how to shift whenever (from an experienced shifter)

i see so many people still talking about shifting like it’s this impossible thing, like you have to beg the universe for it or spend months trying every method out there. so here’s the truth, from someone who’s actually been shifting consistently for a while:

you can shift whenever you want.

and no, that’s not just motivational bs, that’s literally how it works when you understand what shifting actually is.

shifting isn’t something you try to do. it’s something you allow. the version of you that already lives in your desired reality? they already exist. your job isn’t to create them , it’s to align with them.

you don’t need to feel tingles or hear signs or vibrate at some perfect level. you don’t need the perfect sleep schedule or the perfect script. what you need is clarity.

clarity that says: “i know what i want. i know it already exists. and i trust myself enough to go there.”

when i shift, i don’t force it. i don’t chase it. i become it.

it’s just a decision:

a breath.

a moment.

a quiet “i’m already there.”

and then i fall into it.

not because i’m trying so hard, but because i finally stopped trying.

once you drop the resistance, once you stop doubting, you realize how easy it is. how natural. how familiar.

there’s no big secret. no magic formula.

just presence. trust. surrender.

and once you taste it? once you know you can do it?

you’ll never stress about it again.

Oracle (on the comms): Go to the hospital.

Nightwing (ignoring the urgency, focusing on the knife): ...No. If I jiggle it a bit, you think it won't do too much damage?

Red Hood (answering on his comm): Probably should wait till you get home.

Red Robin (chiming in): How big is the dagger?

Nightwing (poking): A regular sized switch blade.

Red Robin (speaking from experience): Oh, just head to your place, bite down on a spoon and sanitize the wound in alcohol.

Red Hood: Yeah and sew the wound slowly. Then drink Jack Daniels. That's a good comfort drink.

Red Robin: I drink ginger tea.

Oracle (regretting knowing this man for a second): Thing one and two shut up. Seriously, Nightwing, go to the hospital!

Nightwing (cackle chuckle for a second): Oracle, you're so silly. Stop playing. If I pull it out now, apply pressure, then stop by a local gas station for gauze—

Batman tossed a goon across the floor like he was a pebble in the pond then pressed his own earpiece to talk.

Batman (on comms, father tone): GO TO THE HOSPITAL!

Nightwing: Yeah, but-

Batman (scolding for not listening): Nightwing.

Nightwing: What if I go home and patch-

Batman (disappointed father tone): Nightwing.

Nightwing pouted, stomping his foot saddened he'd have to call it a night.

Nightwing: Ugh, fine! I really hate going there; it always takes forever to see a doctor. If I wanted to leave early, it shouldn't be due to getting stabbed!

Batman: I've been through the same thing, but it's worth it. Okay?

Nightwing: Alright.

Oracle: You’re seriously going to listen to him over your own friend?!

Nightwing: Yeah... He’s Batman and my papa. Why wouldn’t I listen to him?

Oracle: Oh my God, that’s not a valid reason!

Batman (agreeing with his cause he's Batman): It makes perfect sense to me.

Oracle slammed her head onto her desk, groaning in frustration.

Fellow Gravity Falls fans, it is with great excitement that I reveal, the script to Not What He Seems!!

In 2015, a guy named Mason McGrew won a contest Alex Hirsch was hosting by making this awesome stop motion video of the theme song with the VinylMation toys!

His prize was the entire script to Gravity Falls' biggest episode!

I reached out to him last week and he graciously scanned every page and gave me permission to release it for you all to read.

There are some differences in it to the actual episode. Some funny and some...I'm gonna go cry now ;-;

Jason without a second thought kicked Tim in the face, sending him to the floor.

Tim (shocked, anger): What the fuck?!

Duke (deadpan): I said slap.

Jason: Oh right, hold on.

Jason helped Tim up and then back hand slapped him across the face. Tim spun around and collapsed to the ground again.

Tim: Ow, I bit my cheek that time!

Tim moaned in pain.

Jason (pretending to be ignorant): Wait did you say favorite brother? I thought you meant if I had to slap one.

Tim: You know that's not what he said!

Duke (amused): You'd win, but Holy pimp slap Batman. Damn!

Tim: How much can I get for this?

Tim kicked Jason in his crotch causing the man to fall to the ground as well. Duke took a sip from his coffee mug trying not to laugh.

i noticed a while back that Lyse, Alisaie, and Tataru seemed to be the only characters who say "maybe" regularly (as opposed to "perhaps" or "mayhap"). and a Reddit discussion about dialogue this morning made me go overboard again.

uhhhhh do with this information what you will?

if anyone has requests for other characters or other words; i can easily come up with their numbers too! (or you can grab the regex firefox extension i use here)

specifically, the Reddit post i saw was about how XIV's dialogue (or at least the English localization) has gotten simpler and blander over time — not just in Dawntrail, not just as part of the overall Dawntrail hate, but as early as Shadowbringers.

it's not something i've thought about a whole lot to have a strong opinion on tbh. but it did make me remember this thought about "maybe" i'd had in the past, and i wanted to crunch the numbers to see if i could learn anything. and my footnotes at the end are my notes to that effect.

Alphinaud, G'raha, and Estinien starting to use maybe could be a case study in XIV's dialogue becoming blander. or it could be a way of showing that they've become more relaxed as people, and more comfortable within the party. either way, i just thought tumblr might like this info!

Is Shen Jiu still trying to move on from Yue Qingyuan in the cupid au?

to answer the question, he's tried many times but can't help himself. mostly because he's been slowly piecing together why Yue Qingyuan was (and still is) in love with him, when all he knew was thrown to the side in favor for his position in the cultivation world.

his decision to shoot Yue Qingyuan to fall in love with the current being residing in his body is to both try and do away with his bitterness and do something... good. at least he thinks it's a good idea, forcing Yue Qingyuan to move on from him and to this "better version of him". everyone else has moved on, except Yue Qingyuan.

by the time Shen Yuan dies, he's been isolating himself and doing this cupid job begrudingly that causes a lot of a sort of happiness for people. though, while that comes with a pain he is unsure if it's worse than the pain he felt when he was human. his whole plan of Yue Qingyuan falling in love with the thief in his body is kinda dead in the water if the thief is dead.

anyway Shen Yuan is annoying, but after watching him for years he is a little obsessed with the guy (good or bad? you decide).
