I kinda wanna read The Lost Tumb but starting a new book can be intimidating, can you tell me about why you like it so much?
Wow Okay, you have asked the question for one of the less verbose of the Locked tomb fans but I will try my best.
It has a wonderful mix of humor, drama, romance, violence and love, so much love. And they are not separate parts of the narrative. The humor and the violence mix together in a impressive balancing act of writing.
The characters are so weird. But the right kind of weird. The kind that makes them unique and fleshed out and, in the right light, protagonists of their own internal stories.
The main characters are a couple of unhinged lesbians that have one of the most interesting enemy to lovers (?) dynamics I have encountered. And truly changed how I see that sort of dynamic for the better.
Also bones, lots of bones. Have I told you about the bones? The aesthetics compel me to keep drawing them. It inspired me so much these past few months. Necromancy dude. Awesome aesthetic and magic system.
There is so much more but that is a start. Give it a shot, it's a wild ride!

I can not stress enough that the scene where Percy sends Medusas head to the gods is literally what made me fall in love with Percy as a character bc think about it hes just started his first quest, he's in more danger then he's ever been in his whole life, knowing almost every monster and God is currently out to get him personally, and the most important person in his life has been kidnapped by the god of the dead - so what does he do? He chooses to actively makes the situation worse by sending a middle finger right to the gods bc yeah fuck the gods
