Today, I’m having something that I have been craving for awhile now. Some of my followers will be like “Eek 😬 WTH? What is that…” since it will be a total different post I will be making from my usual ones 😉
This is a Korean food called “Spicy Beef Intestines Hot Pot” (Gopchang Jeongol) if you like tripe and hot pot then you will definitely love this! Please give it a try!
The texture is absolutely da bomb 💣
If you like something spicy, if you like hot pot, if you also like tripe (intestines), you will need to stop by your nearest Korean restaurant to grab these! 😊
Today is my cheat day and this is my cheat meal 😛 featuring Mr. Vodka (don’t have soju on me) & Beer.
Happy Friday. Cheers guys 🍻

18/5/2024 - Dinner
📍 Singkoba, Telok Ayer
Place charges GST and service charge but they are not reflected in the prices here.
🐮 Set N ($70)
Small intestine and large intestine. Small intestines were the powdery type. It's not very suited for BBQ tbh. The large fatty intestine was good though! It's similar everywhere. It needs a rice to balance out the fattiness.
🍜 Cold Noodles ($16)
It's alright, good enough to cut through the oily intestines but probably not nice enough to order on it's own.

HAPPY 추석!
It's Chuseok! Aka Korean Thanksgiving!!
So here are some Korean dishes, desserts, drinks, and snacks that I think the different members of the Bad Batch would enjoy!
Hunter:
Tumblr media
Lots of spicy soups and meat!
A lot of this is just honestly my dad's personal favorites because,, dads y'know?
I actually don't eat a lot of these things but Hunter's got a stomach of steel so I think he can handle it
Echo:
Tumblr media
Had a difficult time coming up with foods Echo might like since he's a picky eater
Lot of it is just really simple stuff with not too many flavors nor is most of it very spicy
Lots of veegtables and also things my sister and mom enjoy (both remind me of Echo)
Wrecker:
Tumblr media
So much meat!!! Let's be honest - any and all meat from Korea, Wrecker is going to enjoy
He was the easiest to pick out food for because I think he'd enjoy everything
Lots of street food as well!! Which are my personal faves <3
Tech:
Tumblr media
It was a bit difficult to figure out what Tech might like because I can't really get a read on him in terms of what his stomach can handle
I do think he has a sweet tooth though so I've included some of my personal favorite sweets!
I think he's a snacker though so a lot of these are just stuff you can much on
Crosshair:
Tumblr media
Another picky eater - so it was difficult to come up with things for him
I also just think that he's not a big fan of Korean food to be honest :/ a LOT of it is spicy and he can't handle his spice so he doesn't really like it
HOWEVER he loves the ice cream and drinks of course <3
Omega:
Tumblr media
SNACKS AND DESSERTS!!
Also included some childhood favorites because I think Omega would enjoy them as well!
Honestly most of this is just sweets because I think Omega would enjoy any and all Korean snacks and desserts above all else
Names of the foods and whatnot under the cut!!
Anything marked with an '*' are traditionally eaten during 추석! Anything highlighted in blue are my personal favorites! Read from left to right to identify dishes!
Hunter:
Kimchi jjigae (김치찌개) - kimchi soup; pretty spicy, honestly not one of my favorites but I think Hunter would enjoy spicy foods
Hotteok (호떡) - Korean dessert/street food; it's like a pancake with either red bean or sweet syrup inside and is served warm - I think it's like the one sweet that Hunter can tolerate
Bulgogi (불고기) - popular beef dish; has too much fat on it for me to like it but I think Hunter wouldn't mind and enjoys them
Gamjatang (감자탕) - potato/beef soup - my parents' personal favorite; has big bones with a lot of meat I think Hunter would enjoy stripping off
Sundae (순대) - "Blood sausage" - steamed pig/cow intestine with other ingredients inside; another one of my parents' favorites
Haejangguk/Hang over soup (해장국) - Korea has a heavy drinking culture so they have a whole ass soup to have after hangovers; I think Hunter would enjoy it and since he probably has bad migraines from overstimulation, this soup would help
Baccus (박카스)- Korean energy drink; he needs it - basically uncarbonated Redbull
Jollypong - Cereal snack; my personal favorite - included it with Hunter because my dad also loves this snack and has eaten MY jollypong on numerous occasions
Dalgona Coffee (달고나 커피) -Uhhh, I'm sure you probably know what this is - I think Hunter would enjoy the very needed coffee
Terra Beer - The only beer I like other than Modelo - my 큰아빠 introduced me to it and it's great
Peanut & Squid Ball Snack - This is just such a DadTM snack idk

Dwaejigogi-bokkeum (돼지고기볶음) - Mmmh spicy pork!
Jokbal (족발) - Braised pig trotters - it's super good and you eat it with a spicy sauce
Soegogi-gui (쇠고기구이) - More meats! Very chewy meat. Can be pork or beef.
Echo:
Bibimbap (비빔밥) - Classic Korean food; think Chipotle bowl but with Korean veggies and meat - basically just rice, ground meat, veggies, and other sauces (if you want) and sometimes an egg
Sikhye (식혜)* - Rice punch; pretty sweet
Mandu-guk (만둣국) - Dumpling soup; pretty plain but one of my favorites
Cucumber Kimchi (오이 김치) - literally just in the name; it's cucumbers made similarly to how you make kimchi; a banchan (side dish)

