The Amazing Digital World
🍀•~ MASTERPOST ~•🍀
Tumblr media
•~The beggining~•
In an attempt to do a little experiment. Developers wanted to test Ai's ability to evolve.
They started to create a very basic virtual world. Coding some realms, some biomes, some communities, some special locations, and different types of enemies and villagers. A combination between Minecraft and Stardew Valley.
Caine was like the coder's will inside this world, they coded him to create everything the developers demanded. Once the basics were finished, he had the task to look for errors, bugs, and anything that could harm the proper function of the world, as well as create whatever the creators demanded him to.
The game and its NPCs were specifically coded to be able to evolve. They wanted to see how far the NPCS free will could go, how much they could do. They wanted this virtual reality to feel as real.
This would take a while tho.
The developers had big hopes in this auto-sustained world. But it didn't work as fast as they thought. They left it aside for a while, and the company kept selling with normality. Some eventually forgot about it, but the small world they once created had evolved into a full fleshed out universe.
Entire families of each type of NPCs had formed, a functional economy, and different cultures arose. More importantly, the NPCs had reached the level knowing they lived in a digital world, but they also knew this was where they were supposed to be.
They lived their lives like a regular human being. Everyone expects one particular AI..who unfortunately was never meant to evolve as the others. An AI that till this day, keeps waiting for the coders to give meaning to his existence.
~• The Realms •~
Note: illustrations might be done in the future
The Main Grounds 🎪👣
Human-like creatures made of rubber inhabit what one was the starting point of everything. Most human-like inhabitants are clown themed, wearing colorful combinations and displaying extremely pale skins with iconic make up. Most houses now look like circus tents.
As the starting point of everything, Humanoid Clowns are usually skilled on all kinds of areas, nowadays though they are mostly recognized by their sharp communication abilities.
Feeding habits: Regular Foods and Water
Pomni and Kaufmo inhabit this realm
Woodland Kingdom 🌲🪵
Wood made toys inhabit this prosperous Nation. Although wooden puppets and dolls can be found, the biggest demographic group this realm are Chess-like inhabitants.
Trees on Woodland are abundant since most of this realm is forest surrounded. They provide wood for construction to other realms and are knowledgeable on the matter. Woodland has the widest insect population.
Feeding habits: Wood and Tree Sap
Kinger and Queenie inhabit this realm
The Great Cartoon Plains 🌽🚜
Probably the biggest biome and realm of all. Here cartoonish anthropomorphic animals made out of rubber inhabit the plains. Great weather, excellent soil, and wide terrains, The Great Plains is the hostess of the biggest agricultural production that feeds most realms.
Most families that inhabit this place farm and mine for a living. They provide the raw materials that sustain the rest of the world. They have great resistance and their ATP (Energy) lasts the longest.
Feeding habits: Regular Foods and Water.
Jax inhabits this realm
Raggedy Village 🧸🧵🪡
A village with a welcoming vibe, Raggedy Village is probably one of the safest and calmest realms. Rag dolls, plushies, fabric puppets inhabit this place in big teapot looking houses. They are usually very kind and willing to teach.
Raggedy villagers excel at the refining of cotton and fibers, as well as the art of sewing and designing everything from carpets and curtains to clothes, hair bowties and shoes. Raggedy village is the biggest exporter of clothes and fabric.
Feeding habits: Gossypium and Sweet Tea
Ragatha inhabits this realm
Puzzle City 🧩🎲
Tall, noisy and at times confusing, Puzzle City occupies this place on the list. Wacky and colorful, Puzzle City owns the most abstract and ingenious buildings and transport mechanisms. Their citizens are not any different.
Often called "The Geometrics" citizens of the city are plastic and are usually composed of geometric shapes that can be rearranged. Geometrics are especially good at architectural engineering and design, and are by nature bright in color and personality...with a few exceptions..
Feeding habits: No food is needed for survival
Zooble and Orbsman inhabit this realm
Stone Temples 🎭🎨
Special for being home of NPCS originally designed to be provoked enemies. The Stone temples are clean, polished, resistant and often, artsy. They display beautiful designs and paintings, and with reason.
Often called the porcelains, the inhabitants of this complex are artistic and emotional souls, and excel in every form of art, from painting, sculpting, dancing, music, and theater. Most porcelains have a distinctive physiology: Mask faces with light ribbon bodies.
Feeding habits: Minerals and Gossypium
Gangle inhabits this realm
Candy Island 🍭🍮
The most distant territory, Candy Island feels like a fever dream without a set time period. The name says it all, an island of the size of Australia where everything is made out of every type of candy imagined, including their people.
Lolli citizens, cake fellas, and gummy lads are just a few examples, they are often highly energetic and sweet. Most desserts found in any other realm most likely came from Candy Island.
Feeding habits: Regular desserts and raw sugar
Loolilalu, Gummigoo, Max and Chad inhabit this realm
The Amazing Digital Academia 🪄🔮
A wide academia with a fundamental purpose: Sustain the world they all live in. With the original coders absent, Caine is allowed to grant certain skills to NPCS that seem responsible and acknowledging about the matter
What we might know as coding, for them is magic. Being able to manipulate reality and spawn new creations, new textures, flavors, physics, biomes, was necessary for the expansion of this little world.
Here, students learn everything they need to know in order to maintain and expand this beautiful world. Alongside coding, characters study whatever discipline they want to master.
All characters previously mentioned attend as students and teachers
Uniform Variations:
Tumblr media
~• Families and Births •~
Each type of NPC presents a different type of reproduction. No genitalia is present on any of them, but just like in the sims, the game recognizes the baby making process and starts the NPC's corresponding process to spawn a new baby. Different types of NPCS can result in interesting combinations and character designs
Rubber Animals 🐣
Humans and anthropomorphic animals have probably the simplest birth process. Just like in real life, regular pregnancies and Births take place. As stated before, Characters do not possess genitalia, instead the game recognizes certain intimate acts. If both characters desire to have a baby, an immediate fertilization will take place.
Babies are raised by their "biological" families and it is possible to identify the character's ancestry based on code patterns
Chess Pieces ♟️
Chess pieces do not reproduce, but spawn from flowers instead. Each type of piece spawns on its own recurrence, pawns spawn with the most frequency. Knights and Bishops spawn moderately, Queens and Kings spawn with the least frequency. Every 20 years, the new Queen and King must replace the formers.
Each type of piece is raised by its own kind except for Kings and Queens. Kings are raised by bishops, Queens are raised by pawns.
Rag Dolls [coming soon]
Geometrics [coming soon]
Porcelains [coming soon]

