I think Toriel would totally get one of those projectors that show the stars to Sans. Maybe it came up that he loves astronomy or maybe Frisk or Papyrus let her know in secret, heck! Maybe it's from all of them. I think he wouldn't really know how to take it. Like bro sees it and goes '*oh neat.' and actually he's fucking dying inside.

TAZ Ethersea my beloved.....
#was thinking of all the god stuff in c 3 and for some reason it just made me remember how much I LOVED griffin's portrayal of gods#and magic in that world they all built together--#magic being drawn from these ancient 'relics' that are just...the bones and corpses of dead gods--#everything starts with the end of the world. but the world has ended before. over and over. and continues to because its a vicious#cycle. and people are too dependent on magic and a 'god' to let go of it--even when it keeps polluting the world#'gods' just being the survivors of the previous world that didn't make it. the last remnants of a world that is completely alien now#the 'gods' who tried to stop a never ending cycle from continuing to corrupt the world around them. the 'god' who decided that they#would still gift the people of this new world magic regardless even when they know it means the beginning of the end#all the fascinating different factions and how they tried to deal with a world that was falling part and how you rebuild after#the people who saw what their god had done and decided to walk away and abandon everything they know. to try again and start over--#build something better than the kingdom that had forsaken them--#the kingdom on the plateau who were very religious and believed they could 'ascend' to this other world to escape the end. the way#they took everyone with them regardless of whether or not they wanted to leave that plane. those who tried to stay behind lingering#as these ghosts and spirits. trying so hard to reconnect to the world they were torn from#the grand magical city of hominime managing to escape with their god's blessing. but their getaway is also ultimately what dooms#everyone else they left behind--#the CAMBRIA arc!!#brother seldom and all the religious trauma that went into that ending#this got too long but. i have so many feelings about ethersea id love to see more of it someday--#the worldbuilding is just so fascinating to me#I dont know where i was really going with this but like. even when we see some of the awful things Pelor has done. There are all these#other facets to him. He genuinely cares for mortals just as he cares for his immortal family. Ayden being proof that he can#change and wants to change and being this side of him that still has so much idealism and hope and has not yet been hardened#by the world#Benevolence Adventure Zone however i would fist fight in the ocean--

The conversation about congestion charges in New York is weird. Because those in favor can understand how this could be frustrating to certain people, while those against cannot fathom the idea that somebody might be on board.
(I am on board with it. For many many reasons)

anyway i lowkey wanna make a big masterpost and/or essay or whatever like as a handbook to night sky observing. not just in a like, here's how to identify constellations, but in the like. here's how to ground yourself here on earth and see the actual orbital configurations of our heliocentric solar system by simply observing planetary motions in the sky. and observe the fact that the earth is round by watching the motions of the seasonal constellations and draw some celestial sphere diagrams. etc
i'm like especially interested in archaeoastronomy lately because of these exercises in trying to generate an actual bodily intuition around astronomy beyond the math and programming that i learned in school, because it's like, this is the version of astronomy that existed for millennia upon millennia until technology advanced enough to make more complicated observations and conclusions. we literally only had our own eyes, bodies, and minds to puzzle it over for most of human history. and trying to recreate this in myself by teaching it to myself through brief stargazing sessions and many many sessions in stellarium in my free time is like, idk. really eye opening. it's one thing to be taught in school that yeah the earth is round and the sun is at the center of the solar system and there's other planets, and it's another thing to then do complicated math under those assumptions, and it's a different thing entirely when you actually then go outside and see with your own human eyes that those facts are true of the physical world you exist in. these aren't just abstract concepts but things that occupy the physical space that you live in