Mu-Guk (무국)* - Radish soup, pretty simple and plain in taste
Makgeolli (막걸리) - Rice Wine - because Echo is a wine mom, of course he's going to enjoy rice wine too
Turtle Chips - My sister's personal favorite chips - they have a very strong smell and are usually corn flavored
Kopiko Coffee Candy - When he can't get to actual coffee, he can rely on this candy to give him some caffeine boosts - also one of my mom's favorites
Bae (배) - Korean Pear - My favorite fruit ever; tastes like a mix of an apple and a pear
Yujacha (유자차) - Special kind of tea made from the yuja fruit
Injeolmi (인절미)* - A type of rice cake covered in dried bean powder
Gochu-bokkeum (고추볶음) - A banchan that's basically just kimchi-fied peppers
Goguma (고구마) - Cooked sweet potato - another of my mom and sister's favorites
Galbitang (갈비탕) - Beef soup - something simple in taste, good amounts of meat, another of my mom's favorites
Crispy Rice Rolls - Literally just like,, rice sticks; I don't really like them any more :/ but they look like rations - another one of my sister's favorites
Wrecker:
Bossam (보쌈) - Steamed pork that you usually dip in spicy sauces and wrap in a lettuce
Budae Jjigae/ Army Stew (부대찌개) - A popular, spicy, Korean soup made of a lot of ingredients
Kimbap (김밥) - Korea's version of sushi
Jjampong (짬뽕) - Seafood Soup (usually spicy)
Korean Fried Chicken - Any and all types of KFC; it's so fucking good you guys, my absolute favorite
Korean Corn Dogs - Another one of my favorites; a street food that can be made in various ways
Sotteok Sotteok (소떡소떡) - Street food; rice cakes and sausages on a stick
Samgyeopsal (삼겹살) - Black Bellied pork - served with a multitude of things and is one of my favorite things to eat because half of it is the experience of cooking it with my family
Galbi (갈비) - Korean Short Ribs
Jokbal (족발) - See Hunter's (I think they'd both like it)
Shrimp Chips - Chips flavored like shrimp - the man likes seafood so I think he'd enjoy this
Shin Ramen - Spicy instant Ramen
Homerun Balls - Like those Hello Panda candies - it's a cracker with chocolate filling inside
Papico Ice Cream - Chocolate ice cream
Myeolchi-ttangkong-bokkeum/Anchovy Banchan (멸치땅콩볶음) - Baby anchovies that are seasoned and mixed in with peanuts - banchan dish
Tech:
Gyeran Jim (계란찜) - something like an egg soufflé that is steamed instead of baked and doesn't have any dairy products
Japchae/chapchae (잡채)* - Glass-noodles; has a good amount of vegetables in it
Miyuki Guk (미역국) - Seaweed soup; my personal favorite soup - usually eaten on birthdays - also, like me, I think Tech doesn't care for the 'seaweed' part of the soup and will fish it out and just drink the soup
Curry Buldak (불닭) - Big fan of the idea that Tech loves curry so by default he probably enjoys the curry buldak as well
Mandu (만두) - Korean Dumplings - any and all, Tech just enjoys popping them in his mouth
Yeot-gangjeong (엿강정)* - Rice cake dessert mixed with various nuts
Red Bean Hotteok (팥호떡) - Read Hunter's - I think Tech would like the red bean version
Korean Popcorn - Idk how to describe this other than it's just,, Korean popcorn - it's really good despite not tasting like anything
Binggrae Power Cap Soda Flavored Ice Cream - An ice cream that kinda is like a slushie and has a very unique taste
Korean Curry (카레 라이스) - Again, Tech loves curry so he loves Korean curry as well
Ojingeochae-muchim (오징어채무침) - Seasoned Dried Shredded squid - a banchan dish that I think he'd enjoy slurping up

Odeng (오뎅) - Fish cake - either in a soup or a skewer
Dalgona (달고나) - From Squid Game; a sweet cookie that usually has some little fun shape in it - again, Tech has a sweet tooth but he also attempts to try and get the shape out
Maesilju (매실주) - Plum wine - it's sweet so I think Tech would like it
Crosshair:
Bingsu (빙수) - Korean Shaved ice - comes in various flavors and served usually with condensed milk (he's so getting a stomach ache after)
Tofu Stew (순두부찌개) - But non-spicy (just like me) because Crosshair's stomach can handle only so much
Jjajangbap (짜장밥) - Black Bean Paste with Rice
Cheese-tteok-kkochi (치즈떡꼬치) - Cheesy, fried rice cakes on a stick - Had to give him something on a skewer and it's cheesy so he loves it despite not being able to really digest it
Seolleongtang/Ox Bone Soup (설렁탕) -
Juk (죽) - Rice porridge - something simple to soothe his stomach
Melona - Popular Korean ice cream bar brand
Flavored Soju - Any and all flavors of soju, he loves. It's going to get him real drunk real fast so watch out-
Ice Yogurt Ice Cream - What's better than the Yokult drink? How about yokult ice cream? His stomach is in so much pain.
Milkis (specifically the Strawberry flavor) - Carbonated milk soda! Before you say "Ew, that sounds disgusting" fucking watch yourself because it's the best drink known to man and I'll die on that hill
Banana Milk (바나나맛 우유) - literally in the name - banana milk; he'll drink it and say it's not that bad because it's banana flavored
Choco-Pie - Basically just a moon-pie - it's a chocolate pie with marshmallow filling on the inside
Tteokguk (떡국)* - Rice Cake Soup - it's easy on the stomach and isn't spicy; he also likes chewing on the rice cakes
Cass Beer - Korean beer - my parents' personal favorite
Pocky Sticks - Um,,, toothpicks - must I say any more?

