Bar Exam Anxiety
I'm writing this during my 15-minute lunch break, in the midst of reviewing credit transactions. Despite the intensity, I’m glad to be learning and feel I have a solid grasp of the subject.
However, what I really want to talk about is the anxiety I've been feeling about the upcoming bar exam. There's so little time and so much to read. Each subject feels overwhelming, and my backlogs just keep piling up.
Anxiety affects me differently now. I barely eat, compensating for the emotional and mental stress by running more. When I do eat, I often feel like throwing up. I'm surviving on coffeeβ€”2 to 3 cups a day, sometimes two venti-sized. My body shakes, and I barely get 3 hours of sleep each night.
Even when anxiety hits hard, I remind myself that I will make it through. I’ve got this. I will ace this exam because I am meant for this. Though doubt haunts me day and night, I'm determined to prove myself wrong. If this path wasn’t meant for me or if this is not God's plan for me, I wouldn’t have come this far. I believe I belong here and will succeed beyond anything I've done before.
To myself: keep pushing. The 2024 you might be anxious and cramming, but the 2025 you will thank you for enduring and overcoming these challenges. You’ve got this.

I will return to not stanning politicians tomorrow but watching Kamala Harris destroy Donald Trump is like a religious experience to me. She's leading him into traps to distract him into saying nonsense about crowd sizes, pointing out how he is an adjudicated rapist and convicted felon, and just nailing every question.
I am smiling So Much after a really shitty day.
Now I understand why some people start riots when they win at sports.

Self-care night. Candlelight bubble baths, hair mask, manicure, face mask, home-cooked meal, a good book or your comfort show, some journaling... allow yourself some rest <3
Organise and use your planner/calendar. This will help you reduce stress by helping you stay structured and focused.
Update your Spotify playlists. Nothing is more annoying than being on the go, trying to relax to your music, and constantly having to skip songs that don't resonate with you anymore!!
Sunday reset is a non-negotiable!! laundry, fresh sheets, cleaning your make-up brushes, decluttering, etc...
Catch up on some sleep. Take a nap or choose a night to go to sleep extra early. (I recently read this article on sleep dept... VERY interesting!! -> Click here)
Plan a weekly girl's day!! maybe a picnic, some shopping, a movie night, or perhaps just a coffee date? make some plans and catch up with your girls <3
Go on a long morning walk; maybe you'll be able to catch the sunrise too!!
Buy yourself some flowers. You deserve them. <3

BUYING DREAM SCHOOL SUPPLIES ;
when ur school supplies are cute, you'll feel MOTIVATED to put them to good use. idek what it is. 99% of my school supplies are pink and because of that im motivated to take good notes, study my notes etc because seeing the sparks of pink just make me so HAPPY.
so ofc this year my school supply list has remained consistent in its color scheme of pink, pink and more pink πŸŽ€. some things on my school shopping list are ->
notebooks
a binder
dividers for the binders with adorable labels
pink and purple gel pens (along with black gel pens)
pastel highlighters
looseleaf paper
a fluffy pink pen
FIX UR SLEEP SCHEDULE ;
ik a lot of us (including myself some times) stay up for way to long and feel like our sleep schedule is BEYOND repair but it is not. u need to be getting back into a consistent sleeping routine that keeps u healthy and well rested not only for back to school but for ur own well being. you'll have plenty of time tomorrow for what u choose to stay up all night doing, i promise.

so this year i'll be taking a semester online so i've been dabbling in figuring out the perfect routine for an online school regimen. one in which i could balance personal and academic life in a healthy way (get sunlight everyday, sleep on time etc) some things that im going to prioritize while doing a semester online are ->
β™‘ getting fresh air everyday
β™‘ going for a walk everyday and making sure to stay active
β™‘ NOT doing school work in bed
so a tip i've learned is that the things that u do in bed, your mind will like, associate ur bed with it. so for example if ur constantly playing video games in bed, when its time to relax and go to bed, when ur in bed your mind will be like "time to play video games". so i will not be doing school work in bed, also for a healthy change of sceneryβ€¦πŸ’¬πŸŽ€
β™‘ going out with my friends and calling them everyday so that im not isolated
β™‘ keeping a steady and productive routine
SETTING GOALS ;
lets be goal oriented, A+ academic barbies this year ✍🏽. to make sure that ur doing ur very best its important to set goals for urself. having something to strive for is a great way to stay motivated and disciplined during the year. my goal for my junior year is to keep my straight A streak and finish with my law distinction (im 3/4 of the way done). and ofc its important to break down ur goals, and i'll give an example of how i did this.
so in freshman year ik i wanted a distinction in law, and to get a distinction in law i would have to take 4 separate law courses. there are 4 years in highschool so if i took one law course per school year i'd have my distinction. but i wanted to expedite the process so i took one course freshman year, and two courses sophomore year. this year i will take one more.

this frees up SO much time for me to get another distinction and since i've already taken a course of business in freshman year, i'll strive for my business distinction tooβ€¦πŸ’¬πŸŽ€
if u dont know where to start with goal setting for school here are some ideas ->
β™‘ maintain ur current GPA or try and raise it
β™‘ never get below a B on any assignment or test
β™‘ do every single homework assignment (never take a zero)
STAYING ORGANIZED ;
staying organized is CRUCIAL for being successful in school. i use notion to keep myself organized during the school year. by putting down dates for tests in my calendar, ik when i need to start preparing. and by making a todo list everyday i can stay on top of my assignment.
if u struggle with school organization, set aside an hour a day to just make sure that everything is in its place. and it doesnt even have to be an hour, just set aside time every single day to make sure that everything it where its supposed to be. it'll save you SO much time in the future and you'll rly thank urself for it in the future.

Wake up before 8 A.M.
Only consume content that leaves some kind of benefit or positive/neutral impression on me
Be focused on what I'm doing in the present moment by developing better meditation and grounding practices
Move my body daily for at least an hour
Go outside and spending time in the sun and fresh air when the weather is nice
Become more disciplined by resisting the urge to indulge in distractions to train my self-control and discipline
Do tasks as soon as I can instead of procrastinating. Fight the executive dysfunction through positive frameworks (not shame)
Drink water before my coffee, and simply stay more hydrated
Learn to display my gratitude to/towards others
Go to sleep before 3 A.M.
Do everything with intention instead of staying in autopilot
Enjoy my time off and rest while I still have it
Discover and nurture my excitement for study through curiosity
