I saw some posts saying that G Witch episode 12 was a big shock to a lot of people. And I tempered my expectations. I’ve been around the block with the Gundams before, I know more or less how dark/violent they get. Lot of body horror, swords and bombs and knives, and gruesomely bleeding out–and that was just Iron-Blooded Orphans!

So when the credits rolled, I thought to myself “Oh, that wasn’t that bad. A bunch of mostly faceless grunts died, some shocking reveals happened, and there was that big gun which was really cool.” You know, not too out of place in the Gundosphere.

AND THEN SULETTA SQUISHED THAT GUY! AND SMILED AS SHE WALKED THROUGH HIS BLOOD! HOLY FUCK HE HAD A LOT OF BLOOD.

Maybe the scene was exaggerated a bit, if assuming it was from Miorine’s perspective. BUT HOLY FUCK. WE CAN’T STATUS QUO THIS. If Suletta is that calm about that, there has been a fundamental shift in the relationships that cannot be reconciled without at least a season worth of buildup.

i saw someone with LA-type plastic surgery at the store yesterday and it was quite shocking. she definitely wasn’t botched, but it was very clear that she was… “molded”, i guess? i don’t want to be hateful, after all i don’t know this person at all but she just had such strange uncanny valley/plasticine/inorganic qualities. ive only ever seen pictures of people like that and was not prepared to see someone irl in the suburbs of richmond va lol

if there's one thing this last episode has affirmed for me about Alastor it's that he FUCKING HATES being reminded that he's not the most powerful creature in hell.

Like, he hates being ignored by Carmilla when she says she doesn't care why he was gone

He hates Lucifer ON SIGHT

He threatens to KILL Husk when he dares to mention that Alastor is working for someone more powerful than him

and now this.

Alastor freaking out because he almost died. Something almost killed him. He can fucking die. There is something more powerful than him out there. And it's not something he can ignore or brush off because it almost killed him.

Alastor hates the reminder that he's not as powerful as he tells people he is. He isn't indestructible, he isn't invincible. And he fucking hates that.