Jjajangmyeon (짜장면) - Black Bean Paste Noodles - childhood favorite dish!! Super messy and had to wear a bib for the longest time every time I ate this dish (technically a Chinese dish but shhhh)
Bungeoppang (붕어빵) - Pastries shaped like fish filled with various things like redbean, nutella, or custards (my personal favorite)
Tteokbokki (떡볶이) - Rice cakes with various other ingredients - spicy and one of Korea's more popular/well known dishes

Doenjang jjigae (된장찌개) - Soybean Paste Soup - a really simple soup that is sometimes spicy - I just think Omega loves soup
Songpyeon (송편)* - Red Bean Rice Cakes - very chewy, very colorful; I think Omega would like it
Carbonara Buldak (불닭) - My personal favorite flavor of Buldak - Omega can't handle full spice yet but that doesn't stop her from eating it
Yakgwa (약과)* - Honey/Fried Korean cookie - tastes kinda like a donut
Samanco (싸만코) - Like Bungeoppang, it's a fish shaped dessert; but this one is an icecream and usually has various flavors like red bean, strawberry puree, chocolate, or matcha (this is something Crosshair would probably enjoy as well)
Banana Kick - Banana flavored chips shaped like cheeto puffs - one of my favorite Korean snacks
Milkis (밀키스) - Again, like Crosshair I think she'd love this drink

Potato Tornado (회오리 감자) - A seasoned fried potato strewn out on a stick - Korean street food (something I also think Wrecker would enjoy)
Hwachae (화채) - Watermelon fruit punch - served with various fruits and jellies; it's just a cute little sweet thing I think Omega would enjoy very much

Rating Mongolia ships lel
Monchu: 9/10 I love hatesex and terrible relationships and watching divorced people argue about divorced people things.
Tibmon: 100/10 this is endgame for me. Tibet is his weird girlhusband. Show some deference to your spiritual leader™ Mr Mongolia
Turkmon: 2/10 I really don't think Mongolia cares about Turkey that much sorry. Turkey tries to LARP as a steppe nomad to get Mongolia's attention and he probably finds it annoying. Though this could be funny so that's why it's a 2/10
Monpan: 7/10 I need them to be angry naked wrestling together right now actually. Bear on bear lurveee
Kormon: 6/10 they have some pretty interesting history together also South Korea has Mongolia in a chokehold right now when it comes to K dramas and the amount of Korean stores and products in Mongolia. Only getting a 6 because I haven't had much interest in it so far.
NKmon: 7/10 ok so this could also be quite interesting as NK does actually have a pretty good relationship with Mongolia and they have a shared history when it comes to communism. I've heard it be called a "special relationship" because Mongolia manages to keep good ties with both North and South Korea without really stepping on either of their toes. I should probably explore it more
Rusmon: 5/10 So this could either be done really well or really badly depending on who's handling it lol. I do like how complicated the relationship between them is and I sort of have an idea of what my interpretation is but unfortunately I got turned off from wanting to explore it more fully. So only 5/10 from me. Maybe some day
Monviet: 5/10 there's a very specific AU I have which I think their relationship is funny in but I'm. Not giving the details here it's way too raunchy. Sorry. Other than than I think it has the potential to be an interesting relationship especially considering modern history
Indmon: 7/10 I need India to serve Mongolia food that will destroy his intestines please thank you
Tuvmon: 8/10 they have a long history together and I need to watch them arguing over who's the better throat singer. For research purposes. Also Mongolia unironically believing that Tuva has a stealing problem makes me cackle

