Hey guys I wanna make a game
but I'm way off anything presentable so here's my all star development team. Is this reasonable? No. Is this more fun? Yes. Should artists just skip to where they're discussed and get their rightful ego-boost? Also yes
BTW this is like a super long post. You have been warned.
Director: me (of course)
Programers/game design: James/ the folks over at extra credits and their other projects. This is because they have years of game-design experience I just don't have. Obviously it's in like, the beta beta stage so I'm not commenting on this too much.
story/writing: Tale foundry. they have a lot of story experience I just don't have, again plus they probably have good printers being The Tale Foundry and all that.
Art direction: a combination of Red from OSP, aka Aurora comic, and dead sound , with Neytirix thrown in too. Aurora/Red because she has a very distinct, minimalist style that would do excellent with giving the game a style unto itself. This would be aided by Dead Sound, who's a good horror YouTuber that would add some nice contrast by just doing what he's currently doing. Now there might be some difficulties in combining the two artstyles, which is why I would employ Neytirix, who regularly does very horrific stuff but also does some very cute art. Heck, she's a master at combining the two into one part horror one part very cute, which draws the comedy out of the situation.
Other artist I would be excited to include:
@beautysnake: amazing artist, cannot recommend their animations enough. Except to those with photo-sensitivity, because there's a lot of flashing lights. But her animation work is impeccable, animating better than most full-form TV shows I see. Like, the equivalent to Arcane-levels of animation quality, relative to non-professional animation work. Deserves to just exist without any financial troubles for a few years just by the sheer quality of the work she produced
Aegean: Wings of Fire meme-poster that I just vibe with. Would go onto make all the dragons I could ever want
@dingodoodles/DingoDoodles: very similar artsyle to Aurora/Red, would help establish that kind of art as the default for this world/universe
Glitch/Liam Vickers: these are two separate artists in the same catagory because this is my speculative dream team post and you can't stop me >P. Also I really know them because of their amazing work on Murder Drones. They're not on the same level as BeautySnake, but that's like saying you're not on the same level as J.R.R. Tolkien. they're still amazing, with these very stylish set-pieces that just ooze imagination. Yeah that imagination is used to make horrific stuff, but again we need some amount of horror in this game. And their robot designs would be excellent in the art
@mechapen: Very cool art, I love how they can convey movement in their work. Also is heavily inspired by Anime, which I appreciate.
Other writers I would include (mostly story analysis, so not making the story moreso there to be critical of it):
Schee: is the dude who actually made me analyse my own work and find themes. I'm just going to point out that's better than the public school system did, but that's a massive disservice to Schee. His analysis is better than anything I could come up with, and his passion is palpable in every aspect.
@ohnoitstbskyen: does a lot of analysis, and has a backround in some kind of illistrative field (I can't remember for the life of me what it is exactly), but that gives him a unique perspective as to what to do with characters.
@orbitaldropkick: If you can stomach it, go read Kill Six Billion Demons. It's not complete, yet, but it's still like much better than a majority of the media I've consumed. That alone gives them the right to be on this list, and their use of utter brutality would be a nice contrasts, since we already have horror and comedy in here. But seriously, their writing is ascendant and I hope to one get to the level of mastery they have. And don't even get me started on the lore- amazing all of it. I'm excited for whatever else they do in their life, even if it's just retire.
Oh wiat... I forgot a director of marketing... I suppose @neil-gaiman could work, since he has a decently-sized Tumblr blog. I'm certain he has no other credentials, like writing on some of the most influential books in existence and popular TV show of this era with impeccable talent put into it. Nope. None of that exists, since his only claim to fame is this one tumblr blog

Earth's tilt has changed by 31.5 inches (80 centimeters) between 1993 and 2010 because of the amount of  groundwater humans have pumped from the planet's interior.  In that period, humans removed 2,150 gigatons of water from natural reservoirs in the planet's crust. The position of the rotational pole is not identical with the geographical north and south poles and actually changes over time, so the rotational axis cuts through different spots on the planet's crust at various points in time.  ... "Earth's rotational pole actually changes a lot," Ki-Weon Seo, a geophysicist at Seoul National University who led the study, said in a statement. "Our study shows that among climate-related causes, the redistribution of groundwater actually has the largest impact on the drift of the rotational pole."

the 5 senses are more limited than you think. the world we "see" is not what the world actually is. it is what the mind perceives which is not the same as the reality of the world.

when you watch the sunset it seems as if the sun is moving down and "setting" but really "the horizon moves up as the earth turns on its axis"
science proves that "you can only perceive a minute fraction of what actually exists" -> "a dog can sniff and differentiate 50 times more smells than you can. your ears can hear only a narrow range of pitches. and you eyes can only see colors from red to violet."
"beyond those pitches and colors lies a vast range of sound and light that you simply cant perceive. the point is, because the range of your senses is so limited, you cant fully and accurately perceive the world around you. only a tiny part is accessible."

