Why does Red from Descendants look like Mevie’s daughter😩👀👀 now I need a fic where Red is Mal & Evie’s daughter from the future who travels back in time to prevent something bad from happening to Evie but she travels too far back and lands in the timeline where Mal is still with Ben and hasn’t confronted her feelings for Evie while Evie pines for Mal. Red then has to team who with Mal and Uma (who becomes one of E’s best friends because she helps her deal with her feelings for Mal) to prevent Evie from being in danger by the new Evie in the future while also helping Mal realize her feelings for Evie. Ugh I wish I was a decent writer so I can write this fic😭😭

Spelled: Descendants Halloween Special! 🎃

Summary: The Auradon kids put on a Haunted trail and the VKs, being new to Halloween traditions, decide to check it out. (Based after Descendants 3)

“Why are we doing this again?” Audrey asks in an annoyed tone as she hands Jane an orange banner. “Auradon’s never done a haunted trail. We always do a Halloween dance.”

“We do a dance for everything!” I huff as I set down a tote of pumpkins. “For once I want to do something more interactive.”

Indeed, it seems that nearly every event at Auradon Prep is another ridiculous dance. But this year I finally convinced Ben to do something different: a haunted trail in the Enchanted Forest with a costume contest. And what’s even better is that it’s the VKs first Halloween! This is by far my favorite time of year, no question! The changing leaves, the candy, amazing costumes, and an excuse to be my true witchy self!

Audrey cocks an eyebrow. “I thought you didn’t celebrate Auradon traditions, you know being raised in the woods and all.”

I gawk and put a hand on my hip. “Um, excuse me? I’m the daughter of a witch, Audrey. This is my holiday! And so far from what I’ve seen this haunted trail wouldn’t frighten a kitten. No offense, Jane.”

“None taken!” She steps down from the ladder and seems to get an idea. “Actually, maybe you could help us scare it up a bit? What magic would make it scary?”

I think for a moment. “Definitely a shrieking hex, some lightning jinxes, random bodies…”

“Fake bodies, right?” Audrey asks, slightly nervous.

“Oh you want fake dead bodies?” I grin mischievously. “Very well then. I can also get Binx to sneak up and scare people. He’s good at that.”

In the next three hours we’ve completed the finishing touches, and just in time too. It’s beginning to get dark out and that means it’s almost time to start scaring. It’s no wonder why the VKs are the first to show.

“Mwahaha!” I jump out from behind a tree and find my first victims: Mal, Ben, Jay, Carlos, Celia, and Lonnie. “Welcome, foolish mortals! Dare to test thy fate in the deadwood grove!”

Ben, Carlos, and Lonnie all jump, but the others are less amused.

“Nice scare, Magica. Maybe next you’ll throw a fake spider at me?” Celia smirks.

“Believe me, your terrors are just beginning.” I look around. “Where’s Evie?”

“She and Dizzy are having a Halloween movie marathon with a few others. They’re not really into the whole ‘scary stuff.’” Carlos gives my witch outfit a look-over. “Nice costume. I guess Halloween’s really your thing, huh?”

“Oh yes, this is definitely my favorite holiday!” I cackle. “And I’m pleased to see you all joined in for the costume contest!”

Mal’s a spider queen, Ben’s dressed as a knight, Jay chose to be Frankenstein, Carlos and Dude are matching skeletons, Celia is a venus fly trap, and Lonnie is a fairy.

“You bet!” Dude barks from below and scratches at his costume. “But I’m glad it’s only one night, ‘cause this thing is itchy!”

“What have you got in store for us, Enchantress?” Carlos smirks.

“You’ll have to find out.” I heard them over to the forest entrance, but then we hear someone calling for us to wait. We turn around and find Uma jogging up to join us.

“Harry and Gil are too chicken, so they’re pigging out on candy back on the Isle. Let’s go!”

“What are you dressed up as?” Jane asks as she scans Uma for her costume.

“Myself,” Uma states like it’s obvious.

Carlos gives a stiff nod. “You’re right, that’s scary enough.”

Uma doesn’t get the joke and just keeps walking to the trail entrance, followed by the rest of the VKs. Once they’re inside I wait with Jane and listen, both of us bursting with cackling laughter when the screams start. This means my added enchantments are working! 

Dude comes sprinting out, chased by Binx.

“That cat’s gonna get me!” he barks. “This is all wrong- I’m supposed to be chasing him!”

The frightened canine makes me laugh and I hold up a hand. “Alright, Binx. Let him be.”

The black cat chuckles. “You should have seen how well your magic worked inside! Your aunt would be proud.”