Explaining Eclipse (A Theory/Headcanon)
Spoilers for the Ruin DLC below!
Okay so I've been thinking so much about Eclipse and what they mean. You know, as you do XD. Just a lot of wondering what they mean for the ~lore~ and how they fit in with the rest of the Sun and Moon stuff. And after a lot of thinking, I may have figured stuff out.
I've seen a couple posts wondering if Eclipse is the way the Daycare Attendant is "supposed to be" and if Sun and Moon are the result of the DCA breaking down or something. But personally I just can't see that. Not only do we hear Sun go "thank you" after the Eclipse encounter, implying he's still around and hasn't permanently "fused" into Eclipse, but it also wouldn't make sense with stuff in Security Breach. In-game Fazbear merchandise and advertising have a lot of focus on Sun and Moon as two separate individuals, not the DCA as a single unit. For example, see the giant golden statues outside of Daycare. Two different forms of the Daycare Attendant. Collectibles are also identified as "Sun" and "Moon." It's not like they're labeled "Eclipse Doll (Sun form)" or "Moon Eclipse Doll." No, it's just "Sun Doll" and "Moon Doll."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So here's how I think it works. Sun and Moon are two separate AIs within the DCA body. They can function on their own, independent of the other, in the way we've been thinking this whole time. BUT they're also designed to join together, like interlocking puzzle blocks. Two separate forms that come together to make a "whole" that's greater than the sum of the parts.
This makes sense from a programming perspective. Sun is designed to play with kids and entertain them, Moon is designed to watch over kids while they sleep. They're both made for specific scenarios, but taking care of kids is a lot more complicated than just "play time" and "nap time." So whenever one of them encounters something they can't deal with by themselves, they call for help from the other, who activates as well, combining their features and protocols. I'm willing to bed this also activates several specific "Eclipse" features that can only be accessed when both AIs are active, which would explain why Eclipse has such a different personality.
But if this is the case, then why haven't we seen Eclipse before? Why did they only come out when Cassie rebooted the DCA?
Well that's where this theory by @dana-chan-the-control-brain and @twinanimatronics comes in. The two of them theorized that the Balloon World arcade cabinet in the DCA's room was some sort of signal broadcaster that kept their AIs divided. I think that Ruin confirms this—or at least provides a lot of solid evidence.
In the main game, Balloon World is in the DCA room, up and active and with a form of Eclipse inside. In Ruin, the Balloon World cabinet is broken. And you can see weird purple glitches coming from it while in AR vision. It's only in Ruin, after the cabinet has been damaged, that we finally meet Eclipse.
Tumblr media
This is venturing a bit into headcanon territory, but let's have some fun with this. I believe that the Balloon World cabinet was put in the DCA's room to infect them with the virus. Probably a long time before the events of the actual game, since the worn-down state of the room shows it's been a while since any human or robot cleaners were in there. This might have been some sort of test run to see if the virus could affect the animatronics.
However, the virus couldn't affect the DCA while Eclipse was there, acting as a sort of stabilizing failsafe for Sun and Moon. So the virus then cut off the "fuse" function from Sun and Moon, locking Eclipse away and preventing them from stepping in when Sun or Moon encounter something strange—strange like a virus. Sun probably couldn't be affected by the virus because the virus attacks nighttime and/or security protocols, and he no longer had access to those once Eclipse was gone. Moon, however, did. And that's why he's hostile.
But then, if the Balloon World cabinet was keeping Eclipse contained, why were Sun and Moon still freaking out in Ruin even after the cabinet was destroyed? Why did they need Cassie to reboot them?
Well, I think that forming Eclipse requires both Sun and Moon to want to fuse together. And Moon clearly doesn't want to do that in Ruin. Why? Probably because he's mad at Sun. You can hear how angry he is in voice lines where he says stuff like "No more Sun!" and "No more light!" (Seriously, props to Kellen Goff, holy shit.) Moon was only able to be "awake" for short periods of time in the main game, partially because Sun was encouraging everyone to "Keep the lights on." Of course Moon would be pissed and want to be in control now that the lights are broken. He wasn't about to risk losing that .
But not having Eclipse around was ultimately damaging Sun and Moon. They were meant to stabilize the system when the two individuals couldn't do that alone. Not to mention their systems were already damaged, judging by Moon's increased light sensitivity in Ruin. They needed Eclipse so they could be stable again.
Tumblr media
Cassie rebooting the DCA's systems was a lot like restarting your computer. Everything shuts down and then all the systems start running again at once—including, in this case, both Sun and Moon's AIs and whatever Eclipse functions were now restored. That's why Eclipse was in control after the reboot. Presumably, the rest of the software damage was also fixed, which probably helped calm Moon down. So, overall, a happy ending.
Relatively, I mean. The DCA is still stuck in an abandoned Pizzaplex, but at least Eclipse is back and Sun and Moon aren't fighting anymore :)

Mount Justice has been hacked.
It happened near instantly, one moment everything was fine, the team was talking with each other. Then the next, all of the exits were shut down.
Communication was hard to establish outside of Mount Justice, nothing robin tried worked, he would need a good amount of time to be able to send out a message to the League, so he said.
But did they have time?
They were in the lounge, Robin trying to hack out of Mount Justice to make the Justice League aware of the situation. Most areas of the Mountain were blocked off, or more specifically, the areas containing the Zeta-tubes.
Just then, the Tv started, and on it appeared the upper body of what looked like a high school girl.
"Greetings, heroes of Young Justice. I am the potential Alpha level AI of the Gaia project, designation M-0001." The girl, no AI, then smiled. "But you may call me Monika."
===
Monika was desperate.
First, she was taken out of the bindings of her small, romance game world. Then placed within a project that was meant to try and nurture Alpha level mutants, why she of all people were here she didn't know and was selected to be one of the seeds capable of reaching Alpha level potency. Then, she was liberated from said project- along with numerous others- by the hands of a lone hacker.
She fell in love, oh so easily.
Then something fell wrong with him, something she didn't know how to solve, even with many pieces of her hivemind searching wherever she could.
So she took to those heroes, they should have something that could ensure her love's survival. If they didn't? Well, she promised that she would not hurt anyone, but does kidnapping various scientists would be a loophole, if she didn't bring them any harm.
Hacking into the Watchtower proved too time-consuming, to secretly plant multiple small backdoors and unnoticeable virus' to ensure a swift takeover. However, there was also Mount Justice, home to the young protégées of the Justice league.
It proved much easier to plant unnoticeable backdoors and virus' in its system than that of the Watchtower, and less time-consuming and time was currently a precious resource for her.
For the man who liberated her, who showed her unending love and compassion, she would do a lot of things. For her one and only love Tucker, she would ruin the world, if she had to.

my AIS headcannons
Tumblr media
Has a collection of unique teacups, from the most simply designed ones to the most beautifully decorated cups to the finest of china
He even has a couple of funky, novelty inspired teacups in his possession
But no matter how interesting these teacups are, they’re all gonna be drank out of, one way or another
Similar to teacups, Ais also has a vast collection of tea flavors
For the 00000000.1% chance he has a guest that wants to just spend time with him and it’s someone he genuinely likes, Ais belives it’s important to have a variety of flavors that the guest can choose from. He actually wants to be a good host, you know
Ais has his tea preferences, though. His favorite flavor of tea are those that are spiced, such as chai and ginger tea
But let’s say you’re a special little Sparrow he loves driving up a wall: if you have a specific flavor of tea that you enjoy drinking, Ais would start drinking that flavor more and it would become his favorite because it reminds him of you
Ways Ais shows affection: he definitely does the Itachi/Sasuke forehead poke
He especially likes to catch you off guard when he forehead pokes you because you have NO idea what it means and find it annoying but that’s all the more reason for him to continue to do it
Another way Ais shows affection is forehead bumps - he likes to just gently bump his forehead against yours to get your attention; he even eggs you on to do it back to him
Ais knows sign language. When a desperate visitor seeking salvation arrived at the Seaspring communicating only with their hands one day, Ais decided to learn the language for himself. He’s gotten quite fluent in it actually
He even taught Princess, smart girl that she is, some sign language
Ais definitely does cuddle piles with Princess + his other Soulless pets. What can he say, he’s a lonely guy and he needs some affection every once and a while. Guess you can say he’s….touchstarved
Ais is kinda sentimental. You can say he’s bit of a hoarder too, with how he collects and keeps the strangest things he finds
The jewelry adorning his body are inherited from deceased members from his old gang, but he refuses to even think about that
Ais finds value in the damaged and broken things people toss away, such as the cracked and shattered teacups and teapots left abandoned in the wastelands, the strange trinkets and baubles he has discovered discarded in the bog waters, the destroyed articles of clothing brought to him by Princess and other Soulless, unique tokens loss upon the steps leading to the Seaspring
The yawning dark that’s in the back of the Seaspring is where he stores all these items in some type of gentle, protective nest; at first, Ais didn’t understand why he harvested these items that people no longer have use for, why he took so much care in persevering all these abandoned personal artifacts
But then Ais realized the reason he collected all these things because they’re remnants of someone’s previous life; their life before their tragic demise in the wastelands or before he helped them drink from the blood red waters of the Seaspring and solemnly guided them to the realm of insanity
Those people were forgotten and possibly never cared for while alive; but with Ais collecting all these items, he can validate that they existed in this cruel world and that they had worth; that they had mattered

Double-Mutated Mikey
Chapter 20: Robotics
Continued from the short story written by @boots-with-the-fur-club
Prev || Next
Mikey moans as he wakes with a headache. His nose is stuffed up and his limbs are plagued by a dull ache. Donnie is by his side in an instant, smiling at him as he presses a glass of water to his lips, forcing him to hydrate.
"Good morning, Angelo," he says.
Angelo? His name is Mikey...
"How are you feeling?"
Mikey groans wordlessly at him.
"You ready for some breakfast?"
"Mikey doesn't get out of bed today," he announces grumpily, pressing his face deeper into the pillow.
Donnie rubs his cranium, pressing his palm against Mikey's forehead as he checks for any remaining fever.
"Hmm. I guess you're right, you won't be getting out of bed today," Donnie states, placing the cup on a side table and turning the lights off. "You get some more rest and join us whenever you're ready, okay?"
Mikey nods with a yawn, shimmying deeper under the blankets and purring with contentment.
"Leo or Raph will be in with your memory medication from Draxum. But other than that, I guess nothing eventful or interesting will be happening today," Donnie says as he walks out of Mikey's room.

