survived new employee orientation day 👍

#it honestly wasnt awful it was just soooo long and soooo much didnt apply to me #but anyways. what im treating as my real first day is tomorrow yayyyyy #im kinda surprised how not nervous for it i am if anything im pretty excited #the only thing im a bit apprehensive about is how anti social is my team gonna end up being 😭#the interviews i had with them did Not bode well on that front but we will see #0.txt #ngl the thing im most excited about is being part of such a huge university/medical network again without needing to be a student LOL #like idk. when i worked for companies it was very much you Work For the Company #but today honestly felt like being a student at an university again #now i just work for them lol #and theres a lot of shit going on that is completely unrelated to my job #maybe im being overly optimistic but the change feels really good right now #lets see if this will enable me to wrangle back a social life lads...

Once again an evening of 'this should have been a quick doctor appointment, but now you get to spend the evening in the ER with your grandparent!'

I mean. It's grandpa this time instead of grandma so at least there isnt constant insufferable bitching to deal with. But also I don't have my evening meds with me and it's fuckin shark week to boot. So yay.

#y am i posting this? bc its 2am and its 80+ degrees outside and probably around that temp in my apartment as well #im a healthy young person so im fine but like idk living thru this heat wave is genuinely quite scary #like in an existential way. like in a this does not bode well for our immediate future way #like i did not grow up in a place whwre the temp is 100+ consistantly but like its so hot #like the sun has like a physical weight even with low humidity. its oppressively hot #and i only live in an area where its 102-107F or 38.9C-41.7C #just. if ur in the southwest stay safe. if ur outside the southwest or another place currently experiencing a heat wave: its pretty awful #real life #heat wave #and id anyone tries to come at me on the science. i literally have 2 advanced degrees in environmental science. this is just one year but #its notable that its happening especially with record highs popping up across the globe. not just in the summer. it does not bode well

Yeah, no, I don't know jack or fuck about coding. All my knowledge basically just comes down to what I can make out by trying to read the game's script files

#I have been thinking of looking around for programming courses or something #i did take gcse computer science and while we were meant to learn python in those lessons uh #basically shit got fucked in every conceivable way so we didn't really get to do much coding #and also i was pretty bad at it when we did have those lessons which bodes well for the present me who wants to try picking it up again #tbf though i was 15 back then and I am now very close to being 22 so who knows maybe things will turn out better #man i sure am rambling in here

oh my god i have so many WEIRD self-projection tv show monkees headcanons that I feel like i’d get yelled at for having but like, it’s all about stuff that I’ve done or literally do and cannot help. sometimes i want to share them and then freak out about backlash but i feel like any backlash would just be from ableist people.