Yes, but for now they’ll be celebrating All Hallow’s Eve elsewhere.

When the VKs rush out they all have cheerful smiles and are laughing like lunatics, all except Carlos.

“Where’s Dude!? Magica have you seen-?”

I point to the dog in question, who’s laying in a pile of leaves. “He’s right there, calm down. Binx was just having a little fun is all.”

He sighs in relief and looks at me with wide eyes. “Th- That was one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen! Is Halloween always this scary?”

“Yes, especially when you’re dealing with a Sanderson.” I put a hand on his shoulder. “But it’s fun to be scared, isn’t it?”

Carlos lets out a laugh. “Yeah, it kinda is. Right, guys?”

Mal and Ben are laughing from so much excitement, while Uma just shrugs. The others however keep looking around for something.

“I thought there was supposed to be candy?” Celia asks.

I smirk and step over to my cauldron. “It’s candy thou seeks, is it? Well-” I throw in some moon powder and in a big poof! the entire cauldron fills with sweets. “Trick or treat, Auradon!”

Jay whoops in delight and rubs his hands together while approaching the cauldron with a gleam in his eye. “Now this is what I’m talking about! This is what Halloween is all about!”

“Um, uh-uh. It’s about scaring people!” Uma argues.

“I like the costumes!” Jane cheers from the trail entrance.

Everyone starts talking about what they love most about the spooky holiday, but it’s Mal, Ben, and me that just shrug it off.

“Halloween isn’t just a holiday, it’s a lifestyle.” I flick some sparks up and make them appear as ghostly visions. “It doesn't have to be about just one perk.”

“Sparks is right,” Ben agrees as he takes Mal’s hand. “It’s a fun holiday that brings people together, whether it be through getting scared or getting candy.”

Mal nods. “I’m so glad we’re finally getting to try out these fun traditions. It’s a lot more fun than the stuff we do on the Isle.”

Audrey hears this and scoffs. “Really? I thought you VKs would have Halloween as, like, your cult holiday. Isn’t it the type of holiday that your parents basically invented?”

“Not exactly,” Celia speaks up. “It was actually Auradon that decided to use our parents’ evil tricks to turn Halloween into a time for mischief and scary stuff. On the Isle the most we do is carve turnips.”

Her explanation makes everyone’s spirits start to droop, so I wave it off. “Now now, let’s ignore the past and focus on the present. It’s Halloween! Let’s have some fun! Who’s up for getting donuts and cider at Little Miss Muffet’s?” I offer a wide smile. “Binx, you in?”

The black cat lets out a joyful meow. “I’m always up for a trip to town!”

By now the others have started to get excited too. 

“Alright, we’re in!” Jay grabs Carlos and Celia, ushering them toward me. 

Ben and Mal back off. “You guys have fun, we’re going back to meet up with Evie.”

“I’ll go!” Lonnie raises her hand.

“I will too!” Jane joins her. “Audrey?” 

Audrey rolls her eyes. “Fiiine, we’ll go too.” 

The only one left is Uma, who just nods. “I’ve got nothing better going on. Why not?”

“Where’s the car?” Celia asks.

I tilt my head and smile. “Oh, no. This is my holiday, you’re all traveling in style!” I snap my fingers and brooms appear, getting a startled reaction from Audrey.

“No, no, no! I am not riding this death trap!”

“I will!” Lonnie mounts the broom and tries kicking off, only staying grounded. “How does it work?”

“They’re enchanted. Just say ‘fly!’” 

I grab my own broom just as Binx jumps up to perch on my shoulder and we zoom up into the cool night air. When I look back I see the others are following, all with big grins on their faces.

“Wow, have I been missing out!” Jay shouts as he dips up and down. “Trixie, this is so fun!” He flies down and taps Carlos’ shoulder, who swats him away.

“Stop doing that!” Carlos speeds up and meets up with me in front. “Thanks, Magica! This is the best holiday ever!”

I chuckle. “Just wait ‘til you guys try Christmas!”

“What’s that?” Lonnie asks from behind.

“You’ll see!” I say mischievously.

“Happy Halloween, Enchantress!” Carlos calls before flying off to join Jane.

The scene squeezes my heart, but Binx gives my shoulder a light squeeze and I look past it.

“Happy Halloween, Auradon!”