#and its also so fucking frustrating trying to puzzle out apparent retrograde motion and see it for myself in stellarium#and trying to then check my observations by comparing it to the officially calculated retrograde dates i find online#... and the only fucking websites hosting this information are all astrology websites#bitch i do not care about what mars in retrograde means i just want to See It In The Sky !!!#brot posts#astro posting#like idk im so used to seeing these diagrams of retrograde motion that made the backwards motion seem like so obvious#these big loops and shit#but then im sitting here staring at jupiter like. i dont see anything. wtf do you mean its in retrograde in october 2024 it's still fucking#moving westward even when not in retrograde what the hell#but then i had to zoom in and look at it relative to the background stars and its like. oh !!!#its in taurus and drifting eastward ever so slowly but then october happens and it starts drifting west towards the hyades#and its like such a small subtle movement i just kept missing it when i was zoomed all the way out#and now im like damn i cannot see it in real life outside stellarium because i cannot make most of taurus out with my eyes irl#i can only really see the hyades and the vague shape of taurus but i cant resolve the individual stars bc of light pollution#so its like. there's no real way for me to distinguish jupiter moving east/west night by night inside taurus then if i . cant see taurus#and so then after im done saying all this to myself im like. damn im in deep. lulz. no way i can explain this to another person irl

Mom mentioned Silent Spring today
Because there used to be no eagles around and there are lots now in this area. That book showed what DDT was doing to the environment
It is another example of a book changing the world. (Nonfiction this time.) I read it in college (college also when I learned Uncle Tom's Cabin was fuel for the abolitionist movement)
These things made me think of how a book by 1 person can change the world. (Mom even mentioned that today...)

When self-described ocean custodianā€ Boyan Slat took the stage at TED 2025 in Vancouver this week, he showed viewers a reality many of us are already heartbreakingly familiar with: There is a lot of trash in the ocean.
ā€œIf we allow current trends to continue, the amount of plastic that’s entering the ocean is actually set to double by 2060,ā€ Slat said in his TED Talk, which will be published online at a later date.Ā
Plus, once plastic is in the ocean, it accumulates in ā€œgiant circular currentsā€ called gyres, which Slat said operate a lot like the drain of the bathtub, meaning that plastic can enter these currents but cannot leave.
That’s how we get enormous build-ups like the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a giant collection of plastic pollution in the ocean that is roughly twice the size of Texas.
As the founder and CEO of The Ocean Cleanup, Slat’s goal is to return our oceans to their original, clean state before 2040. To accomplish this, two things must be done.
First: Stop more plastic from entering the ocean. Second: Clean up the ā€œlegacyā€ pollution that is already out there and doesn’t go away by itself.
And Slat is well on his way.
Tumblr media

When Slat’s first TEDx Talk went viral in 2012, he was able to organize research teams to create the first-ever map of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. From there, they created a technology to collect plastic from the most garbage-heavy areas in the ocean.
ā€œWe imagined a very long, u-shaped barrier … that would be pushed by wind and waves,ā€ Slat explained in his Talk.Ā
This barrier would act as a funnel to collect garbage and be emptied out for recycling.Ā
But there was a problem.
ā€œWe took it out in the ocean, and deployed it, and it didn’t collect plastic,ā€ Slat said, ā€œwhich is a pretty important requirement for an ocean cleanup system.ā€
Soon after, this first system broke into two. But a few days later, his team was already back to the drawing board.Ā
From here, they added vessels that would tow the system forward, allowing it to sweep a larger area and move more methodically through the water. Mesh attached to the barrier would gather plastic and guide it to a retention area, where it would be extracted and loaded onto a ship for sorting, processing, and recycling.Ā
It worked.Ā
ā€œFor 60 years, humanity had been putting plastic into the ocean, but from that day onwards, we were also taking it back out again,ā€ Slat said, with a video of the technology in action playing on screen behind him.
To applause, he said: ā€œIt’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, honestly.ā€
Over the years, Ocean Cleanup has scaled up this cleanup barrier, now measuring almost 2.5 kilometers — or about 1.5 miles — in length. And it cleans up an area of the ocean the size of a football field every five seconds.