dinner @ Il Poom
Cozy dinner last month with Susan - at a (likely family-run) Korean restaurant in the south side called Il Poom.
Here, I'll give you a preview of our meal:
Tumblr media
It has been a while since I've gone out for Korean food :') I really don't dine out much these days, which is why there has been a major shift in my posted content, esp since the pandemic. But more so now, 'post-'pandemic times, things just cost so much more! But anyway, once in a while is okay haha & I LOVE Korean food so I'd wanna try every new Korean restaurant that opens in Edm.
Tumblr media
I believe they've been open since the last quarter of 2023. Correct me if I'm wrong! I've only heard about them/seen their posts on socials in January. Located in a small strip mall, I had high expectations!
Tumblr media
The entrance had this chalkboard sign. .. "Dumplimg" soup haha
Tumblr media
Got a table that was right in front of their semi-open kitchen. Definitely a diff kind of view at Korean restaurants here in Edm. However, this is a suual sight for casual family-style restaurants in Korea. So I actually enjoyed this =]
Tumblr media
Not a lot of business fr a Friday evening but I didn't mind at all. There were a few other tables of customers that shared the space during the time we were there. Everyone was speaking Korean haha honestly, I felt like I was 'brought back' to Korea.
Now let's take a look at their menu.
Tumblr media
Me being me, I had already browsed several times before arriving here but there were items that were no longer available.
Tumblr media
A good selection of menu items. Korean restaurant menus aren't very extensive that usually cover a few categories. This place was no exception.
Tumblr media
You're sure to find something for everybody.
Tumblr media
Their drinks. We wanted to try the Mae Hwa Su but they sold out. The lady recommended the Bokbunja instead (the black raspberry wine).
Tumblr media
Bokbunja with banchans: potato salad, radish kimchi, cabbage kimchi & stir-fried soy sauce fish cakes.
Their kimchi was so good! It's not very fermented so it's not sour. It was more savoury than spicy or sweet. Reminded me of the kimchis I had in Busan, where their kimchis were more salty.
As for the wine, I liked it! It was very sweet!
Tumblr media
Doganitang: ox knee soup.
I've never had ox knee before.. . Personally, I am not a fan of tendon, cartilage. .. that kind of stuff. The texture is unattractive to me. Ox knee though. .. it's not a common item on menus here in Edm so Susan & I decided to give it a try. Broth was a creamy off-white colour & comes with a side of noodles. (1 small bowl of noodles with the soup; not per person at the table)
Tumblr media
To my surprise, I did not think there would be too many pieces of whatever ox knee looks like in the soup lol there were about 8-10 pieces. I had 3 pieces - & you know what, it was tolerable! I wouldn't have gone for a 2nd & a 3rd piece if I didn't like it. Texture was soft; wasn't gooey, wasn't crunchy. It means they've boiled the heck out of it. The broth was quite bland though; however, that's what these broths are like. You have to add your own seasonings. I like the radish kimchi :P
Tumblr media
Next up was the yookgaejang, spicy beef brisket soup. Guess what, it had intestines in it o_O I've never had yookgaejang with meat pieces other than beef brisket lol it was diff. Not only that, it also contained scant amounts of tripe. Although I didn't mind the extra stuff (I don't eat intestine but had 2 pieces bcos again, I thought it was okay), I do prefer the 'original' version of yookgaejang. I just want the beef brisket! Flavour & everything else was good though!
Tumblr media
Last item: seafood pancake. YUMMMM! The size was large; plenty of seafood; exterior was crispy. .. delicious!
Would 100% go back!

below lies tf2 mercs as korean soups
so walk away if you don't wanna see a bunch of korean soup pics
Tumblr media
Scout - Bean sprout soup
Scout's thin and young, like beansprouts.
Ohh look little shrimps are there too.. basically the Scout Soup amirite
You can whip it up in no time, and later when you come back home from the work, you don't even bother to reheat it (which is a very Scout thing to do). It's very commonly eaten cold, even ice cold.
Something that will provide minerals and water after a day of running around under scorching badwater sun. It's like Gatorade but soulful and fibrous (sounds even worse)
Tumblr media
Soldier - Seaweed soup
Koreans got the US ARMY SOUP but hey it'd be too easy if i did that for soldier...
This soup is so thick it's not going to steam when it should be steaming hot cause the steam literally can't escape this thick shit and I think it fits dumb(thick) and temperamental(hot) soldier so well..
I can imagine soldier trying to gulp down this thing and get burns all over
It is called May Saying E Guk (not a standard romanization but it does sound like that) like the VA... Rick May.. ok..?
Tumblr media
Pyro - Soft tofu soup
Hey it's red, spicy, and will be still boiling on your table.
Plus the soft part. The Pyro Soup.
at this point i wanna quit but will just push through
Tumblr media
Demoman - Spicy seafood soup
You know how Demo has a pirate/seaman theme going on, like the Swashbuckler item set, Tide Turner, Loose Cannon, Pirate Bandana and so on?
You could drink endlessly to this soup, eat the soup again for hangover, and start all over again.
This soup often has Styela clava, I can't explain what it is but it's an animal, it's pointy and full of sea water that's gonna explode in your mouth if you bite on it, possibly burning your mouth.
Tumblr media
Heavy - Red bean porridge
Ok this is technically not a soup
Koreans eat this thing in the winter solstice to ward off evil spirits and winter solstices tend to be pretty cold?? like Russia??
Red like communism.
It has hundreds of red beans like heavy shoots hundreds of bullets in a minute (600 rounds/min in-game)
This porridge is often eaten sweet, and Heavy is a very sweet guy to his family and Medic.
Warm & sweet in a cold day sounds very like Heavy
People eat this soup also in North Korea(obviously..?), Japan, China, and Vietnam. Hey wow look 3 other communist countries I've already told you this thing is red
Tumblr media
Engineer - Ox bone broth soup
To make this bone broth soup milky, you want to first soak the bone for several hours while regularly changing the water, and then boil it, remove the first broth, and then boil it again for hours and hours on high heat.
It requires so much patience like playing Engineer does.
You would typically make this soup in a huge pot - and everything is bigger in Texas, I hear.
Tumblr media
Medic - Hangover soup
There are quite a few types of hangover soups in Korean cuisine, and I'm talking about the hangover soup with blood pudding and intestines.
Blood pudding here is basically just clotted blood so I think med's gonna love the idea.
Tumblr media
Sniper - Oden stew
Sorry I can't come up with anything Korean with Sniper so here's a Japanese cuisine
Tumblr media
Spy - Chicken and octopus stew
It's a mystery how korean food offers dishes so fitting for tf2 mercs
This stew has tentacles (Spy) and a chicken (France)
It is called Hae sin tang that means the Sea god soup, and the name's so pretentious I think Spy would love it.
It's not a traditional dish. It was only invented in 2005 so it's pretty new, like how Spy carries weirdly high-tech gadgets like disguise kits and invisibility clocks.
Hey it even disguises as a traditional food so there's also that.

