“Father,” Talia began conciliatorily, but Ra’s al Ghul was in no mood to be conciliated.

“No,” he said sharply, looming above her as she bowed her head in supplication.  His eyes flashed green, like jade in the sun, and surrounding the room were the silent sentinels of the Head’s personal guard.  “My decision is final.”

It was the heights of folly to argue with the Demon’s Head.  Talia gave it a try anyway.

“Please, Father,” she murmured.  “I beg your forbearance.  It was a child’s mistake, impulsive and accidental.  Please have mercy—”

“He murdered the best poisoner this side of the Iron Curtain,” Ra’s snapped, pacing around her, “by disemboweling him and then hanging him from his own guts.”  Talia winced, expression concealed by the fall of her hair.  “And you call this impulse?”

“The man tested poisons on children!” Talia protested.

“If I ended everyone who I had qualms with, I’d hardly have time for anything else,” Ra’s said, completing his circle and seating himself on the rough-hewn stone chair that served as a throne.  “I said no, and I meant it.”

“Please,” Talia begged again, “let me temper him, let me teach him—”

“He has murdered more than half his teachers.  Are you certain you’re willing to take that risk?”

Talia shoved upright in a rush of indignation.  “He isn’t killing indiscriminately!”  Ra’s raised an eyebrow and she flushed at being caught out.  “Father,” she said in a tone that was meant to be a reprimand and yet came out more a whine.

“No, daughter,” Ra’s said, stern and implacable.  “I allowed you your freedom when you brought the boy home, I allowed you your tests, your secrecy from the Bats.  I even allowed you the Lazarus Pit, when it was clear that little else would work.  But I refuse to let your wayward project rampage through every half-decent connection I have until no one at all will return my call or accept my reference.”

“You exaggerate, Father.”

“Slade Wilson turned down a contract without even glancing at it last month,” Ra’s said through gritted teeth.

Talia winced again.  In retrospect, perhaps Jason’s intimately graphic threat about ripping off Deathstroke’s balls at the first available opportunity hadn’t been all that…discreet.  However, it had mainly been the fault of whoever was idiotic enough to leave out that unfortunate picture of the mercenary pinning down Nightwing, and Talia had managed to calm Jason down with only one destroyed training room and a couple of minor casualties, and packed him off the very next day so he could rampage in peace.  She’d defy Ra’s to do any better.

“Father—”

“No.  I refuse to shelter him.  I refuse to send him away from training.  I want the boy gone, Talia.”

“So you will have me throw him out in the cold?” Talia hissed, stung, as she straightened to her feet.  “A child I have cared for and protected?  You will have me abandon him?”

Ra’s al Ghul, famed and feared Demon’s Head, rolled his eyes.

I always said that Peeta was far stronger than anyone gave him credit for. I remember reading a lot of bloggers who used to say that Peeta was so emotional and not strong enough for Katniss. And still, there are a few who still say Peeta is weak...

This guy was mentally and physically tortured at the age of seventeen. He was conditioned to act out of pure instinct to attack the girl he loved. They experimented on him and made him into a monster - a muttation - of who he was.

And in less than a year he could mentally pick apart the real memories from the implanted ones. And somehow find who the 'real' Peeta was. And go on to have a meaningful life with the woman he loved.

Maybe I'm not clear enough but yeah. Phantom is from other timeline but as I heard, Dan shoved time medalion into Danny's chest so now our boi has wonky relationship with time. When Barry erased "wrong timeline", Danny got yote into his time and was confused. Like, one day he wakes up in the middle of the nowhere because of some shit and isn't even surprised at first but then realises something is off. Especially when he gets to the nearest town. Things are all sorts of wrong, like:

There is less ambient ectoplasm in the air.

Meme references are just not right.

There is no supernatural war.

Nobody is trying to post mortem murder him for being a ghost.

There are a lot more heroes and the ones he knew are different, like, why is Batman suddenly so much against killing?

So he goes of to find Amity and see which one's of the ghosts bullshit he has to clean up this time, only to see his city... Normal? Happy even? No broken pavements or anti ghost tech? No teenage stans? No alive food? His parents are more of the local handymen than mad scientists?! There is SECOND HIM, who isn't a ghost in the slightest?!

WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED AND HOW DOES HE FIX IT?!

Because yeah, this world seems nicer than real one, but he just can't stay here. Ghosts are probably wrecking havoc in his Amity again and he needs to get back now.

Just question is how, because it starts to look like whole new world and not some weird hallucination or Desiree doing her shit again. However so much things is similar that he assumes it's different timeline. He dealt with these before, once, but he managed. He just needed to find this Clockwork guy that showed up last time and learn what he has to do to fix it.

Wait, his parents here didn't made portal and Vlad didn't either because they're actually kind of trisome (ew) and he didn't have enough time. That's alright, Danny was raised in the shadow of the portal, he knew everything about it by heart. He could built it on his own.

Wait, portal needs and sacrifice. Can he use this world's himself as a sacrifice? He could probably ask these heroes for help but on the other hand he really doesn't want to do this to him. Being Phantom majorly sucks ass and he is jealous but he knows better than to destroy other his life over it.

Before he can resolve his dilemma, something he does pings Justice League's radar and Flash is send to investigate. Thank ancients it's him because allegedly other heroes wouldn't really get it. But it was Flash who somehow gets at least part of it, gives him a food and takes him to the space station (in space!). Now they have meeting about him and he has best view of stars he could ever imagine. Even though they're a little different than he remembers from back home.

tim? tim goes the extra mile to not get adopted and then when he tells dick that bruce offered to, dick is like 😶 then jumps off the fire escape and runs. jason is, shocker, not a huge fan of this development, although when he learns about tim idk if tim has technically been adopted yet? either way, jason also learns about the new robin from newspapers lmao and is pissed

cass? honestly, from what i recall tim is pretty neutral, (i could be wrong), mostly just like ‘oop dick is not going to happy about this’. and dick isn’t. he was pissed, and it takes him a sec to feel differently. i don’t think we ever get a reaction from jason? he’s not really part of the fam when this happens

damian? instant enemies with tim. dick could care less about him. there’s a decent amount of time from when damian gets introduced to when dick (and eventually, sort of, tim) decide to make an effort to build a relationship with him- which dick doesn’t even seek out, damian has essentially been dropped off by talia and bruce is dead and alfred’s decided damian should be robin so dick doesn’t really have any choice but to roll with it. i don’t remember how cass reacts to damian/jason is even more so not part of the fam at that point

yes the way young women and teenage girls were sexualized in media in the early 00s was a problem. Yes it was frequently creepy.

But also: Dean Winchester's behavior was very normal for the type of character he was at the time. Judging him, especially early seasons him, by the standards of today is valid - but you should understand that by the standards of then he was pretty normal.