Tumblr media
Pictured: The Ocean Cleanup's System 002 deployed in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Photo courtesy of The Ocean Cleanup
The system is designed to be safe for marine life, and once plastic is brought to land, it is recycled into new products, like sunglasses, accessories for electric vehicles, and even Coldplay’s latest vinyl record, according to Slat.Ā
These products fund the continuation of the cleanup. The next step of the project is to use drones to target areas of the ocean that have the highest plastic concentration.Ā
In September 2024, Ocean Cleanup predicted the Patch would be cleaned up within 10 years.Ā
However, on April 8, Slat estimated ā€œthat this fleet of systems can clean up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in as little as five years’ time.ā€
With ongoing support from MCS, a Netherlands-based Nokia company, Ocean Cleanup can quickly scale its reliable, real-time data and video communication to best target the problem.Ā
It’s the largest ocean cleanup in history.
But what about the plastic pollution coming into the ocean through rivers across the world? Ocean Cleanup is working on that, too.Ā
To study plastic pollution in other waterways, Ocean Cleanup attached AI cameras to bridges, measuring the flow of trash in dozens of rivers around the world, creating the first global model to predict where plastic is entering oceans.
ā€œWe discovered: Just 1% of the world’s rivers are responsible for about 80% of the plastic entering our oceans,ā€ Slat said.
His team found that coastal cities in middle-income countries were primarily responsible, as people living in these areas have enough wealth to buy things packaged in plastic, but governments can’t afford robust waste management infrastructure.Ā
Ocean Cleanup now tackles those 1% of rivers to capture the plastic before it reaches oceans.
Tumblr media
Pictured: Interceptor 007 in Los Angeles. Photo courtesy of The Ocean Cleanup
ā€œIt’s not a replacement for the slow but important work that’s being done to fix a broken system upstream,ā€ Slat said. ā€œBut we believe that tackling this 1% of rivers provides us with the only way to rapidly close the gap.ā€
To clean up plastic waste in rivers, Ocean Cleanup has implemented technology called ā€œinterceptors,ā€ which include solar-powered trash collectors and mobile systems in eight countries worldwide.
In Guatemala, an interceptor captured 1.4 million kilograms (or over 3 million pounds) of trash in under two hours. Now, this kind of collection happens up to three times a week.
ā€œAll of that would have ended up in the sea,ā€ Slat said.
Now, interceptors are being brought to 30 cities around the world, targeting waterways that bring the most trash into our oceans. GPS trackers also mimic the flow of the plastic to help strategically deploy the systems for the most impact.
ā€œWe can already stop up to one-third of all the plastic entering our oceans once these are deployed,ā€ Slat said.
And as soon as he finished his Talk on the TED stage, Slat was told that TED’s Audacious Project would be funding the deployment of Ocean Cleanup’s efforts in those 30 cities as part of the organization’s next cohort of grantees.Ā
While it is unclear how much support Ocean Cleanup will receive from the Audacious Project, Head of TED Chris Anderson told Slat: ā€œWe’re inspired. We’re determined in this community to raise the money you need to make that 30-city project happen.ā€
And Slat himself is determined to clean the oceans for good.
ā€œFor humanity to thrive, we need to be optimistic about the future,ā€ Slat said, closing out his Talk.
