BIOGRAPHY.

KIDNAPPING TW, DEATH TW, MURDER TW

The beginning of your story remains a slight blur. You remember traveling through Europe alongside your family one summer--- your young feet unable to keep up with your parents' quick pace. You remember getting separated from them in a crowd--- your eyes wide and panicky as unknown figures meld together. You remember a kind woman grabbing her hand and offering you words of comfort in Russian--- your eyes softly drifting close as you let yourself be swept away from the crowd and into the life of the red eye.

The rest of your childhood consisted of harsh regiments and strict schedules. You never saw your family again, but as months went on, you began to forget they even existed. In your mind, the red eye was your true family. They raised you from nothing. They trained you and gave you a purpose in life. They valued you for your skills as well as your very presence. You desired to be the best, to morph yourself into their perfect soldier, all to make sure you're not abandoned like you were back then.

And you accomplished that goal. You completed every mission you were assigned. You made sure there were never any loose ends or pieces of evidence floating around. You became someone they knew they could count on, but that changed when you met CAROLINE. She was a CIA agent assigned to investigate the death of one of your victims, and you were sent to watch her and make sure she didn't connect you to the crime. You had never been in love before, but seeing her felt like floating on a cloud. You were smitten from day 1, and that feeling only intensified as you watched her work. She was throughout and no-nonsense, and you knew she'd be a good match for you.

Caroline wound up not being able to tie you to the crime, and you were able to avoid any further actions on your part. If anything, it gave you the freedom you needed to finally talk to her. The two of you connected right away, and a couple of years later, you found yourself married and in love. You never told her that you were tied to the red eye or that the crime scene she investigated was a courtesy of you, and she never told you that she worked for the CIA. As far as the two of you were concerned, you were just an ordinary couple who met in a big city.

You wished your lives could've been that simple. You began to long for the white picket fence and the children running around your feet, but fate had other plans in store for you. Caroline began investigating another death (courtesy of another red-eye agent), but this time, she found evidence at the crime scene: a few locks of hair were left near the murdered victim. The discovery alarmed your bosses, and you were sent the dreaded message later that day: assassinate Caroline Laurier.

You didn't know if they intentionally chose you for the job to punish you for allowing her to pry into the deaths, or if you were just the closest agent at the time. Either way, you were forced to carry out the request. In your mind, it was better this way. If you refused the order, they would just send another agent to finish the job. At least you'll be able to spend Caroline's final moments with her. At least you can say you're sorry one last time.

Caroline's death destroyed you. You became a shell of a man--- wracked with guilt and unable to accept the blood on your hands. You shut yourself off from red eye and abandoned all forms of communication in a bid to send them a message--- I'm through with this life. You knew it didn't work like that--- that one doesn't just leave red eye on their own volition. No, you're aware they won't stop hunting you down, that you're a loose end in their organization. You knew, but you didn't care. Let them come after you. Let them try and finish you off. Perhaps you deserve a brutal death. It would at least get you one step closer to atoning for your sins.

WANTED CONNECTIONS.

THE MIRAGE: Grey is haunted by memories of his wife. Your character is someone who looks almost identical to her. The sight of you unlocks something in Grey--- a curiosity? an obsession? a way to continue to beat himself up over the loss of Caroline? No matter the reason, he can't help but watch your character and long for the day when he can strike up a conversation--- if only to let himself finally accept that your character isn't a ghost from his past.

THE VENDETTA: Your character is the one who gave Grey his last assignment, and now he's on a mission to make your character feel the pain he's currently going through. He knows it's a suicide mission waiting to happen, that he should just remain low until time forgets about him, but love and grief can drive a man to do irrational things. He won't rest until he can get revenge- even if it kills him in the process.

THE HANDLER: Your character is the red-eye agent assigned to track down and bring Grey back to headquarters. The relationship is UTP--- could be someone who hated Grey and can't wait to see him killed, or it could be an old friend who quietly hopes Grey can slip out of their grasp. Either way, I expect a painful reunion and a discussion about the price it pays to be a red-eye agent.

THE FOLLOWER: Since Grey's inspiration includes Geralt of Rivia, your character would be the Jaskier. Just someone more on the goofy/light-hearted side who wants to break through Grey's serious demeanor. He's pretty much shut himself off from connections after the death of his wife, but your character won't seem to rest until they can make him crack a smile.

A/N: Despite NO ONE asking for this. I decided to make these intros based on the reader from this request. Because of her backstory, my mind started concocting scenarios of her meeting certain characters besides her family. So, I hope y'all like this one.

