Kaito peeked over the cliffs again. "I give you my word as a thief."

"No good. I've known too many thieves."

"Is there any way you'll trust me?" Kaito asked.

"Nothing comes to mind," the man in black said.

Kaito touched the silvered metal on his face, the dangling cord with the clover in it. "I swear on the monocle of my father, Kuroba Tōichi, you will reach the top alive."

What?

What just came out of his mouth? All this time trying to keep it a secret, and he just blurted it out? No one could know! Especially someone who may or may not be the detective!

“Help me up.” The man's blue eyes flashed, and he latched onto the rope. He struggled, arms weak, so Kaito braced himself and pulled the rope, helping the man climb to the top. 

With one last jerk of the rope, he staggered over the top, and he landed on Kaito with a thud, knocking the breath out of them both. His lips were all that were clearly visible. "Thank you," he said quietly.

Kaito recognized those lips. He licked his own.

"Detective?"

"Kid," he acknowledged, then lifted himself off him, pulling out his sword.

Or what if you can’t decide which is better: porn 3 or porn 4? You could split your donation total and say, “5 votes for Option 3 and 5 votes for Option 4!”

There is a $1 minimum but there is no maximum! If you want to come in absolutely wreck the system by making it rain because you’ve just GOT to have that Gay Drama™ in your life, you can do that! If you want to give a little to a lot of different charities, or go all in on one charity you really love, it’s all good!

Vampire!Shinichi. Working title: Different Means. This fic would also feature magicalblood!Kaito (he’s basically vampire catnip in this scenario, let’s be real) and would be rated E for sexy times as well as for violence. (Whump? You better believe it.) The idea belongs to @kiwilart and their friend, but I got real obsessed with it and they said it would be okay if I wrote my take on it : ) This would be a little bit of a longer fic. Probably with chapters instead of a one-shot.

Gay drama! Working title: runner. Kaito’s deeply closeted and dealing with some internalized homophobia and it’s ruining his and Shinichi’s relationship. Can love conquer all? Well this one’s got a happy ending, so yeah, I guess it can lol It will be rated either E or M for sexy times – not sure yet. I’m guessing this will be a one-shot.

Porn! Working title: It Was Only Just a Dream. Starts out with Shinichi having a sexy dream and Kaito having a bit of voyeurism. Ends with actual sexy times~ Rated E. No plot. One-shot.

Other porn! Working title: Rival Fantasy. Involving blindfolded Shinichi, a bit of bondage, and a bit of roleplay as sort of pre-relationship thief and detective (instead of the practically married couple they already are in this fic). Rated E. No plot. One-shot.

Any one-shot fluffy get-together fic. I’ve got a fluffy get-together G-rated one-shot that I could probably crank out pretty quickly if it’s what the good people want :) Working title: In My Dreams from the song of the same title by Ruth B.

Detective Conan Movie Cut Scenes: The Private Eyes' Requiem. Has it been two and a half years since I posted one of these? Yes. But that doesn’t mean I’m not still working on it. But now you have the power to say, “No more waiting! Give us Kaito’s perspective on the hostages in a theme park and detectives wearing bombs movie!”

Look, DS, I just want you to focus on the the next installment of the Fall into Flying universe! I’ve been working on Blackout for probably three years now, and I’m still only halfway through the eighth chapter. The pandemic messed me up for a while, but if the people decree, I will get my butt back on track and focus in on this mighty beast of a story! This one comes with the bonus factor of tumblr teaser posts every time I complete a chapter! The first seven are already posted ;)

You are only voting for which of these WIPs I bump up to priority status. If your favorite doesn’t win, that does not mean I’ll never write it, but it could mean you’ll be waiting a much longer time to see it finished.

You may well see me posting items that are not the winner of this auction before the winning fic from this auction. That could be due to the fact that I owe specific people specific fics from other charity auctions, or as part of a commission exchange, or because I tripped and fell on my keyboard and oops I finished this other fic and what am I gonna do, not feed you guys? 16. DCMK-prince Shinichi

Whoops, another story idea that @bakathief and I accidentally got carried away with. This started as a writing prompt about discovering that the pretend wedding you had when you were seven has resulted in being surprise-engaged to a foreign prince, and turned into... well...

"I am Hakuba Saguru," the weirdo on his porch said, with a short, stiff bow. The name and the order of it stood in sharp contrast to his distinctly Caucasian colouring, but that wasn't nearly as interesting as the fact that Kaito recognized him now.

"You're in Aoko's magazines!" he exclaimed, with a snap of his fingers. He cocked his head. "What's a European baronet doing at my house?"

"Their majesties have not yet received your response, so I have been sent to confirm your attendance."

Kaito blinked. "Attendance to what?"

"Prince Shinichi's birthday celebration," Hakuba said. He didn't add you utter imbecile, but the condescending look on his face made it clear that it was heavily implied.

Kaito was shocked enough that he didn't manage to hide it immediately. "That invitation was real? Are you sure?"

Hakuba arched an eyebrow. "Why wouldn't it be?"

Hakuba, Kaito decided immediately, seemed like the type of person who technically possessed a sense of humour, but reserved it exclusively for passive aggressive sarcasm and traditional highbrow humour. Which meant that Kaito really had received an invite to the Prince of Beika's birthday party.

He sighed. How disappointing. This entire doorstop confrontation would have been an absolutely masterful prank.

19. DCMK-vampires

Okay, so this one was inspired by a piece of art by @kiwilart (not that she knows that oops) of Kaitou KID swooning in the arms of vampire-Shinichi. Which I am so super here for, but sexy stuff isn't my special skill, so I didn't get too far with the fic. Here's an attempt at subspace Kaito, I guess? IDK *flails*

Shinichi's face was shockingly clean, considering that he'd just been drinking Kaito's blood. The only trace of red was a single smear across his lower lip so artfully placed that, had he had the capacity, Kaito would have laughed at the sheer pageantry of it.

As it was, he simply stared. He felt dizzy.

Was that the blood loss?

Shinichi was staring at him, his eyes glittering as they absorbed every flicker of emotion on Kaito's face. "You like this," he said, and Kaito managed a single, spasmodic jolt in response.

Shinichi's grip tightened; the prick of unexpectedly sharp nails through the thick weave of KID's jacket made Kaito's breath catch.

"You do." His voice held that familiar flare of triumph that always heralded the moment when he'd solved a mystery. Kaito was sure he was supposed to be... something, about that, but the thought wouldn't stay still long enough for him to catch hold. "It makes sense. The uncatchable phantom thief, who's always prepared for anything. You're always so in control of everything, aren't you? The heists. The police force. Even your own voice, your face, your body. When was the last time you felt safe enough to let go of that control?"

Kaito made a sound that he would be terribly embarrassed about later. That wasn't... KID couldn't...

"Shh." One cool hand cupped his cheek, fingers butting up against the lower curve of his monocle. "It's okay. I've got you."