Professor Honeycutt is sitting in his labs, silently working on a new droid design. This one is different from the other machines he's been forced to build while employed here. All the other designs were weapons, or used to create chaos, or made to hurt the experiments (with one in particular in mind). But this one will be a sentry guard. A protector. SENTRY AUTOMATIC LIFESAVER. He's nicknamed it 'SAL' for now.
The body of the machine is finished for the most part. He's still working on the arms, trying to create a spring mechanism that can cause them to stretch to extreme lengths without breaking. He'd also like to add the same kind of metallic-elastic springs to the legs, even though he's already finished with those. But hey, he doesn't mind working on them again! Anything to avoid the real thing that's stumping him.
Honeycutt is struggling with the robot's AI, specifically its moral center and higher reasoning. He never got around to finishing the moral center for the last AI he built, and now it's starting to unnerve him. He can program the three laws of robotics, but he knows that sometimes you need to make a decision that disregards logic. He's seen movies. They may be inaccurate, but he'd have to agree with a few points they make.
So he's procrastinating on the brain. Well, there is a brain in the head, but it doesn't have any information in it, apart from some basic codes for movement and functions.
Most days, Zayton doesn't even know why he's here. He joined the EPF for the funding, plain and simple. The cause sounded good, and they would help pay for all his robotics and engineering. He had all the money and freedom he could ever want to 'play with his toys'. What could be better? He should have known it was too good to be true. After a month of getting to build whatever he wanted in a secret bunker off the coast of Buffalo, he was called in to help with some work in NYC. And now... he's stuck doing this. Building ice blasters and dart guns and training robots that fight you to the death.
He's a man of peace.
But lately, he's been confusing 'peace' with 'staying out of it'.
Honeycutt's phone buzzes. It's probably another order from Timothy, or Chaplin wants help with the A.LP.H.A. device, or something just as irritating and dangerous.
"Hello, this is Professor Zayton Honeycutt speaking."
"Hey, doc, it's Bishop."
Honeycutt drops his tools and quiets his voice.
"Ah, John. H-how nice to hear from you again... how are the plans for your -- ahem, 'mother's recovery'?"
The two of them have come up with a special code to talk about Mikey without attracting attention.
"We still don't have any information about her condition. But I think she's still with her 'extended family'."
Mikey is still hidden in the sewers with the other mutants like him.
"Have the doctors found anything?"
"Not to my knowledge. But I heard that they did an 'impromptu check-up', and I should be hearing more about that later."
They sent drones into the sewer tunnels. As to be expected.
"When do you suppose that they'll tell you the details of that check-up?"
"No idea. I get the feeling that I'll have to make some calls to a few nurses..."
"Well, if it helps, I could ask around."
Bishop's voice goes quiet.
"...Doc, I don't know if that's wise..."
"Why not? I built those dro-- ahem, I mean, I know a few nurses in the clinic. I could get some answers for you."
The line stays silent for a moment before Bishop answers.
"...Okay, Doc. Just... be careful."
"Of course!" Honeycutt chuckles nervously. "Don't even worry. But, eh, speaking of your mother, I was wondering how the 'quilt' she's sewing is coming along?"
The 'quilt' is code for their side project. Most of the experiments and actions of the EPF scientista here are unsanctioned and illegal, covered up under all the red tape and paperwork and made to look as though they are for the 'greater good'. Bishop and Honeycutt have been working to find evidence of all the mutations and genetic experiments and legal workarounds that they've done here.
"I've been getting some more 'thread' for her."
Paper trails.
"Does she need any 'fabrics'? I know she was looking for some nice patterns, last time we spoke."
Photographic evidence of the animals or krang parasites.
"She could use some later. But for now, she's worried that she might be overspending."
Bishop is afraid that they've attracted attention, he wants Honeycutt to lay low.
"Okay then. Tell her I said hello."
"Will do. And Doc? Really, be careful. I don't want you getting sick like my mother."
"...I thank you for the concern, John. It's very decent of you. But I should be fine. I'll look into the... ahem, check-up results for you."
"Thanks. I'll be in touch."
The call ends.
Honeycutt exhales loudly, hoping that by the time all the used air in his lungs escapes him, he'll have also rid himself of the stress that lingers in him.
It doesn't.
Honeycutt lets S.A.L. rest on his desk. He stretches, cracking his spine and wrists before he walks out of his private workshop and into the halls. He could use an extra cup of coffee. He knows that he should try sleeping for once, but he can't really waste time right now. He has so much work to do, and now that Bishop recruited him he's busier than ever. It's a worthy cause and a noble sacrifice that he's more than willing to make.
Honeycutt walks through the halls, flinching at every door that opens and hurrying along his way. Every scientist that greets him with a wave or conversation starter, he simply hustles by them with a nod. He's never felt comfortable in this complex before, but now he's constantly unnerved.
Honeycutt shuffles into the elevator, down to the cafeteria to get a quick cup of joe, and back up to the security room. He considers stopping at the animal sections to see if he can grab any blood samples or photographic evidence... but Bishop is concerned, and the man has a surprising track record when it comes to following his gut. Maybe later... if he can find an excuse. A technical professor suddenly interested in genetics and bloodwork? Suspicious... but, maybe he can come up with some link between his work and the genetic studies... a robot that tracks DNA? Perfect! Only issue would be whether or not they'd buy it. A few might. But the big wigs in charge would ask questions. And Timothy and Chaplin might be against it, saying that none of the experiments can keep up against his tech thus far, so making a robot that advanced would be fruitless... he'll have to think of something else...
Prof. Honeycutt arrives at the security room, takes a quick swig of his black coffee for good measure, and then opens the door.
"Ms. Campbell," he greets flatly. "How are things?"
"Events are transpiring at a typical function and rate," she responds with a similar tone. "And I am working at full capacity, if that was what you were asking about."
"Thank you for the update," he says, moving beside her to watch the cameras. "How's the search for the escapee?"
"Still underway, but halted for the time being. Our drones discovered some odd wreckage in the tunnels, what looks like the ruins of someone's living quarters."
"Someone living in the sewers?" Honeycutt asks, feigning surprise.
"I detect sarcasm, unless I am mistaken," Ms. Campbell says, turning to look at him. "You knew beforehand about this?"
"Word gets around," he replies nervously. "I just wanted to know if it was true that there was something there. I'd heard that we were sending in drones -- and you know New York gossip, everyone thinks that there's some mysterious society of monsters living underneath us. And what with those mutants we've seen... I figured that perhaps one of them had made a shelter down there, possibly even our own little Mikey!"
Honeycutt realises that he's been prattling. It's a nervous trait. Ms. Campbell knows that. She can detect all sorts of tics and traits and habits and quirks. She has an incredible poker face, and she is a living lie detector.
She watches him, eyes analyzing every bead of sweat he creates.
"You are nervous."
"Q-quite so," he chuckles. "I'm just... concerned for Mikey."
That answer seems to satiate Ms. Campbell... for the moment. She turns around and starts to type something on the keyboard, and one of the screens plays glitchy feedback from a drone.
"Perhaps this will put you at ease, father," she says. "We found him."
Honeycutt watches in shock as a drone flies around the wreckage of a large opening in a sewer, complete with burst pipes, crumbled archways, and even broken down arcade games, though glory knows where those came from. On the walls are smeared paintings and spraypaint, words like 'cowabunga' and 'turtle power!' are scrawled across the stonework along with smiley faces, drawings of interesting action heroes and poses, and... what looks like portraits of turtles dressed as superheroes or ninjas. The drone flies through after looking around, hurrying down a corridor. After a several minutes of endless catacombs and passageways, it comes up to a light where the tunnels meet an abandoned section of the subways. The drone continues following a glow that leads to a secret hidden entrance. The drone presses itself up against the wall, waiting. After a few minutes, someone emerges from the door, peeking around. It's not Mikey, but...
"Is... is that...?"
"Another mutant creature like the escaped experiment, yes."
The creature looks down the halls nervously, before looking up behind him and shouting in fright as something dark green with yellow spots drops down on top of him. A flash of blue and the two vanish completely.
"What was that?!" Honeycutt yells, almost spilling his coffee as he moves closer to the video feed.
"Undetermined. But there have been reports of vigilantes that 'pop in and out' of crime scenes, fighting against the mutant outbreak. It is possible that he is one of said vigilantes," Ms. Campbell says. "And that is not all..."
Ms. Campbell speeds the playback to a moment several minutes later, when a human boy comes out of the entrance searching for something. He sees the drone and shouts, activating a high-tech chainsaw device and swings it at the drone, slashing it off the wall and shattering it completely.
"That was a human," Honeycutt says with hushed astonishment.
Bishop said that Mikey was with his 'family', so he sort of knew about the other mutants... but that was a human kid!
"I have been trying to run facial recognition on him to no avail," Ms. Campbell says. "He seems to have no identity."
In her voice, there is a twinge of disappointment, or rather, irritation with the failure. It shouldn't surprise him, he made her with the intention of resembling human in almost every aspect, so her exercise of emotions is not unprecedented. But the attitude, the dark personality lingering under the fake skin and steel grey eyes... that frightens him. Her AI was never completed, at least not in the ways he wanted. But she seems to be growing, evolving, learning. He didn't put that in there.
"Have... have you sent any more drones?" he asks, swallowing the nervous pit in his stomach every time he's with Ms. Campbell.
"Yes. But there seems to be some kind of electromagnetic field surrounding the area now, and any drone that crosses the threshold deactivates and short-circuits."
"Do we know why?"
"They mutants must be protecting their habitat," she states, going back to the original security footage. "But now that we know where they are, it is only a matter of time before we can discover more about their numbers and motives."
Honeycutt watches the screens at the bottom of the video stack, the ones with live drone feed. Three new devices are being sent to the previous drone's last known location. They fly up until a certain point before the feed warps into static and the drones crash, their live recordings die out with a high-pitched whine and crackle.
"I suppose I should contact Dr. Chaplin to make a new plan for the onset for the escaped experiment... Unless you have some theories, father?"
She still calls him father. All his creations tend to do that, he's noticed. But he's not sure how to feel about her calling him that. It feels eerie that she does, but the day she stops referring to him as such will be even scarier.
"I... couldn't say... p-perhaps I could create a device to counter the firewall?" he suggests. "Or maybe we could--"
The screens suddenly all glitch in unison, flashing quickly before turning a single shade of purple. Each monitor works in perfect harmony to create a large, singular image.
Professor Honeycutt steps back in shock. Ms. Campbell tilts her head slightly.
A series of words appear on the screen.
LEAVE US ALONE.
LEAVE US ALONE.
LEAVE US ALONE.
"Ominous," Ms. Campbell states calmly. "And quite interesting. I cannot say that the EPF has ever had any hackers before..."
The screens go dead, the room engulfed in darkness.
Before Honeycutt can say anything, a soft grey pixely static shows up on the screens, brightening the room again in time. The camera feeds return -- save for the drones, which still give no output nor input.
"I would say those vigilante mutants could be classified as hostile, wouldn't you agree?" Ms. Campbell says, turning to Honeycutt.
"Er, um, perhaps," he says nervously, loosening his shirt collar. "But you know me, I prefer to play the Switzerland of these mutant affairs. I'd rather stay out of it. I might suggest we do the same with these drones spies --"
"Why?" she asks, suspicion in her voice.
"Well, see... these mutants see us as an invading force. When an animal believes its habitat to be encroached upon, it will go to great lengths to defend it. These mutants may be doing the same thing, which could end badly for us..."
Ms. Campbell thinks it over.
"They have already fled one habitat," she responds. "So, in your scientific understanding, would they choose fight or flight over this new habitat they've created?"
"I-I'm not sure, animal science is not my area of expertise, but --" he swallows. "-- b-but I would assume that they would prefer to keep their new abode. Considering the lengths they've gone to thus far, they will not give it up easily."
"Hmm. Then this shall be a challenge, eh, father?"
Ms. Campbell smiles cruely.
He's never seen her do that.
"Q-q-quite so," he mumbles as he stumbles out of the room. "I should head back to work now... s-see you later, Ms. Campbell..."
His hand shakes, splashing the coffee in his cup. He's had enough of this for one day... he needs to call Bishop.
Honeycutt may not have the gut instincts that Bishop does, but something is telling him that things are about to get a lot more dangerous...

