One of my favourite things about jegulily is that regardless of who got together first, once they agree to be poly, they all get to watch each other fall in love

Like James gets to watch them slowly realise they love all the same books, he gets to see them gradually fall into the routine of reading something together each night then discussing it over breakfast the next day. He gets to make breakfast for them while they giggle together over the most recent chapter and jokingly play out funny scenes for him. He gets to see the joy in their eyes when they have slightly different opinions on the book that they can debate and pick apart

Lily gets to see them both figure out that they share gift giving as a language, she already knew because the tried to pamper her whenever they could but she waits for them to realise it themselves. She watches as James brings a very miserable, sick regulus a basket of gifts and regulus buys any little thing he sees that he thinks James might like and they slowly understand that their way of expressing love is mirrored

Regulus gets to watch his partners fall into a habit of jokingly making fun of each other before they've even realised they do it. They'll all be out on a hike and Lily will grab him as if she's going to push him into the lake. James will 'accidentally' mismatch her socks just because he thinks it's cute when she scowls and tries not to laugh at it

I love them being all happy and domestic :(
