My thoughts during the Churro™ scene as a professionally licensed Yapper:
SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT:
While they’re in the canteen, there’s a moment where Art looks at Patrick and you can clearly see the relief in his eyes that he has his friend there with him. (Or does he??)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t think Art was lying about not keeping in touch with Patrick. In between his tennis career and his relationship, Patrick has neglected Art (which I think is because he’s so used to him being there that he just never fathomed him not being there which makes him complacent in their friendship).
But when Art realizes that once again Patrick has been taken away by just the mere image of Tashi, he’s hurt. I think in that moment Art wanted to feed that hurt, lash out and make Patrick feel the pain he feels for being left out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Art jokes about Patrick not being there to visit him because he misses him. He misses his friend, his constant and yes, it’s in a joking manner but Patrick sees thru him (as he always does).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The fucking head tilt took me out because it screams fond like ‘aw baby u really did miss me ure so cute when ure jealous but wont admit it’)
The entire scene (for me) turns into reassurances and doubts. Their friendship was being tested to see if it could withstand having to share their love and space with a third. Having to make concessions and space around their new desire and jealousy.
When Art tries to downplay his thoughts, trying to twist Tashi’s words to manipulate he was clearly being petty but I also think there’s some truth to his statement of not wanting Patrick to get hurt. He is his friend first but he also knows him (the same intrinsic way that Patrick knows Art) and how his friend will be able to bounce back from any relationship because Art truly doesn’t think these two are that serious (blinded by Patrick’s history and his own feelings). So Patrick sees the manipulation for what it is.
Tumblr media
(The fond look in his eye when Art isn’t looking. That man is in love your honor!!!!!)
Patrick knows Art was trying to manipulate him. He knows it and he likes it, encourages it even. He looks at him like he’s proud of Art. The fact that it mattered more to him that Art was actually being vocal about his own wants instead of repressing as he always did, even if it was through breaking him and his girlfriend up. He didn’t even see it as a threat because it never occurs to him that he could lose Tashi to Art (or vice versa) because at this point, he’s secure in his place within the triangle. But also reveals how insecure Art feels within that same triangle because of his perceived isolation.

jemily secret dating headcanon?
ohhh I have so many ideas!! here are just a few :)
Emily starts wearing an extra hair tie on their other wrist; when asked about it, she just says that she breaks a lot of them in the field (no one believes her)
JJ starts to smell like Emily's VERY EXPENSIVE French shampoo
Em doesn't talk to Morgan for a full day after he took her seat next to JJ on the jet (and cozied up to her) for the flight to and back from a case
They show up to Girl's Nights in each other's PJs/Hoodies
Both nearly kill someone out of worry every time the other is in the field with an unsub whose victimology matches them (ie: Em nearly cutting the blood circulation off in Morgan's arm when they hear that JJ got in a confrontation over comms)
Garcia and Tara have to pretend that they didn't see JJ hastily pull off Em in club bathrooms when they go out
One time when they're out to dinner with the team, JJ and Tara get up to go to the bathroom and accidentally switch seats when they get back. Em is talking to Reid and doesn't notice, proceeding to put her hand on Tara's leg. She almost yelps when she realizes and the whole team laughs while Em and JJ just try really hard not to look at each other.
People keep telling them they make a great couple and they horribly lie their way out of it
When there aren't enough hotel rooms on a case, they leave to room together before everyone else even discusses (even after Tara and PG start coming with them)
A lot of times when they get called in on days off, JJ and Emily almost answer each other's phones
They keep secret sticky note messages to talk to each other on paperwork days (it's more fun and involved than texting)
They come up with a series of inconspicuous facial expressions and hand signals say things like I love you and I miss you at work
One time PG comes with the BAU on a case, and the lead detective won't stop hitting on Emily. JJ nearly commits murder but keeps it cool to not blow their cover. However, later JJ and Emily are returning from sneaking off to talk in another room and almost walk in on PG chewing out the detective. She's talking about how JJ and Em are dating and to not step on the teams toes. The couple walk away so that they don't get caught but can't stop laughing when they get to the hotel that night