Week 5 Fandom
The Hwasa Effect
Imagine being so powerful, you could sell out literally anything you touch. From food to sheet music. I can’t relate, but Hwasa surely can! In this week’s blog post, I will be discussing fan culture’s influence on our society, more specifically the economic influence and the fan economy. The example we will be using here is none other than Hwasa from Mamamoo!
Tumblr media
Hwasa is dubbed the “sold-out queen” for a reason (Valley 2020). She can make sales skyrocket by simply using a product with no intention of advertising it in the first place (Valley 2020). This has happened so many times, the South Korean media refers to this phenomenon as “The Hwasa Effect” (Valley 2020). This phenomenon is very similar to the term “economic influence”. For a celebrity to have economic influence means the celebrity has the power to impact the activities, decisions, and outcomes of the economy. The economic influence of a celebrity helps in shaping trends, business operations and consumer behaviour.
Back to the Hwasa effect in South Korea. Hwasa has had this ability, ever since she appeared on the reality TV show called “I Live Alone” where celebrities who live alone go about their daily routines while cameras are filming them (IMDb 2013). In one episode, Hwasa ate by herself at a gopchang restaurant which is a restaurant that serves small beef intestines. Apparently, that restaurant was on the verge of shutting down as it had little to no customers but ever since that episode of Hwasa aired, that small business of a ground-floor restaurant soon turned into a 2-story restaurant with customers constantly coming in and selling out the food there.
youtube
Being a regular guest on that reality television show, Hwasa accidentally sold out a bunch of food products such as marinated crabs, seaweed crackers and jjapaghetti with truffle oil, because of this, the term “Hwasa effect” was born (Hwasa Global 2019). Every food product that Hwasa eats, constantly selling out the minute the episode airs, shows the audience that this product is good and since anything Hwasa touches sells out, surely it is a great product and people will immediately buy it because they trust Hwasa’s taste.
Hwasa has done multiple commercials, more specifically food commercials as these food companies have been seeking her endorsements. They know that putting Hwasa’s face or even her name on their products is a very reliable form of marketing strategy and it will get the entirety of South Korea to sell out their products. This shows that Hwasa has a huge fanbase in South Korea and her fan purchase power is extremely strong as they not only admire her but they also trust her in terms of her taste.
In conclusion, the term “Hwasa effect” is basically another term for “economic influence”.

Note
Nothing more korean lactose intolerant than chugging a handful of tablets to eat dairy products, or buying an americano to avoid the wails of your intestines, or getting a latte from that new menu anyway not caring about the repercussions
Hahahha, I've already been wondering how so many cheese products in food stalls and supermarkets could ever be sold. (Still regretting that I didn't have the time to try out dakgalbi with cheese, it looked like the most sonful joy. :'))
What is a dietatry restriction to the will to enjoy diary products?!

Reply from post Upcoming The Sims 3 CC Food... Authentic Chinese Food
Hello @simsoftianxia !
Finally, there is actual mature adult, polite, and appreciative comment. 👍
Yes, actual authentic Chinese food is really delicious indeed. I am very glad that you enjoy my varieties of my food CC too ^_^ (which is...  zòngzi and Indonesian food). The authentic Chinese food I represented are quite expensive that are usually served in restaurant and the most famous ones.
The Sims is life simulator genre where Sims spend their time 30-40% eating as normal daily lives like real life human lives, therefore, food representation must be make sense and relevant like real life ones.
Tumblr media
From the render picture, clockwise starts from top:
牛肉炒麵  Niúròu chǎomiàn (Stir-fried noodle beef)
四川麻辣豬肉拉麵  Sìchuān málà zhūròu lāmiàn (Sichuan hot & spicy noodles, served with pork meat and Pak Choy vegetables)
四川擔擔麵  Sìchuān dàn dàn miàn (Sichuan hot & spicy noodles)
紅燒豬蹄  Hóngshāo zhū tí (Braised pork trotters)
紅燒肉  Hóngshāo ròu (Red braised pork belly)
燕窩湯 Yànwō tāng (Swallow bird’s nest soup)
蒜蓉炒青菜 Suàn róng chǎo qīngcài (Stir-fried Pak Choy with garlic)
餛飩湯  Húntún tāng (Wonton soup)
脆皮燒肉 Cuì pí shāo ròu (Crispy pork belly)
And on the center is 北京烤鴨  Běijīng kǎoyā (Beijing roasted duck)
Yep, there are a lot of Chinese food variants other than I created above due too many and there are many different regions/provinces provides each local cuisine. Hot pot, Dim Sum (someone in Sims community already made Dim Sum CC, no need for me to create), fish, crabs, pork sausages, rice porridge, century eggs, 饅頭  mántou bread, 油條  Yóutiáo fried dough similar to churros, and more🤤.
If you interested in Chinese culture, here is additional info written by myself, not copy paste from other sources:
Tumblr media
Chinese food is meant for sharing. Chinese & general Asian culture emphasizes on family, unmarried adults still live with our parents. Chinese dining table usually has round shape because round symbolizes “unity”. One big table serves many varieties of meal as options, then put it on one bowl of rice with chopsticks. Chinese chopsticks are the longest compared to Japanese and Korean.
Food that we ethnic Chinese usually eat is very different than food labeled as “Chinese food” eaten by Americans and Westerners in general. Real Chinese food has pork, seafood, vegetables, noodles (many variants of noodles such as wheat noodles, that has yellow color as the most common noodles known as 麵 miàn and rice noodles known as 米粉  mǐfěn), rice (as staple food, 粽子 zòngzi and  糯米雞 nuòmǐ jī , known famously in Cantonese: Lo Mai Gai have meat filling wrapped in leaves, rice porridge as comfort food), steamed bun, hot pot, incorporates 5 Spices (star anise, fennel seeds, Sichuan pepper, whole cloves,  cinnamon stick), and herbal as health supplement (ginger, red fermented rice (紅麴米)). Meat used are not just chicken, duck, beef, fish, pork, but there are a lot such as frog legs and sea cucumbers (very expensive served in restaurant). Also, meals using pork organs (liver, intestine, ear, nose), pig blood and chicken feet. As typical Asian culture, we are creative about food. One ingredient of food can be cooked in many ways: steam, boil, stir-fry in 10 or more 50 different ways.
Fried rice is actually home-cooked food from leftover yesterday rice. But nowadays fried rice becomes one of important menus on food stalls and restaurants with a lot of modified 菜 (meat & vegetables) and seasonings. Meat used for the meal must be fresh, not frozen for too long. High-end Chinese food using high grade quality meat, seafood, and soy sauce.
Definitely much more healthier and more variants than Americanized/Westernized Chinese “greasy - sweet sour something” which is labeled as “cheap fast food” in Western countries.
---------------------------------
Therefore, do not believe “Chinese food” represented in The Sims 2,3,4. All of them are not authentic, Westernized Chinese food in Western countries’ Chinatown, cannot represent real food in China, Taiwan, Hongkong. Because of too many variants, TS3 World Adventures should provide more local food slots for Shang Simla (has 2) rather than Champs Les Sims (has 4).