ā€œOnce the oceans are clean again, it can be this example of how, through hard work and ingenuity, we can solve the big problems of our time.ā€

Was going to do some oni file digging but got too distracted playing the actual video game. Anyways look at her <3
#rat rambles#oni posting#her icon does not do her justice she is so fucking cute#I fucking adore her#anyways ny thoughts on the new dlc are mostly positive so far although I do have some nitpicks#now to be clear to the fellow lore enjoyers in chat this is a fairly log light dlc unfortunately#which doesnt suprise me since god knows they don't like talking abt dupes too directly in the logs and this dlc is all abt the bionic dupes#which I see as a positive thing generally but I do wish there was a smidgen bit more to justify why they can be printed now#just an extra my log at the start that says woah I found some fancy robo guys in my printing database would have been nice#but other than that I do like the continuing tensions between gravitas and the vexus institute brewing#and I also like the pronoun confirmation on jackie's probably mom I'm glad we're seeing more of her#Im also glad theyve so far had jackie say jack shit abt her probably mom and her going ons I hope it mostly stays that way#I'm open to getting some of jackies words on the family drama but I want it to be shown not told#so like idk. maybe a conversation between them or smth. and keep it vague and up to interpretation#I like my jackie characterization hard to find and unpack#as for the actual gamplay stuff Im definitely enjoying the different playstyle of the bionic dupes a lot so far#I havent gotten far enough into my test run to rly know how they feel in long term colonies but they are quite fun so far#I like how they add some pretty strong early game benefits while also adding a pretty important early research racing#I also enjoy their oxygen tanks but I have noticed that they tend to chose weird and sometimes extremely inconvenient places to refill#I don't think I rly understand their logic for chosing spots yet but I thinkkkk they might be trying to chose somewhere away from general#living areas? I could be wrong though I have seen them recharge directly by cots before but maybe its based on the pod location idk#but yeah this is me screaming at ulti to stop recharging by a tiny spec of oxygen surrounded by slimelung infested polluted oxygen#so basically sending them out to germy or unbreathable environments is theoretically safe most of the time but it's not as safe as a suit#that combined with their adverse reactions to liquid and extreme temperatures does still leave need for athmosuits#which is a good thing to be clear#in theory this also means that oxygen masks can still be of use to a bionic dupe even if it isnt necessary#especially if theyre making large transit that risks them running out of oxygen and trying to refill inside an contaminated area#but yeah if I had one complaint abt the bionic dupes it would be that I wish there were a few more#I get not wanting to bloat the dupe count but you can and will see duplicates within the early game#there isn't a lot of variety with them which makes bionic dupe heavy colonies feel less appealing to me

Y'know given this commentary about "secretly being a Jedi" is very clearly about the whole her repeatedly flagging her own queerness for years on end it would be like if Tay 'lor Spiff kept referencing Jedi works in her music, using the same social cues that the rebellion use to signal to each other that they're part of the rebellion, uses the force onstage while hanging out with obi wan and Mace windu, publicly declared her allegiance to the rebellion, and wore Jedi/rebellion color scheme repeatedly, write several songs about the rebellion will win in the end and she's on their side, had a song making fun of the sith and empire on the setlist of her intergalactic tour, had Jedi friends who publicly hint that she's also a Jedi, and STILL all the people who know being out as a Jedi/Rebellion soldier isn't the safest thing in the world are going
"No clearly she's on the side of the empire and has never once been even a little force sensitive or even a little rebellious. All of those things are coincidences and you're all crazy conspiracy theorists for thinking it's even possible she's a Jedi."
"She's Jedi-baiting you!" Okay then you have to admit that her Jedi friends in the entertainment industry are complicity silent and at times actively participating in the Jedi-baiting, meaning the "real Jedi" you keep telling me to support are helping a sith hint at being a Jedi and hanging out with her like it's fine? That makes more sense to you than maybe she's just not as loud of a Jedi as you've grown used to? I remember when publicly calling yourself a Jedi could get you killed, it still can, we've made great progress in the rebellions acceptance in society but we have not overthrown the empire yet. Do you not remember how in Star wars some rebels were actively fighting out in the daylight as rebels and some were doing other things like gathering supplies, sending aid, political negotiations, corporate dealings? Some may have been force sensitive but never trained in the ways? Some may have become a Jedi but don't say that to everyone they meet?