Normally when the bats had to work with the Justice League, Jason was left out of it. He was violent in a way they didn't approve of, and didn't exactly like mincing his words. But this time, apparently they were working with someone from a more violent culture, and they thought Jason could bridge the gap.
The Ghost King they called him, or just the Phantom. Apparently he was the resident hero of the afterlife itself and the ghosts currently terrorizing New Jersey, New York, and Ohio were his jurisdiction. But they were clearly targeting Justice League affiliated locations, so the idiots in spandex wanted to work together. And in ghost culture, physical violence is a show of respect or even a form of affection, so Jason had been called in. A few years ago they probably would have called in Damian, but the kid was currently having a morality crisis as he realized he wasn't as okay with murder as he thought. Fair, Jason guessed. He'd done pretty much the exact opposite after all.
"So did you guys actually establish contact with this Phantom guy, or did you just leave a note and expect him to follow it?" Jason gave the idiots a Look, because it really wouldn't be the first time it was the latter.
"We established contact Hood, gods just wait like thirty seconds." Fuck these moral high-ground types were the fucking worst.
"We've been waiting here for two hours, I have a right to be a bit snippy." Of course, as though to mock Jason specifically, a glowing green portal opened up as soon as he'd spoken. And out walked, wait-
"Danny?!"
"Jason?!"
Jason's twin brother.

Bruh the fact that you can feel Morpheus’ anger through the screen. You can see him tremble with rage as his voice becomes cold hard steel. We already knew Neil was right about what he said about Tom’s gravitas, but that scene was on a whole other level. Even I was terrified, Jesus Christ.
And you contrast that with how gentle he is with Calliope. How upset and terrified he is for her. How he actually begs her to accept his help, because he cannot bear to see her in this situation a second longer. How scared he is she’ll refuse out of pride as he did, because he’s been there and he knows the regret that comes after, and because he sees her imprisonment as so much worse than his. Because he knows Calliope, and it horrifies him that something like this has happened to her.
And at the end, you can really tell how part of him still loves her, and regrets so much about what has happened between them. Because like all his lovers, he’s given her a piece of his heart, and that will never change as the millennia go by. And for chrissake, their relationship lasted long enough for him to marry her, to father a son with her. To raise him and watch him grow up and be there with her and the rest of the Endless on Orpheus’ wedding day. And for Morpheus, even after thousands of years of bitterness and sorrow and regret, to come to her aid and demand she be freed, and to tremble even as she talks of forgiveness and presses her forehead to his cheek.

needles has the potential to be a genuine tragic character, someone (something?) who craves affection but is cursed to hurt anyone they touch, they can’t hold delicate things like balloons or paper because they pop or tear, maybe it hurts them if they move in certain ways. how log have they been Needles? did they grow up unable to play with other kids because of something they can’t control? did they seek love but was only met with rejection?
instead they are a cringefail loser

When Ahsoka tells Shin to surrender her weapon and says she can “help her”, Shin looks… scared, more so than anything else. She doesn’t try and attack anymore, granted she was outnumbered… she just runs. We also notice that Sabine is the only one who goes to run after her…I feel like this is definitely foreshadowing to something… and I hope it’s her redemption arc.

I think that the Supernatural fandom doesn't give Dean Winchester enough credit or hold John Winchester accountable nearly enough. I would argue that John's abuse (mental, emotional and physical) and its constant effect in both boys lives is constantly downplayed by a majority of the fanbase.
The parentification of an elder sibling has been proven to cause lasting issues and we see this throughout the show; when Dean is overly protective of Sam, treats Sam's life as more valuable than his own, can't picture a life where he's not needed, and his dismissal of Sam as a valuable contributor in an equal partnership. Dean is often criticized both in canon and by fans for being overbearing and codependent on Sam. This is a direct result of John Winchester's inability to parent.
Dean's emotional repression is shown to be caused by his father's militant behaviors and approach to parenting. Dean doesn't see his feelings as valid or important and thus turns to repression or unhealthy coping mechanisms as illustrated throughout the show. His alcoholism, violent outbursts, and unhealthy relationship with sex are all coping mechanisms he uses not to feel.
Through flashbacks (and some dialog) the viewer is show that Sam is more resentful towards John than Dean, and that he even holds resentment towards Dean for being the "perfect little soldier".
That's part of the reason Castiel is such a great foil for Dean, both are loyal to absent fathers' but while Dean was born with free will he follows his father's orders unwaveringly until sometime after his death, Cass a being created without free will breaks free of the command of his father and from his father's mission, becoming for all intents and purposes a Prodigal son like Sam.
Dean's adherence to his father's word is, much like Sam's rebellion a response to continued and repeated abuse, neither brother is perfect. And their father was the furthest thing from it.