so, for context. this was under a post of a transmasc who spoke about transmasc issues, and they called it misandry. i corrected them & said that what they experience is misogyny (+ transphobia). a transfem (person in the screenshots) commented how the people who say misandry doesn’t exist don’t know what they’re talking about because transmascs exist, to which i replied that we faced misogyny (& told them (the transfem) to be safe). they replied back, something along the lines of “my heart goes to you <3 we do need a term for the oppression transmascs face” & i agreed with them. they then followed me, and started replying to the others comments that i left under that post (the screenshots above). i seriously want to get to know transfems who are, you know, fucking normal. i do not want to have biases about them. but it’s hard when this is literally the majority of them, seemingly. they started off as loving & nice, and as soon as they saw that i disagree with them, they resorted to insults, and saying they didn’t care about “staying civilized” (when i was). they need to stop talking bs about radfeminism, and if they’re going to– they need to at least educate themselves on it. “white rich women”, are we being fucking serious?? also the whole “the male sex IS demonized”. lol. lmao even. “other forms of oppression stem from the male sex being demonized”– they are so clearly a mra, and they aren’t even attempting to cover that up. i seriously want to stay nuanced, but it’s genuinely hard when i keep encountering transfems who full-on claim that misandry is this fucking systemic axis of oppression that violently and unjustly punishes male people, and female people are just so privileged– when female people speak up about their oppression, we are just such red flags. and apparently also bio essentialist– oh, just how much we would benefit if they wanted to learn the definition of bio essentialism.
“other forms of oppression stem from the male sex being demonized, such as intersexism and transmisogyny” both are wrong. the male sex is not “demonized”, the traits this person listed are in fact celebrated on a male literally everywhere you go– the problem is when someone who is not male has them. butch lesbians & gnc women in general, tomboys, female people on t, intersex female people– when any of these groups possesses any of the traits you listed, they are demonized. intersexism is discrimination against intersex people– claiming that it originated from the oppression of male people (what the actual fuck i actually don’t even know how to put my frustration into words??) is just simply tone-deaf & insensitive to the fucking end. comparing real, tangible oppression of intersex people, to this imaginary word that describes an axis of oppression that is real by zero evidence– is actually fucking vile. transmisogyny did not originate from “misandry”, either. it’s ridiculous to claim it did. to claim that trans women, transfems & male dysphoric people are oppressed for being male– is this a mask-off moment?? transmisogyny stems from gncphobia, homophobia, misogyny, and the systemic discrimination against dysphoric folk– not from this so-called misandry.
i genuinely do want the best for transfems. i try to be respectful. i try to be nuanced. i try my best & i never give up on diplomacy, but god fuck. some of you are fucking insufferable. i need to meet transfems who will interact with me in good faith, who won’t resort to insults as soon as we disagree on something. i want to meet transfems & i want to interact with transfems– transfems who won’t stab me in the back.

I've recently started to create geometric drawings (axonometry) of mathematical functions, the same ones I usually tackle with code.
One could say it does not make sense to painstakingly draw what code could create quickly. But for me the interesting thing is to grasp these functions on a different, more intuitive level - compared to mentally processing mathematical formulae or casting it into computer code. After literally decades of dealing with mathematical expressions and code I have rediscovered descriptive geometry, as sort of a "third language" (in addition to math or code) to say the same things. I am also fascinated by the little math puzzles that pop up when I create these drawings, and which require a completely different approach than calculations or programming.
I am usually drawing them at least three times, until I am somewhat satisfied. The journey is the reward anyway :-)
Here is the work-in-progress photo of my taming two favorite functions of mine - often already used in my creative coding art. I called them "Reality and Imagination" as these are two "towers" or "trumpets" that represent real and imaginary part of the complex function 1/z. Grand words, but you also describe them as: Stack circular rings upon each, ring diameter decreasing reciprocally with height, align along the circumference. Then flip over, and then rotate by 90 degrees.
Circles are just ellipses, seems to be easy, but the 2D projections overlap greatly with the 3D axonometric image as I am currently using "small" A4 watercolor paper. The real challenge will be to convey the spirit of this trumpet-like surface without of course create all the giant circles.... as moving closer to the origin of the vertical axis, the radii of the circles get larger and larger, and finally the straight axis is the "circle with infinite radius".
Anyway, I actually do not really want to "explain math", I am more meditating upon these structures :-) I am drawing two versions in parallel - with slightly differently positioned 2D projections, and different sizes of the circles. The version were I colored the ellipses / circles already was the first, more rough one - and I guess I will test something more bold with that one. The other one will maybe become a more delicate drawing. I also admit, that I take a look at the code-generated structures - not for comparing details, but to get the overall look right :-)
