apparently aroace drew + lesbian piper being friends and having powerful fight scenes together (stuff like that) wasn’t necessary even though it would be making it clear women are badass and worthy even if they like to be feminine, even if they don’t care so much about their appearance, even if they don’t have a partner. it would also be addressing heteronormativity (how piper thought she liked jason because she was pushed into it since it’s the ‘norm’) but noooo instead it was necessary to make anyone feminine (minus silena who reformed then got killed off) a bad person and to constantly villainize drew to make the point that non feminine people, like piper, are better. i love piper the way she is, i don’t want her to be feminine but i do want her to be friends with feminine people rather than fucking enemies or whatever the fuck was going on with piper and every clearly feminine person in those books.

Drew opened her eyes, and looked at Elian's face. They always looked so calm and gentle.

"Look, Pride is for everyone in the community. It doesn't matter how you feel about your identity, it is there for you. You... it's..."

Elian rearranged themself in the bed.