relationship status: aroace + in a qpr
favorite color: midnight blue. even better when there's glitter!
song stuck in my head: hey guesss what aeolianblues, we're stuck in verona hell together! specifically the transition from the chorus to the bridge, i don't know WHAT they did to make it so magical but i'm still getting dopamine shivers after months of listening to it endlessly.
last song i listened to: telekinetic by starset (SUPER great metal band that sings about space. the frontman has a doctorate's in physics so he knows what he's about)
three favorite foods: soondubu (korean spicy tofu stew) with intestine,
last thing i googled: "mar-a-lago" (context being that trump was squawking that he was going to get arrested today at 3pm ET and wanted his followers to show up at his house and protect him. afaik nothing has happened yet and the turnout has been... dismal.). also. do yourself a favor and switch to firefox & duckduckgo as your main search engine. free yourself from the tentacled grip of google products
dream trip: getting a time machine with infinite money and going back to 2001/2002 to follow muse around for their OOS tour. that or just getting a van and going on a long roadtrip along the american southwest from utah to new mexico and seeing all the canyons and rock formations and maybe even aliens.
anything i want right now: oh boy. what DON'T i want? my stupid astrophysics degree (six years and still only a sophomore, holla), to improve my guitar-playing technique (i've gotten better since i've made the time to increase the amount of time i practice per week), get back in the practice of singing (did it for church as a little kid for years but stopped once my family left and did not have much to sing about), to convince my friend to pick up the drums (not his fault he's hesitating, his room is tiny and a drum kit will take up literally all of the remaining space), starting a band with aforementioned friend (aeolianblues i feel your pain across continents), and a little house out in the desert where i can live in peace.
i'm tagging: @stickyglitterdetective, @king-of-kaoss, @prttyinpvnk, @spotifydweller, and @cydoniansworld, and ANYONE else who wants to participate!

If you want to experience real old Seoul people's life, then you should visit this restaurant ✨️
You know, a restaurant in which many old people are in is the most delicious one in that area. This place is perfectly fit in this statement ❗️
Now in viral, also many young people are waiting in a queue. You know what it means 😌
Okay, the foods you must order are
1. 알고니볶음/Stir fries of Fish Roe and Intestine
The most popular menu in this restaurant. Actually I visited here for this. This is the red one on pictures I posted. Stired and fried with special sauce, you can taste real Korean style food with steamed rice. You may recognize you already ate 2 bowls of rice with this 😋
2. 대구탕/Codfish Soup
Second food I strongly recommend to you guys. One funny old idiom : Korean food must be served with a soup ❗️While you eating your rice, you may recon that you need a soup for drinking. Then this crystal clear codfish soup will satisfy your thinking.
❗️You must order 'extra' codfish soup, not for a main dish one❗️
🔥 And all of these foods are perfect with soju and beer
I hope you enjoy this restaurant while you traveling in Seoul ♥️