in my head the star wars equivalent of tswift is some human woman named tay’lor spiff or something and her stans are losing their minds over theories that she’s secretly a jedi singing about the horrors of war, even though she’s from a neutral system that hasn’t seen so much as a moral panic in 50 years
#also comparing her jet usage#when shes nowhere near the worst offender#to owning STAR DESTROYERS?#star destroyers are more damaging than nukes the only ppl owning anything close are not pop stard#what if a company was dumping hundreds of gallons of toxic waste in the river but i decided the face of pollution should be the ferry boat#also like personal relationships within the empire? like obi wan wasnt dicking ventress down every chance he got?#padme had darth vaders children AFTER he had already committed one genocide#luke and leia are empire nepo babys#now im just having fun bc the use of the star war metaphor makes these arguments extra ridiculous#Jedi Celebrity Jona Than Vaness declares on their show that tay 'lor spiff lyrics go like ā€œi love balancing the force as a jediā€#which could mean nothing#did we learn nothing from the parable of the great Jedi master Jone Fett?#i dont know how much more you can declare#it becomes a trend to ask if girls are jedi by asking if she ā€œlistens to girl in redā€ and during the height of this trend she declared she#has the whole album on repeat#on jedi visibility day no less#also hilariously enough the schockball player has his own jedi rumors amongst his fans#his best friend literally showed up to the superbowl with the rose tabloids said the okay bought for spiff during the love holiday#C'al Vinharess makes a series of tweets about growing a padawan braid#sorry i keep adding tags its too fun to keep star warsifying how obvious it is to anyone pauing attention without blinders on#she keeps saying 'we' when talking about jedis and the rebellion#puts out a song she says is about her life that very clearly says shes a jedi but if you insert words that arent there and ignore basic#syntax then actually it says something else about dating siths#she mimics piloting a rebel ship while singing about being thick as thieves with rebel fighters#salutes a rebel leader as part of her stage choreography#says she loves putting messages in her clothing then wears a bunch of things that reference jedi culture

Genocide experts warn that India is about to genocide the Shompen people
Who are the Shompen?
The Shompen are an indigenous culture that lives in the Great Nicobar Island, which is nowadays owned by India. The Shompen and their ancestors are believed to have been living in this island for around 10,000 years. Like other tribes in the nearby islands, the Shompen are isolated from the rest of the world, as they chose to be left alone, with the exception of a few members who occasionally take part in exchanges with foreigners and go on quarantine before returning to their tribe. There are between 100 and 400 Shompen people, who are hunter-gatherers and nomadic agricultors and rely on their island's rainforest for survival.
Tumblr media
Why is there risk of genocide?
India has announced a huge construction mega-project that will completely change the Great Nicobar Island to turn it into "the Hong Kong of India".
Nowadays, the island has 8,500 inhabitants, and over 95% of its surface is made up of national parks, protected forests and tribal reserve areas. Much of the island is covered by the Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve, described by UNESCO as covering ā€œunique and threatened tropical evergreen forest ecosystems. It is home to very rich ecosystems, including 650 species of angiosperms, ferns, gymnosperms, and bryophytes, among others. In terms of fauna, there are over 1800 species, some of which are endemic to this area. It has one of the best-preserved tropical rain forests in the world.ā€
The Indian project aims to destroy this natural environment to create an international shipping terminal with the capacity to handle 14.2 million TEUs (unit of cargo capacity), an international airport that will handle a peak hour traffic of 4,000 passengers and that will be used as a joint civilian-military airport under the control of the Indian Navy, a gas and solar power plant, a military base, an industrial park, and townships aimed at bringing in tourism, including commercial, industrial and residential zones as well as other tourism-related activities.
This project means the destruction of the island's pristine rainforests, as it involves cutting down over 852,000 trees and endangers the local fauna such as leatherback turtles, saltwater crocodiles, Nicobar crab-eating macaque and migratory birds. The erosion resulting from deforestation will be huge in this highly-seismic area. Experts also warn about the effects that this project will have on local flora and fauna as a result of pollution from the terminal project, coastal surface runoff, ballasts from ships, physical collisions with ships, coastal construction, oil spills, etc.
The indigenous people are not only affected because their environment and food source will be destroyed. On top of this, the demographic change will be a catastrophe for them. After the creation of this project, the Great Nicobar Island -which now has 8,500 inhabitants- will receive a population of 650,000 settlers. Remember that the Shompen and Nicobarese people who live on this island are isolated, which means they do not have an immune system that can resist outsider illnesses. Academics believe they could die of disease if they come in contact with outsiders (think of the arrival of Europeans to the Americas after Christopher Columbus and the way that common European illnesses were lethal for indigenous Americans with no immunization against them).