In the core country of the prosperous Bellareave's Alliance, in a world built on manipulation magic, 15-year-old Berenice Heldreth was forced into the role of Queen of Lorena while still grieving the loss of her sister and nephew.  She loses everything after an assassination attempt leads to a tragedy, forcing her out of Lorena and into a ragtag group of teens, all who had to turn away from the lives they were forced into.  As three powers fight to rule Lorena, Berenice and her only allies travel the five total Bellareave countries to make an impossible potion to take back Lorena and subsequently save the rest of the Alliance and everyone living in it. The question slowly transforms from whether they can take back Lorena, but whether or not they can make it out alive.

Grief/mourning - The characters will have to cope with plenty of grief at the beginning of the story and cope with more and more as the story progresses due to tragedies that happen. The characters rely on each other to cope with these losses.

Our first member's Berenice (the main character, 15 for a few chapters - 17 years old). Kinda angry at first but is usually the one who keeps the group together. She’s altruistic, sensitive, expressive and extroverted. She can manipulate lightning.

Next one is Enzo (14 - 15 years old). He's the Cinnamon Roll and the best fighter. He's the optimist of the team, but after *something* bad happened, he became more subdued and down to earth. He acts naive but is also energetic and caring. Best friends with Grigori.

Next is Marigold (16 - 17 years old). She has trajectory manipulation (for example, she can change the direction of an arrow) and is very passionate about things she cares about. She gets into fights pretty easily. Sarcastic but caring, holds grudges pretty easily, passionate and rebellious, at least visually. Hard on the outside and soft on the inside. Cousins with Isolde.

Next, we have Grigori (15 - 16 years old). He's quiet and selectively mute. Arguably went through the most before he met the others. He mediates between Marigold and whoever she's arguing with (likely Isolde) and is basically the result of what would happen if Berenice's goals weren't achieved. Smart, analytical, respectful, reserved, introverted but not shy, and has self-esteem issues. Best friends with Enzo.

Finally, we have Isolde (14 - 15 years old). She's the motherly one on the team, but like Enzo, she got into a situation that made her more down to earth. Cares about all of them very deeply and is willing to put her own motivations aside to help the others. Basically the backup optimist if Enzo isn't there lol. Caring but can be smug, stubborn to no end, motherly, and doesn’t give up easily. Cousins with Marigold.

Davrin and Assan were foretold

If you’ve paid any attention to Thedas lore, you will at least have heard the mention of Garahel, hero of the Battle of Ayesleigh that put an end to the Fourth Blight, canonically said to be the most famous Warden in history prior to the Hero of Ferelden.

The name “Garahel” stands for much of what the Grey Warden Order values most and would prefer to be known for: Pride. Honor. Selflessness. Warden Garahel was a notable elven hero whom even humans must revere for his bravery and sacrifice as slayer of the Archdemon Andoral.   The Warden’s legendary charm, intelligence, and keen political sense drew countless allies to battle against the darkspawn hordes of the Fourth Blight, a fight that lasted well over a decade. In addition to recruiting Wardens from the Anderfels and Orlais, Garahel negotiated the support of Free Marcher royalty, creating a united army that finally broke the infamous siege of Hossberg, setting into motion the end of the Blight. War and circumstance shaped the young elf into a canny commander. He was very aware that Blights are not defeated by a single hero. He once noted to his sister Isseya that “heroism is just another word for horror.”   Less well documented is the person behind the legend: the golden-haired elf, whose green eyes twinkled as he shared a story, told a joke, or flirted shamelessly. It is written that people from all walks were drawn to Garahel, as his manner and wit drove life’s unpleasantness from their minds and allowed them to think of a better tomorrow.   As a Warden recruit in the Fourth Blight’s early years, Garahel made his first griffon flight in 5:12 Exalted on a beast he’d only just met and would dub Crookytail. The odd griffon was not solid gray like most of his brethren. Crookytail’s feathers were tinted with dusky brown; white patches decorated his chest and belly. One of his ears flopped forward, and he had a distinctive, bushy tail with a prominent kink in it—giving him his name. Nevertheless, Crookytail’s strength, speed, and exceptional ability to find advantageous cracks in darkspawn formations made the beast and his rider one of the Grey Wardens’ best battle teams.   From their first flight, made to rescue the nobles of Antiva City from the pressing darkspawn hordes, to their final battle at Ayesleigh in 5:24 Exalted, where they sacrificed all to slay Andoral, Garahel and Crookytail were said to be inseparable. – The World of Thedas Volume 2, 2015

Does any of this remind you of someone? There is no doubt Davrin and Assan are meant to mirror Garahel and Crookytail.

