - the chronic pain of which made her decide to retire. She’ll come out to play every so often, just not so extensively as before. For now, she simply hangs out with her family and helps them with their own problems.
Tumblr media
⬆️ Lonnie Lop the jerboa-rabbit!
Lonnie is a jokester who doesn’t take much seriously. So much so, he sometimes forgets that some topics are off limits. Barely being an adult, he has trouble judging people, and tends to take things at face value. He’s an overly emotional immature thing at times... but he’s discovered that his family is most important to him.
Lonnie wanted to become an idol more than anything way back when - he had the cuteness, the singing skill, the dancing and everything else! But they had all turned him down, and it’s not really a mystery why. He has a stoma on his abdomen and has a colostomy bag - the most decorated and brightly colored ones are his favorite. He is also borderline anemic and has pica - both of which caused an event that led to him getting the stoma in his childhood.
For now, he simply helps his family out with random little jobs. He looks up to Bumble, who he considers his sister. He still insists on becoming an idol somehow.
Tumblr media
⬆️ Otto the otter!
He is a jolly old man with a big heart, and a laugh so loud it shakes the building. Some people might be off-put by his openness, but he’s nothing but sincere. He will always set time aside to listen to whatever problems you may be having, though he isn’t exactly the most intellectual. He’s a lil’ confused but he’s got the spirit.
Otto has epilepsy, along with chronic migraines. All his sons and daughters left the nest and got careers in the technological industry, and he’s nothing but happy for them. But he stays away from screens and such. He’s moreso a man that works with his hands. And he does! Whenever he isn’t in the house with his new found family, he’ll be outside working on a project.
After the passing of his wife and his kids going on to do great things, he’s opened his house up for the ones who have no home. Many people have come to call his house ‘home’ and become part of the family. He fosters kids and helps people feel appreciated when they never have. Bumble came by long ago and is officially part of the family. Lonnie was the first foster kid at his home, and also was the first to be adopted by him.
Tumblr media
⬆️ Kato the croco-llope and Lea the sheep-leopard!
Lea has high morality, which many remember her for: she shall never speak ill of someone. Never outwardly be rude or mean to someone. She tends to prioritize helping others over herself, even to the point of bringing harm onto herself. At times like these, usually standoffish Kato will step in and stand up for her. They known each other for a very long time - Kato has known her most of his life, and Lea has known him for over a decade now.
Lea was born deaf and is very adept at ASL and reading lips. Kato lost his arm and eye, has hearing loss in his right ear, among other things, due to something that happened long ago. Despite this, he’s become quite skilled at kung fu - even CCMO has commended him, and request he train others at the dojo alongside him.
The two live at Otto’s Foster Home, with Lea having registered to be the full-time caretaker there. She made Kato go through the training and begrudgingly become registered as well, though he now enjoys it. Lea owns a specialized dulcimer while Kato has and can play his adungu. They’ll play as a duet for the kids sometimes, who always enjoy their little performances.
Tumblr media
⬆️ Donna the chameleon-iguana!
She herself has barely any recollection of what she’s like. She remembers slipping away... and then ‘waking up’ in PaRappa Town. after an unpleasant run-in with a certain flower girl, Donna is guided towards the Otto home with the help of a kind rapping dog. She was shaken from the experience still, and simply finds vacancy there.
She wasn’t willing to open up to anyone there, yet finds an unlikely friend in someone called Theo. With his roundabout help and the eventual help of the others who live there, she manages to recover from her past experiences and unlock her past, so that she can finally put her best foot forward.
Donna had untreated juvenile arthritis, and now consequentially has joint damage from it, among other things. She wears loose clothes and has long ties attached to zippers in order to help her move with less strain.
Tumblr media
⬆️ Theo the bugbot!
He is an old, cranky, pessimist grump who always has something snarky to say. You’d be lucky if he didn’t directly tell you straight to your face. Doesn’t acquaint much with the other people in the Otto household (where he resides), until he met Donna. They form an unlikely friendship - his abrasive attitude was what she needed to address her problems, and in turn, she helps him be less of an ass.