And on top of all of this, the project might destroy the environment and the indigenous people just to turn out to be useless and sooner or later be abandoned. The naturalist Uday Mondal explains that ā€œafter all the destruction, the financial viability of the project remains questionable as all the construction material will have to be shipped to this remote island and it will have to compete with already well-established ports.ā€ However, this project is important to India because they want to use the island as a military and commercial post to stop China's expansion in the region, since the Nicobar islands are located on one of the world's busiest sea routes.
Last year, 70 former government officials and ambassadors wrote to the Indian president saying the project would ā€œvirtually destroy the unique ecology of this island and the habitat of vulnerable tribal groupsā€. India's response has been to say that the indigenous tribes will be relocated "if needed", but that doesn't solve the problem. As a spokesperson for human rights group Survival International said: ā€œThe Shompen are nomadic and have clearly defined territories. Four of their semi-permanent settlements are set to be directly devastated by the project, along with their southern hunting and foraging territories. The Shompen will undoubtedly try to move away from the area destroyed, but there will be little space for them to go. To avoid a genocide, this deadly mega-project must be scrapped.ā€
On 7 February 2024, 39 scholars from 13 countries published an open letter to the Indian president warning that ā€œIf the project goes ahead, even in a limited form, we believe it will be a death sentence for the Shompen, tantamount to the international crime of genocide.ā€
How to help
The NGO Survival International has launched this campaign:
From this site, you just need to add your name and email and you will send an email to India's Tribal Affairs Minister and to the companies currently vying to build the first stage of the project.
Share it with your friends and acquittances and on social media.

hi. um. guys?????? i shifted???????????
Tumblr media
its embarrassing. because i was literally in the toilet. and i thought to myself, ā€˜wouldn’t it be funny if i shifted right now?’. and i shifted. to my gamer//streamer//better reality. what the fuck .
(i know i made a post about how if i shifted i would never come back but…….. i have to share this. its the only reason why i shifted back here. next time i shift though? you guys are NOT hearing about it)
quick rundown : i was studying for my chemistry exam that will happen next week in this reality. i needed to use the bathroom. so i went. i started thinking about shifting because i was bored out of my mind. i said ā€˜fuck it let me try’, closed my eyes, and BOOM. i’m in a different bathroom. the bathroom i had scripted would be my bathroom in my small apartment. in my dr.
i freaked out a little bit because i am NOT nonchalant. i looked at myself in the mirror and I WAS SO BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLL i mean its my cr face but just improved to my liking BUT I WAS SO BEAUTIFULLL. and i said that aloud too, which freaked me out because my voice is a little different too (it was a bit smoother and soothing idk its my voice feels weird to describe it). my hair was tied up in a bun and i didn’t feel like letting it down, but my fringe was cut so nicely. it fit my face. and it wasn’t poking me in the eyes. i had some strands of hair that were also shorter that had fell out of the bun but it looked very pinterest-esque. very picture worthy. i looked picture worthy. the whole time i was like a movie character sat down at their vanity inspecting their face obsessively. if the mirror had a consciousness it would think i am deranged or something idk . moving onnnnnnn
my bathroom was so nicely decorated i was proud of myselffff. the colours????? the teal the magenta-ish purple the orange????? i had my chanel makeup products all over the sink counter too. it was so chic . guys i am so fucking cool . i feel great about myself now.
and you have to know. the apartment i scripted i owned has a wonderful view. its gorgeous. the galata tower AND the bosphorus?????? and it was a bright, cloudless day. a bit windy. the leaves on the trees were swaying and the sun was so bright it was making the bosphorus water twinkle . i opened the windows (which i didn’t even think about how) to let the breeze in. the air!!!! was clean!!!!!! no smell of petrol!!!!! air pollution is gone!!!!!! my lungs felt great sfkjhsekf IT WAS AMAZING
i didn’t spend much time there (in my dr) because i was a bit shell-shocked///flabbergasted///confuddled and like. i can shift back anytime and anywhere. i know that now, given the fact that i literally shifted… when i was in the toilet…. whilst doing my business.
