What if we were both magic prodigies and it otherized us in different ways and we devoted ourselves to protecting a family member who has general other goals & priorities. What if we both did self-sacrifical devotion in opposite ways.

Or at least they were headed towards that before SHE DIED THEN HE DIED THEN THEY BOTH FORGOT ABOUT EACH OTHER AND NEVER MET EVER AGAIN. Though she’s also the guard attack hound keeping him safe… And vice versa he heals her and can rewrite her very being with just one wave of his hand. They’re both so so mentally and physically vulnerable both but they cling onto each other. They can’t perceive things accurately but despite it all someway somehow they stumble into something closer to resembling companionship just before they both die. Falin is just that kind and Thistle is just that lonely. Overworked. We both haven’t lived for ourselves in a very long time, haven’t we.

They both have a similar devotion to the people they love but again the difference is that Thistle starts overtsepping while Falin is self-effacing. The other difference between them is that people care about Falin <3 People have given up on Thistle long ago, and he has given people reasons to, while people refuse to give up on Falin. Yaad has a mini arc about it dw about it it’s ok he’s not all alone in the end 😭😭 He reached out for Marcille’s hand but they already all wanted to help him, they just had to be given the chance to, Yaad just had to be given the chance to, it’s okay I’m okay

Not to get personal but I think the reason princess tutu stuck with me for so long after watching it is like. As someone with low self esteem and abandonment issues seeing our hero hate who she is at her core only to make a friend who not only tolerated her “ugly” side but is so so deeply charmed by who she is under the mask that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her no strings attached? That’s the fucking DREAM

It’s the fantasy of having someone who loves you even when you’ve stopped being useful, when you can’t be funny or interesting or any of the traits you try to cultivate to make yourself more palatable to others. It’s the fantasy of having someone see to the core of you and not flinching, instead, coming away more endeared than before.

Princess Tutu is about hope. When Duck, our hero who brings hope to everyone, falls into despair, her best friend is there to bring hope back to her. And I think it says something that hope is the emotion the show leaves me with too. Hope for a better future. Hope that one day, like Duck, I’ll grow out of the ugly duckling phase and be able to embrace my true self.

this might be just 3 am thinking but I think the saddest and most frightening thing, at least to me, is being alone.

not physically alone but mentally and emotionally alone. it legitimately scares me.

I'm a girl, so I know my parents and siblings are with me for only a while. it's scary to even think about loneliness. I'm fine with being alone, without a person, but being alone even when there is someone with you? that sounds terrifying.

the scent of dish soap, the soft whirring of a washing machine, the broom you forget to put back in place after cleaning. all that becomes a nightmare so quick.

it makes me sad that anyone, including me, is vulnerable to such a future. an other person who makes fears come true.

the very thought of being alone in such a circumstance makes me scared.

i feel as if im going mad so im going to just put this out here. real quick. movieunleashers starters ramble.

i cant stop thinking about how mudkip broke down in that one scene in "Typomaniac," when Chespin called him mean. for a second he lets his mask slip a little bit and to me he just... acts his age. he starts crying and calls chespin mean back. maybe im just hyperfocusing on this one detail but mudkip is about 12 years old.

and that just makes me wonder what happened in this guys life that brought him to where he is now. and it makes it all the more tragic how his whole world revolves around chespin, but he is the one bringing him the most pain. and how young he was when he died.

there is a large theme of growing up in "Rare Candy." the characters ages are emphasized in that particular episode, and one of the main conflicts is fennekin wanting to evolve faster.

the thing about characters in these stories is that they're not allowed to just be kids, to have a childhood. so many bad things happen to them. like. mudkips whole, Everything. fennekin when she was famous in typomaniac, or dealing with her own insecurities/pressure from society about her relationship w chespin. and chespin always having to shoulder his friends problems & always somehow managing to stay positive despite everything.

why cant they just. play video games. eat ice cream or something. go to the movies

at the end of the day, i think both mudkip and fennekin are characters who grew up too fast. by distancing himself from them, chespin refused to follow in their footsteps and just wanted to stay a kid.

Random Tintin headcanon that makes absolutely no sense but o don't care

Genuinely love the idea that his mother was French Belgian and his dad was Flemish Belgian because the chaos that wound ensue.

The rivalry between the families because "he's one of those Flanders folks" and she's "one of those Frenchies" and Tintin receiving his parent's will after they die (because mostbofbus have unanimously agreed that he's an orphan) and these two families squabbling over who has to take him and also how come HE gets ALL THEIR STUFF

But most hilariously, the idea of him having a a very "proper" French name (I know people who like Martin, Augustin and Austin but I like to make things crazy and go with Valentin because OF COURSE HE REFUSES TO BE CALLED ANY THING BUT TINTIN WITH A NAME THAT MAKES EVERYONE THINK OF VALENTINE'S DAY) and shrugging it off until Haddock demands to know his last name

And Tintin just says some garbled sounds that's somewhere between German and hghghghg and he's so confused??? And so fun to has to write it down and its friggin "Huyghebaert" or something and Haddock has an aneurysm trying to read it

Idk I'm really sleep deprived but Tintin having some whacky Flemish last name seems really funny to me. Ridiculous French first name? Or chaotic Flemish surname? The decision is still undecided