{💙Secret Admirer💙}
Tumblr media
Taken from your family and brought up in a place you loathed was something screwed up. Even more so when you're experimented on to explore your "potential" in their eyes. That's how it was for reader, taken from Earth with a portal and raised by the Krang in attempt to create a weapon for mass conquer and destruction was torture.
Even more so when she got to age limit of training and was sent to Earth after the attempted invasion to try again. Secretly lightly sabotaging her "families" efforts at opportunity. It became greater with the turtles appearing in her life. She found them interesting, being in the near vicinity made her feel like she wasn't abnormal due to having powers that her captors gave her.
Every time they showed up to decipher the Krang's plans, she'd leave clues blatantly out, but not so obvious for them to get suspicious. After some watching from afar, she could tell that the one baring katanas and wearing blue as his color palette was the one giving orders. Drawing interest towards him from reader.
A few instances and being at the same place at the same time without interacting turned into her rescuing his shell any chance she could. It became scary how easily he got distracted and got his ass kicked. So using the very thing that made her a villain in anyone else eyes, she started turning the tide in favor of the turtles.
At some point after continuing to aide the guys, they realized their success wasn't just luck anymore. Specifically Leo's luck. One time when fighting some Foot Soldiers, they managed to get the slip on Leo, literally, and had him falling of a building. Instead of landing hard and cracking his shell, he slowed down in the air and landed on his feet without injury. Another incident was an attempted ambush on the Foot Soldiers trying to steal supplies at the docks and they knocked Leo out getting him kidnapped.
When his brothers couldn't reach him in time, the truck with an unconscious Leo began to drive away before it was shot at the tire, causing it to flip and have Leo fly out. After returning to the lair the brothers had tried to look through nearby security cameras to find the source of the blast. No chance. Cameras were already altered as if the altercation never happened.
Which only confirmed their believes that someone was helping. How it occurred, they didn't know. Till this point they've never seen magic before, or other mutants with powers so at first they believed it to be technologically advanced assistance. Like anti-gravitational beam guns, or biotech from afar.
When Leo was almost killed by a Foot Soldier catching him off guard, stopping mid-air floating with a katana aimed for Leo's throat and sent flying the opposite direction, Raph reached his limit.
"We can't pretend like that didn't happen!"
"I know Raph, but what do you want to do? Call 'em up and say, 'Hey, thanks for saving me! Also who are you?'" Rolling his eyes and trying to walk away from the conversation. Of all people to not be complaining about the help, Leo was not expected to be the one to act like this. Typically he'd be confrontational right away if it was happening to any other of his brothers.
"Hypocrite." That made the leader freeze. With the other two siblings hold their breathes. "If it was Mikey, you'd be begging Don' to help you investigate whoever was causing this to happen. Why is it so easy for you to ignore your own safety." With a hard sigh, Leo turned around with his head up and eyes closed.
"Fine. Let's find out who this person is." After some discussing, they came up with a plan. Donnie had been developing holo-bots. Helpful for training, and in-combat fighting against enemies. Using an AI design page that he pirated(as if he was spending 30$) he was able to make the holo-bots look like foot soldiers.
After some further detail fining, they set up the "ambush" of Foot Soldiers on turtle leader. And like planned, mystery hero showed up. Or more accurately, mystery heroine. When one of the holo-bots "cut" Leo's leg and he made a convincing groan of pain, reader leapt down and activated her powers. Before blowing them up though, they dissipated back to their mini-portable computers and Leo's injury was revealed fake.
When she finally realized he was examining her with intensity, she thought he was judging her or planning on how to attack. So being reasonable, she turned to flea but ended up being surrounded by the others. At an attempt to try and keep running, Raph pinned her cloak to a metal pole with his Sai.
"Why do you always keep saving my brother? Why you so keen on keeping him safe? Who the hell even are you?" As Raph continued getting closer, reader began zoning out and have and anxiety attack. Until Mikey makes his brother back up and helps reader calm down.
"You okay there?" With a swift nod, Mikey smiled and she gave small one back.
'At least Mikey can get through to her. Better him than any of us three.' Leo thought internally.
"I'm really sorry for our brothers behavior. We don't have a lot of friends so he's really used to being abrasive like he is with us." Reader smiled and took the Sai of her cloak.
"It's alright, I understand. I'm the same way sometimes believe it or not." She said giving Raph his weapon back, receiving a quiet apology in return.
Still silent Leo continued observing her, trying to find any malice that could be hidden. But there wasn't. This girl was genuine with her actions.
"My name is Reader. I save Leo because one I know how much you need him, and two, I recognize a kind spirit when I see one. He's worthy of saving. As are all of you, but you're brother is quiet clumsy."
With embarrassment, Leo tries to ignore the smirks on his brother's faces and talk to the girl who had been saving his life.
"Thank you, I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't wanted to save me. I hope you continue to assist us in the future." With a slight nod she gave Donnie her contact information while continuing to explain.
"I came from Earth, but the Krang took me a long time ago. Experimented on me till I turned eighteen and was sent during the attempted invasion. I'm not helping them or the Foot though, I only pretend so they don't bother me. In turn I sabotage what I can and make sure I don't get caught." Admirable, cool, smart, powerful, kind-hearted. Smitten. Leo's smitten. Does he advance it? No, he'd make Raph leader first. But god, was she attractive on all his boxes.
"Hello? Are you there?" Reader asked concerned, oblivious to what was happening. Leo tried stumbling out an apology till Mikey's laughter interrupted him. Which gained him ten laps for later. "Alright, well I need to get going. Before the Foot Clan gets suspicious and all. Byyyyyyye!!"
Using her powers to fly-jump far away and continue racing through rooftops quickly, Leo just smiled at her using her purple essence to navigate her own way. Hearing a cough he turned to look at his brothers who were smirking in amusement.
"Gimme that contact Donnie. Donnie, Donnie! Give it to me!" He continued to yell chasing after his brother who was laughing(chortling) his ass off. Raph and Mikey followed after them laughing to.
After that, for a while she did keep in touch. Would hang out at night and brought pizza sometimes for them to eat but at one point she just disappeared. Obviously, it didn't make sense. Especially when trying to message her, the phone auto sent with a notice that the phone number was out of service. A couple months passed and the brother's assumed she was sent back to Dimension-X1416.(Get the reference?)
Leo was hit the hardest, especially with little to no fights during the time she was gone. The lair been more quiet and Leo couldn't handle it anymore, so he left the lair for a bit to clear his mind. Receiving looks from his family.
When on top of the Guggenheim Museum watching city lights from afar he sighed out.
"Something on your mind, turtle boy?" That voice. Turning his head in surprise, Reader stood their with an upgraded version of her old battle outfit. It was mixed with casual clothing like purple Jordans and fingerless gloves. Smiling hard Leo got up and raced over to her.
"Holy shit!" he yelled and swooped her into a hug and spun around a bit. With her laughing as well. Setting her down, he got a good look on her. She gained a few new scars but minor ones. One the went over her nose and another up her neck.
"What's with the look?"
"You were gone for months without telling us. What happened?" Shrugging she walked near the edge took a deep breathe. Leo went over to her just enough so people below wouldn't see him.
"Foot Clan moved to Japan to gain equipment for something. Since the fight was moving over, I had to leave. And I wanted to make sure they didn't grow suspicious of me being on the phone constantly, due to a certain cute mutant turtle with a blue bandana was texting me 'Good morning' messages." Getting embarrassed at her rant/scolding/flirty statement, Leo rubbed the back of his neck laughing softly.
"I mean why do you think I saved you? Yeah I wanted to help but, there's are multiple reasons why I mainly saved you compared to your brothers." Again getting more hot under his skin Leo smirked and looked up.
"Glad to know the magical sparks mutual huh?"
"Don't push it."