but in the little time i spent there, i went into my bedroom (AGAIN, FLAWLESSLY DECORATED . I LOVE MYSELF) and just looked at everything. i had all of my perfumes on a silver platter on my bedside table. i had byredo’s mohave ghost. j’adore dior. nishane’s hundred silent ways. issey miyake’s l'eau d'issey (the blue one. i LOVE that one). orabella salted muse. twilly d’hermes. tom ford’s soleil neige. i had a sephora perfume section next to my bed at this point. i would’ve sprayed them all but i didn’t want to cause a sneezing hazard. i did spray soleil neige because i wanted to know if it would smell good on me. and it did, of course.
i had paintings hung up on the wall where my bed was situated. and the paintings were the art on my pinterest board. they were framed in fancy gold looking frames (they were painted gold. not actual gold). i had tears in my eyes,,,,,,, my bedroom was so gorgeous. it was great.
my bed?????????? silk bedsheets in light pink. i laid down on it for a minute. it was so so so soft. and so inviting i almost wanted to fall asleep but i resisted. i had a persian rug with purple-magenta, teal & dark blue and beige details it was so beautiful . it made my bare feet feel warm and the texture was smooth enough to not annoy me (i am sensitive about those things, i fear).
i had scripted that my closer is far bigger than it looks (barbie: dreamhouse style) and it was. i didn’t question the how. but it was a huge, gorgeous room, full of beautiful clothing. the lighting was not too dim but not too bright and so it didn’t hurt my eyes. and the CLOTHES AAAAAAAAA. zimmerman floral dresses. blumarine . archival miu miu. but also: rick owens. maison margiela (THE TABI COLLECTION I HAD. AAAAA). i had ann demeulemeester boots!!!! i had an archival dior dress (the black and lavender knit dress from fw1998). i had more than one archival dior dress. i had alexander mcqueen leather jackets. ugh it was so sexy . i felt the material, brushed my fingertips on all of those. i felt delirious. it seemed too good to be true, BUT IT WAS TRUE. it was REAL. moving on the closet was museum material . i was having the time of my life.
and then . i laid my eyes on the beautiful pc setup i had. and i couldn’t help it. i sat down and played some sims 4. i could use shaders!!!!!!! it was running smoothly!!!!!!! no glitches!!!!!!!!!!
basically: i spent an hour looking around my apartment and the rest was spent in create-a-sim on my computer. because i could literally shift realities and still be a sims girlie. it is embedded into my DNA.
i had the time of my life guys. i didn’t even look at my phone once. it was on my bed. but i didn’t want to look because i was too preoccupied crashing out about my pulitzer prize worthy closet and the view from my windows . but my computer had the date and it was may 6th 2022. which was the year i wanted to shift to. Dear merciful souls before everything I'm now writing to you and my kids are so hungry we don't know what to eat because everything running out and the cross borders were closed for three months so please read my story to the end šŸ„ŗšŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™
Hello, I am full of hope and hope that you will read my message with love and that you will enjoy abundant health and well-being.
I come to you with an appeal that is heavy on my heart and that I had never imagined.
I look at you from under the war and the constant bombing of us in all its forms that the human or animal soul cannot comprehend
I am Jehad Kassab , a lawyer and legal consultant from Gaza City - Palestine. I hold a bachelor’s degree in law and many legal experiences. I have been working in the legal profession for a long time and I had a good work , which have become meaningless before this world, to stop the machine of war and destruction that has befallen us ،I had a private law office after the Israeli planes completely destroyed it and everything in it, after I built it with all its beauty after many years of toil, and it is my only source of livelihood.

I have a beautiful family that loves life as you love it and lives it in all its details. My family consists of (my wife, a nurse, and my son Khaled, a year and a half old, who has not seen life in all its details and does not know what it is yet, and my second daughter is now 11 months her age as the age of this bad war.
