So Wednesday night we had my mom's boyfriend's grandkids thrust on us and a neighbour's kid.

Neighbour's kid was great sweet little guy just wanted to watch Paw Patrol.

The grandkids on the other hand. Nightmares. The oldest would not behave because she didn't want to watch Paw Patrol. Oldest is also like 10 I think. So she'd run around bugging the other two kids and causing trouble and screaming. And it was like 11 at night so I'd go up and say in my 'firm adult voice' keep it down it's late our walls are thin so don't disturb the neighbours. Of course she didn't listen might have that defiant disorder. She also got told off by my mom's boyfriend and her mom multiple times.

The younger grandkid 5. Was not bad until the next day. They messed around with the baby gate we have so the dog can't chase the cats down the hall. And brought one of our cats into the living room when they were explicitly told to leave the cats alone. Play doh was also being thrown.

They were constantly chasing and picking up the cats despite being told no this cat does not like being picked up. Only one cat likes being held.

They were also throwing my mom's plushies that she has on the back of the couch around and were told to leave them alone. I got asked if they could have toys to play with and it being late said no. Also the 10 year old after I gave them trouble for the cat and baby gate had the gall to ask me if they could have popcorn. Like you were told to leave the cats alone I don't be thinking so.

Like yeah I was a kid once too. Yeah I terrorised my grandparents cat sorry Funny Face rest in peace. But I was also 5-8 and just wanted to pet her. Baby me was not used to cats not letting me pet them.

The difference in parenting between the neighbour's kid and the grandkids is interesting to see. Put simply it's not yelling at your kids vs yelling at them.

Why am I losing my mind on a AITA post you ask. Well I'm bored and had a bad day.

Some idiot decided to grab me in a fall guys final, I'm not mad about losing I'm mad about the guy grabbing me, reported them for griefing. I hate people who grab in that game with a burning passion. There's grabbing people to push them across finish lines and then there's grabbing people to shove them off a platform. And the only rounds where you should be grabbing people are only like one or two. And people defend it by going "but it's a game mechanic" "it's a competition" just because you can doesn't mean you should. And what do they think would happen in competitions or sports if they started grabbing their opponents in you know sports or competitions where you're not supposed to be grabbing people. Like take something like wipeout if you started grabbing your opponents and shoving them off platforms which you aren't allowed to do intentionally in wipeout, it wouldn't be recieved well and it is very obvious when that crap's intentional.

Then I was having issues in Sky. So in Sky there's these children of light that give you wing energy or whatever. I was trying to get one but its so hard to see and the area its in is so dark and I can't see the wall I need to fly up to get to it very well and if you're not at the right angle the glow of the child just kind of disappears. That's why I sent a thing to support like uhm hey can we maybe get a brightness setting because I can't see crap sometimes and of course it would be great for accessibility. The only brightness setting is your device as far as the switch is concerned.

And then I made spaghetti and spilled some dry noodles on the floor.

So yeah rough night.