Cooking dump of the week. Cooking is something that I have always loved to do. When I got diagnosed, it stole so much joy out of it for me. This thing that I loved so much had been slowly eating away at my small intestine. I've been trying to slowly get back into it. To not let my ED come back in full force. It's even hard, most of all since I have been scheduled for even more tests. Here are a few of my makes this week. -crispy rice with salmon -spicy Korean soft tofu -gluten free apple tarts #food #Cooking #illness #ed #edrecovery #eating disorder #gluten-free #glutenfree #chronicillness #cook #mentalhealth #foodie #eat #eating (at Bucks County, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp1LDWqMWYV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Understanding Parenteral Nutrition (TPN): Components, Delivery Methods, and Applications
Definition and Purpose of Parenteral Nutrition Parenteral nutrition, also known as total parenteral nutrition or TPN, refers to the delivery of nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the usual process of eating and digestion. It is used for patients who are unable to digest, absorb, or metabolize nutrients from foods or dietary supplements due to conditions like short bowel syndrome, impaired intestinal function, or other severe gastrointestinal issues. The goal of TPN is to provide patients with essential proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients necessary for growth and energy when oral or enteral feeding is not feasible or sufficient. Components of Parenteral Nutrition A typical TPN solution contains macronutrients like glucose, amino acids, fatty acids or lipid emulsions, and added micronutrients like vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Glucose provides the main source of carbohydrate calories while amino acids, primarily from soy, dairy, or corn proteins, serve as the building blocks for the synthesis of new proteins and tissues in the body. Fatty acids provide concentrated calories to increase energy levels. Added vitamins and minerals ensure patients receive adequate levels of essential micronutrients their body needs but cannot obtain from the gut. Some solutions may also include supplementary hormones, fiber, or additional components depending on individual patient needs and medical conditions. Delivery of Parenteral Nutrition TPN is delivered through a central or peripheral venous access catheter, usually placed in large veins in the neck, chest, or groin. The most common type is a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) which can remain in place for weeks or months to facilitate repeated TPN infusions. Parenteral Nutrition total nutrient fluids are administered continuously over 10-24 hours via an infusion pump to mimic physiological feeding and allow for proper digestion and absorption. Close monitoring under medical supervision is required as incorrect rates or mixtures can cause serious metabolic complications. Conditions Treated with Parenteral Nutrition Some of the most common clinical conditions requiring long-term TPN support include: - Short bowel syndrome: When a large portion of the small intestine is surgically removed due to diseases like Crohn's, cancer, or vascular thrombosis. - Bowel obstructions or fistulas: Blockages or abnormal connections between bowels that prevent normal nutrient passage and absorption. - Motility disorders: Problems like intestinal neuronal dysplasia that affect proper bowel movement and emptying. - Severe pancreatitis: Inflammation or damage to the pancreas gland that impairs digestive enzyme production. - Radiation enteritis: Damage to the bowel lining from radiation therapy that causes severe malabsorption. - Multiple organ failure: When several vital organs like liver or kidneys stop functioning temporarily or permanently. - Gastrointestinal anomalies: Rare congenital defects in newborns that require bowel surgery or have abnormal gut structure.

Don’t Try This At Home
The mid-morning can be hard for school students. The day is warming up, the sun is beginning to glare, and lunch seems just around the corner. Their minds may begin to drift to their Vegemite sandwich brought from home, the trans fat laden goulash pie from the canteen, or for terminally online teenagers, the video they watched recently of a small Korean woman ingurgitating seemingly unending piles of food. With this in mind, a hungry student without an ability to filter his thoughts is destined to call out in the middle of a lesson “How much food can a human stomach hold?” “About two litres,” I say, semi-confidently. “How do you know that?” asks the student.
When I was in university, I once participated in the overtly masculine activity of White Fear, a contest where participants try to drink four litres of milk as quickly as possible, in an act Aristotle would have described as “reserved for fuckwits.” The challenge with White Fear, apparently, has to do with that fact the human stomach can only hold two litres of fluid, requiring participants to continuously disgorge their digestive contents. This is also the sort of “fact” spewed by the kind of people who would convince their friends to participate in White Fear, so the validity of such a thing may be in question. Regardless, I have learnt the hard way that when a student asks a question whose answer reveal more information about your backstory that you would like to share, it is best just to respond “I don’t know. I just know things.”
As the discussion began to quiet down, a soft, sheepish voice asked out of the blue “can a racoon fit up your butthole?” Now this poses an especially difficult question, because was she talking about my butthole specifically? Is this something people are supposed to know about their orifices? This geography lesson was well and truly off the rails. “What made you ask this question?” I responded, quizzically. “I don’t know. Someone just said you could.” Again, I was wondering if this was a general statement, or if I had just been challenged to commit a heinous act against an innocent woodland creature.
“So, what did you say?” a colleague asked, hours later. “Obviously, I had to look it up.” According to a less than credible source, a human rectum can stretch up to seven inches (about 18 cm), while a racoon and fit in a whole that’s as tight as four inches (about 10 cm). Therefore, it is theoretically possible for a racoon to fit inside a human’s lower intestines. Obviously, this has nothing to do with topography, or whatever ever it was the students were supposed to be learning that day, but at least they walked away learning something.