Congenitally amputated legs, so he attaches large wheels to spurs to get around. He also has pulmonary fibrosis that developed from sarcoidosis. He wears a powerful respirator he had built himself everywhere outside of his room. Hoists oxygen tanks on his back thanks to a vest he designed for himself. Theo also has a sort of addiction to chocolate - the one he wasn’t able to kick. He was very self-destructive in his youth, though he begrudgingly takes better care of himself now.
Theo is talented at home improvement, as can be seen with his assisted living tools. Though he’s embarrassed over it for multiple reasons, he can play the hurdy-gurdy quite well, and does so often when he’s alone in his room. He even played for Donna on one occasion, though he wouldn’t dream of showing the other people in the house his playing skills.
Tumblr media
⬆️ Angel the anteater and Cupcake the sugar glider!
Angel was an overachieving student at the college, going for a degree in writing, until the day she became sick with what she thought was the flu. But after weeks of rest, she became worse and worse - and was eventually diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis (commonly known as chronic fatigue syndrome). She joined a support group so as not to be alone during this time. and met Cupcake, who instantly took a liking to her.
Cupcake has Crohn’s disease, and visibility problems due to complications with Crohn’s disease. She had to radically change her diet from before; she eats plenty of honey which helps, but misses cocoa products. The two live together in one dorm, with Cupcake not even hesitating to help Angel with whatever she needs. She always wanted to be a nurse, though she was teaching as Home Ec now.
When Angel inevitably loses her schooling and thus her dorm, the two move in together into Otto’s home. Angel gives what she can by helping the kids with their school curriculum. Cupcake helps her with that, and also teaching the kids other things they need to know. Angel is able to play the harp, while Cupcake plays the harpsichord. They make a fantastic duo, both as a duet and otherwise.
Tumblr media
⬆️ Gilly Gary the garden snail!
A boy with the voice of an angel, Gilly was one of the foster kids at Otto’s home before being adopted by a quadruplet slug singing group. They all have a dream of being able to make it big performing all over the world - but until then, they perform at small venues all across PaRappa Town. They’ll sometimes even host fundraisers for homes and institutions that need it.
Though Gilly wants to be a star in the singing world, he doesn’t take much seriously. He just wants to goof off and have fun! He and Lonnie would raise trouble together, seeing as they brought the most mischievous side out of each other.
Gilly had his leg amputated at a young age due to a rapidly spreading infection, and uses Lofstran crutches to support himself. He really doesn’t care, though since he’s a bit of a fashionista (he adores the aesthetic of the mid to late 70s), he won’t EVER cut off a pant leg, and resigns to tucking it in instead. It comes in helpful when trying to sneak stuff into the movie theatre haha funni reference
Tumblr media
⬆️ Pekh the wolf-rooster!
This is a cheerful, euphoric man who rises up early every day to greet the sun. He is incredibly happy with himself, and chivalrous - anything he has, he immediately gives to someone else. He already knows he’s glorious, so someone else should have it instead! Though, he isn’t really the sharpest beak on the block. He may be easily confused by something you say, but he’d support you all the way.
His kidneys don’t work very well, and so he gets a dialysis 3 days a week, but takes care of his body otherwise. Why wouldn’t he? He’s the best! On his way to the doctor office, he’ll yodel aloud to himself and everyone around, and will continue while getting the dialysis done. He has an AV fistula in his left arm. He wanted the graft, but the fistula was the better option.
Some people are a bit annoyed by his self-euphoria, but others find it endearing. His family (everyone in the Otto household) see him as a beacon of happiness - Lonnie looks up to him, Theo gets irritated by his bubbliness, while everyone else in the house cheers him on.

And that’s the 2nd round of disabled OCs! I had a blast designing them all. I still have so many more that have yet to be 100% done yet (and i even have the first round to shine up and reintroduce)! I’ll see yall when i put up round 3! These were so exhausting to draww