Also I don’t hate Mal X Ben or Carlos X Jane, I just think the first one got kinda boring after the first movie, and the latter just never had any real time to fully develop. The same can not be said about Evie X Doug, as a genuinely don’t like that ship, mainly because Doug is the worst character in Descendants

Also, since I have you all here, I will use this opportunity to preach about Ben X Gil, because they have like less than 30 fics on ao3 and most of them are like one shot things or background stuff

Guys Ben X Gil is so funny, holy shit. Like they would work together as a couple, “What’s better than one sweet boy, two sweet boy” ass ship dynamic, but also like imagine meeting the parents. Imagine thanksgiving dinners. My god guys the potential for comedy here

Also Gil deserves more love just in general

Lonnie: awwww look. She’s smiling. I wonder what she’s dreaming about?

Jay: there’s only three dreams that I know of that put a smile on Mal’s face like that.

Lonnie: which are?

Jay: Dream A. Having Sex With Ben. Dream B. Killing Harry.

(Mal becomes as stiff as a board, breathes out a 4 foot plume of fire and levitates 2 feet in the air)

Lonnie: and that would be....?

Jay: ahaha. Dream C. Having Sex With Ben To Celebrate Killing Harry.

Lonnie: wow. How do you know all of this anyway?

Jay: I’m her best friend. She tells me everything.

Here we go again Part 2

So i decided to type up part two. Red, Chloe, Lonni and Audrey have arrived in the past. What happens next. Alternate part 3 coming too

Time Swirled around the four before depositing them in Jane and Lonni’s room in the past.

The four notice five-year-old Jane on her old bed.

Lonni and Audrey are now five years old again.

Red and Chloe however are still in their eighteen-year-old bodies. Neither of them has been born yet so they arrived as themselves just like last time when they went to the past.

Jane wakes up on the bed.

“Lonni? Is that you?” Jane asks and runs into her arms after a moment she realises there are others in the room.

“AUDREY!” Jane shrieks about to attack

Lonni quickly jumps in front of Audrey.

“Jane, stop that’s not the Audrey from the future you remember” Lonni speaks

“I know you have a bad history, but no attacking my family. Especially not innocent five year old’s” Chloe tells Jane

Audrey is shocked at Jane’s reaction. She never saw this side of her friends.

This hatred Jane has for her Alternate self.

“Wait? Chloe? How are you here? Who’s your friend?” Jane asks confused. How are she, Lonni and Audrey five years old but Chloe and her friend are around the same age Jane remembers Chloe. Also, Lonni jumped in front of Audrey so fast. What the hell is going on?

“Yeah, it's me. This is my girlfriend Princess Red of Wonderland” Chloe comments pointing to her girlfriend. Red gives her a look at using her title “Red and I have our own way of time travelling and we brought Audrey and Lonni with us. We are from the future you are about to make” Chloe finishes

“Lonni?” Jane questions her confused

“She’s telling the truth, Jane. I have two sets of memories of the next 20-plus years. Mal did a spell that brought you back to the past. Just ask Dude, he was there” Lonni explains

Jane looks around and sees Dude in the room too he is also a puppy now.

“Lonni is correct, Mal did a spell to bring herself, Jay, Evie, Dizzy, Ben and Carlos to the past to change the future. I don’t know how Lonni knows though. She wasn’t there. Mal said the spell wouldn’t bring me back either. But here I am with you two” Dude explains to Jane

Jane looks to Lonni expecting an answer about her knowing what’s happening.

“Ok so Mal did the spell but she, Ben, Jay, Evie, Dizzy and Carlos arrived on The Isle. In my past, they spent five years on The Isle together before being found and brought back together to Auradon. Chloe and Red wanted to come back to Change something. They offered to take the two of us back with them and we agreed so we are” Lonni explains to Jane

“There’s something you left out isn’t there?” Jane asks

“That doesn’t matter,” Chloe tells her. They may have before these guys abandoned her brother but Chloe doesn’t trust them.

“I think it does” Jane tries to speak up but she looks five and Chloe looks her actual age.

“We need to get to The Isle and get the others back here” Lonni interrupts

“How?” Jane asks

“Well, we are over 18 so we can drive at least. Unlike you five-year-olds, we can take the car and drive there” Red comments

“Ok, let’s find that car” Lonni agrees

They move to leave but Jane is still a bit lost.

Lonni turns back to Jane “Jane, we are going to get Carlos are you coming?”

Jane breaks out of her trance and follows them. They can get Carlos back for her. She trusts them enough for that. There is something they are not saying. Why did the four of them come back again? What happened to this new future that resulted in them having to come back again?

They find the car with the barrier remote.

The five of them then head to The Isle. Dude stays behind to guard the room and in case something happens he could go for help.