Natural Probiotics for Women Nurturing Health from Within
In the intricate tapestry of human health, gut microbiota plays an instrumental role, and for women, the significance of maintaining a healthy gut cannot be overstated. Natural probiotics, often hailed as the custodians of gut health, offer a myriad of benefits that extend far beyond digestive wellness. This article aims to illuminate the pivotal role of natural probiotics for women, providing clear guidelines on incorporating them into daily life to achieve optimal health outcomes.
 The Essence of Probiotics
Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when consumed in adequate amounts, confer health benefits to the host. They are predominantly bacteria, akin to those naturally residing in our intestines. These beneficial bacteria aid in maintaining the delicate balance of the gut microbiome, which is essential for digestive health, immune function, and overall well-being.
The Unique Needs of Women
Women’s health is a complex interplay of hormonal, reproductive, and lifestyle factors. Natural probiotics offer targeted benefits addressing specific health concerns, including:
1. Digestive Health: Women often experience digestive issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and bloating. Probiotics can alleviate these symptoms by restoring gut flora balance, enhancing nutrient absorption, and promoting regular bowel movements.
2. Urinary Tract Health: Women are more susceptible to urinary tract infections (UTIs). Certain strains of probiotics, particularly Lactobacillus, can help prevent the recurrence of UTIs by inhibiting pathogenic bacteria.
3. Vaginal Health: The vaginal microbiome, primarily composed of Lactobacilli, plays a crucial role in preventing infections. Probiotics can help maintain an optimal vaginal pH and prevent conditions like bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections.
4. Hormonal Balance: Gut health is intricately linked to hormonal regulation. Probiotics can assist in managing conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and premenstrual syndrome (PMS) by modulating gut microbiota, which in turn influences hormone levels.
summary
Probiotics offer a range of benefits for women's health, particularly in the gut, urinary tract, and vaginal areas. By promoting a healthy balance of bacteria, probiotics can improve digestion, reduce UTIs, prevent vaginal infections, and even contribute to hormonal balance.
 Incorporating Natural Probiotics
Natural probiotics can be incorporated into the diet through fermented foods and beverages. Here are some potent sources of natural probiotics and guidelines for their consumption.
1. Yoghurt: A staple probiotic-rich food, yoghurt contains live cultures like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Choose plain, unsweetened yoghurt to avoid added sugars, and consider Greek yoghurt for higher protein content.
2. Kefir: This fermented milk drink is a powerhouse of probiotics, boasting a diverse range of bacterial strains and yeasts. It can be consumed on its own, added to smoothies, or used as a base for salad dressings.
3. Sauerkraut: Fermented cabbage, known as sauerkraut, is rich in probiotics and fibre. Ensure you choose unpasteurised varieties, as pasteurisation kills beneficial bacteria. It makes a great addition to salads, sandwiches, and as a side dish.
4. Kimchi: This spicy Korean dish made from fermented vegetables is not only rich in probiotics but also in vitamins and minerals. Incorporate kimchi into meals as a condiment or a side dish to reap its health benefits.
5. Miso: A fermented soybean paste, miso is commonly used in Japanese cuisine. It can be added to soups, marinades, and dressings. Opt for organic miso to avoid genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
6. Tempeh: Another fermented soybean product, tempeh, is a versatile and protein-rich food. It can be grilled, sautéed, or used as a meat substitute in various dishes.
7. Kombucha: This fermented tea beverage is known for its probiotic content and potential health benefits. However, it’s important to consume kombucha in moderation due to its acidity and potential alcohol content.
Summary
Yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, tempeh, and kombucha are all delicious ways to boost your intake of beneficial bacteria. Opt for plain yogurt, unpasteurized sauerkraut, and organic miso for the most probiotic punch. Enjoy kimchi and kombucha in moderation due to their acidity and potential alcohol content.
Guidelines for Effective Use
To harness the full potential of natural probiotics, consider the following guidelines:
1. Diversity: Incorporate a variety of probiotic-rich foods to ensure a wide range of beneficial bacteria. Different strains offer different benefits, so a diverse diet can enhance overall gut health.
2. Consistency: Regular consumption of probiotics is key. Aim to include probiotic foods in your daily diet to maintain a healthy gut microbiome.
3. Pairing with Prebiotics: Prebiotics are non-digestible fibres that serve as food for probiotics. Foods like garlic, onions, bananas, and asparagus are rich in prebiotics. Pairing probiotics with prebiotic-rich foods can enhance their efficacy.
4. Mindful Eating: Pay attention to how your body responds to different probiotic foods. Some individuals may experience bloating or gas initially, which usually subsides as the body adjusts.
5. Quality Matters: When choosing fermented foods, opt for high-quality, organic options where possible. Avoid products with added sugars, artificial ingredients, or pasteurisation, which can negate the benefits of probiotics.
Summary
Eat a variety of probiotic foods for diverse gut bacteria. Daily consumption is key. Pair probiotics with prebiotic foods like garlic and bananas for a gut-friendly boost. Listen to your body - some initial discomfort might occur. Choose high-quality, organic fermented foods whenever possible, and avoid added sugars and pasteurization.
Incorporating natural probiotics into your diet can lead to transformative health outcomes. Women who prioritise gut health often report improved digestion, increased energy levels, better skin health, and enhanced mood stability. The positive impact on urinary and vaginal health can significantly improve quality of life, reducing the frequency of infections and discomfort.
Moreover, by nurturing your gut microbiome, you’re fostering a robust immune system, which is particularly crucial in today’s health-conscious society. A balanced gut can also contribute to weight management and a reduction in chronic inflammation, which are vital components of long-term wellness.
Embrace the journey of gut health with enthusiasm and commitment. Start by incorporating one or two probiotic-rich foods into your diet and gradually expand your repertoire. Listen to your body, and make adjustments as needed to suit your unique health needs.
In a world where quick fixes and synthetic supplements often dominate the health landscape, natural probiotics offer a sustainable and holistic approach to wellness. By nurturing your gut with nature’s own resources, you’re investing in a foundation of health that supports every aspect of your life.
In conclusion, the power of natural probiotics for women is profound and far-reaching. With informed choices and consistent habits, you can harness this power to achieve optimal health, vitality, and balance. Let this be your inspiration to take charge of your well-being, one probiotic-rich bite at a time.