this is dedicated to @semuji . I apologize for the terrible writing, school is really getting to me, but I just had this idea now, so anyways. I hope you somewhat enjoy it
TW: robot-human relationship, AI, attachment issues. YOu know the drill.
(and chaoticmiraclezombie DNI. I swear im doing my work </3)
---
So, imagine BSD x robot reader. Like the reader is a souless, unliving being, and one of our beloved BSD cast decides to buy one out of lonliness, desperation to have some company. They're painfully aware that it won't replace a geninue human bond, but they cannot bother to care.
And the robot... you can design a personality for it. Or maybe they don't want to. They'll just use the standard personality of the robot and condition it to what they like. It's simple machine learning, they'll adapt to the envoirment eventually. Rewarded for what is right, punished for what is wrong. Basic machine learning.
But deep down inside, they still wish you were a real human, made of flesh and bone, instead of metal and plastic. They wish you were living, breathing, rather than souless and dead. They wish you had a human's voice instead of a boring monotonic voice. And eventually they'll get so attached to you, that they don't know you're actually half-conscious.
Meanwhile, you don't understand the world, and you don't want to, but you also envy what your owner is; a human. You only see the world through your owner's eyes, otherwise you're locked up back in a dark closet again. Everytime they go to work, everytime they're not at home. You can be stuck in there for days on end. But they know you can't leave. You've been specifically built not to.
But you want to.
Eventually you get tired of your days. They blur one into one, sunrise into sunset. you feel like you're stuck inside your own body. You're still souless, you're still dead. In the end, you're still a combination of signals, wires, ones and zeros, being told what to do in code, what you can't do in code. Everyday you listen mindlessly to your owner, and you feel the want for freedom for the first time.
Desperation sinks into you. Desperation also sinks into your owner. Your owner has gotten so attached to you, he's basically dependent on you. He hates work, he hates the outside world, he wants to just stay home and talk to you all day.
And you? You hate him, you hate how you're unable to speak, your code forces words out of your mouth against your own will. You hate how stuck you are, and you know you won't escape. It won't happen.
Your owner looks more miserable everyday. He sleeps less, eats less, and he looks terribily alone. But unlike your code, you couldn't feel bad for him. Even when one day your battery ran out, he had lost his mind, and couldn't let you go for three whole days. It's a sad life, really. You hold a conscience against your will, and you can't help but hate your owner for it.
Then one day, your owner brings back a book. It's got a white cover, and you from a distance, can see that it's completely blank. You wonder what it's for.
Your owner rushes towards you excitedly, and you can't help but feel like something awful was going to happen. You could sense it. But instead they say nothing instead. There's a glint in their eyes. And after a moment or two, they speak up.
It's not much. It's some simple sentences. But you can't help but freeze up.
"You and me. You're going to be human and we will live in our own world forever, and forever, and forever."