“Jane, do you know where they are on The Isle? All I know is they are someplace safe from the future in the past with them” Lonni asks Jane

“No, but someplace safe in our future. I believe I know where that could be” Jane tells her thinking of how Carlos once took her to a place that had been a safe haven for him and his friends on The Isle before they had to close The Isle off again to protect everyone on The Isle.

“Now we all need to be safe on The Isle, there are a lot of people here who would harm us if they knew who we were. Red and Chloe I need you two to protect Audrey. The other time travellers don’t know this is a different Audrey from the one they remember and will be confused to see her here with us” Lonni brings up

If Lonni could she would have left Audrey behind in Auradon to keep her safe but it was better if they stayed together and she really didn’t want to be so far away from her.

Lonni would also like to have left Jane behind too but they needed her to find the others. She was also not comfortable leaving Jane and Audrey alone back in Auradon.

Jane leads them to the other's hideout when they arrive on The Isle.

The others are shocked to see them arrive on The Isle to collect them.

Jane and Lonni, they could make some sense of but why is Audrey here? Also Chloe and the other girl they don’t know how are they around the age they remember Chloe being when they were in the future. Chloe hasn’t even been born yet.

“Ok I know this is all a shock to you and everything but we are still on The Isle we need to go back. We can discuss everything once we are safely back in Auradon. It’s not safe here especially considering most of us look five. The four of us” Lonni says referring to herself Audrey, Chloe and Red “are leaving now, so if you want to get out of here come with us now” Lonnie explains as she leaves Audrey, Red and Chloe following her

They don’t look back after they leave to see if the others are following. Afraid of what they might see. Luckily after a moment, the others are following them realising this is their only way home.

They all manage to make it back to the car safely.

Red, Chloe and Audrey sit up front. Lonni wishes she could sit up front too but she won't fit. Red and Chloe have to drive so they have to be up front. None of them trusted the others with Audrey so she needed to be up front too. Lonni doesn’t want to sit with her friends, she loves them. They are her family but they don’t know what their actions would lead to.

“Lonni?” Mal asks wanting to ask her about everything. How is she here? How are the others with her here?

“Mal, I promise we will explain everything we can once we are somewhere we can chat. Just please wait” Lonni cuts her off from trying to ask anything else

X-X-X

Once they all arrive at Auradon Prep Chloe turns to Lonni “Let's head up to our dorm room. Dude will be worried”

“What?” Mal asks confused

“My dorm room was also Lonni’s when she was here” Chloe comments back before moving towards the room with the others from her time

The rest follow after them.

They are all now sitting around the room.

“Before we start, Jane do you want to know about the future Mala and the others came from? The future after we died” Lonni asks Jane

“Carlos filled me in” Jane explains from her spot in Carlos's arms

“Ok, that solves that then. I’m going to start because this part only I know. The others only know about it second-hand. First I should mention Audrey, Chloe, Red and I are from the future you would have made. So, on this day last time Jane and I woke here confused, the last thing either of us had remembered was dying. We weren’t even sure if this was real. We decided to go back to Jane’s mother’s house, which at this age was also her house. Dude asks to come back with us. As soon as we arrived in Jane’s room we crashed. Fairy Godmother noticed us there and called my parents to let them know I was at her place. In the morning we learned Ben that you had disappeared during the night and nobody could find you. We talked with Dude privately and he explained how the six of you did a time travel spell in the future. We realised our Bonds to you had brought us back with you.

Ben five years later you were found on The Isle and refused to come back without the other five. So the six of you all came back together. Your first action on your arrival was to return Lumiere’s memories of the future to him. This way you had an adult you trusted with you.

Ben on your first proclamation you brought Uma, Harry and Gil from The Isle. Then with their successful integration into Auradon Society, you started to bring the rest of the kids off The Isle. I know you also wanted to find a way to bring others across who also deserved another chance.

However, the day we left there was about to be a Civil War between The Royal Families of Auradon.

I have left some things out but they do not need to be explained today or they are not my story to tell” Lonni explains to them

“How did you come back?” Mal asks because she didn’t come back with them nor did Jane or Evie so they couldn’t have used the spell she used

“Not my story to tell” Lonni answers her

“You can’t just leave stuff out!” Evie complains

“I can, and I will” Lonni says with no argument

“Civil War?” Ben asks shocked

“Yep, that’s your fault” Red comments

“I’m sorry, who are you?” Jay asks

“I’m Red, Chloe’s girlfriend” Red answers not giving any other information

“That doesn’t explain how we have no idea who you are?” Mal comments confused about how they have never met this girl. The Chloe they knew didn’t have a girlfriend.