Our house was completely destroyed at the beginning of the war on Gaza with everything, and we did not even take anything out of it, not even the clothes, in the hope that we would return to it before it was bombed by Israeli warplanes
We were briefly displaced to southern Gaza and stayed in tents until this moment. We lived and are still living the harshest types of genocide in the full sense of the word: displacement, destruction, coming out from under bombardment, pollution, epidemics, and the difficulty of sleeping due to the sound of planes and the bombing that did not leave for a single second. Has the world become desolate or are we not fit to improve? For life or what? We do not know Khaled who started pronouncing the word bombing, and I am afraid.
I am not begging you or listing all the details, because an entire newspaper will not be enough. Television screens and social networking sites are enough to tell you about us, and no matter how much you try to say, what we feel will not reach you because we do not wish anyone to live as we live.
We are victims of conflicts and conflicts. We love life as long as we can. We do not like any form of war. We want a future like the rest of humanity for ourselves and our children.
In this moment of despair, I reach out to you, not just as a stranger, but as a human being, connected by our common humanity and the belief that compassion knows no bounds. Your support, no matter how small, can make an immeasurable difference in the lives of those struggling to find hope amidst the rubble.
We desperately need your support to rebuild my family's life that was destroyed by the war on Gaza and there is literally nothing left ، provide us with a glimmer of hope for a better life after we were fine before October 7th last year. Your support could mean everything to us ، If you are unable to support, please consider sharing our case. Every bit of support helps.
We also evacuated many times and the two baby were sick alot because of the bad environment
and you know there's no hospitals or medicin or even healthy food
and the rest of the.money will be used for the living expenses
We appreciate your help, even if it is just a little
Thank you all
You can share or donate this ā€¼ļøšŸ™šŸ„ŗ

I think it’s interesting how they’re both Y7 but have completely diff views

Nobody asked but my thoughts about these are below + a clip from a wk episode about it
Octonauts’ setting is a double edged sword- because they give every organism a voice, they can make people empathize with bacteria, coral, and other things people forget to see as living beings. However, that also means they portray consumers/predators as the bad guys, even when they try not to have a bias. Which means for when the urchins had to be eaten, they couldn’t be portrayed as alive (or at least at the same level of consciousness as other animals).
For the record, I do think their setting of making every animal talk is good for helping others understand issues a species might face, especially for man-made causes like pollution and climate change which the show covers. it’s definitely something I think should be taught bc I still know a lot of people my age or older who end up mistreating animals simply because they don’t communicate in the same way we do.
On the flip side, Wk uses predator/prey relationships to show off the different abilities an animal has. I was honestly very surprised with how they handled the topic of death? For a couple animals, their life cycle is taught by following a particular individual of the species, from the start of their journey to the day they die. And even though they passed on, their offspring can continue the journey their parents started. I think that’s a good way to look at it imo. Every animal has a role, and even in death their life is not wasted. They even bring up the fact it can be dangerous to be a predator, since prey animals have developed a bunch of defense mechanisms, and losing to those could mean dying. I’m glad they cover death along with life, and they handle it well considering it’s a tricky subject esp for a younger audience. I think it can be summarized well in this clip from the king cobra episode
They also touch on it in the episode where kid musky is introduced (forgot the name but Chris basically goes on a monologue abt the human perspective on prey/predator relationships and how hard it can be to watch. I thought that was neat)
That being said: I do think sometimes the deaths are a little mean, and the fact they’re so comfortable with it after s1 sort of gives you a shock when you remember the rating. Like we JUST met and named the snake in the clip and then bro dies🫔 not to mention the life cycle episodes getting us attached to an animal for 22 minutes and then they die at the end. Juice’s death was even played for comedic effect (at least I think it was. It made me laugh. Maybe that’s just me LMAO)
TLDR: both methods are good for diff aspects of wildlife education but I think wk handles it in a better way esp when they consider the fact that humans are outsiders to it. Send post