Davrin stands for pride, honor and selflessness. He is a notable elven hero revered for his bravery and sacrifice, especially if he is chosen to lead the second team in act 3. He is charming, intelligent and sets into motion the end of the Blight by fighting in Hossberg (Wetlands). War and circumstance shapes him into a leader. He is aware that Blights are not defeated by a single hero. We’re all going on about how attractive and witty he is. He goes to battle alongside a griffon he has only just met, and said griffon is more brown than gray or white, with one floppy ear and a bushy tail. Together they make one of the Grey Wardens’ best battle teams, and from their first battle to their last, they’re inseparable.

Garahel had a sister by the name of Isseya, and it’s exactly the Isseya you think it is.

Even during the Fourth Blight, few knew the name of Garahel’s younger sister, Isseya. While her brother was outgoing, charming, and prone to heroism, Isseya was more modest and enjoyed studying and building her formidable magical skills. Her focus and determined nature, however, made her arguably as important to ending the Blight as her brother. He landed the killing blow upon the Archdemon; she helped ensure the survival of those most affected by the horrors of the age after Andoral’s defeat.   One of Isseya’s most important achievements was enchanting makeshift aravels: wagons, boats, any conveyance large enough to fit a number of people. These were fastened together, held above the ground by her skillful magic, and pulled by teams of griffons. Isseya conceived of and executed the first of many journeys using the aravels to move citizens of Wycome out of the Blight’s path and safely to Starkhaven.   Isseya’s other major impact on Thedas reached beyond the Blight and was both a blessing and a curse. As the desperate times called for equally serious measures, she turned to her fellow mage Calien to learn the basics of blood magic to fight the darkspawn. In trying to save a griffon that had been tainted by a darkspawn bite, she used a process similar to a Grey Warden Joining and inadvertently started a chain of events that led to the extinction of all griffons in Thedas.   However, it is rumored that, shortly before she left on her own Calling, Isseya found a way to preserve a clutch of griffon eggs, protected with a complex weave of magical guards. It is written that she hoped a like-minded mage could recover the eggs and perhaps find a way for the mighty griffons to again soar through the skies of Thedas. – The World of Thedas Volume 2, 2015

Not only were Davrin and Assan foretold, the entire Grey Warden storyline was. BioWare planted that seed almost ten years ago as something to potentially return to in the future, and they deliberately tied it into Veilguard.

This is my grey warden for my current world state. He's a city elf rogue who's romancing Zevran. He's not very talkative and is, for the most part, trying to focus on staying alive. In the beginning, he is standoffish and blunt, and honestly, he does not want to be there. Slowly, he does become a little less distant and is a bit more open; he's also gotten more comfortable with everyone in the party. He also has an interest in fashion and hunting (He slightly modified his armor due to that).

I am NOT a superhero. I do not handle weapons or fight crime. I sit at my desk and listen to your problems. Only thing I fight is depression, anxiety and inner demons. I don't Don any capes or catsuits unless it's Halloween night.

Yes my folks are Jean Grey and Scott Summers and yes that was tricky but I was mostly raised by my grandparents while they were still X-Men, on their farm in Tennessee so I'm a little country.

I love hot teas and a good cosy night in watching cheesy rom coms with a bucket of buttered popcorn on my lap.

Yes my hair is naturally red, you can thank my Mom for that and yes I do get freckles in the summer.

And finally, I kind of want a pet but I doubt they'd allow that at the Tower? Maybe a teacup poodle would be okay? I love dogs.

Hi Tumblr! It's your friendly neighborhood Witch! ^-^

In honor of Spring, new beginnings, and [[attemptlng]] to become a semi-organized Witch rather than a chaotic disorganized mess of one, I decided to start a new, wholly Witchcraft-focused blog! I'm quite excited to see where this goes!! This blog will be, as stated above, for Witchcraft and Witchcraft-related things, which may include [[but are not limited to in any way]]: resources, information, things I find interesting/may believe to be useful, pictures, memes, songs, personal thoughts/beliefs, meditations, spells, prayers, and anything else I feel may be pertinent or just fun to share!

A little bit about me to get the ball rolling:

~I'm a Solitary Eclectic Grey Witch, and have been practicing the Craft for going on 21+ years now! [[It's hard to believe haha, even for me!]]

~I'm in my early 30's.

~I primarily work with Hekate and Lilith, with Hekate being my Matron Deity/primary Deity I work with, and Lilith being my secondary Deity I work with.

~I'm Reiki Level I and II Certified!

~I'm a *major* music person. It's a huge part of both myself and my Craft.

~I've got a decent amount of Neurodiversity, including but not limited to: Bipolar Type 1, Depression, Anxiety, AuDHD [[where one presents with both Autistic and ADHD traits]], Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and FND and FMD [[Functional Neurological Disorder and Functional Muscular Disorder]]. It's a fun combination [[sarcasm]] but it keeps life extra interesting if nothing else! 😂