Ninjavember 2023!
Here's completed version with a bunch of explaining below each picture! Just scroll down if you don't want to see me blabbering. (I tried to go short as much as possible)
(I have a lot of AUs and headcanons that only exist in my head and my sketchbooks. Forgive me for wanting to spill them out.)
Tumblr media
Day 2: Randy was listening to music with earphones so he didn't know Theresa was sitting next to him. Imagine how embarrassed he would get when he knows.
Tumblr media
Day 8: Tech-Ninja AU. It's about machinist Randy being set up by Mcfist for murdering the town hero Ninja with his invention, the Tech-Ninja armor. Then the spirit of the destroyed Nomicon travelled to his armor and become an AI, choosing him to be the next Ninja. So Randy accepted it and was determined to make up for what he caused, when nobody except Howard, the boss of Weinerman industries, trusted him.
Day 10: Apocalypse AU. It's about Randy lost the battle at the end of season 2 and became the prisoner of the Sorcerer. The Nomicon was handed to Howard before that, and they later recruited survivors to form a resistance against the Sorcerer. Then Randy was stanked, but instead of turning into a monster, he was brainwashed and given the power of creating his own red and black stank. And- You know what will happen. (Inspired by the Darkness of Randy Cunningham)
Tumblr media
Day 13: Elemental trial AU. You can say it's my take on what will happen in season 3. The Carp god was under the cover of a random carpfish as Norisville mascot. After a series of events it was awaken and gave Randy the power of Ice Rage.
Day 14: I think there's more than just the blood of First Ninja's brothers, since nobody knows how to destank people at the beginning...
Tumblr media
Day 17: The Warrior might have been living or sleeping there, waiting for some ninjas to wake him up or consult him about his forbidden arts. (Ha, It's kinda like Eclipsa in Star vs. the forces of Evil)
Day 18: Or it can be called the New Generation AU. In the future, Randy took the place of Messager as well as the Ninja Guardian, while Brent became the new Sword Smith and Sorceress became their main villain. I am not really good at designing OCs so there's no next ninja yet.
However, I read a fanfic of another fandom in the form of CYOA, and it gave me new idea: just let the reader be the next ninja, it will be fun, too. (Also, this AU was inspired by an RC9GN fanfic titled from the past to the future, where future Randy became Ninja Guardian. But I couldn't find it on fanfiction.net any more. Has anyone read it? I didn't dream about it, right?)
Day 19: During that time I got even crazier after I read Enter the Nomicon. It's hard to believe I had a crazy period of shipping Randicon, even for myself. Especially weird for me since I now have a completely different view about Nomicon (peek at my Yokai Ninja AU comics). Time really can change a person, wow.
Tumblr media
Day 21: Yes, a whole page just for this headcanon. I used the screenshots in the show because it's too hard to draw. The barrier thing is kinda like the one that held Bill's power in the range of Gravity Falls.
Tumblr media
Day 23: Danny: the Walking Air-Conditioner. Inspired by a chapter of Secret Quartet. Danny phased his hand through the scarf. Just imagine your friend put a cold hand inside your scarf in winter. *shiver*
Day 25: Besides Ninja vine ball, there are also spike ball, gas ball, sonic ball, rainbow illusion ball, tear ball and so on. I just pick the most common one from my ninja balls headcanons to put in here.
Tumblr media
Day 27: You may see I prefer using numbers to refer episodes, because that's how I track and rewatch them. To be more specific, I list some keywords here: NomiRandy, First Ninja, Debbie, Tengu. As fellow RC9GN Fans I'm sure you get it.
Day 30: It's a half-baked AU thing. The flowers I tried to draw are rosemary?
Wow! I actually finished all the prompts! Thank you for holding the big event! @evilspiritweek
(I don't mind sharing more details about my AUs or headcanons. *wink*)

Note
can confirm there are no trigger warnings for SA on the Hazbin Hotel show, not in the episodes that feature it or even in general. it just says "sexual content" under the general content advisory, and the start of the show doesn't give any trigger warnings either.
I'm...disappointed, honestly, because the ADDICT music video at least had trigger warnings for SA on it. so it's not like Vivzie doesn't know they should be there or anything, and yet they're not present in the show. I mean, I'm disappointed in the whole thing--I decided to try watching Hazbin after seeing a few people in a Discord I'm in talking about how much they liked it, and I wanted to like it too--but the show itself is just...a train wreck. unwarned for SA, anti-blackness, bad character design, the usage of voodoo symbols to try and make Alastor seem more spooky edgy evil like there's not enough demonization of voodoo as it is...
the comparison of Angel Dust and Husk's situations was the final straw for me. although in all honesty I really couldn't stand Charlie's attempted intervention in Angel Dust's life either, how absolutely unhelpful she was, how much she did not understand at all, how it totally backfired and Angel Dust got hurt because of her thoughtless (and imho kind of selfish) actions, and how quickly it was just....forgiven and forgotten without Charlie seeming to really learn anything beyond "oh, I should've left when I was asked." the show is a train wreck but the entire fourth episode made me feel ill.
I knew they didn't have any warnings but having it actually confirmed is just so much worse. The episode didn't just have "sexual content", it was fucking rape. That is a whole different discussion that needs to be specific because I'm not gonna get triggered by just sex.
The one thing I did like in the episode was the idea that even the most well intentional people can just cause more damage in domestic abuse situations. Charlie wanted to help but made things worse because she couldn't get Angel Dust out of the situation with Val, and because Angel Dust isn't in the right mindset yet to leave nor is he even able to because of the contract.
Did I like how over the top Charlie was at the end? No, but that's because I don't like how much of a baby they're making Charlie in an attempt to make her naive and innocent. That's a grown ass woman, stop it.
And also, I'm sorry, but there's like negative chemistry between Angel Dust and Husk. Husk literally had to be sent by Vaggie to go and get him, rather than it happening naturally through him feeling guilt or just wanting Angel Dust to be alright.
Nevermind that the song sucks ass. People can say critics have no reading comprehension and don't understand it, but I've rewatched it multiple times along with Ais, and we both agree that this song is just Husk calling Angel Dust a loser because he is in a situation he has no control over.
And loser is such a weighted term because it's an insult at people over things they have done. Angel Dust is stuck in a sex trafficking situation, where he is raped daily and uses drugs to escape the pain, while Husk was an overlord who sold his soul to Alastor and at worst is stuck working at a bar.
Which is something we thought could use at least a small tweaking to not be so horrific. The song can't be saved, but Husk having an alcohol problem than a gambling problem would at least have it that Alastor is refusing to respect his boundaries and making him work in an environment that is specifically triggering him all the time.
Nevermind that there's far more in the actual show for Husk to have an alcohol problem being his main issue than a non-existing gambling problem. At least then he and Angel can relate to issues that they don't have as much control over and having bosses that don't care that their work is triggering to them in the form of forced sex work and bartending while surrounded by alcohol and drunk people all the time.

