one of our alters is technically from the dsmp but he's so far separated from his source he barely looks like the guy and doesn't use the same name anymore - hasn't in almost two years

and yet. we were still told to leave the server. because he existing at all was 'scaring people'. mind you none of them even met him, we just casually introduced him in the intro post.

(we barely mentioned his source, but we mentioned it the same way you'd introduce someone, ie 'this is max, he's from new york')

For context, I'm a Chūya introject. (Bungou Stray Dogs) The other day, I was talking to my boyfriend in our partner system, (He's a Dazai introject, big whoop!) And I got fake claimed by someone on Discord (Who is a singlet, and pro endo!! I had no idea), and mentioned my boyfriend. They started saying I wasn't real for dating someone from the same source (especially being a popular ship) Like, what?? Is it really THAT BAD?, And I wasn't "in character." Lmao I can't with these pro endos

We were in a server where if a user had a certain discomfort towards a media (ex: DSMP, Genshin Impact, MCYT to name a few), the staff would inform any alters whose source was one of those media that they were not allowed to talk in the server. Like at all. Not even in bot channels. I’m happy the server got nuked.

Still thinking about the guy who called someone I knew "sick" for having alters that hated each other in their source dating. Buddy.. alters aren't their source and either way they just. Dont like each other? Why is that problematic?

you aren't a bad person if your source is terrible.

you aren't a bad person if your source is an abuser.

you aren't a bad person if your source is a rapist.

you aren't a bad person if your source has a problematic creator.

you aren't a bad person if your source is anything, anything.

However, if you blame an introject for their source, tell them to kill themselves for it, treat them like their source when they tell you not too, push boundaries or persistently ask them questions, try and make it like they should be extremely ashamed and horrified 24/7 atwhere they introjected from. You are an asshole.

Get normaler about introjects by the way. This isn't limited to fictives, either. Get normal about factives as well. When I say introjects in my posts, I always include factives. Some people seem to forget that factives are included in introjection.