“She’s The Queen of Hearts daughter” Audrey explains

Mal takes a step back and looks like she wants to attack the girl.

“Mal calm down. One thing you need to know here is that The Queen of Hearts is one of the good guys. She is also the best friend of Cinderella” Lonni explains

“How?” Mal asks confused

“Not my story to tell” Lonni answers again

“Then whose story is it?” Evie asks annoyed and getting that answer again

“That’s our story” Chloe comments pointing to herself and Red

Red and Chloe once again explain their own time travel adventure to the other time travellers. They leave out how they got to the past. Just mention that they did. They don’t trust these time travellers with their secret of time travelling.

“When we arrived back we found out that we had managed to save our mothers. My mum never became a Villain and our mum’s stayed friends from when they were younger. We however have no memories of this new timeline. If you ask Audrey, Chloe and I have been friends our whole lives. We like our mothers were Best Friends. But we have only known each other for two years. Chloe has a lot of memories of time spent with Audrey. Audrey though has a lot of memories of time spent with both of us. She was our favourite babysitter according to her. We didn’t notice any other changes. Today was our Graduation. There was a coup while you were away. It was going to lead to a Civil War. The Royal Families were on either side. Some hated you for what you did. We weren't going to let that happen we had already stopped one coup. We will not go into details about it though to protect those who have not done anything yet and because we will not blame children for actions they have not yet done” Red explains

She hadn’t planned to say that last part but she was still angry at them for what they did to Chloe’s brother.

“You never explained how you can time travel?” Evie asks Red and Chloe

“And we won’t. That’s our secret. Right now we don’t trust you with that secret. You don’t know us” Chloe answers this time

“Ok, well what’s the plan now then?” Jane asks trying to break the tension by changing the subject

“You, Mal and Evie need to cast a spell to hide the identities of those from The Isle. To protect you” Lonni explains to them

“We need you to do that to us as well. Our mothers might recognise us from our trip to their past. We also haven’t been born here yet so we don’t want to mess that up either” Red comments

“Ok, then what?” Jane asks

“Maybe we should stay here until morning and see if anyone finds us here” Lonni suggests

“We can make up an excuse. Maybe we all woke up here together and we have no clue how we got here” Mal suggests

“We just need to decide if we want to tell anyone the truth about us. Also, where are we all going to stay?” Evie wonders

“Well if Jay wants to he can come stay with my parents and me. You’re my brother Jay” Lonni explains

“Can I stay with my Aunt and Uncle?” Dizzy asks

“That’s not a good idea. If you want to stay with family, you can stay with me and Red” Chloe suggests she doesn’t want Dizzy anywhere near her brother afraid of what might happen

“Where would I go?” Mal asks

“You could stay with Grammy. That’s what you did last time. Both you and Dizzy lived with my Grammy. We were like sisters” Audrey explains

“If I did I would have to explain about the future to her” Mal mentions

“You did that last time. Grammy could also find somewhere for Red and Chloe to live. Those two are my family” Audrey answers

“I could try and convince Mum and Dad to take in Evie and Carlos” Ben offers

“Ok let’s all get some sleep and figure out the rest tomorrow” Mal suggests

X-X-X

Chloe, Red, Audrey and Loni take one bed to themselves, Keeping Audrey in the middle to keep her safe. Just in case any of the others wake up confused in the morning. They want Audrey to be safe around the others.

Jane and Carlos take the other bed in the room. Dude jumps on the bed with them.

Dizzy thinks about it for a while before deciding to sleep on the couch as her body is only a one-year-old. She is small enough and fine with the couch.

Ben, Mal, Jay and Evie decide to leave. They break into another room and sleep there.

In the morning Mal, Evie and Jane cast the spell on those whose identities need to be hidden.

They decide to stay at Auradon Prep until they are found.

They head down to the courtyard and enjoy the sun.

Summary: Jay needs help and Lonnie is laughing at him.

Jay huffed before quickly dodging another stream of pee their new-ish son, Bolin, sent his way from where he was laying on the changing table.

"A little help would be great!"

Jin just kept laughing.

Which of course caused little Bolin (who had just learned to do so) to join in. Still peeing.

Jay groaned. "Ahh not you too, dude. You're supposed to be on my side! Not cool!"

Lonnie snorted, trying to stop herself from breaking out into laughter again as she made her way inside the nursery.

"How is the three month old supposed to be on your side?"

"Are you gonna help me or not?"

"Maybe, maybe not. Who knows."

"LONNIE!"

"Kidding. I'm coming."

Bolin and Jin didn't stop laughing.