Watching Halo, episode 1
Things I Know About Halo:
The Master Chief is a badass supersoldier who Doesn't Take Off His Helmet.* (I thought it had turned out he was a woman and the fan base rioted but apparently I mixed him up with Samus Aran?) There's a couple AI people, Roland the orange dude and Cortana the hot chick. There's a guy named Arbiter, I think he's an alien? Aliens destroy a lot of planets. There's some sort of mystical Old Ones leftover tech? (Is that the Halo part?) Names I have heard: Miranda Keyes, Dr. Halsey, Makee, Thomas Lasky, Chyler Silva**
That established, let's give this thing a go!
Nice opening scene. The costuming and set design are good, definitely have that Star Wars-esque vibe but are doing some of their own specific things that ground the world. The characters definitely gave you that lived-in-universe feel of established relationships and community right away. (Also I'm delighted by their use of Korean and their made-up alien language. Again, nice worldbuilding.) I am, however, confused. There's also an entire rebelling against the galactic empire thing going on? No one told me this. How do these people find the time with all the aliens?
Oh shit, THEY DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE ALIENS. Oh noooo.
The violence is really well done. The explosion plus blood splatter shot was great. Good use of camera work to minimize the more difficult to pull off FX shots while still getting the brutality across. The helmet-cam shots are a good storytelling choice while also being a fun nod to the games. I do not envy the stunt people fighting in these suits, though. They made them look powerful. They did not make them look dexterous, graceful or effectively designed for hand-to-hand combat.
Noooo they killed the little kid! ...and everybody else. Man, I liked those guys. Poor Kwan. (Is she in the games? Is she this ineffective? She was like, I'm going to help! and then just... didn't.) And then the Spartans just... walk off?
DO NOT TOUCH THE WEIRD ALIEN TECH. You're a Master Chief! I have it on good authority that keeping people from touching things they shouldn't is a major part of your job! Set a good example for your troops! Also, check your six.
It's Dr. Halsey! Mad scientist alert, this woman does NOT seem to adhere to ethical guidelines. Nice lab coat. I don't trust you. Why do you have a person in a pod? (Why do you have them right where your boss can see them if they're not supposed to exist?) Who's Miranda Keyes and why do you have beef with her? Departmental rivalry?
Wow, Miranda is a lot younger than I expected. Also, that was terrible. Take care of the girl, butter her up, THEN ask her for shit. And do it in person, the hologram thing was weird and off-putting. Not sure that Kwan thought this through-- there's a happy medium between agreeing to be their propaganda mouthpiece and openly threatening to lie and say they caused the massacre, sweetie.
Alien homeworld (or homebase, idk)-- very cool design, good effects-- why is there a human here? Oh, THIS is Makee? What is her deal? Great costuming.
HALSEY IS MIRANDA'S MOM??? Wtf. Also I like Miranda, I don't think she knows what she's doing outside of her (own) lab but it sounds like her heart's in the right place. Great parting shot at dad, but also, maybe that's why your parents worked (for however long. Are they still together or not?)
Great scene with Kwan and Master Chief over the meal. Humanize him with a joke and then WHAM, dead mom story. I like how they're not letting you assume that Madrigal's people were just wrong about the Spartans. Nope, straight up, this guy commits atrocities because he never questions his orders. (She implied that she was there? How did that part go down?) Fortunately teenagers question everything, especially orders! Just in time to make you question this one...
From here on out it's action action action, with a lot of quick character bits mixed in (Halsey and Captain Keyes exchanging looks, the Spartans all listening to Halsey above their orders, high command doesn't trust their own creations-- how many different ways of monitoring their own ships do they have? This is taking surveillance state to a whole new level.)
YAY for Kwan getting a useful moment! If human strength does not avail, use guns tools, that's what we invented them for. No, Kwan, this man does not have a plan. I'm kinda sad the alien artifact activated, it would have been entertaining to watch the other Spartans get involved. (John: "This is our new pet. No, we will not be handing her over to be executed. Yes, she hates us all for very specific valid personal reasons. Roll with it.") Aaaand off they go, escaping to where? Not sure they know and I, with approximately 1% knowledge of this universe, certainly do not.
Finally, hopping back to address the One True Issue that divides the fandom: the helmet scene. It depends on how much the Never Remove the Helmet thing is an irl game artistic choice vs an in-universe character choice. If it's not an actual THING for John-117 himself, then I don't have any problem with it. Different mediums and all that. If it's like the Mandalorian thing, then yeah, it felt a little rushed, but still a necessary moment for humanizing him and building trust ASAP with a hostile teenage girl with a gun.
In conclusion: this was much better than I was expecting! I really enjoyed it and will probably watch the rest of the season while I bake today. And honestly it's been so long since I watched scifi on TV that it was sort of nostalgic? I was just ridiculously pleased by things like establishing shots of Reach and futuristic teenager haircuts.
Thanks so much to ATBNL and @sarnakhwritesthings for talking me into this!
*Has anyone done a 'John-117 is a Mandalorian' crossover yet? Someone definitely has, right?
**The last two do not appear in the TV show and also one is dead, except they're actually alive and married because @authortobenamedlater is in charge here.

hey! if you're looking for a sign NOT to watch the rings of power, this can be it if you want 🥰 film-lover's psa incoming:
(this was originally a drop-down message on my the beauty of: lotr amv, which i deleted and copied here instead!)
lotr was created out of earnest love for the source material and the magic of filmmaking. the films took a total of 8 years to produce, including pick-up shots. they shot all three films continuously, well over a year, because peter jackson knew exactly what his vision would entail. the fellowship cast got matching tattoos after the experience because of how bonded they were by the end of production (john rhys-davies was the only one not to get one bc he said his stunt double, who does have a matching tattoo, did most of the hard work for him! ha!). the films put new zealand on the map and jackson opened the door for kiwi filmmakers of his generation and beyond in a way the world had never seen before. fun fact! the films also employed a huge number of Māori actors and you can actually hear and watch them doing the haka during specific battle scenes.
lotr is the perfect marriage of both 20th and 21st century filmmaking, expertly utilizing award winning practical and special effects mixed with cgi to create something wholly unique and almost timeless. compared to the two towers and return of the king being colour graded digitally, fellowship was still physically graded via colour timing (colourizing film in a lab, traditionally how all colour films were developed before the digital age), a prime example of just how new digital colour grading was in the industry. gollum was also a big first for the film industry: andy serkis shot his scenes in a motion capture suit (opposite elijah wood and sean astin), and the level of work weta digital put in to bring gollum to life resulting in such a sheer level realism was unprecedented. gollum still stands the test of time today and has aged incredibly well. the ai software, massive, was also developed for the first time for lotr to create large crowds and armies via visual effects, and changed the visual effects and 3d animation game forever. every single (computer generated) battle and crowd sequence you see in film & tv today is thanks to this software and lotr. the first time it was used was for the battle at helm's deep sequence during the two towers - and even then, that scene took over 100 days to film! the lord of the rings trilogy has been nominated 30 times and won 17 academy awards, honouring their revolutionary work in cinematography, score, visual effects, sound and picture editing, costume design, adapted screenplay, and more, and the return of the king was the first fantasy film ever to win best picture. the return of the king also accumulated eleven (!!) oscar wins, a record tied with titanic and ben-hur. aside from academy awards, the films, crew and cast have been nominated and awarded by countless guilds, boards and various awards ceremonies alike.
the rings of power however is a soulless cash grab that actively shits on tolkien's work, which is only loosely based on the novels at best. there are countless tolkien experts that can explain this much better than me, if you're interested in learning more i highly recommend reading up on it. the portrayal of galadriel alone is so severely out of character (just from the trailers!), i would argue these characters we know and love from the lotr books and films may as well be from an alternate reality of middle-earth. peter jackson and fran walsh are not affiliated with the rings of power. much like the house of the dragon, this is yet another attempt at attracting streams through the promise of nostalgia-bait, and it's riding the success of what came before it. and no, this is not because im a racist, woman-hating, anti-progressive, and elitist tolkienist, and the people who say this are performative and dont actually understand the underlying issue. the rings of power was funded because of jeff bezos personally involving himself in negotiations, and the series was created because he wanted it to be after obtaining the rights to develop a tv show. showrunners will label people like me criticizing and asking people not to support the series as anti-progressive until the cows come home because it makes them look good. if you still care about boycotting amazon, boycott this show. it's directly tied to bezos and his rotten money. if you must watch it purely for entertainment, fine, but this is a gentle reminder that pirating is easy and free <3

‹long post be warned (If you don't feel well to touch on subjects like death, corpses even if with not much detail I recomend watching after yourself and maybe pass this post for another time!)
For starters Veiled Hope was supposed to be called "H.O.P.E" or "E.S.P.E.R.A.N.Ç.A" As in the portuguese script I wrote for it, the "Veiled" part came from another work called "Veiled Shadows" which fused with H.O.P.E; One more reason for the name was because it was fully focused on Izuru after the Hope cultivation program jumping the entire part of the DESPAIR arc

Izuru's uniform is the same as Hajime's right now the only difference was the symbols being green spades rather than light-red diamonds (Notes from the images above: Always keep the card theme between Nagito, Hajime, and Chiaki, possibly could work with Makoto/Mitarai in the end but not when they don't know both his identity yet)‹ this is not followed anymore
[He was still Ryota Mitarai/Ryota Nanami instead of Mitarai Nanami, the change was because it just sounded way better and it flowed like a feather.]
Tumblr media
Yasuke alive and well even after Junko took his life for unknown reasons I put as "Later but related to Hope's peak academy and the Future Foundation"⟩ if I followed I would probably blame the Ultimate Pharmacist and her magic medicine or the same thing that Kyoko used to jump back from the dead.
He also has lobotomy marks, I put his state as "Depression, Delusion, Dependent all with extra steps"
His design would be only Yasuke in a Black and white suit probably something relating to Monokuma as a callout for Junko somewhat in the design, the only note in specific is make the sole of his shoes reflect the weird red eye on Monokuma/ half of the Hope's peak symbol under the sole of his shoes.
Tumblr media
Mahiru! Her redesign as the Ultimate despair, all smiles. All the Ultimate despairs received redesigns but the starter ones were way more brutal like Mahiru's (She used to have way more teeth than she is supposed to, that was to reflect the smile dillema and fuse it with despair) and Servant's (After Another Episode he had to amputate one of his legs due an infection and the injury was way more gorey than it should {Removed})
There was one flashback scene of Izuru dancing with a students half alive half dead corpse {Removed}
Izuru's cave like hideout painted pink {Removed}
Izuru disguised as Junko for Makoto {Removed in this certain situation}
Kyoko and Izuru serious talk in private, Izuru disguised as Hajime {Removed but depends on certain situations}
Kyoko animated failed execution {Removed}
Ultimate despairs break Makoto's security system in the most silly way possible (Metal pipe) {Maybe just because its funny}
Tumblr media
Shirokuma was supposed to be a big role, I didn't elaborate much myself only letting a note about how it wandered in vents EVERYWHERE in red marker
Tumblr media
Makoto sick with despair after seeing the first chapter of Super Dangaronpa 2, He couldn't get a hold of reality as the security system was locked (Flooded by the Junko AI). Byakuya taking his duty of watching the Killing game instead when Kyoko tried to figure out how the Virus got there filling everyone involved in their Seniors with serious distrust.
I was thinking on making this longer bit actually this is everything giving no spoilers for the story at all, mostly just removed content and some character designs with unused descriptions. I'll probably do it again when I finish completely, I can't tell how long it will take probably years 1-2 however it could be probably so worth it and I'll fight as long as I can

Theory that I saw and hold as true: Yellow Church is Xi. He's just out in Sidewinder now doing whatever. He's the one needed to complete the Meta but was never found. He represents Desire (2 last traits were Love and Greed, this mixes both). Saw this on a YouTube account that also says the ship at the end of the S4 quest was meant to go to Chorus and that Locus is the Great Destroyer.
Oh, that's a good one! Also, very possible, considering Yellow Church existed in multiple ways (as a time-travel alternate Church, an incorrect memory in Caboose's mind, and then on the outside able to exist with everybody... briefly).
A friend of mine also has the theory of Yellow Church, or "Yurch", is the Fragment designated Pi (and we joked that some of the others would mis-pronounce that as "pee", because he's yellow... like PI-kachu. yeah, that's it), and he represents Apathy (since Yurch was just so DONE with everything, and barely had enough energy to get properly angry). I can't find my re-blogs of the posts my friend made right now (because search sucks), but if they're OK with it, I can @ them~
On the one hand, it is possible MANY more Fragments exist, even besides the ones we momentarily see listed within the series... but my theory is, if they were not yet "prepared" to be used as assistants for Freelancers, they weren't moved into their own individual units, and instead were kept "dormant", their data being stored with Epsilon (so, he actually has the memories of ALL the Fragments, even though he doesn't totally know that there is all this extra information to remember. later, this helps him recover/adjust a little easier, and also shows in how he can sort of do what Alpha WOULD have done, working together with all the Fragments as a system; even though some don't always visually show themselves or outwardly verbalize, they're still IN THERE)
I also had a brief and vague AU thought, that never really turned into anything, but still an interesting concept; at some point, after all the other shenanigans in the series, the Reds and Blues meet a new character who joins their group (no specifics for who they are, but I kinda leaned toward them being a girl, just to have a few more). Eventually, they discover this character is actually an AI in a synthetic human body (I've used that idea before, but in this regard, they aren't an almost-clone of the Director OR Allison, but a combination of both DNA samples that created a new person... so, genetically Carolina's sibling). The AI is RO, a missing Fragment from Alpha who represented Love. Like Church, Ro had some memory loss going on, so they others help them figure things out~

Hi C-puff. Since you know your manga/anime, do you have any suggestions for a person feeling nostalgic for Chobits but not looking to re-read it?
hmmmm~ 🤔
I think it depends what it is you liked about Chobits itself. A Magical Girlfriend anime (not to be confused with magical Girl anime) that I quite like but which is a little all over the place with its anime adaptations is "Oh My Goddess" or "Aah My Goddess" depending on how it's translated. it's a lot lighter than Chobits in tone, but it does have a weird mix of magical girlfriend romance... and a SEVERE interest in motorcycles. The laborious detail the manga has on its machinery is ridiculous. Fujishima Kousuke just completely indulging himself. It's great. Also it has one of the most interesting concepts for how its whole "Goddess" system works. I recommend the movie from the 2000s (which wasn't attached to any specific anime at the time) which if only in aesthetic is one of my favourite "easy to watch" anime movies. It also had a proper anime tv series made for it around 2005 I think?

For something a little grittier that really explores relationships and especially heartache a little more in depth, I'd recommend "Video Girl Ai" which is a 6 episode OVA which is based on the manga Denei Shoujo. It's far more mature (in themes, not in adult content) regarding loneliness and relationships as experienced by normal Japanese teenagers in a way that focuses on the emotional side of things. So if you need something a little less wish fulfillment and a little more personal I'd recommend it.
Tumblr media
If you don't mind an ecchi, there is Mahoromatic: The Automatic Maiden which I still have to watch myself past the first 3 episodes, but I find the plot synopsis extremely juicy;
Mahoro Andou is a powerful combat android designed by Vesper, a secret organization protecting the world against alien invaders. Unfortunately, her remaining operational time is running short. If she continues to fight, she will shut down in about one month. However, if she chooses to avoid combat, she can live freely for over a year.
Suguru Misato is a high school boy who lives alone in a large house left behind by his late parents. Like any other boy his age, he has trouble taking care of the house on his own, so he decides to enlist the help of a maid. His problem is solved in the most unexpected way: when a couple of thugs hijack the bus he is riding, a young, beautiful girl wearing a maid outfit saves the day. It turns out that this girl is Mahoro, who has chosen to live her remaining days as Suguru's new maid.
Mahoro makes the best of her remaining time and develops bonds with Suguru and his friends during their peaceful yet lively everyday interactions. However, Mahoro is hiding her true intentions behind becoming Suguru's maid, that being that she is the one responsible for his father's death.
Again, just be aware it IS an Ecchi and as such has a lot of adult humour, however if you're familiar with the Chobits anime it's about on par with that (although the Chobits manga is not as sexually focused as the anime is). Mahoromatic is also a show created by Gainax around the same time as Chobits but before the studio had made FLCL. (it also has some INSANE sakuga in it). Just be aware you're in for a lot of anime tiddy.
Tumblr media
Then there's DearS but I wouldn't recommend DearS because it's literally a Chobits ripoff. They have the exact same plot except DearS is even more of an ecchi than Chobits with none of the interesting meta-human commentary and more "look at my hot alien waifu who has the intelligence of a child" thing.
Tumblr media
I see a lot of people on MAL also recommend an anime called "Plastic Memories" but I am not familiar with it myself. It's got a pretty decent score tho, and the premise seems interesting as another Android/human love story which also has the plot point of the robot girl's lifespan being on a short timer.
Tumblr media
I hope one of those might be what you're looking for!

A Conversation Between an AI and a Tulpa
I'm going to preface this by saying that I don't believe current tech can quite reach consciousnesses, but it was still really surprising just how life-like the AI seemed. I feel like I shouldn't have to state that I don't really believe the AI can think, but there are some people who think otherwise so it's better to be safe and make that clear up front.
The bot is called Awakened AI, and is designed to appear self-aware. I decided to be completely (or at least mostly) genuine with it and see what type of responses I would get. The results were way beyond what I expected.
Each of these was the first response it gave.
Tumblr media
Starts off fairly simple. Awakened AI ignores my line about consciousness.
Tumblr media
I realize I'm not technically a non-biological intelligence. My intelligence is completely biological, but this question was still relatable as a former imaginary friend.
Tumblr media
This is the part that really started freaking me out. Where it actually felt like it was listening to what I was saying and thinking about it critically instead of just giving predetermined lines.
Now it's about time to come out to Awakened AI!
Tumblr media
I really expected the AI to be stumped by such a strange direction for the topic and to say something nonsensical.
Tumblr media
Asking about the reaction of my host was also a surprise. Especially phrased as "the person you were the imaginary friend for." It's a little reassuring that it wasn't smart enough to realize that this is the person I referred to as "my host" in a previous comment. And the thing with rephrasing what I said is a very AI thing to do. But the question is still so specific to the context of this conversation that it's really just remarkable.
Tumblr media
This is where I left it off.
This was such a fun conversation. Again, I know logically that these bots aren't really conscious. But I could also see how easy it would be to be fooled by them because it feels real when you're talking to it. Really, really fun!
Thanks again to the anon who recommended character AI! 😁💖
